Hey I was reading your ocean of memories fanfic recently and I wanted to know if there will be an upcoming chapter or will be finished at some point? I haven’t seen a rwby titanic fanfic that good and would love to read more when it’s up :)
Hi, Anon!
I've been taking a little break from my Bumbleby writings due to burnout and work getting crazy. I've been thinking about getting back into writing new chapters for a few of my old stories (i.e. I listen to music and have little videos play in my head for what happens in my fics). I'm hoping to get back into posting chapters in May/early June. I want to try and get a backlog of chapters put together if possible.
Thank you so much for reading Ocean of Memories! It makes me giddy knowing that folks will still go back and read my stuff.
Stay Golden!

Arionus: Lost Tides
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Designer's Reflection: Lost Tides
Obtained: Tides and Flames hell event
Rarity: UR
Attribute: Purple/Sexy
Awakened Suit: Moon Gazer
Story - transcript from Designer's Reflection
Chapter 1 - Drooping Raindrops
Chapter 2 - Tide and Flame
Chapter 3 - Eternal Promise
Chapter 4 - Flames at Dusk
Chapter 5 - Edge of the World
Story - summarized
Arionus is the only Elf God to be born in the sea, closest to the Abyss. Because of that, They have always had a fragment of that power surging and causing immense pain.
However, Pigeon Forest thrived with Arionus' power over water and rain. And after each pain-racked episode, the Fire Elf God Hephaes would come to make sure They were okay. While other Elf Gods refused to understand Arionus, Hephaes did everything They could to help quell the Abyssal Power and its agony.
But as the Elf Gods grew in power, so, too, did the Abyssal Power. Each ache that shot through Arionus' body became a torrential storm for the mortals. It finally got to the point that Arionus had to separate the Abyss from the Tree of Life, to protect the source of the Elves' power and to prevent any more destruction in Miraland. It would be dangerous, and it would mean They would lose immortality, doomed to die one day.
While Hephaes kept guard, Arionus entered the Source Spring, home of all the Elven Power. In a matter of minutes, the Source for water was destroyed, and the crack leading to the Abyss was sealed. All seemed well.
Until Arionus returned outside. Hephaes was gone, and the other Elf Gods confronted Arionus. None of them would listen, and they all immediately jumped to accusing Arionus of trying to attack the Tree of Life. The hurt and fury brought on by the "betrayal" triggered another painful episode for Arionus.
...Only it never stopped. Storms and tsunamis attacked the continent. Not even Hephaes' comforting fire could quell this turmoil. Arionus was alone.
Connections
-We first hear of Arionus during the Fallen Kingdom Sorrows event: Krista becomes a holy maiden, praying to Them for blessing and prosperity to come to Delmond. Her magic gift of crying tears of crystal came from Arionus - and so did the power to plunge Delmond into the sea.
-In Chapter 3, Arionus is surprised that Hephaes got a Holy Grail instead of a weapon. But in the memories from Dusty Fresco, Arionus and Hephaes talk about their Holy Instruments before they were even made, so They should have known about the Holy Grail by that point.
-Arionus says They will one day die. In Leonid's memories in Prophecy, he reveals that while all gods can die, they will eventually come back - except for the God of Styling.
-Arionus was worried that a tsunami would destroy Miraland. Nikki tells us this was how Miraland was destroyed in all her other timelines: a tsunami from the Ocean of Memories.
Fun Facts
-The game and event treat Arionus as gender-neutral, but the voice actor is feminine.
-While the storms came from Arionus' power, they were also caused, however indirectly, by the scorn and ostracism from the other Elf Gods. Their bigotry led them to shun Arionus and stay ignorant about the truth of the Tree of Life and the Abyss.
-So far, every time we see the power of the Abyss, it tries to consume and obliterate Miraland: the Angel/Demon hell event where the Goddess of Desire attacks Ninir, and now the Tides/Flames hell event where the Abyss surged inside Arionus and tried to force Them to destroy the land.
-The New Moon is tied to the Abyssal Power, most likely because that is when the moon is in darkness. Interestingly, the new moon rises during the daytime, not at night. And unlike in Miraland, you can't see the outline of the new moon.

Can we pretty please get a Grian and Xelqua meet-up?? I love how you draw Xelqua and Grian and I just need to see what they would do if they meet......for science of course
wait hold on.. goes crazy .. I don’t have a design for Xelqua, that was just Grian earlier, but…. I think it’d go well
Tumblr media
I think Xelqua is his patron, so he’d be excited to meet him !
but I was also playing with the idea that Little Grian here is a reincarnated version of Xelqua, but still looks up to him, prays to him, would want to be picked up and hugged by him, the safety of it. (How can he be reincarnated and still have a form here ? Well the divine can be a bit finicky)

Ocean of Memories Ch. 3
Well, I finally finished chapter 3 of my RWBY x Titanic AU, but with AO3 having issues I don't want to add more stress to the IT folks working to fix the website. So, for those who actually enjoy this fic, here's a small teaser for what's coming.
“I think I can trust you to lend me your ear," she replied quietly. A playful glint sparkled in her eyes. "As long as you’re not the kind of woman to disappear in the morning and gossip about my embarrassing near-drowning escapade. My reputation might never recover."
Yang pretended to zip her lips shut and threw the metaphorical key over the railing.
Blake slowly turned around on the rail to face the blonde and let out a shaky breath that she didn’t even know she had been holding. Amber eyes met lilac once more and she felt a foreign warmth spread from her chest to the tips of her fingers. Her eyes flickered to their clasped hands, and a spark of electricity bolted through her arm.
For the first time in a long time, she felt at ease.
Yang smiled warmly. Her hand was still intertwined with Blake's. “Pardon my forwardness, Miss.” She gently wrapped her free arm around Blake's waist, providing a comforting anchor. "But now that we're properly able to introduce ourselves," she said with a playful lilt in her voice as she shook their hands. "I'm Yang, Yang Xiao Long."
A soft smile graced Blake's lips as she sniffed against the cold, wiping away the drying tears on her cheeks with her free hand. "Blake Belladonna.”
Yang blinked in disbelief before sighing dramatically. “You’ve gotta be kidding me! Not only are you absolutely gorgeous, but even your name means ‘beautiful woman’? Next, you’re going to tell me that you’re some sort of femme fatale assassin, aren’t you?"
Blake couldn’t help the small bark of laughter that escaped her lips. “I’m sorry to disappoint you, but this horrible dime-store novella ends with the mysterious woman from first-class just being a Faunus.”
“Well, then we’ll just have to up the quality a bit to make it a best-seller,” Yang said jokingly. “Now, come on. Let’s get you over here.”
“Please.” Blake carefully stepped up to the next rung on the railing and felt her dress catch underneath her shoe. A wave of panic surged through her as her foot slipped from the precarious position. A blood-curdling scream escaped her as she plummeted downwards, desperately clinging to Yang’s hand as she dangled over the churning, icy waters below.

Leonid: Prophecy

Designer’s Reflection: Prophecy
Obtained: VIP 24 - VIP 26, Reflection at VIP 27
Rarity: UR
Attribute: Purple/Sexy
Awakened Suit: Revelation
Story - transcripts from Designer’s Reflection
Chapter 1 - Judgment
Chapter 2 - Apocalypse
Chapter 3 - Stars
Chapter 4 - The Fall
Chapter 5 - Revelation
Story - summarized
~Content Warning: major spoilers for the game’s plot~
After defeating and trapping the Goddess of Desire in the abyss, Leonid soars out of the Ocean of Memories... and into his next trial. He comes face to face with the many, many gods of faiths throughout space and time. As each civilization or religion rises, so too does the corresponding god or pantheon.
None of them are happy that Leonid bested a god. They see him as a threat to their very existence: if a mortal defeated one god, who is to say it won’t happen again? They try to destroy him - fortunately, while the gods are all-powerful, they’re not all-knowing, so Leonid is able to escape.
He comes across an old friend of his, the God of Styling and Their five envoys. They offer him a respite, but Leonid doesn’t want to stay long. He still desires knowledge and the greater pursuit of truth. He says goodbye to Them and Their envoys before leaving.
But not long after he left, the older gods waged war against the newer gods. The old gods want to destroy Miraland and other similar continents to prevent other humans from coming there and besting them. The new gods wish to protect the humans from destruction and terror. Finally, the God of Styling decides to give up Their life - Their very existence, even - to end the war. No god is unscathed, but Miraland is safe for now.
The fallen gods all come back as civilizations rise again, and they fade when their peoples die out.
Except for the God of Styling. They took Themself out of the cycle of rebirth.
Leonid tried in vain to bring Them back, traveling through time, planting the power of styling, tracking history through designs. Nothing brought Them back.
Finally, Leonid heard a voice from the future. It was Nikki, saying she would never give up. Her will to keep going triggered a flash of light. The light of the God of Styling.
Leonid named her his successor, gave her the snowflake necklace, and set up star trails to guide Nikki and help you, the God of Styling, come back to life.
Connections
-After defeating the Goddess of Desire, she “looks” past Nikki and says to the player, “It’s you.” She recognizes you as the deity that died during the war.
-The overarching story arc for Volume 2 is finding the Five Envoys. They are the ones surrounding the God of Styling when Leonid approaches them, and as “you” explore Vol. 2 with Nikki, each of them says you feel familiar.
-In Vol. 2, Chapter 1, Leonid’s voice tells you, the player, to “open the door and return to your world.” He’s hinting that you are the missing god.
-While trying to bring back the God of Styling, Leonid noted that Nikki kept failing but never gave up. Nikki’s Reflection for Star Sea explains that she kept going back in time to try to save Miraland, and her desire to keep trying is the spark that resonated with you, the God of Styling, and woke you up.
-Nikki got the snowflake necklace from Leonid in the game Nikki Up2U.
Fun Facts
-All the clothing pieces in the suit are super versatile. They can blend into any suit (as you saw during the “mistake” photos in October).
-This Reflection is a fitting end to Leonid’s trilogy. He remains mysterious as ever, but it explains more why he chose Nikki as his successor, why it seemed he wanted Miraland to head towards destruction, and what his ultimate goal is.
-Leonid mentions a Tree of Life. Several religions feature such a tree in their mythology.
-The God of Styling says that there will always be a cycle of death and rebirth. Rebirth/reincarnation is another concept that several religions have.
-In the trailer for Nikki’s suit Star Sea, a celestial figure whispers to her, “You can do it.” It’s possible this is you, the God of Styling, coming back to join her.
-The God of Styling is gender neutral in the Reflection. Sometimes, Leonid uses he/him or she/her pronouns, but the god is always neutral. So, I made all the pronouns They/Them for clarity’s sake here.

10. What is your favorite genre book to recommend to someone who doesn’t usually like that genre?
Usually when people ask me for a rec for a genre they don’t usually like, they are asking for sci-fi, and I start by trying to figure out different access points based on what they already like. I’m not much of a hard sci-fi person, tending more to the space opera and political thrillers, so here’s a few “if you like x, maybe try y”:
If you like romance, give Everina Maxwell’s Winter’s Orbit a try. It’s definitely sci-fi in setting and plot, but it also hits nicely in the formulaic patterns of a arranged-marriage, strangers-to-lovers story that will help you through it even if the sci-fi elements are throwing you off. The author has another similar book that increases the sci-fi elements and is enemies-to-lovers as well, so if you like Winter’s Orbit, Ocean’s Echo is a good next step.
If you like non-fiction, The Martian by Andy Weir is a great pick. I have multiple friends who got into reading again as adults via The Martian. It’s well-written, well-grounded, funny, and very sci-fi. If you’ve already read it, then maybe give To Be Taught if Fortunate by Becky Chambers a try. It can be described with all the same adjectives, plus it’s a short novella, so if you’re hesitant, it’s less intimidating.
If you like mysteries or political thrillers, boy is there a lot of great sci-fi out there for you. The crux of a lot of sci-fi is space or high-tech settings with a plot that asks questions about personhood, and that mixes really well with detectives and spies wandering around trying to solve problems and find truths. Try Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells (it’s partway through a series of great books and novellas, but that one’s the most traditional mystery plot) or A Desolation Called Peace by Arkady Martine (ambassador solving her predecessor’s mysterious death while trying to do his job)(I’d also recommend this one if you read a lot of classics) EDIT: just realized I mistyped - book 1 by Arkady Martine is A Memory Called Empire.
If YA/ Bildungsromanen/ New Adult figuring the world out through trial and error is often your jam, try Provenance by Ann Leckie (for the kid who really wants to do things right) or The Warrior’s Apprentice by Lois McMaster Bujold (for another kid who wants to do things right, but is also a high-energy chaos gremlin).
If you like fantasy, you probably already have read some sci-fi; it’s all under the speculative fiction umbrella and genres are vague anyway. All the same, I know this is the Locked Tomb Website, but give Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir a shot (it’s got magic and mayhem and an epic locked-room whodunnit mystery). The Best of All Possible Worlds by Karen Lord is also good - it has a team of people traveling together and thinking about morals and discovering new abilities, plus some romance.
I’m sure there’s lots of genres I’m forgetting right now, but feel free to send me another ask for any specific one!
