Is Dick's tendency for self-destructive habits really as bad as some fics make it out to be?
oh interesting!! In some way, yes actually.
Tumblr media
Batman (2016) Issue #689
Dick and Alfred!! The duo make me so happy <33
But anyway, it's weird that someone who's so effusive with his affection so often and readily "deflects a moment of genuine emotion." Which is also one of the reasons why Dick Grayson as a character is so fascinating because he's never what people expect him to be. He's like a puzzle box where every time you think you solved, you just opened yourself up to a hard, even more complex one wherein the process repeats on an endless cycle.
He's incredibly self-destructive in the way he drive a burning car off a bridge and he'll know it's on fire, he knows where he's going, but he'll do it anyway because the car has a bomb and it's safer with him than the civilians behind him.
You know what? I just realized he deflects intimate conversations because he wants to keep the focus on the other person. Since he was Robin, Dick has been purposefully neglecting his feelings in order to take care of Bruce's. Right after his parents died, he bottled up his sadness and sorrow because he was worried that Bruce would blame himself and he didn't want Bruce to do that.
It's always been "Tell me what's wrong, Bruce." He's been so busy raising his guardian, his friends, his siblings, his teammates, that Dick has sunk into the role of a performer - the spotlight's on him but the audience is the focus.
I didn't realize until writing this ask but self-destruction is just such a normal thing with him that it's become a part of his personality. In fics it's very obvious when he's being self-destructive or neglecting himself or etc because he's very aware of it but Dick in canon has just made it his thing. It's actually the Titans that realize this and yank him out of it because Dick has no idea what he does to himself.
Tumblr media
The New Teen Titans (1980) Issue #28
Tumblr media
The New Teen Titans (1980) Issue #28
He's not self-destructive in a way that he's conscious of it but his habits and his lifestyle don't really give him a choice. He literally works himself sick.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Titans (1999) Issue #9
"Maybe it's too much. Dick --have you considered that? You're working Bludhaven, even joining their force, you still clearly intend to come here to Gotham every time he calls you -- working so hard you're making yourself sick,"
"No. It's not the newness that's the problem."
People are literally telling him to calm down and he's like 'No! I'm perfectly okay. This is fine, let's continue.'
And this isn't even going into when Blockbuster blew up his life and Dick kinda lost himself to hunt him down and make him pay. People understand that Desmond burnt down the circus but Dick was still connected to the people in that circus, like he used his contacts there to sometimes inquire about things going on Bludhaven. The people at the circus raised him along with his parents so killing them was like killing Dick's aunts and uncles and friends and childhood. What happened then and after the SA was catastrophic. To Dick self-destruction has just become a part of him because he aims for perfection in every aspect of his life.
Like Donna said, "He works with the Titans, on his own, goes to school, and then he works alongside Batman..." and so on. Usually people struggle to maintain even one area of their life like just school or family but Dick's juggling, his work, his family, his friends, his relationship, his teams, and is still on call for Justice League incidents.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Titans (2003) Issue #6
He literally dropped everything to come over and break up the Titans (OF WHICH HE IS NOT EVEN A PART OF RIGHT NOW BECAUSE HE'S IN THE MIDDLE OF DEALING WITH THE OUTSIDERS) and the Justice League full on fighting.
He's not self-destructive in the way he doesn't want to get out of bed or that he isn't clean, it's just that Dick Grayson is a machine. He's got ice in his veins and he just powers through everything. Everything he does has to be top notch, so sleep and social life and happiness can say goodbye because he's too busy for that. This is why the Titans are so important to him and for him because they realize this toxic trait of his and do their absolute best to yank him out of this bad habit because Dick certainly can't stop.
So self-destruction has become part of his personality but unlike in fics, it's conducive self-destruction. It comes from his refusal to feel any emotion that isn't for others because Big Brother Dick Grayson and Best Friend Dick Grayson are always there for everyone but the second he's asked to help himself or someone tries to help him, he flakes. He's the best at helping others and being there for them but he's allergic to getting help or talking about himself.

Leona in his Uncle arc because I can and will
── ୨୧:leona kingscholar & reader
୨୧﹑synopsis :: Leona being the cool Uncle.png mostly just fluff hcs of him caring for them more than he will admit it's kinda scatterbrained because same
୨୧﹑genre :: fluff
୨୧﹑content :: (implied) child reader, it's just platonic fluff tbh
୨୧﹑words :: 724
well here we go ig turns out the first everything I write for a fandom is Uncle hcs 🤨 shoutout to my Uncle ig? where did this phenomenon come from (゚▽゚*) anyway Leona seems like he'd play bite baby's lil lion ears when they're misbehaving to scare them like an "I'm gonna call the boogeyman" type thing 😭✋ I rest my case
Tumblr media
when you were young enough to have to crawl around the floor Leona found watching you to be much easier to some extent, though he did not appreciate having his hair pulled on and chewed and is still weary every time you try to grab his hair.
thankfully years of pulling your tail and threatening to steal it has deterred you from that. Going home over break is sometimes hell, sometimes not. It's better than when there are events that allow outside guests to come and see them as Leona knows you'll be so full of energy and so excited to see him. He just can't bring himself to throw you off after you jump on him and latch onto his arm. Annoying perhaps but he finds your affections to be endearing at the best of times. Seeing you get so excited to see him more so than he's ever seen you to return to your Father strokes his ego just a little bit.
he just doesn't quite like the part where you complain that you write to him all the time and "Are getting way better at writing the letters now" in your own words, but don't ever get a response, then it becomes the questions of "When are you coming home?" and Leona has to shake you off and send you back on your way as he makes up some excuse about your Father worrying about you.
he does enjoy spending time with you much more when you're controllable, especially at bedtime when Leona begrudgingly agrees to tell you stories or lets you crawl into his bed under his blankets and curl up at his side where it's warm. Leona much prefers this arrangement, though he will yawn and complain that you're getting too big to be there and taking up all the space on the bed. The worst part is waking up to your little hands shaking him, usually because you want something and can't reach it, or just don't know how. You might just be lazy like him.
the little whines for your Uncle to get up are annoying at the best of times, but Leona finds himself unable to resist when you pull at his arms with all your strength. You could never hope to pull him up on your own but the dedication to get him out of bed sways him for just a few minutes.
when Leona comes home over the holidays he makes sure to make sure that if you want to be attached to him you're at least taken care of: teeth brushed, properly bathed, fed, ears and tail groomed, socks on at all times. If you don't he'll ship you back to Falena in his own words. Every time you challenge him at that with some remark about how "How are you gonna ship me back to Dad?" always met with "In a box" and Leona frankly doesn't care when you tell him that's against the rules (which you probably only know because you tried to ship Cheka somewhere).
Leona tends to problem solve that by pulling you down onto the floor and tickling you in his lap so you'll forget that and justify the need for you to wear socks all the time by kicking at his arms until he stops. Without the socks you always scratch him. He can hand the gnawing on his hands when you bite. Leona isn't fond of going out, just staying in and letting you play until you start to get tired, inviting you to take a nap with him even in the middle of the day.
he often tells you that it doesn't matter what you do with your time, since you're also the second child like he once was, but tries his best to pay attention to your studies and support you to try anyway. Leona's point is never really to become as lazy as him, but to become something other than just an heir. "It'll make you feel better than a throne" is his only reason, maybe that's why you like him so much. 'Other things' is a bit big to think about though. Even if Leona is not really King outside of his school unlike your Father is, you might like him better. Being something like a real King sounds super boring anyway.

ML Plot points: Nooroo
Nooroo’s relationship to Gabriel is not explored beyond “Gabriel abuses him” and his personality can be boiled down to wallflower.
I don’t like that.
When you think about it, he’s one of the three main kwamis of the show alongside Tikki and Plagg and yet he has practically no scenes dedicated to his personality. What does he think about Emilie? What does he think about Fu? Would he be ok with bringing Emilie back with the wish if it wasn’t for the akumas? These questions are never answered, so here’s my take:
Nooroo’s mannerisms are the same as canon; shy, polite, nice… Also slow to anger, but when someone does make him mad, he holds grudges beyond what would be reasonable. Bad news for Fu, the man who lost him and who Nooroo blames for every shitty holder he’s had in the 150 wish years between the fall of the Order and the Agrestes getting him.
My version of Nooroo is as honest about things as he’s physically capable of. He believes that open communication is the best way to solve most problems and encourages Gabriel to try and be more sociable (a social butterfly if you will, aren’t I hilarious?), even if he wasn’t successful.
When Emilie started falling ill, he tried to help Gabriel and Nathalie deal with it. He couldn’t translate the journal, but he could give ideas; a healing akuma, an akuma that reverts time on a person’s body, and akuma that can send magical side effects from one person to another. All of his ideas either didn’t work or were temporary at best.
After a short while of this, he bit the bullet and helped the Agrestes trek down the Guardian to see if he could help them. They always met him through an akuma, because just because they were negotiating doesn’t mean they were any less cautious.
It went… It went. The Guardian was very tight lipped, which he saw coming, but he never really gave solutions. He just.. placated them. He gave long explanations about what they could do but it was always vague.
It was Nathalie that noticed he was closer to Paris every time they talked to him. Once she pointed it out, it became too obvious to ignore. He was tracking them. Hawkmoth sent one more akuma to confront them. Jade Turtle tried to placate them once more, but they pushed. And pushed. And pushed… Until it slipped out that he never intended to help them.
Noor was furious. This man lost him and Duusuu. He left them to their fate and when someone reaches out to him for help, he rejects and deceives them.
Nooroo can hold a grudge. He can also force the old man’s hand. If he won’t help them they’ll just get the other kwamis to see if they have ideas. And while he detests using the wish, if all other options fail, he understands if Gabriel uses it. He misses Emilie too.
There’s my take on Nooroo. I might have put a bit too much emotion with the end part, but for this one I kinda like it.

Holiday traditions and celebrations the Lost Boys enjoy
(Not my gifs)
Tumblr media
David:
•David claims to hate Christmas and the other boys call him the grinch behind his back
•But he low key appreciates Christmas because the boardwalk gets much more crowded which means more food
•He’s not the guy to bake cookies or watch movies with, but he does like decorating
•Mainly because he gets to be in charge
•He sits back and tells the boys where to put stuff, how to hang stuff, etc etc without actually doing anything
•EXCEPT when it comes time to put the star on the tree which he ALWAYS does himself
•He’s the leader, it’s a rank thing
•He gets the boys presents but they’re always practical gifts
•Practical for them AND him
•One year he got Paul a stick of deodorant and Paul was just like, “thanks bud” :)
•Trust me, it was definitely a gift for David too
Tumblr media
Dwayne:
•Dwayne is a hopeless romantic at heart and he loves watching romantic Christmas movies (with his s/o or if he’s single, he can usually convince Star to watch them with him)
•Not the Hallmark movies though, he’s a man of taste
•His favorites are Love Actually, The Holiday, and Four Christmases
•He also loves Edward Scissorhands and Little Women which he will argue to the death are Christmas movies he’s a Meg but thinks he’s a Jo
•He sheds a single tear everytime Kim asks Edward to hold her and he can’t (shh don’t tell the boys)
•True to his Native American roots, he also observes the Winter Solstice with the boys
•Traditionally, there are sunset bonfires to celebrate
•Theirs happen a little bit after sunset (for obvious reasons)
•They share people food on the beach, and Dwayne will tell stories about his past and his ancestry
•He loves that the boys want to celebrate the holiday with him <3
Tumblr media
Marko:
•I definitely believe @luv4fandoms’s headcanon that Marko is Italian, so he celebrates Christmas
•He makes Panettone and Pandoro every year to share with the boys
•Paul doesn’t like it but he eats it anyway because Marko made it
•Marko tells Laddie about La Befana, so now the boys have to get Laddie presents on Christmas AND Jan. 5th because thats when La Befana comes
•It’s ok though, they love him:) and its not like they pay for them anyway
•Marko’s also ethnically Jewish! So he celebrates Hanukkah as well
•Paul grumbles like “how come Marko gets 8 presents and I only get one?” >:(
•The boys watch while he lights the candles each of the eight days
•They also gladly partake in the fried food part of Hanukkah and eat Latkes and Donuts with Marko
•The first time they celebrated, Marko explained the history of Hanukkah with the story of the Maccabees, the restoration of the temple, and the miracle behind the menorah and the eight nights
•Marko’s glad he can share this part of his culture with the boys
Tumblr media
Paul:
•Paul lovesssss mistletoe
•Mans has it up ALL OVER the cave, its ridiculous
•Well kinda, he doesn’t have access to much mistletoe so he hangs stuff that sorta looks like it and hopes nobody notices
• “Paul is this lettuce?” “Paul is this Rosemary?” “Paul is this WEED?” No. It’s mistletoe. Shut up.
•He has the genius idea to just take some to the boardwalk with him so he can kiss random babes
•The boys kinda look at each other and Dwayne sits him down
• “Paul, most girls will find that creepy.” “Ok so I’ll only kiss boys! Problem solved” :)
• Dwayne hides his mistletoe
•Paul also likes Santa
•He always says ‘Santa probably doesn’t exist.’ And the boys are like, uh what do you mean “probably.”
•And after a lot of concerned prodding he gets kinda fed up
•He’s like, ‘so you’re tellin’ me immortal guys who have to feed on the blood of humans to survive exist and an immortal guy who leaves presents for good people doesn’t???’ He’s like, bffr
•The guys are ok with this logic but then David says, “you know you’ll never get anything from Santa right? We’re pretty much all naughty.”
•Paul smirks and says, “only in the best way.”
•The boys all groan
Happy Holidays!

Castlevania's Two Unfinished Character Arcs
Tumblr media
I talked before that I believe that Castlevania on Netflix was once supposed to have 5 seasons, not for. Or at least Ellis, while writing, was assuming that after season 3 he would get more than 10 episodes to finish the plot. Everyone who has seen season 4 will agree that it just feels very rushed in many regards.
But there is another point of why I think that there were more than 10 episodes planned to happen after season 3: The show leaves two character arcs unfinished. The arcs of Sypha and Hector.
Let me talk character arcs in general!
Before I talk about why their arcs are unfinished, I gotta talk about what a character arcs normally entails. Mind you, this is something that holds true for western literature and western media in general. Other cultures deal with those things not always the same way, though anime in general (especially shonen) tends to use the same stuff.
Usually a character arc defines three things for a character: A want, a need and a fatal flaw.
A character starts out the story wanting something. This want usually is something that is not good for the character long term. It might be neutral long term, but it is not good.
The character also has a need. That is something that the character actually needs to gain that will on longterm will be good for them. Usually they start out the story not being aware of this need.
And they have a fatal flaw. Their need tends to be connected to their fatal flaw - basically their need is something that would help them overcome their fatal flaw. The fatal flaw is some trait, that gets them into trouble.
The character arc usually is about a character realizing their need. This tends to work by their fatal flaw really, really badly biting their ass and them hitting rock bottom above it, so that their only way out is up - by realizing their need.
Tumblr media
Let me talk about the two best realized character arcs in Castlevania: Trevor and Isaac.
It has to be said that Trevor finishes his character arc at the end of season 2. He starts with the want of "wanting to be left alone" or rather "wanting to not care". He keeps iterating this throughout season 1. He does not care. He does not want to care.
His fatal flaw is, that he always assumes the worst in people and hence does not really trust them. And it is what got him to hit rock bottom at some point prior to the series.
Hence comes his need: He needs to start trusting people and working with them. He needs to start to care. And this is what he in the end realizes until season 2 for the most part.
Isaac meanwhile is the best realized character in the entire show. So he is interesting.
Isaac's want at the beginning is simple: He wants to destroy everything. He wants to destroy the world.
His fatal flaw is that he is unable to see good things. (Which yes, is somewhat similar to Trevor.) In his case this gets called out even by the Captain. "Yesterday a man gave you a gift and made a joke, yet all you remember is the port authority running you and your beasties out of town."
His need is to realize that there is not only bad in the world, but also good. That people - including that he is himself - can be good.
(And yes, I find it kinda funny that the Captain just spells out his character arc for us xD)
Tumblr media
Now, let me talk about Sypha. I talked before about how she kinda is a paragon within the structure of the story. She is in some regards the ideal. This is especially true within season 1 and 2, where she really is more the driving factor for both Trevor and Adrian's arc. But in season 3 she really is set up for an arc.
It is also pretty much clear that her arc kinda goes counter to Trevor's arc, with the original plan clearly having been that they both learn a bit from each other and find a good middleground.
Her want is to help people. To help everyone, solve all the problems, save every single person they come across and fight all the monsters.
Her fatal flaw in this is that she always sees the good in people and thinks that everyone can be saved. Or to put it differently: She is too idealistic. I would also argue that her second fatal flaw is, that she puts strangers above herself. She will gladly use herself up for strangers.
Her need is to be a bit more suspicious and also just a bit more selfish.
But... that gets never quite realized. See, she clearly hits rock bottom by the end of season 3. She realizes she trusted someone who should not have been trusted. She had not managed to save anyone. All of that. So, from there on she would need to realize what her flaw and her need are and overcome that fatal flaw. But... she never does, because season 4 just has no room for that. So season 4 kinda just ignores her hitting rock bottom by the end of season 3 when it comes to her arc - but it really is never brought up in season 4 again. Because, again, there is no time for that.
Tumblr media
Hector is even more... well, unrealized. So far in fact that it is not quite clear what even his need is - or his want. Because the point kinda is that he does not have wants on his own.
Throughout the series his wants are just situational. He does not really want all that genocide. But Dracula asked him, so Hector said: "Sure." He does not really want to betray Dracula. But Carmilla asked him, so Hector said: "Okay." Because he is easily manipulated. Then in season 3 his want is "get out of the dungeon" and in season 4 his want, though never quite put into focus, clearly is "get out of the slavery thing".
His fatal flaw is fairly clear. He is naive. He is painfully naive and easily manipulated. He is a fullon himbo. Which gets him into worse and worse situation.
I would say that his need is kinda to self-actualize. To actually find his backbone. To develop an actual agency.
And it seems to me that with him helping Varney and making his plans to escape the castle would have involved him figuring out his need. But it happens off-screen. So, in the end, he really never gets to develop a full arc. And especially this entire thing with Varney clearly seems to be linked to something that was once supposed to happen on-screen.
So, yeah. Those are the two unfinished character arcs in Castlevania. But it makes it interesting to write about them. xD

If Mono and Six landed on the infinity train how big do you thin their numbers would be and what arc do you think they’ll have?
unfortunately the basic premise of this question doesn't work because of the dissonance between how infinity train handles character arcs and how little nightmares handles character arcs.
the basic premise of infinity train's worldbuilding is that it's real life except for the addition of the train (and obligatory subtraction of branded items, hence the fictional gas station chain &c). every passenger is written as mundanely and intricately human. they're all Just Some Guy You Could Meet On The Street, which is to say they have intensely complex psyches, nuanced and storied personal problems, and unique personality traits. tulip eats raw onions because she tried one as a kid and was too stubborn to admit to her parents she didn't like it, holds strict worldviews based on narrow/immature ration about the world and struggles to accept changes that don't fit into her preconceived frameworks, and wears a kinda stupid looking tights/skirt combo because she's 13. jesse is still attached to a song about learning to be nice to people he learned in kindergarten, is a serial social masker because he's convinced people will only like him if he's being exactly what they want him to be, and gets character development from talking honestly about his relationship to swimming. and so on and so forth. grace is a cult leader but she's also just, like, some girl who blows raspberries when she's thinking or excited. the depth of the characterization is inextricable from infinity train's narratives, because each narrative is, by dint of the show's most basic premise (follow these people while they fuck around on a train that kidnaps you and only lets you off if you achieve what it deems to be Personal Growth), entirely fueled by rich characterization and character arcs.
little nightmares, by contrast, actually hinges pretty heavily on vague/fuzzy characterization. it's actively difficult to catch a peek of six, mono, or runaway kid's face. the children you play as have names that are less names in the sense we're familiar with and more markers of isolation-induced anonymity: low, alone, and mono. in runaway kid's case, he doesn't even have a name--he's defined entirely by the fact that he's trying to escape. (from what? the world. does he succeed? no.) we don't know what any of these children like or dislike. we don't know where they came from. they don't have favorite colors, or hobbies, or even dialogue outside of the occasional--almost always barely-audible--"hey"s six and mono exchange to get each others attention. all of these children are defined by one thing: the fact that they are young and small and the world wants to eat, change, or destroy them. what most distinguishes each child from one another is the unique way in which they are hurt: six survives, but at the cost of the part of her that knows how to play and hold onto her friends. mono grows into a man who directly perpetuates the cycle that harmed his childhood self. runaway kid is clever, but unlucky, and never makes it out. and this is all because little nightmares is a visceral, but very nonliteral representation of the nonsensical cruelty of childhood. on a narrative level, the huge scope, mystery, and unfairness of the world the kids live in--and how it hurts them--is all-consuming.
all of which is to say that there's no grounded, detailed characterization that could be used to put six or mono on the train. numbers are calculated based on how far a person is from solving the problem that landed them there, and the train doesn't pick people up for problems that can't be addressed by individual development. six and mono don't need individual development--their only problem is living in a society that views them as worthless and in need of breaking (or consumption or destruction and so on). fundamentally impossible quastion to answer due to the differences in how inftr and ln approach characterization. sadly. :(.

Mr. Kite
Tumblr media
Remember how I said you already know everything you need to know about Mr. Kite?
Mr. Kite, as a character, embodies a narrative concept that I think a lot of people struggle with these days. There seems to be this idea now that if a question is posed and then left unanswered in a story, it's unfinished or a plot hole. It's not! Not every story is going to spoonfeed and hold your hand all the way to the end. In fact, some stories will leave you hanging, left to determine on your own what happened. People who cannot do this will have a bad time with stories like those. Further still, some stories will purposely leave you wondering with deliberately inconclusive possibilities, such that you'll never have a satisfactory answer even if you have the wherewithal to actually suppose about it on your own.
Like the question of what happened to the kids on the train. There's not a canon answer for that; there will never be a canon answer for that. You can come up with your own answers, but you're never going to have the satisfaction of knowing whether it's correct or not. And real talk? There was never any intent to have a correct answer. The writers themselves almost certainly do not have the answer because they purposely didn't want one.
Do they not make kids read The Lady, or the Tiger? in school no more?
Anyway, the question of Mr. Kite does two very interesting things.
In a world where apparently people are no longer comfortable with being left with an unanswered questions, the game presents you with this one and then makes you play through three acts and three more DLC without ever giving you the conclusion. Kinda mean! Love it!
Though not specific to videogames, but I do think it's the best medium to play with this idea: that you never meet Mr. Kite or ever get very close to learning more about him is playing with the convention of anything you encounter in a world like this being there specifically for you. That is, you are playing the protagonist and so any information presented is for your benefit and any problems that arise are yours to solve.
The second is the more compelling concept because a world where you are merely a cog in the machine rather than the operator is more realistic, but videogames are constructed so it asks a bit of both the designer and the player to engage with that and be satisfied. For the designer, you have to put in things that seem extraneous to the experience and there's limitations and considerations to take into account. Because it's a fine line. We Happy Few does do this in ways far less successful than Mr. Kite. You know, those things I like to call go-nowhere-mysteries. There's a difference between a part of the story you're not permitted to get any closer to and a part of the story that wastes your time trying in spite of that. And for the player, one has to be okay with not being the center of the world's attention at all times. They have to have that understanding that not everything is going to be for you to manipulate or interact with.
Now that I've made you sit through my philosophical rant, here's the one thing I think it's important for people to know about Mr. Kite (but you probably already knew and just never really thought about it (unless you wrote Une Raison d'Être Au Courant in which this is a crucial detail).
Mr. Kite does not help just anyone. He only helps Downers who can still take their Joy.
Part of this is, I think, practical. That we find Prudence in the motilene mines tells us that the way out for him is the same as it is for Arthur who must make the same journey unguided. And to get there, you have to go through the Parade and to get into the Parade, you must be able to take your Joy at least once.
But... there's also a dismissiveness to the Wastrel condition in his instructions. That they're starving and cold is no concern of his, he cares only for his "favourite Rabbit". Still, his Edenham safehouse is guarded and populated by Wastrels who will attack other trepassing Wastrels who enter which means that even if there's no Resistance, he does have accomplices in this. I wrote a chapter detailing why a Wastrel might want to work for Mr. Kite, but less nobler intentions might be that working for a man who has access to "good food" is the better bet than siding with your fellow Wastrels in Barrow Holm.
And then there's that he calls Prudence his "favourite Rabbit". It's a little creepy, yeah? That Prudence does make it all the way to the end suggests to me that this isn't any sort of play on her so much as that Mr. Kite might just be Like That in General but still, if my life were in the hands of some mysterious benefactor, I don't know that I'd like him being that affectionate in his missives.
But I also like the idea that whoever he's moving out of town at the moment is his "favourite Rabbit". Means you don't have the change the codes on the phones every time you get someone new.
You know what rabbits are? Delicate. They break their own necks if you look at them the wrong way. A person who wants to leave town on their own could and does. Arthur, Sally, Ollie, and Victoria all leave on their own. But I think if you need Mr. Kite to guide you through a town you've lived in your whole life, it's because you're too timid to set out on your own.
His note also seems to imply a joviality about the whole thing. Prudence is having a miserable experience making her way through the town, but Mr. Kite's having a grand time orchestrating Downer escapes under the nose of polite society. I suspect his is a life of some privilege if he's having this much fun with it. Would explain his disinterest in the plight of Wastrels, despite his otherwise apparently charitable acts against the status quo.
He's also one of Sally's Blackberry clients meaning he's either someone of enough importance in the town to justify it or, more likely, he's convinced her that supplying him is a good idea. Possibly even both. Prudence was also a client of Sally's so it's possible she's the one who referred her to Mr. Kite.
Overall, I think Mr. Kite is someone who recognizes the problems of Wellington Wells, but is not suffering from them personally. In fact, he's having a lot of fun playing subterfuge with the local government and playing hero to people who would never have been brave enough to leave the town on their own.

ok so im not very far into trigun (which. you convinced me to read/watch) but ive seen you talk about vash as a christ/messiah figure which. means im kinda obsessed with how you described his impact on the world in no name on the bullet (christ healing the lame, christ feeding the thousand... christ delivering his people from evil.) did you have any specific biblical references you kept in mind while writing?
i also think its super interesting how the fic seems to focus more heavily on healing as opposed to how (what ive seen of) trigun is a lot more gunman focused - is part of that influenced by how knives is a pacifist in a "cold turkey" way, or a choice on your part? i think it makes an interesting dichotomy, christ the gunman and satan the physician
I've gone my entire life without recommending Trigun to anybody, because I always felt it was too weird and ultra-violent and love-it-or-hate-it to actually ask people to watch it. Look at me now. Getting at least 3+ people into it. Boo boo the fool. Also I'm sorry that this response is so long skull emoji.
I'm ex-Catholic so you have asked the right question lol. Vash is very inspired by the Old Testament God. I have a strong mental image of him obsessing over the Noah's Arc story in his cute children's Bible. Sodom and Gomorrah is brought up again much later, in an extremely important way. Garden of Eden and Paradise, as the show does. The Plagues where every firstborn son dies. These is all imagery that Vash specifically evokes on purpose. Vash...uses the Bible to understand his own experiences and feelings and desires (that's the most neutral way to phrase it), but like a lot of people he uses the Bible/God partly as justification for his actions. God destroys cities for being sinful, and Vash is the closest thing to God this planet has, so he's entitled lol. God Complex McGee up in here.
And Vash's cult has no Jesus, because there is no forgiveness for humanity, and no way for them to be saved. Which is how you know that Vash's Jesus-ey actions as described in the story are very deceitful on a lot of different levels. Kind of like regular Vash lmfao - as I said earlier, he's VERY much also a messiah deconstruction. Vash is a pacifist partly because he needs it - he needs to be believed that people can be saved, that the world can be good, that nobody has to die, because otherwise the world is nothing but an endless parade of misery and death and his own suffering. It's about saving his own soul, and the memory of Rem.
For me, on a writing level: Cain and Abel, obviously. 'My brother's keeper'-ass mofo lmfao. It's more themes for me, though - redemption, salvation, forgiveness, original sin, sin in general, guilt, fate. Knives is pretty obsessed with all of these topics. I make fun of him for it. None of it's healthy. But Knives embodies a few other Christian ideals that I don't make fun of him for, such as the importance of good works and good actions, and dedicating his life towards helping others without the desire for a reward. There's also some subtle 'shepherd and his sheep' stuff going on later.
Re: the gunfights: can you IMAGINE Knives carrying a gun. He is WAY too proud of his own #biologicalsuperiority and #ultimatelifeform and #impenetrabledefense (literally Shadow AND Gaara-ass mofo) to rely on cheap human trinkets like guns lol.
The plot has more action than my usual (yay! - that was what I was working for lol), but it's based off the skeleton of the Stampede plot, which is genuinely a lot more space opera than Western and as such its action looks different. Turns out that when you remove the Gung Ho Guns from a story, there are a LOT LESS gunfights, lmfao (I don't know what kind of errands Vash sends the GHG out on, I am afraid to find out). So partly there's less gunfights because a) Stamp plots don't require too many gunfights, and b) without a Gunman (TM) there's no reason for the group to use guns to solve their problems if at all possible.
It's also just that, basically, Vash's plots are partly man vs self and partly man vs other. When a character is level 99, the tension of the fight scene isn't if they'll win the fight - it's if they'll win the fight under their self-imposed conditions. In Vash's case, the Q in every gunfight is 'can Vash win the fight and save people without compromising his principles?'. For Knives, he is so ridiculously OP that it's impossible to write a fight scene with genuine tension, and he doesn't care nearly as deeply about casualties. So the most engaging plotlines for Knives are entirely man vs self, which tends to shake out into a lot of trolley problems lol. That's the answer to your Q from a writing perspective.
So it's mostly a choice for plot/writing reasons. But YUP the dichotomy is SUPER JUICY, and the fun part of the story is reading the Ultimate Killing Machine be forced to do literally anything else than Ultimate Kill - to do the only thing he wasn't meant to do. Because doing what he was meant to do reduces him to a biblical figure instead of a person - it makes him just a devil, who's never exercised the free will God gave him, and as such can't be called sentient. It's not what Rem would want. And it's a very juicy juxtaposition to somebody who interprets his own meaning in life as a Christ figure as a divine compulsion to brutally murder orphan.

Okay so the short version is that our League fucking sucks and Champion Lance also fucking sucks. The environment is toxic, there's no safety standards, and basically every kid gets funneled into it to sink or swim. And the ones that sink get desperate to find a way to stay afloat, and more than a few of them end up joining Team Rocket just for the money, which feeds into our organized crime problem.
I respect one (1) Gym Leader here and that's Blue, because he at least does SOMETHING to support kids who flunk out of the Gym Challenge. But one out of eight isn't enough, and a lot of the issues can't even be solved at that level and would need the Champion and Elite Four to intervene, since they're the ones with the power to actually make rules about things. And our current Champion thinks everything's fine the way it is and the challenge being "tough" just "weeds out the weak."
Anyway. Gym Leaders have various degrees of suck. My great uncle is like... he's family. I care about him a lot. But his perspective on League stuff is... bad. And even if I love him, and I can't not, no matter how much I don't like him, I can still recognize that the regularity of defeated challengers needing to get their Pokémon emergency help is a huge fucking problem.
And he wants me to replace him when he retires so... I've gotten a lot of that harshness directly pointed at me in training. It's in a supportive way, but... the only reason he stopped telling me to man up when I told him my body was past its limits was because I told him I'm a girl.
Okay, that's kind of long and rambly actually. Sorry.
yeesh. and that’s the short version? crazy stuff goin’ on in kanto. everybody’s got their skeletons in the closet but. can’t say i was expecting all that.
last part kinda reminds me of drayden. that same bullshit adults always spill when they treat you bad just to make you “stronger”? or whatever. yeah. don’t feed into that.

I have been trying to shape this into a full, coherent narrative for a little while, but a lot of the connective tissue is missing, like how they actually get the twins ferried over to Jugdral. Which, the answers might be "Byleth hits up Yuri to get someone to fake birth certificates" or "the house leaders apply Money and Rich Family Connections to the problem to get a no-questions-asked flight to Belhalla" because that is just a way that these plots can end. Fundamentally, there are a lot of Rich Kids in this AU, and they can just solve some of these problems the way Rich Kids do.
The other big piece I've not figured out was "what does Manfroy do when he finds out the babies are missing, what does Thales do, do they stir up more shit and cause issues to splash back on the main cast". Like Manfroy could just panic and try to kidnap Deirdre and then figure out the details later. Thales might know that Edelgard and Dimitri have to be caught up in this. I haven't decided how much I want to put the main cast do; I kinda wanna cut Deirdre a break, because the poor woman goes through enough in canon and I don't need to put her through a kidnapping, but on the other hand, that gives Validar something to do to cause problems - send in Aversa with a baseball bat to un-kidnap a woman, and that's a funny concept. There's lots of ways the story can splinter after the initial "we stole two babies" part and I’ve had trouble deciding what I want to do with it!
Anyway that’s absolutely hysterical that Jedah is just. carrying on with whatever crimes he’s committing, totally unaware of the slapfight happening between the other three axis of the Cult Gang. He finds out months later that Manfroy had and lost A Potential Vessel For Their God and Manfroy blames Thales and Thales blames Validar and frankly, Jedah still doesn’t quite understand how Validar actually played into this.
Tumblr media
They got some of Arvis' blood too, just by telling him “hey give us some blood or we’ll let people find out about your bloodline secret :)”, and he's dead enough inside that he's like, whatever, here, take it, they’re not actually going to be able to do anything with a bit of my blood and hair. And unfortunately for him he does not know that Manfroy knows Thales and Thales has the resources for Incredibly Unethical Science.
That’s incredibly funny, the idea that Thales could like, try to make a legal claim. I’d like to think he tries to make a claim on some sort of Intellectual Property Patent Law kinda grounds, and everyone else goes “THAT IS A HUMAN PERSON”
Tumblr media
Robin hits Arvis with it as soon as she knows for sure, which is probably 3 am local time, and Arvis only gave her his number acting under the assumption that she would never ever call him because of international fees, and he answers the phone ready to demand what the fuck is going on and he barely gets one word out before Robin hits him with “you have a half-sister and the Loptyrian Church stole both your and her DNA to cobble together a vessel for their god in a lab and by a vessel I mean a baby - two babies - they stole your DNA and cloned two babies in a lab in Fodlan—“ and Arvis is like “repeat everything you just said but slower”.
Robin goes through the whole thing and has enough info about Arvis’ alleged half-sister that Arvis just. slowly opens Facebook. looks at the friend request from Sigurd that’s been sitting unanswered for two years. looks at Sigurd’s wife in the profile picture with him. slowly pulls a pillow over his head and considers setting himself on fire.
Anyway Arvis does not have Sigurd’s phone number or any contact info for him, still refuses to accept that friend request, and refuses to ask Azelle if he has any contact info for Sigurd, and he’s going to wait to try to get some sort of actual proof from Robin, but he’s also slowly losing his mind and going through every stage of grief and then some bonus unlockable stages, and anyway by the time he has whatever he considers sufficient proof, he calls out of work and just drives to Chalphy because he doesn’t have Sigurd’s number but he knows where Sigurd lives so he just shows up at Sigurd’s house looking like he was hit by a train and he’s like. Hello. I have recently learned something.
It is really a lot on every level for all of them.

Rise of the tmnt movie spoilers!! Read at your own risk! I just finished the movie so these are ALL tbe spoilers!!
WHAT A MOVIE!! God I've literally been waiting the while entire day for this!! Checking my watch, waiting for the time to pass, and now that it has, can I just say it was WELL worth the wait!!
I loved every bit of this movie!
Let's start it off at the beginning, the opening shot?? Amazing! I was really worried about spoilers, since I intended to go into this movie completely blind, but couldn't help myself and look up rottmnt on tumblr and hears about the KANG and future Casey and all that. I was worried that we wouldn't see the future till like, 20 mins into the movie but no! It jumps right out at ya at the start!
Gosh I absolutely loved the future versions of the characters!
Ok but can we just talk about Mikey real quick - he's my favorite of the brothers, my favorite character in the whole series actually. And apparently he can TIME TRAVEL?? LIKE FUTURE LEO JUST TELLS MIKEY TO MAKE A TIME PORTAL LIKE HE COUPD ALWAYS DO THAT??
And!! And!!
At the end of the movie he just!! Opens a portal!! Like Leo does!! Granted, it was extremely hard, but Mikey can create portals kinda like Leo can?? Ohhh, what if Leo is the "space" part of "time and space" and Mikey is the "time" part!
Gosh I would really love a future episode, here's to hoping that they get another season, were Mikey finds out he can pull items from the future/past. Maybe it's an accident at first? Like, he keeps accidently grabbing things from the future and/or past. Everything he puts down weirdly disappears. Like, at the start of the episode Donnie can't find something, and complains to everyone else, which makes them realize that things *have* been going missing around the lair lately. And at the end of the episode, when the problem has been solved, Donnie complains about his thing still being missing, only for Mikey to pull it from the past and present it to him like, "ohhhh, you mean this?" (This causing the thing to go missing in the first place)
Also! More about Mikey because like, as I said, he's my favorite turtle. Casey said that Mikey was the "best mystic warrior" in the future. The emphasis on "mystic" really made me wonder. All throughout the movie i was waiting for him to be the first to break out of the mystic power down thing, since he's supposed to be the *best* at mystic stuff. But him getting a new power was also really neat to see!
Also, if I could go on a teeny tiny rant about Mikey and then I swear I would be done talking all about him: I feel like he's the brother without really, a "thing".
Each of the brothers has a "thing". Donnie has his cool tech, Leo is arrogant but is shown to lack the skills needed to gain that arrogance, Raph is prone to outbursts and has the strongest moral compass out of tbe group. I know you're going to say that Mikey is the sensitive one, the artist, and I agree! It's something I really like about him! But I feel like in the show he's kinda always shoved aside. I could go on, but that little rant could be it's own post all on its own-
Back to the movie! If I were to have one criticism of it, is that besides for Leo and Raph, a lot of characters weren't really given much to do? Like, this is undoubtedly a very Leo movie, he has a character arc and everything. Which is fine! I like Leo. I feel like tbe writers should get a chance to explore each bother on their own. But I wish tbe other characters did more stuff, and weren't shoved to the side as much.
I'm sorry Donnie stans, that Donnie didn't really do that much in the movie. Like, when he gets uploaded onto the ship and has full control over it, he doesn't really do much? I think he should haven gotten more of a "moment". Like, maybe he shut down all tbe KANNG monsters on earth or something. Just a way for him to save the day. Raph got his "save the day" moment while he sacrificed himself for Leo. Later Leo got his saved the day moment when he sacrificed himself. Mikey got his when he opened the portal. I think it's very important when you have a group of characters, like the brothers, you need to make sure each of them gets their "moment", their moment when they get to be cool and save the day. Idk, maybe Donnie stans are satisfied with what they got. Let me know! Actually, any other brother/character stan, let me know how you felt about your special character. I was wondering how tbe Raph stans felt, since because he was captured, he wasn't really in the movie as much as the others. Do yall like his character in this movie? Or do you feel upset that his character was just kinda used to father Leo's character arc? Let me know! I'm realy curious.
Also! What was up with those blue vitals April grabbed??? I kept waiting for them to be brought up! When Leo is giving his pep talk on the building I was waiting for April to bring it up but nothing! One vital took up a KANNG whole eye! Why didn't they break into the university and steal more??
I really hope the university is brought up more in the 3rd season, if we get one. They could be next season's big bad? And that's why they weren't focused on more??
Talking about tbe 3rd season, man I really hope we get it! There's literally so many ideas for the 3rd season.
Firstly is, of course, Casey! He's here to stay, which must be weird! It messes up the timeline, not to mention how Cassie (Cassandra) would react when she finds out that she has a SON! Also, it seems like Casey isn't really used to the present, or well, past world. It'll be really interesting to see how he learns to cope with it. It has already been shown that he doesn't do well with people, an episode focusing on how he learns to live in the present world would be cool! Maybe he could even go to school with April!
The 3rd season could also introduce the brothers new mystic powers! Like I said above, I think exploring Mikey's would be cool! Also just a bit more focus on Mikey in general maybe?? Like, ok so, I've kinda always had this idea of Mikey getting insecure that he doesn't really have a "thing" like his other brothers. He can't take hits like Raph, or he isn't a genius like Donnie is, nor is a good leader like Leo is. I think giving him the ability to be more in tune with the mystic side of himself would be interesting. Real Anng from avatar vibes. Especially since there's the wholehidden mystic city and everything. Maybe there's spirit's only je can see? Oh! And that could lead back to Draxum, since he is so intune with mystic stuff and since he's been around for so long. It makes sense because out of all the brothers, Mikey is definitely the closest to Draxum.
Talking about Draxum and possible future episodes! I think he and Donnie should really get an episode. They both really like science, and Donnie looks like he's warming up to mystic stuff. Plus, they're both not really good with their feelings lol. Seeing an episode were they bond would be really interesting!
Anyways, that's all I have to say about the movie right now. But come scream at me in my inbox or my messages if you want to talk more about the movie, or just rise in general! I would really love someone to talk about all of this with!

MLB Season 4 Character Analysis: "Penalteam"
Introduction
Hello everyone, I'm back with a new character analysis and this time it's episode 24. If this is your first time your seeing one of these posts, then here I look at the perspectives of the different characters in order to help others see what's going through their head to make them act the way they do.
So "Penalteam", the episode right before the two-part finale, we've come so far. This episode seemed to shove in a lot of heroes all at once due to which the characters didn't get enough time of their own to shine. I can kinda see why some people don't really like this episode but it still has characterization for 4 characters nonetheless and plus also Ladybug however small that characterization is, it's still significant enough to be mentioned in this post so let's get started.
Character POVs
Ladybug
"No need for a whole team, it's just Cat Noir and me against your clones. We're gonna be so awesome that you won't even see the ball. We're gonna win and de-akumatize you in no time."
We'll start with Ladybug, and from this episode we can see that she is trying to make Cat Noir feel like he's wanted by telling Penalteam that she doesn't need a whole team to beat her and that she and Cat Noir and her can defeat her themselves.
This shows that Ladybug has learned from last episode when Cat Noir communicated with her about his problems by telling her how useless he felt so Ladybug could come to the conclusion: oh no, Cat Noir is feeling useless, I should help him feel like he's wanted. Cat Noir may have solved his side of the miscommunication in that episode but Ladybug still needs to solve her side of the miscommunication but at least now the Cat Noir has done it, their relationship has been partly repaired. Ladybug will get there as well, she just needs face her Cat Blanc trauma by telling Cat Noir about it but it's not going to be easy.
2. Sabrina
"I'm sorry but I can't do that to Chloe."
Every one of the heroes introduced this episode had a mental obstacle they had to overcome and for Sabrina that was to reduce her platonic simping towards Chloe enough so that she can do the things she likes without the thought of what Chloe would think bothering her.
This was already kind of kickstarted in the New York Special when she developed a crush on the guy Delmar who encouraged her to come with him and let go Chloe a little bit but it didn't get enough focus due to lack of time in the special itself but now we get to do it again in this episode although it is once again being overshadowed by other things just like in the New York Special but at least this time we get to see a solid conclusion towards the end when Sabrina told Chloe that she wanted to play soccer instead of going with her. So that's progress for her.
3. Nathaniel
"It's just, I'm flattered Ladybug but I don't feel comfortable being on a team."
Now moving onto Nathaniel and his percieved discomfort of being part of a team and working with other people. We see this at the start of the episode where he tries to avoid playing soccer and made Marc make an excuse for him so that he doesn't have to come.
He tries to do it again with Ladybug when she offers him a Miraculous so that she doesn't have to work as part of a team until Ladybug made him realize how well he actually does by giving him the example of how he and Marc work together to write the Ladybug comics they do which encouraged Nathaniel to try and ended up enjoying it which changed his mind about wanting to play soccer by the end of the episode.
4. Marc
"Ladybug, I'm not really that good at soccer, I-"
Next, there's Marc with his lack of self-confidence which we've seen ever since his debut episode with him not believing that his writing was good even though he was amazing which is sort of similar to Marinette's problem of low self-esteem where she doesn't believe she is amazing and wanting to do everything she can to be perfect even though she already amazing.
Getting the Rooster Miraculous allowed Marc to have more faith in his abilities similar to how getting the Ladybug Miraculous helped Marinette have more faith in hers and in this case it helped him believe in his soccer skills which we've seen him with since the beginning of the episode. With some encouragement from Ladybug he was able to gain confidence and this most likely led to him completing his character arc.
5. Ivan
"What if I hurt someone with my superpowers?"
Finally we have Ivan's arc of learning to embrace his strength. Ivan has always been the gentle giant and due to this he was afraid of using his size and strength to hurt people due to which he has always held back.
In the soccer game when he was given the ball he became hesitant which gave the other team the advantage but when he was given a Miraculous by Ladybug the same fear returned but with Ladybug's encouragement he was able to face his fear and embrace his strength by using it for the greater good.
Conclusion
Sorry if these character POVs are very brief but the rushing of the episode didn't give it enough depth to make it that long. So now we just have the two-part finale left. Let me know if I should do "Risk" and "Strikeback" as one post called "Shadow Moth's Final Attack" or if I should do them separately like all these other episodes With that being said I'll see y'all next time.

I am hopeful after the recent talk with Red but it is pretty clear he's not doing well. He is bogged down by a history of career and project failures, migraine attacks with emotional and mental effects, an immense amount of hardwork both from work itself and from home/the car, nobody to sleep with because I stay up late, Nobody to cuddle which is his own fault, no sex because I gave up on him trying to get me off and it ruins his lips, or bleeds my butt, one of the two, and it's hard to tell Choskey I'll suddenly be gone for a while, and Red actively avoids any such acts anymore after Choskey showed up. He is jealous immensely because of how well me and Choskey get along, how supportive I am of him and how many things we do together while ignoring the fact that we don't do things together because the only thing he ever wanted to play was planetside and anything outside costs money other than walking. He dislikes me being in call with Choskey all the time including on restaurant trips and on walks but also won't join the call himself.
He misses the monogamous part of our relationship. And I kinda knew this was going to be a problem, but I was definitely not happy where I was before. I see Red failing a lot, getting frustrated a lot, or days eaten up by work, sleep, migraines, failures trying to get his projects off the ground or sudden decisions to give up on them even when I'm there to encourage him.
I do not spend a lot of time doing my share of the chores and things would be a lot better if I were tackling that more reliably and more consistently than I have been. I was hopeful when he got a violin the same time I got my flute but he ended up not doing much of anything with it even when I made it a point to practice every day. I thought it would help him work on it too, but it didn't. Red's inability to focus is legendary. Adhd completely controls his life and keeps him from doing anything he wants. Personally I do want to throw medication at it until something works. Because I know even though it'll not completely solve the issue, it is the only thing that will affect whatever chemical imbalance is making him like this. I know from enternode and light that medication is not perfect or guaranteed to be effective and they come with side effects. But I do know it tends to be better than the alternative, especially if what is being treated is considered crippling. Same with Red's depression.
It won't change the fact I'm usually gaming something multiplayer by the time he gets home and that further complicates the possibility of us doing anything together. Stay up too late to sleep with him. Or that I often don't wake up in time to shower with him or wakeup cuddle. Or that I stay home when he does trips to the store, food, etc. Because it doesn't require both of us to be present and I want to use what time I have in the day elsewhere. It doesn't change that I rarely leave the computer to the point it affects my ability to do much in the way of chores, exercise, etc.
It doesn't change that whenever anything goes wrong I tend to post things in places people don't like instead of go to them directly. I am gluttonous in the worst way possible. I crave immediate satisfaction over longer term investments. I want to play, I want to spend as much of my life doing something that makes me happy as I possibly can. And I will sacrifice sleep for it. And I don't like just leaving whatever cohesive articulation in my head unwritten.
So I understand why Red isn't happy but he also has very little to offer me in terms of affection, happiness, social events, or activities. Emotional support, he has trouble enough dealing with himself. Choskey it is easy for me to understand and deal with him better. He's happier than Red. He's easier to keep happy than Red. He's less angry if ever. He's either happy or sad and that is a lot less stressful to deal with. My words are more effective on him than Red. My presence helps him be better and it is more obvious when that is the case.
I know Red would prefer one person to live and die with for better or for worse but I am not a machine. I can't not be affected by his foul moods or frustrations or avoid groaning inwardly and watch fail to even start something he was planning to do for the day, whether or not I'm present. I can't be there for him 24/7 like I can with Choskey, but Choskey weighs less. Not just physically but emotionally. He's easier to support. It's easier to feel like my efforts aren't being put to waste. And we are willing to break rules like being in discord 24/7. Red would never do that.
I am chaos incarnate. I do not keep organized, or at least I care more about function than form. I would be the one to make an ugly house in a sandbox game and live with it because it gets the job done. I don't do things by the book. I have to clear soda cans from my desk each day.
Through all of that Red loved me, took care of me, kept doing things like make bread for me because I was his number one priority, but it means nothing if I'm not happy. It means nothing if we're not happy. Something needed to change. We weren't going to cons anymore or making any effort to visit friends regularly again. Red's retail therapy kept ruining whatever extra money we had and he often put it to waste. And despite all the games I buy my form of recreation is both cheaper and more immediately effective.
I wish Red would finally find a job with less hours, less work, less stress, less work politics, but he seems to be cursed, and I don't have any way to counteract it. I just want our costs to go down so we can actually do something major like a furcon, and I want people to actually be there with or for than just us. Choskey promises that.
I can't fix Red's moods, migraines, failed projects, lack of focus, stressful work environments or inability to do things like homework regularly. There is so much I can't fix. And I don't want to die feeling lonely or unhappy. I want things to work out with both Choskey and Red, but if that can't be the case for one reason or another I am prepared. We have history, but we don't have happiness. Red is a tortured soul, powerless to change his fate, powerless to accomplish anything. In a sense I have my own failures as well, but I have a social life, I have social needs, emotional needs, gaming needs that no matter how well Red takes care of me he can't fully meet them. Red's life is work. If Choskey got a tech job maybe he'd have some breathing room to find something better, but right now Red is worked to the bone. He also willingly makes more work for himself while at work. He's always biting off more than he can chew but it is his very nature to automate, try to improve things try to set these ambitious goals he'll unlikely be able to deliver, and gets nothing for it in the end. And at every new job he does it again. And he never comes home except when it's really late. And if it weren't for Choskey I would be alone for the entire time. He sacrifices his lunch time for work, constantly gets overtime when he doesn't have to, and at any point he could assert his right as a worker to stop being a doormat for every employer.
And he gets burnt out no surprise. And I can't do anything about it. I want to be happy. I want someone to play with. To love with. To be social with. And Choskey plays that role for me extremely well. He has friends and family that welcome me. We do things, we have fun, there's a clear idea of what we're going to do and when. My life feels purpose. I feel like the day was well spent. I have a harder time finding time to do things by myself like Valheim, but that was exactly what I wanted.
Red completely shuts himself off from everybody. And every now and then he'll say something or be loving or be fun to be around, but it is few and far between. I've been holding on since his first Target job waiting for him to find a job that he actually liked or could be relaxed at but it never happens. It's been more than a decade and it never happens. His life completely revolves around stress and he never catches a break. I thought peloton would be his calling but it turned out to be another fluke. I can pray, I can hope, I can wish things will be better for him finally but I can't do anything about it. I need do more chores but beyond that I'm at a loss on how to support him, how to spend time with him, how to properly love him. I want to be with him still but I want to be happy too.

todoroki shouto
both you and todoroki value your alone time a lot
and you’re very independent people
you have a tendency to over-think but under-act
and since both of you are introverted and like being by yourself there isn’t a lot of balance
but you won’t struggle with understanding the others energy levels
you’re both critical people, some would say even overly critical
which is a characteristic that can make you both clash a little in a relationship
but paying more attention to how you take in ideas from each other and appearing a little more open-minded with each other helps immensely
you must admit that midoriya was a little bit of help with that issue
but being so open with each other also has its advantages
Because communication and honesty is super important in relationships
you’re a phenomenal team when it comes to planning and organization
especially during hero training, you can easily bounce off on each other
you’re very like-minded
you also like to solve problems
and you quickly realised that when you do it together it’s quite fun
and leads to a more satisfying outcome
because both of your ideas combined are better in every way
bakugou katsuki
bakugou likes to pretend like he doesn’t like people
or wants to be surrounded by them in any way
and in the beginning, he really really loves acting like he doesn’t like you one bit
you know, just bakugou things
quite the stubborn boy
he hates to admit, even to himself, that you just really get him
on a level no one else does
you have a very similar way of thinking, have similar approaches while problem-solving and trust your intuition a lot
you do enjoy doing this by yourself
solve your problems in private and think things out internally
bakugou does (and he will deny this!) like vocalising his thoughts to other people and putting them in order that way
he often does it with kirishima though and when it’s something he doesn’t want people to know about he does it with midoriya
he’s kinda rude about it though
you realize that when he starts adding you to the list of people he shares his thoughts with
but interestingly enough he is not opposed to you giving your opinion on the matter
conversations between you are really stimulating for you
when you go over topics you are both interested in or open enough to learn about you could talk about it for hours
despite that, both of you are really private people and uncomfortable with openly sharing your emotional state with others
so you don’t pressure each other when it comes to that
and after you started dating you tried to be a little more open with each other
considering you don’t push each other because you do understand where they are coming from
hawks
hawks is a real mystery to you sometimes
he looks very simple on the outside: charming, fun, carefree
but beneath the surface, there is a lot more he is trying to hide
he’s a lot more serious and intelligent than he lets on at first
and you couldn’t be more intrigued by that
he had a lot of secrets that he didn’t want anyone to know about
hawks is childish at times but it doesn’t annoy you
it actually helps you bring out your inner child as well and be a little goofier with him
when you and hawks fight it’s hardly emotional
you mostly try to concentrate on the problem at hand
you rarely get caught up in the emotional aspect of it
both of you are just honest and direct
no unnecessary name calling or pettiness
hawks will know when you are upset because you tell him
and hawks tells you when you did something to upset him
so fights never escalate
you call each other out when it’s necessary
and you’re so close whenever something happens the other is the first person you tell
at the end of the day, you’re definitely each other’s best friends next to the s/o part
shinsou hitoshi
shinsou is a more reserved person
(very reserved)
when he said he’s not here to make friends he fully means it
and midoriya might be an exception
but shinsou doesn’t go around actively looking for friends
neither are you
you quickly catch each other’s eyes though
shinsou is a very eye catching person you must say
he seems cold and quiet but he’s also got a lot of wit
you both could talk for hours
and if you say hours you mean hours
shinsou knows so many things about a lot of different things
you sometimes wonder where that knowledge comes from
because it seems random at times
he’ll know about the characteristics of nocturnal animals and then he’ll start telling you about what happens with the brain when it’s sleep deprived
conversations with him are never boring
and he’s just as curious to hear everything about whatever topic you were a specialist in
both of you share a similar humour
which is dark dark humour
self deprecating and a little inappropriate at times
shinsou is so unintentionally funny it’s hilarious
he’ll just randomly make a joke that is so unexpected and makes you laugh so hard
you were friends first and s/o second
and you like to bring up how you must be so irresistible
if shinsou threw his rule away to “not make friends” while training to become a hero
well, you and midoriya that is
but you were obviously even more special
tamaki amajiki
now tamaki isn’t just shy like some people may believe when they first meet him
he also has crippling social anxiety
the first time you talked to him he had turned and stared at the wall instead
and then profusely apologized for doing that
so you and tamaki’s relationship was a little bit of a longer work in progress
you didn’t mind though
you yourself were more of an introvert so you understood how other people were draining
and interaction could be exhausting
and you didn’t push him to do anything he didn’t want either
when you both get closer you have no problems with spending time in privacy
you find that the silence can be really stimulating to your brain
and tamaki told you he feels the same
you spark each others imagination and tamaki is a very creative person
he has his little passions and some of them are a little uncommon
but they are incredibly fascinating to you
tamaki has quite a lot to talk about when his social anxiety doesn’t get in the way
he has a lot of ideas and interests
and you really enjoy your conversations with him
tamaki can be quite sensitive so you have to be careful not to be too direct or explain yourself better when you do bring criticism towards him
as he easily deflates and withdraws
he sometimes takes things to personally
even though you certainly don’t mean it the way he takes it
but you know tamaki’s struggles
and you are respectful of them
and tamaki tries his best, too
midoriya izuku
you and izuku are something like kindred spirits
you observe things in similar way and share a lot of interests
you are both seekers
you like to explore possible futures and chances
and doing it together can be so exciting
you both like complex things and figuring them out
deku with his hero notebooks immediately draws your attention
the amount of work and effort he puts into that
and how thorough he is with his work?
damn
izuku is your to go person when it comes to discussing interesting topic or ideas
and he has so many theories about so many things
you could spend the whole night talking with him about it
not only that
but neither of you likes to take things at face value
you are highly critical people
so conversations quickly turn into discussions
and those discussions might be the most fun about your time together
you both like to spend time alone
and spending time alone together is much more preferred than going out
you rarely fight because deku is harmonic
he wants to talk things out
understand what the issue is and then solve it
and you are similar
you want to talk issues out and are very upfront about what is bothering you
all in all you and izuku are very much a dream team

Yandere Profile - Link (Legend of Zelda)
Tumblr media
ABSOLUTELY YES. MY BOY. LOVE OF MY LIFE.
As some of you may know, today is the release date of Skyward Sword HD for Switch!! So I decided to release this one now in honor of that :3
NOTES:
I went towards the idea of a Princess!reader because that just opens the gate for sooooo much potential. I'm leaning heavily towards the ZeLink interactions in BoTW and Skyward Sword just because those games have the most interaction between the two.
Also! This is great bc it gives me the opportunity to explore an idea I've actually had a long time! I've always thought about how many opportunities there have been across the games for Link and Zelda to be kinda like "haha well seeya later" and just... bolt, run away from everything, abandon their roles and responsibilities and all that. Like, if OoT kid Link got her before Ganon did and ran, if SS Link just decided to get her on the bird and bolt before everything went down, if botw Link was just like haha what if we ran away from everything together... jk... unless...?
And final note, Link is a great pick for the very traditional yandere -- sweet and : ) but can snap into darker personas. I really liked writing this bc I tend to have more self centered yans and less of the "worships the ground you walk on" type of yans like I think Link would be, so it's a nice change.
As usual now the nsfw section is divided by a ---- line.
TWs: fem reader, heavily implied Zelda!reader, stalking, murder, very brief mentions of gore/dismemberment of rivals, manipulation, very brief suicide mention, themes of reincarnation (I’ve been told this can be triggering to some people so just in case)
TWs (nsfw section): noncon, somnophilia
--------------------------------
Severity Scale
Intelligence/Perceptiveness: 4 Brutality: 8.5 Physical capability: 8 Mental/emotional instability: 7 Restrictiveness: 6 Sexual sadism: 5 Stubbornness: 8
What are they generally like? Lucid, aware? Obsessive? How do they behave?
The primary trait of Link that any darling -- any person, really -- would notice is that he is, well, quiet. He has always been a man of few words, and really, he often doesn't know exactly what to say. On his own, at a first glance, he really does seem like a gentle, humble spirit, someone who blends into the background pretty well, who isn't particularly prideful or reckless or aggressive.
Which is why, to be honest, he might sort of evade the gaze of most people -- he doesn't stand out. You remember him as the boy that smiled at you now and then, it's a soft, gentle sort of smile, one that you feel conveys nothing but the utmost innocence and contentment with the world. You know he's pretty good at fighting, but doesn't get into fights needlessly, he's accomplished and respected, but has never been the guy everyone is talking about -- he's in the background, against the wall. Never speaking, always looking out, sometimes at the sky, sometimes carefully watching people. Sometimes you see him, gaze blank and tranquil, and wonder what he's thinking about. Whether he's the village boy in the time of Twilight, the trained and honored warrior that slept for many years, the boy that came down from the sky -- you can't help but feel at ease around him, safe, you can't help but find him endearing and pleasant.
Yet, you always seem to notice him. Other people... forget he exists, sometimes, he's so quiet. You never do, for whatever reason.
When he needs to get something across, he prefers to express himself through actions, not words. If you lived in Skyloft, or Ordon village, you might find problems mysteriously solved, work suddenly done that you don't remember doing. That fencepost outside your home that broke has been replaced overnight. A village child went missing and he comes back a few hours later with them in tow. Always humble, never demanding or expecting thanks, he tells you in his quiet voice that he's happy to help you.
And should you ever ask him for anything, he'll drop whatever he's doing to help. Anything for you, he says with a smile, which makes you feel a bit guilty when, honestly, you're not even sure you're remembering his name right.
And yet, sometimes, you feel so at ease around him it seems unnatural. He seems so easy to trust. You feel like you've known him forever. And sometimes you feel... for just a split second, less at ease. You find yourself randomly stiffening at his calm, sweet voice. You find yourself looking around when you're alone, as if you feel someone is there, and for some reason, his face flashes through your mind. Sometimes when he looks at you, you feel sort of cold. It's almost like invoking a memory you don't have, like some kind of learned instinct you can't recall a reason for. But those moments are fleeting, they come and go before you can even process them, replaced by warmth and comfort.
If you do spend time with him, if you find yourself gazing out your window when he's training, the next thing you notice besides him being quiet and sweet is that he's strong. It's almost ironic, how all the other knights or village boys are so aggressive and rowdy all the time, many of them taller or bulkier, and yet, none of them could ever dream of defeating Link. Not one can match his agility, speed, prowess. Such a pleasant, calm person, with so much skill, strength, and power, but that power is so rarely seen exerted. People marvel at his talent, they say it's as if he has the experience of lifetimes and lifetimes of battle in his blood.
And it's why you feel at ease when he's assigned the task of guarding you. His capabilities are unmatched, and yet you'd never fear any harm to you from him. Both of those traits put together make him the best candidate to protect you.
Of course, you do find yourself doing most of the talking. Sometimes you find yourself rambling to fill the silence, and you fear you're annoying him, but when you stop he raises an eyebrow and asks why you got so quiet. Did he do something wrong? He seems to worry about that a lot -- has he done something bad? Has he made you upset? Are you mad? At first you think he's worried about his position security, but after a while you realize he genuinely worries about it.
And when you do continue your ramblings, you're surprised to find he remembers your words -- every little thing you say. Things you don't even remember telling him. He asks you about that relative you mentioned one time, his eyes light up and he walks a bit to the side because look, it's your favorite flower over there, he'll get it for you. It's impressive, really, how he manages to remember such things. He must take his job very seriously.
He does enjoy giving you such things -- he loves giving you gifts. It's usually things he finds, wholesome little things -- makes a crown out of the flowers you like so much, finds something interesting here or there, while he was off-duty he saw something in the markets he thought you'd like and got it for you. You almost feel guilty, it's so constant that he's giving you things.
Sometimes you ask him about himself, you realize he knows so much about you and you so little about him. He blushes, he rubs the back of his head, he insists there's nothing interesting about him, he wouldn't waste your time like that. It takes time to get him out of his shell, but eventually, he tells you this or that, little stories from his life.
Sometimes you take long walks, you like to get out of the stuffy walls and have fun outside, he accompanies you across Hyrule. Sometimes it feels familiar, you pass places you've never been that give you a feeling of nostalgia, deja vu, a sense that you've been here before.
He’s protectiveness incarnated. Insanely so. He can spring to his feet at a moment's notice and deals with anything that comes for you before they can even get close.
It makes you feel safe, but there's something else there. It's a ferocity that is so contrasting to his normal self, different even from the times you've seen him fight as he trains. It's a glint in the eyes, an aggression in his expression, that almost makes him seem like a different person. And it lingers for a moment, once the creature is dead and his sword hand falls to his side, he turns and glances at you to his side, a hand raised to wipe the blood off his face, and for that lingering second, it's still there, his blank expression and wide eyes -- a ferocity so intense it starts to look like bloodlust, chaos, destruction. And then, it's as if you imagined it. Smiling and telling you it's gone now, you're ok. You're glad he's so truly devoted.
In fact, he's so dedicated to his job that he starts... doing it... outside of his job hours...? Well, today he was given the day off, and you were told to stay inside because you didn't have to go out. He comes knocking on your door, says not to be startled if you hear someone outside your door move or shift or anything, but he just wanted to let you know in case. He'll be right here. Keeping watch. So don't worry. You're safe.
And likewise, he was supposed to have a day off when you were supposed to enter the town. You were assigned two other guards to watch you, since it's a special trip, so you're surprised to find just Link waiting for you. He took care of it, he says, he didn't feel right leaving your safety up to someone else, he doesn't trust them. So they agreed to let him take over for today.
All of this said, he doesn't have to grow alongside you, he doesn't have to be the childhood friend, the knight who guards you. He doesn't even have to have met you. Fate works in odd ways like that. There's a sort of inexplicable instant attachment he takes to you, almost as though it's some kind of destined, divinely inspired sort of thing. He would describe it as saying you feel familiar to him.
He's also, notably, prone to a more traditional trope of what you might call humility whiplash. For the most part, he's got that overly humble, worshipping, "I don't deserve to even stand in your presence" sort of mentality. However, although it's rare and requires a lot of wearing down his mental state, if pushed far enough, he can have brief moments where he snaps into more or less the complete opposite -- entitlement, arrogance, aggression, getting mad at you for the behavior he'd normally take with a smile on his face. Thankfully, unlike some yanderes that have a whole snapping episode towards their darling, his are very very brief, usually only a matter of seconds or a single snarled sentence before he snaps back to normal, wide-eyed and apologetic and telling you I don't know what came over me. It’s... a little frightening to say the least, but you blow it off, tell yourself that hey, everyone has moments like that... Right?
How likely are they to kidnap their darling? How quickly will they do so?
For the most part, he doesn't need it, he can pretty easily cling to your side well enough to be assured of your safety, and he manages to scare off the undesirables not with a glare, but a smile that's just a little too sweet and far too persistent -- it unnerves people. You hear a lot of people say that something about that guy rubs me the wrong way. Or that he gives me goosebumps for some reason. Even the people he scares away themselves can't pinpoint exactly what it is, all they know is that, despite being reputed as kind and quiet (and maybe a little dense), somehow a lot of people agree that something about him puts people at unease, and that's all he needs. Because they stay away from him, and if he’s by your side all the time, that means they stay away from you too. Why keep you trapped when you can just be isolated?
An aware Link is a a unique scenario. One scenario that's rather... interesting to imagine is a Link that defies fate itself, a Link that decides to be selfish in one of those rare snapping moments of his. Perhaps he makes a decision when everything starts going down, when the chaos is beginning, or perhaps he has somehow managed to gain knowledge of the bigger picture at work, the reality of the nature of your existence and his.
Perhaps he begins to think it's unfair. To suffer again and again. To prove himself again and again, and not always even to reap any benefits, to work so hard and yet still -- still -- you slip out of his grasp. He longs for a life with no tribulations, no struggle, no fights to be fought. He begins to feel like it's what he wants the most. He begins to feel like maybe it's what he deserves. So many lifetimes of struggles, if the higher powers won't give him a reward, he'll take it himself.
And perhaps, for all their higher power, not even the great goddesses themselves would have ever predicted it -- humans are ultimately creatures of will. To defy fate and to run away from destiny -- it wouldn't be the first time a human has tried such a thing. Sure, Hyrule may be destroyed. The people may all die. There may be nothing left. But you know what? He's stopped caring. If you're alive and he's alive, tucked away in your little corner of the world where you've found respite, well, that's all he needs. Even if you're on the run from forces that would want to find you, even if the threat of the final third of the triforce owner looms over your head. He'll ignore it, he'll look away.
You'll live a quiet little life together, a happy life without suffering, without quests and enemies, without strife, without worry. That's what he tells you when he steals you away, lifts you out of your bed one night. Says to be quiet, there's danger outside your door, he's rescuing you. You have no reason to not believe him. He waits until things go down, a castle under siege, but rather than taking you to where you're supposed to go, he climbs onto the horse and starts... riding away. It gets further and further into the distance, and you might ask why, what's going on? You have a job to do, he has a battle to be fought. But he says you're going far, far away, someplace you'll be safe.
But what about the divine beasts, the seals, the Twilight, whatever threat runs in this world in this time, what about the threat of Ganon, you ask? He says it doesn't matter anymore. You were doomed to fail, he thinks, it's either stay here and die, or run away. All that matters is you. And he'd like you to feel the same way for him. You will with enough time, don't worry.
He just wants this happy, quiet life with you that he’s been denied time and time again. It’s all he wants. If fate won’t give it to him, he’ll make it happen himself, and carve out the life he is determined to have, defying even the will of higher power.
How difficult is it to escape from them? How do they keep you restrained? How do they deal with attempted escape?
He gets it. Really, he does. "Stop following me!" You yell. Well, he understands why you might feel that way, but this is kinda his job. He thinks you're naive. Not that he would ever, ever have a thought that you're imperfect, of course! It's because you're so perfect and pure that you're... less aware of the dangers all around.
He'll let you think you're free, perhaps. He's more than capable of being quiet, quiet is kind of his thing. Watching you from a short distance is easy. Of course, his horse might make a noise, he can't really help that, or he might misstep on a branch or something. And then you turn around and get all mad again. Now you're even more angry. Well, he can also tell your guardians/father, who will encourage you to accept it. You can't help but feel a little bad -- he's just doing his job.
Now, our aware, runaway Link, well, does he really need to keep you restrained? What would you go back to? Certain death, a land destroyed? Sometimes you mention home, and he's quick to remind you that home doesn't exist anymore. His home is where you are. Can't you feel the same way? You found peace here in this little place -- a village far far away. Travelers, you call yourselves. What's the point in going elsewhere? How would you ever survive without him? He's not very good at being subtle or skillful about the psychological manipulation, it's obvious he's trying to scare you into not leaving, but... it still works, because really, he has a point.
He doesn't want to have to use physical restraint, in any case. And for the most part, it's not needed, because one important aspect of your relation is that his job kinda revolves around you (in some incarnations), or, perhaps you live in the same little village, but either way the thing is that his presence does the job well enough -- he's always there, perhaps more so than almost any other yandere. Even when you think you've managed to get away from him for a moment, somehow his face pops up out of nowhere. How he manages to pull it off is a mystery, you swear he manages to find you so well and predict your movements it's inhuman.
But if you really, really pose a problem, a smarter and sneakier darling that somehow manages to keep slipping out of his grasp and running off (you never get away for more than about 20 minutes or so, but nonetheless), you keep trying to run off when he's sleeping (he wakes up in approximately 25 seconds if your presence is absent from the bed, but that's still enough time to run out the front door), every time he turns his head (which isn't often) you're trying to disappear... well, in that case, he can reach a point of deciding more straightforward measures are necessary. He hates to do it, really, at least when he's not yet at a snapping point. But it's for your own good. And he says so, quite apologetically.
But it's not so bad, it's not like you're being chained to a wall or anything. For one, he got leather ties so you'd be more comfortable, but more importantly, as your guardian, he figured the best thing for you to be tied to would be... himself. Think of it like friendship bracelets! It's just... got a 5-foot chain connecting them. This way you can't sneak off at night, and you won't get too far when he's distracted. It's a safety measure.
How easy are they to trick, deceive, or manipulate?
He's a learner. At first, it's easy. Honestly, he is a rather naive, gullible boy, sometimes he reminds you of a happy dog with his bright eyes. He likes to believe the best of people, give them the benefit of the doubt in all circumstances, and that goes double for you, who he believes can do no wrong.
And even when you do lie to him, it's still not wrong. You didn't do anything bad. Clearly there has simply been a misunderstanding, and you thought you had to lie. Or perhaps you simply forgot a detail or were confusing something with something else. It wasn't malicious on your end, he knows that.
He's actually significantly smarter than he lets on in practical knowledge, though. Those dungeon puzzles pay off, you know? He's got pattern recognition down. So over time he learns how to distinguish when you're lying to him or attempting to deceive him, and sees through it increasingly well.
And yet, he doesn't really... get mad over it, most of the time. Again, he's just capable of deluding himself into believing there's a reason. He believes so strongly in your goodness that he finds a way to interpret everything you do as out of benevolence. So you snuck out the window and didn't tell him you were going for a walk because you just wanted to get away from his suffocating presence for once? You were just thinking of him. You didn't want to burden him and wanted to give him a break. Well, that's thoughtful, but don't worry, he doesn't need a break. He thinks it's precious you're so considerate of him though!
You don't tell him you were talking to that person, and you lie and say no when he asks, because you don't want him to worry, and because you underestimate how dangerous others can be. He's told you a million times and you don't listen, but that's ok, it's because you're just so pure you see the best in everyone. Everything you do is good.
Because he perceives your lies, he will still work against and around it. He won't confront you on your lies, he'll just make sure to deal with the situation -- you lied about sneaking out, well, he'll just keep watch and be ready to meet you outside next time. You lied about talking to a person, well, he'll just have to make sure they stay away from you instead.
If you're trying to trick him, he just plays along until necessary. Smiles and nods. He gets the suspicion you're planning a break-out when he told you he was leaving to go get something from town... rather than saying so, he just decides, you know what? Why don't you come with him? Oh, you're feeling sick, you tell him it's ok, go without you? Well, he can't leave you alone then! Because you're clearly not and just trying to get him to leave... or, as he says, he can't just leave you alone. He'll go another day.
He's fairly manipulable when it comes to praise and affection. You can easily Pavlov him into certain behaviors or patterns with just the slightest words of praise and affection. He's not a very outwardly expressive person, tends to stay quiet, but you can tell how he feels inside when you give the slightest praise, a hug, a kiss on the cheek -- you can see that soft hint of a smile and tell that inside, he's basically melting, even if it's not obvious to most people. And, much like the lying, he’s honestly often aware of it, but he just can’t help it.
How lenient are they? What privileges can you have, and what will you be denied?
He tries to get you the things that he feels will make you happy. Your happiness is incredibly important to him, and he usually thinks about how any action he plans to take might affect you, spends a lot of time debating choices of things to do or say and try to determine how each one will affect you and choose accordingly.
As such, he goes out of his way to support the things you want to do. Have a hobby? He'll find the best materials available. Want a book or a food? He'll obtain it through some means. Even if procuring it involves a side-quest-y set of mundane tasks or scouring the world for 70 of this and 50 of that to exchange it for the item from an obscure specialist, it's all worth it.
The only thing he just doesn't give up on is the constant vigilance and insistence on being by your side more or less every waking second. And every sleeping second. And just every single moment you're alive. It's for your safety.
This is actually one of the things he can get a little nasty about when it comes to how he deals with it, because he quickly has the bright idea that if you don't get it, he'll make you understand. Of course, he can't actually risk you getting hurt, so he stages it. Allows you to sneak off, or at least think you have, and walk right into the path of those monsters he lured, or the people he hired to intimidate you. Of course, it's only natural that he shows up at the last possible second, right on time to save you. You should expect that, after all, it's his responsibility to protect you, of course fate works out perfectly like this. See, he was right, it's so dangerous, and without him you'd be dead. Hopefully you grasp that now.
What kind of rules do they have? What kind of punishment would they use?
His is mostly related to vigilance. Where are you? Who have you been talking to? Who was that person you were talking with just now? What did they say? He's not nosy. He just cares about you. It’s in the job description. You ought to understand just how much certain bad people would love to find you and hurt you. That's why he has to know.
This isn't our modern world, so there's no phones or tracking devices to speak of, just himself, which, well, might as well be a tracking device since he never seems to have difficulty finding you. Sometimes you're not sure how he does it.
He tells you that you don't have to be with him 24/7, but you will be, even if you don't realize it. He's aware enough to know that you'll feel suffocated and get mad if you're aware of his presence all the time, so he gives you your "alone" time, aka, the "follow her quietly from a 20+ foot distance" time. It all feels the same to you. Well, sometimes you feel eyes on you, but you shake the feeling off as paranoia.
So it's not so much that he sets rules and reacts when they're broken, but rather, he works his way around anything you might do so well that he doesn't need you to follow his rules, or really, you take them more as suggestions. But honestly, that's kind of worse. It's enough to drive a darling to the brink of a mental breakdown very quickly. With Link you will inevitably become paranoid, nervous, you feel like you're going insane because he manages to pop up everywhere, he always knows what you did when you did it and you have no idea how it is even conceivably possible for him to know some of the things that he knows. He confronts you very plainly and quietly, often sweetly, asking why you did this or that or telling you it's ok, you don't have to hide anything, surely there’s a good reason, and if not, he forgives you anyway. In a way, it's worse than an angry confrontation. You begin to feel like he's omnipresent, like he can read your mind, and it truly takes a mental toll and affect you worse than any normal yandere's concept of punishment.
This ultimately works out well in his favor. The more you just do what he wants, the less it feels like a violation or intrusion that he knows these things, since he was there with you, it makes sense, and you continuously get bent to his will.
How do they deal with rivals, or perceived rivals? Will they get rid of them? Will they kill them themselves, or find another way?
Ah, and thus we get to that brutality rating.
It would be unthinkable to think that any sort of scum would even dare. Even he isn't worthy of being with you, and someone else thinks they could be? So, he more or less views "rivals" as an offense. When they're threats, well, he's allowed to deal with them. When they're not, well... he has a wonderful reputation. If he says he overheard that person planning usurpation or assassination, that they realized he was listening in and wildly attacked him, everyone will believe him. Even if the death seems a little... non-immediate. And uh... frankly... overkill. How exactly... did those limbs get perfectly severed during equally armed combat? And was it... really necessary... to kinda spill entrails all over like that? He'll apologize, of course, he was just so outraged by the thought of someone hurting you or your family, you know? You notice his eye twitches a bit as he says it.
He has a lot of... bottled up frustrations, which we'll touch on in the nsfw section as well, but it tends to manifest in those two ways: sex and violence. Rather than exerting stress and anger and frustration as it comes, he lets it fester. He tries to maintain being the noble, humble, self-sacrificing person he feels he should be. That is... difficult to do for a long time. People expect a lot from him, even in timelines where he's not necessarily realized as the hero quite yet, he usually has a lot of responsibilities. But then you tack on the whole hero thing? The weight of the world is sometimes, quite literally, on his shoulders. Do you have any idea the kind of stress that comes with that knowledge? It's not pleasant. And it quickly bottles up, a very very fragile bottle set to eventually shatter in a matter of time.
On a longer sort of quest, he just kinda... leaves a trail of destruction in his wake. Enemies don't actually just poof out of existence the way they do on-screen, you know. Anyone coming across an area he's just been through is met with literal piles upon piles of corpses, sometimes monsters, but sometimes people. He takes a very scorched earth sort of policy when it comes to dealing with things.
He's able to easily get close to people, with that sweet face and puppy eyes and lithe body, people don't really feel on guard around him nor intimidated. That makes it significantly easier to infiltrate enemy hideouts, earn favors, and work his way in to be able to commit mass murder more easily. Granted, no one thinks too much of it because they *are* truly enemies, after all, they *did* need to be taken out and well, if the rulers can choose to either send a group of ten soldiers or just one guy and get the job done equally well either way, they'll go with the latter option. No one thinks anything of it, except the occasional person who laughs and says something to the effect of remind me to never get on your bad side, haha! He gives that sheepish, sweet little smile, and jokingly tells them that yeah, better not.
How easy is it to make them mad? What does their anger look like?
For you, nearly impossible. For others, at a hair trigger.
For the most part, he conceals anger well until, as aforementioned, it bottles up and bursts. The truth is he gets irritated virtually all the time by other people. People who talk to you. Look at you. Smile at you. He’s actually rather easily annoyed even when you’re not involved, but again, he’s good at hiding it until it builds.
His rage has a commonality with his calm -- it's quiet. At least, at first. When it's directed at others, his eyes narrow. It's the telltale sign that someone has ignited his rage. It burns on the inside, it starts off as a spark that builds and builds and grows larger and larger until it's a blazing fire that consumes everything in his path. It's a loss of composure, a rare moment of complete loss of self-control. From his own perspective, it feels like he's not in control of his own body, it's all a blur happening in front of him and when it's over he's looking down at his own hands, unable to process his own actions, sometimes unable to remember them.
But it's violent, merciless, unforgiving. It does not yield to begging, it does not leave anything alive unless forced to. You remember the first time you realized how unnatural it was, how shocked you were at how he did something that certainly went against the code he was sworn to follow, the very first time you felt truly afraid of Link. It was a walk in town -- someone called out to you, spitting obscenities about you and your family, your lineage, threw something at you -- he caught it in his hand and crushed it, and quickly, without a word, advanced on the offender. And, to make a long story short, you had to prevent him from beating a man to death in public in broad daylight. He was forgiven by his superiors, but even they seemed shocked. You had to pull him off, and when he jerked his head around to look at whatever was stopping him -- before his face softened as he recognized your own face -- the split second you saw the burn of hatred and fury in eyes that were normally so soft and loving, was nothing short of unsettling, you still recall the chill that ran down your spine.
And honestly? It's terrifying. And the first time, it's shocking. Sure, you knew he could fight. You've seen him fight off monsters, bokoblins and lizalfos and the like. But something is different about seeing the blood of a human being run down his sword, dripping onto the ground, to see the bodies and the blank, numb gaze on his features he always has after it's over. The absolute lack of hesitancy he has to run human enemies through before they even have a chance to explain themselves, how unbothered he seems by the carnage left in his wake. The way he turns back to you, drenched in red and smiles, tells you it's ok, you're safe now. There's no need to look so scared.
And it changes how you view him, in the long run. Less of a guardian angel, more of a guardian dog, one that defends your name when you never asked him to. Pleads to tell him not to fall on deaf ears -- you just don't understand why it has to be this way, he says, you can't comprehend the threat they posed. From the sweet boy that leaves you flowers and repairs and instead leaves a wave of destruction in his path you would not have thought possible.
Directed towards you, though, it's entirely different. He tries his best to have patience with you, no matter what. He smiles, he tries to make excuses as to why you'd say this or do that, why you'd feel a certain way, and he's rather good at deluding himself to give you the benefit of the doubt.
But when it reaches an end, when he can no longer lie to himself, when you push it to a point that you truly make him mad, it's more of a snap. The times he'll lay hands on you in a truly violent way are rare, and as aforementioned, very brief. It's usually not so much of actually a blow, so much as a grab. He just can't get what he's trying to tell you through your thick head, so he stresses it, trying to make you understand as he grabs you by the upper arms, shaking you with each word, and he only stops when he sees the pain and fear in your eyes, drawing his hands back at lightning speed. He saves you from some danger very narrowly, one of the few times he lost track of you for a moment and had to frantically search before coming across you being attacked. What would I have done if something happened to you? Don't you understand that? He's so lost in the relief it takes him a moment to feel you beating on his arms in the embrace, choking and wheezing that you can't breathe, that his grip is so tight it feels like he'll snap you in half. He draws back again, and he apologizes, but it will certainly happen more than once.
So they see you as above them, beneath them, or equal to them?
Above. Like, so, so, so far above. He feels like he doesn't even deserve to look at you. Of course, neither does anyone else, so he's just, you know, stepping up to bear the burden of wrongdoing to keep people even worse than him away from you.
So it's less that you're just above him so much as you're above everyone. He's actually, perhaps surprisingly, a little bit of a pessimist about the world. The world is full of so many terrible people and so many horrible things happen that he's borne witness to. It's a "world cold and hard, (y/n) soft and warm" sort of thing. You're the one good thing, the thing that makes him happy, the ultimate source of comfort he has, and he has to prevent you from being defiled by the evil of the world, keep you innocent and sweet (even if he's just deluding himself to think you are those things in the first place).
This ties into, again, how he interprets every action you take as good and benevolent -- he has the "you can do no wrong" mentality. Even very blatantly malicious things, he'll interpret in a way that makes you somehow still come out a perfect, innocent angel. If you do harm to others, well, they simply deserved it. You did something technically wrong, but you knew no better, or you were desperate. You can't be held responsible for any of it. And if you're mean to him, well, he probably did something to make you upset.
How determined are they for you to love them? How hard will they try to make it happen? Or are they content just having you?
Sort of a duality. Yes, he's very persistent. He thinks about it all the time. Every time you yell and try to run and hurl nasty insults at him, it hurts far more than you realize. He doesn't let it show on his face or in his voice, but it really does, and it gets to him sometimes. He's hyper observant of every little thing you do, your body language, your tone, the way you look at him, and the slightest of differences can change his mood internally, although it tends to look the same outwardly.
He makes little mental notes of it -- today she didn't flinch when I touched her shoulder. Today she didn't frown when she saw me coming. Little things like that will make his entire day. Likewise, the inverse kills him inside. He aims to make every day one of the former days, where the littlest signs of acceptance or even kindness and affection give him a sort of high that makes him feel like he's floating.
He tries his best to do things that he thinks will, well, earn love. Every opportunity to do something for you, he takes it. Everything he sees he'd think you'd like, he buys (or steals, or... loots from a dead body) for you. On and on that idea goes. And although he doesn't say too much, when he does speak to you, he usually has something nice to say. He views it in a formulaic way -- ironically, think about it like those collectibles in overworlds. You get enough of this or that thing, and once you have enough, you can go talk to this or that person and donate them all and get a reward, right? He's accustomed to viewing things that way. Love should be the same way. If he just completes enough tasks and gathers enough items, eventually he'll unlock your love.
That being said, even if it doesn't happen, much to your despair, he just... doesn't. Give. Up. He doesn't quit. No matter how many times you tell him, it doesn't make a difference. You can tell him you'll never love him, and it's like it goes in one ear and out the other. He keeps trying. And he never, ever, ever stops trying. What did you expect? The boy's been fighting the same enemy over and over across lifetimes, needless to say his spirit has build up some persistence.
Bonus: Is there anything that makes them unique, in comparison to other yanderes?
Bonus: Zelda/Triforce of Wisdom Darling
And don't worry. If it all goes wrong, when he fails, those divergences in time where the hero is vanquished and evil wins out -- it's not the end. Somehow, that's the feeling he gets, holding your little lifeless body up, running hands across your cold skin. Somehow, he feels oddly calm. Like it hurts, but it's ok. Like he'll see you again. Maybe not soon, but one day. This time didn't work out. But the next one will.
And that's the feeling you'll always have. Every time you meet him and you feel like you've met before, the lingering memories when you wake from your dreams -- flying through skies and sailing on oceans, a child, an adult, a boy you've never met, or one you've known all your life, but it's always the same face, the same voice, the one right beside you in the waking world. You sometimes wonder if he has the same feelings, the same dreams, the same sense of something greater than yourselves at work, the sense of being just smaller pieces in a much bigger picture.
The sense of permanency, that each other is all there will ever be -- regardless of how it makes you feel, regardless of how that scares you, sometimes you feel like you can never be free. Sometimes, when you think of running away, those dark moments when you think of even escaping from life itself, it feels futile. It's as if you know it would never hold him away forever. As if death is insignificant. Perhaps in this lifetime, you'll become aware of why that is, or perhaps not.
With other obsessive lovers, just the idea of til death do us part is a terrifying thought. But, for Link, not even death can keep him away from you. Your suffering is already determined by the will of higher power, for the sake of a greater good.
In truth, it’s the goddesses who made him this way intentionally -- it’s designed to ensure your safety, even at the cost of your suffering. Again, for a greater good. Sure, you may live one lifetime to the next desperately locked in the same cycle in which your freedom and will is stripped from you, but in the end, it serves a purpose.
Nor will he change -- perhaps this one this time is a bit more spirited, more calm, more pessimistic, more optimistic... but in the end, at their core, they're the same soul, with the same will deep, deep down. The same drive to find you and protect you. The same love for you, an all-consuming love that destroys everything in its path to you and leaves ruin in its wake.
And if fate should one day keep you apart, should things change, for whatever reason, it’s unable to change him. There's another force even more powerful than fate determined to keep you together. The only thing more unavoidable, inevitable, and unescapable than fate, is Link himself.
------------------------------------
General perverseness: how sexual of a person are they? What’s their drive like? How touchy do they get? Do they have any reservations about sexuality?
In moments of passion, he changes a bit, unlike other more submissive yans who stay consistent in their reverence and desire to please.
You see, after a while, being as lenient and tolerant and flexible and completely devoted as he is... constantly self-sacrificing in so many ways, to you, to Hyrule, to the world... some frustrations build up. It's a big, big bottle of emotion, all tucked away and festering, getting greater and greater and eventually it has to explode somehow.
His reservations and inhibitions fall away. Perhaps a darker, more selfish side comes out. Perhaps that's why he's so rough. He knows he'll regret it later, the bruises from how hard he grips, the marks from the bites, but the hormones and the heat takes over. He'll feel bad for defiling you. He'll apologize. And he'll do it again. And again. And again.
But once the resolve crumbles, it topples. That is, he can't partially maintain it -- if it's partially gone, it falls apart completely. He lets go, so to speak. And when he lets go, you find that underneath that carefully constructed resolve and willpower that holds him back, he can be a very, very rough and possessive lover. In his normal state, he wouldn't dare think of you as a possession, or as something he's even worthy of. He would like so, so much to think that, to feel like he's allowed to -- but he doesn't. He chastises himself for even having such a desire. But in those moments, when his resolve is gone and his brain isn't thinking quite too clearly, he might even have to audacity to say "mine." Even if it's not true, not now, maybe it will be. He would like that so much. His and his alone.
And in a moment of clarity, he might even throw away the inhibition on purpose. The more selfish side, the same Link that drags you away from your destiny -- he's already forsaken his responsibilities, hasn't he? Why care anymore about the structures that no longer exist, your status and his, if there's no kingdom left? He likes that it happened, even. This way, this time, you can throw off those titles, those roles. Without your status, your title, there's nothing stopping him from making you his. And you will be his, and nothing more. It's all you need to be. So he doesn't have to care anymore about any of that, he doesn't have to stop himself from going wild. Biting into every little spare patch of skin, covering your body with marks that make him feel comforted to see.
As far as drive it's a bit of a two-sided duality. Outwardly he's not a very sexual person at all, blushes and stutters and averts his gaze at the slightest mention of suggestive topics, tries his best to be Respectful(tm) by always looking away when you're in a compromising position, or your skirt flies up, etc etc. Given how constant his vigilance is, he has a tendency to accidentally walk in on your changing or bathing, except unlike with many yanderes, it's genuinely an accident. Not that the image doesn't stick in his mind, nor does he wish he hadn't gotten to see, but he does feel guilty, and it was genuinely unintentional. He kinda freezes up, so it takes a moment for him to actually snap out of it and run out.
That being said, he quickly develops something of a masturbation addiction when he's younger, it starts as more of a stress reliever than anything, He's so sweet and always feels bad about talking about his problems and feelings, so that and, well, violence are the only ways he can get it out. Thus he learns to channel stress and nerves into sexuality, and once he has a real living body and not just his hand, that dependency on cumming to relieve it doesn't change.
How forceful are they? Do they care about your willingness?
Particularly so, yes, cares quite a bit. And it takes a while for him to feel comfortable. Even consensually, the first few times he touches you for several months, he's got trembling hands and stays quieter than ever, constantly freezes up every time you move or make a noise because he thinks he's done something wrong. He has to be coaxed into feeling more comfortable before he gets used to it, but he will build confidence over time.
As addressed before, though, if he's pushed and pushed and pushed long enough, you can get a darker side to come out. This is most likely something that would only occur post-kidnapping in a distant time, once he's far away from any possibility of consequence and destruction has set in to the world around you. He starts to get a little bitter, if you've been mean to him. It all builds up. Don't you get that he's literally saved your life? That he devoted every waking second to you? Isn't he kinda entitled to some thanks? The cycle of time never rewards him. Even the figures he helps over time rarely give him more than a verbal praise and thanks, maybe an item here or there, and then disappear. His role feels thankless. He starts to feel like he deserves something, something tangible, in return.
Surprisingly, though, he actually does not take the route of guilt-tripping or emotional manipulation or gaslighting his way into it like a lot of the sweeter yanderes when he does have that snap. His snaps/breakdowns are rather extreme in terms of how much of a polar opposite they are to his normal state, rather than just a slight bend of his normal personality. Rather than taking the route of most yanderes like himself, he just gets directly physically forceful. Still somewhat sweet, though, reminds you he loves you, he'd die for you, you're his entire world. You'd argue that doesn't really change the actions, but considering how frightening he is in that state, you're not dumb enough to vocalize that.
The guilt consumes him alive afterwards. Like, immediately afterwards. He's still panting and twitching and buried inside when it sets in. That being said, he doesn't get to stuttering and profusely apologizing, like he does over smaller offenses. It's all done and he can't take it back, so he just kinda collapses and says nothing. He's not the best with words, you know. It's an odd mixture of guilt and, honestly, a bit of satisfaction and relief. It feels like letting go of some self-imposed burden, that feeling of finally surrendering to some deep want, even if it comes with a lot of remorse, the relief of finally letting go does have a good feeling as well... and because of that, it’s another one of those barriers that, once broken, can’t be built up again.
What sort of kinks or fetishes do they have, or would they fill?
In all honesty the boy is, for the most part, a fairly gentle and vanilla lover. He doesn't really need anything special to get off -- he's easily excited and cums very very easily too. Just the prospect of getting to stick his dick in you in any capacity is enough to make him nearly burst at the thought honestly.
In general, as aforementioned, he's very very cautious and gentle to a point, but has a tendency to get actually kinda rough once he gets into it. The thing is, the roughness aspect is actually unintentional. He's one of those boys that is a little bit unaware of his own strength, doesn't process exactly how hard and fast he's going. He just gets lost in the feeling, kinda enters a dazed lusty haze where he's less aware of his actions. Doesn't realize he's literally got an iron grip pressing your head down on his dick or into the bed until you start flailing your hands because you can't breathe. Doesn't realize how hard he was gripping until he sees the bruises on your arms and hips later. That sort of deal -- poor thing is just unaware and doesn't have enough blood in his brain to think straight.
Biting
Surprisingly a really big one for him. (Remnants of a past life cycle with some lupine experiences perhaps?) In all seriousness, he could not explain exactly why if asked, it's one of those "I just like it" sort of things. It feels like yet another way to conjoin the two bodies, pulls you close. The marking aspect is also nice. Granted, he feels guilty afterwards, tries to help it heal. He has that same duality where moments ago he was this intimidating beast of a human being, rough and growly and jerking you like you were weightless, and now he's back to this bright eyed softie stuttering while he apologizes.
The guilt is mixed with a bit of enjoyment, though. It's constantly conflicting -- sure, part of him understands it's embarrassing and will help you cover up, but part of him doesn't want to, he wants people to see. Part of him looks at the marks and tells himself internally to never do that again, and part of him sees them and just wants to give you even more. It's a constant internal conflict, poor thing.
As far as a place, he likes the neck and shoulders best, simply because it's the most visible and it's the most passionate ones to create, when your bodies are tightly locked together. That being said, though, he also has a thing for biting at the insides of your thighs. It's another one of those I just like it sort of things.
Sometimes, when you're asleep, or pretending to be, you can feel him trace the bite marks with his fingers, softly running them over the circular pattern, just enough to barely ghost over your flesh.
Somnophilia
It puts him at ease. This one is particularly prevalent towards the beginning of your relationship, before you really know... how he is. He has this image of you as so pure and he couldn't bear the thought of defiling you with his horrible horrible thoughts. The guilt eats away at him for a while, but eventually he just can't hold back, but how could he ever do anything to you and risk consequence? So... the solution he comes up with is waiting until you sleep.
He tests the waters to see how heavy of a sleeper you are. Calls your name at increasing volume, lightly runs his fingers over your hair, pokes your face, whispers in your ear, runs his hands over your arms. Just to see what makes you rustle, if anything, so he knows the limits. If it turns out you're an incredibly light sleeper, well, unfortunately that means he's limited to just jerking off to your sleeping form, but that's ok. Just seeing your soft face and the cute way you breathe, the slightest way your lips open, that's enough for him.
If it turns out you're a heavier sleeper though, well, he tries to fight the temptation, but ends up going further. Slowly climbs onto your bed, careful to make the weight shift as gently as possible. Slowly pulls the covers back. Runs his hands up and down. It's a lot better when he can actually see your body as he jerks off, honestly. If he's feeling particularly risky, he might press your thighs together, feel how soft your skin is to his cock, how nice the squeezing pressure between them is.
He gets easily lost in a haze, though, so he inevitably ends up accidentally cumming on you and has to frantically find a way to lightly dab it up without waking you. He panics quite a bit, but that doesn't stop him from doing it again the very next night.
Overstimulation/Forced Orgasm
It just means he's doing a good job, really. Sure, you squeal and kick your feet back and forth and tug at his hair, but that's just because it feels good. Orgasms equate to love and feel good, right? Sure there's a little bit of pain when you go overboard, but then it just leads to feeling even better, right?
It's kind of an irrational compulsion rather than a logical goal, though. He just has an impulsive need to feel you quiver and spasm and clench, it basically gives him a chemical high hit and a wave of reassurance, makes him feel good in both the physical sense and the emotional sense. The first one sends him into this compulsive need to feel it over and over and over again, as many times as he can. It's another one of his internal conflict things -- sure, he knows it's hurting, but he just has to get one more. Just one more. But of course, every time turns into "just one more" when he's been saying that for half an hour now.
And, to be honest, it kind of gives him a pride boost to think he can make you cum against your will. How many people struggle to achieve that even when both parties are trying? It makes him feel good in an adequacy sort of way, he feels needed.
Size Kink/Distension
You know, there's a well-known thing among the male-lovers in this world when it comes to size. It's never the arrogant, loud guys, it's never the social butterflies, it's never the tall guys, it's never the beefy muscly guys. No, they're not the ones that end up somehow bestowed with absolute monster cocks. It's always the soft, lean boys who don't talk much. And they're always painfully unaware of it, too.
He's no exception. Not to the size or the complete lack of awareness. He hasn't spent a lot of time around guys his age too much, he's always been the one sent for some special task and ends up out in the wilderness by himself on journeys, or, in some lifetimes, accompanying you most of the time. He doesn't know what the average dick looks like, so he has no idea he's far above average.
This might sound like a plus, and of course in some ways it is, but also he doesn't think about the fact that the average body isn't properly equipped to handle it. You're supposed to just kinda put it in, that's how the sex works, right? Poor thing, especially if it's entirely consensual sex, he's just kinda ???? because why are you in pain? What is he doing wrong? You have to eventually explain it's literally just his body, not something he's doing.
That being said, naturally, he's a humble person, but hearing you say that does kinda... make him feel good inside. A little bit proud. He's not a person who takes a lot of pride in many things, so he likes having this one thing, and quickly notices you can visibly see it through the bulge it makes in your stomach. Especially if it's in a position where your back is pressed to his front, every little movement creates the bulge, so expect to get a lot of that.
He doesn't really bring it up much or talk about it when he's actually fucking you, it's more like, as with many things, something he's quietly aware of and silently enjoys a lot internally, even if it's not voiced.
How do they feel about pregnancy or babies? Do they want them?
Yes and no. It has to do with his overactive protection instinct. What if something happened or went wrong? He couldn't take that. He couldn't lose you.
At the same time, he likes kids, and he's very good with them, very patient. And over time, realizes that a kid would be the perfect tool of manipulation, and besides that, isn't it a beautiful thing, an ultimate manifestation of love?
So how to work around that... Ultimately, what he decides to do is have a kid... Just not by blood. There are plenty of orphans in Hyrule, wandering the streets and the wilderness, picking one up is easy. ...You wouldn't leave this poor child to suffer out there, to fend for themselves, would you? Nor would you leave him to take care of it by himself... Right?
What kind of (nsfw) punishments would they use?
Oh, it's not like he thinks of it that way. He would call it... a reminder. You put yourself in danger again? You tried to go back again? You were gone and for ten whole minutes he didn't know where you were? What could the solution to this issue be? The only thing his brain can really come up with is making sure you need him. Making sure you're content and satisfied here with him so you don't go running off.
Thus we return to the forced orgasm thing -- see, you do need him. It feels good, right? You say it hurts, and maybe it does a little, but ultimately you wouldn't be cumming if it wasn't good. No one else can ever do that. No one else knows you like this. No one else was made for you like this. You can't replace him. You need him. And he can keep going as many times as it takes until you see that, too. Even if he gets milked dry, he has a mouth and hands for a reason.
And by "until you see that," I mean until you say it. In his more... emotionally intense moments, he gets a bit insistent. He needs to hear you say it. Admit it to yourself. And to him. That you need him, that you depend on him, that you'll never leave again. And don't think your patience and tolerance can stand a chance of outlasting his -- it will keep going until you say it.
What body parts of their darling do they like the most?
He's one of those wholesome type of boys who goes with something sweet. He says maybe your hair, your face, your skin, your eyes. It's all so comforting. So familiar. Of course, not to say that he doesn't like your less wholesome mentionable parts, but he wants to be chivalric about such a question, and feels answering that way would be too disrespectful.
In his unspoken thoughts, though, he likes the hips. It's a part of you he can grab onto and hold you close with. He puts his hands there a lot and holds tight, like he feels like at any moment you could slip out of his grasp. And, I mean, it's nice to look at, can't forget that.

Miraculous Rant.
Where the hell do I begin…
Season 1:
The show was decent in season 1. Some episodes were just mindless filler and probably weren’t needed in the grand scheme of things but they helped us get introduced to the characters, we got to know the plot and the world our characters inhabit. It was good. The love story between Adrien and Marinette was cute and off to a touching and fluffy start.
Season 2:
This season was immediately better than season 1. It had character development, it went more into detail about the lore surrounding the Miraculous and we got to learn more about our characters and their families and the villian’s motives. (HM really went from “I wanna destroy the world” to “I wanna wake my wife from the coma she’s in”).
We got to see new heroes which was fun! We got new characters like Luka and Kagami.
The season finale was epic! The Miraculous team all taking down all the previous villains in the show was awesome. At the end we even got Mari kissing Adrien on the cheek. It was great! (Even though it clearly reset itself in season 3 cause it’s never mentioned again)
I really enjoyed season 2 and it’s probably my favourite out of the 4.
Season 3:
Season 3 was kinda good and kinda bad. We had some great episodes but this is where the show took the wrong turn.
Marinette lost some of her character in season 3. This was the start of her descent into being the Queen of Mary Sues. It’s also where she was crowned the Queen of Stalkers! Her character took a fucking nose dive in this season. We had so many moments that just creeped me the fuck out.
1. The ENTIRETY of Puppeteer 2 🤢🤢🤢 I could not stand that episode. When we reached the dreaded statue scene I physically had to pause it like 10 times. That scene takes about 3 minutes to watch… it took me about 20. I cringed so fucking hard because of the secondhand embarrassment I was feeling. That was not sweet, it wasn’t romantic, it wasn’t the least bit cute… it was a train wreck! It was creepy and stalkerish and it’s a wonder Adrien even spoke to her again after that atrocity!
2. LB delivering the present in Chat Blanc. Two words: STALKER BEHAVIOUR!!! I genuinely could not believe my eyes when I saw LB run her hand across everything in his room and then actually SNIFF Adrien’s pillow. Like WTF!!! 🤮 I’m pretty sure whoever was responsible for that scene clearly thought it was the equivalent of when someone gets their S/O’s jumper or something and it still smells like them. But this turned it up to the nth degree and way passed the line of sanity.
Adrien was extremely under-utilised in this season. He didn’t really do anything. The only episodes we got about him didn’t really focus on him. ‘Felix’ whilst focusing on Adrien’s family didn’t really feature him. ‘Party Crasher’ while a beautiful mess was more about Mari trying to get into the party than the party itself. ‘Chat Blanc’ again focused more on Mari trying to fix her mistake.
We got even more heroes in season 3, not in the right order but they were there. It was fun seeing everyone’s transformations.
Season 3 was also the season of destroying redemptions. The big one obviously being Chloe. Season 2 was setting up this amazing redemption for her and before it could go anywhere it was wiped off the face of the earth during the finale (and don’t worry we’ll get to that dumpster fire later). Gabriel also had any remaining sympathy ripped away from him. How did the guy who stopped Gorizilla from letting Adrien die when he only thought he was CN go from that to using his son like fucking baseball in Chat Blanc when he knew his son was CN. Like I knew you were a shit father but you still cared about Adrien in some way shape or form but after that episode I can see I was clearly mistaken!
Before we get to the finale I want to talk about probably my 2 least favourite episodes from this season: Desperada and Reflekdoll
Desperada:
I fucking hated this episode! The only good thing was Luka getting to be Viperion, other than that this episode was awful!
Marinette was a selfish cringey bitch. Completely ignoring Luka to gush about Adrien to Jagged. Brushing Luka off as soon as Adrien turns up. Immediately cuddling up to Aspik and flirting with him when she needed to focus on the akuma (something which she has told CN not to do many times before)
Adrien, I love you kid but Jesus Christ you were a dumbass in this episode! Aspik’s design was terrible! Aspik himself was awful. I know Adrien tried his best but dude you were given the Black Cat miraculous for a reason! He shouldn’t have tried to be Aspik but even when he did he should’ve called it quits after like 5 resets not 25,913 times.
The only person with a brain this episode was Luka. So well done guitar boy, gold star!
Reflekdoll:
This episode was annoying! It was basically the start of the Marinette can do no wrong streak! When they have to swap miraculous I was happy cause it meant we got to see new outfits and see how they each handle the different powers. It would also serve as a way to get LB and CN to see what their partners role is first hand. Until we actually get to it…
LadyNoire is of course amazing and needs no introduction to using this new miraculous that she’s never used before. She’s cocky and confident and basically just LB in Chat’s costume with his powers.
Mister Bug on the other hand is just useless. He struggles with this new miraculous (like anyone would!) and is stupid and goofy. He has to rely on LadyNoire to solve the lucky charm. They swapped miraculous so shouldn’t that mean that Mister Bug should get the lucky vision and the creative powers that the earrings give him.
Overall Reflekdoll is awful. It was shitty writing and the start of Adrien getting the short end of the stick.
And now the season 3 finale… Just what the fuck. That is my only reaction: what the fuck!
Chloe you poor fucking child! What did they do to you!!! So much potential SQUANDERED!!!!
What was the point in bringing in all these different superheros with unique skill sets, costumes and transformations if you were just going to immediately reveal them to the main villian so they can’t be used again. That’s stupid! If you wanted the shock value that is “Oh no HM knows some of the heroes identities!” Then keep it as only some. Have like Max, Kim and Kagami outside trying to find somewhere to hide but unfortunately they get hit. Or Nino and Alya are hiding but the windows open and they get hit. Have some of the heroes hide so they’re fine! Taking away every ally of LB and CN’s was a stupid move! (Even if they wanted Alya to become a spy have her as part of the like 4 that get revealed or something, it’s not that difficult)
Season 3 was 50/50 for me
Season 4:
So I know season 4 isn’t even halfway through yet but so much is wrong with this season already that I need to vent!
So my biggest problem with this season of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybitch and Rena Rouge, I mean Rena Furtive… shit, Chat Noir! Is that CN is basically pointless! Adrien has been flung over a rainbow and is only remembered when he’s needed as
1. Marinette’s love interest
2. Someone for LB to shout at
3. A plot device
He has basically been sidelined. Partners my ASS!!!
Adrien is being blown off by pretty much EVERYONE! It’s coming to a point where this poor sweet summer child is going to crack! And it is not gonna be pretty… I definitely feel like the writers are leading up to a big fight between CN and LB which will probably end with Chat Blanc 2.0.
I REALLY HATE MARINETTE/LADYBUG!!!! In Season 3 I said it was the beginning of her descent, well in season 4 she’s done it. She’s descended, she has hit rock fucking bottom. She is so unlikable I don’t actually care about her as a person. She has entered full blown stalker territory it’s only a matter of time before she starts killing people for even looking at Adrien! Not to mention that Miss Mary Sue here can’t do anything wrong! She never has to suffer the consequences of her actions, she is always perfect no matter what she does… it pisses me off!)
She’s the Guardian now big whoop. I know what it feels like to be stressed and under pressure so I do understand why she needed to tell someone about it all. I just don’t see why that person had to Alya! Especially considering she has someone by her side every akuma attack going through pretty much the exact same thing. I know she’s worried about CB happening again but as I said before the more she leaves him out the more she is actually pushing that to become a possibility! Plus it makes sense for them to reveal their identities now since LB is now the guardian it’s probably a good idea to know who holds the cat miraculous, she knows everyone else’s identities!
Even if she didn’t want to tell CN her identity she could still explain the situation to him. If she didn’t want to tell him anything (which she doesn’t anyway) then instead of Alya she should’ve talked to Luka! Her boyfriend for all of half an episode (thanks writers…). He’s so sweet and caring and clearly loves her so much! If she wanted someone to confide in then why not choose the person you clearly wanted to date but couldn’t because of that very reason! (Yeah I know it’s kinda a moot point now since Luka knows both identities but still). He wanted to try and comfort her so it would’ve been the perfect moment for it. That way you could still date him and he’d know why you had to suddenly leave dates halfway through! But no break the boys heart instead!
Adrien and Marinette were both such fucking idiots in the first 2 episodes. Like why would you start a relationship with someone when you know your heart isn’t in it! That’s called leading someone on and is a really shitty thing to do to someone! No wonder Kagami and Luka ended up akumatized!
Another aspect of season 4 I don’t like is Rena Furtive. Yes ok having a spy for your side is a good strategy but when said spy basically tells an important member of a duo that the 2 person job doesn’t involve them… it just really ticks me off! Alya you are the sidekick to LB and CN! Chat isn’t!
Miraculous specials:
The Miraculous World specials suck! Shanghai is better than NY but still has its problems. Both specials add nothing to the overall plot/lore of the show apart from trying to set up some weird cinematic universe…
NY special:
One of the worst things I’ve ever had to sit through! The plane scene alone I paused a few times. I want to say well done to Mari for trying to move on from Adrien (especially considering I’m pretty sure she’s dating Luka at this point) but I can’t help but think it’s just to give her character some pointless development that goes nowhere and doesn’t actually develop anything!
LB can pretty much fuck off at this point! I hate her! She put all this shit on CN (like she doesn’t know exactly how that feels). It’s like why does she get to go off on holiday but CN can’t. LB should’ve stayed in Paris for 3 reasons:
1. She’s recently become the guardian meaning it would probably be best that she stayed with the Mircle Box
2. She’s the only one who can purity the akumas
3. If she’s so sure about being the boss then she should take responsibility of Paris and the citizens.
What really pisses me off about her is what she says to CN during the big fight. “I can’t trust you”… surely you could have this conversation afterwards since you’re supposed to be focusing on taking down the villian! Plus everyone bashes Adrien for giving his miraculous up in this episode but look at it from his point of view: His partner and best friend just said she couldn’t trust him which in turn caused him to cataclysm someone and essentially kill them. That’s gonna take a toll on anyone, especially a 14 year old! He probably thought in that moment. “Ladybug needs a partner she can trust and someone who won’t mess up and kill someone. She needs a better partner.” It makes sense he renounces his miraculous! I’m just upset that in doing so he loses Plagg who is pretty much his only friend who actually understands what Adrien goes through at home.
When Uncanny gets CN to come back, LB acts like it’s not her fault in the first place that he feels inadequate! She didn’t even apologise for saying what she did! He apologised for lying about not being in Paris but nope LB wasn’t in the wrong at all and didn’t have anything to apologise for 🙄… (yes the LadyNoir hug was amazing but I just wish it was under different circumstances!)
Also are we not gonna mention Gabriel Agreste almost starting WW3??? He wanted to launch a fucking missile!!!
Shanghai:
As I said before, this special is way better for several reasons.
We got MariChat! (Best side to the love square imo). This special actually had some semblance on a plot. Fei, whilst a bit op, was a cool character. It was nice to see Wang Cheng again.
However once again there were many problems.
A big one being Marinette yet again! (What a shock! 😒 I’ll come back to this). Another was that once again HM’s motivation has changed. How is getting the Prodigious gonna help bring back Emilie??
Back to Marinette… The fact that the words “Huh?! There must be some kind of mistake! I always know what's up with Adrien! … His 5 first names and every corresponding name date, his yearly schedule, even his shoe size! If there were anything to know about him, I would know it!” come out of her mouth whilst she is flipping through his schedule that she keeps in her pocketbook is a hugh red flag!!! That is not cute or adorable! That’s messed up and Adrien needs to fucking run and maybe possibly go into witness protection… Marinette is a full blown stalker! Not to mention the GPS she has (that could just be the find my friends app on iphone but still).
It also is extremely rude of her to use not only her great uncle’s birthday but also a lie about wanting to know her Chinese heritage in order to go to Shanghai to stalk her obsession, I mean crush. This could’ve been avoided if the Dupain-Chengs were going to Shanghai for the purpose of celebrating Wang Cheng’s bday and then Adrien just so happened to be in Shanghai.
Also this means LB left Paris without telling CN! I know CN did the same but again he can’t purify the akumas. Plus he has a reason he couldn’t stay in Paris, Mari just went cause her crush did. Great guardianship there Marinette.
This was also the last time CN actually did something. Even if it was for a short while before LB and her female partner took over (the beginning of a theme…)
Other things:
There are 2 other things that I wanna say but felt they needed a separate bit.
In Furious Fu, Su-Han has a rule book that he uses to tell Marinette which rules she has broken. At the end of the episode he tells her that is she breaks 1 more rule that he will take the Miraculous and the Miracle Box off her, which fair enough but wouldn’t it be helpful to leave the rule book with her?! How can she be wary of not breaking anymore rules when she doesn’t even know what the rules are??
Now the big one: Master Fu…
Where do I even start with him. He is so fucking manipulative!! He is Asian Dumbledore!
He decides to leave these extremely powerful jewels in the hands of 13 year olds! Surely leaving the miraculous to someone in their 20s would’ve been better!
He clearly favours LB over CN even though the Ladybug and Black Cat are supposed to be partners! Wouldn’t it make sense for them both to be in contact with the guardian from the start?? He randomly started introducing rules such as if LB and CN find out each other’s identities they would lose their miraculous… what kind of bullshit rule is that? It also came out of fucking nowhere!
Final Thoughts:
But to summarise all of that: Miraculous is on quite a steep decline but I’m invested at this point and I am genuinely curious as to where the fuck this will go.
Marinette needs professional fucking help before the writers even consider canonising Adrienette cause at the moment she is not what Adrien needs!
Adrien needs to stand up for himself! He needs to pull LB to the side and tell her what he feels and what he’s going through cause he is on the precipice of a breakdown!
(Small point that’s more to do with the fandom: when searching for fanfics it’s really annoying that Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir Bashing is a tag but Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug Bashing isn’t. Why does everyone think Marinette can do no wrong???)
