So I was watching doctor who (boom town) and it put that great bit in my head where Blon (the murderous alien) is insisting she’s changed, that she can change, she can be a good person- she chose not to kill a person who was an active threat to her- so give her a chance and the doctor responds with this

“ That's how you slaughter millions. Because once in a while, on a whim, if the wind's in the right direction, you happen to be kind.”

So THAT has given me big JGY MXY thoughts, because while I tend ot JGY let MXY go because too many people died, I have toyed with the idea that he was kind of fond of MXY, but I like this idea, I like this of JGY has to prove to himself he can do what he wants- and that he can want to not kill people. And he tells himself it’s becuase MXY ‘s a kid, or because he didn’t do anything, but really it’s just because you have to let somebody go

(and then Blon comes back with this line

 “Only a killer would know that. Is that right? [...] Sometimes you let one go. Let me go.” 

which has big NHS and JGY dynamics ugh and spoilers, the doctor does not let Blon go. Blon has no desire to change and this whole conversation has been a ploy to twist the odds in her favour)

if there's one thing this last episode has affirmed for me about Alastor it's that he FUCKING HATES being reminded that he's not the most powerful creature in hell.

Like, he hates being ignored by Carmilla when she says she doesn't care why he was gone

He hates Lucifer ON SIGHT

He threatens to KILL Husk when he dares to mention that Alastor is working for someone more powerful than him

and now this.

Alastor freaking out because he almost died. Something almost killed him. He can fucking die. There is something more powerful than him out there. And it's not something he can ignore or brush off because it almost killed him.

Alastor hates the reminder that he's not as powerful as he tells people he is. He isn't indestructible, he isn't invincible. And he fucking hates that.
