Are you sure they like each other? (Alyssa Naeher x Reader)
Barely edited and I don't know if I happy with this, but I wanted to put something out. I hope you enjoy :)
Summary: Alyssa and reader are together, but very stoic and not affectionate in public. Think the team know they're together, apparently not. Start to question if they even like each other. Alyssa and reader turn into soft, love sick people when alone.
Warnings: Tiny bit suggestive, some swearing
Words: 3.3K
Alyssa had slipped out, taking our bags up to the room while I was surrounded by some of the team. I had offered to help, but she had insisted I stay to catch up, leaving before I could protest. Neither of us would be considered extroverts, though I was the one who liked to talk a bit more. Kristie pulled me into a tight hug before a few of the girls following suit, "How was your break Y/n?"
"It was pretty good. Alyssa and I just took it easy. Spent some time fixing up some of the stuff around the house I haven't had the time to do. Visited family, that sort of thing."
Confusion covered their faces, Kelley being the first one to speak up, "Wait. You spent the break with Alyssa?"
Now it was my turn to be confused. Alyssa and I had been together for almost 5 years, living together for 3. It wasn't something that had been hidden. Our relationship wasn't public knowledge, but friends and family knew we were together, or so I thought anyway. We weren't an affectionate couple in public or even with our friends, barely ever touching past an occasional hand on the back, a short hug after a game or if we were going to be apart. Occasionally, we would hold hands at home with family or I would lay with my head in her lap during movie night. I loved Alyssa more than words would describe, there was no doubt in my mind she felt the same. Public affection just made us both very uncomfortable.
"Why wouldn't I? We live together."
"Wait what? You and Alyssa live together?"
"You didn't know? We weren't hiding it. You know we're together right?"
Kelley looked as if I had grown a second head, "You and Alyssa are dating? No we didn't know that! What the hell Y/n?"
Alyssa's hand touched my lower back, letting me know she was there before dropping back to her side. "What's happening here? Why is there yelling?"
"Apparently they're just finding out we live together and have been together for the last almost 5 years."
"5 years?!? And you didn't tell us?"
Even Alyssa looked confused at this point, "What do you mean didn't tell you? It was never hidden. We assumed you knew."
Accusatory glares were sent our way while Alyssa and I just stood there confused. This was not how I expected my morning to go. "You've never kissed, held hands, cuddled or done anything remotely couple like. How were we supposed to know?"
"We've held hands a few times and I sleep against her on the bus sometimes. I get her coffee and breakfast every morning, Alyssa gets me flowers every week even at camp. Pretty sure we've mentioned our anniversary before. We say 'I love you' to each other all the time. Did none of you find that weird?"
"You're always sitting next to each other on the bus so no and we just figured you were close friends or something. I think there's been one time that you've gotten flowers from her in front of us."
"I've seen that a few times actually, but its always when she seems to have a bad day," Tierna spoke up.
Alyssa shrugged, "Well yeah, I get them every week, but if she's having a bad day then I'll get them on that day to cheer her up. Look, we just don't like PDA, we weren't hiding anything from you. We really thought you knew about us. And before you even ask, no we're not going to prove it. Now we're going to our room."
As soon as we entered our room, I flopped down on the bed, scooting over slightly when Alyssa lay down next to me. I pushed myself into her arms, leaving kisses on her jaw, her hand slipping under my shirt to draw random patterns. "You unpacked my stuff."
Alyssa held me closer, kissing my forehead. People held the impression that Alyssa disliked physical touch, which she did with most people. In reality, Alyssa loved cuddling with me, she loved holding my hand and kissing me. Just touching in general actually. When we first started dating, it was a welcome surprise. I expected some affection, but not as much as I received. There was definitely no complaints from me, I loved cuddling with my partners. "I always do, don't I?"
"You do and I appreciate it, but you don-"
She cut me off with a quick peck before speaking up not giving me the chance, "My love, how many times have you said I don't have to, yet I do it anyway?"
"Pretty much every camp," I mumbled against her neck, knowing what her response was going to be. It was always the same.
"Exactly. I do it because I love you and I want to make your day a little bit easier so how about you just accept it and let me do it."
It wasn't that I didn't like it, in fact I loved that she did it. I just always felt slightly bad when people did things for me. "Fine. I still can't believe they didn't know about us. I really thought they did."
"So did I. Maybe they just don't listen to us at all. It was all kind of entertaining though."
"It was, I can't believe they were so clueless. I have a feeling Emily is going to be annoying though. She had her mischief face on."
Alyssa's hand traveled further up my side as she rolled on top of me, "Unfortunately, I think you're right, but right now there are other things I would rather do than talk about Emily."
---
Just as I sat down for breakfast, Emily and Kelley slid onto the chairs in front of me. They just stared at me until I snapped, asking what they wanted. This was not what I needed early in the morning especially when I had only been awake for like half an hour. Alyssa was always down for breakfast after me, preferring to take her time to get ready and do her puzzles, while I just wanted coffee.
"So you and Alyssa are together right?"
"Uh yeah, why?"
"Just checking. How long have you been together?"
"Almost 5 years."
"How did you meet?"
I looked at between Emily and Kelley, trying to figure out why I was being interrogated once again, about my relationship. At this point, I was pretty sure the team believed we were lying or something. "You know this already."
"We forgot."
Alyssa approached, giving me a quick smile which I returned, "Perfect timing. I'm being interrogated about our relationship again."
"Why?"
I shrugged, pushing Alyssa's breakfast in front of her receiving a quite thank you. I didn't answer Kelley's question, instead deciding to eat breakfast before it got cold. "Are you two being forced to be together?"
Both of our heads shot up at that. It was such a ridiculous question. There would be no logical reason for us to be pretending to be together especially considering we weren't public knowledge. I bit back my laugh before answering, "What? What makes you think that? Why would that be a thing?"
Emily shrugged, "You just don't seem to like each other like that."
"Go away Kelley," Alyssa mumbled before going back to her breakfast. I ignored her again, getting up for Alyssa's coffee instead. When I returned, Kelley and Emily were still there, giving Alyssa a suspicious look. I handed Alyssa the cup before sitting down again.
"Thank you love."
Emily narrowed her eyes at us, "Suspicious."
Alyssa rolled her eyes while I flipped Emily off. This whole thing was starting to get old. "Go eat your breakfast."
Later that day, we were back in our room, enjoying the time we had before practice. Alyssa was reading, while I lay in the sun on the balcony. I started to want cuddles. I wouldn't say I was clingy because it was true. We could spend hours doing completely different things. Sometimes though, I just craved touching or being held by her. I gave her a few minutes before calling out to her, knowing she would come to me without hesitation.
Alyssa groaned, but got up, slipped off her shirt and sat down behind me with my head in her lap. We met in the middle, lips connecting briefly before I wiggled around to get into a better position. Alyssa eyebrows raised, amusement shining in her eyes, "Comfortable?"
I smirked, lacing my fingers with hers that rest on my stomach, "Very. Do you like me Lyssa? Is someone forcing you to date me?"
"Not even a little bit. Don't you know I'm only with you for your body?"
"That's what I thought. Maybe I should confess that I'm only with you for your abs."
She smirked at my response, "I had my suspicions. You're obsessed."
"Not my fault they're great abs."
Fingers ran through my hair as Alyssa leant down to kiss my forehead, "You know I love you right Y/n/n? I don't want you to ever doubt that because I don't show you affection in public."
"You know how I feel about PDA, I don't like it, I never have. I have never once doubted your love for me Alyssa and I hope you haven't doubted mine. I love you."
"Good. I have never doubted your love either."
---
Anger and worry coursed through me when I saw Alyssa go down. It was always my worst fear during games, but it didn't really happen during practice. I know we got competitive, there was no reason for it to happen during practice though. I ran up, kneeling beside her, hand grabbing hers, "Are you okay Lys?"
"This ones going to hurt," Alyssa winced, but quickly grabbed my arm when I turned to Rose who had taken her out. "Hey, it's not her fault, it was an accident. Go see if she's okay and be nice."
I took a breath to calm myself down before walking up to Rose. Rose started fidgeting nervously as I walked up to her, "Hey, are you okay Rose?"
"Y-yeah. S-sorry"
I hugged her, feeling her relax against me. Hugs weren't necessarily my favourite thing except when it was with Alyssa, but I knew Rose liked them and I didn't want her to feel bad. It wasn't actually her fault. "Rosie, it was an accident. Don't beat yourself up because of it, but maybe don't make a habit of taking out out keeper during practice, we kinda need her."
---
"You guys coming to dinner?"
"Uh yeah, just going to drop our stuff off."
Once we were in our room, Alyssa sat on the edge of the bed as I knelt behind her, arms wrapping around her shoulders loosely. She lent back against me with a sigh, kissing my hand. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Think my shoulder might bruise, but I'm okay hun. Don't worry so much."
I lift her shirt over her head, lips meeting the spot that was already starting to bruise then moving around to her neck, cheek and lips, "You know I can't help worrying about you, even if it's a bit ridiculous."
Alyssa turned around, pushing me back and hovering over me, "Well, I'm the same so I can't really say anything. I love you Y/n/n."
I looped my arm around the back of her neck, pulling her down so I could peck her lips, "I love you Lys, but you need to get off cause we need to go down for dinner."
She rolled off me with one final kiss before standing up, "Fine."
"Shirt."
---
My eyes fluttered open to the feeling of lips being pressed to every part of my face and neck. I giggled, arms wrapping around her neck to bring her lips to mine. You wouldn't guess it, but Alyssa always kissed me softly, as if I was something precious. It honestly drove me crazy.
Alyssa pulled away slowly, grin plastered across her face, "Happy anniversary love."
My grin matched her, as I pecked her lips, "Happy anniversary Lys. I love you."
We spent a little longer in bed than usual, lazy kisses and cuddles shared before reluctantly dragging our selves out of bed and into the shower. Unfortunately, we had training today so we couldn't give in to the clear desires we both had, instead rushing through the shower and downstairs before there was anymore temptation and we ended up late.
Alyssa and I were discussing dinner plans when we walked into the meal room. We never went out on our anniversary, always staying in and just being with each other in the comfort of our own home. This year was different because we were in a hotel, but we would make do. Just as we sat down, Kelley sat across from us, our conversation ending as we waited for her to say something. "Do you guys even like each other? I mean you guys just seem so indifferent around each other, sure you talk and even joke around sometimes, but it's no different then if you were talking to team mates, we've never heard you talk about anything remotely relationship like."
My arm rest on the back of Alyssa's chair, playing with the baby hairs at the base of her neck. That wasn't a usual occurrence, but it was our anniversary. I was feeling a mix of different, slightly overwhelming emotions from love to happiness, and nerves from the fact I was proposing tonight. I just wanted to be close to her right now and the usual leg against mine wasn't enough. Alyssa must have sensed it because her hand rest on my thigh under the table, squeezing gently as I spoke, "Of course we do. We were literally just talking about our plans tonight for our anniversary."
"That was talk about your anniversary? It sounded like you were talking about grocery shopping."
"We were, but in relation to our anniversary."
"So what are you going to do for your anniversary?"
"Chill out in our hotel room. We never do anything big."
"Yeah okay. That tracks with the appearance of your relationship."
Alyssa had gone back to our room after training while I had gone to the store to pick up a few snacks to sneak in and some flowers for her. She always got me flowers so I wanted to return the favour for once. We were planning on ordering in and watching movies before likely ending the night doing inappropriate cuddling.  It was our favourite way to spend our anniversaries. Thankfully, we had an off day tomorrow so we could get away with it.
After placing the bag down on the table, I called out for Alyssa, getting a response from the bathroom almost instantly. My arms wrapped around Alyssa when she emerged from the bathroom, leaving a lingering kiss against her lips. Her eyes dropped down to the bouquet in my hand, a small smile appearing. "This isn't your actual gift, but you always get me flowers so I thought it was my turn. Your gift is running late."
"They're beautiful, thank you Y/n/n. You know you didn't have to get me anything."
"I know, but you also always get me something despite me saying the same thing, therefore shut up."
Alyssa laughed, pushing me away gently and taking the flowers, "You speak to me so romantically my love."
I pulled her back into me, peppering her face with kisses, "I love you."
"I love you. I ordered dinner already, it should be here soon. Also here," Alyssa handed out a small wrapped box. Inside was a gold chain with a small keepers glove attached. It was something I had mentioned wanting, a way to have her close when she wasn't there physically.
"You remembered. I love it Lys."
"Of course I did."
After a short make out session and dinner, we cuddled up in bed to watch a movie. Maybe 15 minutes had passed before I started getting restless. My focus dropped from the movie, instead playing with Alyssa's fingers. I never was the best at staying still. My mind soon drifted to the pool downstairs, it had been a while since I got to go and the urge was suddenly there.
When I shifted position once again, Alyssa chuckled and paused the movie, "I've lost you haven't I?"
I grinned up at her, kissing her softly. Alyssa always knew me so well. "Do you want to go swimming? It's late so no one will be around."
Alyssa knew I loved swimming so she agreed pretty easily, after some teasing of course. We made our way down to the pool, both wearing tank tops and shorts. No one was around so it didn't matter what we wore. I jumped straight in, swimming around a bit while Alyssa sat on the edge of the pool. After a few minutes, I swam up between Alyssa's legs resting my arms on them as I lent up connecting our lips in a lingering kiss.
"Come in."
"It's cold."
"Love, it's a heated pool."
"Okay fine, I just enjoy watching you swim around."
"But, if you come in then we can cuddle, kiss," My hand ran up the inside of her thigh, "Touch."
Alyssa instantly slid into the pool, arm wrapping around me and pulling me against her. "You're a tease."
My hands slipped under her tank top, nails scratching down her back and over her stomach, "It's only teasing if I leave it at that. Just wait until we get ba-"
A loud voice interrupted the moment, annoyance crossing Alyssa's face as she stepped back slightly, but didn't let me go. "Oh my god! They really are together."
I groaned, turning to glare at Emily and Kelley, "Fuck off and stop ruining our anniversary."
Once they were out of sight again, I pulled myself out of the pool, Alyssa rest on my legs as I had done earlier. "What are you doing?"
I pulled the towel that I had hidden the little black box in closer. Inside was a a plain gold band with a round cut diamond. Alyssa didn't often wear jewelry and she liked simple things so I knew she would love it. "I have something for you."
"You waited until we were at the pool to give it to me?"
"Well it wasn't the original plan, but I got nervous." My fingers laced with hers, Alyssa looking up at me curiously. "Never in my life did I think I would fall for someone as hard or fast as I did with you. From the boring, quiet days at home spent doing housework or errands to the movie nights and dinner dates, I love living life with you. I love the adventures we've had, I love working with you, fuck, I just love being with you Alyssa. I look forward to every new day because I get to do it with you. With you by my side, anything is possible. This is a shit speech, but I'm nervous and you love me anyway."
Alyssa chuckled, tears already forming in her eyes before I revealed the little box. "I love you Alyssa, I love you so much more than I thought possible. I want to live life with you forever. With that being said, Alyssa Naeher will you marry me?"
Arms wrapped around my waist tightly, lips connecting with mine, in a soft, emotional kiss, "Yes, yes I will marry you Y/n."
I slipped the ring on her finger, connecting our lips again. Alyssa pulled away too soon for my liking, reaching for her own towel, pulling out a black box similar to the one I had moments before. Alyssa opened it, revealing a plain rose gold band with three small gems set into it. I soon realised it was both our birth stones and one I wasn't quite sure of. "You beat me to it, but will you marry me Y/n?"
"I suppose I can't say no seeing as I just gave you a ring."
Alyssa laughed, sliding the ring onto my finger before kissing me again. "These are our birthstones, what's this one?"
"When we first started dating."
"I love it, I love you."
A crash from behind us instantly caught our attention. About half the team stood there, sheepish smiles in place and a phone pointed in our direction. Seeing as they were caught, everyone started talking over each other, congratulations being thrown our way. I rolled my eyes, turning back to Alyssa. "Let's get out of here before they surround us. We have celebrating to do."

# tsukishima kei - unbothered
Tumblr media
a/n = ahhh, new account new beginnings (honestly, i haven't written anything in so long idk if it's good at all T-T)
summary = tsukishima accidentally reveals your relationship in front of the karasuno boys.
warnings = yamamoto hitting on you, nothing else i guess?
Tumblr media
tsukishima tried to stay composed, but it was so hard.
back at the very beginning of your relationship, which was going strong for the last two months, both of you had agreed upon keeping it a secret from the rest of the team. the reason was simple. tsukishima valued his privacy, and that meant the less his teammates know, the better. if they ever found out he's dating someone, they probably wouldn't let him live; tanaka and nishinoya definitely being the first ones to do so.
especially, if they found out his dating their manager.
you being karasuno's manager definitely came with its perks; the two of you could spend a lot of time without it seeming suspicious, you could watch his games from up close and, aside from all that, you've made some great friends along the way. but there were also some downsides. and one of those was surely being hit on by other volleyball teams.
the nekoma volleyball team arrived around an hour earlier than it was expected for their sparring game. and since that very moment tsukishima had to deal with a certain second year ace shamelessly hitting on his girlfriend.
"she seems quite uncomfortable right now." yamaguchi pointed out, appearing next to tsukishima out of nowhere. the blonde boy was very aware of it, and it drove him crazy. he tried to seem unbothered though, only murmuring a quick 'yeah' as an answer.
you could feel tsukishima's stare burning into yamamoto's back as he tried flirting with you, walking after you around the whole practice room while you tried to do your patch of manager duties. you tried to brush him off, but the guy seemed not to see the signs. from one point of view, it was quite funny; but it wasn't as funny when you realized that meant he would probably hit on you for nekoma's whole stay here. and to your disappointment, the time seemed to fly painfully slow.
tsukishima observed the two of you as you finished preparing water bottles for the team, which meant you've successfully checked off all of the things from your manager to-do list. as you tried walking away from yamamoto, heading to the exit to get some fresh air, the bleached blonde cornered you, making you stuck between him and the wall, his face too close to yours for your liking. it didn't help that no one in the whole gym seemed to notice that something was happening.
no one except tsukishima, of course.
the blonde boy rushed over to you two without a second thought, grabbing yamamoto's arm roughly as he dragged the boy away, an almost angry look painted on his face.
"i would suggest you don't flirt with my girlfriend. ever again." he said, annoyance clear in his voice as he glared at the older boy, making sure to emphasize those two important words.
my girlfriend.
he left the boy standing with a shocked look on her face as he turned to face you, his expression immediately changing to a softer, gentle one.
"you okay, idiot?" he asked, a smile appearing on his face for just a mere second, but still long enough for you to catch it. you gave him a small nod in response.
"i didn't think you'd react at all." you said, tilting your head as you looked at him, a smile appearing on your face. "especially like that. you know all the boys are staring at us right now, right?"
oh. oh.
tsukishima forgot about that. he was too focused on you to remember that they weren't alone.
the entirety of karasuno's volleyball team was here, staring at him with utter shock on their faces from the moment he addressed you as his girlfriend. everything he's been hiding so well for the past two months was not a secret anymore. he did the only thing he could think of at the moment; grab your hand and quickly head out of the gym, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink, much to his annoyance.
once the two of you stood in front of the building, tsukishima tried to seem unbothered by the fact he just unveiled your relationship in the stupidest way possible, but it was clear to you that he was fazed by the whole situation from the tiny details on his face, that were different to his usual expression.
"don't worry about that, tsukki" you said, patting him lightly on the shoulder. "i'm sure they won't be too dramati-"
"I WON THE BET! PAY ME UP, ASAHI!"
the two of you turned your head towards the opened door, the screaming from the inside catching you mid sentence. you immediately recognized it to be tanaka; who was now jumping around his older teammate in excitement.
"or maybe they will be dramatic." you said, a giggle escaping your mouth at the image in front of you. tsukishima let out a sigh, clearly annoyed with the behavior he just witnessed.
"they're acting like five year olds. tsk." he stated, rolling his eyes as nishinoya and hinata joined tanaka on nagging their ace. "i can't believe those idiots are my teammates."
"well, at least now we don't have to be pretending in front of them." you said, a smile on your face as you turned to look at tsukishima again. "give them two weeks, and they'll put their excitement on something else."
tsukishima knew you were right, buy it still wasn't as comforting as he thought it would be.
"this will be the worst two weeks of my life."

pairing : carmen berzatto x fem!reader
summary : carm is fucking flabbergasted to hear you've never had a proper valentine's day, let alone a special meal. so he has to rectify it as soon as possible.
word count : 2.28k
tags: the bear, jeremy allen white, fluff, valentine's day, carmen berzatto, carmy berzatto, established relationship, awkward carm <3, BEST MAN EVER.
a/n: got this idea from @aliaugustaa, i thought it was so cute so i just had to do it :3 who needs an irl valentines when u have ur little chef man, making sure u know u deserve the best amiright.
Tumblr media
it all started when carmen had overheard you, syd and tina talking. he'd been in his office, trying to get some work done with the door slightly ajar, considering the air conditioning in the room was shit, when the three of you had struck up a conversation. he hadn't paid much attention to it. he occasionally tuned into the sound of your voice, of course, but the details of the words you were saying remained mostly lost on him.
until he heard the mention of ‘valentine's day’ come from tina. fuck. if he had to be honest, it'd been years since he'd last.. celebrated? valentine's day? before you, he didn't actually have any reason to do anything for it. carmen avoided the day like the plague, actually, with the bare minimum being done in terms of heart themed menu times. but even he knew that you would've been expecting a valentine's gift from him, right? you two had been dating for what, nearly a year now, so he had to think of something.
that started his panic in terms of what he was going to get you. he had no fucking clue. but what took him out even more was your words, as you leant against the counter with your notepad: “valentine's day is so overrated,” okay.. “i haven't had a valentine since i was like, fifteen, and i'm perfectly fine.”
perfectly fine.
his blue eyes darted quickly to the calendar on his desk, fixing onto ‘february 14th’ almost instantly. he can't bite back a smile at the heart you'd drawn around the date, with ‘v-day’ scrawled messily on it. but all the cuteness aside, he had.. one week. he didn't need to do anything amazing for you, no, considering you did think the holiday was overrated, however he felt there was an unsworn duty for him to prove to you that you were special, and deserved the best.
he sorted the week that he had left into phases. there were four phases, all of them intricately, messily, planned to ensure you'd have a great day. and he'd managed to do all of it right under your nose.
of the four phases, first came the easiest one. slowly easing you into the idea of valentine's day. you weren't stupid, no, you were quiet observant and god knows you would've picked up on any new behaviours from your boyfriend, so he had to try to integrate the day of love into work first.
convincing everyone to mention valentine's day, not obsessively, but repetitively to try get it into your routine wasn't difficult. it was a restaurant, for god's sake, of course they'd have some sort of valentine's menu, right?
so he got marcus to start making some particularly love themed desserts — “uh, sure. don't mind it.” you hadn't seemed to pay much attention to the ginormous order of cupid stickers out back, which worked heavily in his favour.
“yo, cousin, don't worry. she'll be walkin’ ‘round with the whole ass arrow by the time i'm done,” — richie was just as eager to get you in a lovey-dovey mood, with his passing comments about how eva was a total bachelorette and that all the kids in her class were gonna be throwing presents onto her desk.
there was no way to tell whether that was true or not. no one really asked.
“hey, cool, i'm feeling it,” — tina was also happy to help, being overly lovey with you around the restaurant. it was quite unlike her, but still, you didn't mind the affection. little hugs, forehead kisses from dear aunt tina weren't that bad.
“she's gonna realise that we're going overboard,” — syd was the most reluctant. she'd have much rather told you about what they were doing, as opposed to keeping it a secret. however carm was good at convincing her, and it was for a good cause too. so, she let it slide, pushing the valentine's agenda with little doodles of cupids or hearts on her menu designs. you liked them.
so that was phase one done. pretty simple, if carmy says so himself. and you didn't mention anything about it. perfect. he felt a little weird keeping something from you, but, of course, it was a good cause, right?
with phase one completed, he had to move onto phase two. this one was probably his second favourite of all of them. bringing valentine's into the house. valentine's day was all about love. he loves you, of course. it was the reason why he was doing all of this in the first place. so he thought the best way to do this phase was to get you in the mood.
you were very clearly confused by the romcom that was playing on the tv screen when he ushered you into the living room, but you didn't ask many questions considering how tired you were. “carm,” you began, brow furrowing, before you shrugged, moving over to settle on the couch. tilting your head over to the direction of the kitchen, your eyes found carmy bringing over the chinese takeout. it'd been a while since you two had indulged in it, but he knew full well it was your favourite. “you're the best,” his smug little smile told you a lot, but not about his little scheme and its phases.
“i know, babe,” he hums, bringing over the tray and settling it onto the coffee table. carmen shuffled over, settling onto the couch beside you, gently lifting your box onto your lap before he took his own. it wasn't unlike him to take care of you like this, but there was something more tender in how he was helping you. sweet, yes, but it was making you a tad bit suspicious. “you okay?” he asked softly, voice gentle and low, as a small little smile played on his lips.
“mhm,” you nodded, just snuggling beside him with the takeout box in your grasp. you two usually didn't watch romcoms, usually finding a good drama or sitcom however you didn't mind it. this one in particular was quite good.
and besides, carmen having his arm slung around your waist as you two ate was a perfect feeling. so despite your suspicions, you let him have this moment without asking him.
that was phase two done. not too shabby, really. richie and, actually, literally everyone in the bear was a tad bit sick of carmen's rambling about how amazing you were. they literally all knew it, since you were their colleague, but god, could this man talk.
the third phase was one that carmy realised perhaps should've come earlier. it was just getting you things that you liked, without you realising. which was harder than it sounded, considering carmen was shit at keeping things from you, and you were usually the one who looked at orders to the apartment. so he needed the help of his sister, natalie. she was so eager to help that it was a little overwhelming. “so what do they like anyway?” natalie asked as she pushed the cart beside carmen, eyes flickering over to his in curiosity. “bear?”
he was uh, stressing. he loved you so much, and—well, “god, sugar, i love her—” he ran a hand through his curls, eyes widening as soon as he saw the giant valentine's day display in the store. a quiet groan slipped past his lips and he bit his knuckles for a moment, glancing desperately over at his sister. “peach deserves the fuckin’ world, y'know? just wan’ make it special for her,” the pity, and adoration, in natalie's gaze softened her eyes immediately and she gave him a quick pat on the back.
“right,” it was her personal mission now to ensure that you and her brother had a perfect day on valentine's. she was sure of it. a small little grin played on her lips as she ushered him over to the display, and she leant against the cart. “okay, what would she like? something lovey? sentimental?”
“don't fuckin’ know,” carmen muttered under his breath, rubbing his temple as he looked over the many valentine's themed things available. holy shit, this was harder than he thought. he knew you so well and yet, what you'd like evaded him.
“okay, well,” natalie picks up a random white teddy bear, brows raising in question as she offers it to her brother. he grabs at it, squeezes it perhaps a little too hard out of frustration but slowly relaxes his tight grip on it. “okay, that one's going in.”
the shopping trip continued like this, with natalie suggesting things that she thought you might like, with carmy giving his wordless responses. it was kind of therapeutic for nat, to be fair. and carmen was getting the stuff he needed for you. he'd have to thank natalie after, considering soon after he was done with phase three, he was into the final phase. the actual valentine's gift.
this was probably his favourite part. of course, carmen was a chef by nature. so he knew a valentine's dinner was in order. he was sort of sick of hearing anything related to the saint, however he could relax with this part. he'd made sure that syd would keep you out of the apartment for at least three hours. having even gone to the lengths of giving money for you guys to spend, he was clearly working hard. he knew your palette, so well in fact, that he didn't even think twice about what he was preparing.
from what you loved to eat, to what you despised, carmen knew it all. and he wanted to spoil you in terms of what he made, so he also gave sydney strict instructions that the two of you weren't allowed to get any food. hey, he wanted you to have enough room to eat.
he'd planned everything immaculately, of course, but when he heard you and syd at the door, he almost panicked. the table was laid out perfectly, all of your favourite foods available. a flush filled his cheeks at the thoughts of richie's previous words: “shit, cousin’, you a fuckin’ simp,” rang through his head and he scratched the back of his neck nervously, sitting at the table.
“thanks, syd,” your voice called from down the hall at the door, your smile evident in your voice. it made the butterflies in his stomach flutter, and he shifted where he sat. “m'back, carm!” you were making your way down the hall now, nearing the living room where you assumed he'd be. he was not. “carm—?”
your brow furrowed, since he'd have mentioned he'd be out if he was going to be. “carm,” you hummed as you wandered into the dining room area, not looking into the room until you did, and your lips parted into an expression of shock. “holy shit.”
you're surprised you didn't burst into literal tears seeing carmen sat at the table, wide blue eyes lifting to yours from the table cloth. his cheeks were rosey, a sheepish expression adorning his lips. “fuck, this is dumb,” he got up, scratching the back of his neck once more, “i know you don't—oh, shit, peach—”
his eyes widened as you barelled into him, wrapping your arms around his frame as his hands slid over your lower back. biting his bottom lip, he lifted a hand to your face, just to see your expression. “oh my god, carm,” tears threatened to spill from your eyes, bottom lip trembling. carmen's expression only softener, and grew a tad bit guilty.
“oh, no, baby, don't cry,” his thumb stroked over your jaw, brow furrowing. carmen soon pressed a peck to your forehead, his hand cupping your lower back and bringing you into his body. “can't eat ‘n’ cry at the same time,” he soothed with a soft chuckle whilst he cradled the back of your head.
“so this is what you were doin’?” your mumbly words come all soft, watery, glossy eyes lifting up to his as you frown. you may be about to cry, sure, but it's for a good reason. “all this time? oh my god, is it because of what i said to syd and tina?”
a sheepish nod followed, his hands brushing away your tears gently. he smiled, nuzzling your nose with his own as he brushed his lips with yours, squeezing you tight against his chest. “uh-huh,” he muttered, “didn't notice earlier?”
“nuh-uh,” god, you felt kinda dumb for not realising. but also glad you didn't, since you wouldn't be as overjoyed as you are right now. you squeeze tight around his waist once more before you drag him back into sitting down. hey, you were hungry considering his little scheme. “god, carm,” you bite your bottom lip, looking over all the food. not to mention the valentine's themes decorations.
“so everyone was in on it?” you lean against the table, watching as carmen dished out your plate for you, his blue eyes lingering on the food before they lifted to yours when he heard your question. he gives a little nod, pushing your plate towards you. then, he pours you a glass of wine, all smiles. “god, that's why—oh my god!”
giddy, absolutely giddy, would describe you right now. over the fucking moon.
“and when you and nat went out? you guys never go out, holy shit,” you grabbed your fork, leaning against the table with a little smile. that smile soon became the biggest grin he'd ever seen. “babe, this is too much,” you frowned, gaze all fond.
“wait till you see the gifts,” he mumbled around a spoonful of pasta, avoiding your gaze and focusing on his plate.
“carmen!”

Do Her Right
Pair: Jason x reader/platonic!Damian x reader
Word Count: 608
Summary: Damian needs to have a talk with Jason about his newly founded-relationship
A/N: I loved writing this one! Who doesn’t like protective Damian
---
You've been a part of the Bat Family since Dick was adopted by Bruce all those years ago. You met Dick at school and instantly became friends. You visited the manor almost every day.
As your friendship with Dick deepened, you discovered the family secret and promised never to tell a soul, a promise you've kept to this day.
Having known Dick from the beginning, you witnessed the family grow over the years. Everyone anticipated the day you and Dick would confess your love for each other and start dating, but that day never came. You only saw Dick as your best friend, and he saw you the same way.
However, this didn't bother anyone in the family much, especially Damian. Despite his outward demeanor, Damian harbored deep affection for you. He cherished the time you spent together, whether playing video games, watching movies, baking (a favorite pastime of Damian's), or simply hanging out.
Things took a turn when Jason began joining in on these activities. Initially, Damian didn't mind, as long as it didn't interfere with your "sister time."
But Damian's patience wore thin as he noticed you and Jason spending more time alone together. A few weeks later, it was revealed that you two were dating. While everyone else was happy for you, Damian couldn't hide his disappointment. He'd pout whenever he saw you with Jason, drawing your attention back to him with a forced smile.
Damian couldn't bear being sidelined in favor of Jason. He needed to address the situation immediately.
One evening, you were cuddling with Jason on the couch when Damian entered the room.
"Todd, I need to speak with you in my room, now," Damian said, his expression serious and arms crossed. You glanced at Jason, shrugged, and told him to go ahead. Jason sighed and followed Damian to his room.
"Please, have a seat," Damian gestured toward his bed.
"What's up, little devil? I was enjoying cuddling with my girlfriend," Jason said, clearly annoyed.
"That's precisely why we're here—to talk about your girlfriend," Damian replied, pacing the room. Jason raised an eyebrow, curious about Damian's intentions.
"Your girlfriend means a lot to me. Every time she's here, we bond over fun activities. She treats me like a little brother, and I feel loved. No one has ever done that for me. But things changed when you two started dating, and I haven't been able to spend as much time with her. I understand she's happy with you, surprisingly, but I need to set some ground rules. First rule: If you ever hurt her, I'll come after you with everything I've got, even where the Lazarus Pit can't bring you back. Understood?" Damian explained.
Jason nodded, smiling. He refrained from making any jokes, respecting Damian's genuine concern for you.
"Good. Now, the next rule is that I need to have alone time with her twice a week, without you. That's our time, and you can't be a part of it," Damian declared.
"The last rule is that you can't tell her any of this. Do we have a deal?" Damian extended his hand.
Jason shook Damian's hand firmly. "Deal."
"Do her right, Jason. She deserves the best," Damian said softly.
"I will, little devil. She deserves everything," Jason replied with a smirk.
"Now, let's head back downstairs before she gets suspicious," Damian said, leading the way. Damian settled on the couch beside you, snuggling into your left side. Jason followed suit, cuddling into your right side.
"Ah, my favorite boys," you said, kissing each of them on the forehead. Damian and Jason looked up at you, smiling.

Warnings: NSFT, MDNI, Cheating (remember cheating isn't cool guys <3), Drinking, Size kink, P in V, Nipple Play
Mentions: Lingerie, Failing marriage
An: Hey babes <3 welcome to the Valentine's collection. I'll be posting a series of spicy and romantic fics this week. I intend to make this a tradition of doing different characters each year.
----
You couldn't believe this! It was Valentine's day and your husband hasn't acknowledged it. He kissed you this morning before he left for work and that was it.
There's no way he forgot because you said it just yesterday, even agreed on plans. But, here it is, almost 7pm and he was still at work according to his text. You couldn't help but sigh as you sat alone in the apartment.
You can't say you didn't see this coming, your relationship has been a little rough. Mostly due to his absence but that's besides the point.
You brush down your carefully picked outfit you'd put on. Feels like it's going to waste now. You get up and step outside of your apartment, maybe you would just go do something on your own. Just for the sake of getting fresh air is what you tell yourself.
Then a stroke of luck, your apartment neighbor walks back from checking his mail. Toji and you were friendly. He was a single man and nice enough, plus you appreciated his honesty sometimes. He also likes the way you make cookies and jello shots, neither your husband appreciated.
"That color looks good on you" Toji chimes in as he notices you, that cocky smirk on his lips. You can't help but smile a little "Well, thanks Toji. I'm glad someone can appreciate it." You scoff, yeah, maybe you were a little bitter.
"Oh? Is he not home yet?" He asks, in reference to your husband "Oh it's worse! He's not here and he's barely acknowledged me all day. Would it kill him to at least send flowers or something?" You pout as you brush a hand over your hair.
Toji scoffed "What a piece of work" he smirks as he looks at you "Why don't you come in for a drink? I'd hate to let such a pretty thing waste away all night on a man who can't appreciate it" he suggested, and you were more than happy to oblige.
Toji let you in, his apartment was cleaner than you thought. He fixed you both a shot while giving you something to chase it with.
You sigh as you down the shot and sip on your chaser to soothe the burn.
Toji downs his shot with ease as he looks over at you "Oh come on, princess. Don't be down...you get to spend the evening with me" he smirks and you can't help but chuckle at how cocky he is. Although, he has every right to be.
Toji is huge, he's tall with muscles for days. He has a dominating aura, he was overwhelming. You liked it, maybe a little more than you should for someone who's married.
You haven't bothered to check your phone. Toji had you laughing, drinking, and forgetting about the shitty day you were having. His hand on your thigh as he rubbed it with his thumb. The simple action had you feeling a pulse in your panties.
"You know, I don't know why you don't have a date tonight" you chuckle "Oh? You think I'm that charming?" He teases "If not charming, then at least a girl would come home to get some action" you add softly.
Toji can't help but let out a deep chuckle "That's fair, princess. But I can't see why your loser husband would miss out on you".
"Why? Would you do different?" You smile as you lean in a bit closer to him. It was probably the alcohol making you this confident.
Toji smirked as he moved his hand to wrap around your waist. "Of course I would, princess. I wouldn't miss the chance to spend time with you...to kiss those pretty lips of yours...to push those pretty lacy panties aside" he says in a low tone, one that has you pressing your thighs together.
"Yeah?..." You respond breathlessly.
"I'm not gonna touch you, princess. I don't want you to hate me" he chuckles "I could never" you lean in close. "Are you drunk?" He asks "No, I promise" you say sternly.
Toji carefully cups your cheek with his strong and large hands. "Please, Toji..." You beg softly, looking up at him.
Toji groans "You're gonna get me in so much trouble, princess".
Toji leans in and kisses you gently, you don't hesitate to kiss him back. He moves his hands to your waist, his big hands practically covering your hips. You tangle your hands into his hair as you swipe your tongue along his bottom lip. Toji doesn't hesitate to let your tongue inside, he tastes the alcohol on your tongue and it's addicting.
He picks you up and pulls you into his lap, trying not to break the kiss. He sets you down, right against his cock. You moan into his mouth as you feel his cock press against you through your clothes.
Toji pulls away from the kiss, saliva connecting your lips.
"You're so pretty..." he rasps as his hands slide up under your shirt. You arch into his chest at the feeling of his hands on your skin.
"Thank you, Toji" you speak softly as you feel his hands undo your bra. "Of course, princess." He tossed your bra to the side as his hands cup your breasts, fondling them, and teasing your nipples.
"Mm- Toji~" you moan as he fondles you. "You've got such nice tits, princess. Your nipples get hard so easy...or is that because it's just me?" He teased with a small chuckle.
"Yeah, it feels so good" you moan as you begin to grind your hips into his hard cock. Between the bit of alcohol and lustful haze, you weren't really sure your words made any sense. You just know you wanted Toji to keep touching you.
Toji didn't waste much time, the next moments almost felt like a blur to you. His hands are prying off your clothing as you do the same to him. He lets out unrestrained moans and groans as he stuffs you full of his cock.
"Tojiii~ So...fuckin big" you moan as you're scratching into his back. He grunts in response "You feel so good, princess. You're man is really missing out..." He chuckles breathlessly "I'm so glad that the pretty lingerie you bought didn't go to waste~" he rasps, not missing the lacy set you were wearing when he tugged off your clothes.
It doesn't take long before Toji has you toppling over the edge. His hands leaving marks on your hips as he let you cum all over his cock. Sinful moans and lewd noises filling the room.
As much as he wanted to fill you up, leave his cum dripping out of you when you left to go back to your husband, he settled for pulling out and cumming on your stomach. You whine, you almost sounded disappointed.
Toji chuckled as he leaned in and kissed you "What is it, princess?". You kiss him back but slowly pull away as you look up at him. "You could have finished inside...I'm on the pill" you say softly "Well, I didn't know you wanted to prove such a point to your shitty husband" he chuckled.
You flipped yourself over on the couch, your tits pressing into the sofa with your ass up and soaked pussy on display. "You wanna do it again?" You ask sweetly, looking back at Toji. Toji groaned as he felt his cock immediately get hard again. "You're such a dirty little princess, aren't you?" He smirked.
His hand came up and rubbed along your folds before lightly slapping your pussy. You let out a whiny moan in response.
Toji doesn't hesitate to stuff you full of him again. His cock always hits the deepest and most sensitive parts of you, the ones that have you pulsing around his cock within minutes.
He holds your hands behind your back, his figure easily towering over you. It only takes one of his hands to keep both of yours pinned behind you. You can't help but moan out for him into the apartment, absolutely sure someone must hear this.
"You're so pretty like this...bent over, taking my cock, drooling into the cushions. Nobody has ever fucked you this good, hm?" He teased as he lightly slapped your ass, earning him another needy moan.
"No no, nobody has ever fucked me so good~" you stutter out as you press your hips back into Toji when he slaps your ass.
"Awe, poor thing. Don't worry, you can always come over when you need it" he says lowly, his voice having you tightening around his cock.
"Toji- I'm close" you whine out as you grind back into him. Toji moves his hands so they're both firmly holding your hips. He starts thrusting more roughly into you, pounding against your poor cervix.
The action leaving you a moaning and whiny mess beneath him as you babbled his name into the cushions. Then you practically screamed as you came- no, squirted on his cock. Toji relished the sight of you as he thrust into you a few more times before pressing right against your sweet spot and cumming inside you.
After a few beats, Toji slowly pulls out of you. He flips you over, dragging you into his chest as both of you try to catch your breath.
"Do you wanna take a shower?" He asks softly as he reaches over and cups your cheek, his thumb brushing over your cheekbone. "The night is still kind of young, we could get some shitty takeout and have a few more drinks..." He rasps and you can't help but blush a little. "I'd like that..." You smile in return...
The following morning, you return to your apartment with little guilt or shame, considering the fact your husband didn't text you all night.
Maybe you should be looking into divorce papers, Toji seemed like he never wanted you to leave. Maybe he'd welcome you into moving in?

Dean Winchester x Female Reader
Summary: Late night research turns into an early morning cuddle session.
TW: Fluff, pining, flirting.
Tumblr media
Dean Winchester sat at the table in the bunker surrounded by piles of books. With a glance at the clock in the corner of his laptop, he realized that Sam had gone to bed almost an hour ago. Dean was exhausted, but hated the idea of leaving Y/N alone to do research by herself.
The case they were working on involved children and those particular cases had always been a difficult for her. Y/N would stay up for days on end if it meant bringing a child back to their parent safely.
She was a ray of sunshine with a heart of gold, a genuine sweetheart who could do no wrong. Dean often found himself wondering why someone so good would choose to be involved with the Winchesters.
Y/N had quickly become the one stable point in the rocky relationship between Sam and Dean. She often played mediator between the brothers and Dean would never be able to thank her enough for that.
Dean's eyes wandered to the clock face of his watch. It was almost 4 o'clock in the morning and Dean sighed. He decided that it was time for the two hunters to drag themselves into bed for a few hours of sleep before hitting the books again.
He opened his mouth to voice his thoughts to Y/N before a soft snore from behind the large pile of books separating them stopped him.
Dean closed his book and set it on the edge of the table before standing from his seat. He rounded the table, a small smile coming to his face when he saw Y/N.
Her arms were crossed on top of her open book, head leaned against her bicep as she slept. Her eyelids fluttered as she dreamt, eyelashes brushing against the apples of her cheeks.
Dean squatted down beside her chair, hand rubbing over her back as he tried to wake her gently. She looked so peaceful, but she would be endlessly sore if he let her continue sleeping like that. Y/N made a soft noise before her bright eyes fluttered open, making Dean's smile widen slightly.
Y/N was absolutely gorgeous and Dean would never admit it, but he had always wondered what they could be together.
Dean knew that he didn't exactly have the best track record with dating and relationships. Hell, she probably thought of him as a friend and would never see him as anything more. Dean had decided a long time ago was better to preserve the relationship as it was than to push for more and be left with nothing.
"Sweetheart, you're drooling on a book that's almost a thousand years old. Let's get you into bed before you do any damage, alright?" He questioned softly.
Y/N sat up in her seat, grimacing as her back cracked from being hunched over, "You alright?" Dean asked, she nodded.
"How long was I out?" Y/N asked softly.
"No clue, but we haven't talked in almost three hours," He said, hand resting on her knee.
She allowed Dean to lead her through the war room and down the hallway towards their bedrooms. Dean opened her door for her, watching her shuffle across the room before falling into her bed fully dressed.
Y/N huffed, "Did you find anything?" She asked, "Not yet, but we both need to get some sleep" Dean said.
Y/N nodded and Dean rose to his feet, "C'mon, time for bed," He said, she stood from her chair.
He shook his head with a smile, making his way over and taking off her shoes for her. She shuffled out of her cardigan, half-heartedly tossing it towards the end of the bed.
Dean grabbed her folded blanket that had been draped over the back of her chair. He spread out the fluffy material on top of her, making sure she was fully covered before turning to leave.
Her hand slipped out from under the blanket, fingers circling around his wrist, "Stay," She said softly.
Dean felt his cheeks flush, they had shared a bed on multiple occasions, but he hadn't expected her to ask.
He liked having her in the same space as he and Sammy when they traveled so he could better protect her in case something happened. But this was different, this was her space and not just a matter of circumstance.
Y/N stared up at him, "Please, stay," She repeated, he nodded.
"Yeah, I'll stay," Dean said.
She let go of his hand, pulling her arm back underneath her blanket. Dean shrugged off his flannel and kicked off his shoes, crawling into the bed beside her.
Y/N turned to face him, tossing the blanket over him before slipping one of her legs between his. Dean wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to himself. She rested her head down on his chest, snuggling closer to him.
Y/N tilted her head up suddenly, looking at him with wide eyes, "I'm sorry, I didn't even ask. Is this okay? I can back off if it makes you uncomfortable," She said softly.
"No, this is great," He assured, thumb rubbing back and forth across the small of her back.
She settled back in against him, resting her head down on his chest with a content sigh. They laid together in silence for a few minutes before she spoke again, "Your heart is beating really fast," Y/N stated.
"That's only because I have the most beautiful woman in the world using me as a pillow," Dean replied.

notes: let’s pretend for the sake of this fic that gold watch felix doesn’t exist… 😃

©️ hotteoki | do not repost
felix was your first love, your only love. when you first started dating, you both knew already that eventually, it was inevitable that you would break up. it was impossible for first relationships to ever last forever. despite that, you continued on the relationship, only praying that maybe, just maybe, there's a chance of it being permanent.
the relationship shockingly went on longer than all your classmates and parents predicted, 3 years of being with your soulmate, or so you were convinced. needless to say, you experienced your first ever heartbreak when felix broke the news to you about moving back to korea to jumpstart his idol life.
you were grateful that he, at least, was clearly upset about leaving you. that way you could remember your first relationship as mutually loving, that it wasn't one-sided.
you remembered sending him off at the airport, holding back tears, and keeping up your composure. seeing his shimmering eyes welling up had made you want to cry as well, but you had forced yourself to swallow the growing lump in your throat. that day had been well over 5 years ago, yet you still remembered it like it was yesterday.
of course, you had attempted long-distance with him, but school for you and training for him was too overwhelming, and eventually you lost contact, wondering whether pressing that call button of the other's number would change anything.
it hurt even more to see him all over the internet now. you were beyond proud of him, of course, he had always dreamt of being a singer, but it hurt knowing that felix had probably forgotten all about you. surely, by now, he would have gotten into tons more relationships, right? far more than you, anyway. it's not like you haven't gone on dates, it was just that none of them could ever compare the true love you felt for felix.
so when you travelled to korea during the winter holidays with your friends, you secretly prayed to somehow, if the stars had finally managed to align, you would cross paths with felix again. "maybe you'll bump into him on the street or something!" it was meant to be a joke, but deep down, you honestly did want that to happen.
after spending the entire day walking around the busy streets of seoul, you were exhausted. laying on one of the grand beds and waiting for the bathroom to be free, you noticed you were still feeling a bit hungry. jumping up and to the door, you announced to your friends of your leaving the hotel. yuna, the only one who wasn’t currently in the toilet doing her nightly routine, had offered to tag along, worried for your safety. "it's fine, it's right next to the hotel, they'll be hotel security watching."
she was unconvinced, but you had already ran off. (do not ever let your friends go out the dark alone, this is purely for the plot of the fic, i promise you will not meet a handsome korean man in the middle of the night. stay safe ladies <3) truthfully? you hoped you could somehow catch felix in the convenience store. you knew the chances were impossibly low, but you weren't going to leave korea with your head filled with 'what ifs?'
rummaging through the shelves, you weren't even sure what you wanted to buy. you had collected a few snacks for your friends, but you had cravings for almost everything in the cursed store, and you didn't have enough money to pay, even if you had ditched the others' food.
after putting down the cup noodles for the fifth time, you sighed deeply, knowing picking it up and down wouldn't make money magically appear in your pocket. just as you were about to walk away, a taller figure leaned over you, taking the exact cup noodle package you had been fiddling with for the past few minutes.
your first instinct was to push the person away. looking up to meet the stranger's eyes, still slightly stunned from the sudden intruding, your fear was quickly replaced with genuine surprise. “felix,” you winced at the harshness of your tone; you meant it as more of a greeting. “hey again.” you were convinced his voice was hand crafted by angels themselves.
without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around you, engulfing you in a warm hug. you hadn’t even realised you had returned it instinctively until he pulled away, causing your arms to fall to your side. “what are you doing here in korea? i thought you’d be back home?” home. you couldn’t resist the widening smile on your face. felix still considered australia his home.
“i came here as a getaway with my friends. work has been crazy overwhelming,” you rubbed your neck, fidgeting under his gaze. you couldn’t bear to meet his eyes; there was no way he still had feelings for you, you probably mistook the kindness in his eyes as adoration. or even love.
felix sighed, taking your items from your hold and placing them in his basket, beginning to walk down the aisle, “tell me about it. we’ve been preparing for our new song and i think the stress is getting to all of us. it’s actually why i came down here, to get away from the pressure, you know?” you trailed beside him, playing with your fingers subconsciously. not once did you consider how stressful an idol’s job could be, you had kind of expected it to be more carefree than a regular job, considering they didn’t exactly have a 9-5 schedule.
“how’s the idol life going? loving your fans?” you forced a smile, pushing the big question you so badly wanted to ask him down your throat. “yeah, of course. stays are the best, i wish i could meet them all and just, you know, say thank you. i wouldn’t have gotten anywhere without them.” you stopped in your step, “you know that’s not true, you’ve always been talented in music.”
felix laughed, blushing from the compliment, “thank you. but enough about me, how’s your life going?” you continued down the aisle in thought, him following along. you weren’t so sure telling your ex boyfriend whom you still had feelings for that you dumped so many guys because of him was such a good idea. you chose to settle for the safer route, “well, i got my dream job, and it’s going pretty well, which, thank the lord.”
he nodded in understanding, “yeah, i remember you saying how scared you were about getting a job you hated and having to live with that.” you had been so busy talking you hadn’t even realised felix had paid for your items as well. “oh, no, it’s okay, i’ll pay you back, wait,” you panicked, reaching for your wallet. “no, no, it’s fine, i insist,” he placed a hand on your wrist, guiding the both of you out the convenience store, “it’s honestly okay.”
he held out the smaller plastic bag to you, “there’s yours.” you received it, and couldn’t help noticing the significantly larger bag he clutched in his other hand. felix smiled sheepishly, “i promise i’m not crazy. it’s for the others.” “ah.” there was a silence before he smiled again, “do you want to come back to the building with me and meet the other guys?” panic began to rise in your chest again. although you knew felix when you were both 17, he could very well have completely changed now. you were also convinced going to an unknown building at 12 at midnight was a one way ticket to danger.
felix, seemingly sensing your unease, added, “you don’t have to if you don’t want to! please don’t feel obliged to.” you contemplated. on one hand, you finally reunited with felix, the person whom you’ve loved for years, hoping every day you could see him again; but on the other hand, not only would your friends be worried sick, but you were aware of the risks of going back with a not-so stranger at night.
finally deciding on a plan, you offered, “meet here tomorrow at 12 in the afternoon?” oh, the gleam in felix’s eyes made you want to succumb into his very being so bad. “i’ll see you then.”
“you’re kidding.” you were gathered around on one of the beds with your friends, telling them about your encounter with felix. “you proved me wrong so quickly,” millie tsked, throwing herself back onto the pillows. “i still can’t believe it. genuinely, what are the chances?” yuna crossed her arms, staring in wonder. “that’s not the point now, though, is it?” leah settled everyone down with that statement. she crossed her arms, turning to you, “the point is that you’re meeting up with an ex boyfriend, the only one who you’ve ever truly been in love with,” she paused, sighing at your disappointed look,
"i don’t mean that it’s a bad thing, darling, i know you love him, but we have to approach this realistically, right? the relationship ended because felix had to move back. even if you were to date him again, eventually we’re going back to australia,” leah tried reasoning gently, placing a hand on your knee. you remained silent. she was right. “that being said, you can still meet him, but it would be really dangerous for your feelings…” tara chimed in, trailing off. “i honestly think staying here with us is the safest path, but if you’re willing to take a risk,” leah shrugged. for felix? you’d take any and all risks for him.
of course you didn’t tell him of your dilemma. how could you? seeing the little hops in his every step brightened your day immediately. the girls had been reasonably disheartened that you couldn’t join them for their shopping, but you knew they had tried not to let it show by waiting with you at to the store until felix arrived.
“have you had lunch yet?” felix prodded, not wanting you to go about the day without the energy you needed. nodding, you allowed him to lead you down the road, towards the infamous jyp building. you had silently wished he would hold your hand like he always used to, but you also knew that any bit of hope should be crushed right then and there. this wasn’t the felix you dated years ago, this is another felix. an unfamiliar one, who has a new online persona, and even though he smells exactly like he used to, has the same smile, still as caring as before, this wasn’t your felix.
one step into the building and you already wanted to run away. this was a horrible idea. the sweet tone of felix greeting the staff practically turned you into a puddle, and you knew right then and there that you needed to leave immediately before an inevitable messy situation comes up.
just as you were about to protest about going back to your friends, you were interrupted by hyunjin and jeongin. you had recognised them plenty of times from social media. feeling obliged to stay now, you smiled awkwardly at their warm welcomings.
introducing yourself as well, you hadn't failed to notice their smiles falter at the mention of your name. you unwillingly began jumping to conclusions. did felix talk badly about you? did you do something just now to offend them? was it your outfit? did they know who you were?
you did fail to catch, however, was how felix's entire face flushed with red at the un-subtleness of his friends. they knew exactly just how in love with you he still was, he had never moved on, how could he? you were the love of his life, the one made just for him. no other girl he went on time-wasting dates with could ever compare to you.
felix was only slightly glad they pulled you away to their dance practice room to meet the other members, he needed time to recollect his thoughts, wait for his burning cheeks to cool down and return his speeding heartbeat to normal.
it was way too long before felix could pull you away for some alone time again. realistically, it was probably around 10 minutes or so, and it would've been longer had chan not caught felix's sulking eyes over his friends hogging the girl he had longed to reunite with for years. chan knew the reason why felix's relationships never lasted and why he was picky about going on dates.
felix's nervous mood throughout your lunch together in the now empty practice room was contagious, you now felt paranoid too. "are you okay?" you tried to ask casually, placing the leftover rubbish of your lunch down beside you. his eyes flew to meet yours, his jittery behaviour was unlike him. "yeah, no, i'm fine, i just..." he breathed in, swallowing with difficulty, "i haven't seen you in a long time." oh.
"it's..." he sighed, running a hand through his hair, leaning back against the mirrored wall, resting his other hand on his knees. "this year's been tough for me. i was in a really dark space and i wasn't sure what to do, you know? i would always think back to how you would be the one i'd run to whenever i needed someone to talk to, and how i could trust you with anything," he paused, looking for any indications of discomfort on your expression. your smile allowed him to visibly relax, his shoulders dropping.
"i have to admit that," he hesitated, before continuing reluctantly, "i was convinced that i would never fall in love again." another pause. "unless it's you i fall into," felix's voice grew quieter and quieter, as if he was uncertain whether he should go on or not. leaning over slightly and reaching for his hand, you squeezed it once, giving him reassurance. you were honestly surprised you weren't full on crying with joy. he still loved you.
felix seemed more sure of himself, but his words still failed him as they came out shakily, "i was... lost. i was lost within the darkness. nothing helped. i tried putting my emotions into singing, but i still felt that burning pain inside." your heart ached at his words. you felt guilty for doubting his feelings for you, all this time you thought he had long moved on.
"but then i found you." you finally saw it. your eyes connected with his and it was unmistakable. the love in his eyes was true. he stood up, and for a second you thought he was about to run away, but he tugged on your interlocked hands, indicating for you to follow.
now that you were standing parallel to him, felix held out something in his hand. how long had he been holding that for? he probably fished it out of his pocket while standing up. you took the item in your hands, before realising it was the necklace you gifted him the day he left. he kept it.
it was a simple, silver necklace with your initial and his chained together. you stared up at him, unsure of what exactly he wanted you to do with it. "i never wore it because of how much it reminded me of you, and it hurt to be reminded every day of how it's possible that i would never see you again."
you remained silent. you knew that once you clasped the chain around his neck, you're done for. you'd never be able to let him go. you were conflicted. this was your dream come true, reconciling with your first and only love; but on the other hand, you had your whole life in australia, everything you'd ever worked for was there.
but felix was here. he's right here, right in front of you.
wrapping your arms around him, you connected the clips of the necklace. your arms remained there, and you pressed your cheek against his chest, breathing in his scent. felix enveloped your figure in his hold, his head resting atop yours.
although your voice came out slightly muffled, what you said next brought the biggest grin on his face. "i'll never let you go again like i did before." you had a hell of a story to tell your friends.

your blind date is waiting for you...
Tumblr media
A suitor is awaiting for @zimzalabimmmmm who as their dream date wanted to visit an interactive. I hope you will spend lovely time together!
Tumblr media
gender neutral reader | ~900 words | modern AU
Tumblr media
The opening of the new science museum attracted a crowd far bigger than you expected. You thought you were ready, but the sight of the queue wrapped all around the building exceeded the most graphic of your worries. Well, it was pronounced the biggest event your city prepared for this year, the museum alone was under construction for the past few years and the media widely acclaimed it as the most modern one in the country, if not straight up one of the most modern in the whole world.
The atmosphere of excitement was thick and attracted thousands, now patiently waiting in the queue and waiting for the holy throughput to grace them with entrance.
Sabo hasn't lost even an ounce of his enthusiasm, not at the sight of the wild crowds, not through the three hours that took you two to finally enter the exhibition. From the very beginning he seemed to be even more pumped about the whole trip than you-and it was your idea in the first place. You haven't pegged him as someone who's interested in natural science, with his great passion for political science and phd in law studies in works, but at this point of your promisingly blooming relationship nothing about him can truly surprise you, not anymore. Through those few months since you ran into each other in a library, he showed you so many faces that you already forgot what was the first impression you got about him.
It's hard to maneuver in a crowd like this but Sabo, with the impact of his almost 190cm, finds a way to plough through it, to wherever you point. He's holding your hand-well, rather wrapping fingers around your wrist-and playing the foreguard against the mass of people relentlessly pushing on the two of you. His smile and excited gleam in his eyes don't fade even for a second. In that matter, he's like the children frolicking around and exploring the possibilities of interactive exhibition to their fullest, no matter the inconveniences and despite their parents' exhaustion.
With your golden retriever date by your side, you're understanding the patient pain of crowd-fatigued adults.
You still have a lot of your own enthusiasm, though, so you let Sabo pull you around, from one screen to another, under the streams of LED, between the machines (and you both have to play with every single one of them), through the smoke, the music and optic illusions and holograms. He stops for a sip of water, for a sneaky photo of you as you're engrossed by yet another wonder of the museum, to brush invisible dust from your cheek and to fix your hair. Your heart gets lost in its beat whenever he nears close but doesn't quite skip it as he's already pulling you further, for more, no crumb of patience nor sense of rest left in this man.
Fate (signed with your own words) wanted it to be your first romantic date and the deeper dive you take into it, the less it has in common with anything that could count as romance. Thoughts you planned to reveal, emotions you wanted to offer together with your heart right on a silver plate, get swallowed by the ecstatic commotion and pushed tight to the back of your mind. Sabo is as playful and affectionate as always but his intentions, despite all those sweet gestures and stolen seconds, blur as well. Whatever has already been born between the two of you has been corrupted by the museum, no place nor time to salvage the tension that has built during the hours of waiting, filled with playful banter and shameless flirting.
Or so you think until the route leads you towards the last big exhibition, the biggest in the whole museum. It's spacious and dark, no light with exception of holographic models of constellations over your heads. The atmosphere enforces calm and silence, even the excited chirping of children shimmers down to a whisper. For the first time for what seems to be an eternity you can catch a full breath-and you sigh audibly, suddenly feeling the weight of hours of light and noise.
A hand still wrapped around your wrist pulls you for the last time, towards a cozy nook between a pillar and wall, where the sights and experience diverge from the standard at the middle of the room-but there's no one to bump into you two and disturb the much needed rest.
You want to lean against the wall but your back meets Sabo's chest instead. You feel the vibration of his soft chuckle, then his arms wrap around and squeeze you tight, with support and voracity. A bold move for the first proper date-but it suits him and the atmosphere, so you just let yourself soak in it. It's too comfy to think of an alternative-and you're too tired to banter for freedom anyway.
"You fit here so well," from so close, words spoken right into your ear, Sabo's voice is much softer and smoother. His warm and moist breath makes every little hair on the back of your neck stand with anticipation-and your own breath stutters under the rapid change of your heart's rhythm. "Are you okay? You're running so hot."
You can't find an answer that would satisfy you-but even if you had it, Sabo wouldn't let you speak.
In the thick, pleasantly tense silence, under the holographic stars, his hand wanders to your chin and cups your chin, his thumb affectionately brushing your lips before he catches them with a sweet but breathtaking kiss.

when you want his attention but don't want to say it out loud
Wonwoo x Reader // note: OC is on her period. @glowonu @nothingbutadeadesceane you shouldn't have encouraged me </3
Wonwoo is, quite frankly, dense.
He's getting better though. It's been a learning curve for him and you've gone through quite a lot of fights to get him where he's at.
Not that it's entirely his fault.
Wonwoo tends to be quiet and you understand that it's a part of him. You love him anyway. But there are times when it'd get frustrating if he's constantly quiet even when he's having a hard time while you just want to be there for him.
You don't want him to change for you, but this relationship isn't going to work if he keeps his way of holding things in and never letting you in on his problems.
After one too many fights, you learned that throwing a tantrum would only make Wonwoo more quiet. So one time, you retorted on doing the same thing: keeping to yourself even if it's clear you're having a hard time and brushed it off when Wonwoo asked.
That's when he started getting it.
And now here he is, wondering what you're trying to say as you whine and wrap yourself in your blanket, cursing your uterus for the monthly predicament you're currently in.
"You okay?" He asks just for the sake of it, biting his lip to block a laugh at your glare.
"Do I look okay?"
"Anything I can do to help you feel better?"
That's what you love about him: he's direct and he doesn't waste time when he's confused. But sometimes you also wish he'd just take a hint and coddle you without you spelling things out for him.
Seriously, you're squirming on your shared bed hugging yourself and it's still not clear that you want him to hold you? Haven't you been doing this each month for the past two years you've been dating?
So you let out more whining noises, none of the things coming out of your mouth are actual words, much to his amusement.
He sits by the bed and huffs your name, his palm caresses your head as he asks once again if there's anything you want him to do.
Honestly, he knows you probably want to cuddle or something. As much as he's dense, Wonwoo is also smart. Had you wanted to be left alone, you wouldn't be whining and pouting at him like you're doing right now.
Still, he's in one of his playful mood and you seem to be more adorable today, for some reason.
"Wonwoooooo." You cry for his name, your frown deepens when he simply chuckles with a hum.
"I don't know what you want me to do." You narrow your eyes at the mock confusion in his tone complete with that familiar twinkle in his eyes. "You have to tell me, Flower. I'm a little dense, remember?"
You glare as he uses the words you told him so many longs ago against you, and it's when you huff and turn the other way around to put on a show of being annoyed that Wonwoo relents with a laugh.
The way you elbow him as soon as he slips under the blanket behind you is almost calculated, but you still melt into his embrace and relish in the way his chest vibrates when he laughs at your sorry attempt to hurt him.
"Why are you still embarrassed to ask for a cuddle?" His lips tickle your neck as he whispers, making you squirm a little before you turn around to face him.
"Shut up."
"I thought you said I need to talk more?"
"I take that back. You're annoying. Shut up."
There's nowhere he'd rather be, alright.
"Should I leave you alone then?" He threatens emptily, knowing well enough there's nowhere he'd rather be than here.
You whine again, burying your face into his chest and tighten your arm that's draped over his waist.

There's a certain way about the way the character description of Mike says he's never like a girl before like Will. The solidarity of their characters from the beginning of their relationship, mutual understanding. And the phrasing "you're destroying everything and for what? so you can swap spit with some stupid girl?" The incredulousness of it. The offense taken. Almost a subtext of "I thought we were on the same page about this, like everything. I wasn't leaving for a girl and you weren't leaving me behind in that." Not even to be together, just to say "Lucas and Dustin will like girls, will date girls, and I'll be happy for them. That was always the plan. And we would be happy for them together. And we would sit back and be us. And now you're leaving me too."
And that's why everything Mike says hurts so much. Not because he means it bad. "It's not my fault you don't like girls" doesn't hurt because he believes Mike is homophobic, it hurts because it isolates him. You don't. Unlike me. Feelings aside, this is one of the first things they haven't done together. To quote Nancy this season, as the "Bylers" always parallel each other, "Maybe we just don't understand each other anymore." Mike says "It's not my fault I moved on and you didn't". Then he says "What did you think, really?" And that, talking about it like it was always inevitable, is what hurts too. Will didn't think they were gonna play games in Mike's basement for the rest of their lives. He repeats it because it's a fun idea if really accessible, but Mike was the one to say that the first time. He spits "I really did" back at him. In a way, "How dare you not." Will standing his ground is him saying "I'm not the stupid one here. I didn't think we were never gonna grow up. But sorry for thinking that as we grew up you wouldn't leave me behind."
Mike and Will were the last two to not like girls. That's what that fight is about. Will hadn't been truly alone in that way since he was five because of Mike. And because of that order, Mike was the only one with the capacity to leave him alone in this. But for years, he didn't. And the natural assumption would be that he wouldn't. Not even because he assumed Mike way gay, just because...it's almost a values thing. Like "I thought we were on the same page about this". Like maybe Mike would like a girl. But he would stay. That instinctive trust that you don't really think through hard enough to put into words that might sound a little illogical if said out loud in the way that Mike throws them back at him. But like Will retorted, "Well, I'm sorry for trusting you." And I'm sure it hurt, too, to watch Mike and Lucas bond like this over having girlfriends. And then Dustin had one too and he was happy for him. He didn't seem to mind too much, even when Mike was late to their movies, he didn't say a thing. Because Mike was still showing up. But then Mike and Lucas formed their own little alliance of "guys with girlfriends" and forgot about him. Not just leaving Will behind in their solidarity but finding someone new to share it with. Of course Lucas is their friend but to form this new duo without Will - it hurts.
That fight wasn't just about Mike leaving Will for El when he had feelings for him. It was about Mike leaving him behind. For a girl. It was about an unspoken promise being broken. And Mike making Will doubt that it was ever even there. Making him feel "Stupid. So stupid" for ever believing it was.
And that's why the resolution is good too, as simple as it may have been. Because "What if you wanna join a new party?" is Mike saying "I don't wanna let go of you", and Will saying "not possible" is him promising "I didn't let go when I thought you did". And season 3 is important, too, in how Mike takes that adjustment to "El is now a part of our party" instead of "I'm leaving you for El".

Secrets (your fire)
Inspired by "Symptom of your Touch" by @yoonivy. Go read it!
Pairing: Modern!Aemond Targaryen x Reader.
Genre: Fluff, little bit of angst and humor.
Warnings: language, mentions of sexual relationships.
Notes: after more than ten years in tumblr reading fanfiction I'm publishing my first one. Yep. I'm old. Also, inspired in Magdalena Bay song Secrets (your fire).
Word count: idk, in google docs says "short".
---------------------------------------------------
She is petrified at the confession.
So much that she almost chokes on her ice cream.
No. All good.
The almond went through the right pipe.
"So...", she begins. "How many times?"
He stares back at her, his angular cheekbones covered in a blush. Her stare is one of 'Really dude?'.
He sighs.
"...too many to count," replies Aemond. His hand runs across his medium length hair.
"Holy fucking hell! And now...?"
"She's very happy with Aegon, the jewel of the family," Aemond says, the venom in his voice evident. "They started dating after...the last time, yeah. Been together for six months."
She stares back at him and sighs, when she asked him what was his most important secret, she hadn't expected this. Her confession of being a virgin at 21 was just a tiny detail next to the bomb he had dropped. Suddenly she had no appetite for ice cream.
"I'm sorry you had to go through this.", she said, leaning close to softly caress his shoulder.
His face fell, the look of despair in his eyes was replaced with rage. Although, there still was a sadness undertone to it.
"You know what the worst part is? That the cunt of my brother knows, he fucking knew all the time! So now I have to live with the humiliation of him knowing, the heartbreak and having been used like a common whore!", he spat.
She sighed, his hurt and angst was evident.
"I wouldn't say like a common whore...at least whores get paid," she tried to joke with him.
Bingo. Success. He smiled a little at that.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that...dark version of 'The Kissing Booth'. But hey...at least she dumped you before she caught an STD from Aegon," she joked with a wiggle of her brows.
He burst in laughter and threw her a pillow.
"You fucking idiot. Thank you," and there was sincerity and affection in his eyes for his best friend. "So, is that an confession that you watched 'The Kissing Booth'?"
"Yes I did watch it, I washed my eyes with sulphuric acid after," she said with amusement in her voice. "But, let's go back to 'That Girl'. Are you better? The therapy is working?"
"I-I like to think it does. I've changed...a lot...since I started therapy. It helped me to finally appreciate myself, but when 'That Girl' is brought up I feel like I haven't made any progress. Now my insecurities are tied with the probability of being alone forever and that I'm unworthy of love," he said with a sigh, his fingers scratching the couch.
"Well, that makes two of us. But mine is being alone forever, that I'm unworthy of love and dying a virgin," she said back to him. "I win."
He laughed at her and shook his head in disbelief, before changing the topic into what movie should they watch, like every Sunday.
Their friendship had started in the most bizarre way. They didn't share a major in Dorne College and they lived far away from each other but, by destiny, they had registered in a seminar of Literature at college last semester.
The first time they had talked to each other had happened when they arrived ten minutes earlier to class and started a small talk about their majors. When fifteen minutes had passed and nobody else had arrived they realized that the class was a Thursday, not a Tuesday like they had individually thought.
A small error had blossomed into a great friendship. They both had trouble socializing, very few friends and an interest in novels of any kind, especially fanfiction. When he had, by error, sent her a link to an AO3 fanfic, she had screamed in delight at sharing the same tastes.
It felt magical to have someone who completely understood you, who understood the fascination for reading fanfics where #BruceWayneisaGoodParent, who had the same humor in memes, who knew the references to Epic Rap Battles of History and who screamed in longing at the scene where Cecilia asked Robbie to come back to her in Atonement.
It was perfect.
Well, except for that small small detail...
She liked him.
A lot.

This was inspired by @ghoulgeousimmaculate and her characters from the series Party the Pain Away and the various fics that take place afterwards. Ghoulie and I discussed the possibility of having another boy join the coven after so many girls were brought in. Please read the previous parts if you haven't yet!
WARNINGS: Fic contains mentions of animal death, trauma, PTSD emotional manipulation, power dynamics, toxic relationship dynamics, threats, attempted mugging, knife, cut wound, mentions of blood/murder, sex and alcohol, bribery/blackmail. This has references to Ghoulie's stuff, and takes place in the modern world, not 1987.

Sis could never be alone with her thoughts for too long. She always had to keep herself distracted by something during the night. No matter what she was doing – spending time with her babies, going on dates, or hunting for food – she had to keep her mind from wandering..
When that happened, terrible memories crept into her brain. Horrifying visions of the nightmares she had experienced while wide awake began to play back. Her mother's murder by her own hand. The first time she witnessed the boys feed. Hunters stealing her child and making an escape into the daylight.
Those were the memories that she would be forced to relive again and again and AGAIN the day she left this world for good. No beastly monster could ever hope to see the light of a peaceful realm after death. She had to make the most of her time alive.
After all, she almost didn't make it the night that Cyrus the terrible tore her head from her pregnant body. It was truly hell for her. For them all.
The times when she struggled with those memories were the ones that she found herself longing for something from her human life. Something that was not corrupted by vampires and bloodshed. She had something long ago, which was taken by that very thing.
Queen. Her beloved kitty cat.
Though spoiled beyond belief and incredibly sassy in nature, Queen was a wonderful pet to Sis. Her fur was always soft and fluffy, making it extra pleasant to stroke. Sis loved the way she perched on her stomach to act as a heating pad whenever she dealt with monthly cramps. Her soft purrs and head rubs made Sis' feel safe and loved.
They were loyal companions until the very end…..when David snapped poor Queen's neck.
Sis rarely thought about that terrible night. Thinking about holding the body of her fur baby after the horrid crunch of broken bones filled her ears never failed to bring tears to Sis' eyes. The only reason she began to think about her cat again after years of being a vampire was because she had found an old belonging of Queens.
It had been an uneventful night. Some spring cleaning to occupy her mind. Sis was simply looking for some old antiques to either pawn or decorate the nest with. A velvet jewelry box had caught her eye, sparking an old memory of what she had put inside long ago.
Queen's collar. The last thing she had to remember the kitty by. It even had the tag with Sis's old address on it. Now it was a faded memory of what was once home for the two.
Any work that had captured Sis's focus was forgotten by her. She was completely stuck. Just staring at the trinket and letting tears slip down her cheeks as she grieved in silence.
"My sweet," a raspy voice called to Sis, pulling her attention away. "What're you up to tonight?"
David. Of course, he would pick the worst possible time to try to cause some mischief. Her grip tightened around the woven fabric of the old collar. Her hand trembled terribly, collecting all of her anxiety and anger into one tiny part of her body.
How dare he show his face now? The murderer who took the innocent pet from this world too soon. Even with love and happiness and a beautiful family, Sis would never forget what a monster her husband was. He struck pure terror in her heart when he took her kitty away.
He knew how much she loved her baby, and he still killed the cat without an iota of guilt in his blackened heart.
"Nothing," Sis said, putting the collar back in the jewelry box before shoving it away. "Where's that bottle of absinthe we have?"
David raised an eyebrow at her question. When Sis needed a powerful drink, she usually went for vodka. She had to be in a really bad mental state if she wanted something even harder.
Still, he knew exactly why she wanted it. He could hear all the mournful thoughts of the pet he destroyed long ago. Her lingering trauma from the incident with Cyrus made him realize she needed something to help her feel better.
"Bottom center cupboard on our drink shelf in the study," he told her. "It's tucked away in the very back."
Sis nodded, immediately taking leave. She kept her eyes focused on the ground she moved on, not meeting David's gaze. Though it wasn't exactly subtle, David excused that, as he knew her negative feelings were caused by him.
The darkness in him did not feel remorse for what he did long ago. In his corrupted mind, it was a necessary step in the training to bring the little lady into his life. The queen of the undead needed to be aware that actions had consequences.
Still, David and his boys had grown softer since Sis had come into their lives. She brought out warmth and love they had once assumed was gone when their humanity was destroyed. The past few years had been nothing but sacrifice from her.
She deserved so much for all that she had given for this family. Perhaps the least he could do was provide a new companion as a replacement for Queen. Something protective and loyal, yet kind and gentle with her. Something to keep her safe.
Something…..or someone.
Tumblr media
Current Day
Oliver wasn't sure what he did to deserve someone as fantastic as Sis, but he wasn't going to take it for granted.
Ever since the girls night out she had with her lady friends, Oliver has gotten the opportunity to spend more and more time with her. It became a special bonding experience for the two of them.
A few times a week, Sis would stroll into the restaurant on the arm of a gorgeous date or two. Sometimes it was her husbands, other times it was one of her girlfriends, and sometimes it was a fresh face that ended up disappearing before the date even ended. Oliver didn't know what their problem was ditching her like that, but that just motivated him into making her night extra special.
Every time the closing hour came, Sis stuck around a little longer. She always saved some wine for the two of them to share, invited him to take a seat, and spent some time chatting with Oliver.
It was one of his favorite things to look forward to during the week. He endured plenty of chaotic shifts just to get his moments alone with her.
He was pleasantly surprised to find out how much they had in common. They both had a parent who lost their spouse, but still persisted in life, they both valued hard work, and they both adored children. It was just so easy to talk to her about the ups and downs of life.
"I gotta say, you're really lucky having such a big family," Oliver complimented her over their drinks. "I wanted brothers and sisters so bad when I was a kid."
"I'm sure you would have been the best big brother to them," Sis assured him. It brings me joy to have my family by my side, but I do get what it's like to be lonely. To want some companionship."
That was certainly something Oliver could understand. His father couldn't bear to find love again when his mother passed. He didn't blame the guy, as he talked so highly of her when recounting stories of her life. Even if he could barely remember her, Oliver could tell his mother was the light of his father's life.
He had always wanted to find that kind of love too.
"I'm just grateful for all the after school stuff. Playing basketball with my friends and coaching the younger kids was always a highlight after my day."
"I think it's sweet how devoted you were to them," Sis cooed. "A good man who cares about little ones is hard to come by."
Oliver's cheeks flushed and his smile widened from his feelings of bashfulness. No matter how many nights he sat across from Sis and talked about life, he always found himself overwhelmed with positivity from her words. She was just so full of warmth and kindness. He treasured that quality in her more than she probably realized.
"It's the least I could do. And even so, I think you're even more admirable. Being a parent to three babies and helping take care of several others is no small task."
"You mean that?"
"Of course I do!" Oliver assured her. "I'm sure you're an amazing mom to them."
Sis smiled back at the redheaded boy. Oliver had such a natural gift for making her happy. For far too long now she had heard the despicable thoughts of humans around her. Ones that saw her as a piece of meat to stick their dick into, or only told her pretty lies to get on her good side for their personal benefit.
But whenever she gazed into his mind, she only saw kindness. Someone who genuinely wanted to listen and be her friend. Sure, he found her to be quite attractive, but his desire to be respectful outweighed everything else. He supported her other relationships and felt happy just getting the chance to spend time with her.
The more she got to know him, the more Sis found herself growing attached to the human. So much to a point where the fear of going out into the cold, dark world was no longer as strong as it once was.
"Ollie," she spoke, reaching outward to stroke her painted nails across his fingertips. "It's a beautiful night out. You wanna go for a walk along the beach?"
Green eyes widened and his freckled cheeks stretched to accommodate his big smile.
"I'd love to!"
Tumblr media
It had been ages since Sis felt comfortable enough to go out without her mates acting as security. Though she was well aware of their presence lurking in the shadows not too far from where she went, progress was still being made.
Sis loved the open space of the Santa Carla Beach. Having a slower time in the year allowed her to enjoy the long miles of sand and water. Just the sounds of the breeze and the rocking waves to act as background.
It was all so perfectly peaceful, and Oliver helped make it even more special.
He truly was a gentleman, holding out his arm for her to hold onto. All she had to do was stay by his side and nuzzle close as she talked about whatever she wanted.
All the while, Oliver's heart was racing like a jackrabbit. It made the vampire queen delighted to know he was so head over heels for her. Even without the physical reactions, she could still hear a massive collection of wild thoughts in his head. They all spun around like a tornado.
She's so amazing. I feel like such a dork compared to her. Am I walking too fast? Too slow? Her perfume smells incredible. She's so beautiful. Don't fuck this up, Oliver. You're so lucky to be with her.
I really want to kiss her.
Sis sighed peacefully and relaxed against her tall companion. Such frantic thoughts made for the perfect lullaby to soothe a stressed vampire.
"I'm sorry, am I being too quiet?" Oliver asked out loud. Little did he know he was being far from it in his head.
"Not at all, darling~" Sis assured him.
Boy, did that get his heart fluttering even faster.
Sis enjoyed the sound of it all throughout their stroll. Even as they moved out of the sandy stretch of land and back onto the concrete sidewalks that connected into the city area, Sis was only focused on her companion.
So much to a point where she almost wasn't paying attention when a new presence made itself known.
"FREEZE!"
The sudden shout made the two of them jolt in surprise. Both their sets of eyes locked on a figure that had jumped out from behind a random street corner. A black ski mask covered the man's entire face while dark clothes and gloves covered the rest of his body.
In his hand was a switchblade knife. Long and shining under the moonlight. Oliver's heart nearly stopped at the sight of the weapon.
"Don't do anything stupid," the man hissed. "You're both gonna do exactly as I say. Got it?"
Sis was not at all impressed by this idiotic robber. Too many times she'd dealt with his kind. They all wave around some weapon that can't actually do permanent damage on a creature like herself, make empty threats in exchange for money or jewelry, and yet scream like babies as she tore their throats out. They never learned their lesson.
But Oliver didn't know that. In his mind, she was just as human as he was, and the first instinct he had was to protect her from getting hurt by this stranger.
To Sis' surprise, Oliver gently tugged her behind his back. He put both his hands up in defense while keeping her blocked from any attacks he feared the robber would pull.
"Okay okay," he said, trying his best to sound calm and collected. "I'll do whatever you want, just don't hurt her."
The robber gripped his switchblade tighter, waving it in the redhead's face.
"I won't hurt her so long as she hands over all the jewelry she's got on. Starting with that fancy looking choker."
If her heart still could beat, it would have skipped at that moment. Sis' eyes widened in fear and her hand fell to the base of her necklace out of instinct.
Besides her wedding ring, that particular piece of jewelry meant the world to her. David had gifted it to her as a way to cover up the nasty scar that Cyrus left the night he took her head off. She couldn't stand the sight of it without the haunting memories, so David made sure she had the beautiful piece to cover it and take her mind off of that traumatizing experience.
Not only that, but having a collar style brought her memories of when Queen was still alive. Though it wasn't like the collar her kitty had, such a style of jewelry had familiar aspects that gave Sis comfort. Like she would always have a piece of her companion with her.
She couldn't bear the idea of getting her choker taken away. Oliver could sense the fear in her heart as she cowered behind him, gripping his arm tightly.
He wouldn't let her get hurt in any way.
"Look, man," Oliver said. "I've got over a hundred and fifty dollars from the tips I made tonight in my wallet. I've also got my debit card. They're all yours if you want, just please don't take her stuff."
"Oliver…" Sis whispered. She couldn't believe how even in the face of danger he was willing to sacrifice his own belongings so hers wouldn't be taken away.
That answer didn't fly with the robber though.
"Fuck you, asshole! I said EVERYTHING," the robber snapped, getting angrier by the moment. He wasn't fucking around, and he made certain the two understood him loud and clear.
With a flick of his wrist, the robber swiped the switchblade outward, slicing towards Oliver. Though he jumped backward, the sharp edge nicked his skin, causing him to yipe out in pain.
Sis was ready to start breaking bones and tearing limbs. How dare this piece of shit hurt Oliver? It was like kicking a puppy. Even so, he must have had the same thing in mind, because he acted faster than she did.
Even with his new wound, Oliver moved swiftly, using a fist to knock the handle out of the robber's fingers. Merely half a second after that, he threw himself shoulder-first into the upper torso of his attacker, knocking him off balance and sending him down on his ass. It was truly a "blink and you'll miss it" moment.
"Leave us alone, creep!" Oliver scolded at him, kicking the discarded switchblade across the pavement and into a nearby storm drain. It clanged against metal bars before disappearing from sight.
Even with a disarmed and injured attacker, Oliver and Sis didn't wait around to see what he planned next. Hand-in-hand, they ran in the opposite direction, putting plenty of distance in between themselves and him. With a good pace, they were able to make it out of the area and back to the entrance of his apartment building. Even something small and dingy was better than dealing with a mugging.
"Ollie, you crazy boy!" Sis said in shock, ushering him inside. She couldn't believe the amount of bravery the human had shown. "You could have gotten hurt worse. You could have gotten killed!"
Even with her frightened expression, Oliver returned one with a soft look in his eyes.
"So could you," he pointed out. "I was scared to death he was gonna do something bad to you. I couldn't let that happen!" He tried to fish his apartment keys out, but was too distracted by the blood dripping and pain shooting in his hand.
Though the bright red painted his pale skin beautifully, Sis was surprisingly not in the mood to feed. Her undead heart was aching over how Oliver put himself in danger like that. He had no idea how unnecessary it was to do something courageous for a vampire.
"Let's get you patched up, Hun," she cooed, taking the keys from his grasp in order to unlock the door.
Though Oliver didn't have much since moving to Santa Carla, he at least had preparations for emergencies. A hefty first aid kit was packed away under the kitchen sink, completely stocked with enough gauze, disinfectant, and wound cleaning supplies for a whole army.
Even with his competency in caring for the cut, Sis still helped as much as she could. She tenderly held his injured hand while he used the good one to finish cleaning and bandaging. Her soft fingers caressed his skin to help soothe him more.
"There! Good as new!" Oliver stated proudly. His hand would heal in no time.
"Well, at least let me help a little bit more," Sis offered. She lifted Oliver's hand to her lips, gently kissing over his bandages. Whenever one of her babies got a boo boo, she did the same thing. It made the redhead smile.
"That does help me feel better, thank you.*
The two of them fell silent for a moment. It made Sis ponder about what this boy had done for her. For months now he had taken care of her as a go-to server. He loved to wait on her hand and foot. The nights they spent drinking wine and talking about life made her feel like her heart could start beating again. He was just so genuine and sweet.
And now he had proven he'd put his life on the line for her. Though she was more than capable of protecting herself, Cyrus had taken away a piece of her bravery. Her dignity. Her power.
Oliver returned it to her. He wouldn't ever let anything hurt her when she was out enjoying the night she was reborn into. That was something she couldn't possibly repay him for in thanks.
But it couldn't hurt to try anyway.
"Maybe this will help even more," she whispered. With her eyes fluttering shut and her body moving forward, Sis brought herself in nice and close so she could kiss him.
The hammering of Oliver's heart was like a sympathy in her ears. His lips were red-hot on her chilled skin. Her breathless body enjoyed the sigh of delight he let out. Both his arms wrapped around her as she took hold of his face in her hands.
He was practically putty in her hands now. Warm and cozy and full of joy.
Oh God, I think I love her.
Make that full of love.
Tumblr media
Outside the apartment, a familiar figure was watching the dim light flicker in one of the windows. Smoke puffed past his lips as he took another lungful of his cigarette. He had gone through the whole smoke, and yet he didn't once take his eyes off of the silhouette before him.
His wife was kissing the human waiter. A passionate kiss. One that radiated with gratitude and warmth. He would have been overwhelmed by the little green monster called jealousy if he knew Sis would push her luck with Oliver. But she didn't. Their kiss ended with the two holding each other. A hug of great tenderness to share their gratitude in one anothers safety.
He knew Sis was falling for Oliver. She would have drained him ages ago if she wasn't. Though he preferred to see his fellow coven members touch his bride rather than some lowly human, he knew this was what was best for her. She needed a new love. A companion to make her feel safe.
"Everything go alright, my king?"
David turned his head away from the window to look at the guest he now had. Hidden in the shadows was a figure clothed from head to toe in black. A ski mask shielded his face.
"It did," he answered, flicking the butt of his cigarette onto the ground. "You can take the mask off. Nobody will see you."
The figure nodded before peeling the mask off his head. A mess of dark curls were freed, revealing the appearance of Matthew, Oliver's coworker. It wasn't long ago that he had offered the redhead advice on playing it safe around David and his wife. To be good and live to see another day.
But even those who looked out for the innocent in Santa Carla still remained trapped under the claws of the vampire king.
"You did good tonight, kid," David complimented him. He slipped a gloved hand into his pocket, revealing a massive envelope stuffed full with five thousand dollars. Much more than what Oliver has offered to spare Sis.
Matthew frowned, hesitating at the reward. It never felt right doing things like this, and it never got better.
"I hope I didn't hurt him too bad. I wish I had used a fake knife instead…"
"Nonsense! It wouldn't have been authentic," David smirked, pushing the cash into Matthew's hand.
"Don't beat yourself up over it. You did your job, and now you can go home to that handsome fiancé of yours. I'm sure that money will be quite helpful for your wedding. Ian's a very lucky guy. Wouldn't want to lose someone special like that, right?"
Matthew gulped, hands trembling and growing clammy from the king mentioning his husband-to-be. He had made threats to stop by for a visit if Matthew didn't agree to this in the first place.
"Yes, my king," he sighed. "So long as you and the queen are happy, then we're happy".
David grinned devilishly to himself. Now that the redheaded boy had passed the test, he knew for certain he was going to make the perfect gift for Sis. With his eyes moving back over the light of the window, his mind danced with devious plans of what was to come next for Oliver.
"Oh believe me, I am ecstatic."

#: best friend!Haknyeon x gn reader, friends to lovers! , fake dating!

[💌: my love, i'm so sorry this took so. damn. long :( especially since it was your first request :< i hope you still enjoy it ee >_< i had fun slowly writing it bit by bit ! also tbz's comeback slays omg i'm so ?!?!]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"when you get married, i'll pay you to let me sing at your wedding," Hak says before sticking his lollipop back in his mouth.
the two of you are sat in your bedroom, just hanging out as you always do.
he removes it again to use it as a microphone while singing the most horrendous cover of a song with too many high notes to count. Haknyeon is a gorgeous singer, he just purposely sings bad sometimes to make you laugh.
he continues to bounce around your bed while singing until you speak.
"not like that, hell no," you reply but unable to hold back a smile.
you think about his words. when you get married? did he want you to get married off already? why would he be singing... wouldn't he be the groom?
you've liked your best friend, Hak, for a year now, and you've only been falling deeper and deeper. somehow, everything he does makes your heart flutter. if he's a little too close, if he wraps an arm around you, if he waits for you after your night class on campus... you're flooded with butterflies.
you're almost sure he doesn't feel the same way, though. that's why you haven't even thought about confessing. as selfish as it is, you'd rather be close to Haknyeon through this friendship than ruin it completely just to tell him your feelings.
"hey.. why are you so lost in your thoughts. don't be so boring!" Haknyeon whines, snapping you back to reality. he gently takes hold of your shoulders and shakes, filling you with giggles.
then, his phone buzzes next to your legs, entangled from Haknyeon trying to tickle you.
when he picks up to check it, you watch as his face darkens before he tosses his phone to the side.
"what happened, Hak? everything okay?"
"yeah," he mumbles.
but you know he's not okay. you don't press him further, though. instead, you tell him that if he ever wants to tell you, you'll be ready to listen.
even though a week ends up passing before he tells you, you're still ready to listen.
he asks you to meet him at a café and you find him with dark circles under his eyes, messy hair hidden under a beanie and his leg shaking up and down with how nervous he is.
"hey Hak, what's up? are you okay?"
"no, i'm not," Haknyeon tells you, frankly.
he pushes a drink towards you. of course, he knows you so well that he was able to order your favourite drink for you in advance.
"i... keep getting texts from someone and it's been bothering me. they keep calling me, too, and i'm going insane."
your heart drops. Haknyeon doesn't even have to explain. you already know who he's talking about: his psycho ex.
they broke up almost a year ago, yet Hak still keeps receiving calls and texts from them. they've even shown up to his house, followed him around. they're a complete stalker.
everything had died down for a few months after Haknyeon went to the police, but now they're back again?
"i've contacted the police and they've said that the texts and calls pose no threat, that i should just block them. i do, i keep blocking them but they keep calling with different numbers. i don't even know whose calls to answer anymore, y/n, i'm going insane."
"show me," you say, gesturing for Haknyeon's phone.
with a pout and quivering lips, he hands it to you. you scroll through the messages, filled with anger. all of them talk about how Hak will never be able to find anyone as good as them, his ex. they tell him his life is over without him, that he'll die alone.
suddenly, you have an idea.
"Hak... i know what to do. you said they stalk your instagram too, right? but you have a restraining order on them so they can't see you in person?"
Haknyeon nods along to your words.
"okay... what do you think about being digital lovers? how about we post as if we're dating and show your ex that you can be happy without them?"
your heart races as you explain your idea, and honestly you don't even expect Haknyeon to agree. you're also mad at yourself because... are you just taking advantage of the situation to act on your feelings for Hak?
despite it all, Haknyeon, with red ears, nods at you.
"let's do it. and let's start right now," he says.
-
"no, what the hell, this angle is so ugly?" you whine as Haknyeon attempts to take a photo of your drinks.
"i'll do it," you snap before snatching the phone out of his hands. the boy is left pouting as you do all the work.
"okay, now put your hand in and complete the heart i'm making," you say.
even feeling Haknyeon's fingers touching yours makes your heart race, but you quickly tell yourself to shut up.
"there. now post this with the caption: 'first date... already so in love'," you say.
Haknyeon scoffs. "how do you come up with the most absurd ideas?"
you stick your tongue out at him.
he shakes his head but still posts and yep, before even a minute has passed, his ex is sending him messages again.
who's that? first date with who? you're lying. you're lying i know you are. you think this will get me to leave you? you need me, Hak. you need me.
"more like they need you. how pathetic. it's okay, Hak. the more we post, the more it'll convince them. just give it time and ignore them, okay? block this new number again. and if you're ever scared or can't sleep, just come to me. it's okay," you say, patting Haknyeon's shoulder.
the look he gives you is unlike anything you've seen before. his eyes are all watery and star-filled, and he looks at you as if you're someone else. his ears are red, too.
"everything okay?" you ask, your hand on his shoulder.
"y-yeah.. just fine," he replies.
this is the first time Haknyeon starts to suspect he has feelings for you.
-
a few days later, the two of you go to an art gallery. there, you take plenty of cringey but cute couple-shots, none of them showing your faces. though, it's very obvious that Haknyeon is in every photo.
"y/n, this is so pretty.. it's almost as pretty as you," Haknyeon says, giggling to himself while he shows you a painting of a flower garden.
"hey, now. you don't have to act like my boyfriend in real life, too," you say, feeling flustered.
"but.. you're pretty! it's true.." Haknyeon trails off and you clear your throat, unconsciously taking his hand as you guide him to the next painting.
Haknyeon's heart races and so does yours.
it's the second time Haknyeon realizes he's falling for you.
-
another day, another (fake) date with Haknyeon. the two of you walk hand-in-hand through the downtown streets while you snap pictures of your interlocked fingers. Haknyeon keeps fidgeting, not knowing what to do with his free hand and constantly worrying that he'll start sweating and you'll be grossed out by his wet palms.
"Hak, your hand looks weird... like, too stiff? just relax!" you say.
he clears his throat and nods with a small small. despite trying his best, he still looks too stiff and you decide to just head into a café to rest.
"you know what, i think your ex is still being annoying because they haven't seen your s/o's face.. maybe we should show our faces this time?" you point out.
"ah, but then.. all our friends will think we're for real, too," Haknyeon says, sadly.
and... so what? wouldn't that be good, too?
you nod your head, pointing your phone at the cake/drinks and Haknyeon who sits across from you. though, he stops you. he takes the phone out of your hands and takes a deep breath in through his nose.
he knows it. he knows it, now. he likes you.
"what if.. what if we do post a photo of our faces... as a real couple?" he asks, only meeting your eyes after he's done speaking.
"hm?"
Haknyeon clears his throat and tries again. "y/n.. what if we date for real?"
your heart starts racing as you take in the sincerity in his eyes.
"do you.. like me?" you ask.
Haknyeon slowly nods and you're filled with butterflies.
"i like you too, Hak... l-let's take a selfie this time, then," you say, grinning as Haknyeon quickly gets up to sit beside you instead of across from you.
he carefully wraps an arm around you as you take the photo. the second the shutter goes off, he turns and gently presses his lips to your cheek.
"i've always wanted to do that," he says, cheekily.
"but Hak. how can you sing at my wedding if you're my husband?" you ask, reminding Hak of when his ex first started texting him while the two of you were together at your place.
he grins, poking your cheek.
"i can sing and marry you, y/n. all for free!"
you smile back at him and rest your head on his chest.

beloved | kiri sully
summary: kiri does a romantic date to celebrate valentines day with her special someone, the reader.
genre(s): fluff
glossary: yawne - beloved
warnings: none. just puppy teenager love. this is not proofread!
Tumblr media
kiri heard a lot of stories about earth traditions and costumes from her father growing up, but she had a favorite topic: the celebrations. they were so different from what she was familiar with, and yet so beautiful to her. celebrating your union with the person you have fallen in love with had to be the most endearing of them all; something that her parents ended up doing every year.
even though she found the intent of valentines day really beautiful, it just wasn't for her — the girl was always busy helping her grandmother with the sick and wounded or following her siblings around trying to prevent them from causing trouble. she had no time to fall in love, let alone celebrate it.
that's what she thought until she met you.
as soon as kiri laid eyes on you, she knew you were something else. because how could someone catch her attention like this? and how was it possible that she hadn't noticed you before? you were wounded from a not so successful hunt, scratched face and cuts all over your back; she immediately prontified to take care of you.
and just like that, you became inseparable, always looking for excuses to see her when she was doing her daily tasks, and vice versa. then, you were seeing each other at your free times; it was like you were drawn to each other by a bigger force, something you couldn't explain.
you had this unspoken relationship — you both knew that you had fallen for one another, the treatment between you being far more special than a friendship would have. you wouldn't let anyone else court you but her, and yet, none of you made it official. maybe it was out of pure fear, maybe because you haven't felt the need to put a label on what you had until the very moment you were right now, the sweetness of the situation making your heart beat faster.
“yawne, where are you taking me? we've been walking for a while now. i'm curious!”
kiri looked back and smiled at you. “just be patient. it's a surprise.” the girl kept guiding you by your hand, but walking faster than before — she was almost skipping.
seeing her so excited had a warm sensation run through your body; you couldn't help but smile too.
finding yourselves deep in the forest, she brought you to a secluded place: trees around a small blanket covering the ground, a fruit bowl, some seeds and a juice jar. a picnic.
“that's new. is there a special ocasion that i'm not aware of?”
“actually, it has.” she got closer to you, intertwining your fingers together. “my dad talked about this tradition they have back at the earth, valentines day. where you go out with your loved one and kind of… celebrate the fact that you're together.” her cheeks were tinted with a darker blue, she was flustered.
you thought that she was really cute like this.
“i wanted to celebrate it with you.”
“this is adorable, ma’ kiri. you're adorable.” you couldn't help but smile; there was no one else in pandora you would rather spend a day like this than her. giving kiri a kiss on the forehead, you sat down.
“i'm sorry if this is too corny. i think i just wanted to be with you.”
“that's not corny. it's cute. i like it. we should definitely do it more times! but i'll be the one organising the date next, don't even try argue with me.”
she smiled. “i won't.”
you ate in a silence for a while, with this one thought at the back of your mind: even though you knew that kiri liked you, she never really vocalized it. you were always the one that expressed your feelings the most — it's not that kiri wasn't loving, no. she showed her feelings for you on her own way — hearing her say that you were her loved one was a new thing. and it made you happy.
“you're quiet. what's on your mind?”
“you.”
and then you saw it again: her cheeks flushed, eyes drifted away from you. “you're just teasing me. be serious.”
“i'm not! i was really thinking about you and something that you said earlier.”
“what did i say?”
“when you were explaining about the celebration earlier you said that you spend it with your loved one. you never really vocalized your feelings for me, so it made me happy. that's all.”
she looked at you, shyness slowly taking over her. it was true that she never really expressed her feelings through words, as much as she wanted to. maybe it was time to start changing that.
“i said the truth. you are my loved one.”
now it was your turn to blush, suddenly having a loss of words. this didn't go unnoticed by kiri, a smile forming through her lips. “cat got your tongue?”
“don't make fun of me… i'm just not used to this.”
“yeah, me neither. i'm a little embarrassed too.”
laying your head on her lap, you closed your eyes for a minute. everything about this moment was peaceful: the light breeze of the forest, the sounds the animals made and kiri’s hand playing with your hair. you could feel her eyes on you, like she was waiting for your response.
“yawne.” you called, eyes still closed. “what are we?”
you never had this conversation before. kiri felt a wave of nervousness reach her.
“i don't know.” she said quietly, almost like a whisper. opening your eyes, you could see her face contorted in a worried expression; you wished you could see what was going through her mind.
“we act like a couple. we like each other like a couple would. what's stopping us to make this an official thing? i want everyone to know about us.”
“do you really want to be with me like that?”
“who wouldn't?”
she smiled, eyes fixated on your face. “let's do this. it would be an honour to be your girlfriend.”
“an honour, seriously?” you said between a breathy laugh. “now you're exaggerating.” she laughed alongside you, connecting your foreheads together.
you wished you could stay in this moment forever.
with your laughter ceasing, kiri’s eyes darted to your lips. she stroked your cheek with her thumb. “i really want to kiss you right now.”
“then what are you waiting for?” you said as you sat up, waiting for her to get closer.
and then she did it. it was sweet and full of love, like everything she ever did for you. one of her hands were caressing your face and the other was grabbing your waist. you smiled in the middle of it, gently stroking her hair. kiri sully really was something else. because nobody but her could made you feel like this; you heart was racing, and yet, you were at peace. a contraditory statement, but it was true — she made you feel a mixture of emotions you never felt before meeting her, and it didn't matter how many time has passed, you could never get enough of it.
separating the kiss, you looked at your girlfriend with an enamoured expression; your lips had a smirk formed on them, glossy eyes looking deeply at hers. gosh, you couldn't be more in love.
“happy valentines day, kiri.”
“happy valentines day, yawne.”

Random-Mailbox's Favorite Sailor Moon Fics - Week 39 - Missing Scenes Part I
Tumblr media
This week’s post is for the amazing @riverlethe, since today is her birthday! 🍰❤️🎂🎉🎊💐
Following one-shots are fandom’s way to fill in the blanks in both Anime and Manga, giving our characters much needed closure and depth. It was hard to decide what to include, so @goddessalthena suggested I do this as Part I, which will allow me to do another post down the road with more (similar to what I did with Christmas stories).
Also, don't forget to check out the prompts for @usamamoweek2023!
As always, my apologies in advance for spoiling some of these for you (Fic Titles are linked to either FFN or AO3 entries).
A Nightmare Between Them - Sweetsugarines
This one-shot gives us a glimpse into the mental state that Usagi was in post-Black Moon and Nehelenia battles.
Love Breeds Insanity - @angelmoongirl
Usagi absolutely refused to cancel or postpone her first date with Mamoru since the defeat of Galaxia. No matter how terrible she might be starting to feel or what her friends are trying to tell her.
The Aftermath - sailor-elsa
This is the darkest story of the bunch, with Usagi trying and almost failing to handle the aftereffects of the battle with Pharoah 90.
ER Epiphany - @uglygreenjacket
Mamoru’s work-shift gets interrupted by a youma in the ER. Who will step in to help if he is not able to transform without someone noticing?
All's Fair in Love and Birthdays - @uglygreenjacket
Another awesome one-shot that fills in the gap after the birthday episode. Mamoru and Usagi actually get to discuss what happened that day and what it meant to both of them. With Mamoru not playing very fair 😏

Set between Anime’s R and S seasons, Usagi and Mamoru grapple with the weight of responsibilities and lack of alone time, as Chibi-Usa re-appears in their lives.
