I hope this is what you were after anon! Sorry it’s a little short, this is the second time I wrote this because it deleted itself the first time lmao.

I’m also autistic so I’m kind of writing from my experience, remember everyone experiences thing differently!

Autistic!Reader (GN) x Aether Ghoul.

Warnings: Description of a panic attack/autistic meltdown/shutdown. Reader goes non-verbal for a while.

You ran out of the common room and into the hallway, sliding yourself down to the wall and onto the floor. Bringing your knees up to your chest, you rest your head there, bringing your hands up to pull at your hair. All you could hear in your ears was ringing; everything felt way too much. Rocking back and forth and pulling at your hair, you really tried to calm yourself down.

“Y/N, darling. What’s going on?”

You could barely hear Aether’s voice, let alone make out what he said, so you just let out a small whimper, still pulling at your hair. Feeling a hand come to rest on your wrist, you slowly looked up at him. A slight feeling over relief washes over you as the ringing in your ears quietened down a little.

“That’s it, keep your eyes on me. Can you talk right now?” He asked, his face soft and his eyebrows knotted together in concern.

Shaking your head in response to Aether, you slowly reach a shaking hand out to him, gripping his shirt tightly. He nods, sitting down cross-legged in front of you, close enough so you could cling to the fabric of his shirt.

“Okay, honey. Is it okay if I stay here with you?” He asks, searching your face for an answer.

You nod, your other hand still pulling at your hair. He reaches up, taking your hand into his and taking it away from your head. He holds it tightly in his hand, knowing that light pressure will only make it worse.

“Can you look at me, Y/N?”

You slowly lift your head up from your knees to look at him again, blinking away tears that are threatening to spill.

“Would a hug help? I know last time you said that deep pressure-”

Before he can finish his sentence, you crawl into his lap, pressing your face into his neck. Aether wraps his arms tightly around you, resting his head on top of yours.

“That’s it, I’ve got you sweetie.” He murmured softly, holding you tight to his chest.

You could feel yourself trembling slightly in his arms, but the longer you’re there, the better you feel. After around ten minutes, you untucked your head from his his neck, looking up at him.

“Aeth?” You mumble quietly.

“Yeah, darling?” he responds, brushing a stray hair from your face.

“m’sleepy���”

“I bet you are, Y/N. You wanna go take a nap?” He asks, a smile on his face. You nod, looking up at him with a small smile on your face.

“Right then!” He exclaimed, standing up with you still in his arms. You let out a little squeak which made him chuckle as he started walking to your room. Once you got there, he opened the door and walked in, putting you down on the bed and putting a blanket over you.

“Aeth? Can you stay?” You ask, a slight whine to your voice.

“Of course I can, Y/N.” He smiles as he crawls into bed next you, pulling you to his chest again.

“How’s that, darling?” He asks, his voice soft and sweet.

“Perfect.” You mumble, nuzzling into him. Two minutes later, you were asleep.

he couldnt move… he couldnt move at all. he looked at you laying on his lap, sleeping peicefully. he breathed in and out just like what nahida told him to do whenever he’s mad, except he isnt. he doesnt know what he’s feeling but he felt as if he’s about to explode, his cheeks felt warm, how can a puppet feel such things for a mere mortal? if someone ever comes and see’s him, he’d be sure to get rid of them.

“you really are annoying.” he whispered rolling his eyes before looking back down at you. “i dont know what these feelings are but its so bothersome. you make my cheeks feel so warm and theres that fast beating inside my chest whenever you do stuff like this.” he babbled. he groaned, he felt like he’s going crazy, “i wanna push you off my lap right now, but i really rather kiss you right now.” he said only loud enough for him to hear looking elsewhere to contain his embarrassment. hearing a giggle. his eyes went wide.

“awww thats so adorable, wanderer.” you teased looking up at him, who so suddenly harshly pushed you off his lap to stand up and leave. “i hate you.” he grumbled, fast walking away from you. he should have know better! “kuni wait!” you laughed catching up to him and grabbing his wrist to pull him close to you and leaned in for a kiss. “you’re in love with me, and so am i. now, dont run away from me okay?” you smiled at him who is now a blushing mess, he felt so human.

xiao thinks he really shouldn’t be there, sitting beside your sleeping form in a field of flowers. too calming for his liking, he wasn’t used to it at all. how did he even end up in here with you laying your head on his lap. he sighed, leaning both his arms beside him for support, admiring the place. if it aren’t for you bribing him both almond tofu and for bringing zhongli along with with you to convince him to come along with you.

“i appreciate that you want me to take a break even just for a while, but i just cant get used to this.” he began, still not looking at you. “i don’t understand what i was feeling, so i asked mr. zhongli about it and he told me i was in love or something. “ he breathed out closing his eyes. “ i know nothing of affection but i’m willing to learn it for you.”

“i want to teach you then.” his breath hitched upon hearing you, quickly opening his eyes to look at you. he hadn’t realized you’re awake, he guesses he’s just easy to let his guard down around you.

“waaahhhh paimon’s really full now!” paimon sighed leaning g against the chair, aether hummed in reply, admiring you who is sleeping beside him inside your home. you were just watching them eat away minutes ago and now youre asleep. “[name is really nice~ they’re so lovely! i love [name]! [name] cooks so much tasty food.” paimon smiled swinging her feet.

aether blushed, burying his face against his arms not daring to show his face. “i love [name] too.” he says aloud, catching paimon shocked. “[name] is so kind, [name] is so sweet,” he continued. “t-traveller-“ paimon tried to warm him that you’re awake and listening but he stayed in his position and continued. “[name] makes me feel loved, they make me feel warm and fuzzy. i love [name].”

“i love you too.” he sat up quickly hearing your voice so suddenly. now he’s a blushing mess, paimon giggled at the sight. “i… uh…” was all he could say while you and paimon laughed at his blushing face.

You and Aether invaded a nearby hilichurl camp, one of those big camps where multiple huts and different types of hilichurls resided in. The two of you were given a commission to clear out the camp, a commission you two thought was going to be easy. You have fought together for so long that you both knew the two of you would come out with minor injuries. What made today so different?

You were fending off against a big mitachurl, making sure to dodge its massive axe and slower movements to hit back. You cursed at the amount of bulk these meaty fellas had, sometimes your attacks would be dodged which only added to the amount of time you’ve spent fighting this big fella. Though it had nothing on what your companion was facing. Unfortunately, he was busy fighting a geo lawachurl that hung around the camp.

The two of you decided ahead of time who will fight what, Aether having said it would be best he fought the lawachurl as he didn’t want you to get harmed and you knew well that he was far more equipped to fight the lawachurl with his ability to use the different elements. You had no such ability; you were simply a skilled fighter with no vision to help you in moments like these.

You had suggested to taking out the other hilichurls around the area as to not hinder his fight with the lawachurl. You were doing well until this mitachurl came, smaller hilichurls were easy to deal with but mitachurls were still quite the hassle for you even with experience in defeating them in the past. You gritted your teeth, keeping your eyes trained on the mitachurl, waiting for its next strike.

The mitachurl swung its axe towards you, you jumped out of the way, darting forward once you landed. The mitachurl looked at you, tugging at its axe that lodged itself into the ground with more vigor. Your grip on your sword tightened as you swung your sword with as much strength as you could muster. The mitachurl let out a cry as it collapsed onto the ground. Panting, you look down at the mitachurl, sweat dripping down your face stinging your eyes slightly.

Now that the mitachurl has been dealt with, you can go to where Aether was fighting the lawachurl. Having caught your breath, you jogged towards where you could hear rocks hitting the ground and the clang of a sword against something hard. You made it just in time to see an archer hilichurl pointing its crossbow at the blonde-haired traveler.

“Aether watch out!” you yelled out, accompanying the high pitched shriek from Paimon that seemed to yell out your name instead.

Everything felt as though it happened in slow motion. From your voice cutting through the sounds of fighting to the sudden pain that shot through your body. You staggered backwards slightly, your hand going to touch your chest, feeling something cold that stuck out from your body.

Your eyes met those that shone like amber. It was as if your senses had shut off except for that of your sight. Aether seemed to be yelling something at you, Paimon rushing towards you, hands reaching out to you.

Why do they look so scared…?

Spending Autumn With The Twins

You all had your fun in summer but now it was time to relax and enjoy the autumn season. You had planed allot of things for all the four of you even the twins had ideas.

Yes you all traveled to Mondstadt to go look around and see all the beautiful leaves and take a nature walk. During those walks Lumine would hook her arm to yours and when you notice her cheeks turned pink and she just said, “So if anything happens I’ll be close to protect you”, which to you was very sweet. Aether soon did the same thing saying how, “We don’t want to get split up and lost so I wanna be close”, but they did have to let go cause Paimon wanted a turn and neither was gonna let the have this chance and to be fair for Paimon. You guys saw a bunch of leave so like any normal person would do you jumped in as leaves went everywhere and that started a whole thing in it’s self as you guys were throwing leaves everywhere

Than off to Fontaine where you all had wanted to try the delicious autumn themed treats. From sweets to drinks you all tried them all and as you were drinking your (drink choice) Aether asked if you wanted to try some of his drink as well where you took a sip from his cup and you offered yours and Lumine had watched as Aether drank where you had drank your cup, putting his lips where you just put yours and did the same for his cup. So after that Lumine had gotten a treat and asked if wanted a bite and when you were going to grab some Lumine was ready to feed you, you wanted to say no but she was giving you such a cute look.Hey both stopped when you and Paimon had a discussion on which treat was better almost starting a war, all in good fun

Then to Inazuma where you all decide to go see a pumpkin patch there. You had a competition on who can find the biggest pumpkin as you all looked around and it being a tie, said by Paimon. From there you all had wanted to paint and carve your pumpkins which you all did in Inazuma. As you were showing off your carving skills you couldn’t help but be jealous of both Aether and Lumine which you commented and both faves were growing red and when you turned to Paimon she was just painting all of you, which was adorable.

Now you all stopped at Liyue for the market place just to see if they have anything. It was nice cause you all went around looking at stuff and buying stuff. You even bought things for the twins and Paimon and asked if they all wanted a sleep over at your house. They agreed and from there you all stocked up on things for the slumber party in Liyue.

Once home you had asked if they can put on a little fashion show for you as you wanted to see the close they got and what you had gotten for them. They all proudly posed and showed off their clothes and were very moved by the clothes you gotten them as it really fit their style. And when it was your turn they all cheered as you showed off and when asked which outfit was better, by what Aether and Lumine had gotten you, you had to say. “Honestly I can’t decide you two are very good at picking out stuff for me”, and with that it was a tie.

During the sleep over you all had played games, tell stories, gossip, read books, and by night you all were tired. You had told the twins and Paimon to take your as would just use some blankets and make a little bed on your floor. With that you all argued from that you should take the bed and they take the floor, you sleep with one twin and the other is on the floor, then to Paimon takes the bed and you all sleep on the floor.

You all just agreed to try and sleep on the bed all together. That’s how you were left with ten twins curled up on each side with you and Paimon sleeping on your chest. Was it comfortable probably not, but would you rather be somewhere else maybe? But it was all washed away when you took a good look at everyone and just seeing how comfortable and happy they were if made you love autumn a bit more now.

Still holding on to the bible as you got out, rushing towards the figure surrounded by such a holy light. "Oh deary, your father wouldnt be happy to see you gathering with the crowd" A familiar old woman sounded, grabbing hold of your arm. You paused in your steps, eyes meeting the woman's only to recognize her immediately as the Seamstress of the sew shop you were heading to. "Ah... I only wish to see what has blocked my chariot's path, this part of the kingdom is known to be quite peaceful, I am quite confused..." The old woman chuckled, guiding you back to your coach. "The Duke is quite strict with you, you are his only child after all— and news of your upcoming wedding had reached the capital." "I am aware of my upcoming marriage." You answered back, your lips pursing at the tone of your voice, "forgive me—" "It really is alright, deary."

"You still have not told me why a crowd has formed...." You murmured, "Gunshots have been heard in the sky just a few moments before you arrived, dear. No matter how much people have looked for where the sound originated from, there seemed to be no luck." She answered, patting your hand with her wrinkled ones. "The glass stained windows in the cathedral cracked aswell, some speculate an angel and a demon are battling."

"You know how people are, they gather to gossip. Gossip is not ideal for a person of the church such as yourself, do not entangle yourself with them." She added promptly. "I see..." You nodded understandingly, your eyes cant help but straying back to where the odd shining light had made its escape. "Excuse me for a few minutes, madame. I need to make a quick detour, I'll head to the shop as soon as I can." The woman looked at you incredulously before sighing. "Go ahead, deary. But hury now, your wedding garments wont fit themselves." You nodded with a smile, bidding her goodbye as you quickly ran towards the direction of the lonesome figure.

you were cooking fish (freshly caught from a friend of yours) for your husband kazuha. it was hot in inazuma today so you were wearing just your sando bra and shorts. while cooking, you felt arms slither around your waist. "zuha," a nickname you gave kazuha. "what do you need?" you spoke as you used one of your hands to pat his head gently.

You came home after a mission to find a very clingy and tried Aether tackling you to the couch; usually this would be a good thing if it weren't for you needing to use the restroom.

"Aether, Darling, you know I love you but could you please let me go? I'll be back i swear." You said to your charming loving boyfriend aether that was cuddling you.

You swore you could almost hear him say no, you chuckled to yourself before trying to untangle yourself from your clingy wet golden retriever

Aether just held onto you tighter before saying something you could quite make out. "Aether, hun, I really need to use the restroom; if you let me go I'll give you all of my love when I come back m'kay?" You said in a loving tone.

After he heard that he let you go, sat up slowly, and rubbed his eyes.

"Fine, you better be back in 5 minutes though or I won't let you go for a whole hour" Aether said in an almost needy voice. Of course you paid no attention to it and just got up to use the restroom.

When you came out of the restroom he practically climbed on you like a kola who found their favorite branch to sleep on. You could only laugh a tiny bit before dragging him and yourself to your shared bedroom.

"I'm back aether, don't worry I'm not going anywhere for the rest of the day" you said as you softly played with his hair and giving him a few kisses here and there.

Soon you drifted off into dreamland with him.

Aether couldn't bear to see you like this. To watch you through yourself at him when he no longer loved you. It was pitiful really. How you begged for him to stay. You were attached to him while he moved on. Tartaglia didn't hate you, he simply didn't love you anymore. Tartaglia moved on and fell in love with someone else; his best friend. You couldn't do anything about it but simply accept what had happened. Though you could never move on from him as he had done.  

And so Aether watched as you fell deeper into despair. He tried to lift you up, to show you how much you were loved and that you didn't need Tartaglia to feel loved, that there was someone else who loved you dearly. You were too blinded by your sorrow to notice how Aether thought of you.  

As much as Aether wanted to do more for you he couldn't and so he let himself be a shoulder to cry on for you. Hoping. Praying. That one day you would see how much he cared for you. 

You had been going to Aether nearly every day for about a week just to cry. He was your dearest friend after all.  Until one day you stopped.  

Aether thought you simply needed a bit of space to get over your heartache.  

That was a week ago though. 

It had been two weeks since he last saw you, and he was getting worried.  

He stood outside your home, knocked, telling you it was only him and that he was worried because he hadn't saw you in two weeks. 

Silence 

He knocked again. 

Nothing 

He wasn't fond of entering without your permission but he had to make sure you were alright. He needed to make sure. 

He went to open the door to find it was unlocked already, though it wasn't uncommon for you, it seemed to unnerve him for some reason. Your home was dark, the curtains were all closed and no light was on. The lack of light only made him worry more. You always had light in your home whether from open curtains or candles lit at night so for your house to be so dark in the middle of the day was worrisome. He walked around your house looking for you until he came to your room. 

The door was closed and at first it seemed deadly silent from within your room as it was in the rest of your house. He stood there silently until he heard what sounded like a sob come from within your room. He opened the door to find you curled in on yourself in the corner of the room on your bed.  

"Y/n are you-" 

However you were surrounded by butterflies. 

Red butterflies. 

Blood Red butterflies 

"Aether?" 

He knew what was happening. He had seen this before. A friend from another world had died the exact same way, but he hadn't heard of it happening on Teyvat. He didn’t think it was possible here. He didn't want to believe it.  

"How long has this been going on for y/n?" Aether inquired while walking over to your side. 

"A-about two weeks now," you paused, taking a breath. "Aether do you know what's wrong with me?" 

The look in Aether's eyes told you the answer to your question. It hurt Aether to see you like this, to hear you sound broken. It seemed that at the very least the disease wasn't well known in Teyvat if at all. 

You didn't have much longer. It was obvious with how pale you were and the number of butterflies around you. Most people barely survived a month with the disease. Typically the victim died within three to four weeks of obtaining it. So it was easy to tell you would be dead soon. 

He stayed by your side, tending to you as you slowly grew weaker and couldn't perform simple tasks let alone even walk. The only time he left your side was to inform Tartaglia of your condition and what was going to happen as well as ask Albedo if he knew anything of the disease. 

Aether was told that while it did exist in Teyvat, it was extremely rare. 

The moment Aether got back he was immediately by your side again. 

You died in his arms five days later. 

He laid you down on your bed as the butterflies landed on and around you to rest peacefully alongside with you.  

Aether sat on the ground next to your bed, closing his eyes only to start coughing. He looked at his hand only to be met with flowers. 

Red flowers. 

Blood Red flowers.

im thinking of geo aether going so red to the point of him vibrating. you noticed that he was shaking since you were gently holding his cheeks so you worriedly asked if he was doing okay. stuttering, he said he was fine but his voice was shaking as well (like how your voice would sound if you spoke into a fan). you were still a bit worried that he was visibly shaking until you expressed your worry. you started to peice together that this was due to embarrassment when two heart-like structures erupted from the ground behind aether. your worry was instantly replaced with joy, as you couldn't help but giggle at your embarrassed boyfriend...

im thinking of electro aether generating small electric shocks as he hides his face in embarrassment. since you were relatively close to the boy, you had to dress bac to prevent yourself from being shocked. he noticed this and tried to gain back control of his newfound element which he did butever since then there has always been some discharge at times. for example: his kisses are electrifying. no really, sometimes when you kiss him you can feel your lips tingle when you two part. its not an unpleasant feeling nor does it hurt, its just something noteworthy and something you think about a lot...

thinking about how dendro aether would be super cute! when flustered, little sprouts a flowers grow from his body and if hes standing on grass the ground starts to blossom as well. different colours and types of flowers would grow and the amount would vary on how embarassed he is. if he's just a bit sheepish a single sprout would grow on his head as heshys away from your gaze. if he's full on embarrassed, a whole garden of flowers may grow! the perfect amount for you to weave them into a flower crown and place it on his head, hereby declaring him as the prince of your heart. this action, of course, leading to more flowers to grow, maybe even twice the amount as before! no matter, at least you'll have some more to make for yourself and paimon...

She could only watch as you excitedly scrolled through the endless Twitter threads, laughed at spoilers and marvelled at announcements made by the developers - and it got to the point where she just couldn't keep in her sadness any longer.

"Guys, Paimon has something to tell you." Paimon started sadly whilst floating in the air. Lumine and Aether looked at her in surprise and concern and got up from their Serenitea Pot beds. "We're gonna get replaced and Paimon doesn't want to be replaced yet, or ever!" Lumine's eyes widened and she slowly covered her mouth in disbelief.

"You're joking Paimon, right? [Name] would never replace us! They've spent primogems and mora on us. They can't leave us here!" Paimon could only shake her head and whimper. Unfortunately for her, her plan to only tell the travellers backfired, and soon came Kaeya. He was initially hoping he'd just caught the wrong end of the stick, but this time he was not mistaken. Then came in Jean and then Lisa and even Barabra. All of your characters came in to clarify, but in the midst of it all they broke down.

You were making your characters go to Inazuma to visit Kujou Sara, but whilst you were AFK they broke the news to her - much to her disappointment and sadness. She passed on the news to the Shogun with a heavy heart, and you should've seen how the poor puppet's facade faded. Out of all the characters, the Archons and children were most upset. Oh, my dear reader, they'll never you forgive if you leave them. Don't leave them for that new game. Zhongli will gift you all the cor lapis you want for ascension, and Ei will stop with her harsh rule of Inazuma! Venti'll never drink again, the Tsarista will give back the gnoses too! Why are you doing this? Please, change your mind!

You show him the songs you have picked out for him. The songs you have chosen were a bit touchy about his situation with his lost sister, you hoped it could help with his stress a bit.

The expression on his face grew sadder as the song continued on. You reach out and hold his hand shaking him out of his stupor. He turns towards you with small tears pricking at his eyes. In a swift movement, you pull him down, hugging him tightly. You can’t bring his sister home, but you can comfort him.

"She'll be home soon, don't worry, In the meantime, I'll do anything I can help you.”

Xiao

He looks at your phone in confusion as he has never seen this device. He grabs it carefully from your hands, throwing it when he accidentally hit the call button. The phone rings for a minute before you snatch it and click off it. You hand him the phone showing him his playlist of songs.

Going though the songs, his expression remains the same except a few eye twitches here and there. When the playlist is over, he stands up.

"Did you dislike it?" He ignores your words walking off within a wisp of smoke. You sigh upon returning to your room.

It surprises you the next day when you saw your missing phone. When you went to get it, you found it near Xiao sitting on the balcony.

Venti

As a musician himself, Venti is open to all types of music. When he first heard the song you were playing for him, his eyes went bright.

"So this is the music from where you're from?" He hums as he listens to "Best day of my life." His shoes tap along to the beat as the melody twists and turns.

"Mhm, most may be repetitive, but some are good." He frowns upon hearing one of the songs you mentioned.

Overall, he appreciates your taste in music. The music from the playlist even gave him new song ideas.

Wanderer

As he recovered from the Archon quest, you decided to make him a playlist to help him vent his emotions.

"What is "Oh no? " As words are played, his expression has darkened. You quickly change the song before he gets even more pissed off. You change it to " Sugar song to Bitter step."

You tapped your feet and you danced to the depressing lyrics. Wanderer rolls his eyes as he checks the other songs.

I see him being around 163cm tall.

You loved your girlfriend Jean ,but it always feels loney .Since she’s busy with paper work and your busy with (————-) so the two of you barely see each other ,which made it hard to process in the relationship ,but you two found a way.

recently you found out your transgender and were excited and nervous to tell your girlfriend. That was until, you realized that if you wanted to do that ,you would have to be awake at basically 3 am to see an overworked Jean. You instead decided to do it on an off day.

You also wanted this to be surprise for Jean ,because she is overworked and this is probably only one off day in the year ,so you decided to get her something.

There was one person you knew that would probably know around when she gets her off day. Barbara ,that’s because Barbara is Jean’s sister. So she would also know what to get for Jean.

The day had came where it was her off day

“Jean ,(insert pet name) ,guess what special day it is?” You say waking up next to her

“Mhmm I don’t know if remember ,but you seem more excited about this ,so that means it’s a good day for us or just you” she says drowsily

“Yep! Let’s get breakfast then go to the Windrise tree !”

‘Ok ok ,let me just get dressed ok?” She asks

“Ok Jean” you said

you wait for about 30 minutes ,until she came out in her summer uniform which is good ,because it was a hot day today

the both of you enjoyed your breakfast and ,after lots of catching up the both of you were already there.

“Jean I have something to tell you” you asked quietly “Yes anything honey.” She responded

“Well Recently I’ve found out that I think I’m a (preferred gender) and would appreciate if you call by __/__ pronouns instead ,if you don’t wanna date me anymore that’s fine.“

She was shocked at that last part ,because why would she leave you? You are one of the bests thing she has in her life. “(____)….. I didn’t know you felt that way ,but always know I will support you for who you are. And will definitely will help you on this journey. I would never leave you for who you are and you are one of the bests things I have in my life”

you look at her in awe ,until saying a very quite ,but happy ‘thank you

she grabs you into a hug and you both cuddle
