I’m so sick of having to explain to white people that even if they’re the nicest ever even if they’re an ally as pocs we have to be weary until we know otherwise. Because even the white “allies” have jumped ship and used their privilege against us when it’s convenient for them. Idc how you were raised, as pocs from birth we’re taught to be on guard, it’s unfortunate but it’s just the reality we’re living in.

I have not been online in a little while and that in itself is a privilege I acknowledge. What I’ve seen in the last few weeks have been as sickening as ever, notices air dropped on Palestinians telling them to evacuate the only “safe” place they have left. Less and less updates from bisan. Journalists, Doctors and record keepers being murdered by Israel to try and hide their genocide. More and more videos of children, babies being maimed and murdered. On top of that I see less and less people talking about it, moving on to the next thing or back to normal. There is no normal till Palestine is free! There is no pretending not to see what’s going on! Keep protesting, keep posting and sharing videos, pictures and stories, keep pressure on your congress officials, keep boycotting!

Stop relying on politicians to have your best interest, we’re nothing but votes and numbers to them. There are good hearted people who are in politics but unfortunately they never seem to make the ballot because instead of building community and outreach and pushing for those candidates we’re stuck between dystopia and diet dystopia. Stop looking to politicians and make community, push your causes in your communities, on your platforms. Be the change you want to see in the world, give these community leaders a better cause to lead.

When we all come together and realize that we are all in a constant state of unlearning and un weaving things especially about the ways in which we are taught to treat people, history, and politics, the conversations and actions to make better thoughts/politics/beliefs/and behaviors will have room to grow and thrive. The fact that some people are violently against this are simply immature and irrational. If you’re a reasonable, emotionally mature person you will understand that till your dying day , you will be unlearning and re learning everything. It’s not too late to unlearn learned behaviors, but it is far too late to continue to be ignorant, this world will not allow for it no longer, there’s no shame in learning and un learning, changing your opinion on things you’ve learned more about. Emotional immaturity has no place in mature places and conversations.

Just thinking about how in the west and modern day, the human body is only viewed as a sexual object, something to be shamed or hidden away, an object to be censored. Especially the female body. This brings up “but modesty! Have some respect!” Who’s to say a person who is willingly showing their body doesn’t have self respect or respect in general? Their modesty is different than yours, if you do not wish to see anything of that nature you can turn on safe search. “But what about the children?!” Children should be taught that the human body is more than a sex object, or sexual in nature. The human body is a suit of bones, muscles, organs, and organisms all formed together to make something beautiful. Sex is a part of nature but not everything is sexual. Breasts are nothing more than fat deposits once used to feed babies. A phallus is nothing more than an organ used to release kidney waste and produce testosterone. A vulva nothing more than a protective layer over an internal reproductive muscle. There is nothing on the human body that anyone hasn’t seen before no matter your gender identity.

By now we’ve all seen videos of people being murdered in Gaza, but if you can sit there and watch babies, women, children, elderlies, men, and pets be torn apart by Israel and weapons the US and Canada have provided them and stay silent you’re just as evil as the governments supporting this genocide. It is NOT antisemitic to call Israel and Zionist out on their shit, they will play the victim card because at the end of the day they have nothing else to play. Keep talking about Gaza and keep pressure on your senators and world leaders because if we as the western world don’t help them, Israel will level Gaza completely and they won’t stop at Gaza, they’ve already bombed Lebanon and Syria. It was never about Hamas, it’s always been about ethnic cleansing, white people not indigenous to the Middle East, Jewish people aren’t indigenous to the Middle East.
