Leocadie tests their new White Gull variant, and discovers they've made a hallucinogenic kind. At least they're nice hallucinations.

It turns out bleeding all over a half-finished magical working has consequences, Geralt.
Thankfully, they're not actually that bad.

Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure. ~Coelho, "The Alchemist"
Have I mentioned how much I adore Lambert's nerdy, experimentation-loving, explosion-prone, alchemist self? The geeky side of his character is such a wonderful juxtaposition with his grouchy gremlin self who begrudgingly fights monsters for a living!
Also, I totally subscribe to the idea that Lam makes potions and bombs for both Aiden and himself, 'cause Aiden is a little bit shit at alchemy. Meanwhile, Aiden takes care of the cooking for them, because he's marvelous at making really tasty meals out of thin pickings (and Lambert has been known to not bother with salt or even cooking his catch all through if left to his own feral devices).

Milena has been firmly ordered to take a vacation. She's intending to sleep in, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and indulge in a few meals at the resort's well-regarded restaurants.
The astonishing couple she meets on her first evening might change those plans a little.

No Wolf may claim another as pack until after he has passed his Medallion Trial.
Which means Geralt, Eskel, and Gweld just have to survive that long.

Lambert's correspondent is finally coming to visit. He's very eager, and not at all prepared.
I am doing a fic-writing challenge! I am going to try to post a fic from the challenge prompts Tuesday through Friday until I run out of prompts.

How do Witchers deal with partial truths? Like a stepmother smells like a lie when she says she loves her stepdaughter but is more 'she is a stubborn brat but she needs to brush her hair, learn math, eat her greens and she is only ten years younger than me and her father does nothing to back me up and how I am suppose to do this'? Throwing Witchers into weirdly domestic situations makes me happy.
I feel like the Witcher is probably getting a noseful of "affection / frustration / self-doubt / irritation / apprehension", and depending on the Witcher either goes "Look, just tell me the truth no matter how ugly it is," or sits the poor lady down and makes soothing noises until it all comes spilling out in a muddle.
I think they're all learning to get better at dealing with people in non-confrontational circumstances, just by getting the practice.

My dearest and most talented Inex! I have a question triggered by your latest masterpiece. Apologies if you have answered this before but what are the meals in AWAU? You made a mention from Jaskier in Flung to Catch a Star when they were at a meal that he doesn't usually sing after dinner but i remember many instances of singing and dancing after the evening meal which for me is dinner. Or possibly all the dancing has been after the midday meal (lunch?) and I have gotten truly muddled? Much loves, Bee
In AWAU I do breakfast in the morning, dinner at midday, and supper in the evening.
This was a decision I have maybe come to regret given the confusion it causes.
