ok i slept for uhhh seventeen hours on and off since last night bc chronic illness <3 BUT that means I'll be up until like five am tonight. sad. BUT!!! that gives me time to read fics that i've meant to for months, and reading fic in general is something i don't do often so i'm kind of excited for my accidental all nighter era.

#ok. adding this in post. accidental chronic illness vent in tags #I FINALLY DON'T HAVE SCHOOLWORK TO BE DOING INSTEAD #deadass i finished my exam and project on sunday #and have been in crash mode ever since #i need to just give into it #on one hand i feel guilty that I HAVE the luxury of giving into it #because tons of people don't #but also i know that i have the luxury BECAUSE i planned my schedule/life around my illnesses #i KNOW this happens. especially in the fall (see: october slide) so I take lighter courseloads #and it's so hard. I feel like I struggle with things most people can do in their sleep. #I don't have enough blood in my brain to think half the time /literally and medically. not joking here #I'm chronically pretty fucking hypoxic and have blood pooling #so i know I need to be more understanding of myself here #but realizing your limits are different from other people is just so difficult to reckon with #especially in your early twenties (21.5) when I see other people making huge progress towards independence #i WILL still move out within the next couple years if i can help it. but I also know it will be uniquely challenging for me. #sigh. #I desperately want independence but it doesn't really want me lol #too bad for independence though. I've made it work this far and I'll keep pushing as far as I can with it. #my main concern is driving though. driving and brain fog reaction times/occasional syncope are. not great things to mix! #will cross that bridge when i get there

“mhm…go on..” your boyfriend stayed put, eyes glued to whatever he was doing on his laptop. the two of you were in your dorm, “studying” together.

“ugh, toshi, pay attention!” you say, waving your hand in front of his face. his eyes jumped quickly to yours and he sighed.

“love, i have an essay due tonight. i promise i’ll listen,” he said offering a smile. you gave him a look of uncertainty, but began speaking.

“okay so…halloween is around the corner and our class is having a party…” you began. he nodded his head, telling you to keeping going while he typed.

“and i was thinking…what if we did a couples costume?” you offer. he pauses.

“mhm. let’s do it.” he says nonchalantly.

“uh, okay, yay! so i was thinking we could do barbie or ken, or rapunzel and flynn, or-“ you halt your sentence, noticing that your boyfriend seems to have locked in again on his schoolwork. you sigh.

“toshi…” words fail you as you don’t know what to do. your eyes trail around your room and all of a sudden an idea hits you.

a smirk forms on your face and you let your eyes linger on hitoshi’s face, waiting for him to look back. at some point he looks up and notices the look you are giving him.

“what?” he asks, a smile forming.

“oh, nothing, just thinking…” you say with a shrug.

“just thinking?” he inches his body slightly closer to yours. perfect.

“yeah, thinking. about life and things.” you reply, moving closer to him.

“what ‘things?’” he says, moving even closer. his laptop has been discarded and placed to his right, expecting this conversation to go some place.

“i don’t know, i can’t remember…” you speak. you and hitoshi are now mere inches apart, lips threatening to connect at any second.

“you want me to help with that?” he whispers, reaching for your cheek. you look to his lips, as if to ask for permission. he looks to yours and you both lean in a little closer. as he begins to pull you in, you snap your head away, as if the “things” came back to mind.

“oh! i remember now! it was this video i saw earlier of a cat!” you say, eagerly. your boyfriend stares at you with his lips parted, now a flustered mess.

“[y/n]…” he speaks, softly. “what was that for?”

“hm? what was what for?” you say, finding a random cat video to finish your bit. “found it!” you shove your phone in his face, avoiding his questions purposefully. he slowly puts his hand onto your arm and pushes it down whilst watching the video.

“don’t play dumb. you know what you did,” he says, a small smirk forming on his lips.

“did what?” you smirk back. “this?” you quickly pull his face to yours, close enough for you to feel his warm breath on your face.

“baby, please…” he groans.

“oh? but i thought you had an essay to finish?” you whisper, your hand reaching to cup his cheek. he pauses for a moment.

do you have any tips on managing adhd when you can't get professional help and meds? Especially when I have a ton of schoolwork like 3-4+ important things a day when I can only manage 1-1.5.

hey sweetheart! i'm not sure when you sent this in, so i apologize for just seeing this. i'll try to organize my thoughts into bullet points so it isn't a chunky paragraph:

community! having a support network, for better or for worse, really is everything. (for worse because not everyone may have one, but it can be easy to start building one online at least.) i say this because 1) delegation, 2) body doubling, and 3) of course, emotional support.

delegation, meaning giving out tasks to different folks, can be helpful because then you aren't the only person completing these tasks!

body doubling is something i do, without fail, literally everyday, meaning i do my work in the same space as someone else who is also working because it motivates me to do more! whenever i see my roommate cleaning or typing away, before i even make the conscious decision to do so, i do work too. i even get texts like the screenshot below (literally yesterday) because all of my friends are neurodivergent except maybe one. find a set of friends you can count on for body doubling! there's also in our Academic Resources a site called Study Stream that lets you sit on Zoom with a bunch of other random students but personally that makes me feel awkward lol

and lastly, emotional support, the obvious one. when it feels like you have no one supporting you, excuse my language, but this shit gets hard. especially when you're low on spoons, if you know about spoon theory. you need that support!

i'd also say that prioritization is an important skill. sometimes, you really won't get everything done, and it is genuinely frustrating. i try to order my work by what's due soonest so i'm getting closer work out of the way. but you can also order them by hardest to easiest to do so you knock out the absolutely worst thing out of the way so if you do still have energy you just have little stuff left. OR you can do the opposite so you finish more tasks by completing a list of easy stuff. it's really about what makes most sense to you so i can't really make that decision for you.

reward systems tend to work really well, that or conditionals. what i mean by that is gamifying the process of completing tasks. my favorite example of this is actually a new trend on tiktok created by @/luxarnold and then further developed by @/this.isjules and @/fromwonder. if you don't have titkok, basically these folks have put ALL of their tasks in either some sort of arbitrary numerical order or ordered by the energy it would take to complete, and when they roll a dodecahedron (20-sided) die, it lands on one of the numbered tasks and that's what they complete. the more tasks they complete, the more health points they deplete off of this imaginary monster they've created. and at the end, just like a game, they win a prize for defeating the monster. some creators wrote extra hours to watch their favorite TV show, some wrote time for crafting, some wrote specific objects. video example below:

an example of a conditional to me is more like every time i check my phone, i force myself to at least take a tiny sip of water. and you could do the opposite. maybe every time you consume your favorite snack, you complete one assignment until it becomes like habit.

breaks! this girl once said that you should be taking breaks based not on how much you complete, but the energy you deplete. and i live by that now! it doesn't matter if you completed only 2 tasks. if you can afford to, i encourage you to just take the break if your body feels drained. pushing past that will not serve you in completing those other tasks to the best of your abilities. if you don't feel like you can hold yourself accountable this way, i would suggest maybe checking out Pomodoro timers.

bravery! at least in my case, i needed bravery to contact my professors and be vulnerable with them. not every teacher will be so kind, but if you feel comfortable, please reach out and explain that the workload does not work well for you. you'd be surprised by the number of folks who are willing to offer you accommodations. i will literally text my teachers at this point and say, "hey, i just had an anxiety attack and i know by now how long it takes me to regulate myself. i won't be able to attend XYZ/turn in XYZ, so can i instead attend/turn it in on [insert date]?" ask for that help, but also be clear that you do still want to show up and do your best, you just need support right now!

gentleness. i think this may be my last bullet point. like i said earlier, the reality is that you very well may not finish everything that you need to. this is a long-term piece of advice, but it's necessary to be gentle with yourself. cliche, i know, but it's true. i've been slowly unlearning these ideas of perfection and it's rough, friend. truly rough, because as i allow myself to make more mistakes, obviously things aren't in tip-top shape anymore. but to make mistakes, to be imperfect, to be vulnerable, especially in such trying times, is part of being human. right now, you're trying to conform to neurotypical, able-bodied perceptions of productivity and the truth is that we can't all do that. i surely can't. this world was not built for us, so we must reframe what we consider success. or at the very least, we can carve out our own space, hopefully with others to support us, to provide ourselves gentle care. you don't have to love yourself. you don't even have to like yourself, i know i'm still getting there. all you have to do is recognize that as living beings, really just as "beings" in general because i'd like to think our inanimate objects deserve care as well, we all deserve gentleness.

i know this was a lot but i had plenty of ideas buzzing like bees in my mind. let me know if you need help understanding anything i wrote. please excuse any potential typos. LOVE YOU, MWAH <3

okay, SO!! i have two, but for now i’ll only tell one ‘cause this post is gonna be long if i told both stories 😭 this happened before we started dating but still one of my most memorable moments with him.

to give you some context, it was around six in the evening. i was in a coffee shop near shujin academy’s campus, while ryuji was inside the school gymnasium, practicing for an upcoming track and field competition at that time.

while i was doing my schoolwork inside said coffee shop, some guy in front of my table started talking to me out of the blue before he went inside the shop’s restroom. when i felt like something was up, i noticed that the guy’s phone was weirdly positioned — it was leaning on a water tumbler, and the creepiest part was that the camera was pointed RIGHT AT MY DIRECTION !!!! so by that time, i was internally freaking out, thinking that i was being recorded w/o my consent.

first, i texted my closest friends if there was still anybody around the campus to come fetch me — i couldn’t go out the shop just yet because 1) i wasn’t finished with my donut and i had it for dine-in and 2) if i went outside, there's a good chance that guy would follow me. since classes already ended two hours ago, none of my friends could keep me company. that was when i remembered ryuji told me that he’d still be around by six because of his practices.

when the weird guy returned from the bathroom and sat at his table in front of me, i quickly texted ryuji in panic — at first, i asked him if he was available to come pick me up at the coffee shop. when he asked what was up, i explained the situation to him over text. he then told me that he’d come as quick as he possibly can.

around five to six minutes later, he shows up with sweat covering his forehead and a gym bag gripped in his right hand. he was wearing shujin’s PE uniform. i remember the way his head moved side-to-side, trying to find me. then, when he does, he smiles and waves at me, as he exclaims: “hey, june!”

i remember the side-eye he gave to the weird guy as he walked over to my table LMFAO,, ryuji sits in front of me, so as to block the guy’s view from seeing me. then, ryuji rests his forearms on the table, glancing at my schoolwork, my unfinished donut, then at me.

“that’s a big freakin’ donut, dude,” he comments, and i laugh.

“i have to finish it,” i tell him in a whisper. “i don’t want to let this go to waste just because of some weirdo!”

“don’t worry ‘bout it,” he answers. “take your time. i’ll be here for ya.”

even so, i STILL try my best to finish it as quickly as possible because i don’t want to be a bother anymore !!!!! at times, he’d chuckle and tell me to slow down, that “the donut ain’t got its own legs, it won't run”. when i was done eating my food, ryuji offered to carry my backpack.

after we left the coffee shop together, i gave him my thanks and told him a few more details about what happened. he’d throw in a couple comments, like are you for real?! or he’s lucky i didn’t throw any punches! i’d laugh at his responses, but then, as we were walking farther away from the coffee shop, i felt something was missing.

and then, it hit me: i think i forgot my envelope in the coffee shop.

the worst part? i had some personal papers that contain MY CONTACT DETAILS in that envelope. INCLUDING MY ADDRESS. the conversation went something like this:

“oh, shit.”

“what?”

“i think i left something in the cafe.”

“what? whaddya leave?”

“i left my pink envelope!”

“the one you always carry with you?”

“yeah! that one! fuck, i have to get it back.”

"are you sure it's not in your bag?"

"no, it doesn't even fit in there! could you— shit, sorry, could you go with me? i can’t go back and see that guy again."

“yeah,” he nods, worried, “sure, no problem.”

and then, as we briskly walk back to the cafe, i told him how i have some important documents in there, including the document i mentioned. after telling him about it, he seemed like he was contemplating about something. then, he removes my bag off his back.

“june, could you hold this for a sec?” he returns my backpack to me, and i’m confused. “stay put, yeah?”

then, he wears his gym bag over his shoulder, and suddenly — he FUCKING runs!

i thought he ditched me and went home already. i stand there confused with my eyebrows furrowed, and i’m convinced he left me there by myself to fetch for the envelope alone. so, i start making my way to the cafe, feeling a little betrayed by ryuji — that was, until i was a few feet away from the coffee shop’s entrance and saw him emerge with the pink envelope in his hand.

i am absolutely AMAZED.

he then sees me from a distance, walking to me with a tired smile as he hands me the envelope. “i told you to stay put, ya idiot,” he tells me as i take it from his hands.

“i thought you went home already,” i explain. “so i was going to get it by myself, until y—“

“yeah, whatever, that’s no problem,” ryuji brushes it off, panting just a little from the sudden exercise. then, he mentions to me: “y’know, i saw that weirdo again on the same table.”

“oh really?”

“yep,” he nods proudly. “i just shot him… one last death glare just so he remembers not to mess with you anymore.”

i laugh. “aren’t you returning to practice?”

“nah,” he shakes his head. “we were practically finished for today. tonight, i’m walking you home just to make sure no other creeps do somethin’ to you.”

he always walks me home after classes now. :)

tldr: ryuji picked me up at a coffee shop after some weirdo was recording me. when we were already far away from the coffee shop, i realized i forgot something important there. he ran back to the coffee shop to get it himself and return it back to me.

i'll be fr with you we're both prone to jealousy LMFAO .... but in terms of how we both show it, ryuji's definitely passive-aggressive with it (not towards me, but if he sees that some guy's hitting on me, he'll SHOW him that june takahashi is indeed proudly taken 🙏‼️). as for me, i usually hide my jealousy until both of us are alone so we can talk about it in private.

in terms of protectiveness: ryuji's very protective of me - not in a possessive way, but in a way that you can tell he's determined to protect me from any form of danger no matter what. the way someone treats me is how he will treat them back is the easiest way i can put it tbh. my protectiveness towards him isn't as strong or obvious -- i'm pretty resilient, but honest to GOD, if someone hurts that man i will hunt them down until justice is served

The newest chapter of Disposable Heroes is so good! I feel like you have such a good grasp on the characters and I’m always a sucker for the caretaker of the group needing some TLC. Eddie needs to actually communicate with Steve and Steve needs his people back ☹️☹️ but also he really wouldn’t fight them if he thought they didn’t need him anymore so everything about the fic is just perfection.

And Mike!! I love how you wrote him and I’m just so excited to see how everything ends. He strikes me as the one who takes advantage of Steve the most blatantly, still holding a grudge for when Steve and Nancy broke up, but also expecting him to always be there. But Dustin can be just as bad, I’m just so excited to see how they all fix their relationships with Steve.

Also, how’s college going? I remember you saying that you were starting classes recently!

Ah, thank you so much!! When I tell you I did wayyyyy too much research on character profiles for this fic... believe me. Steve gets very little love on the show, so I wanted to give him what he deserves and show the flaws in the on-screen relationships between him and others.

The scene with Mike was very self-indulgent because I want someone to tell him to get his head out of his ass so bad!! Honestly, Eddie was me in that scene and if I could shake Mike around like a ragdoll until he understands that treating people like shit just because they have a past is unfair, then I would.

College is going great, thanks for asking!! It's a really big adjustment with being away from home and adding a ton of schoolwork into my schedule, but I'm managing well so far. Well your chapter 23's teaser first reminded me of when I had been in hospital for over a week, and i told my mom i wanted to go home. I cried and i guess she cried too. But that's not the mystery.

I never know what i was down with. That evening i felt really dizzy, and i was rushed to hospital at 4am when my mom woke up and saw red spots all over my body. I was sleepy af and didnt feel hurt or itchy or anything. I just knew that everyone in the hall was staring and pointing at me. I couldnt care more i just wanted to sleep. They took me in and did everything while i was asleep already. I got an IV on my fore arm and the back of my hand. I dont remember much, but the princess treatment was great so I lied to my parents that i had headaches and stomachaches for another 2 weeks before getting back to tons of elementary schoolwork. I asked my mom about that event once but she just said it was an allergy. No i definitely dont have any allergies🤷

The iPad Kid In Question

In today's generation, the concept of "iPad kids" has gained popularity as a meme and cultural reference. It represents a generation of youngsters who have grown up surrounded by technology, specifically tablets like the iPad. It was an ongoing meme that can be coined as an insult that led me to deny that I am not an iPad kid. However, with how I deal with everyday life, I’ve realized that I cannot live without it. The iPad has played an important role in my life, especially in my academics and leisure activities.

Do I need my traditional nursing books? No, I have already downloaded them to my note-taking app (Goodnotes). I do not need to bring my thick nursing books to school because I have everything downloaded on my iPad. Do I need to bring tons of notebooks or pad paper when note-taking during lectures? No, I do not need to because I have a handy dandy iPad with me when I go to school.

One of the most significant advantages of utilizing an iPad for taking notes is its portability. iPads are lightweight and compact, allowing me to easily carry them wherever I go. Whether in a classroom, group meeting, or coffee shop, the iPad offers a convenient device for taking notes on the go without the need for heavy notebooks or stacks of paper. iPads also save notes digitally, removing the need for physical storage and minimizing clutter. I do not need to be stressed whenever I cannot find a certain reviewer of mine that I need to use to study for a quiz the next day. Moreover, I can organize my notes into folders, categories, or tags, making it simple to find specific information quickly and therefore saving me time and effort.

Aside from note-taking and storing my books, I can access a lot more websites and apps that are needed for my academic requirements. Apps like Quizlet and Anki, which I use for reviewing, especially for active recall and spaced repetitions, allow me to create custom flashcards using text, graphics, music, and even mathematical equations that fit my learning style. They include multimedia features to improve my retention. These kinds of apps are really helpful for me since nursing is a course that demands a lot of memorization of different concepts. They are my lifesaver when memorizing key terms, medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and other nursing concepts.

Canva is also an app that helps me survive school, and without it, my non-creative self cannot live in the academic realm wherein creativity is a required skill in creating and finishing schoolwork. The ready-made presentations, infographics, posters, and other forms of media help me meet school deadlines. I still tweak its design, but the fact that there is a template that I can use as a guide makes me more productive. Regardless of background or expertise, a person can create graphic designs using the straightforward drag-and-drop interface and pre-designed templates of Canva.

Another app that is helpful in terms of video editing because of how accessible it is and easy to navigate is Capcut. It is an app that both my iPad and phone can access, making video editing for school tasks easier than before. The interface is well-organized, with tools and features that are easy to access and use, allowing me to efficiently edit videos without being overwhelmed by complex settings. CapCut provides a comprehensive range of editing tools and features that allow me to modify and enhance videos based on my preferences and the requirements of my subjects. When I was in high school, I needed to borrow my mother’s laptop to edit in a built-in video editing app that was hard to navigate because of its technicality and complicated interface. But with this particular app, I can finish my work within a small amount of time, which I can say is perfect for a student who crams video-type projects.

Google apps like Google Meet, Google Slides, Sheets, Drawings, and most especially Google Docs, have made my life easier. With just having a Gmail account, I can access my documents on all of my devices. If I forget to add something to my document and I already closed my laptop, I can use my iPad or phone to add more information to my paper without the need to assemble my laptop, especially when I’m already lying down in bed ready to sleep. If there is an urgent need to revise my work but I’m out of the house and do not have my laptop with me, I can use my iPad or even my phone and edit it through the Google apps. With an Internet connection, these apps or websites bring convenience and accessibility wherever I go or whatever circumstances I have.

Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides also allow multiple users to work on the same document at once. This real-time collaboration function is especially useful for group projects, team meetings, and collaborative writing assignments. I can monitor changes and updates in real-time, thereby facilitating seamless communication and workflow efficiency. I also consider this a lifesaver to pinpoint my groupmates who have been neglecting group tasks and monitoring their contributions.

Moreover, the nerve-wracking experience of accidentally deleting one’s document is devastating and something I do not like to experience again. Google Apps are a lifesaver again in this aspect because they automatically save versions of documents, allowing me to track changes, return to previous versions, and discover who made specific modifications.

Last but not least, my favorite feature of the iPad is its size and how I can watch series and movies on a larger screen. I do not like the hassle of turning on my TV or my laptop, both of which I cannot bring to my bed whenever I need to rest. With the iPad, there is unlimited access to watching shows while lying comfortably in my bed. I have access to a vast library of movies, TV shows, documentaries, and original content, allowing me to explore a world of entertainment possibilities at any time and from any location. On top of that, I find it difficult to refrain from eating without watching something on my iPad. This behavior perfectly aligns with the concept of an 'iPad kid,' someone who eats while using their iPad. It is essential for me when I eat since if I do not distract myself through watching videos, I tend to eat too fast, therefore not being able to chew my food well.

Besides what I've mentioned above, the iPad's multitasking capabilities also enable me to view videos while also browsing the web, reading emails, or taking notes. Picture-in-Picture mode allows me to minimize the video player and continue watching content while using other programs, thereby increasing my productivity and multitasking effectiveness. I particularly enjoy this feature when I just need white noise or background noise whenever I need to finish something that does not require too much work or concentration. In addition, this feature is also useful whenever I need to write down notes during my online classes.

My phone and laptop have features and strengths that I use depending on what I need, but my iPad is a mixture of them. With the help of my Apple Pencil, offers versatile features that make my life more productive. The iPad's combination of features and characteristics provides versatility and adaptation to various demands and preferences. Whether I use it for work, play, education, or creativity, the iPad is a versatile platform that adapts to my changing needs and lifestyle. At this point, I can say that I’ve already achieved a return on investment, or ROI, with my iPad.

A phrase that can describe the technology, in general, is ‘my lifesaver’. Throughout my narrative, I cannot count how many times I mentioned that phrase because indeed, these smart devices, digital services, and software applications offer convenience and accessibility that make life easier. They provide unprecedented convenience and accessibility in our daily lives. Whether it's ordering food online, booking transportation, or operating smart home gadgets with voice commands, technology makes tasks and routines easier, saving time and effort. As we manage the complicated aspects of modern life, technology is our constant friend, allowing us to prosper in an ever-changing digital landscape.

“HOW DOES MOBILE APPS BECOME PART OF MY DAILY LIFE?”

Given that we currently live in the modern era. Anyone has access to the internet through their smartphones, which are truly important to people's everyday tasks nowadays. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, including education, online businesses, and many other things, where it can be applied as fundamental information to many facets of life.

I can't deny that I still have many things to learn about the course I have been chosen for, even if I decided to pursue a degree in information and communications technology and become a teacher soon. Although it may be difficult to evolve, I hope to see an exciting future, five years or ten years from now on. My aim is to provide important information to my incoming students regarding the significance of using mobile apps and the possible advantages as well as disadvantages that may occur for them.

And now for the very interesting part. I created this blog because I was interested to discuss some of mobile apps that I use the most and provide honest feedback based on my experience dealing those apps carefully and using them in the right manner. Let us start and see! 😁👀

Here's the list of my TOP 10 MOBILE APPS THAT I AM USING IN MY EVERYDAY LIFE:

Facebook is the leading app I am using everyday. Why? Because, I discovered that I could socialize with people using this app in many ways other than face-to-face interactions, such as reacting and commenting to their posts, sharing memes that I saw on newsfeeds and could apply to my real-life status, joining various group pages to share my knowledge, selling things that can generate a profit and starting a business, and a ton of other freely made things.

Google comes in second. This app is already available on all cellphones that you could purchase. However, when it comes to complete my schoolwork and other assignments on time, that's when it becomes resourcefulness for me. I should not really 100% trusted this app, because, there are some things aren't true to know or can be lead into “misinformation” like in the website of Wikipedia. That's why, sometimes, I love to do my self-tasks alone.

The Messenger, the third one. It was an app that linked to Facebook, making it simpler to send messages to people you knew. I have been using this to connect with my teacher and classmates ever since the pandemic. It can't be access whenever I'm offline but, there's another variant of this app which is called, “Messenger Lite” that even basic mode can still access. Unlike the regular version, I guess.

The next one is YouTube. Through this app, I can watch the daily news that I couldn't watch on TV, to gather an additional information about the lessons in school I think it's hard to be understood, have a good time to watch those missed music videos that came from my favorite artists and so much more things to do.

For the fifth place, Spotify is always there at my phone to save me every time. When I listen to songs out there, it makes me heal from everything I pissed off. But, unfortunately, data or Wi-Fi is needed for this app. That's why sometimes, I listen to my download songs playlist. Whenever I don't have an internet to be used it. This kind of music streams is the best app that I had in my whole life and also, you can subscribe for its premium version (just optional only, if you want to remove ads while having a sound trip alone or with your family everywhere, especially, at home).

The two apps next to Spotify are named, “Microsoft Office 365” and “Canva.” Both are eligible to be used and finished on time, the tasks you want to overcome in everyday life. It makes me assist like an instructor that you can learn a lot from these two apps. That's why, I'm thankful that they created a superior & perfect app for every person who have a struggling problems that unable to solve when it comes to work that include time management.

The eighth one is “Google Chrome” that designed to be that's fastest web browser. With one click, it loads web pages, multiple tabs, and applications with lightning speed. Whenever I'm using this app, there will be always ads popping up. So, as a result, I easily annoyed sometimes but, we can't deny the fact that ads is everywhere, even for those online gamers can relate. As what I said, it allows me to set up tabs as many as I can, just in case I needed those pages.

While, the two left apps on my list are called, “MVLE Mobile” and “Google Classroom.” These two educational purpose apps makes me help to fulfill the tasks that I should be finished on time. Aside from that, they're lessons can pin and students can able to download it then, having a takes notes. So, just in case, our instructors may ask some questions about the lessons we read about the learning materials s/he has given through online access.

As I end of my discussion about my experience that I shared here to those TOP 10 mobile apps that I am usually using everyday. I gained a lot of knowledge to them and since everything we use nowadays are related to technology. We can't force ourselves to be able silence but, to inform other people these apps are having an advantages and disadvantages at the same time. But, I would like to say that, “Be a responsible mobile apps user, especially when you're in social media. Think hard first before you click anything, not everything you may see are true. Just be careful with yourself and others that may affect, if ever you do wrongdoings that's not acceptable in our society.”

Just out of curiosity, what are your Jake Rogers headcanons?

Oh, what's this? A Jake Rogers ask in my inbox?? 👀🤩 Don't mind if I do!!!

To tell you the truth, I don't often headcanon for characters unless said headcanons are based on crumbs from within the text itself. Given how little we know about Jake I don't have a TON for him, but here's what I do have (and am, consequently, very attached to because I happen to love this sick and twisted scumbag king):

1. He was quite a tech guru generally- not just limited to using a video camera. His video of Hal in the library is coming from an overhead view - could Jake just be filming from the stairs? Sure, but that's a looong time to stand around in the library unnoticed (enough time for Hal to finish copying that entire essay at least). My headcanon is that we're seeing video that Jake pulled from the school's security cameras after hacking into them. This is in addition to Jake wiring up his own undetectable camera lenses inside the lockers of Connie and Hulk (SCK2, but ya get the point).

2. Jake was very lackadaisical with his schoolwork, rarely gave it his all, and blackmailed others to do it for him... but he had one of the highest IQs in all of Paseo del Mar.

3. Jake physically was a taallllll, lanky, dark-featured, shadowy figure, just like his role in the story. And before anyone comes at me with the description given by the security guard in this report:

I have two words for your consideration. Connie Watson. (Her backpack was found at the school that night jsyk! Have fun piecing together that untold story!)

4. I suppose this one really is a bit conjecture but is also just. Yeah. Anyway: Jake knew how to intimidate people without saying a word. He had this iconic stare that would make the inside of your chest ice over in an instant. It wasn't a glare, exactly, because it was subtle enough that others around wouldn't notice. But that face was the self-righteous sneer of having your secrets in the palm of his hand, like it was something you and he shared - something just between the two of you. He wasn't supposed to know about it. But he does. And he won't let you forget it.

Wednesdays, I think, are going to be the days that suck. Thursdays will also be tough. I start Wednesdays pretty early and have a lot to complete for Thursdays. I suppose Wednesdays will suck significantly less if I do a better job with spacing out my preparations. I should look into that. Thursdays this semester will always just require a lot of stamina.

Today (one of those dreaded Thursdays), I wanted to get another one of those synopses submitted, and I'd mostly finished it yesterday (with significantly less frustration) but didn't have a critique until midday today. I did end up submitting a synopsis that I was somewhat happy with. I took notes during today's discussion on some of the critiques and experimental methods suggested (I learned that the experiment I proposed in my synopsis is currently impossible lol) so I could use them when coming up with ideas for future synopses (I have to write six for this class). I also had a quiz today which I didn't study enough for (took for granted that I'd learned most of the content previously--will not be making that mistake again). I had a meeting with my PI late this afternoon, my first one since the semester began, it went well.

I still find that I'm settling in. Settling back into schoolwork (totally underestimated the difficulty of the quiz I took today (my first quiz in grad school (the part that sucks isn't going to be the grade or even knowing that I could've done better, but that my PI is the prof and there aren't tons of students in the class so I'm def not just a number and he could probably surmise that I didn't do my best on it (in our meeting today he asked what I thought of the quiz and I told him that I prob screwed up a bit and he was basically like "no worries that happens" ugh what a man)))), settling into my space (gotta admit, walls are still pretty barren (it's difficult for me to really think about putting things up because I'm fairly certain that I wouldn't like to live here next year (it's okay but that's really all it is, just okay, and I, naturally, have illusions of grandeur and high-roller living), but I also don't really vibe with the totally blank walls when I spent so much time thinking about my theme,,,, maybe I'll use this space as practice? idk)), settling into this city (still haven't gotten my library cards), settling into my role (gotta email my postdoc tomorrow). Settling, settling, settling, settling.

I met up with those three girls today for a free dinner at an event they were invited to. I'm glad I decided to go to that with them instead of going to the kickoff event for another club. I'm sure the kickoff would've been great and informative, but I'm really trying to put effort into community-building. We went to the nearby art museum for a free event to just kind of hang which was also nice. Might go out tomorrow night, too. Gotta rest up for that.

Currently binging Young Justice, started last Friday, it is very good. Extremely well-written. I watched the first season way way back when it came out originally with my dad, and it went off the air suddenly. It came back with a third season in 2019 which I didn't know about, then a fourth in 2021 which I also didn't know about. There's a very clear shift from the TV-Y7 rating in the first two seasons to the TV-14 rating immediately in S3E1 which was very interesting. I'm hooked for sure, it's a good time. Action-Adventure + Science-Fantasy is totally my favorite entertainment genre. I hope S3 can adequately follow how well S1 and S2 were plotted.

Today I'm thankful for my PI, he's great, he seems like he really does care. I'm also thankful for the free tote bag I got at the art museum tonight. I didn't need another tote. What I want is a tee shirt, honestly. But alas.

One actual negative thing: discovered that my favorite jeans of all time (Hollister High Rise Crop Boyfriend (vintage stretch)) which I purchased four years ago and loved immediately out of the package are developing a hole in the crotch. I've never mended jeans at the crotch before, but I must try to save my baby (perfect relaxed fit at the natural waist, perfect length, perfect button closure, perfect neutral light wash, perfectly big pockets in the front and back, perfectly soft fabric). I love these jeans so much that I haven't bought a single additional pair since. Taking a trip to a fabric store sometime soon to gather my arsenal.

Today was a (net) good day, despite the little annoyances. A long one, but a good one.

Okay so. Writing update, I did end up committing all the way to NaNoWriMo this year, but the breakdown of my miscellaneous mostly Batfam writing project is hilarious to me, so if you are interested in what my DC writing looked like in November, I did silly math.

The 50,500 words for my project this year was basically whatever writing of my own that I did in November and that I considered enough effort/part of a dedicated something (so not, like, text messages or whatever random thing) to “count” for the project. Most of it was various DC fanfics or casual comics analysis.

Out of the 50k words written for the goal (non-bolded percents are sections included within the percent group right before them):

52% was for my still in progress “miles apart” long fic (basically a canon divergent “what if a lonely place of dying but earlier and no Jason death and lots of early batbros + NTT and also stuff that I want to see more of from that era” fanfic)

But only 37% of my writing was the actual fanfic content.

15% was just me plotting that fanfic (canon divergent long fics take so much to plan ok) and also my in-text notes

Those notes include me wondering/asking future me editing questions such as “check Who’s Who on DCUI to see how tall Victor Stone is compared to Kory” (6’6” vs. 6’4” btw) and “should Gar really be sitting on people as an elephant, how much restraint does he need to have to not kill people??” (maybe he shouldn’t sit on non-invulnerable assassins when he weighs 2-7 tons?) and also “does Dick have a car in NTTv2?” (…I think so??? I would assume? but he seems to take a lot of taxis/fly with Kory instead??)

29% was just me rambling/writing analysis about some of the Batkids. Unsurprising but amusing that I was just rambling about them for 15k.

As part of that rambling, 13% was me figuring out a post-Crisis age timeline for Babs based on comics. Fun and necessary but sometimes agonizing because I have to cite comics I do not like...

More rambling, 10% was me analyzing comics for what pre-Robin Tim’s Batfam obsession looked like based on post-Crisis. It’s relevant to my fanfic, okay!

8% was another (TimBern) fanfic I started because I got stuck on a plot point in the long fic and needed something less plot-heavy.

4% another (WIP) fanfic mostly about Tim & Bruce. unfinished. idk where it is going.

3% writing for college assignments. RIP finals.

2% potentially finishing up a one shot about pre-Robin Jason that I don’t know what to do with (it doesn’t feel done...).

1% possibly finishing the draft of another Dick & Tim fanfic (an angst-heavy Red Robin-era canon divergence).

1% starting a Robin Jason & Dick fanfic that I’m also not sure where to go with (pls I just want them to be cute first brothers).

I must also note that during all of this I was going slightly nuts not having any current projects to write about the women in the Batfam...downside of setting my current main fic smackdab in one of the least gender-diverse era of Batfam (in between Babs retiring Batgirl & becoming Oracle, no less!). Which is how I ended up writing 6.5k of Barbara Gordon timeline. I only lasted that long because I had Donna & Kory for the New Titans parts <3 (I need to add more of them I have another short scene planned)

Anyway. I just found it fun to look at how much I wrote of what in this jumble of a project. I have done NaNoWriMo previously but it had been a while since I really committed to it, so it was fun to actually write this much again. Even if I, uh, probably neglected some schoolwork for it. oops?

None of these fanfics are ready to be posted btw, they are a mess, but progress is progress, and if I do some editing in December, maybe a few will be :)

[doll-collector-by-day]

One of my new year's resolutions is to organize my doll stuff better, which is not easy with a small doll lover in the house.

I've claimed the two "attics" of our doll houses as my spots to use alone. (Both were super cheap on Craigslist because they take up a ton of room and both owners didn't realize it just took a hex wrench to disassemble). Anyways, I'm decorating one of the attics with whatever I find that I like, which is how I decorated my room when I was a kid. It's by no means finished, but it's starting to come together!

My "stuff cabinet" has a random assortment of things. The hutch was a random thrift store find that reminded me of Kirsten.

-Ship in a bottle like Miss Winston, Kirsten's teacher

- Millinery shop sign that I stitched, thinking that Felicity might enjoy it

-Green pottery from Mexico for Josefina

-Tiny vases and plates that were cute

- A collection of glittery potion bottles (currently unlabeled) that I will use for Claudie to open a midnight potion shop some evening. Not sure what I'll label them yet, but I'm very excited.

The ceiling is decorated with "posters".

-The original six reading their favorite books because reading is awesome (AG postcards) Also a postcard of the original six.

-Some Frozen stickers because they're cute small sized posters

-Cyndaquil because fire pokemon are the best

-A Michigan postcard I found amongst my stuff that I enjoyed (my mum is from Michigan)

-A print of a vintage poster for a hotel?

And behind Mags and Marika I have a small collection of doll postcards going. I'm going to see if I can find scans of the AG World Traveler ones, since I have the UK ones.

I've got Addy's desk here, and the girls are currently watching their tablets, since I didn't want to set up any schoolwork or art yet.

Still settling on what the remaining side bits of attic will be, but I'm glad I'm finally taking a place to set up a scene and leave it for more than 5 minutes!
