Magic Mi! Update

Finally started working on the Magic Mi transformations!

We finally established how Emmet and @toriblayde ‘s Aiden met!

(This is gonna deal with violent homophobia in the 50s. Skip this if that’s too much for you)

When exiting a gay bar one night Aiden is ambushed by gang members, receiving a brutal beating. He might not have made it if not for the NYC subway night shift stepping in, who were just on their way home. With their uniforms, flashlights and walkie-talkies they could be confused with a charging police department, chasing off the offenders.

Leading them is Emmet, who then makes it his mission to make sure the now beaten and bruised Aiden gets home safely. Aiden isn’t responding at first, just wanting to be left alone and go home, but Emmet insists on making his trip easier. By foot he could take hours especially in his condition, but by subway…

Begrudgingly Aiden lets himself be guided, a bit perplex as to why this stranger is sitting to close to him, and turns away.

Random SBG AU where every time one of the kids dies in the shadow dimension, the number of hours they're stuck there decreases.

It starts at six hours, one hour for each of the kids and when Tyler is impaled by the tree and dies, an hour is shaved off. After spending hours searching for Tyler with no luck, they find a place to rest and then Taylor asks Logan how much time was left, only to be cut off by the sudden shift back to the real world. Logan was sure there was still another hour left, given how he periodically checked it to make sure it was running correctly but then they were all too caught up in worrying about Tyler for him to think about the implications of potentially losing an hour of time in the shadow dimension for unknown

Then Aiden dies and another hour is shaved off and they're down to four hours. This time they've noticed it, especially when they've lost two whole hours. Ben notes how much shorter the duration of the shift felt this time and Logan brings up his suspicions.

What were the side effects of two of them dying? What would happen if ALL of them died? Would they be freed? Or would they be doomed to spend the rest of their lives running away from these creatures with no hope for freedom?

The ask about what bird Aidan would be, we'll, just like flowers, birds have symbolism and I think Sasha would know that. He tells Aidan he would be a Grackle, and when Aidan asks why, Sasha just shakes his head and won't answer. So next time Aidan goes on patrol, he tracks down a bird symbolism book and when he gets back, swoops Sasha in his arms and says, "you are my pure joy too".

...Okay this one wins. Yes. Sasha is exactly that sort of romantic. And grackles are pretty and apparently gregarious and talkative, so they fit Aiden quite well, really!
