hey can you do one where like y/n does only fans and colby finds out about it?
Tumblr media
Warnings: strong language, onlyfans star!reader, friends to lovers
New series called Snippets. I will write a little for each request and then keep them all together so I can come back later and use them to write a full one shot. Hope that makes sense! Thank you!
══════════════════
Colby sounded different on the phone, he didn’t tell you anything was wrong, but you could tell there was something bothering him.
You liked Colby.
A lot.
The one thing that’s been holding you back from telling him about said feelings, is mainly your onlyfans page. You were sure whether or not Colby would be okay with that, and to be honest, you pay your bills with that money.
You wanted Colby, yes. But you weren’t sure if he wanted someone that has shown their tits for money.
After an hour and a half of taking pictures in different colored lingerie for your page, you wrapped it up at the perfect time because you hear the front door open and close with a powerful shove.
You shove your tripod in your closet and the lingerie at the bottom of your bottom dresser drawer and turn around just as there’s a knock on your door.
“Come in.”
The door opens and Colby walks in, “Hey.”
You give him a smile, “What’s up, Colbs?” Your smile fades when he doesn’t look at you for a few seconds, “Colby?”
His words shocked you, “Do you do porn?”
You blink a few times, “um. I mean yes and no.”
“What do you mean yes and no?” He turns towards you, “Do you just go through guys? Like what? how does that work?”
You hold up your hand, “Whoa, back it the hell up. What is your deal?”
Colby sighs, “My deal, is that you do porn and you never told me?”
You laugh slightly, mainly trying to cover up your nervousness, “Colby it’s not straight porn. Okay? I do OnlyFans. I don’t do anything nude. Well..”
He looks at you, “What do you do?”
You grab your laptop and bring it towards you. You get in, clicking around until you pull up your page, “Here. Look. The only really bad thing is that I show my boobs. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.”
He walks over, sitting down beside you as he takes your laptop. You can tell there’s a positive change to his demeanor and you bite your lip, “So.. who told?”
Colby laughs, “well.. actually.” He looks over at you, “one of Sam’s buddies sent him a screen shot and asked if it was you.”
He looks back at the computer screen and scrolls down, “It was this picture actually.” He point to the screen and you purse your lips, “That was a money post.”
“What’s that mean?” Colby looks at you and you can’t help but giggle, “It means.. you have to pay to see the photo.. and who ever sent that to Sam.. paid to see it.”
“So, they’re subscribed to you?” Colby asks and you nod, “or someone else he knows is?” You shrug, “I’m not sure, Colby.”
He just stares at you, “Huh.” He jocks his jaw and nods, “Mm. Okay.”
“So what? Are you like mad at me? Not friends anymore?” You purse your lips, “Like does this make you look at me different?”
Colby shakes his head, “Not really. Well.. I mean, okay. Yeah I see you differently now, but like..” he scratches his brow, “Why didn’t you just tell me?”
“I didn’t want to tell you because I wasn’t sure how you’d feel about it and I didn’t want to risk ruining our friendship.”
Colby chuckles, “Ruined?” He shake his head, “No. not at all. As I said. Different.. a hundred percent.”
“Different?” You ask as you tilt your head and he nods, “Oh yeah. You’re so much hotter than I originally thought.”
You can feel your cheeks growing warm and Colby’s next question didn’t help any matters, “So how do you feel about potentially doing porn?”
Fuck, you think, “Um. I mean..” you laugh slightly and look down before looking at Colby, “Maybe if it was someone I was comfortable with?”
You nod, Colby heavy on your mind, “Yeah. I think I could do it.”
A smirk grows on his lips as he slowly leans in, giving a nod to the right with his head, “Go get those pretty little outfits, because we’re about to be making you bank, baby.”

Imma need a part 2 of bothersome🫣🥺PLEASEEE
Bothersome - Part 2
LAW X READER!! (PLEASE SEND MORE REQUESTS! PLEASE! 🙏)
You stood at the edge of the ship, watching the sunset slowly set. After Punk Hazard, you all returned back to the ship. Out to Dressrosa, to help Law with whatever he was planning. “So you’re just going to ignore me?” That deep voice called out to you. You continued staring out to the sea, hearing footsteps behind you come closer. You could sense him standing next to you, staring at you.
“What’s wrong with that? You did it to me throughout our relationship,” you said softly.
“I’m sorry, (Y/N). Please forgive me, what I did was wrong and I don’t want this affecting the allia-“ you quickly cut him off. “Why would our past affect the alliance? Did you honestly think I haven’t moved on by now?” You laughed. “I-… No I didn’t think that, but…” he trailed off. “Don’t worry, I’ll happily accept my captain’s orders… even if it means having to be in alliance with you,” you said coldly.
You turned around and headed towards the girl’s quarters. “(Y/N), I wasn’t done speaking!” He said, as he followed me. “Ok, so what else did you have to say?” You asked as you turned back to face him. “U-Uh… well you look… nice. How have you… been?” He asked awkwardly. “You really want to have a quick catch up?” You scoffed. “Well like you said we’re in an alliance now, so we should be able to have civil conversations,” he explained. You raised an eyebrow, “Traffy, weren’t you the one that tried to explain to Luffy that an alliance doesn’t mean we’re friends?” You asked.
“Not you using that dumb name too… a-and I did but-“ you cut him off. “Exactly! Thank you for remembering! Now I’ll be off to my room,” you said as you turned back and quickly entered your room before he could stop you.
You threw yourself on your bed, “Just another example of having the worst luck ever… Now I have to see and help my ex for who knows how long,” you sighed as you stared at the ceiling. “This is all so stupid and awkward!” You said to yourself as you rubbed your head. Out of all people, him?! At this point you would’ve preferred if Kidd showed up or something… And what the hell is up with him trying to have small talk with me? Does he expect me to be buddy buddy with him like nothing happened?
You quickly sat up, and shook your head. “Stop thinking about him. We’re over him, he doesn’t affect us anymore…” you said to yourself as you felt tears fall down your face. “God I’m so stupid!” You yelled.
Suddenly you heard the door open, and you quickly wiped away any tears. “(Y/N)? Are you awake?” You heard Robin call out. “Hi Robin,” you sniffled. “What’s wrong?” She asked as she sat on the edge of your bed. “It’s nothing, just some bad memories…” you said, as you avoided her eyes. “You know you can tell me, I’m your friend (Y/N),” she smiled as she placed her hand on top of mine. “I know, thanks,” you smiled softly. “I came to check on you, because I saw how upset you looked after speaking with Trafalgar,” she replied. “Yeah, I just don’t feel too comfortable around him,” you confessed. “You should tell Luffy, I’m sure he’ll under-“ you quickly cut her off. “No! No…” you repeated. “I can’t let him know! I can’t-“ you shut your mouth, afraid of your voice cracking.
“Let him get to you? I don’t understand,” she said, confused. You sat there in silence, pondering whether to tell her or not. “(Y/N), I’ll always be here for you. Do you and Trafalgar have a past history?” She asked. “Mhmm… I used to be a part of his crew, before I left…” you trailed off. “You left? Why?” She asked. “We were dating… until he shared his true feelings with me. I couldn’t stay there, not after what he said to me… So I left, while he was distracted by some Marines,” you explained, feeling a heavy weight fall off your shoulder. “Oh my,” Robin gasped. “Yep, so now we’re in an alliance with him. It’s weird, and I’ve moved on… but it sucks seeing him,” you said slowly.
“I see,” she said softly. “It’s ok, we’ll show him that you’ve grown. That no matter what he does, he can’t hurt you. Especially when you have friends here that will support you,” she smiled as he wrapped me into a hug. “You’re right!” You grinned. Your beautiful moment was quickly interrupted by your stomach growling. “Ah… I guess all this talk got me hungry,” you said sheepishly. “Let’s go get dinner,” Robin said. You nodded and the both of you quickly headed to the dining table.
You sat in between Robin and Luffy, and across from… Law. “Here you go everyone, dinner’s ready!” Sanji smiled as he sat down to eat. “Thank you,” we all said and quickly began eating. You reached forward for a rice ball, and brushed your hands against Law’s. You immediately flinched, looking up to see him staring your way.
You quickly grabbed a rice ball and pulled your arm away. You began to eat, trying to look anywhere but his direction. “Hey (Y/N)!” Said Luffy, breaking you out of your concentration. “Y-Yes?” You stuttered as you looked next to you. “Are you gonna finish your meat?” He asked, drooling. “Luffy! Leave (Y/N)’s food alone!” Sanji yelled. “It’s fine, you can have it Luffy,” you smiled as you handed him your plate.
“Thanks!” He smiled, but it quickly turned into a frown as he stared at you. “Something wrong?” You asked. “Yeah… one sec,” he said as he moved his hand to your face. Slowly wiping away at your cheek, you felt your cheeks heat up. “Sorry, you had rice on your cheek,” he laughed. “Oh, thanks,” you smiled. “Ow!” Luffy yelled, causing everyone to focus their attention on him. “Someone stepped on me!” He huffed. “Huh?” You questioned.
“You’re just imagining it,” Nami said. “Here Luffy, take my sandwich,” you said as you placed it onto his plate. “Wow!” He said, quickly changing his focus back onto his food. You slowly turned your eyes to the man in front of you. You almost fell out of your seat, once seeing the daggers that this man was staring into you.
“I-I’ll think I’ll call it an early night, night you guys,” you said as you quickly headed out of the dining room.
“Man that was tense,” you sighed as you walked towards your room. You slowly reached for the door knob, before suddenly being turned over and being pushed against the wall. You grunted as your back hit the door, you quickly opened your eyes to see that you were trapped by… Law… “T-Traffy?” You asked nervously. “So I see that you moved on, but I didn’t know you had a thing for captains,” he said coldly. “Woah… Woah… you think I moved from you onto Luffy? You’re crazy,” you laughed.
You noticed a light pink hue on his cheeks, as you continued to laugh. “Well why the blushy face when he reached for your face?” He questioned. “Well… wouldn’t anyone blush if you had food on your face and your friend took it off?” You asked. “I- Uh-“ you quickly cut him off. “Look like someone else needs to move on,” you laughed again, while slowly turning around to open the door. But was quickly turned back around, “Stop messing with me!” He yelled.
“What do you want from me? Do you still wish that I head head over heels for you, well tough shit cause you messed that up!” You yelled. You noticed that he was slightly taken aback by your response. “So what if I end up liking Luffy or whoever! That has nothing to do with you! You’re nothing to me, nothing,” you growled as you pushed him away.
“I’m not the same girl anymore, that would follow your every word. Or kiss the floor where you stepped on,” you glared. “So just leave me alone… haven’t you done enough?” You asked as you were finally able to open the door to the girls’ quarters. You quickly entered the door, ignoring Law’s calls for you. As you went to slam the door, a foot stopped it from slamming.
“Jesus Christ, you just don’t know when to leave a girl alone…” you groaned. “I’m sorry… I just want to say that I’m sorry,” he peeked through. “Ok now mov-“ he cut you off. “I’m sorry… for what I said. When you left, I realized how much I missed you- needed you… We went back to the island, but you were already gone. I don’t know what went over me, I-I missed your laughs, your smile, you interrupting me from my work, calling me honey… I know I screwed up, and seeing you now… Just reminds me of when we were still together… but I guess that’ll never be the case again,” he confessed. You stayed silent. “I’ll leave you alone, or as much as I can… I just wanted to let you know how I felt,” he said softly before removing his foot. Finally allowing you to shut the door.
You let out a deep sigh, and slowly slid down against the door. “Why do I feel like this?” You asked yourself as you clenched your hair. “What do I do now…?” You softly cried into your arms.

hello! Can I ask about Oscar and his youngest son's first day of school? Where his son is very nervous and fears what might happen but he calms him down
"You must be Jack!", the young man said, crouching down in front of your son so he could face him, "I'm Luke and I'm going to be your teacher", he introduced himself.
"Hi, I'm Jack", he said, looking around the environment he was in. You did tell him he would be going to spend the day with new people and meet all his new friends, and there seemed to be toys to play with like his brother told him.
"You can stay here with him at the start while we wait for the other little legends", he smiled before greeting another family that stood by the classroom door, "you can leave your things in the cube with your name, Jack!", he pointed.
You noticed your son walking slowly, always making sure you and Oscar were near him as you put his backpack on the cube alongside his cardigan, "is everything alright, buddy?", Oscar asked once he noticed tears pooling in his eyes as he looked at the floor.
"What's wrong, love?", you asked, crouching down so he could hug you, his little arms wrapping around your neck as his tears soaked your shirt, "it's okay, little man, it's okay", you soothed as you rubbed circles on his back.
"Do you want to tell us why you're upset?", Oscar encouraged softly as he sat down on the floor, you following his movements and kneeling down so you would be more comfortable.
Jack looked at both of you, "I'm going to spend the day here, right? What am I going to do the whole time?", he asked.
"You can't read yet, but Luke has a timetable on the board there", you smiled as you pointed out to the projected timetable, "right now, you're going to wait for everyone to arrive, then you'll introduce yourselves, and then you'll have snack time".
"Then you'll come back to the classroom for some arts and crafts", Oscar carried on, "then onto lunch time, which sounds delicious because it's spaghetti, and then you're going to spend the afternoon playing outside".
"Oh, okay, and then you'll come to pick me up?", Jack questioned. If you were telling him the truth, it didn't sound that bad.
"Yes, love, me and daddy will come pick you up and then we'll go pick up Lucas, how does that sound?", you suggested.
"Sounds nice", he mumbled.
"If there is any problem, your teacher can call us and we will come to get you, okay?", Oscar checked, not wanting him to not do it because he thought he'd be bothering you.
Luke approached you with a little boy next to him, "Jack, this is Colin and he and the rest of the class were wondering if you'd like to come with them to paint in that big sheet", he spoke to your son, "I'm not rushing you, though, if you want to stay here with him for a bit longer, it's okay", he checked with you and Oscar.
Jack wiped his cheeks and dried his hands on his shorts, "okay, can I draw an orange car?", he asked, "of course!", Luke gasped, "those are my favourite, too!", Colin said.
"Are you sure you want to go in now? We can stay for a bit longer if you want to, Jack", Oscar assured your son, "I can do it, daddy", he said as he kissed his cheek before kissing yours, "I love you, see you later!", he waved cutely as they walked to the big white sheet and the different paints and brushes.
"He's all grown up", you cooed, smiling at how brave he was for asking for help, "he is", Oscar agreed, helping you up and walking out of the classroom with your hands intertwined.
(Thank you for sending this in ✨️)

Can I request milkman X reader where the reader was always getting in trouble some way or another when they were a kid and they always got bored and just telling Francis stories about what they did when they were a kid?
Such as jumping out the window to go out with some friends because they were grounded and bored, prank calling on neighbours, chasing cars while riding their bicycles in a crowded street, climbing high trees and just jumping off of them, getting into playground fights and things like that..........(I did some of those)
Francis was a boring kid and never did anythings for sure, he'd have a freak out if his partner was somewhat of a troublemaker omg
Thanks for the ask, Anon!
WARNINGS/ CONTENT INFO; Fluff, GN Reader, Francis being a worried little guy, established relationship, kinda short sorry, Reader is silly
The first time you told Francis about your childhood shenanigans was when the two of you were resting on the couch after a long and hard day. He was comfortably nestled against your chest and inbetween your legs, while you ran your fingers through his hair and pressed a kiss against the top of his head from time to time. He had looked up at you in slight shock and worry after you had asked if he had ever slipped when climbing through windows, for you, that was a totally normal question, for him, it was a reason to be genuinely worry about his partners wellbeing. Afterwards, he was always on edge to make sure you weren't getting too close to any of the windows in the shared apartment. A little too much, in your opinion.
You swore to yourself to tell him your most outrageous childhood stories whenever he least expected it. Partly because you wanted him to understand how normal it was to you, partly because his shocked face was just too funny to you. Genuinely, he looked like you had just told him the world was ending.
The next time you spoke to him about it, you were extra casual about it. "You know, I once beat up an older kid because he threw sand in my buddy's face." You hummed as the two of you were cooking dinner, his arms wrapped around your waist as his head rested on yours while you kept an eye on the stove. Francis had immediately peeled himself away from you to give you that little look of 'what the fuck is wrong with you'. You started giggling, and for a second Francis was relieved. "I thought you were serious." He sighed. "Oh, I am. Your expression was just funny." You responded, a grin on your lips as you leaned up to kiss him softly. Francis groaned in annoyance, shoving you playfully.
From then on, Francis watched you with the utmost care. He was always prepared for more stories - which, of course, was no fun to you since you wanted to catch him off guard. For days, you waited for the perfect opportunity until he came home from work, especially tired. Definitely not up for your bullshit. A perfect opportunity.
You grinned wickedly as he walked through the front door, already sensing his mood simply from the way he slouched and the fact that he hung up his jacket just a little slower than usually - you had grown used to the exact time it took him to walk from the front door to the couch. After living together for so long, it was honestly just habit.
"Francis, love." You called out, the slightest hint of mischief in your voice. He grumbled, knowing you were up to no good, because in all seriousness, when were you ever up to any good (the answer was probably never). "Did I ever tell you about the time I chased cars around my neighbourhood? Or when I broke my leg because I jumped off a tree?" You started, and Francis mumbled something about you being an idiot. You simply chuckled as he walked towards the couch.
You followed him around the apartment for the next hour or so, continuing with your most dramatic stories. At this point, Francis was seriously considering taping your mouth shut, though he wasn't sure if you might already have a story about that. You continued to yap about police arresting you, childhood fights, and whatever else came to mind.
At the end of the day, Francis was more exhausted by you than he had been by work, which was a new low for him, really. Usually, you'd be the one to give him energy, not steal it, and run away while giggling manically - which he honestly thought was a thing you'd do.
At last, he managed to shut you up by saying he'd make dinner and breakfast if you'd just stop talking, a deal you were very willing to take. After all, Francis made such a wonderful house husband - and he wore an apron while cooking, which was honestly lovely eye candy to you. You pressed a kiss to his forehead, smiling. "Thanks, love." You hum, and he sighs in defeat. "You'll be the death of me one day, dear." He responds, though a smile plays on the corner of his lips, and you know he isn't serious.

Requests open!
~~~
Tumblr media
Ever since you came out as nonbinary, it's like you planted the target on your back yourself. The bullying increased. It didn't matter if Regina George was your girlfriend; NorthShore High was ruthless. You haven't brought any of it up to Regina, you learned to deal with it yourself. Not wanting anyone to face Regina's wrath on your behalf. No matter how mean they were to you.
At the end of third period bell, you collected your things and made your way out of the English classroom. Heading for the cafeteria to meet up with your girlfriend and the rest of the plastics.
As you turned out of the class and started heading for the locker (which happened to be in the same hall), you were suddenly picked up. Arms locked by two jocks who held you just above the ground, when your feet kicked in protest they just barely missed the floor underneath you. The jocks laughed and looked at each other with malicious smirks. They carried you off to the janitor closet, your protests heard throughout the hall but people just laughed and recorded. No one bothered to help you. One jock opened the closet while the other shoved you inside, closing the door.
"Should've stayed in the closet, heshe!" One shouted while the other laughed and gave him a fist bump. Right as they were about to push a table in front of the door, someone cleared their throat and got their attention.
Moments before...
Regina, Karen, Gretchen and Cady all sat at their usual spot in the cafeteria. Waiting for you to join them. Regina had already gotten her cheese fries at this point and was taking a bite from them as she glanced at her phone, checking for any texts from you. She frowned slightly when she didn't see anything. Usually you always messaged her right after your class; to let her know you were on your way. If you would be late, you made sure she knew.
"Hey, have you guys seen Y/N?" Regina asked, she couldn't help feeling like something was wrong.
"Like today or ever?" Karen replied, staring at Regina with her usual wide eyes.
The blonde narrowed her eyes at Karen in an 'are you serious?' kinda way.
"Um, no. I saw them in math this morning but not since then." Cady told Regina, you and Cady share math together as a homeroom. Regina bit her bottom lip slightly as she looked at her phone again.
"Oh my God." Gretchen suddenly gasps, she's been looking at Instagram. Her feed full of the videos people have been recording of Y/N and the jocks situation. She looks up at Regina, "Regina, look!" She showed Regina her phone.
Immediately, the blonde's blood boiled. She was pissed. The nerve these people had...
She got up quickly, the entire cafeteria seemed to freeze in place as she stormed out of it and into the halls. People moving to escape her gaze. Nobody wanted to get in Regina's way. It's like the whole school could feel she was pissed.
In moments, she reached the janitors closet. Right after the jock had made that 'heshe' comment and him and his buddy were pushing the table in front of the door. Regina folded her arms and cleared her throat, giving them her signature glare. They froze.
"R-Regina, how's your day going?" The one tried playing it off, leaning against the table in a casual way. The other nodded in a poor attempt at going along. When you heard them mention Regina, you felt a sense of relief wash over you and tried opening the door. Considering it was blocked by the table, it opened only slightly just to be closed again. You let out a frustrated groan and banged your fist on the door.
"Let me out, jackasses!" You shouted, they tensed. Regina's glare sharpened.
"Let. them. out." She emphasized each word through her teeth as she spoke, sending shivers down the jocks spine. They immediately sprung into action. Both pushing the table out of the way so you could open the door. You stepped out and took a breath, you hated the janitor closet; any small space for that matter.
"If I ever catch you so much as looking at them...!" Regina didn't even need to finish her threat. The jocks got the message loud and clear and nodded their heads quickly before scurrying off, Regina gripped your wrist and pulled you away to an empty classroom.
Now alone, Regina's demeanour softened and she sighs. Looking you up and down for a moment before her eyes meet yours, hand moving to rest just under your jawline. Instinctively your head moves into her hand slightly.
"How long?" Regina asks, eyes never leaving yours. Even when you move your gaze from hers.
You hesitated with your answer, which told Regina everything she needed to know. Too long. She pulls you into a hug and you hug back, the two of you staying in silence for a moment; enjoying the comfort of each other.
Regina spoke up again.
"If anyone does anything, I'm being so fucking serious right now Y/N, if anyone so much as looks at you the wrong way... tell me. Promise you'll tell me." She makes you look at her, keeping her arms firmly wrapped around your waist in a protective manner. You knew she wouldn't let you say no, Regina didn't care if you didn't want other people getting in trouble. She was going to do what she had to to protect you.
"Okay..." You replied, your voice quiet. Not quiet as in a whisper, but somewhere between. You could feel as she relaxed against you.
~~~
End note: I love all of you 🫶 non-binary people are ♾️% valid, I myself use they/them pronouns! Everyone is welcome on my page 💞
With that said, I hope you enjoyed the fic! Any feedback is welcomed.

timkon; tim never takes naps, so something must be wrong.
Tim bobs up to wakefulness reluctantly. Someone's hand is in his hair. It's nice, though—no pain, no promise of violence. A soothing touch. A familiar one.
"Heya, Rob. Taking a nap?"
With great effort, Tim squints his eyes open. A blurry blob of black, red, and blue. Something round. Shades? Something shiny. Spikes? Knives? Who cares. He closes his eyes again.
"You okay? Did you pass out again?"
"Nnnn." Tim swats at the fingers trying to turn his face. "No. Head hurts."
The hand drift back to his hair, petting slightly. "Cassie, can you come here? Tell me if he's burning up."
Cool fingers touch his forehead. Tim scrunches up his face, trying to duck away. "Oh, yeah. He's got a tiny fever. I'm going to go grab some meds."
A soft whoosh. The hand in his hair pulls away for a moment. Tim whines, reaching out blindly. He hits fabric. Latches on.
"Shh, shh, it's okay."
Tim peeks open an eye again. It causes a sharp stab of pain to shoot through his head. "Kon," he says.
"Yeah, buddy. You pulled another all-nighter, didn't you? Do we need to hold another intervention about self-care?"
"Kon," Tim complains. Then he loses track of everything again, head screaming and body feeling way too heavy. He hates being sick.
"Okay, let's get you to bed," says Kon, voice soft. He picks Tim up without dislodging the death grip Tim has on his shirt. His TTK continues brushing through Tim's hair as they move away from the lounge area up to their quarters.
Seemingly between one heartbeat and the next, Tim is nestled in his bed. The lights are off and the room is quiet. The door slides open and Cassie slips in.
"Here." She drops onto the bed and helps Tim sit up. "Come on. Just swallow this and then you can go back to sleep, okay?"
Tim swallows the pill and the water obediently. His eyes are barely open. When the water is gone, Cassie leans over and smacks a loud kiss on his forehead. Before she leaves, she turns back to call, "Get better soon, okay, co-leader?"
He lies back down, whimpering only slightly when he accidentally falls a little too hard onto the pillow. "Urghhh."
"Need to throw up?"
"No..." Tim lifts his arms to cover his head. "I'm fine," he says, muffled. "You don't have to babysit me."
Kon hums. The bed dips again. The comforter lifts, and then Kon is pressing up against Tim's side. Immediately, without question, Tim curls into him. An ingrained habit, a natural instinct.
"You know, I think you're right. It is the perfect time for a nap."
Tim wants to argue, but his head is fuzzy again. A gentle pressure pushes him more firmly into Kon's arms. He huffs out a breath, feeling Kon's warmth seep into his own skin. And then, like a wink, Tim's gone.

You weren't much of a party goer, but if Billy went, so did you. You two were good friends and you may have developed some feelings for him. Usually, you would keep to yourself at parties, picking a corner to stand in with a drink in hand. But with Billy? You were by his side, smiling and laughing with everyone else.
One of Billy's buddies was throwing a party and you tagged along with him. You didn't mind being an observer as Billy moved from group to group, talking and laughing. You were just happy to be with Billy, even if you just stayed by his side and let him do the talking.
Your drink was running low, so you tugged on Billy's sleeve and he leaned his head closer in order to hear you over all the noise.
"'M going to get another drink. You want anything?" You asked.
"I'm good, thanks, babe," he replied before jumping right back into his conversation.
That was another thing. He called you things like 'babe' or 'sweetheart', blurring the lines between friends and more. You couldn't tell if he had feelings like you, or if he was just comfortable as friends.
You gave the group a quick smile before turning and going towards to the kitchen. You slipped your way through the crowd of half-drunk teenagers. You found the kitchen and quickly refilled your cup with your drink of choice, careful not to bump into the random couple who totally weren't making out.
You left the kitchen to go back to Billy, taking a refreshing sip of your drink. You could spot him through the crowd, those golden curls and blue eyes being hard to miss. But you nearly dropped your cup when you saw a girl pulling at his jacket while he smiled down at her.
Were you jealous? Maybe, but you weren't going to admit it to yourself in that moment. You caught Billy's eye from across the room and his smile dropped. You watched as he pushed the girl away but you were making your way to the door before he could try to get to you.
You knew Billy was a flirt, you had watched a bunch of girls try to win him over, so why were you so upset at this? Because you love him, you thought before quickly pushing it away. You made your way out into the yard, the cool night air more refreshing then the crowded indoors. You tossed your cup into a bush, the drink splashing onto the ground.
You heard Billy's boots hitting the concrete as he raced to catch up with you.
"Hey, where are you going?" He asked, grabbing your arm to stop you.
"I'm going home," you answered, trying to pull yourself away from him but he wouldn't let you go.
"What's wrong? What's going on?"
"Nothing's wrong!" You yelled, spinning around to face him. "Now, go back to the party. I don't want to keep you from all the girls in there."
Billy stared at you for a second, then smiled. "What?" He asked, almost laughing.
"I saw that girl in there, and I've seen girls trying to get with you," you answered. "What's so funny?"
"Oh, sweetheart. I don't like them, I like you. It's always been you," he said, stepping closer and slowly closely the space between you two.
"You...what?" You whispered, just loud enough for him to hear.
"I like you, hell, I may love you at this point," he replied, matching your volume as he tilted your face up with his fingers. "I was waiting for you to make a move."
You smiled, your face heating from his touch, words and gaze. "I was waiting for you to make a move."
You saw his eyes fall to your lips and before you could fully process it, his lips were on yours. It took a second, but you quickly melted and wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. He moved the hand that tilted your chin up to your cheek, cupping it while his other hand fell to your waist. You could hear your heartbeat in your ears rather than the loud music from inside.
For those few moments, it was just you and Billy.
Then, he pulled away and you were pulled back into reality. Both of his hands cupped your cheeks as he pressed his forehead to yours. You covered his hands with yours as you smiled at him, a smile which he returned.
"Is that enough of a move for you?" He asked.
You giggled. "I may need one more kiss, just to be sure."
Billy started to pepper your face in quick kisses, causing your giggles to erupt into laughter.
And just like that, it was just you and Billy again, and you wouldn't trade it for a stupid party.

A thought I had while watching top gun is in the scene when mav is like "don't tell me tell his family" and Bob looks sad I imagine that he's imagining someone having to tell his wife that he's dead 😭 the angst especially if they have kids / she is pregnant
omg yes!!
“don’t tell me, tell it to his family,” is replaying in bob’s mind all day.
he’s off, and everyone can tell he’s off.
“baby on board, everything okay?” even hangman’s voice doesn’t have the usual teasing tilt to it.
“p-peachy keen,” bob tries for nonchalance but the truth is, the thought of you having to come with your son to collect his belongings because he died on this mission is ringing like a bell in his head. R
hangman hums but they all move on with their day. bob isn’t there yet with his teammates to give them the whole rundown of your marriage and your son.
it lingers on his mind though. he doesn’t feel better till he’s parking in the front of the house and watches you open the door.
you notice something’s wrong with your husband immediately, bob knows you know when you stop your son from running across the yard and whisper, “wait till daddy gets to the door baby,”
“hi daddy!” bob’s miniature twin jumps on him and bob feels the ache in his chest dull slightly.
“hi buddy, you been good to your mama?” you ruffle bob’s gelled hair as you son affirms.
“and i helped her with dinner! we made,” he pauses, “mama, what did we make again?”
bob laughs then, heart light with the love of his son.
“we made daddy’s favourite, walleye.”
bob ushers you inside and locks the door behind himself.
“why don’t you go wash up buddy? and i’ll help your mama plate up?”
your son is wiggling out of bob’s arms in a flash.
you turn to bob and cup his cheek, “what happened today, robby?”
his eyes fill with tears behind his glasses, “something mav said,” you wait for him to continue in silence. “about us having to explain to the other pilots’ family and i just, i couldn’t stop thinking of you having to come collect my suit.”
“oh robby,” you coo, pulling him to your chest as your hand glides up and down his back. “i’m sorry that was on your mind today baby.”
you wipe his tears but know there’s really nothing you can say to get him not to worry about that. “i know you’ll do your best to make it back to us, i knew what i was getting into.” you say softly, feeling his nod on your shoulder.
“it just really got to me,” he says, wiping his cheeks before your son comes back out of the bathroom. “i love you, both of you.”
“i love you too,” you kiss him only to be interrupted by little feet pattering,
“mama, i want a kiss too.” bob chuckles as he pulls away and for now he’s comforted by the fact that he is home.

Some stories gets told: Reversed roles
Pairing: OPLA!Roronoa Zoro x fem!reader
Summary: The battle is over and while everyone is in the right mood celebrate a certain writer is not. This is Zoro's time to comfort her and tell her a story of a lost friend.
Pt.1\\Masterlist\\Pt.2
Tumblr media
If four days ago people would have told her she was going to be a loyal member of a pirate crew that wasn't Shank’s' she would have laughed; if four days ago people would have told her she was going to tell someone her story, she would have joked about it; if four days ago they would have told her she was going to be chasing for her dream she would have been lying that her dream was to have a boring life in Syrup Village, but there she was: in her room revising her writing for the the crew's boarding diary.
She was deep in her thoughts when someone knocked on the door, Sanji wanted to ask if she needed anything to eat or drink, her answer came in the form of point her water bag on her desk. The blonde pirate left her alone with her diary and her thoughts.
She kept staring at the same portion of her draft, thinking if it was worth it or not putting her story in there. She thought there was no use in that, who would have been interested in the past experience of a pirate like her, with a dream so useless as hers? Reading what she had wrote about the rest of crew, she was reminded once again that maybe she had to change her dream. Being the most famous writer in the world was nothing compared to what her new friends wanted to achieve.
This time no one knocked on her door, Zoro just came in without making his presence noticed.
-What...- the two of them hold eye contact for some seconds untill the swordsman noticed he got in the wrong room. -Right, not my room. Sorry.- when he left she laughed, for a moment and decided to appoint how the pirate couldn't find his way on his ship either.
She could sense her head exploding, her eyes started to hurt like crazy and if she didn't want to Usopp to lecture her she had to stop and take a break.
Entering the kitchen she was met with a smiling Luffy and a very confused Usopp, Sanji and Zoro.
-What is happening?-she asked.
-I wish I knew.-whispered Usopp leaning closer to her, his attention still on the captain that was taking something out from a bag.
-Hello guys.-said the...head? of a clown. What was happening??
-You gotta be kidding me.- scoffed the green haired man. The situation was still new to her, and Usopp too. Sanji as well couldn't understand why Zoro was stressed about having to deal with the head of a clown.
-What is wrong with this clown's head?- Y/N asked, she was curious to why there was such tension between the swordsman and... the clown's head.
-Oh, nothing, just that he tried to kill us for a map.- oh, that makes sense she thought to herself and took a piece of paper and wrote down "clown attack" as a note for later. She was going to write about that for sure.
-Zoro, buddy. Look I have changed, I am not here to kill you anymore.- the head spoke. Zoro rolled his eyes and pointed a finger at Luffy before warn his friend that if the clown did anything remotly suspicious, he was going to drop him out in the open sea.
She noticed how much fun the head was in teasing every single one of the crew, first with Y/N pointing out how sad she was looking, then with Usopp calling him 'Captain Shit-tastic'; then it was Zoro's time to get teased but the second in command was not going to stay calm about it. He took Buggy's head from his kerchief and threaten him to drop him at sea.
Zoro wanted to make sure it wasn't a trap, after all he had tried to kill him, Luffy and Nami the first time they had met. Usopp and Y/N kept an eye during the whole interaction between the two of them and hoped, at least the girl, that this was going to be the last time him and the head would argue like that.
Once Buggy gave his word that he was not walking them into a trap, starting singing a very obscene and out of tune sea shanty, Zoro decided to drop him inside a barrel. Y/N had to hold in her laugh, she didn't want to upset the clown further even though he was not in the situation to do anything about people laughing at him.
-...sounds like you don't know her either, mosshead.-
-they do look like moss, now that I give a better look at them.-
-yours look like a bird nest, now thay I gibe a better look at them.- he mocked her, annoyed about the comment she made. She was about to compliment him for his payback(?) but Sanji started to yell at him that was in no way how he was supposed to treat a lady. -I'm sorry m'lady.- he said in a mocking tone giving her a courtsy. -I'm sach a savage.- and with that he left the deck, deciding that maybe it was better for him to stay away from everyone.
-I hope his comment didn't hurt your feelings, madam.- the use of 'madam' cringed her a little bit, mostly because it never happened before that someone used the term for her.
-Nah, he was joking, is okay. So, what where you talking about?-
-Nami.-started Luffy. -and her choice, whatever it is I need to hear it for myself.- she was happy to have found such a nice pirate, if it was anyone else, she was pretty sure they wouldn't care and would have left her behind. But not Luffy. He was different and she couldn't help but smile at her captain.
It was after some minutes that Usopp spotted land and staring at the island she started to get nervous, what if it was a waste of time? What if Nami didn't want to come with them? What if she was going to loose her company? She didn't want to admit but, even though she had known Nami for literally two days, she had grew fond of the girl and considered her as a sister. She didn't want to face rejection from her.
Entering the village she started to feel a rush of sadness taking over her body. She had never seen anything like that before, thinking what Kuro planned was bad enought she had to consider, the fake butler was an angel compared to Aarlong. She was sure it was him, and Luffy only confirmed her thoughts.
-Hey, shithat! I think we can all agree that Aarlong's a bad fish.-it got her everytime Buggy would start talking, she wasn't used to such a situation. -But why don't we quit lollygagging and get my body back?-
-Pipe down in there.- commented Sanji. Not him nor the rest of the crew was in the mood to listen to a head complaining about his situation.
-or what? You gonna whip me up a soufflè?- that, she had to admit it, was funny but maybe just for her because the four boys looked at her confused.
-What? It was funny.- she answered
-I like her, she gets me.-
-Yeah, just don't push your luck Clown.- before the head could start another argument with her Luffy started to walk away, following a bunch of people yelling at each other for only the seven seas know why.
A man with a little started to collect what the crew thought to be Berries from the crowd of people. Some rolled their eyes, cursing under their breath; some others cried, Y/N had a thought the money they gave away was their last.
-Do we have time to get some more?- asked a woman from the crowed.
-No. You don't.- the girl didn't have time to think who was speaking, and once the people in front of them opened a passage for Nami Y/N and Luffy were ready to greet their friend. Zoro stopped the both of them, it wasn't the right time to get involved.
A look at Zoro and Luffy got the memo, stopping his walk to the ginger woman. Y/N on her hand didn't care. She wanted to talk to Nami as soon as possible; she wanted to know why she left and she wanted to try and bring her back with her, with the crew.
-No, not now.- said Zoro, in a whisper for just her to hear.
-But...-
-No buts. We will talk to her later.- there was no way she could fight him on that, if the swordsman thought it wasn't time yet, it wasn't. The girl left a annoyed "fine" and walked some steps backwards.
-You got something for me?- her tone was harsh, Y/N couldn't believe her friends could be meaner from what she witnessed, but even when Nami used a cold tone with the crew, she knew it was becuase someone had to, but now? She was just mean, for no reason. She sounded like her bully back in the days. She was so caught in her world that didn't notice Nami saw them; she didn't hear her asking Luffy why he was there.
-And you? Why didn't you stopped him?-that was brought her back to reality but even then she couldn't understand what was happening. -I asked you a question.- the girl couldn't speak, but even if she could what was she supposed to say?
-Because I need you back.- that was supposed to be kept between the wall of her mind, but as usual the words left her mouth before she could register what she was saying.
-I don't need you. I don't need any of you.- Nami gave a quick look on everyone before she went back to speak. -Aarlong wanted the map, and I conned you into getting it for me. And you bought it. I was never part of your stupid crew.-
-You don't mean that.- Y/N started to think Luffy and her are connected somehow because whatever he spoke were the same words she was thinking. Maybe it was a coincidence, maybe the two of them had learned to read between the lines and managed to understand when something was off, not just with Nami. Maybe Nami was just to easy to read, an open book there for everyone to catch on what she really meant, just like now. She could tell, and so Luffy, she needed to be saved but if she couldn't ask for it is not like you could do anything about it.
-Take the rest of these clowns and sail away from there. I never want to see you again.- and with that the ginger woman left, and once again Y/N wished nothing but to go after her friend, and once again Zoro had to stop her, an unspoken "is not worth it" flew between the two.
-Okay, that went about as bad as it could. So back to the boat before the fishmen find us? Sail the hell out of here? Okay.-
-No.-
-She is right, there's something else going on here.- added Sanji.
-She was very clear she want us to leave.-
-You don't know her.-
-Because you do?-
-No, but unlike someone here I can read in between lines. She is just trying to not get us involved in whatever is happening here.- she really didn't want to start a fight but Zoro was giving her milion of reasons to, and the same with Sanji. It was like the swordsman just wanted to start arguing with everyone on his sight.
-Guys, guys. You don't get it? She's one of them. She is a bad guy. The villagers are terrified of her.- she rolled her eyes and if it wasn't for Luffy walking away, she was going to smack Usopp on the head, annoyed by his behaviour.
-Who was that lady? You know, the one with the cool hair?- the Scar guy, or how Luffy addressed him asked who wanted to know to witch the captain answered with his name followed by "I'm a pirate" to wich Zoro corrected, adding a little thing.
-We're here to collect Aarlong's bounty.- it made sense, she thanked the man for interfering into the conversation. The man in front of them was confused. He couldn't believe a bunch of little flies like them could take a piarte of the scale of Aarlong.
-We just want to talk to her.- Y/N could sense him smirking, she knew he was. She had learned it was one of his habit.
-Trust me, you don't. But if it'll get you out of my town, try the house down that road, on the edge of the tangerine grove. The girl thanked the man with a small courtsy, following behinde her friends in the direction he pointed at.
The five pirates were almost at their destination when Usopp started to complain about how tired he was.
-Keep walking princess, we are almost there.- she teased him. -And stop picking up tangerines.- she added noticing her friend stealing a couple of them from the trees.
-Is not like they would notice some are missing.- he protested back.
The group didn't even had the time to knock that the girl with blue hair they saw among the crowed gretted them pointing a gun at the pirates, asking them to leave immediatly. Usopp was fast, hiding behind Zoro's body while the other four didn't seem too fased about their current situation.
Luffy tried to reason with her, if talking about having things in common meant reasoning with someone having you at gun point. The woman expressed her thoughts on Nami, calling her a thief with no conscience, that once there was nothing left to take she just leaves, without turning back. That was not the Nami Y/N knew, but maybe Nami fooled her good, showing a part of her that was a lie. Maybe.
-My sister doesn't have any friends. The sooner you realize that, the better.-
-Sister. That makes sense. Both as beautiful as each other.-
-Give it up.-Zoro spoke, rolling his eyes, Y/N following suit. She liked Sanji company, she did but sometime his flirting was too much and off topic. They were there to find a way to get Nami back, not for him to flirt with everyone that looked in his direction. But Y/N had to give it to him, he knew how to get to people, with the promise of a good meal doing the trick he was able to let the blue haired girl shut down her walls and let them inside.
Nojiko, you had learned was her name, started to talk. She explained about the day Aarlong and his men arrived at Coco Village and destroyed everything. Nojiko talked about how Bellamere, their adoptive mother had asked the two of them to hide from the pirates. She told them about Bellamere's sacrifice and how her and Nami watched Aarlong killing their mother in front of them. She had told them how Nami started to work for the fishmen crew and that from that day on she never saw her sister again, untill she started collecting the money from the villagers.
The story broke Y/N's heart, she couldn't even fanthom how hard her friend's life was. Compared to hers, she had lived a good childhood, getting picked on from time to time.
-Wait. Nami's working for the pirate that killed your mother?-Nojiko nodded, it was short and almost invisible if you didn't look closely.
Luffy stood up, without saying a thing, he didn't had to. What was he supposed to say? He walked outside, Y/N and Zoro exchanged a quick glance and she nodded, hers too almost going unnoticed if you didn't look for it, a sign she understood it was not her place to talk to Luffy. Not now at least.
Everyone was trying to kill time as best as they could: Sanji and Nojiko were on dishes duty; Zoro and Luffy were still outside either talking or maybe in silence; Y/N was drafting part of what happened that day; Usopp was preparing his famous little bombs with Buggy's head annoying the poor guy.
It was after some minutes that Nojiko left that the silence was cut with bombs and screaming from the village, the crew left and on their way to see what was happening they meet Nami.
Y/N couldn't believe her eyes, her friend was on the ground, screaming in a fit of anger, stabbing her tattoo letting blood cover the symbol that had tormented her for her whole life. One thing, when Luffy stopped her attack on her flash, she asked for one thing: help.
Of course they were going to help, she was their friend, a part of a new family that was only meant to grow with every new adventure. She was family and there was no way they weren't going to help her.
Entering the village in the morning, the chaos that reigned was worse than what they encountered the day before. The houses seemed to have dissapeared, becoming black ash from being set on fire. Not a single soul was there, and if they were people they were hiding well.
The villagers, or what was left came out, all with a holding some kind of weapon. They wanted to fight, they wanted their home back, freed from the fishmen and they were fighting until death to pursue it.
Nami tried to reason with them, there was no way they could take Aarlong's army and get out of it to see another day, but the people of Coco Village didn't care. They wanted their home back and they were going to fight.
Luffy, Sanji, Zoro and Nami started to walk, headed to Aarlong's Park; Usopp wished he had stayed at home, Y/N was the only sane one that had to stop the crew, which turned out a little complicated since Luffy was very into getting started on some action.
-Guys, we can't get in there without a plan.-
-We have a plan. We get in and we fight everyone that gets in the way.-
-That is not a plan. That is the base for a suicide mission. Nami please help me out there.- the navigator didn't say a word, she was not in the right state of mind to think properly. Aarlong tricked her, and now she just wanted to get her revenge. Y/N scoffed. It was useless, no one was going to listen to her. -Usopp, before we get in throw some of yoru smoke bombs so we might have a higher chance to not end up dead.-
-yes captain.-
Entering enemie's territory Nami and Luffy left for the map room, where Aarlong supposedly was, while the rest of the crew enganged in a fight with the fishmen crew. Y/N with a smooth movement jumped on the walls the separated the park from the outside and from there she started throwing her daggers to whoever tried to get to her. She got distarcted for a split second, noticing Luffy cornered, and that caused her opponend to strick a kick at her.
She was up, back at her feet almost immediately, back flipping some miles away she threw at the fishman another couple of dagger at him. The two blades got him, one cutting his left forearm and the other his right leg; she sprinted closer to her enemy, keeping an eye around her to make sure no one was close enought to engange in a duel, when she was closer, the pirate kicked him on the other side of the Park and then moved to her next opponent.
The dynamic was the same for every fishmen she was fighting: throwing daggers from a distance and then knocking them down the wall; if they were downstair she would have knocked them out agaist every surface that was close to them and then moved to the next target.
-You look tired.- teased Sanji -Maybe you should take a break.-
-You ought to get back in the kitchen.-Zoro protested in response.
-I have a dagger with your names on it, next time I hear the two of you picking a fight is on sight.- there was no way those two were arguing with each other in such a delicate moment.
-My apologise ma'am.-
-mY aPoLoGiSe Ma'Am.-mocked Zoro.
-Quit screwing around. Luffy needs us.-
-You just got here. You don't know what Luffy needs.-
-if you don't shut up right this istant I am going to kill you next.-
-As if you could take all of them by yourself.- she wanted to kill the swordsman right here and there. How dare he assume she couldn't take an army by herself?
-Just because I don't look buffed like you doesn't mean I am weak. Now I'll be happy to not hear you two fight again or... Shit.- talking while fighting is not always a good idea, no, is never a good idea. The y/h/c haired girl got sent flying, the air got cut short from her lungs for a brief moment and if it wasn't for Zoro coming to her rescue she knew she was gone for good.
-You were saying?- he wasn't paying attention to her, once he slayed the pirate he went on fighting the next one.
-This is your fault. Now shut up and keep fighting.- she was back throwing daggers after daggers, her collection seemed unlimited for a rookie eye, but she was fast in getting back the one she had already used.
-Stop telling me what to do woman.-
-Ehy, that is no way to talk to a lady.- of course the cook had to give his one cent in the conversation.
-SHUT UP.- both Zoro and Y/N smiled as they spoke simultaneously.
As fast as the fight started, it ended and so the bickering between Sanji and Zoro. Y/N could only roll her eyes while she was retriving her weapons from the dead bodies laying around.
-Oh, it's so much better than I even remembered.- turning around the girl saw that the head was back on its rightfull place. Now, looking better the clown wasn't as scary as she thought he was going to be, he looked somehow... attractive? Weird considering he was once an enemy. -Hey, so, uhm... I'm gonna get out of here.- he said, flipping the finger on both hands and leaving. It didn't came as a surprise. She had it coming, of course someone like Buggy would have done such a think. Zoro tried to call him back but the clown didn't want to stay there any longer. -Sorry, kiddos. I'd love to make things right, but it's time to exit stage left.-
The trio really wanted to take a break, to relax at least five minutes but no. Another fishman was ready for a fight and in second he put k.o Sanji. Zoro was the first one to attack but his only good sword was not able to cut throught the tough skin of the fishman, then it was Y/N turn to attack but not even her daggers were of much help.
Kicks after kicks, puches after punches it seemed like there was no way they were going to win this one. It was like the universe was against them, after having helped the three of them for that long. Everything changed when the nameless guy badmounthed Nami about her poor choice of friends and Sanji got so rilled up he started giving weird names to his attacks.
-Mouton shot?- Zoro was genuinly confused, what kind of attack name was that?
-All great fighters call out their finishing moves.-
-That was cringe, let me tell you.-
-Yeah, you're gonna fit in just fine.- he remembered the first time he fought alongside Luffy and how he said the same exact thing as Sanji. Maybe there was a logic on how the captain was recruiting new members for the crew, maybe it was just a coincidence.
Usopp started to run back in, yelling and being his extra self, proclaiming to not fear because "Captain Usopp was there to save the day" when he noticed there was no need tp fight anymore.
-Oh. You guys did pretty good in here.- that made the daggers thrower laugh, which wasn't a good thing since her ribs hurted like crazy.
-You okay?-Asked Zoro some what concerned.
-I think I broke some ribs, nothing too serious.- she was about to ask him how he was doing when Sanji calling Nami's name got your attention. The blonde cook opened his arms, ready to welcome the girl in there but she ran past him and threw herslef at the three pirates behind him. The collision made the swordsman and Y/N hiss in pain but Nami didn't notice, too happy to see her friends still alive. Zoro asked where Luffy was and when hearing he was still inside the map room Usopp hoped for his captain to get outside of there in one piece.
-Hey Nami, how are you doing?- Y/N asked sitting next to the navigator, the ginger haired woman smiled assuring her friend she was doing fine. -I know what happened is fresh but..- the y/h/c haired pirate handed her a small leather notebook. -I was wandering if you could write about, you know...- she had to clear her throat, she didn't want to sound indelicate but it was for her project. She wanted to write about everything, the good and the bad of her and her friends' adventures. -nevermind is stupid. Just...-
-I would love to help you, just give me some time.- said Nami snatching the notebook from her friend's hands. Opening the book she smiled, Y/N remembered what she had wrote on the first page "Nami's diary: a great thief, navigator and liar but also the greatest friend on the sea" and blushed. She was embarassed, thinking that maybe it wasn't the right way to address her friend. -I love it.-
-You want something to eat? I am starving.-
-I am not that hungry yet, maybe later.-
-Okay, I'll tell Sanji to save you a portion.- she turned back. -I'll wait as long as you need so don't worry.-
Taking her portion of food Y/N took a seat further than the people surronding Usopp, she wasn't in the mood to stay around people not when her mind was starting to play tricks on her once again. Since the battle against Aarlong came to an end she couldn't stop thinking that no matter how strong she was, or she was going to turn out her dream wasn't strong enought to ensure her a spot on Luffy's crew.
-Was he always like that?-
-what?-
-Usopp. Was he always that good of a liar?- staring at her long time friend she laughed.
-He just like the spotlight and is a good story teller. He wants to lift up people's spirit when in need, he did it with Kaya back home and now with the villagers. He knows how to touch people's hearts.-
-You are a pretty good story teller too.-
-I have to disagree, I don't know where to start nor how to end. I talk to much I am abresive.- she started to play with her food. -Have you ever... Never mind, it doesn't matter.- Zoro started to push her into talking and she was trying her best to keep her mouth shut but eventually she gave up. -I just can't stop thinking I have a stupid dream, I mean you want to beat the strongest swordsman of all seas; Sanji wants to find the All Blue which is considered a myth; Nami wants to draw a map of the whole world; Usopp wants to be a brave soldier of the sea and I... I want to be a writer.-
-Why?-
-What?-
-Why do you want to become a writer?-
-I made a promise to my friend. She told me I had a way with words and she made me promise her that no matter what I had to keep writing. This is why.-
-I had a friend when I was a kid. Shw was older than me and the daughter of the sensei of the dojo I trained. She wa...-Y/N interrupted him, feeling that he was telling her that story to make her feel better. She told him that if that was the case he didn't have to keep with the story. -Woman, I don't do things out of pity, now let me talk. I was saying. She was stronger than me and stronger than all the boys in the dojo. We made a promise, every day we will fight each other growing stronger and stronger and then one day, when we were older one of us was going to be the strongest swordsman in the world. She died that same night. Wado was her sword, I asked her father if I could keep it and since that day I lived to fulfill that promise. I think every dream is based on a promise, no matter if it was made to a family member, a friend or even at yourself, so stop overthinking. Now.- He stood up streaching out a hand in your direction. -where is my notebook?-
-oh, about that... I have to buy three mores. I left Syrup Village with two and Usopp has the other one.-
-Showing favouritism, I see. Just make sure to give it to me first and not to Shitty cook over there.- he said pointing behind his back, that made her laugh. -Now care to enjoy the festivities?- Y/N took Zoro's hand in hers, helping herself up and followed the pirate back to the crowed of people listening to Usopp. Maybe she was gooing to fight her dark thoughts a little longer, but now she had a weapon to keep them at bay.

Ellie Williams
tw! mention of sh
-> Ellie Willams comforting reader about self harm.
-> modern AU.
a/n: this is rather long and im sorry guys if it was bad and if it has any grammer mistakes!! i tried my best fr :')
It was winter, your favorite time of the year. Maybe because of the cold air that would hit your face when you step outside or maybe the fact that you could wear long sleeves without anyone saying "how are you not hot?!" or "arent you sweaty and hot under that hoodie?"
It was the weekend. You were in your dorm you shared with one of your very good friends, Ellie. She didnt know about your problems, mostly because you thought she doesnt care about them. She was just your best friend and also smoke buddy.
Oh but boy were you wrong.
Ellie was out, buying some stuff for dinner. It was already dark outside. While she was out, your feelings got the best of you and all of your stress and anger bolied up till it exploded.
Few little tears slid down your face as you open your box that was mostly empty besides some random stuff you had and your blade.
The drom room was pretty heated up so it would sometimes get too warm. Thats why you were in a short sleeve shirt while Ellie was out.
Bringing the blade to your wrist, you went across it rather harshly. One, two then three times you did that when you heard the door open. "baack! got some chips for the movie"
You heard Ellie say, but you were unable to form words at the moment. Quickly rushing, you put your blade in the hidding spot and throw on a zip up hoodie as you step outside your bedroom to greet her.
Your eyes were stained with tears and you put up a weak smile for her when she faced you. Of course Ellie noticed that. She alwalys does. And she saw those healed up scars, of course she has. But she never pointed them out because she didnt want to make you feel uncomfortable.
"Hey.. you good?" she asked you in such a sweet tone as her eyes frown a little. Shooting you a rather sad smile with concerne over her face. Taking some time to process what she just said you nodded with your head "yea. 'm good."
As she heard your words she knew something wasnt right. You werent really yourself for the past few days to be fair and she had every right to be worried.
Placing the bags on the counter she walked towards you. A soft smile spread across her face as she put her hand on your shoulder.
You looked at your shoulder where her hand rested and then back at her. "you know, you can tell me anythin' babe." those words echoed through your ears as she said them. And something inside of you snapped. You felt safe with her, you always did and she made sure you knew that.
A tear dropped from your eye, then another and another. And finally you were full on sobbing as she brought you close to her hugging you tightly while you cried into her chest.
Ellie didnt mind that, she didnt care if you stained her shirt with your tears. All she wanted was for you to feel better. After you let it all out and calmed down a little she pulled away her hands gently rubbing on your upper arms as she looked at you.
"come on"
she said in a low and soft vocie as she gestured to the couch.
For a moment you two sat i comfortable silence while she examined your face for sime kind of a answear and patiently waiting for you to speak up. But all you did was stare at the ground while tugging onto your sleeves. The stinging of your fresh cuts made you uncomfortable, it burned.
Your eyebrows frown together as the burning sensation got worse. Ellie noticed your face and she grabbed your hand to hold it gently. Her hands were rough but they felt nice.
"whatchu making that face for.."
She said a little worried. She noticed you tugging at your sleeves a lot and so she let out a deep sigh out that felt like it was trapped in her forever.
"bae..are you hurtin' yourself ?"
she always used pet names even if you were just friends. but she finally decided to ask you. of course she knew the answear to her own question but all she wanted was to mske sure she was right, she didnt want to make assumptions.
And when she asked you that, it felt as if the whole world stopped for a bare moment. you squeeze her hand as you nod your head, scared to even say anything or look at her.
Ellie lets go of your hand and squeezes your cheeks as she makes you look at her. "its okay that you do.." she pauses for a moment "well..its not but you know what i mean."
Ellie lets out a little chuckle making you yourself laugh a little as she caressed your cheek gently.
"i just want to help you, alright? please let me help you."
after you heard her words she looked down at your wrist as if waiting for something. you finally understood and lifted your sleeves reaviling your scars, some healed some not.
Ellie quickly runs to the bathroom as she took a wet paper towle and some bandages. She cleaned the cuts gently as you wince in pain slightly. After she cleaned your cuts, Ellie wrapped the bandages around your wrist not too tightly but not to loose.
"thank you Els..i-"
she cut you off as she hugged you tightly. you gave into the hug. it felt safe and warm. You felt safe and warm with her. After pulling away she looked at you with a smile on her face.
"how 'bout we watch a movie, yea?"
of course you agreed and for the rest of the night you were cuddled up close to her while she traced gentle touches across your bandaged wrist.

UNBREAKABLE GLASS, BREAKABLE HEART ... drabble
YOU ARE MY UNIVERSE | CALMING DAYS | SWEET HOME
pairing : san x f!reader (background poly ateez)
genre : non-idol au, hurt / comfort, established relationship
warnings : langauge, being forgotten, some crying
suffer with me tag : @sanjoongie
in the rush of the moment, the boys forget something important on their way to their vacation.
Tumblr media
you woke up with an odd feeling in your stomach. why this was happening, you weren't sure. but you opted to push to the side as you got out of bed and made your way to the kitchen.
and then it hit you that the apartment you shared with eight other people – your boyfriends – was silent. there wasn't another soul in sight nor could you hear anyone but your own breathing.
where were they?
then you had a second realization that today you all were suppose to travel to the beach for a small vacation. san had been begging for you all to take a trip together. telling hongjoong and seonghwa that it had been years since they last went on one.
"we need to go on one now that y/n has officially moved in," that was what finally made hongjoong and seonghwa agree. the two eldest thinking it would be a good idea to go on vacation with you.
yet here you were sitting on the couch by yourself, alone. you didn't want to admit it, but was obvious they had forgotten you. you tried to bite back the tears that threatened to spill. it just an accident, you think to yourself, they didn't mean to forget you.
you reach for your phone, wanting to check to see if they messaged you, but only the black screen of your phone stared at you. dead. that explains why your alarm didn't go off this morning.
"oh? who had gummy bears?" seonghwa asks as he brings out the pack of gummy bears that was in their travel snack bag. seonghwa turned to look at his lovers who all looked at him in equal confusion. that is until wooyoung spoke up from the back.
"oh! those of y/nnie's! she loves those gummy bears!"
"isn't y/n in the other car though?" yunho asks from the driver's seat, looking at his lover through the rearview mirror.
"then why is her snack with us and not with the others?" seonghwa asks, seemingly getting more confused by the second.
that's when realization hit san like a truck, a loud gasp leaving his lips causing the other males in the car to look at him.
"we left y/n at home!"
"WHAT!?" yunho is quick to pull off on to the side of the road. him and seonghwa quickly turn to look at both males in the back. only seconds later does the car hongjoong was driving also pull over.
"what's wrong?" hongjoong asks, confused on why yunho pulled over.
"we have to go home!" san begins, "we forgot y/n!" he says, feeling tears start to brim his eyes at realizing how hurt you must be feeling right now.
"what? but wasn't wooyoung suppose to make sure that everyone was up and ready? she was your buddy wooyoung," jongho says causing everyone to look at the male could looked surprised by the information. in other words... he forgot.
"damnit, wooyoung!" hongjoong says, anger seething through him as he glares at his younger boyfriend.
"i'm sorry! i guess i just got distracted by everything else. and besides, you were the one rushing everyone out the door! you should have noticed she was missing too!" wooyoung says back.
"listen," yeosang begins, "we don't have time to be arguing like this. we all obviously can't go back, so why don't half of us keep going to the beach house, while the other half goes back."
"we'll go back," san says, and no one objects.
"try calling her and let her know you are on your way, okay?" hongjoong says and seonghwa nods before they are all getting back in their respective cars.
"i can't believe you forgot your buddy," san says to wooyoung as they are on their way back to the apartment.
"shut up! i already feel bad enough as it is," wooyoung says, another wave of guilt rushing over him.
"stop blaming wooyoung," seonghwa says, phone pressed to his ear as he's trying to call you. "we are all to blame for th– ah! baby, are you okay?" seonghwa cuts himself off when he hears you pick up.
"i'm fine," you say, but seonghwa can tell by your tone that you've been crying. the thought makes his heart break.
"listen, baby, we are on our way back to get you okay? we'll be there in about half an hour," he tells you.
"okay," you sound dejected and it makes his stomach twist. this was suppose to be a fun and memorable vacation. one where he would have taken pictures for the scrapbook you got him. it wasn't suppose to have such a heart-breaking start.
"let me talk to her," san says, leaning over and holding his hand out. seonghwa hands him his phone.
"hey pretty," san says greeting you, "are you okay?"
"y-yeah, i'm fine," he hears you take a deep breath, "happy birthday, sannie."
"thank you, baby. remember you told me last night," he says, not being able to fight the smile that appears on his face.
"i know... i just wanted to tell you again," you say, voice falling quieter near the end. "you guys don't have to come back," you say after a moment, "you shouldn't be wasting time coming back to get me. i'm fine by myself."
"yeah, well, we aren't fine knowing you're by yourself. this vacation is for all of us. you included, got it?"
"got it," you say softly.
"i'll see you when we get back," san says and he hears you hum out a small bye before hanging up. san hands the phone back to seonghwa before he's turning to wooyoung. "you better get on the ground and beg for forgiveness when we pick her up."
san is the first one to enter the apartment when they get back. the other three trailing behind him as they step inside. and san doesn't waste any time calling out for you.
the four of them hear your feet padding across the floor and you emerge around the corner. san can't help the blush that covers his face when he takes in how cutely you're dressed. however, before he could say anything, wooyoung is shoving him aside in order to run up to you. the younger male dropping to his knees, arms wrapping around your legs as begins to semi-fake cry.
"y/nnie, i'm so sorry. i didn't mean to forget my seat buddy. i love you so much, you know that right?" wooyoung says making you smile at him. you nod your head, running a hand through his hair to comfort him. "but in all fairness, its hongjoong's fault one-hundred percent."
"wooyoung!" seonghwa's voice is stern as he stops wooyoung from trying to pass the blame. you then see him look up at you with soft eyes, "we are all to blame, really. i'm sorry, baby."
"i'm sorry too, i know the others all feel just as bad," yunho says making you give them a sad smile in return.
"can i just... can i just have a hug, please?" all four males don't waste anytime in giving you a group hug. after that, san gives you an extra one while yunho takes your bag and the other three begin to head down to the car.
"i'm sorry we left you, y/n. i don't think i'll ever be able to forgive myself," he tells you, hiding his face in your neck.
"but you came back for me, didn't you?" you say, making san lift his head to look at you.
"yeah, we did," he says before kissing you. when he pulled away, san gave you a smile before linking hands with you and walking down to the car where you join the others.

luke and quinn’s relationship with media management reader and a blurb about when jack introduced them to each other pls
y/n is really close with luke and quinn! luke met her first when he attended the Devils vs Ducks game in december of 2019, and they hit it off really quickly! since she and Jack had quickly become best friends, he was adamant on introducing her to Luke, but he didn’t think they would get so close!
**
“y/n!” my head snapped up from the tweet i was drafting on the devils account, finding jack with a wide grin on his face. he was speed walking into my open office door, still dressed in his practice gear, with what appeared to be a teenage boy shyly trailing behind him.
“jacky. to what do i owe the pleasure?” i ask, quickly shutting the phone off and slipping it in my pocket.
“i wanted to introduce you to someone.” the smile has yet to leave his lips as he pulls the boy to stand next to him. “y/n/n, this is my brother, luke! luke, this is my new best friend, y/n.”
a shy, albeit awkward, smile adorns luke’s face as he holds his hand out for me to shake. i laugh, bypassing his hand to pull him into a hug instead.
“she’s a hugger, i should’ve warned ya.” jack chuckles as i pull away.
“it’s so nice to meet you!” i exclaim, cupping luke’s face with my hands and squishing his cheeks.
“oh, she does that too.” jack says. luke chuckles, raising his own hands to squish my cheeks in return.
“nice to meet you too.” luke replies through squished cheeks, his words coming out slightly mumbled. i smile wide as we both let our hands drop.
“oh i like you! i’m gonna keep you.” i tell him, making the boys laugh once more.
“he’s here for the game tonight! sitting behind the bench! he’s next to your usual seat.” jack informs me.
“oooh! seat buddies! i’ll point out all the times jack sticks his tongue out in concentration as he hops over onto the ice. and you can help me keep track of everyone’s penalty minutes! oh! and i’ll let you take tonight’s post photos! this is gonna be so much fun!”
luke’s eyes widen as i ramble, sharing a look with his brother. jack just nods his head solemnly, silently letting him know that i am indeed always this way.
“sounds great!” luke smiles, slinging an arm around my shoulders as i start walking out of the office, still rambling. jack stands back, watching us with furrowed brows as we talk.
**
y/n technically met quinn over facetime during the pandemic. but he provided her with advice, which made her immediately think of him as a big brother figure.
**
“hey, jack. you down for some street hockey?” a voice off-screen has me cutting off my rant, willing my tears to stop.
“hey, quinner. i’ll, uh- i’m in the middle of something, do you mind giving me a few minutes?” jack says, and i recognize the nickname for his brother, putting 2 and 2 together.
“oh, no, jacky, go hang out with your brothers!” i tell him, my voice raspy from my crying. “you don’t need to sit here and listen to me cry over something so stupid.”
“is that y/n?” the voice off-screen asks, making me scrunch my eyebrows in confusion. i sniffle, wiping at my runny nose with the sleeve of my hoodie.
“yeah. hey, maybe you can talk some sense into her. c’mere.” jack replies. my eyes widen as quinn plops down on jacks bed next to him, his face coming into the camera view.
“hi. i’m quinn.” his introduction is short and precise, but i appreciate it. “you okay?”
“hi quinn, i’m y/n. although it sounds like you already knew that.” i say, wiping at my wet cheeks. “i’m okay.”
“no, she’s not.” jack chimes in. i roll my eyes at his directness. “tell him whats wrong, y/n/n.”
“yeah, what’s going on?” quinn’s voice is oddly soothing. i can tell he’s keeping it soft in order to be comforting.
“it’s just my stupid boyfriend.” i roll my eyes at myself as fresh tears start to flow.
“what did he do?” quinn asks, his eyes soften as i let out a silent sob. jack seems to understand that i’m unable to speak through my sobs, so he takes over for me.
“she’s been dating this guy for a couple months and she just found out that he has another girlfriend.” jack explains.
“shit, he was cheating on you with this other girl?” quinn’s question makes me cry even harder and jack sighs.
“no.” i manage to say through my cries.
“i’m slightly confused then.” quinn admits.
“he’s been with this other girl for over a year. y/n was the other girl.” jack whispers, obviously hoping i wouldn’t hear but i still did.
“oh.”
“she doesn’t even care that much about the fact that he cheated, she didn’t really like him very much anyways-”
“jack!” i cut him off, but jack ignores me.
“she’s more upset that she was unknowingly the catalyst in someone’s relationship. she doesn’t like the idea of the other girl hating her.”
“i see.” quinn nods. “and you had no idea he had a girlfriend?”
“no idea. he didn’t act like he did! and despite what jack said, he did seem like a good guy! my heart just wasn’t in the relationship. which might make me seem like a bitch for staying with him but i swear i was already planning on breaking up with him!”
“hey.” quinn coos, effectively calming down my anxious rambles. “i don’t think you’re a bitch for staying with him. and as for the other stuff. you didn’t know, y/n. you can’t hold his mistakes against yourself. he’s the one who cheated, not only on his long-term girlfriend, but on you as well. did you contact her and tell her after you found out?”
“yeah.” i sniffle again. “i dm’d her on instagram. she thanked me for letting her know and told me she didn’t hold it against me since i didn’t know. but i know how girls are. we hold grudges, even if we don’t show it.”
“you can’t let yourself overthink, y/n. she said she doesn’t hold it against you. she even thanked you for telling her. i promise, she has no reason to hate you. you are not the one who fucked up. he is.”
it’s all the same stuff jack told me, but it hit different coming from someone with an outside perspective.
“can you adopt me?” were the first words that left my mouth after a few deep breaths. my heart rate was finally seemingly normal and i could feel my anxiety melting away after quinn’s speech.
quinn just laughs, along with his brother.
“i don’t think our age gap is quite steep enough for that. but i’ll have jack text you my number, and if you ever need someone to talk to, you can come to me.”

This is what my blog has become, just brozone and trolls. Have a fanfic. this is part one of Please for God's sake, rest
Normality had fallen over the band of brozone. Hanging out and catching up. Ever since coming back to Pop Village, Clay, Floyd and John Dory were all staying in Rhonda until they finished moving all of Branchs survival supplies and such out of the rooms that he had made for them. That's what they were currently doing, moving the boxes of stuff. John Dory went to lift a box of stone spear heads, he got part way up when his back gave out. John let out a yell and fell to his knees, dropping the box. The other bros came rushing in to see what was wrong. They saw John Dory knelt down on the floor, shaking slightly. "John, you ok buddy?" Bruce asked, slowly reaching his hand towards his brother to check on him. "Please don't touch me right now." John said quietly while gritting his teeth. They could hear the pain in John's voice. Bruce sat next to John Dory, placing his hand next to JD's in case he wanted the comfort. "JD, what happened? Are you ok?" Clay asked as he sat down near John as well. Branch and Floyd looked on, concerned and wanting to help. "I finally blew out my back." John mumbled grumpily. At first none of them caught what he had said, so they asked him to repeat it. "I blew out my back, ok?!" John said, frustrated. "Oh John." Bruce said softly, gently placing his hand on JD's back. John let out a little yelp, his hair flaring out like he had been electrocuted, Bruce removed his hand immediately. "John Dory, I understand that you don't wanna be touched right now but it can't be good for your back to stay in the position you're in. Let us help you get to bed or at least the couch." Floyd suggested, gently taking John's hand, ready to help him when he needed it. "Nah, I'm good. I should be fine in a little while." John Dory responded, shifting so he was fully laying on his stomach. "I'll go get Dr. Moonbloom." Branch said, exasperated as he walked out the door and to the elevator. Branch took the elevator to the surface in search of the doctor.
Branch returned with Dr. Moonbloom, explaining the situation the best he could. Dr. Moonbloom examined John, giving him a routine check up before getting to the root of his problem. The doctor pulled out a portable x-ray machine (cartoon logic) and further examined John Dory's back. "Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is I finally get to try out my new sedative. The bad news is he's going to have to be on bed rest for at least a month, maybe more. He pulled the muscles in his lower back pretty badly." Dr. Moonbloom said, excited to use the new sedative. "But wouldn't moving his cause him more pain and hurt his back even more." Clay asked as the doctor readied her syringe with the sedative. "That's what the sedative is for. It's going to take away all his pain for a few hours and make him feel pretty good. As for moving him, I brought my portable gurney. That way moving him won't hurt his back even more." The doctor said, pulling a portable cloth gurney out of her bag (again cartoon logic). Dr. Moonbloom stuck John with the needle, injecting him with the sedative. After a few minutes, she instructed them to move him on to the gurney. A little apprehensive at first, Clay and Bruce started to move John Dory. They moved John Dory to the nearest bed, by that point he had started to doze off. Dr. Moonbloom handed Branch a prescription for pain killers and instructions on how often he can take them and side effects and such before heading off. The brothers looked at John Dory, he was barely awake and singing some intelligible tune. "Are we sure he's gonna be ok?" Floyd asked, just as worried as the rest of them. "I'm sure he'll be fine. Dr. Moonbloom is a very good doctor. But I think her sedative might be a little strong." Branch said as he set the pain killers on the nightstand.
The brothers decided to take turns watching over John Dory, making sure he doesn't need anything when the sedative wears off. Bruce goes first watching John, looking at him in a similar way to when they were little. The way he'd look at JD before bouncing on him to wake him up on Christmas morning or on one of their birthdays. Bruce got up from the chair he sat in next to the bed and reached over to remove John's goggles. They slipped off with ease. As Bruce removed John Dory's jacket, he was reminded of when they were younger and John would help Clay and Floyd take off their jackets after playing in the snow or rain. John Dory would always take theirs off first then his own, Bruce was simply returning the favor all these years later. He unbuckled John's fingerless glove and tucked it into one of the pockets on his jacket, taking note of the tan lines on his hand. His brother almost looked naked without all that on him, Bruce couldn't remember ever seeing John Dory without those silly goggles. Bruce chuckled to himself as he made himself comfortable in the chair and pulled a book out of his hair. The book was an old trollings book that he managed to find, he had read to his kids last night, remembering when their grandma had read it to them when they were little ones. "Guess I forgot to put it back in the kids' bookcase." Bruce said quietly to himself before deciding to read the story aloud to his sleeping brother.

Jan 6, 2024
Clementine looked up hearing a knock on her apartment and walked over opening the door seeing her brother, “Con? What are you doing here?” She looked at her brother seeing his anxious ticks and the frown on his face and the way his eyes are glistening with tears.
Connor lunged forward wrapping his arms around his big sister and couldn’t stop himself from crying against her chest.
Clementine frowned and quickly wrapped her arms around her brother gently rubbing his back as she walked them into her apartment shutting the door.
“Oh buddy what’s wrong.” Clementine softly cooed holding her brother protectively.
“Do you think i can be traded?” Connor choked out the question he’s been dying to ask for the last few months.
“What’s wrong i thought you liked Chicago?” Clementine gently pulled back and brought him to her couch so she could look at him they talked.
“I do, my teammates has been very nice and the city isn’t bad but everyone is expecting me to be this miracle for Chicago and i just want to play hockey, everyone keeps looking at my like i’m the answer. I just want to be treated like a regular rookie and play hockey, and i hate living with no family nearby.” Connor rambled out anxiously to his big sister.
Clementine frowned hearing that Connor hasn’t been the happiest in Chicago and she thought he was settling in nicely.
Connor has always been the most anxious out of the siblings and genuinely didn’t do well being away from family.
Clementine softly cupped his face, “Why didn’t you say anything.” Clementine couldn’t help but frown knowing her brother was suffering and she didn’t know.
“I thought it would get better.” Connor softly admitted playing with his fingers.
“Ok here’s what we’re gonna do, We’re gonna play against each other tonight for the first time and have a lot fun okay.” Clementine softly instructed making Connor nod, “Then your gonna keep playing the next month and then we have our all star break and if after the break you still want a trade, i will get you traded to a team as close as possible to me or home okay.” Clementine softly brushed his hair off his forehead gently kissing his forehead.
“Okay.” Connor took a deep breath feeling better in the comfort of his sister, he rested his head on her shoulder and before he knew he was fast asleep.
Clementine didn’t move the whole time he slept, feeling terrible her brother had been going through this and she wasn’t there to help him and she didn’t notice.
“I promise i won’t let this happen again.” Clementine muttered to a sleeping Connor, she’s going to make sure her little brother enjoys his career and is happy and she’s not gonna stop until he is.

Please leave a comment and tell me what you think!!!
***********
Your heart nearly stopped when you picked up the phone. Will sobbed into the receiver, croaking unintelligibly. You gripped the storefront counter, panic frying every last one of your nerve endings, just as the phone had fried in your mother's hands two years ago as she listened to those same cries.
"Will? Will, what's wrong? Are you hurt? Wha-"
"Eddie...E-Eddie is..."
You hadn't realized it was possible to be hit simultaneously with relief and more panic. "Eddie's hurt? Are you at home? What happened?" You snatched the keys from the desk, stretching the phone chord around the wall as you scrambled to clock out.
"D-Dad was here."  Will choked through deep breaths as you fumbled with your punch card, shooting your coworker an urgent look. "Dad was here and I'm scared-"
"It's ok. Hey, no no no. It's ok buddy. I'll be there in five minutes, alright? Give me five minutes."
You threw your coat on frantically as you ran out to your car, the only indication your boss had received being the ring of the bell when the door opened.
***********
"Who the hell are you?" The man spat, his brow furrowing at the sight of Eddie.
Ah. Lonnie Byers.
Eddie had never met the man in his life, but he had enough experience with abusive fathers to know that this guy was definitely yours.
"I'm Eddie." He kept his voice still and confident, trying to look unbothered. He propped his arms across the back of the couch confidently. "Who the hell are you?"
Lonnie scoffed, "What are you doing in my house, kid? You want me to call the cops?"
"I don't think that'd end up well for you, man. But, be my guest." He shrugged non-chalantly, crossing his legs on the coffee table.
Lonnie opened his mouth to shout, forehead creased with anger, but paused. "Wait a second...I know exactly who you are."
Eddie's brows crooked as he stared down the older man.
The man's jaw flexed, "You're Manson's kid. You run that cult over at the school."
The corner of Eddie's mouth tugged mischievously, "It's Munson, actually."
Lonnie grabbed the game book that'd been left open on the table, glancing at the artwork before flinging it across the room carelessly. His muddy boot planted itself on the table in its place.
"You killed that little Cunningham girl didn't you?"
Eddie's expression went slack, anger boiling in his stomach. He swallowed thickly, ignoring the jab.
"What the hell are you doing here, you freak? You gonna pluck my daughter's eyes out? Break her bones?"
The room went silent as Eddie's face slowly split into a knowing grin. "No." He looked him directly in the eyes. "But I do have a date with her in an hour."
Lonnie lunged forward, grabbing him by the collar and yanking him up off of the couch. "You're not gonna lay a fucking hand on my daughter."
Eddie choked through a laugh.  "Oh, trust me. Your daughter is very well acquainted with my hands."
Before he even knew what happened, Lonnie's fist gave a sickening crack against Eddie's temple. Stars danced in his eyes as he was flung down onto the rough carpet, the wind knocking from his lungs. Eddie wheezed through a weak laugh, groaning. God, he hoped Will would stay quiet in his room. Based on the blow he'd just taken, Lonnie would have no problem busting down a door.
"You think that's fucking funny, freak?" Lonnie yelled, towering over Eddie's crumpled form.
Eddie struggled to breathe, "A little."
He turned just in time for the toe of Lonnie's boot to ram into his ribs instead of his stomach. The second blow was worse. Eddie could taste copper in his mouth as he tried to remember how to breathe.
He much preferred Jason Carver
***********
Your hands trembled as you drove, tears clouding your vision.
This was your worst nightmare. It was why Will was never left home alone, even though he was well old enough to be. Your dad had always had a temper and a violent streak. When you were young, it hadn't been uncommon to hear the sharp sound of a slap cut through the air during his arguments with your mom. Ever since the divorce, Will had become the target of his anger. He was always calling to shout at your mom, accusing her of "raising that boy to be a fag". That, and bitterly claiming that "That boy needs a father around, Joyce. He needs someone to beat some sense into him."
Your driving was getting hazardous by the time you reached the house. You flew through the front door, heart sinking at the sight of your boyfriend sitting propped against the hall's wood paneling. Will sat beside him, looking visibly shaken.
"Eddie..." You breathed his name, hands trembling as you dropped to your knees beside him. You held his face gently in your hands, assessing the damage.
He smiled at you through a wince, "Hi, sweetheart."
"Christ, What have you done?"
He smirked, nodding towards your brother.  "Well, I had to stand up for Will the Wise, didn't I? It's party rules."
You cursed under your breath as you pushed his bangs back from his hurt forehead. A dark bruise painted his temple and cheekbones, a smeary trail of blood dripping from his nose all the way down to the collar of his shirt. It'd be a miracle if his nose wasn't broken. His pretty lower lip had a bad nick in it, and anxiety churned in your stomach when you noticed how stiff his movements were.
"Jesus, Eds. Stay here, ok?" You darted around the house quickly, locking every door and window you could find, before grabbing a clean washcloth from the kitchen. You took your brother's hand sweetly when you returned, "I need you to do me a favor alright? Do you think you can call Hopper? Tell him what happened?"
Eddie groaned at the idea of involving the cops, but Will nodded solemnly. You ignored your boyfriend's complaint, propping your shoulder beneath his arm.
"Let's get you to my room, Bruiser."
He chuckled, eyes scrunching pain as you helped lift him up onto his feet. "Princess, I know I look awfully pretty right now, but it might not be the best time for you to have your way with me."
You rolled your eyes at his smirk, wondering how he was still able to be a cocky bastard with an actively bloody nose.
You were gentle as you helped him sit on your bed, heart aching sympathetically at his soft curses. "Hey...shhh 's ok. Tell me what hurts."
He slowly fought to catch his breath, scrunching his eyes. "It'd be easier to list what doesn't hurt, actually."
You noticed him tense with every rise and fall of his chest. "He got your ribs, didn't he?"
Eddie chuckled weakly, "Yeah. A couple of kicks to the stomach."
You bit your lower lip, shaking your head at the mental image. You fought it hard, but your eyes glossed, lip quivering.
"Hey...It's alright." Eddie stroked your hair,  biting back the pain as he brushed the beginnings of a tear from your lower lashes. "Everything's alright, sweetheart. Will's ok, huh? That's all that matters."
You sniffled, "What about you?"
"Me?" He chuckled, wiping some blood from his nose with the back of his hand. "I'm right as rain, babe. You should see the other guy."
A tear finally welled over as you gave him a sad, grateful smile, but you quickly brushed it away when Will peeked his head into your room.
He looked nervous still, guilt swimming in his eyes. "Hopper said he'd be on the look out for dad's car." Your brother fiddled with the latch on the little red first aid kit he'd retrieved from under the bathroom sink, his eyes unable to meet Eddie's. "He's going to come by later to file a report, but he said to make sure the doors are locked."
You took the kit from his hands, laying it on the bed beside you. You scrambled for words, unable to think of a way to ease his mind when your own was racing. Eddie supplemented.
"What's wrong, dude?" He patted an empty spot on the bed, inviting Will to sit.
Will was quiet for a moment, his voice soft when he finally spoke. "You got hurt and it's my fault."
You took your brother's hand, soothingly. Eddie shook his head. "No, man. I got hurt because your dad's an asshole. That's not your fault."
Will focused on the comforter, toying with the fabric. "I could've...I don't know. I should've helped."
Eddie nudged him gently with his sneaker. "Oh come on, Byers. You've faced some pretty gnarly shit all on your own. It's ok to let me help out every once in a while."
"But I just sat there!" He argued, pitifully. "I just sat in my room while he-..."
Will trailed off, tears welling. Eddie sat up, biting back the pain as he crooned to meet his eyes.
"Hey..." He mussed his hair, lovingly. "I know it sucks, man. But can I tell you something?"
Will nodded.
"When I was a kid,  my dad used to show up out of nowhere too...pull all the same shit. My mom always told me to go to my room and lock the door and all that, right? Just like I told you to do earlier."
Will nodded, listening dutifully as he blinked back tears.
Eddie shook his head, "I fucking hated it. They would fight and I would just be stuck in there listening to it."
Eddie's eyes glazed with memories. You could tell they hurt.  Your stomach churned.
"So when I got older and dad was locked up, I asked mom about it, you know? 'Why did you make me stay in my room? I could've helped. He was hurting you, mom.'"
Your eyes stung.
"But you know what she said? She said 'Your dad did hurt me, Eddie. But it would've been so much more painful for me to see him hurt you."
Will stared off, pensively.  You took his hand, squeezing it gently.
Eddie nodded, "I'd so much rather get my ass kicked than to see you get hurt. I mean that. You did what I told you to. You stayed safe and that's what's fuckin' important."
Your brother's shoulders relaxed a bit, "I suppose so."
A smile tugged at Eddie's lips. "I know so. And what I say goes because I'm the Dungeon Master. So there."
Will laughed, and the sound was like pure sunshine. You took Eddie's hand, squeezing it appreciatively. He squeezed yours back.
Eddie's dimples were pretty as he smiled. "You know what would make me feel better?"
Will narrowed his eyes, "What's that?"
"New character sheets for Hellfire....drawn by the most skillful renderer in all of Hawkins, The William Byers..."
Your brother blushed, hiding his smile, "Come off it, Eds."
"I mean it!" He laughed heartily as he clutched his ribs.
Will stood from the bed, crossing his arms, "I'll think about it."
Eddie laid back against the headboard, "Well you better think quick, because your sister's about to take my shirt off so she can doctor me up, and things are liable to get pretty steamy. She's a total animal when she sees me-"
"Eddie!" Your cheeks went pink, but Eddie only giggled at your indignation.
Will threw his hands up in surrender, immediately hightailing it out of your room. "Fine! Ok! I'll go!"
 ***********
Eddie gave a borderline pornographic moan when you carefully laid a hot water bottle over his side. You cooed to him softly, pushing his hair back from his forehead. "Theerree it is. Too hot?"
He shook his head dumbly, enjoying your hands in his hair. "Feels good."
You smiled as you knelt beside him. He was all clean now, and while he definitely had some bumps and cuts, he looked much better. You pecked his forehead and his nose gently before finally granting him a soft kiss on the lips.
He hummed, smiling lazily. "What was that for?"
"Because I love you."
He chuckled happily, "Well shit, baby. In that case..." He tugged the collar of your shirt gently as he brought your lips back to his, long and slow and deep.
You were breathless when you finally parted, and Eddie looked very proud of himself as he guided you up to lay beside him on the bed.
You sighed, playing with his hair, adjusting the cold pack you'd given him carefully so it better rested against his temple. You watched his big brown eyes flutter shut as you worked, "If Jonathan were here, he'd welcome you to the family."
"Hmm." Eddie winced as he adjusted the pillow beneath his head. "Why's that?"
He saw your eyes glaze a bit with memories, your expression fading. "He used to say you're not a Byers unless Lonnie's knocked you around, some."
The room was quiet for a long time. Finally, Eddie reached over to rub your arm soothingly, squeezing your hand. He had questions that he didn't want to ask.
"Did Will see him hit you?" You rasped, keeping your face hard and emotionless.
"No." Eddie reassured you. "I told him to go the second I heard someone coming up the driveway. He didn't see anything."
Your shoulders relaxed a little. Will didn't need to have anything added to his list of nightmares. "Do you think he heard?"
Eddie swallowed thickly, trying to ignore the anger that swelled in his belly at the thought of Will hearing his own father berate him through the walls. "I'm not sure. I think he might have put on some music."
He hadn't, but Eddie knew the idea would ease your mind.
You thought through his words before sighing, reaching into your bedside table for a cig and a lighter. "He used to shove him around when he was little. Jonathan and I too, but it was different with Will..." You choked, hands trembling as you lit your cigarette. "Will's always been so…so small. Too small to hold a heart so big."
Your voice tightened, words croaking.
"Mom had to work during the week and I would pick Will up from Pre-K on my way home from school." Eddie's heart ached as he watched you recall it. "I'd carry him around on my hip all afternoon because I was so worried he'd stumble into Dad's path and-"
You shook your head, abandoning the thought.
"The night mom threw dad out of the house, Will was only three. He saw dad using the TV remote and he wanted to try too." Eddie could hear the anger in every word. "He was just a baby…he picked up the remote from the coffee table and dad grabbed his little wrist so tight in his fist. I thought he was going to snap it."
"Jesus…" Eddie cursed thickly, nausea settling in his upper stomach.
"Mom heard Will crying and she ran in and saw what was happening. She made him leave…said she'd call the cops if he came back." You chewed your lower lip. "We all slept in her room with her that night."
Eddie was hit with a wave of emotion, a memory he'd long packed away resurfacing. He used to do the same on particularly bad nights. He could vaguely remember his mom's hands stroking through his short curls, soothingly.
There was a long silence. Finally, he reached for you, and you were quick to put out your cig and melt into him. He held you as best as he could, ignoring the ache in his muscles. He'd long since abandoned his ice pack, but you didn't have it in you to argue for it.
You stayed like that for a long time, wrapped in each other's arms as you listened to his steady heartbeat. You thought he might have drifted off by the time he finally spoke again.
"I used to do the same with my mom." He hummed it so softly against your head that you almost didn't catch it. "On the nights dad came around…"
His eyelashes fluttered as you reached up to graze your thumb ever so lightly over his bruised cheek. He stared off, lost in thought.
Your heart stilled. Eddie never talked about his mom. His conversation with Will was the first he'd ever mentioned her.
You only knew two things about her, and those you'd learned from Wayne. He'd given you a pat on the back one evening when he saw you admiring a photo of her and Eddie together. "I wish you could've known him before we lost her." He'd hummed weakly.
He told you she'd died a few weeks before Eddie turned eighteen. Eddie had been asleep beside her hospital bed, head resting in her lap when she'd slipped away.
He told you Eddie had loved her more than life itself.
It was hard for Eddie to think about her too much, now. It made him hurt. Still, he found himself remembering her so often around you.
Growing up, it'd been him and his mom against the world. It was the sweetest time he could remember, filled with memories of her mussing his hair  and running barefoot with him outside. He could see her smile so vividly in his memories from childhood…hear her giggling as she strummed up silly little songs about him on her guitar.
My baby will only eat meatballs. He likes them with parmesan cheese.
My baby will only eat meatballs. That's why I call him Spag-Eddie.
My boy, he's as wild as a grizzly. He's even got curly brown hair.
My boy, he's as wild as a grizzly. That's why I call him Eddie Bear.
Everything sweet soured when his dad starting coming around.
You'd always known Eddie's dad had abused him. You'd found out one night as you'd been tracing a scar on his shoulder. It was oddly shaped in comparison to the countless others that'd been left by the bats…small and round.
"This one is already healed up." You hummed softly, pressing your lips to it gently.
Eddie tensed. "That one wasn't from the bats."
There was a long silence. "What was it from?"
His voice was soft when he finally answered, as if he was a little boy.
"A cigarette."
You were overcome with a sense of protectiveness, holding him tighter at the memory. He groaned, "Ribs…"
You gasped, pulling back. "Fuck, Eds. I'm sorry."
He smiled, " 's ok. I mean, I think I've got a punctured lung now, but it's fine."
Giggling softly, you crooned over his sore body to kiss him. He sighed happily against your lips.
"We need to take you in for an x-ray…" You hummed softly, hoping your kisses were enough of a spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down.
He made a displeased sound, scrunching his nose. "I don't need an x-ray. I'm fine. I've never felt better."
You chuckled against his lips as he pulled you closer greedily. "Ed's half of your rib cage is purple. Your nose is broken."
He bit his lip, shooting you a pretty boy smile. "You still think I'm pretty though, right?"
You snorted, giving a roll of your eyes as you gently pinched his cheek. "You're always pretty."
He giggled, "Well that's all that really matters."
**********
Your mom loved Eddie. She had from the moment she saw him. Joyce Byers had a special place in her heart for "strays", and Eddie was most definitely one of them.
She'd known of him long before you'd started dating. Whispers about the Munsons were harsh and abundant around town. A few of the moms on the PTA had even started a petition to have him removed from school when he'd first started classes, claiming that he "was a loaded gun with a father like that."
Joyce had never bought into it. She saw the boy every morning when she dropped you off at school. He wasn't dangerous. He was tired and lonely. He didn't have a mother looking after him anymore.
It became a habit for your mom to glance around for Eddie when she dropped you off in the mornings, double checking that he was carrying a lunch, and that no one was bothering him.
The two of you became quick friends as the school year went on. Joyce was always ready and waiting to greet Eddie with a hug and a snack every time he visited. By the time the two of you started dating, he was practically part of the family, already.
Your mom and your brother were on a college visit together in California when you called to tell them what had happened with Lonnie. Eddie could hear you trying to calm them down from the other room as you explained the situation over the phone, but he knew your family well enough to know it wouldn't do much good.
Eddie had managed to escape the encounter with little more than a nasty bruise and a cracked rib, and luckily, that would heal all on its own. By the night after, he was already feeling well enough to help you make dinner. That's where he was, in fact, when your mother and Jonathan got home.
Your mom practically burst through the front door, dropping her suitcase.
"Where is he?" She glanced around the room, expression immediately crumbling at the sight of a still-bruised Eddie. She let out a sob, rushing to him. "Oh god…"
she squeaked, checking him over protectively before pulling him into a hug.
"Thank you. Thank you. Oh, sweetheart..." She croaked, petting his hair.  "You're such…such a good kid."
Maybe it was the way Joyce had always taken care of him. Maybe he was just feeling sentimental. But for just a moment, Eddie felt like he was hugging his mom again.
