Hi, hi! I've been reading some of your work and when I saw you had a tumblr I just had to come pay your inbox a visit.

I just wanna say, I really love how you write! It's so, so easy to get immersed in your stories, to the point where something kind of funny happened in my case actually XD

So there I was at midnight, browsing the monster romance side of AO3 when I came across Finally Woken. I was looking something on the shorter word count side, but the summary had me very interested. So I go, hmmm I think I'll just read the first chapter to see how it is and if I like it I'll come back to it tomorrow. I definitely liked it, but wanted just a bit more, so I clicked on the second chapter. Then the third. And fourth. And so on until oops, I binged it and it was 4 am hdjsgaca

And then the next day, I was once again browsing. And came across Don't shoot the messenger. And I go, well last night was a success but tonight I definitely only read the first chapter and then if I like it finish tomorrow. Aaaah the lies we tell ourselves. Did not even notice it was the same author until I was halfway through it. This one I managed to finish before 4 am at least XD

And then! The next day! Once again browsing in bed! I come across Sacrifice! Once again didn't look at the author until later! Take a guess at what happened next, surely you will never expect the outcome! (The outcome was exactly the same. I could not stop reading. My self restraint is in shambles.)

So yeah! I just wanted to one, come and thank you for such wonderful stories, and two, compliment the heck out of your writing skills because your pacing, and atmosphere and descriptions are top notch. Like the sense of anticipation before Satrasi knew what that captain had done was chef kiss, or the sense of dread building up to the ritual and then calm once Tai finds the reader. Or the sense of domesticity as time passes with Heshi.

All reader characters and monsters feel unique as well! My personal favorite story so far is Don't shoot the messenger, Satrasi has me swooning fdhdgzh But honestly I loved all of them so much and they're going to my favorite monster romances stash. Oh also, I'm 100% going to go back and reread, kudos and comment more thoroughly on each story, but I was on another account like a fool the first time I read them all gahdgdh So hopefully you'll see me in AO3 soon as well!

Alright I've been rambling enough already haha, so yeah! Tldr, You're a great author, I am weak and procrastinated going to bed because I wanted to read your stuff, love what you do, take care! :D

Ok so this has been on my mind for a MINUTE. So here’s my school AU! Please ask questions and please add your headcannons too!! If you want more in depth AU headcannons I’d love to write them!

CREEPS SCHOOL AU

JEFF THE KILLER:

Football player and all the girls swoon over him for it. He’s not even the star player?? But hey I guess being a running back is pretty cool? (fuck quarterbacks!!)

Mans barely keeping his grades up

He’s only passing so he can stay on the football team

One of the “popular” guys since he’s just so well known by all the creeps. Everyone sits with him and the football team at lunch

JANE THE KILLER:

Varsity volleyball player and she’s GOOD. Like she’d get a full ride scholarship for college

Star player unlike Jeff

She’s also in Choir! A soprano of course. It’s more of a just for fun thing so she doesn’t take it too seriously but she definitely tries her best (please come to her concerts)

Straight A student. Don’t play with her.

NINA THE KILLER:

Cheerleader!! 100% a flyer. She cheers exclusively for Jeff too. Not quite the cheer captain but close in the ranks. One of the best at tumbling and gymnastics

Social butterfly and everyone knows her. She’s on hoco court for sure.

I feel like she’s always just a little short of the top. Socially, academically, athletically. She just seems to get overshadowed

Pretty decent student, she’s more interested in a social life than academics though.

KATE THE CHASER:

Cross country/ track. She’s set the most records in the school history. She can compete in anything but prefers long distance or sprints

Super humble about her wins and records, not a fan of the spotlight that her athleticism gets her

Pretty damn smart, but she’s quiet about it. People just know she sits in the back and does her work.

High A grades

CLOCKWORK:

Varsity basketball. Definitely a starter too. Combo Guard 100%. She gives me Caitlin Clark vibes?? (look her up she’s badass)

Probably also does track but just because the coaches knew she was tall and she could jump hurdles like no one’s business

On the side she spends a lot of her time in the art rooms since it’s quiet and she gets some alone time

Also a pretty good student, more on the B sides of grades though,

“TICCI” TOBY:

I feel like this kid is in everything for some reason?? But definitely varsity soccer as his main activity. He’s a goalkeeper mainly but he can swing to whatever position you need him to be. He’s probably in bowling with Ben too

But he’s 100% in band too. He plays trombone (the best instrument) he’s in concert band, marching band, and jazz band.

He’s pretty popular too just because he’s cute and pretty much an all rounder

Average student, doesn’t have much time or attention for homework so that’s where his grades fall

TIM/MASKY:

HUNK. This man is the star wrestler of the school. Probably in the 182lbs weight class. People are SCARED to wrestle this man.

Doesn’t talk much, just does his work and gets tf out. Honestly most people avoid him

Pretty good student too, high B’s to medium level A’s

He participates in the field portion of track and field. Loves that he gets to throw shit

BRIAN/HOODIE:

Baseball boy!! Those pants look damn good on him too. Usually a pitcher but sometimes a shortstop. Loves running so this shit is perfect for him. The girls LOOOOVE him. Like imagine Brian in the uniform with that goofy smile???

Also probably in yearbook (if he has time, he gives me lazy vibes)

Decent student too, probably high C’s and B’s

Honestly might dabble in bowling with Ben and Toby

EYELESS JACK:

No sports for him! If he was going to participate in any sports it would probably be swim team? Honestly not a sports guy though

But this man is in the honor society!! Like he’s SMART

Excellent student, like all 100%’s

Everyone comes to him for homework help, but of course he charges

BEN DROWNED:

Varsity bowling!! This man is a NERD and he’s damn good at bowling. Not quite a record breaker but definitely someone scouts look at

He started the team and reps it like no one’s business. He tries to get everyone to join.

He only gets good grades because he cheats

Also the leader of the gaming club!

SALLY:

She’s on the dance team 100%. Loves the outfits and looooves solo’s

But honestly she focuses more on 4H. She focuses on livestock and loves raising sheep. (Yes I know this is more of an out of school activity)

She’s probably in the garden club too! I feel like she just likes agriculture? Everyone gets along with her she’s just a sweetie

Great student! High A’s and she studies all the time

JUDGE ANGELS:

Either in marching band or color guard I can’t really decide. She either plays flute or trumpet! But if she’s in color guard she 100% has a solo/ feature moment in the show

She’s super shy but everyone seems to get along with her because she’s a sweetie #2

I also feel like all the guys try to get with her just because she’s so beautiful

Also a really good student! Studies all the time and probably has a study group

BLOODY PAINTER:

Another non sports guy! Doesn’t have anything against it but it’s just obviously not for him.

He’s the art club leader and takes it super seriously! He tries to get everyone’s art in papers, fairs, and exhibits.

Everyone thinks he’s kinda weird but they respect his dedication to art and others

Another really good student, he doesn’t have to study though

THE PUPPETEER:

School newspaper editor/writer. He knows everything about everyone and has no problem writing a dark column about them

No one talks to him at all, they don’t want him to write about them

He’s also a theater kid, idk he just gives me the vibes

Decent student, he’s just casual about it

JASON THE TOYMAKER:

Non sports guy pt. 197583.

He’s in the sewing club and absolutely loves it. Everyone thinks he’s gay for it though (Jeff teases the shit out of him)

He’s also a theater kid, more on the props side of it though

Also a high B’s student

ZERO:

She’s in ROTC and she makes it her personality

Tries to get Clockwork to join all the time and they’re besties

I feel like she’s kinda dumb so probably high D’s to low C’s

HOMICIDAL LIU:

This man plays golf and he’s super chill about it!

Wears his scarf out on the green lmao

Not popular at ALL and he likes it that way

Elucien braiding or brushing each others hair. I love this headcanon we all collectively have and it's literally my FAVORITE. Anytime I see it, I swoon and lose my mind a little bit. Please, infuse hair intimacy in all your fics. There is never enough.

6. something you see in art a lot and love

I actually really love the diversity in depictions of Elain and Lucien. They definitely have an aesthetic, which is a lot of light and loveliness. You can see how complimentary they are to each other. But I think the thing that makes me the most excited is just how different people draw them every time. There are features that are consistent, but I love that we get a lot of size and hair texture diversity with Elain and color/racial diversity with Lucien. It feels like with them, there is a version of Elucien that fits however you might envision them and there is a lot of representation fans infuse into them that is beautiful I think.

16. a tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate

Honestly, the half step. Maybe it doesn't seem tiny but my heart tells me people don't talk about it enough haha. Because the half step is everything to me! It is the hint we have that Elain feels more for Lucien than she lets on. It's the glimpse we see into the pull she has to him. SJM wrote that scene so cinematically. It's like how you would see a romantic scene play out in a movie. And while there are a lot of great Elucien moments people focus on and write about, that scene to me lives in my head rent free everyday. And I think a lot of people who don't get Elucien and write off their bond just refuse to remember that scene and how significant it was for everything that is hidden right now about Elain's feelings (you can't convince me Elain isn't secretly harboring desires and swelling feelings of longing for Lucien that she keeps denying and fighting).

25. a piece of advice for taking care of yourself in fandom spaces

I have had different experiences depending on the fandom I've been in my 20 years of being a fangirl. But I think the biggest way to take care of yourself is to find your people. Find a core group of friends who you can be your authentic self with. People who you can vent about fandom wank and squee about your OTP. People who will support you and your work/creations. No matter how chill or dramatic a fandom space is, those people are so important for your sanity.

Also - focus on fanworks first and foremost before all the other stuff. I'm always in favor of metas and discourse and being "too serious" about these things we love. None of us would be here if we weren't too extra about all of this and all of those things have a valid, important place in fandom. But creating and making for the fandom and your ship is a balm to the soul when the other things are becoming too overwhelming. It helps keep you grounded when other demons are whispering in your ear, pulling you down with the fandom wank.

think of the headlines: school top beauty now seems to be pissed 24/7, the vice-prez is revealing his charming self, and is the president and school prince now seems to be paranoid at every movement?!?!

ohhhh i can taste the pain suffering comediness understanding to be in the other shoes

IT IS A REFERENCE TO THE DRAW! And you get it Anon!! You so get it!! I kept having ideas of both an outsider's POV and their own POV while drawing them, the comedic & bonding possibilities are ENDLESS

Teru was always popular with guys, but he gets even more when Aoi is in his body, the whole school is lovesick cause he is still beautiful tall, and strong but now he suddenly seems to act even cuter somewhat? Almost domestic...? Feminine...? His voice seemed softer too??

Aoi will flash one of her innocent fake smiles while watering plants and Teru's fans will fall on their knees. They would never touch her cause they aren't worthy, so her fear of being forced into something while in an unfamiliar class fades quickly. She resents that Teru doesn't have the same problem as her despite being even more popular, but she doesn't complain, realizing quickly that everyone stares but no one talks with Teru in the middle of class or seems to know him well.

The president is completely alone.

She is concerned by how Teru's body hurts as well, she can recognize the exhaustion but she can also feel weird injuries, asking for a toilet break to check herself in the bathroom mirror and freezing at the big lightning scars and what seems like maybe a bear claw (?) scar on Teru's shoulder.

The strange creatures around school weirded her out. What is happening?? Does Teru have problems with hallucination?? Oh no, wait, she can actually touch them. Why can she touch them...?

She loves the mokke, think they are very cute and nice to spoil! Every wonder is very alarmed to see Teru’s reluntant tolerance for the mokke grow into a soft spot out of nowhere.

Akane is a strange case, cause he is not the best person to play Aoi's role. He tries his best of course, he doesn't want to ruin his dear Aoi's reputation, but he still has a determination in his eyes that makes Aoi's purple eyes spark brighter than ever. That and the lack of 'Akane' nearby made people want to confess to Aoi even more.

The first boy that went "Aoi-chan you are the prettiest girl in the world, please go out with me!" and received the most openly enraged and disgusted look from their 'cute school princess' instead of her typical smile got so much psychological damage, he wanted to die the second Akane said "Never in a million years! Eat shit and die!"

Everyone was shocked. Nene thought some ghost possessed her friend. Most people started gossiping about Aoi and many guys felt their superficial crush die, but much to Akane's surprise a few guys seemed to fall even deeper in love."You look so cute when you're angry! Please curse me too Aoi-chan!!"

Akane has never been more baffled in his life, slapping the guy's hand away on instinct when he tried to hold Aoi's hand, and being surprised to feel his hand (Aoi's hand) sting while the guy wasn't hurt. It was a strange experience, especially when his attack only made the guy swoon and tease "So feisty~"

"Feisty is your fucking dog you little-" Akane would have jumped on the guy to strangle him (Aoi still had pointy nails he could use, and he knows how to do a mean shoulder throw, he knows if he really tried he can do some damage) but Teru stopped the fight. Teru is so confident and calm and effortlessly charismatic, that the guy harassing 'Aoi' got whiplash, not used to seeing Akane be so... Suave.

Teru will choose violence if diplomacy doesn't work though, he usually uses a sword but his punch is no laughing matter.

Teru is worried about all the trouble Akane's loose tongue would attract while he was in Aoi's body, so he did as the og Akane would and stuck by his side to protect him from creeps, ignoring Akane's claims of not needing Teru's help, he just needed a bat.

And when they all meet each other Akane would have such a hard time with Aoi in Teru's body. He has to train himself to look at Teru's face and say "I love you! Please marry me!" finding a lot of comfort and mushy feelings at the way she still smiled cutely and give him points for his confessions.

People think Aoi has a crush on Teru. They even theorize that could be why she suddenly changed herself so much.

The grapevine is going WILD on the theories!!

Locke the Echidna. He’s Knuckles’ dad. He’s also a badass warrior and a member of the Brotherhood of Guardians, which is like a secret society of echidnas who protect the Master Emerald. How cool is that? But let’s be honest, the real reason I’m obsessed with him is because he’s HOT AF. Like seriously, look at him. He’s got that red fur, those dreadlocks, those piercing blue eyes, those muscles, that chest…swoons. He’s like a dream come true for an echidna lover like me. And don’t even get me started on his personality. He’s so mysterious and brooding and noble and conflicted and…sighs. He’s got that tragic backstory too, you know. He sacrificed himself to save his son from Enerjak, which is like the ultimate act of love. He’s such a hero. I know some of you might think I’m weird for crushing on an echidna, but I don’t care. Locke is my soulmate and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. Maybe he’ll even come back to life somehow and reunite with his son. That would be so sweet. Harvest Moon DS Cute

Commentary- I never actually played this game. I asked for it but my brother got me "Harvest Moon DS" instead, but SKYE is the reason I started playing harvest moon! When I was little I was trying to find games where I could marry and start a family. I found skye and I was swooning instantly! Now that I'm older, im too scared to buy and play the game because what if my fantasy of the guy who started my love of the series doesnt come close to who he actually is?

Harvest Moon : Sunshine Islands

Commentary- THIS was my first harvest moon game! As for Will, I cant remember exactly why I chose him since it was so long ago. Maybe I thought he was cute, I didnt like the other candidates or that I thought marrying him would help my income on the farm (Which it didnt!) But it doesnt change the fact that he'll always have a special place in my heart for being my first Harvest moon husband! I still do think he's a cutie to this day.

Who I thought i would marry - Pierre! I was on the road to him until Will came at the last minute! Lol

Child name- Maulina. I remember before the kid was born, i named my cow malina and i liked the name but i didnt want to name my child after a cow so i spelled it differently. I also remember seeing a "leak" of the child portraits, with will's kid having blonde hair and blue eyes and I thought the name was fitting for that design. I later found out that was not infact an official leak 😅

Harvest Moon : A New Beginning

Commentary - I had no patience to wait for all the bachelors to show up in this game so I regretfully rushed and married the first person that came, Neil. I was never a fan of his tsundere personality but his nervous face did make me smile after the marriage every now and then.

Who I thought I would marry/ Runner up - I remember dating allen in this game but I thought his personality was so horrible after a while I deleted the save file. I do wish I had took the time to get to know Sanjay. Thinking back on it, I couldve possibly liked him if I had talked to hime more.

Child name- I think it was Sage but im not 100% sure...

Story of Seasons

Commentary- My FAVORITE game of the series with my most FAVORITE bachelor! Mistel! His personality got me immediately! I was always caught off guard by him and blushing. Needless to say he's my number 1. With Nadi an extremely close runner up! I actually chose the picture of him that made me like him. The first time I ever saw that smirk, I had an instant crush.

Child name- Surprisingly I never married! It came out when I was in high school and I got too busy but I do sorta remember the names I was going to use! There was 4 names in total since this game gives you twins but I only remember "Drossel and Verona". I guess the art design made me feel like these names were fitting for this game. I also remember wanting to give Nadi's kids a plant based name.

Story of Seasons : Trio of Towns

Commentary- I liked Inari's ears and im a sucker for white hair. Other than that, I just wasnt a fan of any of the other bachelors

Runner up- If Inari didnt exist then I would had chosen Hinata, I like positive energetic characters.

Child name- Kana, After my child in Fire emblem Fates

Story of Seasons : Friends of Mineral Town

Commentary - Kai! I LOVE Kai! I hate putting my favorites in competitions with eachother but Kai is DEFINITELY in my top 3. He's so charming, smooth, funny and charismatic! How could I NOT like him? He's made me blush a few times too. Not to mention we both have the same favorite food!

Runner up- If Kai never showed up, I probably would have gone after Cliff, It made me sad that he came with no family, I wanted to help him go from nothing to a new found expanding family!

Child name- No child name! I got too busy with school again to marry him sadly! Plus I never thought of a name for our future kids.

Story of Seasons : Pioneers of Olive Town

Commentary- Not too much to say here. I liked Jack's normal personality, his events were cute AND he's not too bad looking himself. I never finished the game far enough to marry him.

Runner up- Ralph. I had a hard time deciding between the two. Ralph's events were pretty cute plus I liked his personality.

Rune Factory 4

Commentary- Doug! I didnt expect to like him but I was so caught off guard the first time I saw his introduction! I was like "Woah! Whos that!" He had instantly piqued my interest after that!

Runner up- I remember I had accidentally asked Dylas out in one of my other files. I had no interest in him but seeing that he liked me made me see him differently. I also had another file where I had planned dating Leon but I lost interest in that

Who I thought I would end up with- Before the game came out I looked at everyones Bio and thought I would fall for Vishnal! His design was cute and his personality seemed nice on paper but once I started playing I lost interest fast lol.

"Harvest Moon" : One World

Commentary - Jamil had the best 1st love event to pull me in. It showed how compassionate and caring he is and has to be one of my favorite events I've seen. It had me thinking about him hard enough to leave an impression on me!

Runner up- Sami. I did marry him but Jamil stole my heart.

Who I thought I would marry- Everyone except Braden

Girls

Harvest Moon DS

Commentary- Muffy is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! And has such a cute personality! I could never understand how she had romance troubles. If she were real I'd snatch her up in a heartbeat! Commentary- I feel like If I could, I could write a whole essay about Tina. Im surprised that she's so underrated when she literally started my awakening! Everything about her is so perfect! She made me realize Im a sucker for short hair and her peppy outlook on life and energy made me feel so refreshed. Infact the first thing she ever told me that made my heart flutter was "Let's seize the day!" and she had the cutest little smile. For some reason that moment was a core memory. I just think she's best girl. I started a new save file just for her and Ive never done that before!

In regards to fandom behaviour: Volbeat.

I'm utterly disappointed and disgusted with how a lot of the fandom (I suspect newer, younger fans are the bulk of this group) have acted towards Volbeat, you're not cute or special being disrespectful towards them, and with news they've had to pull out of the next show due to covid, you lot have become next level disgusting, hoping they'll pull out of more shows 'because I only care about Ghost!'

Look I'm not a fan of multi line up shows, but that's because I'm disabled and can't handling being up and active in a concert for hours and hours (I've done it once, I sat underneath a bench while the main act played bc my chronic pain killed me).

You are showing this fandom in a bad light, you are acting like fucking kpop stans with the lack of manners and respect.

I'm not asking you to become Volbeat's no. 1 fan, I am just saying you need to stop with the mocking, as it will effect the two band's relationship with each other.

You do realise the only reason we have a Ghost tour is because the two bands put their finances together? Do you honestly think you would've gotten a solo Ghost tour? Ghost is an Expensive band to tour with all the set pieces and gear, I 100% believe they teamed up with Volbeat to off set venue costs during year 3 of a fucking pandemic.

Also the ageism, who the fuck cares if Volbeat has an older audience, it's not cute to make fun of older people enjoying things? Ghost is a band of people all ages, and let me break your ageist hearts, Aether is in his 40s, are you gonna mock and bully him for being cringe too since he plays around on stage? You do realize that none of the ghouls, apart from Rain, are young right?

What may be the worst part is that if a Volbeat fan turned around and said we were cringe, I know the exact same people would be yelling and crying on twitter about how mean Volbeat fans are.

Grow up, shut up and enjoy Ghost's part of the tour.

I just want to say for the show, if it does turn out not all Prequelle ghouls return, DO NOT go onto their social media and get angry at them, to not go there a guilt bait with “aw I’m gonna miss you!”

Hired musicians move on all the time. They have a right too and with covid, they have every right to do what is right for their health, psychical or mental.

Also, if there is any new ghouls, you DO NOT go on their social media and yell at them for “replacing” your favorite, they did nothing wrong.

You know what I love right now? the idea Copia is OBSESSED with being better than Papa 3

Imagine it, as a lowly cardinal helping Nihil he watches Terzo, he's confident, flirty, charming, handsome, everyone gets along with him, Nihil doesn't hate him. The siblings of sin swoon over him and his 'stupid' jawline (as Copia calls it).

Copia has had to watch this, while he's had to work his way to the top, and what did that even get him? Nihil hates his guts, sure Sister likes him, maybe even a little too much, but many in the Clergy sees that as a negative.

But then, Sister informs him, "it's your turn Copia". It's not an easy road, this hasn't been done before, many object, including Nihil, many are shocked, shocked that the Papas are dead, and even more shocked that Copia is now in charge, they would rebel, but if Sister says it's ok, then what choice do they have?

He finally becomes Papa, over time people grew used to him being in charge, maybe some liked it, in some ways the old Papas become a memory.

But soon it's not enough, he still sees that awkward cardinal in the mirror, he wants more, he wants to be the handsome papa, the one that swoons the clergy, the one that his flock dreams about at night, he wants to be obsessed over.

A little self care is in order, suddenly that once stupid jawline isn't such a bad look, it just had to be on the right person.

He changes his skull paint, get rid of the rat bone nose, no more rat boy, soon it becomes cleaner, almost like his, but it's not, he swears he wasn't inspired at all by him.

Don't dare mention him.

He needs more attire, we wants to look his best at all times, too look confident and sexy. He has intricate suits made, gold lining, flowing fabrics, it suits a man as powerful and attractive as him. His clergy notices how the once awkward rat man walks, with power and weight in his steps. They begin to adore him, or fear him, he can't tell the difference anymore.

As long he is all they think about when they think about Papa.

Austin/Elvis Fandom Edition

Were you an Austin, Baz or Elvis fan before seeing the movie? How about after?

None of the above! I only knew that Austin had been cast to play Elvis, and I assumed he was an indie darling or something, so I was surprised to find out this is really his first leading role and that he was a Nickelodeon star! I'm even more impressed with him now! I go back and forth daily between swooning over him and Elvis. For a brief window of time, I was like, "Well, I only find him attractive AS Elvis," but no, he's a cutie on his own.

I was not a Baz fan either because I didn't think I liked his style. I haven't seen any of his films, but seeing clips made me think he was too maximalist/cheesy for my taste. But when I heard he was doing an Elvis movie, I was like, "Hm. That actually seems like a great fit." So I was excited to see the movie, and I promised my mom we'd go when it came out.

I also didn't know a whole lot about Elvis, though I was already a fan of some of his songs. I had this strange idea that Buddy Holly was superior because he wrote his own music, and I thought everyone was doing the hiccuping style of singing and that Elvis was just the one to get famous for it. It was only after the movie that I learned how many people were imitating Elvis!

What is/are your favorite look(s) that Austin sports in the film?

The lace shirts, especially the pink one and jacket combo on Beale Street, the Trouble suit, and the concho jumpsuit in "Suspicious Minds"/the first performance. I also love those really frilly silk shirts he wears during the Vegas rehearsals.

Most memorable scene or line?

(I almost forgot to fill this out!) So my favorite scenes are things like the Vegas rehearsal/Trouble/the Comeback Special, all the big setpieces. But a moment that I keep coming back to, personally, is the scene where Elvis is singing "I'll Fly Away" with his family before the Hayride. I adore that song, and I love how it was used as an extended metaphor to frame the film. It immediately endeared me to Elvis as someone who loves gospel music and has anxiety. I love how that entire sequence is intercut and we keep going back to see flashes of him singing the song to himself and jittering and feeling like he's getting more confident and feeling like he's at a revival. What are your top 3 favorite songs on the soundtrack?

OK, I want to break this one up a bit. Favorite Austin cover is "Trouble," definitely. I think it's better than the original Elvis recording, which has a more laidback, unbothered vocal style. Austin's has so much attitude and fire that works so well for the scene and sounds amazing.

Favorite Elvis original is "Suspicious Minds." I love how listening to it in isolation you can hear him get out of breath toward the end, really in the music, but also frantic, and that song goes on so long that you have no idea when it's going to end. It's just a great metaphor for what he would be feeling through the Vegas years. I also find it impossible to listen to the original single after listening to live versions. It's so much slower!

Favorite new song is "Vegas," duh.

Favorite remix/duet is "Power of My Love."

And I looooove "Strange Things Are Happening Every Day."

How many times have you seen the film in theaters?

Three! I don't know if I'll get to go another time, but luckily my mom and I are both obsessed, so we're always trying to make an excuse to go again. I've gotten most of my extended family to go too. But like every day, when I see my mom, we'll share random Austin/Elvis videos we've found that are cute or just info-dump some trivia.

What kind of fan content do you like to create/consume? (fics, gifs, ect)

I do a little of everything and a whole lot of nothing. I like writing analysis essays the most and will do gifs/graphics/art on occasion. I don't feel compelled to write fic for this particular fandom, but I like seeing other people's work.

Wherabouts in the world are you from? (be as general or as specific as you’re comfortable with)

The Appalachians.

Are you active in other fandoms? If so, which one(s)?

Batman, Nancy Drew, Phineas and Ferb, the Beach Boys, Bartimaeus, Strange Magic, Doctor Who, Phantom of the Opera ... lots of stuff.

List 3 fun facts about yourself/your interests.

I'm also a super fan of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and see some similarities between him and Elvis. The main difference is that Brian was able to escape his domineering, abusive doctor and is still with us today despite being abused and overprescribed medications. I encourage everyone to watch Love & Mercy, Brian's biopic.

I work as a copyeditor and designer, and I love villain romances!

Even though he's a pure blood, he’s super cute and loves getting to know anything about muggle borns and muggle things;

He’s part veela… so he obviously has girls (and boys) swooning over him all the time;

Could get away with anything because of this, but he doesn’t because he’s too pure to do anything wrong;

Has the most undying loyalty to his friends;

The elves at Hogwarts kitchen totally love him! He doesn’t need to steal food because they give it to Younghoon soooo gladly;

The true embodiment of ‘he protects, but he also attacks’;

Seems tough for a Hufflepuff, but because of his soft nature he does have the tendency to cry a lot depending on the situation. He needs to be protected sometimes. Hyunjae is always there to dry his tears tho;

He’s too clumsy to be around animals and plants for too much time, even tho herbology and care of magical creatures aren’t his worst subject;

Look too soft, but if there's a problem he'll confront it and take action needed - always with good intentions, of course.

HYUNJAE

But I can guarantee you, he’s super funny and a sweetheart to the ones who knows him better;

First day nerves were always the worst.

Whether it was first day of school, first day of a new job, first day at university or, in your case, first day on set, you always got a really bad case of the nervous butterflies. It was just unnerving having to meet new people and try and fit into the way everything worked around here. You were a very social person when you came out of your shell, but you could be a hard one to crack if you weren’t with the right people. Luckily for you this set definitely had the right people. After briefly meeting him on the red carpet for Don’t Worry Darling and then having him text you afterwards, you have to say that now working with Harry Styles seemed like a dream. His music and his charisma shaped him into someone you really liked and really wanted to know more about. He was your all time crush and unfortunately, for you, he’d probably gathered that by now - what with your blushing interview over him.

The weather was beautiful and the buzz on set was amazing. Everyone was rushing around and trying to busy themselves until filming started at 8am. You had just been in hair and makeup and were on your way to set now. The movie wasn’t being filmed in its’ complete order, so the first scene that you were filming was where Flynn climbs up the tower and meets Rapunzel for the first time. Where Harry meets you.

You couldn’t quite believe you were actually here. You were a Disney princess, and your favourite one at that. The purple dress was everything you’d imagined and you felt like a dreamy cloud in it. Your flip flops and robe covered most of your outfit though, to keep you warm until you were needed on set. Instead of going straight inside the filming building, you sat outside on a nearby bench hoping to calm your nerves.

To keep your mind preoccupied you went over and over your lines in your head, cursing yourself when you messed up over something so small. Your fingers picked away at each other, damaging the nail-art that had only recently been put on.

“You’re going to cost the makeup department a fortune if you keep doing that.” You didn’t need to look up to know that it was Harry who was approaching you, but you did anyways. He looked beautiful. His hair was styled the same way as Flynn Ryders and you could see the outlines of his costume underneath the coat he was wearing.

“Oh, sorry.” You laughed nervously, putting your head back down to stop him from catching your blush.

“Hey no need for apologises. Just wanted to make sure you were okay.” He spoke honestly and you felt the warmth of his words spread over your body, like butter on toast.

“Just really nervous.” You admitted shyly.

“Can I…” He pointed towards the bench space next to you.

“‘Course, yes.” You patted the space encouragingly and watched him pull the trousers up from his thighs to sit more comfortably. God, those thighs. You cleared your throat to detach the dirty thoughts from the back of your mind.

It was quiet until he spoke again. “What’s your favourite Disney movie?”

“What?” You asked confused and Harry repeated the question as calmly as he did last time. You expected him to start giving you words of advice, not asking you your favourite Disney movie. “Oh, um, Tangled of course.”

“You know you don’t just have to say that because you’re the lead actress in the movie.” He nudged you with his shoulder, making you laugh as you swayed away and then back to him.

“Yeah I know.”

“Pity.”

“Why?”

“Just would’ve taken you for more of an avid Lion King fan.” He joked, his dimpled smile boasting its’ way onto his cheeky face.

“I am, actually. I just, there’s something about Rapunzel that draws me to her. I don’t know whether it’s her childhood was similar to mine—”

“Wait you were abducted by a weirdly attractive evil woman who claims to be your— wait! So you’re a princess?” Before you can answer he knelt down before you, capturing your hands in his - neither of your missing the tingles of passion when your skin touched skin - and holding them tightly, whilst he began speaking again, “M’lady, forgive me for being so simple.”

“Harry! What are you doing, y’fool?” You laughed at him, trying to get him to sit back next to you as you’d drawn the attention from a few crew members.

“I’m grovelling at the feet of my future Queen.” He said so matter-of-factly you almost, nearly, truly believed him. Chuffing actor.

“Get up you oaf!” And he did with a little more persuasion. “What I meant was that my childhood was quite isolated and lonely - I didn’t have many friends at all.” You spoke from the heart, not expecting Harry’s eyebrows to furrow with confusion or for him to look so sad.

“I’m sorry.” You knew he meant it.

“At least I have Flo, though, now.” You smiled at the thought of your amazing best friend, whom also happened to be Harry’s most recent co-star. Their performances in Don’t Worry Darling were second to none and you were so proud of Flo for delivering such an awe inspiring delivery to her character Alice.

“And me. Don’t forget me.”

“I could never.” You turned to look at him, unprepared to find him staring back at you with hearts in his eyes. You blushed and had to look away, but you rested the side of your head on his shoulder out of natural instinct. It felt right and it felt comforting. “Thank you, though Harry.”

“Always.” He rested his head back against yours, both of you just watching the busy people prepare for your first scene. The nerves had gone though, now, and you were feeling more at peace with yourself - and with him. “Oh and Y/N?”

“Yeah?”

“I think that you’re drawn to Rapunzel, because she embodies your courage, kindness, beauty and compassion.” Your heart swelled at his words. You never thought someone could think of you this way, let alone Harry. You pushed your head tighter against his shoulder, wanting him to wordlessly know that you were really grateful for him.

“Smooth, Harry!” He laughed with you, “How long have you been rehearsing that?”

“Too many other lines to remember to be learning them ones too. That, Y/N, was all ad-lib.” And your heart swooned a little more again. He was just so perfect and he made you feel safe. There wasn’t a good enough phrase or word in the English dictionary to justify how good of a person he was or how much he meant to you.

“You’re too good.”

“Too good to maybe ask you out for a drink after today?” You brought your head away from his shoulder in shock from what he just asked. Harry, the Harry Styles, was asking you, Y/N L/N, out for a drink. What?

“No, I think i’ll let you take me out for a drink.” You smiled at him, admiration sitting heavily in your eyes that there was no way he could miss it.

“Yeah?” His eyes glinted back at yours.

“Only if you stop with the compliments, i’m so bad for accepting them.”

“Hmm, no can do.” You rolled your eyes and reached over to take his hand in yours and he instantly linked his fingers with yours. It felt right. Warm. Safe.

“Fine, but don’t be alarmed if I just jump you for being too nice to me or something.” Your words came out faster than your brain could process and your eyes widened once you realised what you’d just said to him. You’d just threatened to jump Harry Styles. Fuck sake. And now he wad laughing, at you or with you you didn’t know.

“Alright, but you don’t be alarmed if I do nothing to stop you.”

Now you understood why he didn’t need to ask what was wrong or if you were okay, his presence was comforting enough to make your nerves dissipate and focus on the only thing that now mattered; him.

The theater screen gets splattered with blood, and instead of holding his arm like Chan hoped, you squeal with delight and reach for another handful of popcorn. Chan’s first date plan has been effectively ruined because he didn’t know you were also a horror movie fan. You keep one eye on the feast of human flesh as you sip the shared soda.

“Practical effects are so fun,” you remark.

A flying machete lands squarely inside the zombie’s chest, and you grin as the main character rips it out.

Chan motions for you to pass the gummy worms. “Yeah, they are.”

minho - dance the night away

Your cousin’s beach wedding has an open bar, which partially explains why you agreed to dance with a stranger. The other reason is because said stranger is really cute. He’s an excellent dancer too, and if that isn’t enough to make you swoon, then the three mojitos you had prior, will. You sway on your feet, giggling as he catches you before you fall.

“Easy there.”

Aw, you’re so sweet Anon! This is a lovely ask! I’m so sorry that you’re family weren’t receptive to your new tattoo. That’s terrible, and I hope this makes you feel a bit better!

So, I’m assuming you meant an MC with a large tattoo on their back? If not, feel free to tell me and I’ll make a new hc! This hc has a reader with a large back tattoo and/or multiple tattoos. To be honest, it doesn’t really make a difference to him.

He didn’t fall in love with you for your physical looks, so it doesn’t really affect him much.

That doesn’t mean he won’t find it lovely though.

He admires the time you had invested in this, along with the fact you felt so strongly about a particular subject/object, that you had it permanently inked on your body.

If you feel self-conscious about it, he won’t stare, but his eyes stray to it from time to time, admiring the details of it.

But if not, congratulations! You have the avatar of pride enamored with your tattoo(s).

If you’re ever stressed, he’ll sit you in his lap and trace over your tattoo(s), attempting to calm your nerves.

All the while whispering words of affirmation.

Any time you’re feeling insecure of your tattoo(s), Lucifer’ll make sure to praise you, something rare from him.

In S3, he has one while in the human world, so he’d probably find it pretty cool that you have one(+).

Why would he think of you differently because of it?

He’s fairly curious though.

Doesn’t it hurt? How long did it take for you to get it done?

He doesn’t really care if you do or don’t have a tattoo, and won’t pay it any special attention unless you ask.

Your determination, patience, and tenderness are traits that attracted him to you.

But if you have a tattoo of anything cow related...

He may feel a bit smug

Wait, can you elaborate on the "Hugo knew how to make a fandom, so this isn't an accident" comment? did he really or were you just joking?

No I meant that ! And I can try to elaborate !

..I already know this will run long so

All right, I know there’s a lot of debate about what exactly “ fandom” is, so let me define my own terms here first. I’d say, as a rough outline, fandom is

- (a) a community united by an enthusiasm for a specific media/ cultural event ( one person alone might be a fan, but fandom requires multiple people in dialogue with each other)

- (b) in a society where there is some concept of media and cultural events having an “ owner” or originator and some sacredness to that “ canon” , as well as some legal/ social barriers to other people claiming the full creative status of the originator.

...That sounds fancier than I want it to. What I mean is, people passing on and adapting oral traditions aren’t being fandom, there’s none of the sense that they’re altering some more “ real” or authoritative original. People riffing on “ The Odyssey” now might be Doing a Fandom , though, regardless of the fact that the Odyssey is wayyyyy out of copyright, bc the difference isn’t just the law on its own, but the concept of how the audience stands in relation to the work. I hope that’s clear!

Anyway!

Hugo always fully banked on being a popular artist; his was one of the first generations to really be able to do that, with really mass literacy and cheaper printing and all, and with the sharp decline of the old patronage models (and all of this is SO simplified aaah , but I’d need to spend a Media Studies degree to go into it properly).

But France at this point really did not have the kind of PR machines and systems in place that we take for granted now, or even the sort that were around in, say, the mid-20th century. An artist could print out flyers and post up playbills, but by far the best and most important promotional tool for an artist to channel on their way to the top was word of mouth.

And of course about the best way for an artist to get consistent word of mouth was to encourage a community of enthusiasts dedicated to their work! A lot of artists realized this; but Hugo was really, really good at implementing it.

So: people sending him fan letters? Awesome, he tried to answer as many as possible and then some! Some young fans want to stop by the house? he’s there! A group of broke students need tickets to one of his plays? If they can get word to him, they can get the tickers-- and that’s easier than you’d think, because Hugo had a lot of young BNF types deputized to act for him on this kind of thing , out socializing at all the usual places people socialized.

And honestly if anything I’m making him sound more mercenary about all this than he was-- Hugo was a keen business person about his art, but he was also really sincere in his beliefs about the social power of art and artistic communities. Many people who started out Hugo’s fans became his actual for-real friends (and also, then as now, the fan-to-creator pipeline was Strong), Romanticism in France was a “ school” and a philosophy as much as anything...

but also there was a word coined for Hugo fandom in the papers (Hugolâtres, riffing on idolâtres, or idolaters) , young men with no pretense of ever being writers shaved their foreheads to get more of that Hugo Look, young women swooned and sent him love letters, people gushed about him in letters to journals, people wrote what can only be called fanfic--sequels and prequels and what-ifs based on his work, not meant for profit, only to share with friends--

and he absolutely encouraged all of it, and was very good at doing so. He would not be at all surprised to find out we’re still fannish about his work 150 years on; he’d probably only be confused that so much of his fandom now is English-based:P

Not the End | Kuroo Tetsuro

Pairing: Kuroo x Reader (female)

Genre: heart warming fluff tehe

Author’s Note: Literally one of my most favorite things I have ever written so I really hope you guys like it too~!! 🥺🥰🥰time to embrace canon kuroo and make more fluff, even if it means breaking a 4th wall or 5th wall- dedicated to haikyuu, thank you for everything

He knocked repeatedly on the door as clouds casted by in the sky, blocking out the sweltering summer sun

He wore a white oversized t-shirt with the periodic table on it and black jeans

“Where is she?” He thought to himself as he spammed your doorbell, hearing the chime echo inside yet there was no movement to be seen

He glanced at his watch seeing the time

He fortunately came early but if you didn’t come out now, the window of extra time would be shutting

He was growing just the tiniest bit antsy since he had been dreaming about this date for so long and now that it was summer and volleyball was over, he had the time

Tickets were hard to get for these museums he had planned and he had a whole day planned down to every hour

It was early in summer so it was perfect, not too scorching hot

He couldn’t wait anymore and pulled out your spare key from your flowerpot, putting it back neatly as if it was never touched

“Y/N?” He called, his strong voice echoing into what seemed like an empty house

He slipped out of his shoes and made his way upstairs, almost always finding you there if you never answered the door, his calls, or anything

Your bedroom was like your sanctum having all that you needed- an air con fan, tv, surround sound, and most importantly, your bed that you had all to yourself

approaching your bedroom, the door cracked open, he could hear the faintest sound of music playing

“Oya?” He knocked on your bedroom door as he pushed it open, relieved to find you

But he didn’t know how to feel seeing you curled up wearing his stolen hoodie, still in bed when you knew about the time for today’s events

“Hey, what’s up? We have to get to the station-“ he paused when he saw you look up to him, uncurling your face from your pillow

Your eyes were red and cheeks tear stained, matching your pillow cover that you hugged

“K-Kuroo...” you sobbed, inching yourself in your little ball form toward him as he sat on the edge of your bed, the mattress dipping beneath his weight

“W-what is it?” He was surprised as you laid your head on his lap

His mind went frantic as he went through your messages in his head, trying to remember if it was a certain day he missed- it wasn’t anyone that he knew of’s birthday, not an anniversary date or anything

Why were you so heartbroken?

Your eyes glistened from the sunlight in the room as you teared up once again, little wet drops forming on his jeans

“R-remember that manga and anime I was watching?” You sniffled as you sat up, your pillow in your lap and your fingers playing with the hem of it. “The volleyball one?”

“Yeah, did a character die or something?” He tried to make light of the situation and it worked, just the slightest but your emotions were getting the best of you

“No, but the last chapter of the manga came out…” tears dripped off your chin as you swallowed a hardened lump in your throat, the words aching as you spoke

listening carefully, he could hear you were listening to a slowed down version of one of the opening themes- he only knew this because of how many times you would put on the themes while riding in the car

but this was the slowed down version, or as you called it the “moonlight version,” and it was setting the mood for you, making you more sad

Kuroo remembered the day back in junior high/ end of grade school when you started following this manga about volleyball

“You need to stop listening to this, it’s just making you sadder,” he laughed awkwardly, pausing the song that was playing on loop. he knew this volleyball anime/manga meant the world to you, but not like this

Your eyes lit up when you read or talked about it to him and he asked you why not play for the girls’ team but you settled on being the manager for Nekoma instead, wanting to cheer them on and also being with kuroo and kenma and all your other close friends on the team

It made him feel like you loved the show and manga more than him sometimes and it kinda hurt since they were fictional characters and he was your boyfriend, a real life actual volleyball player

“All the characters got their story, they grew above and beyond, and the main character was finally able to make it to the world stage with his partner from the high school team and- “ your voice cracked as you spoke, the wound reopening, fresh in your chest as everything you read, everything you watched, all the glorious moments came rushing through your mind

Everything you fell in love with for the past eight years came rushing back and you loved it all so much, it made you so warm but it also hurt thinking about how there wouldn’t be any more to it

You wanted to curl into a hole and rewatch and reread everything as much as you could

No more chapters, most likely no more official arts- all you had left was the animated show that would be continuing and finishing in a couple months

“Kuroo, I don’t want it to end,” you sobbed, your hair falling, hiding your face

He didn’t miss how your knuckles turned white as you gripping your pillow, only able to imagine the heartache you were feeling

he knew very well how much this all meant to you, all the rants and extensive conversations you had with him, begging him to watch the show- especially because of a bed headed character that was just like him

you reminded him so much of kenma- you talked, read, and watched everything about this story like kenma when he got a new game or was watching hinata play volleyball

You want to see more, hear more of the voice actors, the characters growing. You want to be beside all of them and see their story to the very end

All the antics between the characters that made you break into a smile or fits of giggles, all the cheers made for the different teams in your manga/anime- all were so addicting

“Hey, shhh,” he pulled you gently into his embrace, one hand holding the back of your head, the other rubbing down your back. “I know you don’t but all good things must come to an end, right?”

He glanced at his watch just the slightest bit, seeing the time, relieved to know he still had enough

“Look on the bright side; you were able to read and watch it while it was still being made, you got to anticipate the next chapter and episode, seeing all the characters develop and become great people who’ve had such a great impact on your life.”

He pulled you back and wiped your tears away on your cheek

“This may be the end of the story, but it’s not the end for you; everything will live on inside of you, right?” He held your face in his hands, making sure his words got to you

“It won’t be the end of your life, or any of your favorite characters’. The story you were presented with came to an end but their lives are still going, just like yours.”

You buried yourself into his arms, muffling your cries into his neck as he chuckled, holding you

“Come on, get dressed and I’ll make sure all this sadness you’re feeling will go away. I’ll be the wind that’ll shift the storm cloud brewing above your head,” he stood up, still holding you and setting your feet on the ground

“I won’t let you be sad, not on my watch, chibi-chan,” he looked down to you with a smile as he pat your head. “Your body won’t even realize L-trytophan’s being converted into L-5OH-trytophan, converting serotonin by an aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase.”

The gawk you had made him let out his hyena laugh, just hurting his pride ever so slightly that he had made one of the smoothest lines in love-history and you didn’t even swoon

“I’m gonna make happy chemical in your body make your heart go doki doki,” he put simply to which you nodded, breaking in to a laugh, calling him a nerd under your breath as you changed

But he was your nerd, and he was right

No matter where you were in life, you got to have this special manga and story in your life and experience it first-hand whereas others were missing it

Everyone lives on, even if you can’t see them
