for a while he'd be an AWFUL bf lmao

like he's not really sure how u ended up 'together', he just isn't gonna fight it

however, he is possessive of you. he does know that much. he doesn't know if he'd call it love, or lust, but he wants you to himself

so for a while you're just fuck buddies, and neither of u really do much else except slowly starting to know more about each other

you start realizing that you do infact like him for more than just a friend, and u realize that at some point he started treating you a little more softly

you'd probably 'break up' a few times, saying you never wanna see him again or him telling you to fuck off then leaving only to be back to normal within the week

he'd probably use you in various ways too. if you have money, it's his now too. he *needs* cigs, or he *needs* weed, or any other thing he's interested in at the moment.

he didn't start to change until these 2 things happened though.

1 - you fr left. you put up with him for months, and you were fine with how he acted when it didn't feel serious, but now it feels too serious to be treated this way, and he refuses to change. so you're actually done this time.

you disappear, you block his number and any social media he has. you stay away from ur apartment as much as possible so he can't catch you there. you move on with your life.

he doesn't think he cares at first, at all. as you leave after yelling at him about how over everything you are, he literally rolls his eyes and talks to himself about how dumb and dramatic you are. and he keeps living his life.

then 2 weeks go by, again your fights are usually done with within a week, so it's unusual for you to take this long to come back. so he texts you - blocked. he texts you on something else - blocked. he doesn't understand why this is pissing him off so much.

he goes to your house, banging on the door, but no answer. he stays around the area for a few hours but you don't come back, so he finds something to write a little note on your door to tell u to stop being stupid and leaves.

another week goes by and still nothing. now he's actively looking for you. he's going insane. all of his emotions feel bottled up and he doesn't know whether to be mad, cry, or be happy that he doesn't have to worry about you anymore. he's just anxious and all he knows is that at least seeing you will solve is problems

it's been over a month now, and he's distraught. he's mad at you, but he misses you. he sits there overthinking everything he said to you and even though he doesn't really want to put in the effort to change, he does know he treated you badly. he didn't know how he viewed your relationship but you took it serious, so he should have at least tried to. no one else is willing to put so much effort into him, and he fucked it up

he does still have his league assignments though, and this one assignment sends him a bit further away. he decides to fuck around with people, and he's 'chasing' some loser into an alley way with his hand lit up in flames, kinda snickering at how pathetic this person looks terrified out of their mind.

but suddenly, as the rando turns a corner, someone comes out of it, and both you and dabi are surprised to see each other.

you had run off to stay with a friend in this city, and were trying to go to the store while staying off the main streets (being close to dabi for months kinda had an affect on your reputation, so heroes tended to at least stop you to talk if nothing worse)

after a good few seconds of awkward staring, you turned around and booked it. all your hard work was going down the drain and u panicked and ran.

and that was the 2nd thing. you ran from him. he fucked up so badly that you took 1 look at him and ran. he didn't even realize that you noticed the way his eyes got all watery from seeing you, he looked like a kicked puppy.

he was genuinely just sad. still very angry, but sad. he couldn't even bring himself to chase after you, so he just made his way home.

you had been somewhat missing him this whole time, but you didn't regret what you did until you saw his face. it didn't change anything he did, and it didn't mean he loved you or anything, but now you really missed him.

so, you went back to your apartment, but after being gone for a month ur utilities weren't on, and you couldn't be bothered to fix all that yet, so you decided to go back to dabis.

you didn't even knock once you got there, you just let yourself in, having been given a spare key a while ago, but he wasn't there.

so to pass the time, you waited in his bed, and ended up falling asleep. a few hours later, you woke up to the feeling of someone laying behind you, with their arms lazily placed over your side, and you recognized dabis scent so you just went back to sleep

this whole ordeal wasn't really brought up by either of you. dabi thought about all the things you've ever asked him to fix, although he wasn't always actually listening so he didn't remember everything, and he slowly started trying

it did take a while for things to get better, but slowly but surely they did. he'd still throw fits and bitch about things you ask of him, and he'd probably have things he needs you to change too, but you guys would work it out

now, back to just pure headcanons, for when the relationship is good

one second he's overly rough with you then the next he's overly soft. this can be taken either sexually or innocently. he likes to bully you and mess with you in ways that most people would probably think is genuinely mean, but he's not trying to actually hurt you

if he did hurt you on accident he might call u a baby at first but then he'd apologize and like rub his fingers over where u got hurt

he tries to act sneaky with his affection, he wants you to more so be like "when did this happen?" "when did we start cuddling?" that way you 'don't realize' he initiated it. even though obviously you will

kisses are surprisingly gentle. he doesn't really like biting at your lips or shoving his tongue down your throat, they're a lot more gentle and intimate than you'd think

he doesn't kiss you often though, at least not full blown kisses because they hurt his lip, but you'll get pecks here and there. the bottom lip doesn't have too many nerve endings left, but sometimes kisses pull at the staples in his cheeks and that does hurt

showers are hard for him too. he's stinky. again, most of his burnt areas don't feel too much pain, some none at all, but it's kind of just a general uncomfortableness. also, he swears he can feel water seeping in between his flesh where he has his staples. so the only way he's gonna bathe is if you help him (at first, eventually he gets the motivation to do it himself) and he more so prefers sitting in a full tub while he gets scrubbed down and all that, he hates showers

he would set anyone who flirts with you on fire. 0 hesitation. he is possessive, and as your relationship gets healthier he gets more possessive.

he's a nerd, especially when it comes to space. so a serious date he would take you on is stargazing, and he'd describe any constellation or other cool thing he can find to you

he's pretty good at drawing, he'd definitely want tattoos if he was able to get them, but he says that there's no point considering the state of his skin. so, he designs some for you, whether you get them done is up to you. he'd also love if you got him a tattoo gun to do it for you

I love you isn't said until far into the relationship. it gets to a point where it's known between both of you, but neither of you say it. you want to, but you're worried it'll upset him, and he's scared to. in his mind, despite everything you've been through and how much he clearly cares about you, if he doesn't say it, it's not true. which means if you do leave, he can pretend he doesn't care

but he does say it eventually, when you're sleeping and he thinks you're fully asleep. however, you're not, and hearing him say that immediately woke you up and you startled him as your eyes shot open and you looked at him smiling huge

he dead ass tried to run but you grabbed him and told him you love him too, and he basically went yeah whatever :/ and left but it was to hide from embarrassment

dabi, no matter how much he tries to work on his relationship with you, has tons of issues. he's angry, he's anxious and depressed. sometimes something is gonna happen and he might take it out on you, and at first he won't acknowledge it. eventually he will though, and apologizes when he's calmed down some

also, he does want to stay with you, but that doesn't stop him from wanting to achieve his revenge on his family. the only thing that's changed is that he is more determined to make it out alive. he even considers faking his death afterwards, or letting people think he died getting his revenge, that way he doesn't have to deal with all the villain bs anymore

Chapter 23: The Party Era "Well… around a time like now, that asshole is probably somewhere in the middle of the party," Gojo explains.

The way he refers to Sukuna as an asshole has you worried. Are you going to have to deal with another Naoya?

Swallowing down a large gulp of nerves, you bat your eyelashes at Gojo, "Asshole…?"

He tenses up beside you for some unknown reason, "Uh… I mean, yeah." He shrugs, "Sukuna isn't the nicest guy in the world, everyone knows that."

Satoru describing Sukuna as an asshole, tensing up but only saying that he isn't the "nicest guy in the world".

"Sukuna…" Gojo pauses, thinking hard about something before shaking the thought away, "He uh… How do I say this… He'll," The man looks down at you again, "He'll be nice to you."

He wasn't worried that Sukuna would hurt her. It makes me believe there could be a closer hint towards Sukuna knowing who the reader was prior to this. If he knew about her then it would give Satoru a reason to be able to leave her alone with him without worrying that he would harm her (if Choso was being honest about the abuse-- which he would have no reason to lie about?).

Your body language made it so painfully obvious that you didn't want this guy touching on you and you eventually turned your head back to him, noticing that it was the same person Gojo snapped at earlier.

That realization caused goosebumps to form all over your skin and you tried telling the man to back off you. He definitely heard you but clearly ignored you, going as far as groping your ass and creepily smiling at you.

The exact same man from before? It seems suspicious that the guy would go after the reader more than once in the night, especially after being practically threatened with Satoru's eyes… maybe this was set up? (I'm stretching it).

In the blink of your eye, one second he was trying to come to touch you again and the next you saw a fist make contact with his jaw, a crack heard even through the music as his body stumbled to the side and then made contact with the floor.

Sukuna doesn't even bat an eye before he whacks this man to the floor for harassing a woman. It makes me feel like there's something there. Does he know her? Or does he genuinely just hate people making women uncomfortable, but that also defeats the purpose of what Choso said-- why would Sukuna beat a guy up for making a woman uncomfortabe if he beats them.

The smile that was once spread across his face drops completely when he looks at you.

Chapter 24: The Heavy Tension

FIFTEEN MINUTES. That was the exact amount of time it took you to seduce Sukuna.

The act was way too easy. Actually, it was suspiciously easy.

It's one thing for him to have made his introduction by knocking a creep out for the sake of you but it's an entirely different thing for the man to then order you to dance with him.

Still feels weird to me, but I'm not too suspicious given his history with women (provided in future chapters).

His introduction seemed pretty odd as well. I feel like because the man was doing this to multiple women maybe this was still planned??? But he's also a creep SOOOO!

A voice was right in your ear, lips brushing over your skin and giving you literal chills, "You're not uncomfortable with me touching you, right?"

After which, Sukuna says he's driving you home and you end up spending a lovely morning receiving princess treatment from the man.

But I’ll instead give you more things to consider based on these thoughts of yours! These are in no specific order btw so bear with me pls !

One, as said before, no one knows the time frame on what Choso said about Sukuna being abusive to women & I’d also like to point out how it’s clearly said that Choso moved out of their shared home the moment he got the chance to years ago.

While this doesn’t make up for anything, it is something to consider since he was quite kind to the reader & for him to act such a way it’s just out of character compared to what Choso says :)

Two, the creep who harasses the reader twice is simply just an example of men who just dont take the hint. He blatantly ignored Gojo’s threat and still approached the reader anyways — it wasn’t set up at all ^.^

People keep asking why Sukuna would assume the reader knew Choso. Well, they do attend the same university & as seen in the most recent chapter, most people are aware of the two being brothers — the reader being the only one out of the loop. Hell, even Shoko knew a bit about them since she said Sukuna doesn’t like being referred to as Itadori.

It’s never stated that Sukuna typically fucks & leaves. If anything, notice how he offers to be fwb to the reader. Never is it specified that Sukuna is the type to fuck someone once & then dip, especially as it’s later revealed the reader isn’t the only woman he’s interested in having sex with as he says he called the “wrong whore”.

Plus, despite Choso’s claim of Sukuna hitting women & us not knowing the time frame on that, note that his aftercare could just be who he is. I had to make him the king of something in this fic & I chose aftercare💀

That being said, sure, later down the line you could assume Sukuna would lose his temper and lay his hand on someone but never would you know if his aftercare to the reader is exclusive only to her or just how he is.

Gojo sending the money the next morning isn’t unusual in any way.

When the reader slept with Toji, Gojo knew (assumed) she’d done it without even receiving a text from her so it’s safe to assume he did the same with Sukuna and figured after not hearing a word from the reader, she’d completed her goal.

You don't have to answer this but I wanted to let you know you got me super invested in SunxEclipse stuff.

The way they are in the show has always intrigued me. Like the way those two interacted had always felt different in a way??? And I'd always get all excited when I found little similarities between the two characters.

Rambling a bit but does anyone remember how in the Halloween takeover Eclipse forced Moon to go through the same pain Sun went through when they shared a body? And he just left Sun to chill and nap in his own mind??? (Probably the longest break Sun's ever had btw akskdh) LIKE WHAT HELLO???

And there were plenty of times Eclipse could have just killed Sun but. Didn't? Like when he got into SolarFlare's body. And when Sun destroyed Moon's magic circles, Eclipse explained to Sun how he could fix the problem instead of just letting him walk into the raw magic and tear himself apart? (Think that was the longest and calmest convo they ever had lmao)

The fuckinggg. Symbolic base Eclipse had on the surface of the sun.

Alot more I could say (especially about how similar Sun acts like Eclipse in manyyy instances) but very eepy almost midnight.

Anyway I like SunxEclipse. Would never admit that off anon tho because the world is. Very mean. Sometimes. :/

At this point in show lore, Sun is the one who knows Eclipse the most. So who knows where we'll go with that.

And yeah... Forcing Moon to go through the same pain that Sun experienced when sharing a body.... I mean, sure. It was probably to get Moon to suffer. But that also feels so vengeful and purposeful.

It was also worth noting in the early introduction of Eclipse, when he was in Sun's head and leaking out during intense moments of Gameplay Videos. (and I still stand by that Eclipse was the one who said "Chillapachino" that one time and was enjoying being Silly with Sun.)

But whenever Eclipse took over in gameplay, he was always a little more angry.... Sure... But like.... He was also way more assertive, and tended to stand up to Moon more. Something that EARLY Sun didn't really do all that much.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I think he threatened to take away Moon's whacking stick at one point as well. But I might have imagined that and that might not have been a legit thing.

Not to mention GodEclipse kept Sun around of all people. He even killed Lunar in that dimension, but he thought Sun was worthy to live. He even wiped his memories so he wouldn't suffer too much. Even when we see GodEclipse he says "My Sun is dead" His Sun. Not like... "that nuisance" or "idiot" is dead... His Sun.

And Remember, GodEclipse is not TOO Much a Diversion from the timeline.

The only difference is that he won the fight with Bloodmoon and got the Star shortly after then. And he wiped everyone like he said he would, unlike Eclipse 2.0 who got upset cus Old Moon died and he had no one to monologue about his hate boner to.

Eclipse also in early episodes didn't really include Sun much in his evil Plans. His vendetta and focus was solely on Moon. Sun just kinda got twisted up in a lot of it due to circumstance and him being trapped in Sun's head.

But yeah... Lunar says that he knows Moon better than anyone cus he lived in Old Moon's head.

That goes both ways.

Eclipse and Sun know each other better then anyone at this point.

If there is someone to give Eclipse a chance, I hope it's Sun.

I feel Sun would be a hypocrite if he tries with Bloodmoon and doesn't with Eclipse.

alfred straight up murdering his brother on accident just because he walked too quietly into the room is so fucking funny but how terrifying is alfred to regular humans? If he goes to casually throw some ridicously heavy thing he's working on over to the intern or whoever theyre not gonna get back up on their feet to chew him out for it lol. also... getting shot and squished by bisons still hurts like all hell right? does matthew start to get wary around him or is he just too used to it to be all that bothered?

Lmao right? I very much enjoy using these characters, especially fleshy loony-tune-style horror shows because good fucking god, it's funny. But its also very fun? Alfred javelining people into the water must be so fun. Alfred casually picks up Matt when he's on the sofa because he dropped his keys behind it. He will randomly rip up troublesome trees in someone's fields in the middle of the night. This is not a wholly negative, angsty or even humourous trait.

So for humans... not very as an adult. I think. Generally, Alfred puts his people at ease. He's handsome, funny, intelligent and friendly. Man has that kind of crooked smile and easy charm. The charisma, luck and social skills of the gambler and the grifters and drifters of the old Westerns if not the old West. When he was little and had less control because he'd get excited, I could see him getting himself in trouble and accidentally committing some violence. As an adult, I think he's much more careful around humans, and the only time he tends to bust out the super strength is to prevent accidentally killing humans. Picking up a car in front of someone getting aggressive will contain that person's aggression goddamn fast.

As for if things hurt, yes. Superheroes and Gods are boring for me to write about. I like making these fuckers creepy and overpowered sometimes, but I'm most invested in their humanity. So time to do the math. The average bison is about 816 to 1,088 kg, and the most recent record for a deadlift was 487 kg. So on the lower end of that, 816 divided by 487 is about 1.67; redeploy that as a percentage that's about 160% the strength of what's currently possible. I personally think this is why this dork is always snacking, so it has some effect on his metabolism and his physiology. He's not going to starve to death as fast as he should with that metabolism because there's that nation fuckery there, but my boy is peckish. So now that I've laid that nonsense out, I generally make him about 160% more resilient than the strongest human (yeah, my browser history is fucked, what about it?), but not in all ways because biologically, that would fuck up his brain something fierce cerebellum be whack big and I like my nerdy NASA boy. But I try to keep that 160 in mind, so it might sometimes be consistent? Maybe? But yeah, he's durable and walks away from a lot of things that most people wouldn't, but he can be shot, dropped, smashed, hit, etc. And his pain tolerance is limited because, again, that removes too much vulnerability and why are we invested in this nerd? Lord knows it's not patriotism on my end. Strong, but not indestructible.

Now with the biology and the physical aspect of my stupid brain's explanation of this yankee doodle dumbass (affectionate) articulated, onto the emotional and interpersonal consequences. This is a bit meta, but Alfred's perception of himself and his loved ones can reflect this fandom and canon. I don't know if canon makes them twins, but many people do despite some intrinsic differences in history, progress, culture and values. It's a valid take because who wants to lord over other people or think about being the superpower and the empire? And passport privilege, cultural dominance, and political hegemony are things that only come into play when we're online or in some sort of international situation. The world revolves around the US, but Alfred's 'first amongst equals' with the laurels of power is not his default setting. At home, he just wants to be another person. Abroad, he has to function on a different set of rules, and leadership, and that arrogance only comes out at certain points. He wants to be human, he wants to be loved, he wants to be normal. And it hurts his fucking feelings to be reminded he isn't, that it is lonely at the top, that no matter how similar, the Trudeau quote applies.

Matt's used to him, and Alfred's reasonably careful, but the gulf between them, Alfred's ability to just steamroll him if he wanted to (even if Matt would give him a hell of a fight) does leave its marks. Matt tries as hard not to show it as much as Alfred tries not to crush him. He's overjoyed about something and goes in for a hug, and there go a couple of subluxing ribs as he kind of affectionately slaps Alfred's shoulder like "indoor muscles! Indoor muscles, bud!" And its mainly because Alfred doesn't like thinking about being a weirdo, and Matt doesn't want to remind him. They want to be as equal as possible, but physics is a thing.

Okay so, this is a bit of long shot but I'm planning on starting a fanmade project for TE. It's my favorite choices story and there's still so much you can do with it.

I'm currently figuring out how to use Ren'py right now and watching videos and what not to figure out how to do this. I'm pretty new to all this but I think it'd be a fun project.

I'm probably gonna do some of the writing like the plot and Shreya's route (best girl) and also as I said I'm figuring out the coding as well.

But I'm definitely gonna need some help on this. I know others have expressed interest in a 3rd book and now is your chance if you're willing to help. Again it's fanmade and we're not making money off of this, this is just for fun and you can bail at any time.

I'll be making a discord once I start to get some interest in this so the link will be up at some point but if you're interested, just comment saying you'd like to help and what you'll be able to provide for this project.

Co-runner- I'm gonna need someone to help me run this project, help me keep the thing running and I'm a bit of an idiot so I'll be coming to you if I need help with anything. You'll be the Atlas to my MC lmao.

I'm thinking we'll need some new characters for the plot and if you want, maybe some new backgrounds too (or we could just pick ones from the multiple backgrounds choices already has)

Writer- I'm a lesbian and obsessed with Shreya so I don't really have any idea about the other routes. But I know a lot of people are obsessed with like Beckett and the other love interests so anyone willing to help work on the different routes would be great. Not to mention the plot of the book, the adventures the pend pals could be getting into and side stuff like your relationship with your mom and the villains and such.

Coders- Like any great game, we'd need people who can code or wanna try it out like I'm currently doing. I've always heard Ren'py is good for that stuff and that's what the ILW crew used and that's what I'm currently learning right now so if you wanna try it out or already know how, we'd appreciate the help.

And of course, if you just wanna help out, you can join and I'll figure something out for you to do. My work schedule is kind of whack right now so this week we probably won't be getting anything done unfortunately (maybe Thursday or Friday if I have people and what not) but hopefully the week after, i'll have things figured out.

Aster, Atlas- Sophomores

But just like always, the school year is never simple for them.

The High Attuned has been watching over the school and visiting more frequently, keeping an eye on you and Atlas.

Zeph is having trouble with Thief captain as much as he hates to admit it.

Griffin is having parent troubles after they found out about his interest in Natural disaster field work instead of being a professional Thief player.

Shreya has hired an assistant to help with Serene and Sublime, though the assistant keeps messing things up and causing Shreya to lose customers, important ones at that.

With Beckett's urge to please his professors, he works himself too much to the point he begins to experience burnout and freaks out over the smallest things resulting in him pushing his friends away.

Aster is having trouble running the shop and keeping up with her studies and she's worried she might have to close it down.

Atlas is happy to catch up on lost time with their mom but when their mom becomes a professor for the school, Atlas isn't exactly sure how to feel about it and starts to lash out on Theia, resulting in the MC to have to try and fix the relationship.

MC does their best to help everyone with their problems but begins to have problems of their own when the school recruits another sun-att who does everything in their power to one up MC in every way.

Of course, it's just a rough draft of how I think the year should go, but we could always change stuff around if people have better ideas. Also, of course, there will be new spells to learn like in the other books and I was also thinking like...was I the only one that shipped Dean Swan and Theia together? Like Dean Swan already acts like a mother figure to the twins. And some of the sources will be back like Gemma and I really wanted to incorporate the High Attuned because we got like two minutes of information about them and then nothing ever again.

So yeah, this is super long and we can talk more on the discord but if you're interested just tell me what you wanna do.

ok so first i added a sixth grown, being the crown of amnesia. it's not actually in the land of the old faith, Woolbur's gonna have to go find it elsewhere but its an orange eye :3 (im also gonna write its own fic about it, bc i thought of it awhile ago) but i added another crown so i could justify the last crown having a seven pointed star lol

second, i gave all the other crowns animal forms as well. none of these are set-in-stone, but shamura's crown is a scorpion, kallamar's is either a jellyfish or a locust, heket's is probably a gecko or a salamander, and leshy's is probably a mouse or rat. leaning towards rat. the crown of amnesia is probably gonna be like a really small elephant or smth idk imma need help with that one, but the final crown, the crown of conquest, is gonna be a butterfly.

third, I want woolbur to interract with other lambs. that doesn't mean their people survived, oh no, he gets to meet lambs from outside the old faith. he joins a council of lambs, gathered to protect their kind, and quickly the rest of the council realizes that they placed a very powerful person on the council.

fourth, all of the bishops eventually join him. Narinder is last. in each one he overcomes their domain and gains their trust: for Shamura, they win a war they had no chance in. for Kallamar, they find a cure for a terrible plauge and administers it to all afflicted people in the cult. for Heket, they pull the cult through a great famine, and they even begin to thrive. for leshy, they whack him really hard on the head and runs away. in narinder's case, though, he just proposes to them and they get married lmao

theres a lot more that im going to talk about but these are the main things about it!! im really excited for this au

Authors Note: I don't really write or read fanfics or even books in general these days... sad. But I was inspired by an artist and I made this, lmao,, it's not graphic and no it barely contains any fluff or anything, but it does imply something at one part.

Please keep in mind that I don't write or read often at all, so this being pure shite isn't supposed to come as a surprise lmao...

What would otherwise be a very typical friday afternoon for team Red, had turned in to a few hours of complete frustration for the team's scout.

Jeremy had rounds before this felt the exciting thrills of bouncing off rooftops and straight in to the enemy team's spawn to whack people right in their heads, as well as zooming up to the enemy Sniper to give him a whack as well. He had been snickering the whole morning, putting enemy after enemy in the spawner, blasting them right in the face, bouncing around avoiding missiles, grenades and bulletshots.

He had been downright annoying, and he loved it. 

Finally he could maybe for once be respected for his success and ability.

He was so ready for it.

One of the snipers in team Blu completely raged after getting hit with a fish, splashing that rotting ocean water not only over the sniper's face, but also over the walls and anything else within range.

That same sniper sat in spawn after that, furious and cussing outloud, when another one, a fellow sniper, had finally decided to crawl out of his hole and come fight the red team.

The latter sat on the bench and watched as the former was complaining. While the first was always loud, furious and whiney, the latter was a reserved and methodical man. He always thought the other was a bit of an obnoxious mouthbreather, who never seemed to learn from his experiences. The theory was that he was too busy fuming about things and wanting black-seighted revenge.

The loudmouth's name was Lawrence, "Larry", while the other was Mick, "Mickey".

Mick had recently joined the team, but seemed to be a solid bullseye. He had a feeling Larry might be laid off if he didn't learn from his mistakes soon.

The two of them entered the battlefield again, both heading over to sit in their own little towers to peer through their scopes. They were not located many feet off from each other. Every once in a while, the trigger went off, and the familiar echo of the rifle rang through the valley.

While Mick sat in silence, he could hear the "Shit!" escaping Larry's mouth every now and then.

'Amateur.'

He listened intently. He took a silent, deep breath. At the very peak, he holds it... Bang.

'Down you go.'

He watched the enemy collapse as he reloaded his rifle. He jolted by the yelping of his fellow sniper in the tower to his east. He snapped his gaze to his teammate, who he discovered to be overrun by the same scout he had been whining about earlier. 

Mick got on his feet, raised his scope against his shoulder. Clear shot on the obnoxious scout. He pulled the trigger, and silence once again befalls the two towers.

Mick lowered his rifle, his eyes fixed on Larry, who was now correcting his vest and sunglasses.

Larry tried a nonchalant sniffle and gave a thumbs up.

Mick replied with an amused huff before sitting back down.

It didn't take long before Larry had been left alone by the enemy scout, and instead been frustrated by Mick "stealing" his kills.

Mick hadn't any intent to steal anything -- He was only doing his job after all.

It soon lead up to Larry throwing in the towel for the night, as the battle seemed to tire itself out.

There weren't many fighters left on the field. Even fewer were the enemies remaining.

Mickey, who had arrived a few hours later than the others, had only gotten started, he figured.

Besides, he had found a new favourite toy...

That scout from before.

He hadn't been able to get even close to the towers since Mick had been taking a liking to him.

This scout was fast. He was skilled. Unfortunately, Mick was just a bit quicker. And calculating.

~ ~ ~

The sun laid low now. It was snuggling up behind the mountains, and Mickey needed a small break soon. He choked a yawn, wondering where that scout had gone off to. The last four rounds, Mick had been chasing that speeder around with his scope, making him dance before blasting him back to last week.

It had been a while now...

Had he given up for the day? Was he pouting in his spawn?

Mick sat in his silence, sipping his coffee.

And suddenly...

The slightest change in atmosphere.

The softest pat of rubbersole on wooden boards.

Mickey shot up on his feet, kukri in hand, now facing the doorway.

There he stood. Sweating. There was a sense of horror in the scout's eyes, like stepping right in to a bear's den.

The scout had let his mouth slightly ajar, breathing whispering huffs of adrenaline, staring straight in to Mickey's glass-shaded eyes.

Mick held the kukri firmly in his hand. The corner of his mouth pulled, and he snickered.

Scout was, surprisingly enough, holding his handgun, pointed somewhere in chest-height of Mick's stature. Scout took slow steps in to the room before moving along the wall.

The odds were against Mick this time.

And yet, he went for it. He wasn't sure if the scout's aim was genuinely awful or if he only pulled the trigger when the sniper had thrown himself out of the way, but something felt off about it. He missed his shot.

Mick went in with his kukri, throwing the scout against the wall, threatening Scout's throat with a perfect angle for a good slice. In this motion, Mick had managed pinning the scout's right arm to the wall, holding the gun aimed away from their faces. 

Scout had yelped at the motion, thrashing and kicking. Mick held steady. The former was now frantically staring at his arm, as if trying to force it to muster strength to overpower the sniper's grasp. He darted his eyes into the stranger's eyes before trying to find somewhere less uncomfortable to look.

Mick wasn't wavering. He held himself composed, sternly looking at this quivering puppy.

'So helpless.'

The scout gave labored huffs of attempts to keep fighting back.

This was where Mick noticed the tears.

It distracted him enough to instinctively letting his guard down, which slightly loosened his grip.

This gave Scout an opportunity. It was only a split second, but it was enough for him.

Jeremy head-butted the sniper, and once a brief distance had been allowed, Scout flicked the gun upside down in his hand and struck the sniper over the face.

Mickey dropped the kukri as he staggered back, yet remained on his feet. That had pissed him off.

He came back with a swing of his fist and sat a solid bullseye on the scout's nose. There was loud crack, and blood.

And yet, Scout composed himself before he went in again, and this time, fired his gun with seemingly more attempt to kill.

In a last-second decision to move out of the way, the sniper's wound landed in the shoulder. He grunted and staggered, before swinging his other arm out. He managed to knock the gun out of the Red's hand, before grabbing him in the collar and shoving him around. They danced half a circle, landing the scout on the desk.

Mickey was fuming. He had made a mistake letting the scout distract him with those puppy eyes.

He really shoved him on the desk. He held a hard grasp of the enemy's jaw, almost squishing his well-sculptured face. Mick growled through a tooth-gritting smirk.

"Dominated," he almost snarled through his teeth, pushing his face close enough to Scout's to feel his own warm breath bounce back.

The scout teared up once again. The blood from his nose was running still, while the tears mirrored it, running down his right cheek.

"Sissy," the blue whispered coldly into Jeremy's ear.

Jeremy had tried so hard to get rid of this enemy.

He had no clue why the team had decided to appoint him the mission of taking him down.

Did they think it would be the same as with the other sniper? Regardless, they viewed him as a carpet. There had been plenty of other people capable in the red team, yet none seemed willing. They had shoved that mission on Scout, rather than admit their own incapability.

He had gotten his ass totally kicked the entire afternoon and evening, with his closest thing to success being wounding his nemesis in the shoulder.

He felt defenseless.

This man was leaning over him, pressing himself onto Jeremy.

He felt the stranger's hand searching for its way up under Jeremy's own arm, which he had put on the sniper's shoulder in an attempt to hold distance between them.

He felt the soft tug of the chain around his neck. The man was peering down at it. He sneered once again, and the scout realized immediately.

"Jeremy, eh?" he now looked at Scout, satisfaction plastered in those cold eyes. The dogtag had just given a name to the enemy, which was not a comforting fact to Jeremy. 

"You've been quite a mayhem to my colleague, I've heard," Mickey finally admitted. "And you've been quite a toy for me to mess with."

The timing of getting his head shoved in the gutter didn't feel appropriate, so Jeremy forced himself out of there. It sent goosebumps down his arms.

"You're quick on your feet, Jeremy," the aussie chuckled. "You almost had me... You were so, so close."

Jeremy listened. Usually, Jeremy is one to put up a good conversation while others sat in silence. As of right now, he just wasn't sure what to respond.

"You were however completely dominated. I've been dominating you since you showed up in my colleague's tower."

He corrected his stance, still pushing the scout to the desk.

He moved his leg, as it had gotten uncomfortable where it stood.

He moved it just a bit hastily, landing his mid-thigh where he thought was next to Jeremy's inner thigh.

Which... It was. However, this sudden movement had landed too well between the scout's legs.

Jeremy gave a surprised gasp, shoving hard on the other's vest, forcing distance between them.

Mick stopped dead in his tracks, studying Jeremy's reaction through unbelieving eyes. He didn't notice it himself at first, but it was instantly salivating in his mouth.

"You like that, you li'l freak," Mickey stated, rather than asked. "You can't even help your own face."

He continued studying the Red's body language, as Jeremy composed himself and stood up.

"You wish," Jeremy now wiped the blood from his face with the back of his hand.

"It seems more like... you wish." Mick sneered, giving a nod as he shot an implying glance down Scout's body.

Scout got flustered and looked squirmy.

"You... we're both guys! You know that just happens sometimes, I mean... c'mon, man! As if that hasn't happened to you in absolutely awkward moments... I mean... c'mon...!"

The time seemed to pause for a second.

They just looked at each other for a moment.

Until Mick broke out in full laughter.

Jeremy wasn't sure how to react. He started nervously joining in, before he also realized just how funny this was.

Scout and Sniper had just been trying to murder each other, and now they were laughing at men's anatomy needing a bug fix.

At least that's what Scout was laughing at. Until the blue asked the question, still cackling.

"You are a definite gay, aren't you!"

Scout sort of calmed his laughter a bit, processing this comment, before he laughed a bit further.

"Takes one to know one, am I right?"

The two of them laughed themselves to tears for a while, before having to sit on the floor and calm down.

They sat there in silence for a while.

Mickey gave Jeremy a cup of coffee.

"So... same time tomorrow, then?" Jeremy broke the silence.

"Sure."

"Cool, cool..."

...

...

"So are you actually gay? Or did you just call me that to insult me?"

"Do you want me to be?" Mick peered up at him, taking a sip from his cup.

"Is that an invitation?" Jeremy chuckled nervously, "nah, I mean... I like girls..."

Another pause. The sniper took a silent sip of his coffee.

"You mean, you like girls too."

"Huh? What? Oh! Erm... no! I mean... yes? Wait... I like girls. That's it. Yeah. I like girls. That's all."

"... Do you like girls dominating you, too?"

Jeremy's ears got hot. His cheeks too.

"No."

"So why'd you react like that?"

"Because. I... just. I don't know. I don't know, okay! I don't know. I like girls."

They sat silent for a bit, Mick sweeping the last bit of coffee before getting up. He cracked his back.

"You're like an old man, y'know." Scout teased him, also getting up on his feet.

"I sure feel like one," Sniper sighed as his body was snapping and cracking.

"Aren't you only like, literally four years older than me?"

"Yes."

"So why do you look like a grandpa?"

"Not sure. Why do you look like a 10 year old?"

"I do not!" Scout punched his arm.

"Maybe not, but you sure act like one."

Jeremy scoffed. "Unbelievable! What a jerk-face."

"Jerk-face? You are a walking example of what I just said."

Both of them gave a small laugh.

"Alright, asshole, I'm heading back to base. Thanks for not murdering me, and for breaking my nose."

"You're alright, Jeremy."

"You, too! Though... I never got your name?"

"Mick."

"Mick? Alright. I know what that rhymes with."

"You can grow up aaany moment now..." Mick pretended to look at a wristwatch.

"Oh, fuck off. I'm funny." Another mutual laughter.

"Alright. Head off, then."

"Aight. Get yourself to bed now, grandpa!"

"Sure will."

"Buh-bye!"

Mick hesitated, but decided anyway.

"Hey Jeremy?"

"Huh?"

"I like girls, too."

Jeremy's uncertain chuckle echoed.

"Alright, good to know!"

"Emphasis on 'too'"

"... oh... Oh! Oh, alright! Uh... Same, dude."

"Yeah."

"... Yeah... G'night then!"

"G'night"

The moon was sitting high on the sky by now. The red shirt of the scout vanishing down the valley had turned to purple in the blue moon light, and the sniper gathered his stuff before heading out as well.

What an odd day at work.

He could barely wait until dawn to meet his new-found nemesis again.

i watched ep 226 and i have some thoughts about it...

keroro being suspected for something he didn't do is often par for the course, and granted it's both because of his status as an invader and for his tendency to actually cause trouble

but this episode to me is fascinating because of what else it brings up in relation to it. remember red oni blue oni? keroro's conflict about... on one side, keron, on the other, pekopon... about being seen as both the villain and the hero, so his position isn't threatened, while trying not to lose his friends on both sides. he doesn't actually want to be an invader, but it's tied to a lot of shit like his self esteem and... well, stuff I talked about in the past.

I think at least subconsciously he is afraid that his precarious position may blow up in his face eventually, and that is why he's jealous of everything that threatens it by being similar enough to him/receiving enough praise that he feels he might get replaced by it. he needs his position to be exclusive, because if it isn't, he doesn't have any merits for it ("leaders don't really do anything..." But I think a similar emotion is true from Fuyuki's side, who's always been a bit lonely and overshadowed, so he'd be afraid of his trust being betrayed... but nevermind that, I like seeing keroro's situation specifically explored, because...

he knows he didn't do anything wrong, but his relationship with fuyuki means more than ego. he's willing to set it aside, and besides... it's easier with the guilt he already feels due to his situation, to apologize, because fuyuki means more to him than being right... his friends mean a lot to keroro, that's why relationship trouble with them so easily throws his emotions off balance. why he has to resort to everything else (denial, acting out, projection of guilt, people-pleasing, hiding how he feels, selfishness, etc), but with fuyuki in particular, I think it feels like the one relationship he hasn't messed up yet. honestly that person who said he's a dororo parallel was SO onto something...

they both love each other, but they're not infallible, so they'll let each other down, they'll misunderstand, they'll let their own feelings and fears and past experiences get in the way. they're not technically on the same side, after all

but at the end of the day they still love each other, they are healing for each other and for what it's worth, they saved each other...

but that's the thing to me is that, by merely existing in his life, I think keroro feels like he's being a weight to him. that he's doing something wrong, that it's selfish of him to want to stay. that he has to earn it and yes, that he's not needed (AKA REPLACEABLE...).

trust is something that has to be built in a friendship but... due to keroro's situation... he can never fully prove himself one way or another (it would mean treason...) and in this ep I see the tragedy of that. fuyuki loves him, and generally trusts him, but it's not like keroro hasn't broken his trust in the past or gone too far, it's not like his planet and plans aren't still a danger for them, no matter how he feels about it...

If you have time could you explain how scenting works in your fic? It's well established in abo fics but everyone writes it a bit different. Scent glands on the neck and wrists/thights are kind of standart in the abo universe, but some authors write it with rubbing them with their cheeks to scent.

As far as I understand, max can scent charles by licking, so with saliva? That would make sense. But he also scents charles with his hands. How does that work? Would charles be scented as soon as someone (an alpha) touches him?

And also, if most people are betas and can't smell max anyway, then wants the scenting good for. The only driver who can smell it is piere.

I actually did some research about scent glands (lmao guys for real. I researched so much biology for a/b/o, my search history was whack for a few weeks.)

anyway, I found this post with this drawing, which I thought was amazing and I loved it so much I decided to go with this "map".

even though I used those maps (and that sensitivity guide), I did pick and choose some of the lore around them, so that's not all entirely accurate to my universe. but you'll understand where my inspiration came from.

as for your specific questions:

what Max is doing is a VERY thorough scenting of Charles. Max using his saliva and rubbing almost every one of Charles' glands (except his inner thighs) and even other parts of his body is all an attempt to make it so that Charles almost exclusively smells like Max. even if Charles weren't using blockers, his scent would be layered underneath Max's so thoroughly an alpha at a distance might not be able to smell Charles under Max at all.

in terms of whether he'd be scented if another touched him - yeah. he would. if, for example, he shook hands with an alpha, that alphas scent would transfer onto Charles' hand. but it's only a quick touch, so it's only a faint scent. nothing like what Max is doing.

yeah, most people are betas and can't smell it - but Max isn't really concerned about betas anyway. the other alphas in the paddock, as few and far between as they are, not only now know Charles is an omega but also know he was auctioned off - they were invited to the auction. so Max is basically making his claim on Charles as thorough as he can with such excessive scenting.

As for how long it'll be... I'll try to be as vague as I can but it won't be crazy long, but it also won't be all at once, you know. A medium burn, if you will.

The boys are yandere for each other lol. Jungkook's ideal life is MC joining the fray like yesterday. He would never leave them, but he was indeed dead serious when he said he would take his life if they killed MC. It's all or nothing for him. There is no breaking up for them, there's just time and space away and that's it. Their relationship is super out of whack and only open because they were basically broken up without breaking up. Physical connection with other people doesn't matter because they have their emotional connection no matter what. Naturally, MC is going to change all of that big time lol.

I'd say she would be kinda yandere for them yeah, similar to bunny she never experienced love like this, and she already finds Jungkook's attention addictive so they'll have the same effect on her. She's also never been protected before so she will want to return the favor. MC is sensitive but first and foremost she is extremely deadly so lol~

Also I would say nah MC doesn't have the stomach for harming Jungkook, but she likes to think she does. She likes to think she's just as cold and heartless as she was raised, but I think deep down she didn't run at first partially because she knew it would hurt her and Jungkook too much. I cannot stress enough how much he was all she had and I am just waiting for an excuse to write their flashbacks hehe

Also maybe a spoiler but its fun so I'll answer a lil under the cut: heed any and all yandere warnings, they're toxic and crazy and mafia au dudes so they kill. Also the descriptions only apply when they are fully in love with the MC, which not all of them are yet so keep that in mind.
