This season of Helluva Boss so far has been all about reckoning with the past. Every episode so far except maybe Western Energy has dealt with some aspect of it.

The Circus is an entire backstory episode about how Stolas and Blitzø met and became fixtures in each other's lives as we knew them in the first episode.

Seeing Stars has background concerning Stolas and Blitzø's relationship with their daughters.

Exs and Oohs is all about Moxxie and his past with his family/ex and even how he and Blitzø met.

I don't think there's really anything concerning the past with Western Energy unless we're counting the return of Striker as a presence of the recent past of the show.

Unhappy Campers gives us our first appearance of Barbie Wire, Blitzø's sister. And we see how she wants nothing to do with him and has a lot of anger towards him.

Oops gives us the story of how Fizzorolli and Blitzø broke apart from each other.

Mammons Magnificent Musical Mid season Special gives some backstory on Fizz's relationship with Mammon and fame itself.

A lot of us has speculated that Apology Tour is going to deal with Blitzø's relationship with Verosika.

So I am going to speculate that Full Moon is going to include a flashback or maybe multiple moments with Blitzø and Stolas that we haven't seen before that add more dimension to their relationships. In my mind that means more moments like in Seeing Stars where they'rye interactions are like when they're not having sex. Or maybe we'll see moments from different full moons they've spent together and how their relationship has progressed over that time.

I have been calling this the backstory season in my head for a bit and I just wanted an excuse to talk about that a bit. This has been such a prevalent theme throughout the entire season and it is really fascinating to think about.

Do you think we're gonna get any flashbacks during the full moon episode.

It's so fun to dissect a character and why they do what they do etc, etc, and I was just thinking about the difference between Jade and Elora, and I just think it's so interesting, because both of them are (or were) in love with members of the royal family (Elora with Airk and Jade with Kit), but they both reacted to it so differently. They're both orphans, with no real place to call home other than the home/job that Sorsha gave them, and so they would both understand their rank and where they should stand in regards to the royals.

Jade keeps it to herself, tells herself that she can never have Kit because Kit's a princess and Jade's just, well, Jade is nobody. She never makes the first move, never initiates physical contact, and constantly holds herself back from her true feelings.

But Elora, despite calling herself a nobody when Graydon asks her if she really is Elora Danon, does not treat herself as a nobody. She genuinely believes that love is the strongest power in the universe. She seems to believe that her love for Airk, a royal, is stronger than any rules or expectations. She not only initiates physical contact, but she also does it in public. She's the one who tells Airk she loves him. Jade doesn't even say anything about being in love with Kit until after Kit says something.

And yes, Kit is expected to marry to strengthen the throne and nothing is really expected of Airk, and I'm sure that affects the way that Jade and Elora feel about their loves, but still.

Sunset Theory

In Sunset Part 11 there's this big argument involving Four, Wind and Legend regarding whether or not Twilight is likely to be corrupted by what happened to him. Four's argument is that you can't predict what shadow magic will do and it's always bad, no matter what. Legend's argument is that it's fine as long as you have light magic to cancel it out. Wind is in an argument that is both completely separate and yet the same about how the dark magic could lead to a puppet situation.

So how about I throw in my two cents? They're all right?

The shadow magic in Twilight is condensed into his crystal, right? When he changes, he lets the twilight crystal essentially cover his form and transform him with shadow magic, but only himself. Nothing besides him and his possessions is affected. He can be carrying Four and change and it doesn't affect Four at all. So, when he changes back, all the shadow magic returns to the crystal, right?

Now, the Master Sword, when it is used, it essentially banishes the shadow magic, but not for good. As we all know, it did nothing to purify the crystal, since Twilight can still change back and forth at will. This means it's likely that the Master Sword has banished all darkness, both the transformation magic and whatever the Shadow did to Twilight, into the crystal.

My theory then is that, while Twilight is still having trouble being healed, he can be healed, and he'll be fine. Like Legend and Sky said, the Master Sword purified him. However, I also believe that Four and Wind's concerns are equally valid. The reason Twilight is purified is because the curse placed on him is now held within his crystal, so it wont be until either he or someone else next uses it that the curse will enact itself, potentially corrupting or possessing the user while they are in their shadow form.

More and more I've been thinking of commissioning new designs for RWBYJNPR, as I wanna do stuff with them separate from vol 3 and beyond while still showing they've grown, but at the same time, I wanna avoid making dumb design choices myself. I suppose to make this into an actual question, are there any fan designs you especially like? Anything you'd love to see more?

There are! In fact I've commissioned several Pyrrha designs myself, and if you're interested I def recommend you do so as well as it's very cool to work with an artist to see your ideas come to life. You can always get opinions from friends, other fans, and of course the artist if you're worried about making bad choices, but at the end of the day it's something for you, that you like so just have fun with it!

As for ones I particularly like, I'm quite fond of many of the After ONE designs, Sunnypoppy's Cinder, Fenixjys' Ciel and Penny, Anris Resurrection's team RWBY designs, kaleidoarms' RWBY and JNPR designs, Pyrrha designs from Lulu-chan, Euniysu, Rain-shade, y8ay8a, Keith Montalbo, Advarcher, Aleiah-Art, and Papillon Studio (Weiss too!). There are also some of a few characters that I've seen in a discord from friends but that aren't posted anywhere afaik, so I can't really share them.

When it comes to what I'd like to see more of, well, Pyrrha is always there. Whether we're talking AUs, post-Beacon designs, casual clothes, cosplay, or whatever, I always love to see Pyrrha in new things. Aside from that I just like redesigns in general I guess? But we def don't have enough of some of the less-central characters. New designs for Ciel, Arslan (and the rest of her team for that matter!), Neptune, Sienna (even if she has an awesome design already), Neon, Flynt, Hazel, the Ace-Ops, the Happy Huntresses, and the like would be awesome!
