Kratos was as stoic as ever to the untrained eye, but if you looked closer, you could barely see the tightening of his jaw, the small twitch of his eye, or the way his muscles hardly tensed. His cold eyes held the smallest amount of helplessness like Mimir’s as he dragged the screaming boy behind him.

Atreus though is the one who stole the show. Fat tears ran down his face, snot dripped from his nose and his face was a bright cherry red as he uselessly kicked his legs behind him. He clawed at his father’s tight hold on his wrist and let out a scream like sob as he struggled behind the man.

“NO! Nooohhooh. I-I don’t want one! Please” Atreus screamed, his shrill shriek making Mimir wince. Kratos refused to acknowledge the boy as he approached Brok and Sindri, leaving Atreus to bawl his little soul out behind the men.

I I fucking aggressively love this fic it is just so funny and so beautiful at the end I can’t stop re reading it.

I have a wip on the ending bc I love it, my only issue is I’m losing motivation on it, but at the same time, I could post like a very rushed/sketchy version of it, but idk, a any thoughts anyone????? Idk 🤷

And yeah, I did recently just randomly got into the Street Fighter fandom because I play Brawlhalla and watch YouTube videos of it to the point YouTube started to recommend other fighting games to me, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Except I got more into Street Fighter because of this one character that got shown to me constantly EVERYDAY, A.K.I., and I just found her pretty crazy hot cool and especially 100% normal. Totally. Then eventually I quickly learned about her master/teacher, F.A.N.G, only to find him wildly entertaining cause he makes me laugh 😼👍

So what if a new student (reader) moved into town and it’s love at first sight for him. He’d bump into you after rambling to Scott about whatever was on his mind and knocks your binder and books to the ground.

Helping you pick up your stuff, right when he’s giving you your notebook, he’d look up and just. Stare. Cuz ZOOWEEMAMA YOURE ABSOLUTELY STUNNING IN HIS EYES

You’re busy thanking him and apologizing for the collision, waiting for him to let go of the notebook, voice slowly fading out when you notice him just staring at you with his mouth slightly open.

Most people would normally give him the stink eye, but seeing how you joked about it made his heart flutter a bit.

Everything is HISTORY after that. If you have any classes with Stiles, you already KNOW he’s gonna try and sit as close to you as possible. Teacher assigns partner or group projects? He’s springing out of his seat and going to you first. You both have the same lunch period? He’s inviting you to sit with him and his friends. You’re having trouble with a certain class? You just get him! You like his sarcasm and MIRACULOUSLY understand his random references from movies and video games! With all the time you guys spend together, his crush on you grows more and more.

You appreciate how Stiles is so interested in the things you like and dislike. You love how he asks why you enjoy a certain movie despite the terrible reviews it got. Why you dislike an artist he just began listening to. You both love the same things, but have different opinions on everything, every conversation flows so naturally with him that you can’t help but develop a crush on him too.

You’ve never met anyone as eccentric and energetic as him, he never fails to bring a smile to your face teehee

im convinced lottie is a bit of a technophobe so she's consulting your ass on everything. you get woken up in the middle of your nap to go turn the wellness center computer off and on again. you spend 20 minutes trying to talk her through sending an email before you give up and type it yourself while she dictates. she looks particularly smug after that one, so you think she may have gotten one over on you. she's so genuine most of the time that you're never quite sure. 

Lottie's a lot older than you but I really don't think she'd have all that much sexual experience given her circumstances. if she had slept with others before you it wouldn't have been that all that many. lottie would definitely be aware that she'd be expected to have more experience and is a little hesitant about telling you that she doesn't. point is I mostly just think she'd be very shy and blushy the first few times you had sex.

Lottie for sure tries to pay for all of your things. you try to pay for them yourself but she always seems to know. she pops out of nowhere with her debit card just as you're checking out like 😁. Lottie's not paying for your things expecting sexual favors out of it but she'd absolutely receive them. dropping to your knees in front of her after she pays for your textbooks??

she has no idea how much things cost. she's def like “how much could a banana cost? $10?”

the reading glasses stay on during sex. she's so embarrassed the first time you see her with them on but gets over it very quickly when you immediately jump her bones.

“okay, guys, let’s answer some questions!” your co-star, rocky, called from the couch where his phone was propped up on the cushion.

something you and your costars loved to do was go live on instagram. it was a good way to promo your movie and interact with fans. plus it was really fun to goof around with your friends.

cole pushed himself up from the floor and walked over to where you were on the chair, just in frame. he sat on the arm and slung his body over yours. “let’s see, got any good ones?”

“favorite scene to shoot?” rocky asked, squinting his eyes to see.

“guys we can’t spoil the movie!” you laughed along with the others. “but let me just say, any scene with these two is the best.”

cole leaned forward to see. “celeb crush?”

“mines zendaya. tom’s a lucky, lucky man.” rocky shook his head in sadness, all whilest smiling.

“i don’t have one,” you responded as cole and rocky looked shocked.

“uhm, yes you do!” cole yelled.

rocky immediately snitched. “she loooves the last of us, especially when ellie-”

“okay!” you yelled over top of them, “but we all know cole loves emma stone! maybe a little too much.”

the topic moved forward from there, but little did you know the fans did not.

it didn’t take long for ship edits, tags, and more to be spread across all of social media. as soon as the love ended, it was all you could see. you just hoped that bella wouldn’t see.

the night of the infamous golden globes finally arrived. you did your best to work with your stylist on your look. both co-stats thought you looked drop dead amazing, so things were going pretty well.

the press was the fun part. doing interviews was so much fun. sometimes there were challenges or games.

“so, miss l/n, anything you can say about the movie?” your interviewer asked.

“sadly nothing i can say would be acceptable. there’s so many spoilers! this movie has so many twists it’s hard to keep up.” you smiled with a giggle.

your interviewer laughed. “so, on a more personal note, let’s talk love.”

“well, there’s no love here. i’m completely and utterly single, as sad as that is,” you made a tear drop fall down your face with your finger.

right as you were walking in, you could hear people telling bella’s name on the carpet. as much as you wanted to look, you were being told to go sit to make room for the other celebs coming off the carpet.

you turned around and saw bella approaching, and god, did he look amazing. their hair was in a bun, glasses, a maroon suit to go with it all. maroon was a good color for him.

“hey, y/n, it’s nice to meet you!” bella smiled, hand out. you didn’t even notice sadie and olivia walk away.

shaking hands made you more nervous than anything ever. touching their skin was a whole new level.

“i’m sorry the last of us didn’t win tonight. it really deserved to.” you empathized, truly wishing bella had won.

“it’s alright, we’ll have many more chances i’m sure. you look stunning, may i add. literally, gorgeous.”

your face flushed at bella’s words. “oh! thank you, you look very gorgeous as well.”

“i saw your instagram live,” bella blurted out. you immediately put your face in your hands and groaned. bella was quick to grab them and remove them. “hey, no! it’s alright, no need to ruin your pretty makeup.” again, you blushed. “i just wanted to say, again, i think you’re gorgeous. incredibly, and you’re so talented and funny.”

you smiled brightly, not moving your hands from bella’s. “thank you. uh, sorry if this is forward-”

“i was thinking movies?” bella asked. “sorry, i just thought it would be more comfortable than a dinner with the paps. maybe at someone’s place, with pizza and popcorn?”

“yes, i’d love that!” you felt your insides rush with glee.

bella smiled wide, “awesome, great.”

well, you don’t just come in—you’re dancing, and it’s not just you. there’s a line of na’vi women parading through the clearing, all dressed in fancy garments (suited for dancers), ululating and gyrating their hips. amongst these experienced women, you stick out like a sore thumb. not because you’re dancing particularly bad, but because the line depresses drastically in height when it gets to you. but it’s cute, he thinks. adorable, even. 

usually, you’re a clumsy little thing, but right now you have this aura about you. it’s something fierce—and with every step, every twirl of your arms, and shake of your hips, he finds himself teetering closer and closer to the edge of his seat. 

and your eyes? your eyes haven’t left his since you stepped foot into his peripheral vision. they’re darker in color compared to his, but the amber hue flames of the fire light them ablaze. calling him, luring him—like a siren, and he, an unfortunate sailor who’s fallen into his own trap. 

when you round his section, you circle around him. once, twice, three times. his head is on a swivel, eyes never leaving yours as you make your way to the fire. 

you’re only dancing. it’s not like he hasn’t seen this exact same dance hundreds of times, with these exact same garments, and these exact same women who prance around seductively teasing men—because he has. a many of times. but…this was different, intimate. in a way that he couldn’t quite explain. 

and now you’re leaving your place around the fire and women, striding up to him all gracefully. he’s so entranced that he doesn’t process that you’ve grabbed his hands, nor does he process that he was now standing, and walking with you to the fire, and—

“wait, wait, what are you doi-“

but he’s already too far to turn back. he has to commit, especially since all eyes were now on you and him. this was calculated. an attack on his very name and the reputation that he’s so carefully crafted over these past few years. 

see, the thing about neteyam is…he doesn’t dance. he never got the chance to just goof around growing up, not like lo’ak, especially not like lo’ak. no, he was too focused training, and sparring—being primed for war. when you grow up with responsibilities that only an eldest child can be burdened with, you don’t dance. 

“i do not dance,” he tries to pull away, but to no avail. your grip on him is vice and your eyes are fierce, a silent assurance that you were not to be trifled with, at least not now, while there are stares. he surrenders his body to you, lets you pull him deeper into the abyss. 

for a while, he stands there rather awkwardly, just shifting side to side as you walk circles around him. moving just enough to appease you, but not enough to look like he’s enjoying himself. you’re not the least bit impressed, though. you know he can do better. much better. 

“stop being so rigid, move your body,” you poke his side, earning a playful hiss. “i want you to copy me, look, mimic my movements.” you back away slowly, swaying your arms side to side and whirling your fingers up to the sky before letting them drop in front of your face—palms facing outward, fingers spread. 

when he repeats it, you press your palms together, peeking through your fingers. in this moment, there is nobody else. just you, him, and the fire. eyes staring back into eyes, two souls connecting. now that he’s so close, he can see just about every detail of your irises. 

they’re not as dark as he’s always thought them to be, there’s a sparkle behind them. a light or fire that flickers brightly, and he can see himself, too. a mirage of himself burning in the fire. he doesn’t want to look away but then you’re backing away again, laughing and spinning wildly, and he tries to reach for you but you dodge his advances. catch me, you mouth. catch me. 

faster than he can blink, you end up behind him. playfully, you pull his tail and when he spins to stop you from doing it again, you stumble backwards. before your body has the chance to hit the soil, he catches you. lean, strong arms taking you into his hold: one supporting your neck and the other on the small of your back. there it was. that clumsiness.

“dancers are supposed to move with grace,” he whispers teasingly, his face so close to yours you can feel the warmth of his breath, “that wasn’t graceful.” he wants you to take the bait. take the bait, take the bait, take the bai—

“oh, mr. ‘i don’t dance’ is critiquing me now?” you bite. it took a second for you to answer him, partly because you were trying to come up with something slick to respond with, but mostly because of the proximity. his eyes were pretty, too pretty for a smug little shit like him. “guess the student becomes the master.”

he laughs in the interstice of your neck, pulling you up slowly to your original vertical position. eventually, the music begins to come to a somber decrescendo, signifying the end of the song, and you two quickly remember the audience surrounding you. 

“find me later,” you say into his ear. his tail shoots up from the insinuation. “i can teach you something else that isn’t dancing.”
