It’s somehow fitting that it took me so long to make a sideblog. Hi - I’m Fen. I’m the current primary host of the Quilted System. I’m not the System’s first host. And I don’t think I’ll be the last.

I’m starting a sideblog because a lot of my identity is tied up in my role as the host. I feel like the shell that other headmates put on when they’re fronting. Like I’m a character to be cosplayed for safety. I struggle to identify what things I actually like. What my hobbies and interests are. And I’m hoping this space will help me keep a record of figuring this out as I go along.

The only things I really think I know about myself is that I have a special interest in parenting, which I’m learning to use to help parent our SysKids (we use this term instead of Littles because we have adults who age regress in the system as well). I’m also a trauma holder for the system’s fight against cancer and subsequent infertility. I know those also play into my “roles,” but I have to start somewhere, right?

Oh. I like Cottagecore, too.
