The next day after he made coffee for Diaz to start the truce they needed to go through the weeks of working together, Buck found himself in Bobbie’s office again.

“No one heard any screams or sounds of a fight yesterday, and you both are alive so I guess you two finally bonded?” Bobby asks the moment they both sit in the chairs like two days before.

“Well, it’s hard to call it a bond, but we made a truce till we work with a song,” Buck answers when Diaz nods to his words.

“I would prefer the truce to stay after too,” Bobby stays up and moves to his coffee maker. “Buck out milk latte, Eddie just black?” He looks at them from the corner and they send him “yes”.

Buck would always be impressed by how fantastic a person Bobby is. And how he really cares about his singers and musicians. No other boss could tell you what coffee you drink and make it for you.

“Let’s not run too fast, Bobby. Let us end the song and we can talk about prolonging the truce” Diaz says and Buck agrees.

For now, they can promise only weeks for songwriting and recording. But working with Diaz after their little high school experiences sharing wasn't really bad. Buck with bitterness can admit it really felt good. No other musicians or singers were ever so interesting to work with.

Diaz is a talented asshole, and he quickly understands Buck’s even really raw ideas he can’t even normally verbalize.

Maybe, if this jerk would stop being so not real and drive Buck crazy constantly they can co-exist in the label more peacefully after doing too.

Well, perhaps they should try if they don’t want to work together again to save their image.

“I’ll take what I can have for now,” Bobby comes back to the table with two mugs and gives them to them, then takes the tupperware from the little fridge he has here and puts it between them. “Found a new receipt yesterday. Made too much for Athena and kids, so I decided to take some to my work kids too. Eat and listen to our next moves.”

You never should tell Buck twice to eat if he can eat Bobbie’s food.

The first bite of fantastic chocolate cookies makes Buck almost moan from the deep and rich taste. Cookies literally melt in his mouth and with an oat milk latte, this is the perfect breakfast even if not the healthiest.

Looking at his side Buck can say Diaz enjoys cookies no less. Well, at least they can have another thing to talk about. How blessed they were with Bobbie’s love of cooking.

Bobby sits looking at them proudly and fondly with a little smile on his face for a second then starts.

“Happy you both enjoy it,” then he puts the smile down, changing it to his professional manager's face.

“Hen has some planned content for your accounts you would need to post. Also if you can post something while working together to make it more real it would be fantastic. Hen will talk about it with you later. Next, tomorrow you two will be guests on Taylor’s Kelly show,” Diaz makes an offended sound on that.

“You have problems with this Eddie?” Bobby raises his eyebrow and looks at brown-eyed like an angry parent and Buck feels smug like a sibling watching the other one being grounded.

“I’m ok with it all, but should we actually go to the show of that redhead? She’s the most unprofessional and rude interviewer I've ever worked with. I still can’t understand how she got her show.” Diaz rolls his eyes. “Could we have some other variants?”

“No, Eddie, sorry. Her show is one of the most popular now, and it’s the best option to close the gossip about your fight so fast.”

Diaz rolls his eyes again.

“I’m sure Taylor is not bad,” Buck intervenes in the conversation. “She seemed interesting and professional. She is also really principal and chases her goals.”

“If by principal you mean she’s ready to walk over anyone to get the information she wants, put to pour a ton of dirt on people just for the sake of information and to get into the personal lives of people who have specifically said MORE THAN ONCE that this is CONFIDENTIAL information, then yes. She is principled. This woman once was ready to pay my bodyguard to find out if I’m single or not,” Diaz says it all, and Buck can feel the poison in his voice and he can't help but feel sorry for Eddie.

Taylor can really be willing to do a lot for the sake of information. He knows his experience when she tried to know more about Bobby from him. But he didn't know that she could do something like that. It's overstepping the bounds completely. It's a good thing they didn't start anything after their hook-up in the bar.

I’m a new fan (yes a post Bi Buck binge watcher, just finished season 5 yesterday ((yes I have a lot of free time)).

And this is definitely opening up old discourse, so feel free to disregard.

But. I struggled so hard to like Taylor. I tried desperately not to do the “toxic slash shipper who hates the girlfriend” thing, but I just could not like her with Buck. I think as a character, she was great! Love a motivated girlboss who pushes buttons, but not so much when she’s being girlboss mean to her boyfriend. (Not that Buck didn’t deserve it once or twice for his late season 5 bs)

But I just don’t know what it was about Buck and Taylor specifically that I didn’t like. I liked Ana and Eddie. I even liked Ali and Buck.

What was the general fandom temperature regarding Taylor and Buck during Season 5?

so first of all, welcome to the fandom, hope you can find fun people to hang out with 💛

mind you, I wasn't around during season 5, I was lurking in the trending tags so I kinda knew what was going on with buddie in general lmao but I only actually watched the show in august (took me less than 2 weeks to binge it all the way through, so believe me I know how you feel) but Taylor Kelly is... well.

let me just start by saying that I love Taylor, but she feels like she's been written by two different writers room (which is actually kind of the cast because Tim wasn't around during season 5) and while I love her bossy, career driven characteristics, I felt mad about how dirty she was done.

and not even because Buck kissed some else, but because she straight up said (paraphrasing) "you cheated on me? i don't think you should've told me about it, that's not why i'm mad" and like. what?

for a strong, confident woman in a committed relationship to just say it's okay if you cheat on me, I don't care, just don't tell me? ngl that gutted me a little bit.

aside from that, Taylor and Buck was never going to work, partially because they are too similiar (work oriented, childhood trauma and abandonment issues that neither of them worked through, implied that they both had a bit of a slutty phase, etc) and partially because their moral codes are the thing that differs the most.

which we knew to begin with; Taylor was introduced as someone who would exploit Bobby's acid trip about his dead family to get ahead in her career. that is a good enough reason not to like her and I personally think that Eddie had his reservations about her for that exact reason.

they both live for their jobs, but Taylor is in it for the chase, the excitement, the recognition; Buck is in it because being a hero and helping people is his life. very stark difference.

Buck also jumped the gun with the moving, right after doing something that you don't normally do when you feel like taking the relationship to the next level. so he kinda put a strain on the relationship even though it seemed otherwise at the time.

then of course Taylor lied to him about working on the story, though she only broke it after they caught Jonah, so people saying that she endangered Hen and Chim are weird, unless they're implying that she followed them and didn't call 911? which would be a choice...

but back to fandom's reception of her and how you don't like her with Buck. you don't have to like her at all tbh, not every character or dynamic will be likable to everyone and that's fine, it's only an issue when people spend their time on hating a fictional character instead of focusing on the ones they like and when they send hate to the actors portraying them... which is something that as far as I'm aware happened to every single actress/actor who played a love interest to Buck or Eddie on the show.

this fandom hates women in general, just look at how most people talk about Shannon, Maddie, Abby, Ana, Taylor, Natalia, Marisol... like. characters are flawed that's why they're interesting, but hating them for having to make decisions in difficult situations? or for literally nothing but dating one of the guys as is the case of Ana and Marisol (though Marisol's actress is a vile human being and her character has a seemingly weird bond with her brother, so there is that).

I'd argue that Taylor is the most hated female character on the show and I regularly see posts that feature her with tags like "taylor kelly jumpscare" and such which I just find excessive...

um, give me a plot where she used to be this s.exy, wild girl and had a bad boy boyfriend to match but when he turned eighteen he was caught for some cr.ime and sent to pris.on for a couple years. he came out fully expecting for her to be waiting for him but when he finds her she’s this prim and proper girl who is dating some pretentious ivy league di.ck. she pretends to be happy with her vanilla, boring relationship, but soon he wraps her up in his world again.

y’all. i need an ‘i’ve got no where to live, so i went to a fancy hotel pretending i’m rich & fancy af, and pretended to be your wife in order to get the key to your room. but please don’t yell and kick me out when you see me laying in your bed with your robe on while watching pay per view on the tv and eating the mini bar snacks. but wait, this works out in your favor? now i have to actually pretend to be your wife so your crazy mother will get off your back about marriage? as long as i get to keep all the clothes you buy me’ plot.

basic plot idea where my muse is kind of cold and unaffectionate with anyone, but is friends with your muse who recently went through a bad breakup. my muse suggests or agrees to fake being in a relationship with your muse to make their ex jealous. but then my muse starts to like the fake relationship a little too much and falls for yours

*whispers* single dad ( hell maybe not so single dad ) & nanny plot. where she’s got the biggest infatuation with him and he’s trying his best to ignore how good she looks in her short skirts and dresses. her “accidentally” bumping into him in nothing but a towel. late nights completely tired after getting the baby to bed and falling asleep on the couch together. her finally showing up in his bedroom in nothing but li.ngerie ;)

but like imagine you and best friend luke are just on his bed tickling each other and play fighting and then suddenly he flips you over onto your back and pins your arms above your head and he’s all smirking because he knows you wont be able to get away and your tshirt is after riding up and he gives you this wicked grin and starts blowing raspberries on your tummy and you’re giggling and squealing telling him to stop because it tickles but he just continues, but soon his raspberries turn into kisses that trail down your stomach towards the hem of your sweatpants and he looks up at you through his eyelashes as if looking for approval and you just nod your head and he starts tugging your sweats down and let’s just say you’re not exactly just friends after**

what about a s.ugar baby plot where she used to be st.ripper/ca.ll girl that is given the opportunity to drop that job in order to be full time for her high paying client. she goes from living pay check to pay check to going on vacations in ex.otic places and drinking the finest of champagne. the lifestyle is almost addicting to her so when he asks her to be his girlfriend she doesn’t think twice?? it isn’t until other girls flirt with him that she realize that feelings might be involved :))

can i pls have a plot where the guy is like a street figh.ter but he’s rly rly good and he’s trying to make an actual career out of it and actually joins a boxing gym to train and fight professional boxers but in comes the worried ex-girlfriend who’s trying to talk him out of everything and they still have feelings for each other but he’s always trying to convince her that he’s no good for her and like pushes her away constantly but he also knows he can’t live without her and she can’t live without him so she eventually decides to support him even though she’s still lowkey against it all so she goes to his fights and stuff and makes him his breakfast and does his laundry and takes care of him but there can be like arguments and lots of crying when he comes home every night with fresh w.ounds and b.ruises!!!!! imagine the angst and tears and kissing and s.ex and yelling pls gimme gimme

someone should give me a plot with this big bad ga.ng leader and his super soft and cute girlfriend that has him wrapped around her finger. like he’s a feared man, which she doesn’t really care about. and she’s there to patch him up and while he usually tries to hide her away from the cruel world he’s in whenever he isn’t there with her, she just patiently waits for him when he’s out and about doing his business and he’s so fascinated by her and no matter how much of a bad guy he is, he’s just so soft for her and he’d do anything for her!!! and then his most precious possession gets k.dnaped and shit goes down snsnsns

an actor or musician who kno.cks up a one night s.tand/fling while he’s shooting on location/on tour and they decide to keep the baby and co-parent platonically but she wants their kid to have a normal life so they keep their baby a secret from the press. they manage this for years, him flying out to visit when he can but he starts to get more famous and people start digging into his past and they’re exposed and have to deal with the fall out and also!! possible!! feelings!! for each other!!

okay so um i need a plot where this like young precious innocent lil cinnamon roll of a girl somehow stumbles upon some kinda se.xy chatroom thing (that may or may not be p.rison/inm.ate related) and starts chatting with this older guy who’s in prison (bc he was in a ga.ng or dr.ug ring or something, nothing too crazy ok) and they spend like months chatting pretty soon he convinces her to send him pictures and he gives her like d.irty little ‘missions’ (like wear vib,rating panti.es to college and take nud.es in public places and stuff like that) and then he eventually gets out of pri.son and they meet but she’s still a vi.rgin and he’s spent months not getting any and like can i please just have this debauchery

a f.ucked up modern day marriage plot where a rival m.ob boss marries his daughter, muse a, off to muse b to calm the tension between the families. at first they hate each other, but once forced to live together, they start warming up to each other, too stubborn to let it show. then one night he comes back from an important deal gone wrong, his face is f.ucked up and he’s feverish and she takes care of him all night and etc etc etc…i need it?

okay so i read a fanfic with this plot and i can’t stop thinking about it and i really would love to do it with someone if anyone is interested! basically, muse a and muse b have been best friends their entire life, they were always that duo everyone thought would end up together but things never went in a romantic route ( other than a few drunk kisses they never talked about throughout their late teens ) and now muse a has been dating his girlfriend for the last two years but was still just as close with muse b despite his girlfriend’s hidden jealousy. they’re now in their mid-twenties and muse a really wants to have a child and to start a family but his girlfriend is unable to carry them due to medical reasons. the topic of surrogates is brought up when he and muse b are hanging out one night and since she would do anything to make her best friend happy, she offers to carry his baby. after a sperm donation and a visit to the clinic, muse b finds out two weeks later that she’s pregnant and muse a couldn’t be happier and believes his girlfriend is just as over the moon as he is. unfortunately, she isn’t. it’s not until muse b is over four months pregnant that his girlfriend drops a bombshell – she doesn’t want to be a mother and she thought that she’d change her mind as things went further along but she can’t. the break up comes next and overwhelmed by the turn of events, muse b starts to panic and wonder what the hell she’s going to do. even though half of the baby’s dna is her own, she hadn’t been prepared to actually raise it but luckily muse a doesn’t bring up his expectations on the matter. he still wants to be a dad but doesn’t want to make muse b feel any pressure to be by his side when the baby is born. they don’t talk about it for the next few weeks and as time goes on, they get closer. muse a is super supportive and involved with the pregnancy, making sure to go to the doctor appointments with her and prenatal classes. he brushes off her mood swings and when she’s craving chocolate cupcakes at two in the morning, he doesn’t think twice about getting up and going to the store to get them for her. feelings start to develop and muse b comes to the conclusion that she’s inlove with him and thinks she always has been, despite wanting to push those feelings away when they were growing up. muse b also realizes that she wants to raise the baby with him and after an emotional conversation and mutual confessions come to light, they end up sleeping together and all seems like it’s falling into place. it’s not until the morning after that muse a gets a phone call from his ex, who suddenly has a change of heart and wants to get back together. to be a mother like they had originally planned… drama ensues.

when the m.ob princess meets the m.ob prince: forbi.dden love is always angsty so why not do that and add rival g.angs to the mix? muse a is the daughter of the head boss of the local g.ang and is sick and tired of having her life controlled by her overprotective father. so, to rebel against his wishes after an argument, muse a decides to go to a nightclub that her father had always f.orbidden her to attend. unknown to her, the club is run by the rival ga.ng’s boss’ son, muse b, and not knowing who she is, can’t stop looking at her on the dance floor. they eventually bump into each other and after having a few drinks, end up at muse a’s apartment and they ho.ok up. i was thinking they both never brought up their families and their true professions and maybe start to hang out/go on dates and then bam, the truth comes out and drama begins. especially when they can’t stay away from each other.

a plot where he’s a little too old for her but she doesn’t care. he thinks she’s immature and too reckless with her behavior. but she’s he.llbent on proving him otherwise. so she applies for the position of his new personal assistant and he can’t help but appreciate her determination. of course he hires her but he does nothing short of giving her a hard time because this is her first job and she has no idea what she’s doing. but crap he finds her crying in the bathroom and his first instinct is to hold her and comfort her. he can’t believe he’s the cause of this and wises up fast. also maybe it has to do with his now urge to protect her.

i need a famous ship where they’re both insanely busy with album recordings & red carpets & tours & they’re trying to make this whole long distance relationship work but with the time differences & going months without seeing each other it’s difficult, not to mention all the rumors & shit. but then there’s all the cute things like showing up on tour to surprise each other & going to award shows together & just finally seeing each other again after going so long with only facetime dates, missed calls, & late night texts to get them by. honestly idek where i’m going with this i just know that i really want it ??? but like this or message me & we can figure everything out k cool

Ok so hear me out. The verse where she talks about how wonderful the guy is I feel could go towards any of them.

So, here’s the thing. I have gotten this question a lot because it’s my only mutli-part fic, and a lot of people have read it. I’m not going to say that it will never be continued because I have no clue how I’ll feel in the future. But at the moment I have no plans to continue it. It was supposed to be a kind of canon-compliant work, and the show went in such an opposite direction and I just completely lost motivation for it.

The good news is that if you like my writing for Buck and Eddie, I’ve got five other completed works for them on ao3!! Plus I’ve got a few other unposted WIPs and I adore writing prompts. My ask box is literally always open and I would love to do a prompt fic for anyone. I don’t typically do fics with chapters because I always lose interest, but I will straight up post 100k one shots.

Lot’s of mutual pining, mots of firefam feels, and if you like the Friend!Taylor Kelly teasing Buck for his very obvious crush on Eddie, then good news: theres plenty of that in here too.

this was written pre-bucktaylor and in it Buck and Taylor are platonic (and chaotic) best friends, Taylor is significantly less selfish, and Eddie gets extremely jealous of her presence in Buck’s life and can’t figure out why he’s so upset (spoilers: it’s because he has a huge crush on buck)

Never Let You Go (2.8k)

This one was a prompt fill where Buck and Eddie end up in a car accident, and Eddie panics and confesses his love and Buck gets injured. (happy ending tho)

some things you just can’t speak about (1.1k)

This one isn’t really a full fic. It was written immediately post 4x13 and is kind of a missing scene in the hospital after Eddie is taken in where Buck cleans the blood off of him. This fic is pretty sad, so if you like angst, check it out! (ambiguous ending)

Idrk what's the problem with these actresses fr. it all started with Ana and her actress istg I can't even see her face without feeling rage dmgsktkgs

we actually had a huge fight with Carla's actress too, now that I remember lol.

the funny thing with the Buck and Lucy mess is that you/we can actually see how that was supposed to end.... with them sitting besides each other at the HenRen wedding and everything.

after the finale, some actors posted pics on insta welcoming her (Lucy/Arielle) to the ~~family~~ so we assumed she was there to stay but! that also didn't happen.

also, the BuckTaylor relationship wasn't supposed to last that long lol (even though their 3 fans who thought they were endgame). back after Brawl in cell block there was a ~~fake~~ synopsis that talked about Eddie and Taylor butting heads over something. so there were theories about Taylor making a coverage on the whole thing outing Mitchell as the donor. we thought /that/ was supposed to start the problems between Buck and Taylor, and their eventual break up, but the synopsis was debunked (?) and so we were ~~blessed~~ with more of them together.

a whole thing happened with ghost stories too, we had a synopsis and a promo, it was supposed to be a Halloween ep and then! they changed everything. we were supposed to see the case of a girl who lived alone who thought there were ghost in her house but in reality it was a dude living in her attic or something, and instead we had a chapter full of Taylor Kelly... is the worst rated ep in IMDb to this day...

ALSO, someone was supposed to die in the last ep lmao. the articles talked about a big loss and I'm not gonna lie we hoped that big loss was Lucy 🤭😶

Hello all, First and foremost, happy birthday Dix, I love you so much. We have a new addition to the email chain, everyone please welcome Kiley Clifford, who had absolutely no idea that I was going to add her to this newsletter when I sent her my "How to Date In Boston" pdf. I'm hoping she reads it considering Miss Clifford is a full time dental student. Kiley, if you're reading this, welcome! We also have Kelli, my coworker, and Mark, my other coworker. We’ve also removed a few people on the basis that I don’t like them and by association, you don’t like them.

To start off the email, I want to explain that when I sent out the dating guidance...I didn't expect the positive feedback. I feel like at the end of the day, it just emphasizes that I am the most 'Type A' person in all of Boston, and how it's probably my only flaw. As someone who's best friend is always late or goes with the flow, I have had to adapt to a personality that just isn't me, and it's so funny because I was literally talking to her about it the other day (she's the only person I'd even consider being late for). Thomas tried to roast me for putting Scorpion Bar on there like it was for going out on a Friday night and not for a Tuesday 6:30pm date. Thomas is literally leaving at the end of the month so his opinion is not welcome on the basis that he broke my heart. Imagine, me, going through my Saturday call list (typically, Anthony, Allen, Thomas, Pat, Xavier, not in that order) and him answering the phone with, "Did Anthony tell you?" The way my heart dropped when he told me he was moving to North Carolina. I'm not going to discuss 7 leaving yet because I'm still in denial that I won't have my best friend with me.

I don’t think people understand how heartbroken I’ll be once 7 and Thomas are gone. I spend 4/7ths of the week with her & half the time we don’t even plan anything we just hang out. We literally do everything together and if we miss each other after 2 minutes now, what am I going to do when she’s in NYC. I’m not discrediting everyone else, don’t get me wrong, I have so many friends and I really don’t want any more, but you have only a few people you can do life with and not get tired of. 7 and I got through our two hardest breakups together, and I just started to get her to listen to Taylor Swift with me.

Kelli Talk: Today Kelli looked over at me, and asked me, “Shef, would you want to be reincarnated into a human again?” Before I could even think of an answer, she goes, “I think I’d be a willow tree.” Kelli really said, “Life was a willow and it bent right to your wind..” in the most innocent way. She and I walked to the T together like we usually do after work and the way I almost jumped into the fucking tracks when she looked up and her boyfriend got off the train just to say hi to her. God, please, I am not your strongest soldier, I WILL jump.

Friend group update: Thomas got a job at ESPN & he's moving to Charlotte (& I want to cry). Xavier might move to Chicago (& I want to cry). Sevin is moving to NYC (& I want to cry). Allen and Anthony will be here but do I really want to hang out with Allen? Mina Hanna moved to Jersey City but at least Kelvin is still here. Pat visited this week. Catherine started giving Riley attitude (finally). Nam and Drew moved to Waltham. Mina Shehata moved back home. Fiona is flying to Arizona to hang out with a boy she doesn't like. Kiersten is working. Pop culture Update: Kim Kardash and Pete Davidson broke up (we all knew it was coming) and Ye wasted no time in posting about it. It's kinda cute how petty Ye is. Fiona Roast: Fiona really puts on a going out fit to drink two high noons and cry.

Toxic update: I won’t say who but one of the girlies is about to find and fuck the business partner of their ex and we are currently in the middle of identifying this man so if you or anyone you know has any info on how to locate someone with 0 social media presence (not even linked in or google). He was WEIRD and didn’t give her any information other than his business partner’s nickname and his year of graduation. Show Update: The Only Murders in the Building Finale is next week & this weeks episode was burning H-O-T. I've never been the type of person to sit through and watch a show weekly (except for any of the Star Wars spin off shows, you can't tell me the Book of Boba Fett wasn't a whole masterpiece) but this show is like crack. Let's chat about it.

Boy Update: I know this is the one you've all been waiting for but honestly there is 0 tea other than the fact that I've been walking around Boston thinking that, I, little 5' tall me, is 5'8-6'3. I'm out here adjusting everyone's heights so that they're short and I'm the tall one. At an after party last weekend, I absolutely humbled this man because he was 6' tall (a whole 12 inches taller than me) and I thought he w like 5'8. 7 is 5'8. I thought she was 5'4. If you don’t believe me: my most recent Instagram caption was “Gangsta wrap told me I was 6’3” which I AM

Availability this week: This week is abs crazy bc I half-planned a weekend and then canceled it because Alisha was coming but now it’s looking like I’m full sending it after being impulsive. I might wake up tomorrow and change my mind and stay home all weekend but for now, it’s looking busy. Fun Facts about the NAT Aragon Cast

So, the North American Tour cast is finally out! Here’s an incomplete list of places where you may know them from, videos of them performing music from Six and beyond, and little bits of trivia I found notable. I had more background knowledge or was able to find more info on some of the cast members than others, but I tried to include what I could.

Khaila Wilcoxon - Khaila just left the Broadway production of Hadestown, where she was a member of the ensemble and a swing for the Fates and Eurydice - You can see her perform All I’ve Ever Known here Storm Lever - Storm originated the role of Duckling Donna in both the La Jolla and Broadway productions of Summer - She’s also been in several productions at La Jolla and The Old Globe (San Diego) - Despite being on Broadway I can’t find a ton of content with her, but here’s a 2 minute interview and a performance I’m obsessed with

Jasmine Forsberg (she/her) - Jasmine has written some original musical theatre content - She’s a ‘21 theatre grad from Penn State (college theatre students during the pandemic unite) - Most of her performances are in Orlando and at Penn State, but she was in a Hallmark film and Iconis’ newest musical Love In Hate Nation - She is Filipino, which she talks about a little bit on her website

Olivia Donalson - Starting in Sep 2016, Olivia has been in Aladdin; she’s currently in the ensemble in the Broadway production and was previously fortune teller/attendant in the National Tour - She’s also been in several Disney cruise productions - You can see her sing part of Burn and a performance from a Broadway Sessions cabaret (her voice is insane????) I love how even in the midst of mental breakdown, Eddie still has time to hate Taylor Kelly. The way he looked at her like “say it, bitch” then immediately switched to “aww, my lovey husband thinks I’m shit at cooking. SO him. I love him so much” literally in front of her.

Also, how Buck was like “domestic fact: she’s awful when hangry.” And he was like “Aww and you hate my cooking, husband. My husband who is my husband and not her husband. Remember how we have a son together and he also thinks I’m trash? Isn’t that so nice? Remember that? We are the only ones in love ones at this table.”

He does not care at ALL, does he.

about 5.07

yes this is about 9 1 1 show, and yes I did write this in a reblog to one post that was one more too many (the post I am talking about), but I just wanted to reiterate my love for this episode, even if most people did not like it.

This is an exact copy/paste of what I said in the reblog:

Buck and Eddie are not the only characters in the show.

Listen. I, too, kept wondering where Eddie was (most probably with Chris, after Bobby/his therapist forced Eddie to just take a day for himself, given his history), and felt rather bereft without that weekly dose of Buddie DumbSassery, but it isn’t a Wrong Move on the show’s part. It’s pretty clever actually to focus on the other characters, other plots (like the Jeffery one) while still moving forward in the most in-character way they can manage.

We see May handle her own, without Claudette coming to her “rescue”.

We see Harry’s trauma get resolved, and in a rather satisfactory way as well. Harry believes no one else has gone through what he has, that no one understands him, but the Detective talks to him, and wow I hadn’t thought of that parallel before, but that makes so much sense. Harry getting to see the Detective be at work again is the inspiration for him choosing to go back to his childhood home.

Honestly, I loved the Grant Family moments this episode. (Not adding Nash because tbh Bobby was just… there, this episode, nothing more).

Hen and Eva’s storyline got wrapped up. Yes, it seemed so out of the blue, but Eva has been a ghost to Hen and Karen for years now, in fact through Karen’s own admission Eva’s very existence haunted her. Confronting that fact this episode was a pretty neat, the theme fit, plus now we can be 99% sure Eva won’t be back! Plus this gives closure to them all.

We also see Chimney talking to Hen, and we get the confirmation that Chimney has forgiven Buck to some degree—"Buck said [Maddie’s location]“ is a clear indication that they talked to each other, that Chimney chose to finally answer Buck’s calls, was ready to face his friend after their last meeting (even if that was through a call).

Chimney is still connected to the 118, even as he chases after a ghost—Maddie. He hasn’t gone "off the rails” in his pursuit (which is a Very Real thing that can happen, and is a somewhat famous trope I believe, except Chimney has Jee-Yun, (and distantly Hen) to ground him) and is very much capable of logical thinking (proven by the fact that Chimney saved that baby).

What I’m trying to get to is this: We see Chimney’s progress in his goal. Literally. The show gave us Chimney’s progress in his own sub-plot. (And the ghost theme worked well with a blast from the past, aka Chimney’s former mentor, Eli).

Then there’s Maddie. She’s making progress, too, even if it’s off-screen. But we learn another vital thing here: she is where she had been once, with Doug, arguably her biggest demon (I’d say her Postpartum Depression is an even bigger demon, because this is internal, she has to get better and that is all she can do here, she can’t run away from her demon this time) and that just, again, fits with the theme. She’s chasing her worst memories to remind herself that she has faced worse before, that she has come up on top even then.

I’m sorry, but despite Buddie being one of my favorite ships too—because of the fandom, really, and the amazing metas I get to see, because let’s be honest there is a lot of jumping jacks of the brain needed when it comes to this show—I can’t get over how the fandom has been after this episode. 5×07 is definitely not a filler episode (unless your sole purpose for watching the show is Buddie only), it has great substance if you look for it, if you can get past your vehement need of having your OTP be in all the episodes. Season 1 wasn’t so bad, was it?

And oh, lest I forget, Taylor Kelly. We seem to be heading towards a “Taykay Begins” sort of episode, and I’m excited. She’s going to be given some backstory, something other than a “Career Focused Individual” and “Buck’s Red-Headed Hot Girlfriend.” Remember when y'all complained about Ana Flores just being a prop? Yeah, I think the show writers heard you. (Actually not, since changing scripts so fast would be hard I imagine, but still, you know what I mean).

So, yeah. 5×07 wasn’t a bad episode, it wasn’t a filler episode, and it wasn’t a flop. It just focused more on the other people on the show, and I for one loved it. 9 1 1 show is about humans and their path to healing and contentment even after the worst of tragedies have hit, it’s not a Romance show, even though romance does weave itself beautifully in the narrative that is the 9 1 1. So yeah. Good Episode.

hot take: liking buck/taylor does not make you anti buddie and if you think it does then you should reevaluate. it’s 100% possible to ship one character with multiple people.

I am a Buddie ride or die but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the fact that Buck and Taylor have history and actual canon development. That’s why so many people are able to support BuckTaylor going canon while actively disliking Eddie and Ana. Eddie and Ana have very little chemistry and next to no relationship development, they’re just kind of there. Buck and Taylor have loads of chemistry and a clear build up. So while I would obviously prefer Buddie going canon, I’m not losing my shit over Buck and Taylor because at least it’s interesting to watch.

IT'S 3AM AND CALL ME A CLOWN BUT....

This is gonna be a little long but bear with me cause I have a point.

I believe this entire Eddieana and what happened this episode is heavily hinting that something big is coming...

This entire season we have had subtle Buddie moments AND also moments that hint that Buck and Eddie co-parent Christopher together and I'm gonna list it for you:

We start in 4x03 where Eddie and Buck have this 'good cop, bad cop' scene with Christopher and the video games where Buck tells Christopher no after a silent very mom/dad like pose which says 'Try and defy me' which is very common between married couples who co-parent (I've seen it with my parents a few times). We continue this episode with this cute little prank with the coffee maker that Buck and Chris play on Eddie (which was hilarious and really cute btw)

We move on to the crossover when Buck gets sad (and kind jealous when he finds out that Eddie is gonna work with Marjan instead of him

Later in the ep we have TK (an openly gay man) who thinks Buck is flirting with him AND OPENLY TELLS BUCK he has a boyfriend when Buck suggests they "get together" if TK's in LA sometime... AND on top of that when TK disappears of the frame who appears right after? Yup Eddie

We move on to 4x04 in which we have the scene with the 'Karen's murder' where we have Buck and Eddie playing detective together in a very cute way trying to discover the woman's killer. Then we have the punching bag scene in which after being angry for a while, a conversation with Eddie helps Buck with his anger.

We move on to Buck begins!!! Where in the factory fire JUST AS BUCK is about to give up, the 118 shows up to help him. Who is the first one there??? Eddie. Then we have the scene with Eddie waiting for buck's clean bill of health... And then the whole "Show off" scene which honestly?? EDDIE YOUR FONDNESS!!!

Now we get to the good stuff.... 4x06. JINX. My favorite episode! Where we have the clipboard scene with fond Eddie and the cutest moment with Buck and Eddie laughing in that whole helium scene but also it's the one where we get an incoming... Ana. Bobby tells Eddie this advice which resonates with me

"They're so focused on what they don't have, that they miss the chance to have something else. Something real" and tells Eddie to try and move on... But this line I believe it's more for us. Eddie will be SO focused on what he doesn't have (a 'mom' for Christopher) that he misses the chance to have something real. Something that is right in front of his face (Buck) and tries to find it on Ana (which is where our misery begins)

We have 4x07 where the focus of story arcs shifts to other characters and we don't get that much here BUT we get Buck trying to 'date' and failing miserably with Veronica.

In 4x08 is where the fun starts and co-pareting buddie starts to show... We have on one side Buck who is having issues with Albert and Veronica dating which leads to uncomfortable Buck in his own apartment. Our dear Taylor Kelly comes back but we see her relationship with Buck change to a really nice friendship. On the otherside we have Eddie who starts dating Ana and Christopher finds out which leads to his outburst to Eddie (which had never happened before) and then... HE RUNS AWAY. WHERE!? To Buck. To his other parent. The only other person who makes him feel safe (we get kind of like a divorced!buddie vibe here too). This beautiful scene between them shows us how Buck is Chris other parent AND ALSO that Buck and Taylor are truly becoming friends now. And then we get this really rushed scene where Edmundo (not eddie, Edmundo) introduces Christopher to Ana as if that's gonna make him feel better after the outburst he had and that made no sense at all to the point of the episode

In 4x09 we get a little bit of Buddie working together as the partners they are but the focus is on Chimney and Hen this ep so we just get breadcrums

In 4x10 we get the biggest hint so far... The episode is called PARENTHOOD! And it focuses on obviously the parents of the 118. Bathena and Michael, Henren and Madney. Who is the only parent who gets left out here?? Eddie... Why?? Because we all know that Chris has two parents and they don't want to acknowledge that just yet cause... Reasons. BUT we get nice hints. The few scenes in which we have Buck we get him talking about children at the same level as the rest of the 118. He acts and talks like he's already a parent. Why? Because he is!!!

We get this scene which is very subtle (BUT ALSO VERY NOTICEABLY) where we have the 'good cop, bad cop parents' and their kid. Chimney asks if both parents can be the 'good cop' AND BOTH BUCK AND EDDIE RESPOND NO! As if they know by first hand that a kid needs both, good and bad. This HEAVILY hints buddie co-parents or there's no point to this moment. In the same epsiode we get this AWFUL and very rushed scene with Buddieana and Chris in literally the last minute of the parenthood episode where Chris didn't even show up. The show portrays them as the 'adorable family who watches tv together' when they showed us JUST a few scenes ago the very noticeable buddie co-parenting scene. Why you say?? To remind us Eddie and Ana are still dating.

My point??? It's all on purpose. This is all hinting that something big might be coming. That's why we are getting so little scenes, why buddie is "pulling away". Also the fact that Ana is just here as Eddie's love interest and has literally no personality whatsoever is making me believe she's just being used as a background character. Even David (Michael's partner) has more personality than her and I think this is done on purpose. I believe something is gonna happen and this might all lead to Carla's appearance in an upcoming episode which could be the turning point of this storyline. Cocoa hinted that Carla will be coming back and she might be anti Ana (and possibly team buck). Will she knock some sense into Eddie? I really hope so

This took me an hour but it's here... Am I a clown? Yes. Am I reaching? Probably. But I had to get it out of my chest... Buddie is coming
