#and LBD has to explain she does not know
amazingdeadfish · 4 months
Note
I already wrote a comment asking about 'mama LBD', but I have another question, if LBD had to teach them everything again, does that mean they had THE TALK? because I think it would be really funny to know how they came to that conversation.
Y'know what? I've thought about this before. And y'know what the answer that I came to?
Yes. Yes she did. She did give them the talk.
And y'know what? Y'know what buddy?
Here. Take this. Because I don't know if I'll ever release other stories like this one. It's set before LBD was imprisoned:
~~~
This is the only warning: This includes an explanation of how reproduction works.
"How are there so many of them?" They asked her one day. It was rather strange to say the least, standing here in this village, filled with humans of all shapes and sizes. They looked like them, that's for sure, and they could understand them, yet they still felt like they stuck out like a sore thumb (even though they went unnoticed, along with their Lady). In this village, they felt rather out of place amongst the majority. This was not a pace they belonged to, nor anywhere else. They only felt like they belonged to the Lady Bone Demon.
"Elaborate," she simply questioned.
"Humans," they said, "why are there so many of them?"
She turned to them slowly, with a rather peculiar expression on her face. A sense of dread seemed to wash over her, and her face scrunched up ever so slightly. Then she turned back to looking at the people around the two.
"Reproduction," she hesitantly confessed. "I... Suppose you had to ask eventually."
"Is that a concept or a thing, my lady?" They inquired, tilting their head a little.
"It is a process of sorts," she continued, quite careful with her elaboration. "There's two types. Asexual and Sexual. Asexual is where there is one individual, who makes a clone of themselves to make another individual. Sexual, the method that humans use, is where a female and a male-" she hesitated, "come together to create a child."
"A child is one of those little things, right?" They said, pointing at some children nearby.
"Yes. But do not point, it is rude," Lady Bone scolded gently. Her hand quickly pressed their pointed hand down and they lowered it immediately.
"Apologies," they mumbled. After a moment of silence, they asked, "so like, how does it work though? Do humans sort of just, magically create one?" After making some strange gestures in the air, ones that barely supported their point, Lady Bone let out an exasperated sigh.
"Humans have reproductive organs," she said, "specifically to reproduce. These organs have to, come together in order to make an offspring. A female has a vagina, and a male has a penis. However every so often there will be individuals who might carry both. Those people are intersex. Demons also typically bear either one or two of those sexual organs, depending on what type of demon they are."
And after much, much hesitation, Lady Bone Demon glanced at them, seemingly regretting what she was going to say next.
"And you also have a reproductive organ. The male kind."
Immediately, they widened their eyes, and glanced all over their body. Patting it down under their armour as they tried to find what she was talking about.
"What is it?" They asked. Because they really did not know what it was. Did humans reproduce with their arms or something? Was that just another word for arms...? They did not know. They really did not know.
When they finally looked back up to her, Lady Bone Demon, reluctantly, still wearing the sense of dread on her face, gestured to their crotch.
Without even a single bit of hesitation, they pulled on the hem of their pants a little outwards, just by enough so they could peak to look.
"Is that what that thing is for-?" They blurted out. Only to immediately be interrupted by their Lady who exclaimed.
"Oh you will not do that in public! Take your hand away," she scolded. Her hand made the shooing gesture, and they quickly withdrew their hand and let their pants go back to covering their legs and crotch.
"Apologises," they mumbled again, feeling rather shameful now. She simply shook her head, letting out a sigh. But after another moment of silence, they knew they had to ask something else.
"So... Did you asexually reproduce me then?" They asked, "because... You created me by yourself, right?"
"No," she curtly replied. "I did not asexually create you because you are not a clone of me."
"Oh."
"And I did not reproduce you either, it is more -" she hesitated, her face scrunching up a little once more. "it is more as if I produced you, rather than reproduce. Because you are artificially created."
"Ah... I see."
So... Apparently there is a difference. Good to know.
"Enough questions," she huffed out, "we ought to cleanse this village. If you do it fast enough then perhaps we will even arrive at the next one near the neighbouring mountain."
"At your service, my Lady!" They exclaimed happily. Pulling out their sword and bowing at her, "I will make quick work of it!"
~~~
Annnnnnnd that's how the Mayor learned what sex is. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

ooo if your not busy maybe Mei or Azure a gn! Reader who’s a descendant of the lady bone demon but said friend tries to hide that fact from them
Tumblr media
(Thank you for sending such an interesting request! I ended up liking this scenario so much that I wrote out a few characters for it!)
Descendant of the Lady Bone Demon: Part One
(Part One) (Part Two) (Part Three)
Maybe they should’ve seen this coming. Maybe there were a few warning signs they didn’t pick up on. Looking back on it now, it’s pretty obvious, isn’t it? All those little things should’ve added up a long time ago.
The way the room grew silent and tense when you walked in, no matter how how exuberant it had been prior. How you manage to sneak up on everyone without even trying, as though you had no presence. The wide berth that strangers give you, even though they can’t explain why. That last one had been particularly strange for your friends. They hadn’t understood why people would treat you so coldly, not back then.
They understand now.
Tumblr media
Mei Dragon thinks of you as one of her best friends, right alongside MK. Even in childhood were the two of you close, your company providing a brief break from her parents expectations and the crushing weight of living up to her family name. She grows up to think of you as a sibling, really. She’s a ride or die, rise to the challenge, thrill junkie sort of girl. And above all else, she’s fiercely loyal to her friends.
So Mei doesn’t believe a word that LBD has to say. She doesn’t care about destiny, about fate, about these so-called “invisible strings that guide us all through life”.
She lives her life as she pleases, doing what makes her and her friends happy! And she’s not gonna listen to a word that some wannabe world-destroyer has to say about it!
Until the Lady Bone Demon mentions you.
“Y/N bears my very own blood, thin though it has grown. In time, they will follow the very same path I have, to cleanse this world of pain and suffering.”
Now she’s listening. Her control over the Samadhi Fire slips, scorching a ring of death into the earth around her. The heat alone wilts the any flora that was spared outright combustion. “How…” The fire flickers, fizzles.
And then promptly reignites, blazing hotter than ever before. Immediately, the Lady Bone Demon cringes away from Mei’s sweltering power as oppressive heat waves bear down on her. She can only watch in fear and awe as the Samadhi Fire grows hotter and brighter, fueled by rage.
“How DARE you say that about my friend! Y/N would never do anything like that!” A blazing arc of black and red fire slices into the blue crystal formations created by the demon, melting them into sizzling puddles. Her anger builds with each lash of multicolored fire, reducing each and every spiked crystal around her to a mess of glowing goo.
That anger doesn’t fade even after the fight is over, not even after she gets to see the Lady Bone Demon shred apart and drift away. It’s cathartic to watch, but doesn’t make her any less angry about what she heard.
No, that anger only fades once she has you in her arms, hugging you as tightly to herself as possible. You don’t know about your lineage. No one else does either. Just Mei. Which leaves her with the worst dilemma of her life.
Does she tell you? Does she tell anyone?
She doesn’t want to be like Sun Wukong, hiding important information from even the people who would be affected by it the most. She was a victim of that, and it had hurt. She doesn’t want to hurt you. That’s the last thing she wants. But she also doesn’t want to cast any doubt on you, doesn’t want anyone to think you might end up a destructive foe that would one day need to be struck down.
The fear of losing you somehow outweighs the fear of you being angry at her for withholding information from you.
So she keeps quiet.
Mei rationalizes her silence on the matter by telling herself that she’ll tell you later. Yes, everything will work out, she’s sure of it! She’ll just… wait. Just a little bit. When everything calms down and everyone starts to move on from this disaster, she’ll speak up. Once everyone is in a better, happier mood, they’ll definitely be more receptive to the bad news, right? So she isn’t doing anything wrong. She isn’t acting like the Monkey King. She’s… just keeping you safe.
And she really hopes you won’t hate her for it.

Tumblr media
Tang has long pondered your place in this little group. It’s not that he doesn’t like having you here, nothing of the sort! Really, he sees you as family, the same way he sees everyone else in this ragtag group of misfits.
But you stick out like a sore thumb. Everyone else has a direct tie to the original pilgrims who once undertook a legendary journey to retrieve sacred texts.
Tang Sanzang for Tang. Zhu Baije for Pigsy. Sha Wujing for Sandy. Ao Lie for Mei. Sun Wukong for MK. Everyone had someone who their skills, appearance, or even personality harkened back to.
Everyone except for you. Tang had made several guesses before, wondering if there was someone you yourself were standing in the place of. But no one truly seems to fit. Rather than distancing himself from you over this disparity, he makes an effort to grow closer. “It must be lonely”, he reasons to himself, “being the odd man out.” He’s struggled with his own insecurities of being useless or weak, so he can relate to you on a personal level. After making that connection between the two of you, he starts to look out for you, trying to help guide you as you grow.
Tang probably sees himself as your father figure, just the way he sees himself as MK’s.
But, since you don’t have the support system that MK has, he tries to take a more involved role in your life. He’ll sit down with you to chat about any troubles or struggles you have, offering you a kind ear and a welcoming shoulder. And if you ever are struggling with something so bad that it breaks you down and leaves you in tears, he happily takes you into his arms and stays with you through the meltdown. If you fall asleep in his embrace after wearing yourself out, he enjoys it all the more.
He cherishes moments like that, actually.
Sure, he’s sympathetic to your feelings of loneliness and isolation. It’s true that he wants you to be happy. Sometimes he hates the world for hurting you the way it has.
But he loves that you trust him enough to break down in front of him, that you trust him to console and protect you in your weakest moments.
Even at a moment like this, where one of the greatest threats to humanity is bearing down on the two of you. For once, he doesn’t hide or cower. Not when your life is on the life. His golden shield encapsulates both of you, a fierce glare painting his face as he holds you close. You breath raggedly against his shoulder, barely able to support yourself. You had been wounded in the fight, nearly passing out after taking several blows for him and the others. Now, he holds you close, standing tall as you lean on him for support. He watches as the Lady Bone Demon throws attack after attack at the two of you, each blast of crystal and bone shattering and fading against his aureate shield.
The ancient demon glares down at him, a sneer curling her face. “You would fight your destiny? The great monk, Tang Sanzang-”
“I don’t care! Even if I am his reincarnation or his descendant… the choices I make are mine and mine alone! And I will always choose to protect my friends!”
“Even Y/N? Even the very one who bears my blood within them? Are you truly willing to risk saving them now, that they might follow my ways later?”
All the little pieces click into place for him. The mystery he had pondered the most was finally solved, and now he had to live with learning the answer.
“That- that doesn’t matter! Y/N is a person all their own, who will make their own decisions! And I trust them to stay by our side and fight for good! I won’t let you corrupt them!”
And he doesn’t. His resplendent barrier holds fast, shining brightly until all that is left of the demon has been scattered to the wind. He holds you gently, mustering the strength to carry you on his when everyone makes the trip back to Pigsy’s noodle shop. Someone like Sandy or Wukong would definitely better suited to the physical labor he was performing, but Tang couldn’t bear to separate himself from you yet.
Nor is he willing to let go once everyone has taken a seat. He props you up against himself, rubbing your back to keep you awake. “The kids eat first,” Pigsy says, carrying three hearty bowls of noodles. MK, then Mei, then you. Once all of you have your noodles, the chef goes back to the kitchen to start on another batch. Tang holds the bowl and the chopsticks, lifting the noodles to your mouth. Occasionally, he tips the bowl to your mouth so you can sip at the nourishing broth. On any other day, he would’ve swiped a few bites for himself while feeding you. Now, you’re all he can think of. He feeds you bite by bite, then guides you to lay your head in his lap once you’ve finished.
“Hey, Tang.” Pigsy peers down at him, another bowl of noodles in his hands. He passes it to Tang. “What was that demon lady saying to ya anyways?”
Tang looks down at you, watching your chest rise and fall, looking more at peace than ever before. He can’t tell you. Not here. Not now. Maybe not ever. But he and Pigsy can both keep secrets, and more than that, you’ll have two targets to split your anger between, keeping Tang from catching the brunt of it if you ever do find out. So he asks:
“Do you think you can keep a secret, Pigsy?”
Tumblr media
Red Son
He doesn’t know why he likes you. By all means, you’re just another peasant, another mortal working at the same noodle store that his arch-rival is. But there’s something different about you. Maybe it’s the way you never seem to flinch or cringe or even cower. Maybe it’s the cool head you keep. Maybe it’s the wide-eyed awe you stare at his creations with.
Even after you had been kidnapped.
“I thinks that it was very clever of you,” you softly admit, not fighting against your bonds. “The way you used the tri-toothed 1x2 plates. I don’t see many people use those.”
He shouldn’t be happy to hear you say that. He should scoff and huff and strike down your praise like it’s meaningless drivel. But it’s not. Not to him. He’s been waiting to hear something like that for a long time, actually. Now, if it only it had been from the mouth of his father…
He shakes himself from those thoughts. “Not that a PEASANT like you could ever comprehend just how truly clever my work is! In fact, the legs of this machine are held in place by a truly unique-” “Technic angular wheel,” you finish for him. “It was a smart choice. I bet finding one that could evenly bear the weight of four legs at once wasn’t easy.”
No… no, it hadn’t been. In fact, it had been very hard to source that component. But here you were… acknowledging him. Praising him. Giving weight to his accomplishments by recognizing them. Somewhere deep inside, he’s a little touched to have his efforts commended.
Not that your kindness inspires him to release you. The only thing that frees you is MK and Mei coming in and storming through, knocking him over the head and escaping with you in their clutch.
Still, he doesn’t… hate you, at least. Or maybe, he just hates you less now. It’s a surprisingly good start.
A start that you continue to build off of throughout your repeated interactions, to his surprise. Your praise wasn’t just a one-time thing, wasn’t a way to get him to drop his guard. It had been genuine, entirely sincere. You had truly thought of him as clever, and you still do.
His schemes become less destructive, but more frequent. MK starts sending you out to deal with him, and most of your “skirmishes” end without any true damage. The two of you talk tech, and then he “tactically retreats” from the fight. Eventually, he drops the act, just swinging by the noodle store to talk with you about mechs or vehicles or rare components and where to find them at reasonable prices.
It’s a strange sight for everyone, the two of you amicably chatting. Sometimes someone will try to butt in, usually MK, who tries to keep up with your conversations to no avail. Other times it’ll be Pigsy, making sure that one of his employees isn’t being threatened or endangered. If one of his new mechs has a Journey to the West inspiration, Tang will happily chime in on it.
But most often, it’s only the two of you, happily talking as equals. Not enemies. Not rivals. Just… actual friends, somehow.
Even if it meant fighting to defend them, these are the sorts of moments he doesn’t want to lose. He wants to protect these cherished hours he spends with you, sharing noodles and blueprints in the middle of a crowded but welcoming restaurant.
Even if it meant fighting a foe he had no chance of defeating. All he has to do is buy a little bit of time. Just enough for MK and his ragtag team of idiots and peasants to smash this osseous demon into pieces. He glares up at her, his hair and hands exploding into flame. It’s a mere display, a small threat to keep her occupied. If she focuses on him, then she can’t hurt you.
Not that she’s trying.
“Foolish child. Do you really think I can’t understand the game that you’re trying to play? You would stand in the way of a peaceful world, all in the name of protecting the heir of your enemy?”
He falls to the ground, clutching his head in pain as she taps into his mind to deliver her next words.
“But a meager resistance cannot hope to undo destiny. I will find Y/N, and add their power to my own. That is their destiny, and I will see it fulfilled.”
“You- you won’t! I wont allow it, you… you PEASANT! You can’t hope to beat all of us! The Demon Bull Family, Sun Wukong and his successor, and the Six-Eared Macaque! All of us will stand against you! If we stand together, there is no threat that can overcome us!”
It’s a little funny, almost. Once, he would’ve scoffed and mocked another for saying such a thing. They sound silly on his tongue, cheesy and overblown. It’s something more suited to MK and his band of goons, speeches of friendship and overcoming adversities together. But it’s true.
And her defeat is testament to the strength that loves brings.
He thinks he loves you. You’re what he imagines having a little sibling is like. He wonders if you could love yourself, if you knew the truth of your heritage. Maybe you could. Maybe you’d fall apart and refuse to trust yourself ever again.
He chats idly with MK as you rest your head on his lap. It brings a strange peace to his heart. You look almost happy, in spite of the bruises and cuts. You look happy, which is proof that you didn’t hear a word that the Lady Bone Demon said about your blood ties.
He doesn’t want to rob you of that happiness so quickly, not when you fought and bled for it.
He absentmindedly strokes your head, thinking of how he’d roast anyone who might try to harm so much as a single hair on it. He can’t let anyone hurt you. Not even himself.
So he keeps quiet, and prays that all will turn out well.

Hey Mac, we thought you were dead;
Sequel to this post on Macaque being back in the "Century Stone Egg Au".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the pregnant Monkey King breaks his shock, he'd run to embrace Macaque, even if he'd just been super close to clawing his eye out (again) and that they're last meeting was a huge fight. He only holds back because he's honestly a little scared/worried how and why Macaque is there. Wukong is immediately trying to apolgise for his violent reaction, but Macaque just laughes out; "Nah, it's my fault. Should've asked first." It's only with the shadow monkeys' breathy, almost *fond* laughter that Wukong realises that Mac is truly there for peace. Mac's interaction with PIF further confirms this.
The reincarnation gang + the dragon couple are super sketched out though. Pigsy is the one to loudly ask "How do you know it's him and not some weird copycat?", mostly cus he's legit worried for Wukong in this moment. Somebody's dead partner don't just show up one day!
Wukong responds with his Gold Vision + its hard to fake the way Mac smells. The gang still refuse to leave the two alone together until they recieve a decent explaination.
The fact that Macaque literally looks like he crawled out of the grave quickly gives everybody a bad feeling, and they def force Mac to sit down and explain how tf he came back to life before he's even allowed smell Wukong.
Macaque: "I may have agreed to do something... kinda stupid in hindsight." Wukong, : "Mac... look at me. What did you do?" Macaque: "...ok don't be mad." Wukong: "I'm preemptively seething." Macaque: "I accepted a deal from the White Bone Spirit." Wukong: "I'M FURIOUS!!!" *starts throwing whatever's closest at Mac* Macaque, dodges a pillow: "Pfff! Calm down, it's not like I'm actually gonna do it! She brought me back to life to release her from a tomb or something and I chucked the key away the second I got back." The whole Room: "..." Wukong: "Mihou... thats the stupidiest thing you could have done!" *summons hair clones to throw stuff at Mac* Macaque, now failing to dodge fruit: "OW! Why are you upset!? We both know nothing good will come of letting that demon free!" PIF: "Mihou, if this Bone Demon was able to bring you back from the dead, then she has the power to track you down and recind her offer." Macaque: "...so you're saying that I have to fufill her deal, or I might get dragged back to Diyu?" Wukong and PIF, at the same time: "YES!!!" Macaque: "Shit." The Whole Room: *covering Red and Mei's ears* "LANGUAGE!!" Tang: "You should work on that before the baby gets here.
Oh you better believe Mac's in the doghouse until they can figure out how to resolve the LBD business deal. PIF calls up her lawyer to go over the exact terms and conditions.
Fire Star: "Ok, I've got good news and bad news." Macaque: "Bad news first." Fire Star: "The Lady Bone Demon's geas is airtight. You will have to open her tomb *slash* free her spirit in order to keep your place in this mortal realm - less you be recalled at a later date for a task of similar value or until she makes you redundant." Pigsy: "Translate for the non-lawyers please." Fire Star: "Either he does it, or she makes him do it, or she just takes his soul." Macaque: "Shit." Wukong & PIF: *glaring daggers at Mac* Macaque: "So what's the good news?" Fire Star, slyly: "Those are the only conditions to the geas. There's a reason you need lawyers for these kind of things nowadays. She didn't stipulate say... where to release her. Or whom would be present to greet her when her tomb opens." Everyone: *shares similar delighted/scheming looks* (*a few hours + a few calls to a worried Nezha later*) Macaque: *unlocks LBD's tomb* LBD: "Freedom! Freedom! Fr-" All of Wukong's allies in the Heavenly Army + Diyu officials:
Tumblr media
LBD: "Oh bother."
As the Bone Demon gets carted away for conspiracy to destroy the world, she gets yelled at by all of the Underworld/Diyu officials that now have to deal with the fallout of her actions.
King Yama: "Do you understand how much paperwork I have to do to mark this monkey as alive!? He doesn't have a death date! It's been blotted out! I'll be correcting his files for months!!" Macaque: *high fives Fire Star for the solid lawyer-ing*
As far as Hell/Diyu is concerned, Macaque performed a service and was paid upfront. They don't want the headache of trying to take him back if his mate (someone who's trashed Hell before) wants to keep him.
Wukong is still super-mad at Mac for a variety of reasons, don't get hom wrong. But he's atleast glad in the moment to have his mate back. And glad that LBD is gone for the forseeable future.

Just found your account and I think I need to be feed these days👀
Anyways can I request Mk x LBD son reader? Like the reader got separate from LBD and he is pretty glad for it, he joined Mk and his friends, has a reunion with his mother, she also expose him about being her son
Mk and the reader were a couple 👀 oh btw, headcanon and any genre Ty for taking the request
-KW anon 🥝
Son of Ice and Spirits
Son of LBD!reader x MK fluff and angst headcanons, with hurt/comfort
《|| AN: I'm just assuming that the reader has some of the same powers as the Lady Bone Demon,such as ice manipulation and spooky spirit powers, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!! That being said, I had a blast writing this and I hope that you enjoy it!! ||》
Fluff
☆ MK is, quite literally,the sweetest guy you could've ever hoped to meet.
☆ When the two of you first met, he was so nervous about making a fool of himself that he could barely speak to you without stuttering or tripping over his words!
☆ It took a long time for him to act normally around you, let alone speak to you.
☆ I'm gonna go with the assumption that MK didn't even realize that you had any powers in the first place, so when you do eventually use them in front of him, his first reaction is "😦"
☆ It's even funnier coupled with the fact that he didn't even realize that you were not human. Like, at all.
☆ He is going to be embarrassed until the day he dies, even as you tell him that it's totally understandable and that you don't really go about telling people that you're a demon outright.
☆ When he finally does work up the courage to confess, it's entirely random and out of the blue.
☆ Still, it was very sweet and endearing (at least in your eyes), so the two of you have been dating ever since.
Angst
○ When you eventually do run into your mother again, it's not a happy family reunion in the slightest.
○ So. You know. It's not great.
○ Although you had known that she was defeated long ago, you had not known that her second in command was still out there.
○ To say your mother was...upset with you is an understatement.
○ Actually, if it weren't for your friends, she'd very likely would've taken you prisoner and forced you to aid in her endeavor to eradicate the mortal realm.
○ The only one who actually knew that the two of you were related at all was the six eared macaque, as he was technically still under your mother's thumb. Although everyone was shocked by the information, after you explained your own viewpoint of your mother's ideologies, they quickly understood.
○ Understandably however, Monkey king and Pigsy kept a much closer eye on you after the "Big Reveal" as you like to call it.
○ There wasn't really that much time to delve into your problems as you all where racing against the clock to save the world, but MK did manage to steal a few minutes for the two of you to talk. He wasn't even angry that you hadn't told him, he just wanted to know why that was the case.
○ You told him the truth. That your mother was...not the greatest person, and that she had forced you to do a lot of things that you hadn't wanted to. You told him that you had just wanted to help her and make her happy. And...he understood.
○ MK knows what it's like to want to help people, and make them happy at the cost of his own happiness. And he used to do that far too often with people who probably didn't deserve his time, so...yeah, he knows what it's like.
○ After the final confrontation and your mother's death, you felt...tired? You think? It certainly wasn't a good feeling, but not quite a bad one either.
○ Later on, you begin to identify the odd weight in your chest as relief. Relief that your mother no longer held any sway in your life or in others.
○ That relief turns to guilt, and guilt turns into grief. Your MOTHER is dead and yet you don't feel as bad as you thought that you should.
○ Thankfully, MK catches on.
○ He tells you to that it's alright that you don't feel bad. That sometimes, when someone hurts us badly enough, we start believing things that aren't true. That someone who loved us and raised us and hurt us, sometimes without meaning to, should be agonized over when they refused to better themselves. He told you that you didn't have to feel quite so bad because sometimes, we're better off without those people in our lives.
○ The lady bone demon was your mother,yes, but she hurt you. She hurt countless others as well. And although you still love her deep down, you figured that MK was right...that sometimes we are just better off.
○ And as the day begins anew and the city of Megapolis bustles to life, you can't help but feel just the tiniest bit better that you have your wonderful boyfriend at your side.

Hello, I wanted to ask you to describe Swap AU in full, I am from a Russian-speaking audience and it is very difficult for me to look for information wherever possible... could you simplify the mnp for me... please
That's a bit hard to explain but I'll do my best.
Swap AU is where Macaque and Mei take the place of Wukong and MK. Mei because Macaque's student and does what every hero in training does.
Through a series of events, Sun Wukong, in this AU the main antagonist of the story, gets released and starts to plot how to get revenge on those who trap him while also thinking of ways to manipulate Macaque into getting back with him.
After a few encounters and close calls, it's revealed that MK, a close friend of Mei, is in reality a clone of Wukong and his sole existence was to release the Monkey Tirant. The young teen gets abducted by his "father" and is brought to a remote location until Mei and her friends help him escape, taking with them the golden staff.
Pretty much every season has some similarities with the canon one, but the main changes are:
Spider Queen is only bad for a little while before she discovers that Wukong is the one who attacked her family, not Macaque. She gets rescued by Mei before LBD can take her and forms an alliance with the kid.
LBD is still the main villain for most of it, but only to gain favors from Wukong. The final battle ends with Sun Wukong killing LBD because she had double-crossed him
Mei does not have the Samashi fire. Red is the one with the fourth ring and he didn't know it.
Iron Fan and DBK are the main allies of Macaque and help the heroes often
Season 4 hasn't been introduced yet, but I am working on writing that.
If you want to look into more details of the AU, I suggest checking out the Masterpost I made for it

Hello, I'm a LMK fandom newbie, as in I stayed up until 5am binge-watching the show and hopped onto tumblr and ao3 for the fanart and fics before I finished S4 and got jumpscared by what I thought was spoilers only to proceed finishing the show and discovering those ideas are way too prevalent for them to end up...not in the show at all. So I'm wondering if there's like, some extra material I missed asides from the four seasons and specials, like. I would presume Macaque and Sun Wukong's backstory comes from The Actual Journey to the West the fandom decided to use because ain't nobody killing anybody here, JJK round two there for a minute and I was baffled...but I'm wondering where the other stuff comes from, there's so many characters I don't see in the show, I paused typing this for a minute to look up the origin of the Bai He stuff so I know that now lmao, but Princess Iron Fan and Macaque being siblings?? Ello? And I paused again while typing this because I was still baffled by the varying different "why did SWK kill MQ" takes that ain't no way that's all coming from a single story and apparently it was implied in S3 helloooooo 😭 fandom phenomenon of fanworks going so hard for no reason the expectations I built up on the final episode going "okay this is it, then I sleep, this has to be the one with the full flashback right...right?!" I think that's what fandom might've done with the side characters too lol.
Alright, so there’s a number of things to address here, but I will do my best to try and explain everything to the best of my ability-
So firstly, yes in JTTW, Sun Wukong kills Macaque, they weren’t sworn brothers or anything like that, they didn’t have any sort of relationship, Macaque swooped in, pretended to be Sun Wukong, fought Wukong a lot while literally everyone is trying to figure out who is the real one, but eventually Buddha exposes Macaque, and Wukong kills him. There is evidence to support that Wukong did kill Macaque in LMK as well, since in season 3 LBD says she brought Macaque back to the mortal realm, and Wukong and Macaque are shown to have fought, with Wukong coming out victorious, so it’s safe to assume yes, Wukong did kill Macaque in lmk as well, the reason behind why he did so is unknown currently, some people think it’s because Macaque attacked the gang in an attempt to save Wukong, but we don’t have a reason for it in the show, but I do hope we get one.
Regarding Princess Iron Fan and Macaque being siblings, that is just a headcanon the fandom made, at this point there’s nothing even implying such a thing in the show as far as I’m aware, I understand why you’d think that’s canon because when I first got into lmk, I thought that was true too. The lmk fandom does like to use characters that aren’t in show, but do appear in lmk Lego sets, such as Rumble and Savage, or characters from jttw, like Wukong’s four generals, Marshals Ma, Beng, Ba and Liu, for lmk fanfiction and au’s. Ultimately it does take some research to figure out what is actually canon, and what is just a fandom headcanon, a lot of side characters in lmk, like Jin and Yin, sadly don’t have a lot of chances to shine or do anything really noteworthy more than maybe once or twice, so we don’t get to really know too much about them, so we take what we can and add more to it, make our own interpretation and put our own spin on things.
I hope I was able to help clear up any confusion you might have, I’m sorry if I didn’t really help that much or if I missed anything or got something wrong, this is my first time being asked about something like this, but I hope that this helped, even just a little bit!

Hello again! I hope you don't mind. What's your opinion on Azure Lion, and the Brotherhood? You said they were a toxic group, can you explain how and why? I am very dense. Also have you watched the newest Monkey King movie? What do you think of it? Are there any part of JTTW or Sun Wukong's story you'd like to see be made into a movie that doesn't get much attention? Not LMK verse of course. I'd like to see Ao Lie, the White Dragon Horse's story get expanded on, especially when the group encounter the Dragon family during their journey. What about you? What's your opnion on LBD's host, or Bai He as the fans are calling her? Would you like an interaction between her and SWK? Have a good month!
ok imma save your brotherhood question for last because once i start with them and swk's relationship with them, i will not stop.
anyway,
no, i haven't seen the new Monkey King movie yet T^T i hope to see it soon when i have free time, but uni's began, so i will be busy with assignments T^T goodbye summer vacation :'(
as for what jttw story i'd like to see more of? hmmmmm, idk, though tbh i am very new with any jttw interpretation (my introduction to this story was through OSP, and after seeing the sun&moon poll i decided to check out lmk), so my personal information is still small compared to the people who grew up with the many stories and variations of Journey to the West and its characters.
however, i kind of wanna say Sha Wujing/Sandy? mostly because he does seem like an interesting character (2nd strongest out of the companions if i'm remembering right), and is fairly clever with his fighting (which might be why he gets along with swk a lot). idk, it would be fun to get some background on how he acquired his skull necklace (pretty sure they were enemies of his???? or something idk) and his own motivations for redemption, not to mention he does become a Bodhisattva just like swk and Tripitaka (pretty Pigsy/Zhu Baije doesn't???), so that would be fun to touch on!
moving on now....i actually do like how the fandom just adopted :BD's host and we all affectionately call her Bai He! it's sweet and i like that we all kind of want to see her own recovery of being possessed for like months (or a year idk lmk timeline is weird and funky and no i am not annoyed-) i am a big fan of the "Macky adopts previously possessed child out of solidarity but also she latched onto him first and wouldn't let go so he's kind of stuck with her now :)" it's very fanon but, eh, i'm a sucker for "reluctant dad to protect the smol" characters (prob another reason why i love Pigsy and swk so much lmao).
ALSO, i think her interactions with swk would be so funny (for me) and awkward (for swk) because she's like "thanks for saving the world and me!" and swk like "MHM! uh yeah, sure, np kiddo" bc he did almost kill her (tho he really did try to find a way to not do that) but also Bai He might not even be mad at him for that. (maybe i want her to attempt to befriend him, but swk is just so nervous and feeling a tad guilty so he avoids her but she's a persistent little fucker, maybe i want to a lot, sue me)
idk what her role is now in the show tbh. she could be sidelined now, and we only get cameos of her (s3 ending & s4 special) for the time being just showing her slow recovery (lmk has been doing a "minor/background character development happening behind the scenes" for awhile (DBK fam) so i wouldn't be surprised if we see that with her). but it's possible that she could grow to have some role in s5 or s6 (maybe she's got some leftover LBD powers bc post-possession symptoms, maybe Mr. Hoodie Man wants to use her too bc she was such a great host for LBD, maybe she saw something plot relevant while possessed concerning MK and wants to warn him or his friend??? WHO KNOWS???)
ok.....Brotherhood™️ what are my thoughts on them......
this post is already long as is, and i have class in 30 minutes, oh boy let's go >:3
sO, let try and summarize my thoughts of them before delving in: i think that narratively, the Brotherhood are a great way for establishing who Sun Wukong was pre-jttw as well as giving us access to his history with Macky (THANK FUCKING GOD I WAS SO DESPERATE FOR THEIR BACKSTORY).
the Brotherhood is also a great way to showcase MK's growing similarities with swk and the narrative parallels the two characters have for each other. we already knew swk was trying to mentor MK is a way that was different from how swk lived his life before because, we he's shown, he really does regret his past actions, and wants MK to be a better version, believes MK can be this better version of him. and you can see him trying, but also he fails to really explain WHY his teaching methods are slow and vague sooooooo, uh oh :)
anyway, character-wise.....the Brotherhood is written to be both sympathetic and dislikable. the sympathetic aspect comes with Azure and his Cause™️ because that shows you that "wait a minute...he really did want to do good, but lost sight of it and the harm he was doing along the way." you're supposed to sympathize with him, you're supposed to feel confused about his shaky relationship with swk because "Azure only wanted to do good, yet swk ruined it" <- this is some excellent unreliable narrator shit i love about this show btw
HOWEVER! Azure is not an archetype character (lmk doesn't really do archetypes. okay, they do, BUT it's more of deconstruction of the archetype than really using an archetype, you feel me?) he is a character who is deeply flawed. he is idealistic and vain (yes, yes he is vain bc have you seen this lion????) Azure built up swk on a pedestal of what a true role model king should look like (nevermind that swk's kingdom was on a island and his subjects were just monkeys, meaning his reign was fairly small compared to Heaven, therefore more manageable BUT I DIGRESS)
basically, Azure placed so much admiration and all his ideal onto swk, who was frankly a lot younger than the celestial lion being that he would have only recently met him post-Havoc & he was only about 500-600 years old by then (maybe????), and saw the monkey more as a perfect weapon to use to defeat the Jade Emperor and start a new, "more compassionate" era.
ok, and this is just me speaking, but, Azure, honey, if you really wanted to help restart Heaven into helping out the poor humans, instead of the very flawed bureaucracy you argued against.....maybe, don't continue on with a monarchy????? idk, maybe it's the Western influence talking but Azure, if you hate the celestial lords and emperor so much, maybe create a system that DOESN'T favor the lords and emperor????? break the whole system apart and create something new???? course you didn't think that far (which was eloquently shown in the special) so i'm honestly not surprised that your mission failed so many times
anyway, the dislikable aspect! Peng is a wonderful character for this section! so, when meeting Azure, you may come to a couple conclusions: wow a pretty lion! is he trustworthy? well, he seems to really want to help out.....damn he's got quite the silvertongue there, very convincing and great orator....you seem very upset about whatever swk did to you, huh? but meeting Peng you get: ooooh pretty bird man! oh, they're kind of a bitch, aren't they? yeah, still a bitch (and depending on the viewer, bitch can be affectionate or derogatory)
but yeah, so Peng, one of Azure's brother trio who worked with him in the Celestial Court and views him as the leader of the Brotherhood rather than swk (actually, none of the brotherhood members even consider swk their leader, except Azure and maybe Macky (but that might be bc Macky does not fucking care about the brotherhood member BUT swk) bc the rest view swk as their prized weapon)
Peng is really the character that starts to make you reconsider Azure's trustworthiness because my god is this bird the most condescending and bitchiest of friends. they are that toxic friend, okay? it was because of Peng that i clocked in "oh, ok, this is high school toxicity 101, got it" lol
anyway, Peng does not really seem to care that much for...the Cause™️ like Azure and Yellow Tusk do. rather, they seem to just stick around mostly because Azure and Yellow Tusk are their brothers and that's it. i guess props for staying loyal??? but still, Peng is the character that gives us the first crack into Azure's worthy crusade because their character will resort to violence first, turns on anyone who slightly disagrees with Azure's methods (*cough cough* Mac *cough cough*) or, hm, let's say....surrenders to the Jade Emperor, is missing for 500 years, then miraculously is freed and is working with a Buddhist monk?
so yeah, uh running out of time but to sum up: Azure and the brotherhood were never really "friends" they were colleagues who though they all had a common goal to defeat Heaven but their loyalty was built on ideals and pedestals and flaky attitudes which was why Mac was never comfortable around them, why DBK stopped interacting with them after the war, and WHY swk was so easily pointed as a traitor and a villain by the Camelhead Trio.
*jazz hands* and there you go, i would say more but i have class!

okayh okay HI you said you wanted to know about the freedom/passion dichotomy thing? ive got the graph and i am going to do my best to explain this to you despite me barely having a grasp of it on myself. THIS IS VERY LONG IM SORRY.
so the first thing you need to know is this just started as a way to split my ocs and help me make character arcs and motivations, and it became a little bit of a habit to categorize my favorite characters this way as well. its is in no means a perfect dichotomy, and im constantly looking for ways to refine it, but for now the best way ive found to illustrate it is this:
Tumblr media
basically its which think they represent most... or what they value the most? idk its kind of a case-by-case basis and is dictated by Vibe. like I said THIS IS VERY FLAWED so bare with me pls
when i first started watching lmk i sorted all of the characters i knew into either category. this was within the first four/five days are watching so some of it might be.. off? but i think its still worth something as my first impression of the characters, and it'll probably help illustrate what i mean
Wukong -> Freedom Macaque -> Passion Wukong and Macaque have this thing where one has too much freedom and is learning to temper that with passion (wukong) and the other has too MUCH emotion and is trying everything he can to gain true freedom (macaque) (this is true even when he isn't under LBD's control but is esp prevalent then). they each value the opposite thing they stand for and are trying to be more like the other, without even realizing it. MK -> Freedom Dont get me wrong! He very much has passion! He holds a lot of emotion in that body! but a lot of that passion is the passion for freedom. he just wants to be able to be himself and hang out with his friends, he doesn't do well with all this responsibility :C Mei -> Passion Does this need defending? High sense of duty (mainly towards her ancestors and her friends), and so incredibly passionate. and impulsive. She spits fire when angry! Nothing more to be said honestly. Red Son -> Passion Is a really good parallel to Mei, has too much passion to fit in his body. [In the original notes, I noted that he was 'scared of true freedom, but doesn't know that yet. I'm pretty sure this references his relationship to his parents? Smth smth he's too scared of making them angry so he doesn't explore who he is outside of his relation and loyalty to them?] Pigsy -> Passion this man doesn't need freedom when he as his passion for food. what does he need to be free from? he has everything he wants HEART EMOJI! Tang -> ...Its complicated The thing with tang is that he kind of gets like a character arc with like. Responsibility and his care for his friends? He goes from low passion/high freedom to low freedom/high passion over the course of the show. please note that i am insane about him and if i really wanted i could write a whole essay about him. Sandy -> ??? ONCE AGAIN ITS WEIRD. I WISH THE SHOW FOCUSED MORE ON HIS CHARACTER AND BACKSTORY BC I CANT GET A READ ON HIM.
okay thats the main cast, and HERES THE ALIGNMENT CHART ACCORDING TO THAT. WITH OTHERS AS WELL.
Tumblr media
theres not a lot of people without any value of freedom and passion at the same time so the grey area is pretty empty LMAO.
ANYWAYS. I BROUGHT THIS UP TO BEGIN WITH BECAUSE OF THE CHARACTERS WITH EYE SCARS TRIFECTA!!! Basically i see them all of how i described macaque earlier. He's trapped in a situation that he doesn't want to be in, whether it be LBD's control or his situation wiht wukong or his own creepy and standoffish persona/his trust issues making it hard to make real connections with others.
(in contrast wukong loves doing his own thing and just Hanging Out and never stopping his own momentum, but he also has trouble caring about... a lot of things actually. he's just soo easygoing! responsibility harshes his vibe!)
But anyways, macaque's problems are very similar to quackity and tempest's, i feel. Quackity constantly feels trapped by physical threats like techno or dream, and also his own circumstances and trauma (a lot of it from schlatt and manburg). a lot of his actions are him trying to reclaim the freedom he used to feel when he was younger. tempest felt she couldn't be truly herself without her horn, but in trying to get it she got herself in a really bad situation where any wrong move could get her killed.
The passion part comes in play in different ways for them all. Quackity tried not to care about people for a while, but still can never stop being extremely loyal and protective of his friends. Tempest had lots of rage inside her and was so intensely driven to get to her goal. And Macaque canNOT stop obsessing over wukong honestly. All three of them are very passionate, and all three of them are constantly trying to gain more freedom.
This is a super long ask, but thank you for inviting me to ramble about this lmao. I think everyone represents freedom or passion in their own way, and this dichotomy really only matters for characters BUT I THINK ITS FUN. THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TEDTALK!!!!!
i had a whole Thing written out and i was so proud of it and then my phone decided to delete it before i could post and not save as draft. but yeah im putting this chart in the microwave and then eating it and then putting it in the fridge so i can keep it overnight and microwave and eat it again. this is so fucking Good. in their attempts for freedom macaque cquack and tempest all disown the people they were when they Were free, bc they want to be unbound entirely, but they Feel too deeply for that to ever be a possibility for them. so they do the next best thing and try to pass those "lessons" they've learned on to others OUGH it makes me sick!!!

Oh my god lbd, how does that arc go?? Is it going to be mk that gets turned into lbd's puppet or is it going to be so different because of the changes?
AH AHAHAHAHA AHHAH A YOU ARE IN FOR A RIDE.
This is how season 3 roughly goes!
Wukong just let both Macaque and MK believe that he's dead while the others still think he was alive (keep this in mind)
By the end of season 2 when LBD takes over, Wukong possesses MK for a bit in order to land them on Sandy's airship.
Pigsy was ready to dish it out on Monkey King only to watch as he bursts into golden smoke and MK was suddenly falling into his arms.
So MK had no choice but to explained what happened to Wukong, that he has been a ghost this whole time, and that there was no way they can defeat LBD without a Monkey King.
Wukong then tells them about the Samadhi fire and tells them to go to the celestial to get the map from Nezha.
Wukong had MK go and convince him, but it went south and Wukong was forced to intervene... again. And just like before, he took the map but it took all of his power and he's been quiet for the first few days of their journey, but one thing remains, the got the map.
Season 3 goes the same with alterations since Wukong's not there.
The Dragon of the East episode episode goes different because Monkey King isn't there so Mei's great whatever uncle is a little bit more hospitable, but he was still hostile when the rings of samadhi are mentioned.
Them getting the first ring from DBK goes the same way as well but with Wukong's amazing commentary, and they dragged Red Son with them after Wukong confesses that the fourth ring was in Mei.
They had a long talk about that. There was no reason for Wukong to hide that fact since he doesn't have a physical body to put the samadhi fire into, so they planned for Mei to train with it in the first place.
Amnesia rules doesn't happen unfortunately, but Pigsy and Tang had a talk with the scorpion demon and stuff so that's fun.
It's just episodes without him in it but he still helps MK train and stuff.
Then Macaque catches up to them
And then Nezha.
MK manage convince Nezha to stop and he deals with Macaque while they start the ritual and it was a success with Macaque getting out of LBD's control as a bonus.
Unfortunately, LBD had other tricks in her sleeves.
Macaque knows the location of Wukong's statue.
And she now knows where it is as well.
Macaque thinks it was a little tribute, a little gravestone for Wukong since he assumed that he died and the Wukong with MK is just a fragment of the real him (nope, ghost wukong is the real deal). He visits the place since it's the only place that had Wukong in it. Since he was stone for 500 years, no one knows about Monkey King, they all think he's a myth and Macaque thought that the statue was just that, a statue to remind people of the great sage.
But nope!
It's Wukong
And LBD is going to free him.
Notice how the statue still has the golden circlet?
It's a back up plan in case Monkey King was set free. Whoever frees him can control the great sage the same way Tang San Zang was able to.
Mei's training was turning out well but LBD's control is spreading like wild fire.
Macaque and Wukong trained MK during all of that, the two monkeys were actually slowly starting to make amends. But then Nezha came back with news.
LBD found Wukong's statue.
Nezha knew what would happen, but the other two don't. He still rushes them and tells them they need to look for it now or the tide will turn against them. Macaque already knew where it was so he portalled them all over there.
LBD taunts them and touches the circlet.
The statue cracks with gold and Wukong emerges, but when he opens his eyes it wasn't gold... but cold icy blue, the circlet gleamed.
In MK's vision his mentor was being dragged into the statue by blue chains. He was horrified.
And Macaque heard Wukong's screams.
So yeah, Wukong's still possessed in the end.
But it turns out more horrifying and emotional

This was a flop. This one-
Tumblr media
-is much better.
One of her side projects that is currently sitting nearly 3-4 yards away from her main house (linked above) is a recreated, functional building that was the scene for one of Jia's favorite jobs; School Teacher. She loved teaching & shaping young minds to be the better generation with each passing batch of students. If adolescents & adults of all stages wished to learn but were never given the opportunity/resources to do so, she gladly held classes for all stages of life with individually tailored classes for each group.
Sadly, she had to leave that life due to demonic interventions which left her to tearfully flee her self-built academic temple (her joke name for the one-room schoolhouse with pillows as seats & crates for desks) (sewn/collected by Jia), with only her sketchbook & few scholastic scrolls that were only slightly burnt/damaged cradled in her arms as she dropped her human-shaped glamour in favor of her far more mobile monkey form.
She does the same thing with her recreated building but with everyone who wishes for a better education or even starting their education as a whole but can't due to certain circumstances. Be them, humans, demons, or human-demon hybrids of varying ages & sizes, Jia happily jumps to the task of reviving her best & most cherished job. Obviously, humans were scheduled for daytime classes, demons for nighttime, & hybrids are given the choice of attending their classes between day & night. Most pick day as there are few humans & those do not seem all too earnests on causing trouble or harm for the hybrids. Even if they or others did, so long as they populated her few acres of land &/or her school, Jia would correct them almost immediately.
Jia did not steal the scrolls but wrote down all she learned in her years outside of her frosty upbringing. She likely learned her academic skills from asking for educational materials as rewards for her successful missions (which were numerous) thus granting more materials as time passed adding to her voracious intellectual appetite. LBD & General/Chief did not know her depth of intelligence even after The Confrontation. Like SWK, she played/plays dumb to ease suspicious folks off her tail.
I am currently juggling the idea of her only teaching while partially keeping her shop like a proper shop keeper or part timing as a teacher & the schoolhouse becoming the bottom 1/3 of her home whith the store to its left & her home set on top with a patio space that acts like a sort of fenced-in porch with a ladder/staircase behind the front counter leading to said "porch" via a trap door or an enclosed door like in big cities.
Here's a rough profile plan for such an idea:
Tumblr media
I'll probably make out a floorplan for each segmant & try to explain items or hobbies each segment has. A 3D view may follow that if I can figure out how perspective works.
Tumblr media
Have a nice day/night! :)

Hello there
Im droppin in you ask box to ask questions about Hanahaki wukong au and some ideas that i had
So does it afect his powers and mayby his behavior or do they stay the same? Or like each time they incounter macaque does it start hurting more or less? Also how do others react to wukong having hanahaki? Will they know why?
And the idea so i myself have this hc that the reason swk left macaque was some what of similar to why he left after mei got the fire and left like maybe at one of the fights the two were at macaque ends up geting badly hurt and wukong realises that macaque could have died just bc he wamted to protect him and then tells macaque that its better if they split up so that mac wouldn't get hurt . But macaque didn't see it as an act of consern and thout wukong thinks that he is weak and then they start fighting at some point the fight becomes physical and then swk almost kills him but then realises what hes doing and steps back and just leaves leaveing macaque to think that wukong lookes down on him and stuff. If you want you can use it
I just for some reason live the idea and want to see how you go with it.
Okay, to start off, thank you so much for reaching out with this ask!!! I am so excited to have people ask me stuff :D!!!
Now, back to business. When I was thinking about this concept I didn't really think much about Wukong himself would change on the surface. Kind of the only difference attitude wise that I was thinking would him being a little more subdued and a little quieter.
Not alarmingly so, just a smidgen. His power would basically be unaffected by it unless he's around Mac, because then it gets harder to suppress the coughing and plants taking root in his lungs.
Basically, if he's around Mac for long periods of time, or kind of lingering on his feelings for him, then his magic has to work harder to try and suppress the hanahaki, making him get drained easier. Again, no drastic differences, but subtle stuff.
You know I gotta keep it subtle to build up to that big dramatic reveal 😂.
As for others, I gotta do a little deep dive into my brain to explain the vibe for this. For this au, I feel like Wukong wouldn't immediately realize that he has hanahaki. Like he legit went like 200 years or something occasionally hacking up flower petals whenever he though of Mac and just kind of went with it/ignored it.
Aaayyyyy, procrastination king
He probably didn't even notice it for a while since his magic was subconsciously full body tackling it. I lowkey feel like he wouldn't really realize what's wrong with him until MK first meets Mac. He sensed his essence or whatever the fuck they do and the hanahaki flared up for the first time in like a century.
After MK left he probably collapsed in a heap as coughs ripped through his throat dragging a fist full of bloody flower petals up his throat. Leaving him confused, scared, and a smidgen concerned.
At that moment he realizes what he has and immediately starts doing everything he can to hide it from everyone. So others probably wouldn't even know. At least not until SWK gets body snatched by LBD. She would probably use it to try and gain leverage in a fight.
Most of the gang would be confused as to what hanahaki is, except Mac and Tang. They know and are very concerned. Mac is very confused because, wtf do you mean SWK has a deadly disease for unrequited love??? How?? When did he fall in lo- IT'S FOR ME?????
Like I said. Dramatic reveals. Ooooooh, but what if no one but Mac knew what it waaassss. If that were the case, then the team would be confused and concerned but probably forget about it during the fight.
I'll have to think more about the reveal and reactions.
Your headcanon is beautiful 😍 That is a very Wukong thing to do. He would spend so long feeling so bad and making it worse by pushing Mac away 🥲 I'm pretty sure that's what actually happened between them. Just some big dumb misunderstanding because they are bad at feelings.
Sorry for the really long response, I get very excited when people ask me stuff

Sun & Wukong [Sun Wukong]
Okay, this is going to be a little confusing, but I'll try to explain it as best I can. Are you aware of what the conscience and the subconscious are? Because I'm using part of that for what Sun & Wukong are.
Sun is the troubled and liberal Monkey King. It's the inner and repressed desires, it's like the subconscious, he has it hidden and chained, because Monkey King had put aside all those impulses and own desires out of the right path.
Sun is the selfish desires, a burning sun that wants to burn everything in its path and will never let it be tamed. But Sun is not necessarily evil, he's just a Monkey King who wants to be free and happy (without letting them stop him). It's his impulses.
Wukong, on the other hand, was something like Monkey King's conscience. He is the monkey that Tripitaka knows, the monkey who had redeemed himself and was now better, the one seen throughout the series, totally upright and righteous.
But of course, he has trouble dealing with problems and prefers to avoid talks, because he knows that wishing for something is too much for someone like him, it is best that he takes care to always do the right thing.
But Sun does wish he had what he lost. Wukong was holding Sun, but as soon as LBD took care of Wukong, the only thing she did was to release Sun.
So it's LBD's fault!

Bai He in the Slow Boiled Au:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some previous Slow Boiled posts including Bai He.
Bai He has her own personal demons to combat after the events of S3, and Wukong ultimately wants to be there to help her. It's not every day a mortal child just possessed by an ancient demon like that.
Wukong does geniunely hesistate when he realises that LBD's body was merely a host, if he had truly wanted, he would have snapped her neck then and there. But the knowledge that the little girl forced to harbour the demoness could still be saved makes him pause.
And ofc in the Slow Boiled au when Bai He is released from LBD's control, Macaque (realising that she's just a host), leaps to catch her as in canon. He now understands why Wukong let his guard down enough to get possessed in his own right.
Tumblr media
Macaque is also the first one to notice that Bai He isn't ok after she's been freed. He can hear every nervous twitch she makes when the others talk to her. He still has trouble fathoming how this petite, scared, cub could have the same face as the witch who tormented them both.
Macaque is still getting used to his more parental side, so he brings Bai He to Wukong for cuddles and hair grooming - mostly out of instinct.
Bai He is terrified of Wukong in the immediate aftermath of S3, because not only is this monkey pretty much a God, but one well known for slaying demons! And now she still holds some of LBD's power!?
Wukong tries his best to calm the human cub as much as possible, explaining that he really hasn't been much of a threat since he sealed away DBK. He's been relying on his troupe of friends ever since he met MK.
But the little girl isn't 100% conviced deep down. After all, she's surrounded by gods and demons and dragons (and mr Tang).
But when Mr Macaque approaches her alongside the rest of the adults, and offers that she could stay with the gang if she has no where else to go, then Bai He starts to get comfortable.
She's a little afraid of Yuebei at first... but it's hard to be afraid of a baby monkey cute enough to make the bodhisattva themselves cry!
Also yeah. Bai He now knows gods. Heaven just has to put up with the fact that this little mortal human child is a presence in their pathos. She just has the ability to charm herself to powerful beings. She has run up to many a celestial tiger or hound and started petting them as though they were housepets needing affection. Erlang's loyal hound even wags her tail at the sight of the adopted Monkey Princess. :3

I finally have an explanation for Bai He.
So, like, I know I made the change that, LBD kinda reincarnated into her.
But her being LBD’s reincarnation doesn’t explain how she can lift the staff.
That’s when I made this decision, so LBD, stole a whole chunk of MK’s powers, to the point where MK can’t even access them anymore and can only access LBD’s powers, then, she forcibly reincarnated herself, because she tore a part of her soul in order to make sure MK doesn’t regain his powers, and in turn, used a special kind of reincarnation, one where she can manipulate what she’ll be in her next life.
She manipulated her reincarnation to be a human in the next life, and used that reincarnation to hold MK’s powers her soul would be combined with the power, but just like what her soul did to MK, MK’s powers were strong enough to contain any knowledge of LBD, causing Bai He to have MK’s powers and not LBD’s.
Another thing about this AU is that I saw a theory that MK has the power to ‘Defy Destiny’ (albeit it’s an edit on TikTok) and so I incorporated that into the AU, MK does have that kind of power, which is why LBD made it so MK couldn’t access his powers anymore, by MK only being secluded to LBD’s powers his ability to ‘defy destiny’ becomes slightly diminished. He can still change things, but at some point history is going to repeat the way destiny wants it to be.

Appears from the ground, crawling on your until I get face to face
I heard Hollow Knight Wukong.
Explain.
SO
when brain rot originally sent out the post wanting to collab on an au a few weeks back, i suggested making a hollow knight au, and ive recently done more thinking about it i decided that wukong would be thk, as wukong does canonically get possessed in the show and. cmon. mothra lbd. do i even need to explain? she's the only vindictive bitch that would canonically fit the role of course, this means i may end up having to make whoever the fuck fills joni's role be orange but eh, whatever, i dont feel like orange-ifying lbd then i had a bit of trouble deciding who would be the knight, as mk is the main character of lmk, but macaque... well let's just say that it would make a LOT of sense if macaque was the emotionless chaos bastard we know and love. however, i ended up going with mk because of main character correlation and i also like the idea of a more bastardous mk in general- most of the mk content i see is him still being a wholesome good guy and while i enjoy the fluff GIVE ME THE LITTLE SHIT AUS. I WANNA SEE THE ONES WHERE MK'S THE BAD GUY, OR INSANE, OR JUST WANTS TO STIR UP TROUBLE, I NEED MORE OF THAT so, of course, if mk is the knight, the only role macaque could logically fill is hornet. half spider, half god. princess of the kingdom. not only do i get awooga mac titties, but mac's still sibling to wukong like this (as while i enjoy some good shadowpeach content, im fairly sure that the show's canon is going to have them as brothers). just, instead of being the only non-failed vessel, she DOES have emotions- a lot of them. and she wants to save her sibling, even though her first duty is to this dying kingdom as the only other one possessing royal blood, despite the queen still living in her garden. of course, this does present... some logistical difficulties. it means that, as it stands, whoever is the pale king fathered mac, wukong, mk, and all the other vessels (including whoever ends up being the broken vessel), the white lady mothered all of those people except for mac, who was mothered by herrah the beast (im leaning towards spider queen for her, but im not too sure yet). it also presents difficulties for silksong's canon to this au buuuuuuuuuut we'll cross that bridge when we get there i don't really have much else figured out, rn im using hollow knight as bone broth and throwing in lmk as veggies to make stew and the meat, which runs the show, is made up of crack because lord knows that's what happened to the fandom when trying to draw interactions between those three (ie ghost committing shade skip to reach the cookie jar, hollow becoming a christmas tree, and hornet being the one that has to keep these two idiots in line), but i will figure out more! ... eventually im more than willing to accept help on placing people because brain does not want to think hard yet

For the entire title of the animated series, I was hooked on how my favorite characters are Mei, Red Son, Princess Iron Fan and Lady Bone Demon.
I can explain this by the fact that they stand out for their charisma, bright character and the fact that they are more or less worked out. So we know who they are
May is a child who grew up in a strict family, that's why she is so joyful in life and loves adventures. Just enjoying life. And she is more serious about some things, although at first glance it does not seem. Mei is a person that lives and enjoys life.
The Red Son tries to please his parents in every way, and he himself does not want power or something like that, different from his father. He is content with the time spent with his father and mother. He is restrained, although he is quick-tempered. And as we have seen, he is deoal and does everything for his family. He is not a hero or a villain, he is just a son who wants love from his parents and to be proud of him.
The roles of Princess Iron Fan and Lady Bone Demon are already clear to everyone. Princess Fan is a strict and loving wife who loves her son, although she shows little of it. She has her own image of a strong and intimidating girl. And LKD Is an antagonist that used to be a hero, kind. She can also be considered a reflection of MK, who decided to save the world, not the best way, but she is not evil.
The rest are also good in their development, but it was the four of them that hooked me.
And then I noticed that you are very passionate about Mamak and that girl (Sometimes Wukong and MK flash by). What did they hook you with?
Oh wow, well. Macaque is the reason why I got into LMK and uh, I think I just enjoy the idea of a found family trope? And when Macaque sprinted head first to catch the girl after LBD unpossessed her, I just went- "wow, that's wholesome" not to mention the worried look he gave her when he gently laid her down, just- UGH
In summary, I like Macaque, he has a potential father-daughter dynamic with the girl, and boom, I'm hooked.
