- They both have some sort of act they put on but in two entirely different ways, for Lute it’s a cold, untouchable front, and for Adam it’s an overly confident, boastful attitude. When the two really start connecting with each other intimately, those walls slowly start to come down and they kind of go hand in hand. Adam would probably be pretty insecure underneath all of his narcissism due to the fear of being left behind, and Lute would likely let her coldness dissipate in the face of something like that. And after one of those heart-to-hearts Adam probably would say something like “…yeah, but don’t get the wrong idea or anything cuz I still totally rock babe HAH.”

- Adam probably wakes Lute up in the middle of the night to talk about some REALLY stupid bs but Lute will listen regardless of what time it is in admiration of her dumbass boyfriend. <3

- Whenever Adam is trying to make a point about something while just casually rambling on about whatever, sometimes he’ll just stop and say “I mean, c’mon, you agree with me Lute right? RIGHT?”

- Adam uses pet names 24/7 and Lute simply does not care to use them at all but she enjoys it when Adam does, even if his ideas of pet names can get a little odd sometimes. Like wtf is “dangertits” LMAOO

- You can tell Lute is really being vulnerable in front of Adam when she starts calling him by his actual name instead of “Sir.” *cough cough* that one episode 8 scene☹️. As much as Adam doesn’t want to admit it, that shit hits him pretty hard.

- In an AU where these two are living as normal human beings on Earth, Adam brings Lute to every rock festival/concert imaginable and he would absolutely geek out about every single band that came on stage to her. “LUTE ITS FUCKING SLAYER BITCH!!! HOLY SHIT!! THE SLAYER THAT MADE REIGN IN BLOOD, HELLOOO?” Lute enjoys each second of it.

- Talking about what canonically happened for a second (even though I’m still in denial), after Adam’s death, Lute sometimes visits his room, tending to it as she feels morally wrong leaving it alone to be and damaged and decayed by time. Plus, it’s a duty that all of Heaven’s quarters be kept maintained as to keep a good image. One day, Lute accidentally stumbles upon a dusted mixtape Adam had on one of his shelves, with a note attached to it saying, “For my awesome lieutenant after we kick ass at extermination”, and yet, he never got the chance to give it to her.

Branch being the voice for all younger siblings out there who will never be respected by their families hit me. But I also think there's something to say about the JD's of the world. The older siblings they took charge because they felt they had to. All parties end up getting hurt.

Also Branch actually wanting them to be a family so sweet. It really embodies the naive hope of wanting to stay together that youngest children have, but it's not unattainable. You can still be close with your siblings into adulthood, no matter how much time has passed, and that's what this movie represents as it's core.

The layering when they all sing together is too good. It sounds so gorgeous and if you listen closely you can hear each persons vocals.

Also I just need to talk about the music production and mixing for a second. This movie has three version of Better Place, all of which are unique. The main one is the NSYNC version, which is notable for it's little rap section. The Family Harmony version use's the intro/pre-chorus as the main part of the song. It also lets the song slowly built, and adds instrumentals as the song progresses. The Reunion version doesn't use the intro/pre-chorus, but rather mainly focuses on the chorus. It also uses the bridge from the main song as the post-chorus/refrain. Just a very creative use of the song tbh. Also the instrumental differences between Watch Me Work and Mount Rageous? Like it's the same song, but the way they add more classical elements and more layers to build the tension and the song as a whole?? I have no words. Perfection.

Obsessed with this movie. If you haven't seen it pls go watch it.

 The upbeatness of the song just gives me the same vibe… also the message of the song being reminiscing on a band's successes, really resonates with Hongjoong. As the leader I know in the future he will tell his kids and grandkids about how successful and loved Ateez was as a group. Hongjoong will always be there for the band members even during rough times, so I think this song really relates to him.

Seonghwa: August by Taylor swift

 The song is about a new start in life, and I can’t help but think he would often think about the fresh start he was given when he became an Idol. You can really tell how much he loves being able to sing for the world. The instrumentals are so soft but powerful which is exactly how I see Seonghwa.

Yunho: Sweet Creature by Harry styles

 I chose this song for Yunho, not because of the story behind it but because of how the song is presented to me. The song is beautifully sad, and Yunho is so beautiful that it makes me sad lmaoo. I would also really like to see Yunho do a song in this style or even a cover for this song. The lyrics are very powerful to the heart and Yunho makes me feel the same way…

Yeosang: Where the shadow ends by BANNERS, Young bombs

 This song gives the message of hope. Yeosng is truly a great representation of this song to me because of how hard he has worked to further his career and to make fans happy(as well as everyone in the group). Yeosang is truly the light in the darkness. The instrumentals are soft as well and give that angelic feeling to listeners(me), and I get the same vibe from Yeosang.

San: Diamonds by Rihanna 

 San was truly born to be onstage, his stage presence is unlike anyone I have seen in the fourth generation. He was truly meant to shine and give that inspiration to future generations. His smile shines so bright as well and I think people need to recognize him as one of the best Idols in the game. Again…this man was made to be a performer and artist. He is the moment.

Mingi: Try by P!nk

 This man is so charismatic and determined to do amazing things in his career (he does.) This song is about taking risks and not giving up, and he truly does. He always manages to get past the hurdles in his life that come in his path. I am really proud of how well Mingi prioritizes himself and his mental/physical health and never gives up on his dream. So this song 100% gives me the same vibe as Mingi.

Wooyoung: Good Time by Owl city, Carly Rae Jepsen

 Wooyoung always makes the best out of difficult decisions. He is one of the most positive members I have seen, he is so smiley and his laugh is so funny as well. He makes everyone around him happy as well, truly a happy virus. I have a friend that bias’ him and literally anytime she sees him she gets so happy because of the vibe and energy he radiates. 

Jongho: Yellow by Coldplay

 I chose this song for Jongho because it is a song about love and devotion, but in the  way I think his love and devotion is for the members and fans. He is the youngest of the group, but I see him as someone members can really rely on and talk to when they need to get something off their chest. Yellow can be seen as cowardly or afraid but in Jonghos case I see it as Happiness and Reliable. Jongho is the yellow of his group… for his members and fans.

Do not tell my wife to shut up!” Or there’s another video floating around of Ellie and Sarah surprising you at work after not seeing them for a while but they hid in your trailer’s bathroom so you didn’t know they were there until you went to take off your makeup and they jumped out and scared you. “Don’t fucking do that shit!” You yell before realizing it’s your daughters and they’re on the ground, giggling together, and you got caught. It’s all in good fun and demonstrates that no matter how crazy your life may be, you’re just another family at the end of the day

befriending remus lupin has got to be one of the best things that ever happened in your life. you remember how a couple of years ago he was just a cute nerd in your class and now he’s on stage with his band, performing in front of a whole stadium. a full one at that.

you couldn’t be more proud of him. he loves music and you know that this means the world to him. he always dreamt of this, and now it is becoming a reality.

you’re in the middle of screaming the outro to one of their songs, a huge smile on your face. of course remus made sure you come, giving you the tickets to the very front row. the song comes to an end and people calm down slightly, taking a breath or two, already preparing for the next song. you look up, seeing remus already looking at you. even in the dark, you still manage to find his bright eyes.

“this next song is for someone very special,” he starts, screams of excitement filling up the room. you look around confused, not knowing what he’s talking about. when did the concert plan change? “it’s our first time playing the song, but we know we want to play it right now because it’s the first time after a while that this person is at one of our concerts,” he continues, a huge smile appearing on his face. “y/n, this is for you,” he confesses, starting to play the melody. you’re too surprised to react, just standing there while everyone around you screams their lungs out.

well i took my lil sister and her friends to a gracie abrams concert last Friday and like FIVE people fainted????? and i heard a similar amount of people fainted the day after. it was RIDICULOUS. i dont wanna be mean cause the audience felt pretty young (like high school, early uni age) but like ..... everytime something happened in the pit they called to gracie for help???? and in the words of matty healy, wtf is the performer gonna do?

Yeah, I mean, I think, to a certain extent, it’s not super new? Diehard fans have always had this as an issue because going above and beyond for your fav artist has always been a thing. Not to age myself here, but this used be mainly a festival issue. Cuz like it’s mainly people standing and they’re packed together like sardines. Especially in the summer. With the heat and dehydration and all. Even Matty recalls doing this for green day. Like remember when he would talk about being in the front row and specifically planning to get onstage with green day at age 13 and stuff? And how the day of the GCSE results, instead of worrying about grades he was more concerned with the festival attendance hahaha. So, like, I think he’s seen the consequences enough times and doesn’t want his band to be the reason someone gets hurt. Like their love for the band causing them to be harmed would be so shit.

As for the mean-ness thing….part of it is his personality I think but also in his defense, people need it sometimes. Even I do it in big classrooms where I have like 50-70 students. I’ll be asking them to swap papers together and give each other feedback. Or maybe get into groups and stuff. But even after I assign everyone a role, they just sit and stare at me. Saying “okay guys let’s go ahead and do it” doesn’t work. I end up clapping my hands violently and being like “what are you asleep in your chairs? Let’s fuckin MOVE MOVE MOVE” that’s when they’re like “oh. Right ok this is happening.” Lmaoo. So like he’s just cutting to the chase cuz time is of the essence. Both in terms of the show but also you don’t want someone to dedicate to death while youre tryna be sweet and kind to people.

That, but triple it, and add some brightly musk cologne. He SOOOOO gives "everyone has to smell me" , so I definitely don't think he was shy with the amount ☠️

I'm correlating him with more fruit and not floral, floral just doesn't seem him. I feel a bit deranged for saying that so confidently but 🤣🧠🤣

Alexander gives me...😩, Alexander gives me cuddled up by the fire type of woody smell. Like a very comforting, notes of earlgrey wood smell. His demeanor really doesn't give off "I want everyone around me to smell me", so woody earlgrey seems fitting because it's low-key but still amazing.

The Dead Kennedys!! They're not my absolute favorite band, but they're quite high up there, and they're the band I've gotten really into the most recently :))

3. Why are they your favorite artist?

The lyrics and vocals definitely have a lot to do with it, especially in Frankenchrist (album by them), but also I really love the riffs!! Initially, that was actually like, the thing that stood out to me the most when I first listened to Soup Is Good Food (the soup song)—I really liked the main riff of it, and that's what got me listening to it somewhat obsessively

11. Do you own any of their merchandise?

Nope, don't own any of any band. What I will do soon (ish) though, is write something Dee Kay related on a box of Jello (the food) that my family got from the store today and hang it up on my lamp, so maybe that counts as DIY merch, lmaoo

14. Which of their albums is your favorite?

Frankenchrist! It's probably a bit of a weird choice as it's definitely the record that sounds the most different compared to the others, but the way it stands out also is the reason I like it so much. The lyrics are also really clear and hearable, which was a really unique experience listening to it for the first time for me since I'm used to not knowing what they're saying whatsoever :))

19. Would you like to see them live?

Ooookay, this is the million dollar question with this band. Basically, the band split up in the 80s due to royalty issues and stuff with Jello's label, Alternative Tentacles, and there was a big lawsuit about it and such. In 2001, the band sans Jello got back together, not releasing new material but still playing concerts, and that's been criticized a bunch by Jello, who's said that bands that do reunion tours are just looking for more money and that he does not agree with them "resurrecting" the band whatsoever

Would I do it though? I honestly don't know much about how the remaining Dee Kays play live now, haven't researched it at all, but if people generally enjoyed themselves going to these concerts, why not? Like, I get that Jello doesn't agree with it, but there were still 3 members that initially went for it, so it can't be THAT morally wrong or whatever someone could argue. Also, there's that Tumblr post I saw at some point, not sure who it was by, that said something to the degree of "we're the last generation that will ever get to see these bands alive and live", and that really stuck with me. The Dee Kay's drummer, DH, actually passed away not long ago—late October, I think—and that really cements the point in my mind. Rest In peace though, DH

Jello!! Funny stage name (and his real name is the name of the guy I sit next to in one of my classes, so that's something), ran for mayor (+ tried to for president) with a surprisingly interesting campaign considering its politics, married in a graveyard on Halloween, 10/10 singing and speaking voice, and he's an interesting character all around

I honestly know next to nothing about any of the others either, partially because I haven't specifically sought that info out, and partially because people REALLY focus on only Jello despite there being several other people in the band. I was actually reading a part of a punk fanzine that had a section on the Dee Kays, and they made no reference to any of the other guys individually while at the same time mentioning that Jello was born in Colorado, so the difference of people who talk about Jello vs the others is a LOT. I do hope to learn more about the other guys eventually though!!

nightly ptv posting in random places until i see them live (123 days left!!) - not in the greatest place rn as this cold covid continues to fuck with me both physically and mentally so im gonna get really sappy and talk about how significant each album is to me cause i could write a whole essay on this. under cut cause this is gonna be long

collide with the sky was the album that got me into this band. one of my irl friends was reposting tiktoks about them, i heard the hell above transition and instantly ran to them for recommendations cause i was HOOKED. that night i think i listened to them for around 3 and a half hours straight, i think i went through the entirety of collide, selfish machines and afftd (im not sure if i finished afftd or if i looked at misadventures yet) and the only thing that stopped me from continuing the binge was a massive headache that came over me. hold on till may inspired two of my ocs as i imagined them taking the roles of both people in the song, their personalities and how that'd fit into an existing universe we (me and my friends) had. they're still the two ocs i think about the most since i connect them with ptv very often and - yknow, hyperfixation. fun fact: i timed the "im sorry but ive made up my mind" in bulls in the bronx to happen when it hit midnight on my birthday. no clue why, just thought it was cool ig

the jaws of life was the first album i owned physically, accidentally managing to acquire both the cd and the vinyl on my birthday (cd was spotted in hmv, vinyl was my grandma's gift. there's a certain cashier at that hmv that i think happened to be working that day who shares my music taste, they recommended my dad listen to them since he said he got the cd for me lmaoo) the songs on that album were the first ones my parents heard, as my dad's car has a cd player so i popped it in on the way back home. much later on due to some shenanigans involving a shitbox car thats best music source was cds and oh look ptv is the one band my mum didn't mind listening to and i had 2 of their cds (i'll talk about that later), it ended up becoming her favourite album of theirs so we'd very often listen to it on journeys even when she got her car back as it was one of the few things we shared taste wise after i took a dive bomb into rock/metal, so while its my least favourite in terms of songs as im writing this (i don't dislike them!! some of my faves are on there!!), im incredibly sentimental towards it regardless.

misadventures was the second album i owned physically, finding the cd buried in a local record shop (it has the acoustic bonuses on it!!), and i think i can sorta call it my favourite album of all time. almost every single song in that album has been put on loop at least once (i mean that very literally. every single one. except sambuka? idk, just wasn't in my head as much...) it was also involved in the shitbox car shenanigans which might have influenced my love for it too. the divine zero in particular had (and still has tbh) a strong chokehold on me, being a little too relatable for me as i was going through a very dark patch in life that im not sure is entirely over yet actually, though it at least feels like it might be. i still can't listen to that song only one time whenever it comes on, i have to replay it at least once. it was my top song on spotify and i barely even fucking use spotify. can you tell im normal about the divine zero?

a flair for the dramatic and selfish machines, while not having a big long story behind them, have been incredibly important to me during The Cold Covid as their songs are the main ones im obsessed with currently. some noteworthy songs off them are she sings in the morning/yeah boy and doll face (ok this one's kinda silly: i found out people found the first song through osu which i hadn't played in ages and these two was some of the first plays i got in a very long time so i currently hold them very close. fun fact: i like rhythm games!), wonderless/chemical kids and mechanical brides (INCREDIBLY calming to me, go tos when i need to lower my energy levels), million dollar houses (very closely connected to one of the two hold on till may connected ocs) and fast times at clairemont high (ok it's just a banger to me. the high notes make me fucking feral and i listened to the song 10 times in a row once. oops)

i think lily finds it annoying how nice alicia is. like she wants her to be bitchy so she can have an actual reason to dislike her lmao. i think that lily doesn’t like it when people come in who are really good doctors while also being better than her at connecting with other people. we saw a bit of that with ethan already like she initially found him annoying, especially when he wasn’t put off by her being rude back to him. obviously she warmed up to ethan quite quickly though but that could easily be because even though he was better at talking with patients and he was nice so everyone liked him, he was still socially awkward and much more like lily in that regard than alicia who was a bit of a party girl and very sociable which lily can’t relate to at all. also ethan was her senior which she respects and so was always more likely to admire his ability with patients rather than look down on him. i mean clearly her issue with alicia is that she’s jealous of her but that’s what i mean, she’s jealous of the fact that she’s a good doctor AND has a good social life AND everyone likes her

i just realised lily’s been wearing her glasses this episode. i just think they handled lily stopping wearing glasses WAYY better than they handled ethan stopping wearing glasses. i mean i remember george rainsford getting increasingly frustrated at being asked questions about what happened to them on twitter lmao. but it’s because they didn’t make it clear when he took them off the last time that that was him stopping wearing them for good. and he just goes about his day afterwards presumably unable to see because they don’t show or mention him putting contacts in? and they’ve just never mentioned it since let alone mention that he’s wearing contacts or anything. in fact the only time they’ve ever mentioned that he used to wear glasses was in begin again, 4 YEARS LATER😭 and like with lily here it makes sense that she’s wearing her glasses because she’s grieving and so not putting as much effort in but they haven’t taken the same opportunities with ethan like when it wouldn’t make sense for him to be wearing contacts. like for example they expect me to believe that after he was stabbed he either woke up and immediately put contacts in or he went round without them including somehow managing to see stevie from afar through the resus window when everyone in there was wearing ppe? like i guess technically he could’ve managed it (i mean we don’t know the specifics of his eyesight) but why would he not just have put glasses on?? i have the first draft of a fic about that but from rash’s pov (bc we never saw his reaction???) where don’t worry i remember he needs glasses. anyways,,,,, bit of a tangent
