Mamoru gets dragged to a club by Motoki to meet his new girlfriend’s friend, something he does NOT want to do. While waiting at the bar, he notices a pretty blonde in a rainbow romper that he would much rather spend time with. This one-shot is a bit of a love-at-first-sight story but super well done (as all of Daikon’s pieces tend to be 😘)
Crossroads - Dejana Talis (Dejana)
Bartender Darien is seeing one set back after another in his quest to leave his tiny town in the middle of nowhere. On one of his worst days yet, he picks up a hopeful hitchhiker, trying to get to the big city and make things happen for herself.
You and I Always: Chapter 1: Free Day - @cassraven
In this one-shot, we get a cute and confident bartender Usagi and a very drunk Mamoru, who repeatedly confesses his love for her.
Drunken Sailor Moon - Reader458
Fun little story about Sailor Moon accidentally stumbling across Dark Generals and managing to drink them under the table. We get Rei x Usagi in this one too!

When Mamoru ran into Usagi at the hotel bar in Vegas, he vowed to help protect her. Apparently that included not letting her drunkenly get married to anyone but him.
The One With the Vegas Vacation - @she-dreams-in-pink
If I am going to include one Vegas story, I can’t skip out on the other! In this one, Minako drags drunk Mamoru and Usagi to a wedding chapel because she thinks it would be hilarious if those two had a fake wedding. I am really hoping we get the last chapter of this story one day, although it does leave off on enough of a clean break to not really need it.
Luck of the Irish - @gossamerwillow
Minako (as Sailor V) and Artemis take on a Youma in a tiny Irish town while on a family vacation. (This totally fits with the St Patrick's Day theme, even if there is no drinking involved!)

Random-Mailbox's Favorite Sailor Moon Fics - Week 24 - Do a Grouch a Flavor Day
This week we are covering a fun topic - Do A Grouch A Favour Day (link to the page explaining more about it and giving some fun facts) - thanks @caelenath for introducing me to it! It is a mix of stories that cheer ME up and stories where the characters do that to each other (even if we are a couple of days late - it was celebrated on February 16th this year)!

Following stories cheer me up when I am feeling grumpy or need a palate cleanser after reading a darker story:
Trapped! - For Eden
So right off the bat I want to say - keep an open mind! In this story Mamoru has parents, with his mom getting obsessed with getting him married off and actually proceeds to go to an agency to find him a wife. Interactions between Usagi and Kunzite in this are hilarious, keeping the story lighter. And Mamoru realizing he won't cut it as a secret agent was *chef’s kiss*
Swipe Right: A Tinder Tale - @daikon1
Mamoru is told he needs a date for Motoki's wedding, and Minako decides that Usagi should get Mamoru out of her head and sets up a Tinder profile for her. As our protagonists sit down to swipe away, they come across each other in the first 30 minutes on the app. After freaking out about swiping right, both proceed and get to have a conversation that was years in the making. This one is a bit of a 🍋
A Nice, Relaxing, Normal...Date? - @wishwars
Usagi has a date, based on a suggestion from Motoki, and is super excited to tell him about her experience. Except Mamoru is sitting RIGHT there and getting more jealous by the second.
Drink Me - @queenrisa14
Cute one-shot of Usagi picking up a very drunk Mamoru from a night out with Motoki. He proceeds to make out with her purse and tell her how much he needs to not lose her again, being an adorable emotional mess.

The love I have for this poem knows no bounds. I might have even gotten a few people to do dramatic readings of it to their significant others when I first came across it (because it is THAT amazing), and so completely in character for our favorite duo. Usagi and Mamoru take a bath together, doing some experimentation.

King Endymion has to win back Neo-Queen Serenity, who has been giving him the cold shoulder, as the freshly developed memories of the split in R arc have begun to flood in.
Stuff Tippy Wrote -- Sailor Moon edition: Chapter 17: Usagi's bad day - @tiptoe39
Usagi is having one of THOSE days, where nothing goes right no matter how much she tries. When she eventually makes her way to the arcade to try and cheer herself up, Mamoru sits down next to her. Except this time, instead of continuing their verbal sparring, he offers to buy her some ice cream to make her day a little better.

Box of Chocolates - Chapter 1: Day 2: Box of Chocolates - @kasienda
Mamoru comes home late from another long shift to a worried Usagi, except he has a very good excuse. This premise or tradition of sorts that @kasienda does with her own husband is something I do with mine too.
Valentine's Day - @ninjettetwitch
Serena over-reacts when Darien tries to find out why she is feeling down, kicking off a chain of events that leads to Darien finally admitting his feelings.
Wishing You Were Mine - @moon-daisuki
Someone leaves behind an unsigned love letter on the counter of the Crown Arcade. So Motoki, having guessed who the author might be, decides to blow it out of proportion and make it into a mystery party with the help of a local radio station.
Idiots - @riverlethe
I love the way @riverlethe depicts these fools' failure to convey their emotions. We even get psychometry in this one! In this two-shot (I really hope we get more of these, because "Reveal" has to happen and will be glorious whenever it does), Usagi makes homemade chocolates for her class, Motoki and special ones just for Mamoru, who returns the favour on White Day.
love makes ya crazy - @hellomomo
When Motoki find a love letter that he presumes is meant for Reika, Usagi volunteers herself and Mamoru to help him figure out who this mystery person might be.
Before The Clock Strikes Midnight - missscatterbrain325
To avoid getting any more chocolate on Valentine’s Day, Darien declares that he is in love with one of the girls sitting at the booth in the back - Serena and her friends. Except that habits are hard to break and our duo has hell of a time figuring out how to communicate their feelings.
AND I am going to add a story that was technically part of the Groundhog Day post but it is literally called Valentines Day, so I figure - why not double dip
Valentines Day - Raine Delmont
Mamoru has to re-live the same day over again until he can figure out what his feeling actually and how to change Usagi's feeling towards him, all in 1 day.

Now that we know that Usagi is living with Mamoru in "A Date for December" from the snippet on Day 7 of @usamamoweek2023, what are some of your head canons about their day-to-day life that may not make it into the main story? ❤️❤️❤️
I don't know all the things that won't fit, but current random musings about Usagi sharing Mamoru's apartment are:
Mamoru is not at all quiet around the apartment. He's only ever lived by himself so he's never had to think about being quiet when cooking or coming in at 2am from a hospital shift.
Sometimes he comes in so loudly and so suddenly that Usagi visibly startles in the middle of her stream. Once, she got a lollipop* stuck in her pigtail.
Usagi teaches him to say 'tadaima' (I'm home) when he comes into the apartment. It helps. A little.
Given the utilitarian nature of his apartment, Usagi thinks to bring him some flower cuttings from work. But she doesn't know if he likes flowers or if he's allergic. She makes a guess.
Mamoru and Luna get along wonderfully. Sometimes when he has an afternoon shift, she'll come snuggle on his lap while he reviews patient files or medical journals.
Mamoru finds ridiculously long, blonde hairs woven into every shirt he owns. Especially the turtlenecks.
All of Usagi's knitted stockings smell of cedar from being stored in Mamoru's dresser with his sweaters.
Usagi grabbed his cologne bottle thinking it was her hairspray. The hold was less than impressive and her deliveries were a bit awkward.
Usagi doesn't rock-paper-scissors for an undesirable chore. Oh no. Mamoru's ancient tv becomes the home of epic DDR battles to determine who will clean the cat box. Usagi may have muscle memory but Mamoru more than makes up for it with his grace and long legs.
And one more non-apartment headcanon:
*Mamoru keeps bags of child-safe lollipops (the ones with the loop instead of a stick) in his scrub pockets. He brings home a few strawberry ones for Usagi.
