your allergy fics are so good! would you be able to write one with jungkook? any caretaker, with jungkook coming into contact with something he's terribly allergic to but he wants to enjoy (like a bouquet of flowers or a cute kitten idk) and it sets him off sneezing a ton, with a super itchy nose. thank you!
I have plenty of mostly finished projects, but I can't bring myself to post them, so I keep working on new ones, and after months, I finally made one I like!
"Jaykay...Jungkook-ah.. wake up.. we're landing.." Hoseok shakes the mankae when his gentle approach doesn't work. "Jaykay your face is so puffy.." Hoseok smiles fondly, grabbing Jungkook's face and smooshing his face in between his fingers.
Jungkook moans in complaint, his eyes fluttering open to look at Hoseok. "Hyung..what time is it?" he grabs Hoseok's wrist to get him to stop attacking his cheeks, rubbing at his eyes. "It's morning still?"
"It is..Good morning Junggukkie." Hoseok smiles, feeling pride in successfully getting him to start moving. "It's because of the time difference. Remember?"
Jungkook studies his surroundings perplexed before his eyes widen with recognition when the sleep that fogged his memory dissipates, replaced with excitement. "Oh! I know! We're filming a music video!I'm so excited! We're going to be filming by a real waterfall and going to a garden with hundreds of different flowers and we're going to work with birds!" The memory of the meeting floods over him.
"We're going to get amazing photos. I wonder if we'll get to see a real toucan." Taehyung adds in his own excitement, leaning forward to talk to Jungkook.
"Toucan? Do you really think we can see a real one? I've seen videos of them and they don't look real." Hoseok adds in.
"Everyone, please return to your seats and buckle up." The boys hear the announcement, gathering up their things.
"Namjoon-ah do you have everything?" Yoongi asks, placing his tablet into his bag.
"Of course. You gifted me a holder for my passport after that incident in japan.." Namjoon pulls out the passport that was tucked into his shirt.
"That's because we almost couldn't perform.. you're lucky that man found it in the bathroom for you.. What about your headphones?"
Namjoon opens his airpod case, ears reddening when he sees there's only one inside, feeling around his seat until he finds it. "You knew i lost one didn't you hyung.."
"It fell out when you were sleeping." Yoongi smiles, then gasps in surprise when the turbulence hits, clutching onto the armrest, his stomach churning uncomfortably.
"You okay Yoongi?" Jin asks, taking out his headphones when he feels Yoongi's hand brush against his arm.
"I'm okay, my stomach just fluttered.." Yoongi swallows the saliva that filled his mouth, taking a deep breath. "It'll pass.."
"We're almost on the ground, and we'll have a few hours to rest." Jin reassures the daegu rapper, taking his hand.
"Thanks hyungie.." Yoongi speaks softly, squeezing Jin's hand.
"You don't have to thank me. Just take it easy until the shoot okay?" Jin gently runs his thumb across Yoongi's knuckles.
"We landed!" Jungkook says excitedly, unbuckling himself, but Hoseok puts his hand on Jungkook's thigh.
"Let's wait a bit to get off Kook-ah." Hoseok orders gently side eyeing Yoongi, who still hadn't regained the color in his cheeks.
"Yes hyung..." Jungkook settles back in, eyes sparkling. It doesn't matter if I have to wait. I'll be able to film with the birds and see the waterfall and take pretty photos for army.
"Is everyone finished changing?" Namjoon asks, looking over his team, frowning when he notices Jungkook's darker outfit in comparison to everyone else's vibrant colors."Jungkook, that's the wrong outfit..that's for the garden shoot.."
"Aish..I'm sorry Hyung.." Jungkook quickly starts stripping to switch outfits. "Everything looks so pretty from the carride and the hotel view..I got excited.." he casts his eyes down guiltily. I'm not some teenager anymore.. I need to concentrate and not make such rookie mistakes.. I should've noticed I didn't match..
"It's okay, just pay attention from now on, alright? We need to focus on filming. We only have so much daylight with outside shoots." Namjoon rubs Jungkook's back, helping him get changed to make it quicker.
"I'll pay attention from now on.." Jungkook promises shyly looking away from Namjoon. After switching to match the others in the mankae line, the seven boys leave the dressing room, Jungkook fighting the urge to run towards the sound of the waterfall.
Hoseok and Jimin links arms with Jungkook, keeping him at pace with the others. "Calm down Jaykay you don't want to risk getting hurt on this uneven ground before we even get there." Hoseok scolds him gently, leading him around a tree root.
"I'll be careful, sorry hyung.." Jungkook watches his feet carefully stepping over branches and stones that made it on the path. Taehyung and Namjoon walk ahead of them, taking photos of the scenery in front of them. "Why can't I run free with Rapmonie hyung and Taehyungie-hyungie?"
"What? You don't want to walk with me?" Jimin pouts, letting go of Jungkook. "Fine, go play with them."
"I didn't mean it like that Jimin-shii.. I just wanted to go ahead too.." Jungkook relinks his arm with Jimin pulling him and Hoseok to walk ahead with the others.
"Look Hyung! That tree.. it's filled with birds." Jungkook points our, his voice scaring the birds into fleeing in several directions.
"Kook-ah you scared them away." Namjoon frowns, watching them go with disappointment.
"I'm sor..ah..ah.." Jungkook puts his hand over his nose with an itch forms, breath hitching. "Ah..heygifh!"
"[Bless you]" Jimin speaks in English. "You okay? Not catching a cold are you? You did sleep the whole plane ride.."
"No, no I'm okay..my nose just had a bad itch.."Jungkook sniffles, wiping his nose with the side of his hand. "A feather must've tickled my nose or something..I haven't felt sick today."
"I can see the waterfall!" Jin announces, everyone looking forward, trying to spot it through the trees.
"Oh wow, it's bigger than I thought it would be.." Yoongi's eyes widen when he sees it, the boys rushing to get closer.
Jungkook bends down to take a photo of a cluster of flowers, trying to ignore the itch that annoyed the tip of his nose.
"Don't get too close to the water, Jungkook-ah. You need to stay dry for the shoot."
"I won't hyung..I'm just looking at the flowers.." Jungkook's breath hitches when another sneeze builds up, but he gently rubs it away. I can't be getting sick now.. we're spending four days in a tropical paradise.
"Did you get water in your nose Gukkie?" Taehyung asks when he approaches Jungkook, the younger jumping when he sees Taehyung next to him.
"Aish, Hyung you scared me.. I didn't hear you coming over the water. I don't know what's wrong with me, but .ah..agh..heh'ticgish!" Jungkook quickly covers his face, Taehyung grabbing the back of his shirt to keep him balanced. "Ugh. Thanks Taehyungie-hyung. I was fine earlier..I don't know why I'm sneezing all of a sudden.."
"Maybe it's all the flowers.. maybe you should take some medicine just in case.." Taehyung suggests, pulling Jungkook away from them.
"But I want to get some good shots for Army to see." Jungkook whines, but makes no attempt to pull away.
"We have to work now. We can take photos together later, and I can take photos for you if you can't get close." Taehyung promises leading him back to the others. "Is there any way we can get allergy medicine for Jungkook? His nose is getting red and stuffy.."
"I'm sorry, but we would have to go back to the resort for that.. I'll send someone to go get some. Do you think you can film until then Jungkook-sii?" The manager asks.
"Yes, I'll be okay. It's not that bad. It's just an annoyance.. I can still film.." Jungkook replies politely.
A female staff member digs in her purse, handing him a small packet of tissues. "Here Jungkook. Blowing your nose might help."
"Thanks Noona.." he bows, turning away from the others to try to clear his nose of the clear goo. "That's much better.."
As soon as the seven members get their makeup redone and the director gives them their directions, the boys get right to work going through the scenes and choreography.
"Jimin-ah..you weren't looking in the same direction as the others and you led on the wrong foot.." Hoseok scolds him when they were reviewing the clips, noticing Jimin was looking at Jungkook who couldn't stop sniffling, fighting off the urge to sneeze.
"I'm sorry.. can we do it one more time? I'll get it right this time." Jimin bows in apology to his members, looking at Jungkook when he does it. Jungkookie looks uncomfortable..I need to get it right the first time so he can get some time to rest.
Jungkook tries to hold back another sneeze when he sees Jimin's worried gaze staring back at him, but Jimin could see his nose twitching as the itch builds up.
"Noona will be back soon.." Jimin gently uses his thumb to wipe the tear that formed in Jungkook's tear duct. "You don't have to be tough for us, okay?"
"I'm not crying..my eyes are just watering because of my allergies.." Jungkook sniffles. "I'm okay..it's just irrita..ah..itdgitch! Heh'itchu!"
"Bless you.." Hoseok frowns, hugging Jungkook from behind. "My poor baby.."
"Jungkook-sii I got..you the medicine." The staff member who ran to the resort calls to him, out of breath from running back.
Taehyung rushes over to get the medicine from her, popping the blister pack to get the round pink pill for Jungkook, bringing it back to him. "Here Jungkookie, I got it."
"Thanks Hyung." Jungkook swallows the pill Taehyung gives him, Jimin getting him water to help it go down quicker. "Let's do the shoot again."
"You don't want time for it to kick in?” Jin asks, fretting over the youngest.
Jungkook shakes his head."No, I already got us behind schedule with all the touch ups.. I can do it.."
Jungkook and Taehyung rush ahead of the other members despite the older members calling to them, unable to hear them over the sound of the birds.
"Oh wow.. it's so pretty!" Jungkook's pupils take over his irises, his eyes becoming to round black discs, taking in the special guests for their music video. "Oh wow..This one's purple..I never seen a purple bird before!'
"This is [purple honeycreeper.] This one rescue. I thought he would be perfect for you ." The bird handler smiles when he sees the boys look surprised at his Korean skills.
"[Purple honeycreeper..]" Jungkook repeats the name in English. "[What's bird name?]"
"[Ah, right introductions...] I'm Gary and this bird here is Viola."
"Can I touch?" Jungkook asks, ignoring his body's warning. The medicine helped him yesterday, but at the moment he felt just as bad as he did the first day they were filming.
"Hold out finger." Gary tells him, showing Taehyung what to do by getting Viola to go on his finger. "[Step up Viola.]" He gives the command, letting her climb onto his finger.
The other members catch up, taking in the sights of the colorful birds surrounding them.
Jungkook holds his to Viola, gasping when he feels the bird use its beak to balance herself while she climbs onto his finger. "Look Hyung..i'm holding a bird!" Jungkook sniffles, turning to the man. "Can i pet?"
"As long as you only touch her head and neck." Gary gently ordered.
"You can't touch a bird anywhere else or it will think you want to mate." Yoongi tells Jungkook.
Jungkook turns to the handler, who blushes."Ah, that's true. It.. excites them if you touch its wings or chest too much.."
Jungkook nods, gently touching Viola's head, gently ruffling the feathers. Oh no.. not now..
Jungkook quickly places his hand on Taehyung's shoulder, hoping the bird would have a safe escape from the sneezes he could feel coming despite his efforts to hold them back. "Heh'heh..heygifh! Heh'itchu! Higtcvhsgh!"
Viola screeches, flapping her wings in fear jumping off of Jungkook's hand and jumping onto Taehyung's head, trying to get farther from the sound that startled her.
The other birds go into panic at the sound of viola, Hoseok clinging to Namjoon when they take flight.
Jungkook covers his face, trying to muffle the sound, but when the birds take flight the feeling only worsens. "Hehtichih!"
"[Woah, Woah. It's okay Viola.. it's okay..]" Taehyung tries to speak English for the frightened bird, Gary trying to calm his other pets down.
"Somethings wrong you need to get away.." Jin starts leading Jungkook away from the chaos, his heart racing in fear.
I can't breathe..I need to calm down..
Jungkook staggered away from the others, Jin keeping a tight grip on the mankae"Woah Jungkook I got you.."
"Heh..hehitxgh! Heh'itchu! Hey'itchi!" Jungkook let out another flurry of sneezes, holding Jin tightly. It wasn't the flowers..
"Here Jungkookie, look at me.." Jin gently leads his chin up, taking a nasal spray from the bag he was given as an accessory. "I got this just in case.."
"Thanks hyung.." Jungkook sniffles, taking it from Jin. "Heh'itchii! Hey'itchi!" He sneezes as soon as he puts it near his nose only amplifying the itch that plagued his sinuses.
"Here let hyung do it." Jin gently grabs Jungkook's chin, tilting his head upwards. "Try to sit still for me. I'll make it quick..okay?"
Jungkook nods, holding his breath to try to avoid sneezing on Jin as he swiftly sprays the medicine into one nostril than the other.
"Hei' etfhitch! Heh'itchu!" Jungkook's eyes water as he sneezes. "I'm sorry Hyung.."
"It's okay baby.. I know you aren't feeling well." Jin rubs the back of Jungkook's neck. "I think your allergic to birds Jungkookie.."
"I was around birds before..I was fine.." Jungkook sniffles, rubbing at his nose to try to ease the itch that threatened to cause more sneezes to erupt from him.
"You can develop new allergies Kook-ah.. I know how excited you were to play with them, but outside of filming I think you should avoid them." Jin tells him solemnly.
Yoongi goes up to them with a small packet of tissues, giving it to Jungkook. "They got the birds under control, but they want to give them time to fully calm down."
"That's good. I was worried I ruined the...heh..heh.." Jungkook felt the sneeze building, but it was only a false start. "Ruined the music shoot.." he finishes, his voice coming out as a nasally whisper, trying to clear his nose to see if that would ease the discomfort that was making him miserable.
"It's not your fault, Jungkookie. We could always make changes. What's important is that you don't suffer for the shoot. Even if you push through it, army will be able to see how much you're suffering." Yoongi puts his arm around Jungkook, pulling him close.
"I'll go get the others so we can see what our next move is. We'll figure this out together, okay Kookie?" Jin leaves to the filming site.
"Hyung I really wanted to play with the birds.." Jungkook sighs, knowing that all the members would agree with Jin.
"I know. Life sucks.. now you and Jiminie can suffer together." Yoongi teases him lightly, getting a small smile out of Jungkook.

Persistent Fever (Sicktember, Jungkook)
Sicktember Prompt: #8 Persistent Fever
Word Count: 420
Sickie: Jungkook (fever)
Caregiver: Namjoon
“You can’t seem to shake this bug, huh?”
Namjoon’s going for a lighter tone, but it just comes out sounding worried as fuck. Jungkook is on day five of the flu from hell and his fever is hanging on despite the fever reducers and the twelve hours of sleep a day he’s been getting and then never-ending worry that, apparently, Namjoon can’t keep from his voice for even one sentence.
Jungkook peers up at him from where he’s curled up on his side, arms wrapped around himself. He’s trembling and Namjoon pulls out his phone to search on Naver for the tenth time whether he should let Jungkook have his blanket back or not.
“I’m cold,” Jungkook replies flatly. And then, he ducks his head to his chest as the beginnings of a cough bubble up in his chest. The cough that comes out is awful-sounding, crackly and congested as it catches in his lungs and forces its way out.
“Damn, Jungkook-ah,” Namjoon whispers, dragging a hand down his face.
When Jungkook finally catches his breath, he pulls his knees even tighter to his chest, shivers shaking his frame. After a moment, he seems to realize something, and he pats at his own chest.
“Where’s my–” Jungkook’s breath catches, in danger of turning into another cough until he swallows it down. “Where’s my sweatshirt? And my pants?”
"You got really overheated last night."
"You…you took my clothes off of me?"
"No! You took your own clothes off. You don't remember?” Namjoon frowns.
Jungkook slowly shakes his head, swallowing with a wince.
“Well, we can get you back into a sweatshirt, but why don’t you change into some dry clothes before you do?” Namjoon eyes the sweat-drenched t-shirt and boxers. “I’m going to go grab you some water. Let me know if you need help changing.”
Jungkook nods and pushes himself up into a sitting position.
Namjoon tries not to worry about the way that he sways back and forth as he leaves the room. When he returns, Jungkook is wearing a fresh sweatshirt and pair of sweatpants, and he has also found his missing blanket and wrapped himself up in it like a sickly little burrito.
“Kook-ah,” Namjoon sighs. “You’ll overheat again.”
“At least I won’t be cold then,” Jungkook grumbles, squeezing his eyes shut.
Namjoon takes in his flushed cheeks, his sweat-matted hair.
“Okay,” he concedes, because Jungkook is miserable enough as it is. “You can keep the blanket.”
Jungkook smiles. He falls asleep less than two minutes later.

How about when Jungkook gets a cold & is super clingy/needy so tae takes care of him and then tae ends up sick too🥺
Oooh, I haven't written just basic cold symptoms in FOREVER!! And a sickie swap trope. Two classics that I haven't written in such a long time. I really enjoyed writing this. Thanks so much for the request. Gotta love clingy Taekook.
This is my first published attempt at writing phonetic snz content and congestion dialogue. I'm not super confident in that. If anyone has any feedback on how to improve, please let me know. I'd love to confidently write more snz content.
Pairing: Taekook - platonic intentions but open interpretation
Words: 2984
Warnings: Illness || Graphic Descriptions of Cold Symptoms || Snz content || Congestion || Snot || Mentions of Burns || Sick Members
Taehyung swears he went to bed alone last night. For the first time in a while, he slept in his own bed in his shared room with Namjoon, snuggling only pillows. So he’s confused when he wakes up and there’s the pressure of another whole human resting on his chest. He knows he can be a heavy sleeper, but he likes to think he would wake up if someone literally climbs on top of him.
He pulls the blanket back to reveal the culprit and sees long strands of bright purple hair splayed across his chest. He chuckles and rubs a hand up and down the maknae’s back. “Jungkookie, when did you get here?” He asks the sleeping vocalist.
Namjoon answers for him, “He stumbled in around 4 in the morning. Said he wasn’t feeling well and climbed into your bed.” He’s already up and dressed, just collecting what he needs for the day.
“What do you mean not feeling well? He was fine last night?” He knows because they were up playing video games until 1 AM, “And you just let him in my bed? Now I’m going to get sick.” Taehyung sounds offended. As much as he loves cuddling with his only dongsaeng, he really doesn’t want to get sick.
“What did you expect me to do? Turn him away? Send poor, sick, half-asleep Jungkook-ie back to his empty room.” Namjoon counters. They both know how hard it is to say no to Jungkook. Especially when he’s showing any signs of vulnerability.
“You could have let him sleep with you?” Taehyung offers an alternative, even though it’s already too late. Jungkook’s germs are probably already making their way into Taehyung’s body. His immune system will never be able to fight them off. If the germs are strong enough to take Jungkook out, anyone he comes in contact with is doomed. Jungkook germs are nearly as strong as Jungkook himself. The dorm doesn’t stand a chance.
“Hell no, I don’t want to get sick.” Namjoon laughs at the scowl on Taehyung’s morning face. It’s not intimidating with his eyes still puffy from sleep and his hair sticking up in every direction.
“You’re gonna get sick anyway.” Taehyung is not amused by the leader's reluctance, “If it starts with Jungkook, it spreads through the dorm like wildfire.”
“Well, I’m going to put it off as long as I can.” Namjoon replies. He can tell Taehyung’s unhappy with him, so he’s quick to further defend himself, “Besides, he walked right over to you. He wanted you. And you know-”
“Yeah. I know, I know. What Jungkook wants, Jungkook gets. I remember.” Taehyung finishes Namjoon’s thought with a dramatic eye roll. It’s a common mantra used around the dorms. They really do spoil their youngest rotten, even at 23.
Namjoon nods, “I already talked with the managers. They know the situation and are willing to accommodate. We’re on flex scheduling until further notice.” He explains as he packs the last of his things. “And the managers want you to call them if he gets bad. He may need to see a doctor.”
Taehyung just shoots the leader a thumbs-up as he leaves the room. At least he doesn’t have to worry about schedules. There’s no use being angry about it. And he’s already contaminated, so no point in pushing Jungkook away now. He brushes a hand through the maknae’s long hair. He doesn’t feel warm. He wouldn’t fake an illness just for cuddles, would he? It doesn’t sound like a very Jungkook thing to do.
He slips out of bed, thankful that Jungkook stays asleep, and goes to the bathroom. Just because he’s stuck at the dorm taking care of Jungkook doesn’t mean he wants to lounge around in sleepwear all day. Besides, maybe (and it’s a big maybe) he can beat the germs if he goes all in on personal hygiene. So he takes a long, hot shower hoping to wash any germs Jungkook’s shared with him.
Taehyung is rinsing the conditioner out of his hair when he hears a knock on the bathroom door. “Yeah,” He calls out to whoever’s on the other side. The response is a loud, wet sounding cough and a whined out “Taehyungie” that lasts several seconds longer than it should. He knows instantly it’s Jungkook. “I’ll be out in a few minutes, Kookie. Wait for hyung.” The older vocalist shouts through the door.
But Jungkook doesn’t wait. He opens the unlocked bathroom door and sits on the sink countertop. It’s the closest the maknae can get to Taehyung without jumping in the shower with him. “TaeTae, I dond feel good.” He coughs again, not even trying to cover it. Germ filled droplets linger in the steamy air. “By throat hurts. I hab a headache.”
Jungkook’s voice sounds bad. It’s raspy and congested. Like his vocal chords lost a battle to a cheese grater and he gargled a box of push pins. Taehyung clicks his tongue, “Sounds like you caught a cold, bun. Try not to talk too much, you don’t want to hurt your throat more.” He’s rushing to finish up in the shower, knowing Jungkook is waiting for him. Jungkook gets clingy when he’s sick. Clingier than normal. He craves physical contact, and has been known to cry if he’s not getting it. Honestly, Taehyung’s impressed that Jungkook’s not crying now after waking up in an empty bed. Hopefully he can hold it together a few more minutes.
The hot steam in the bathroom loosens some of the congestion that’s clogging Jungkook’s sinuses. He pitches forward with three loud messy sneezes back to back. He nearly falls off the counter with the force of the last one. His nose drips with snot and he wipes it on the back of his sleeve. He doesn’t even think to use toilet paper until it’s too late. But he grabs a wad to blow his nose into. He blows with as much force as he can. He wants to be able to breathe again. When he can’t blow anymore, he huffs. There’s still so much mucus lodged in there. “Dae-hyug” The maknae sniffles, “sneebing hurds.”
Taehyung coos. “I’m sorry, Kookie.” He peeks his head out of the shower curtain, water droplets fall from the tips of his hair onto the floor. “Once I’m out of the shower, hyung will get you some medicine and make you some tea. Does that sound good?” Jungkook nods vigorously. He has to sniffle harshly to keep his nose from dripping. “Okay, just a few more minutes. I’m just about done.” The older vocalist goes back to showering. When he finishes, he shuts off the water and wraps a towel around himself.
Jungkook clings to him as soon as he steps out, wrapping both of his hands around Taehyung’s bicep. He doesn’t care that Taehyung’s still soaking wet. He’s gone too long without physical comfort. “Hyung, hurds.”
“I know, Kook. I just need to get dressed and then we can work on it.” He reminds as he guides the youngest back to his room. It takes a lot of coaxing to get Jungkook to agree to sit patiently on the bed and wait for his hyung to dress. Taehyung has to physically peel Jungkook's fingers from the vice grip he has on his arm. The older vocalist is worried he might come away with some finger shaped bruises on his upper arm.
"Heh'CHIshu Eh'shceHU" Jungkook's sneezes shake the whole bed frame. He whines after the second one and it leads to a coughing fit. He wants Taehyung, but he knows his hyung is still not ready for him. He fidgets restlessly to wait.
Taehyung coos in sympathy. Jungkook's always been a frequent sneezer, and usually he's not bothered by them. But he knows the maknae has a sore throat and he can imagine that those sneezes ripping out of him probably don't feel too great. So he forgoes fashion and puts on what's easiest- a pair of joggers and a t-shirt.
Taehyung doesn't even have to announce that he's dressed before Jungkook slings himself toward the older vocalist. This time, he's wrapped both his arms around Taehyung's shoulders, resting his head against the back of his neck. Despite being taller and bigger than Taehyung, this feels right. He whines and the sound vibrates against Taehyung’s ear. “Alright, Kookie. We’re going to the living room now.” he announces as he starts to make his way there. He’s basically dragging Jungkook the whole way.
Taehyung tries to drop Jungkook on the sofa while he goes to the kitchen to make tea. But Jungkook’s not having it. He refuses to go anywhere without Taehyung. So the older man sighs and continues toward the kitchen with the maknae still clinging to his back. “When I inevitably get sick, you better take care of me this well.” Taehyung jokes as he muscles his way to his kitchen. Jungkook is not light and he’s not doing much of anything to support his own weight.
The maknae just nods against Taehyung’s shoulder. He stays slung there while Taehyung prepares a tea kettle, fishes for a soothing tea flavor, and finds cold medicine in the cabinets. Jungkook is less than eager to take the medicine. He’s afraid that the orange juice Taehyung hands him will sting in his throat. Or that the pills will get stuck and make him cough, leading to more pain. It hurts to swallow. But he relents when Taehyung reminds him it will make him feel better. He does want to feel better.
The older vocalist passes time waiting for the kettle to whistle just petting Jungkook’s hair. The youngest hums in content. It’s hard to stay awake with Taehyung’s practiced fingers combing through his hair.
There’s a sudden tickle in Jungkook’s nose. He tries to will it away, but his breath hitches and he doesn’t have time to pull himself away. He just shoves his face further into Taehyung’s shoulder. “Het’Tchuu” It's wet and messy against his hyung's shoulder. He is afraid that if he pulls away, there will be a string of snot that clings between the tip of his nose and the wet spot on Taehyung's shirt. He's too embarrassed to move.
Taehyung grabs one of Jungkook's hands to comfort him. He could feel the spray of the sneeze seep through his shirt. But he's already come to terms with the fact he's smothered by Jungkook's germs. No use being grossed out now. Besides, he doesn't really have room to talk, his own sudden sneezes have accidentally sprayed other members before. They usually just laugh it off as typical clumsy Taehyung.
He grabs a napkin within reach and holds it up by his shoulder. "Poor Kook-ah. You've caught quite a nasty cold. Can you blow for hyung?" He encourages.
Jungkook quickly snatches the napkin and uses it to wipe the tip of his nose and scrub at the stain on Taehyung's shirt. It's not doing much to help, the damage has already been done. But he can't take care of himself until he fixes his mistake.
Taehyung clicks his tongue, "That's not what I asked you to do, bun. Don't worry about my shirt. It can be washed." He offers Jungkook another napkin, "You should blow your nose. All that gunk in there is making you sneeze. You need to get it out."
Jungkook nods and he can feel the sticky substance move with him. He feels so gross. He can’t remember the last time he caught a simple cold. He didn’t remember it being this miserable. He accepts the second napkin and turns away to forcefully blow his nose. The roughness of the napkin irritates his nose as he pinches it. He knows it’ll lead to irritation and itchiness later. But now he’s just thankful that the napkin’s filling with the stuff that was once clogging his sinuses. He still can’t breathe well through his nose, but it’s progress.
The tea kettle finally whistles and Taehyung makes quick work on pouring the tea. His movements are fluid around the kitchen now that Jungkook’s preoccupied with clearing his nose and not slung over him anymore. The maknae throws the napkin away as Taehyung walks over to him, steaming cup in hand. “Come on, you can rest on the couch.”
“You’ll day wid be,” Jungkook pleads, clinging onto Taehyung’s arm like he’s not taking any chances.
“Of course, Kook. I’m not going anywhere.” He guides them to the couch. The older vocalist settles against the arm of the sofa, and Jungkook settles against him, tea cup in both hands. Jungkook’s head is on Taehyung’s shoulder, his legs slung over his hyung’s. Taehyung’s hand is in his hair again, scratching gently against his scalp.
Jungkook’s content. He takes a tentative sip of his tea, afraid to burn his tongue, or worse, his throat. He can’t really taste it, but he’s pleased when the hot liquid slides easily down his sore throat. It provides a layer of comfort that wasn’t there before. He greedily takes a second sip.
Taehyung giggles at Jungkook enjoying the tea. He keeps the cup close to his mouth, the steam rising into his nasal cavity and relieving some of that pressure as well. The tea is a godsend. Best idea Taehyung’s ever had. But as the thickness in his sinuses shift, he feels the itch of another sneeze. He hitches with enough warning to turn his head away before pitching with a thick “Hekt’TICHU”. But the action shakes his whole body. The cup in his hands jostles and a generous portion of the tea spills into Taehyung’s lap. The older man bites his lips to prevent yelping out in pain, he knows Jungkook didn’t do it on purpose.
Jungkook redacts his previous assessment; the tea is a curse.
“Hyund,” He sniffles as more snot tries to fall from his nose, “I’b do dorry. I didn’d bean id.” He doesn’t know what he can do to help.
Taehyung takes a deep breath to calm himself, pushing through the pain. It burns, not bad enough to bore through any layers of skin. It probably won’t even blister too badly. But for now, it stings and will probably leave a decent sized red mark on his leg. He passes Jungkook the box of tissues on the side table and encourages him to blow out the newly loosened snot. “I know you didn’t mean it, Kook. It was an accident.” He snatches the tea cup from Jungkook’s hands and sets it on the table in front of them. “But let’s leave this here until you want to take a sip, okay. So it doesn’t happen again.” Jungkook agrees, blowing his nose with the tissues Taehyung provided. He doesn’t think he wants the tea anymore anyways.
With his hands now free, Jungkook can resume clinging to his hyung. He changes positions so his head is laying on Taehyung’s lap, minding the spot where Taehyung was burned. His hands grip tightly to his hyung’s shirt. The medicine Taehyung gave him was not non-drowsy, he realizes as his eyes become heavy. He tries to fight it off.
“Getting sleepy again, bun,” Taehyung muses as he plays with Jungkook’s long hair again. Jungkook nods with a sniffle. “Then sleep, silly. You need rest to feel better.” And now Jungkook thinks he was given the PM medication on purpose. Jungkook opens one eye to look up at Taehyung. He opens his mouth to speak, but all that comes out is a hitched breath and a string of hard coughs directed toward Taehyung’s belly.
Taehyung anticipates the request, “No, Kookie. I’m not going to go anywhere.” His voice cracks when he answers, he clears his throat noticies it doesn’t clear nicely. He figured it was a fast acting cold given how quickly Jungkook caught it, but he thought he’d have more time before he started experiencing symptoms. It really is one hell of a cold Jungkook invited into the dorm.
Jungkook trusts Taehyung. He curls himself as close as he can against his hyung and lets his eyes close. Taehyung can tell Jungkook’s asleep when raspy, congested snores fill the air. The maknae’s face softens as he slips further into sleep.
Taehyung turns on the TV for white noise but allows himself to drift off along with Jungkook. A loud knocking on the front door startles him from his sleep. He’s not expecting anyone, and anyone who would need to be there would have a key. But the knocking is persistent. He doesn’t want to wake Jungkook, so he quickly sneaks away from the couch to answer it.
When he opens the door, a paper bag is shoved into his arms and the delivery driver runs from the doorstep. He's watching dumbfounded as the small car speeds away from the dorm. He carries the bag back to the living room and opens the contents. Inside there’s two containers of jook, still warm. He didn’t order them. As he continues to dig through the bag, he finds a note in his oldest hyung’s handwriting:
For our sick little dongsaengs. Enjoy.
Love, your hyungs
Also, we will be staying in the old dorm until you two are done being sick. Call if you need anything delivered.
Taehyung rolls his eyes. It’s going to be a long week of looking after Jungkook while fighting through his own cold. At least they will have each other to snuggle with in their collective misery. “EEEHHH-shu” Taehyung pitches forward with a loud sneeze. He checks to see if Jungkook stirs, but the maknae doesn’t move at all.
The older vocalist blows his nose and pulls out his phone. ‘More tissues, lots of them’ he texts Seokjin before he gets a spoon for his jook. He sets the second container aside for when Jungkook wakes up and rejoins Jungkook on the couch.
A/N: As always, thanks for reading to the end! Feedback is always appreciated. And please let me know if I missed any tags or TWs. Please call me out for any errors you notice!

Lost On A Road Trip - Part: 4
Part: 1
Part: 2
Part :3
TW: Nausea , V*** etc
LET'S GO!
Sickie: yoongi
Caretaker: Seokjin and Namjoon
_____________________________
Namjoon woke up. He sat up in the shared bed. him yg and Jin all had to sleep in one bed it was the only room available in the hotel. They were lucky to find somewhere to sleep at all. He got up and put his phone on the charger. Jin began to wake up as well. Watching namjoon as he put all the boy's phones on chargers. He sat back down on the bed once he was done. Jin speaks with a groggy voice. what are we gonna do now? Namjoon huffs. "We should call the manager once one of the phones comes back on and uhh..." he looks over to yoongi. Yoongi was still sleeping laying on his side. " get some breakfast for yoongi" I really don't think he was just car sick, he also passed out" " he threw up a lot namjoon looked back at Jin. " well, Jin's eyes look back to namjoons direction. Jin takes a deep breath before speaking. " He's said before that when he's carsick or airsick that his nausea lingers for a bit. jin sits up from his previous laying position.
"I suppose so." Namjoon answers. Namjoons eyes shift to yoongi. Jin follows his eyes as well curious to see what's going on. Yoongi was sitting up from bed. he had woken up from all the talking. He was a little grumpy that they woke him. but Yoongi had a more concerning problem on his hands. He was gonna puke.
Yoongi calmly gets up from the bed and walks straight to the bathroom. Namjoon and Jin could see that Yoongi eyes were quenched as tho the light was too bright. The boys could tell he was annoyed and that something was bothering him. There was something namjoon almost missed yoongi do while he briskly walked to the bathroom. Yoongi put his hand on his stomach just as he was out of their line of sight. Well, almost, namjoon caught him holding his stomach. Jin gets up from the bed and walks to his phone. He hears yoongi close and looks at the bathroom door.
JIn and namjoon both look at each other. Jin goes back to turning on his phone leaving it on the charger. It lit up and he was able to check his messages. he had at least 50 plus calls from the members and the manager. The other members were all worried.
"I'm gonna call the manager," he says to namjoon. He does so quickly. Joon is watching jin as he does so but hears the sink turn on in the bathroom.
_______ yoongi's pov__________
Yoongi felt an ache in his stomach and nausea hit him like a bus. He couldn't really lay down any longer and try to sleep he had to get to the bathroom he was gonna puke. Plus Namjoon and Jin were talking so loudly it was hard to. He sat up, eyes still closed. He wanted so desperately to keep them shut but he had to know where he was going while he walked.
He kept his eyes squinched the light feeling like it was attacking his head. The walk to the bathroom felt so long. He was focusing on a gag that was stuck in his throat. His stomach cramped. It was sore but it was just as nauseous as it was in the care. his head began to pound from the force of his swallowing. He began to walk briskly. He waited up till he was just about inside the bathroom to hold his stomach not wanting the others to see or worry.
He sat in front of the toilet and waited. His mouth watered and he could feel it coming. He gaged. nothing. He was a bit disappointed. He hoped to get it over with so he could let the nausea go away. he gagged again still nothing. nausea only worsens with every passing moment. He held on tightly to his stomach. Yoongi pressed down hoping to get something up.
His stomach ceased and clenched still nothing. He was still nasiou. He was left with an ache in his skull from the focus of gagging. He had a migraine. That explained why he woke up feeling so bad and why the lights are killing him.
____________ end of pov___________________
Jin speaks with the manager. the manager expresses his concerns and tells them what they need to do now. The manager also sends extra money they had to convert it since Korean won wouldn't be accepted anywhere in this country. The manager said that once they find their location he'd send people to come and get them. He told them, for now, to take care of themselves and to stay safe. The manager says that he will call them again with more information.
Jin was relieved to know that manager had things under control. The only thing they need to do is to be safe and give them their location. but for now, they'd start with breakfast. Jin was absolutely starving.
Jin hangs up the phone and relays the message to namjoon. He wants to do the same to yoongi to let him know what was going on but he was still in the bathroom. Jin decides to knock on the bathroom door. He just wanted to make sure yoongi was alright.
"Yoongi! You alright in there?" Jin asked knocking on the door repeatedly. " There was only the sound of running water. And then a weak-sounding reply. " Yeah hung I'm alright!" Jin wasn't so sure about that.
Yoongi was now hovering over the sink throwing cold water on his face. He raised his mouth a few times as well nausea still resonated in his stomach. He hadn't thrown up but he still had a gross taste in his mouth. His stomach was achy and sore. Just like before.
Jin and namjoon prepared themselves to go find breakfast. They decided they would go to the hotel's free breakfast downstairs. They put on the shoes and grabbed the only things they had on them which were wallets and the jackets they had on.
They waited patiently for yoongi to get out of the bathroom. yoongi was a bit sluggish but he was finally out. Jin " jokingly asked what took him so long. My stomach was hurting. yoongi says bluntly not really lying but avoiding the truth. JIn left him alone after that and they headed stairs via the elevator. the elevator's lights were far too bright for yoongi's eyes he held on to his temples. the movement also jostled his stomach. Namjoon saw everything. Namjoon asked. " Do you have a migraine hyung?" look down at yoongi. " Yeah" yoongi answered but that's all he says.
they got to the kitchen buffet area of the hotel. It was quite nice. They had lots of options. yoongi was not interested in eating he only wanted sleep. He told Namjoon and Jin that he was gonna sit down for a moment. Yoongi went and found a table for three. He sat down and rested his head on the table.
JIn and Namjoon grabbed everything in sight. They also grabbed something light and easy to eat for yoongi. They knew he wasn't feeling great but he had to eat to get better.
They came and sat at the table yoongi picked out. Yoongi lifts his aching head. Namjoon and Jin covered the table with plates of food. Jin takes the plate they put together for yoongi in front of him.
"We can pick up some medication from the store after you eat. namjoon had already started eating. JIn dug in too. Yoongi sat there with his hands in his lap staring down at the plate that contained toast, grits, and yogurt along with a plastic cup of fruit. Yoongi knew he wasn't going to be able to eat all that. He didn't even eat breakfast on a regular morning back at home.
Jin notices that yoongi has had a single bite of his food. "yoongi eat some." " so you can have something on your stomach I know you're hungry." Yoongi wasn't the slightest bit hungry but he picked up his spoon. he knew JIn would be upset if he didn't try. Yoongi picks up the spoon.
Namjoon finishes his food. Joon sits and waits for the others to finish. " Come on yoons just a little more. " Yoongi was absolutely stuffed he couldn't have one more bight or it comes straight back up. He can already feel the food swirl in his stomach. " Hyung I really can't have anymore." Jin didn't want him feeling worse so he dropped it. Namjoon stands. "Alright then if everyone is ready! let's go get yoongi some meds. " " ok but let's ask the front desk person for the location and name of the hotel so I can text it to the manager.
Alright, then they all got up and left the table. Yoongi's stomach dropped when he stood up. that wasn't a very good sign. a strong wave of nausea surged threw him. He held on to his stomach. His head pounds once again. The migraine made everything ten times worse.
Once they made it to the desk Namjoon asked the front desk lady what the name of the hotel was and what was the place called. The front desk person spoke broken English. but they managed to give the information needed. Yoongi began to feel extremely sick while they were talking. like SUPER sick. yoongi pulls on Jin's coat like a little kid to get his hyungs attention. "namjoon? ask where the bathroom " Namjoons mind went blank he was a bit confused. " Just ask joon!" Jin had figured out why yoongi needed the bathroom
namjoon asked the lady, "Uhh where's your bathro- " Yoongi gagged into the palm of his hand. he could barely keep control of his stomach. what more could go wrong Yoongi though.

Okay yall. I quit trying to make this perfect. I'm well aware it's a little rough around the edges, and I'm also well aware not everyone will like it. Nonetheless, here’s my community service to the sickie bangtan lovers for this year <3
Drabble fic is below the cut. Thanks for waiting patiently! I truly hope you enjoy this pure indulgence lmao.
Title: one stormy night
Word count: 2.2k
Ship: namjinkook - caretakers namjin, sickie jungkook
Tropes: sickfic, fluff, lil bit of snz, basic flu symptoms (the good stuff ya know)
Set in a random AU where Namjin are lovers who own a small shop, Jin is a healer, Namjoon is a mage, and Jungkook is just struggling, ill stranger who manages to fall head over heels in love with his saviors, whilst namjin also fall hard lol.
Seokjin was startled abruptly at the sound of the iron knocker pounding the front door, pausing his job of drawing the drapes for the evening. He and his lover, Namjoon, shared a small cottage in the middle of the woods that was outfitted into a potion shop for the neighboring villagers.
It was well passed their closing time, and Jin knew they didn’t have any appointments on file this late in the day. His stomach clenched with nerves as his gaze shifted to his husband’s usual position by the hearth. “I’ll get the door,” he softly said, making his way over to gently coax Namjoon back down to sit in the armchair. “You had a lot of spells today. Rest a while, I can handle this.”
It was getting late, he was exhausted from a long day’s work, and he didn’t know who was pounding on the door. It would be easy to become frustrated and get rid of whoever beckoned them, but Jin wasn’t heartless. It was storming outside, and maybe someone needed help. The healer in him wouldn’t let someone in need fend for themselves, and he would much rather waste some time than have regrets in his consciousness.
Pulling his evening robes further across himself to help defend the evening chill, Jin released the deadlock and the binding spell on the door, cautiously opening it a crack to peer outside. An unfamiliar silhouette greeted him, though it was difficult to perceive little else due to the heavy rainfall.
“Good evening, stranger,” Jin’s eyes ghosted over the heavily soaked man before him, an oversized hood covering his features dripping rapidly as the rain continued to pour down relentlessly. “I’m afraid we haven't met before, is there something I can do for you?”
“Please,” came the drenched strangers’ reply. “I’m just trying to make it to eastern lands.” Jin took mental note of the thick rasp and nasally tone in his voice. “I just need a roof to block this storm for an hour or so. I’m very weary from traveling.” The stranger didn’t make any move to invade their cottage of his own volition, and he was leaning heavily against their meager porch post for support to stay upright.
The poor dear. Squinting in a fruitless attempt to see better through the storm, Jin took note of the stranger’s trembling frame, his soaked clothing underneath the heavy travel cloaks, and the poorly fitted boots on his feet. He’s been traveling for a long while, weeks at the very least.
“You’re welcome to come in and dry off for as long as you need,” a soft smile adorned Jin’s features as he reached out to help support the traveler’s weak frame for the short distance inside. “We haven’t got much to offer in means of transportation to the east, but you must at least rest here a while. You’re soaked through.” A familiar pang of sympathy pulsed through his heart.
Jin’s own clothing was becoming rather damp just holding the stranger’s underarms, it couldn’t have been comfortable in the slightest to travel through this disastrous weather heavily weighed down by wet cloaks.
At the sound of the door shutting behind them, Namjoon stood up abruptly, eyes narrowed skeptically onto the hooded stranger, but he made no move to turn him away either. Jin nodded in silent thanks for his husband’s trust, as the two made their way slowly across the foyer. "A traveler needs a place to rest tonight. Help me tend to him, Joonie?"
Catching him by surprise as he was speaking, Jin nearly tripped over himself when the stranger suddenly bent over, a series of thick, painful coughs erupting from deep within his chest. As he fought to pull in a deep breath, Jin gently tugged back his hood to better inspect the ailments plaguing him.
And - oh. What an absolute darling. The gentle scrunch of his nose, the soft doe eyes crinkled in irritation as the worst of the coughing fit passed. His cheeks were flushed from the cold air, and the fringe of his bangs dripped with rain water as they hung in front of his eyes. He was beautiful. Jin had only ever had eyes for Namjoon, but the sweet one before him brought up emotions bubbling within that he had not felt before. He always did get attached easily.
No matter though, he had a job to do, and the stranger needed medical attention regardless of his mysterious beauty. Jin was a professional, and he would tend to whatever ailment was present.
“That cough sounds awful, dear,” Jin spoke softly as he made to undo the poorly tangled cloak ties. “You can call me Jin-hyung, what would you like me to call you?”
“Jungkook is my name,” the little one managed to rasp out and Jin hardly concealed a wince at the painful sound of crackling phlegm in his throat. “I don’t mind what you call me though. I don’t have any means to pay, I’m sorry.”
Jungkook’s eyes were glistening with unshed emotion, and he was sniffling thickly, pawing at his nose and eyes desperately in obvious irritation.
Another pang of sympathy shot through Jin’s heart at the sight of tears, but before he could utter another word, Namjoon was already stepping around him to help Jungkook settle into an empty cot by the healer’s table. Jin easily recognized the look in the mage’s eyes as one of empathy and adoration. They were both so utterly hopeless.
“That’s quite alright, Jungkookie, you needn’t worry about such affairs,” Namjoon spoke in a soft whisper. “You can call me Namjoon hyung. Just lie back, and we will take good care of you. I promise.”
A mixed array of confusion and relief flooded Jungkook’s sweet features, and he blinked several times, allowing a few stray tears to trickle down his cheeks. “Thank you hyungs, I’m afraid I’m not well,” he briefly paused speaking as his breathing caught roughly, a small trembling hand still rubbing harshly at his nose. “It’s been weeks and this head cold just isn’t going away. My travels have just made everything w-worse…oh…e-excuse me,” His lovely eyelids fluttered shut, as several productive sneezes ripped out of his chapped nose, chest heaving wildly in a desperate attempt to quell his breathing back to normal. Jungkook let out a shuttering sigh afterward, teary eyes darting away from the healer every so shyly. “Pardon me, please. I can’t seem to stop sneezing.”
“Oh sweetheart,” Jin cooed gently, reaching out to wipe his messy nose with a handkerchief. “Sounds like a little more than a nasty cold to me. I’m a trained healer, and Namjoonie here is a mage. I’ll check you over and see if we can’t get some medicine and hot soup into you by the end of the hour.” His gentle, calculated hands were tenderly pulling Jungkook’s soaked downshirt off, Namjoon already having started freeing him of his trousers.
“We need to get you out of these wet clothes and bundled up to dry by the fire,” Jin wrapped a soft, cotton towel around Jungkook’s trembling frame, and the relief on his face was so genuinely innocent, that he felt his own emotions stirring up. “Joonie, dear, if you wouldn’t mind putting the kettle to boil, fetching me some blankets and a clean nightshift, please.”
Jungkook was finding it harder to pay attention to Jin’s words than it should’ve been. Time seemed to slow down as he lost the ability to function properly. His breathing was becoming labored and that ever-present aching in his chest was becoming a harsh sting now. When did it get so warm? Or was it cold? He couldn’t tell anymore.
He had begun to slouch so low into himself, and his eyes were starting to close tiredly. Jin gently pressed the back of his hands to Jungkook’s cheeks and neck, humming softly at the detection of his obvious temperature. The poor dear, so very exhausted from traveling ill. “It’s quite alright if you fall asleep now, sweetheart. Just lie back down, I’ll wake you when I have medicine for you to take.”
As if by order of Jin’s permission, Jungkook’s consciousness slowly slipped into a light doze, long past the point of exhaustion. His breathing evened down to labored short puffs of stuffy air, nose scrunched up ever so sweetly into a sleepy, ticklish expression. It only had been movements, but Jin’s heart was entirely stolen.
At the younger’s slip into a fitful sleep, Jin made quick work of checking his vitals, throat, nose, and ears - getting a specific reading on his rising temperature, a worrying one, no less. Namjoon was back a few moments after he finished pulling a thick comforter up over Jungkook’s sleeping form.
“Water just started boiling hyung,” he whispered as he placed a stack of wool blankets and a silken shift on the armchair. “Want me to fill a basin of hot water and get some ailment tea brewed?”
Jin’s eyes softened even further at his lover, unable to look stressed even in the face of the ill young one beside himself. “That would be lovely, Joonie, thank you. Help me dress him first?”
-------------------------------------------------------
Jungkook’s head felt heavy, dizzyingly so. There was also a nauseating spin of the room from lying horizontally as his ill body fought to stay sleeping. He didn’t know how long he’d been dozing off, time was passing unawares to him, though it didn’t feel near long enough before his consciousness was slipping back in. An irritating tickle was forming deep in his sinuses, whilst, unfortunately, his little nose scrunches were doing little to fight back. Having no wherewithal to cover, Jungkook released a flurry of wet, desperate sneezes into the firm chest next to him.
“Oh Jungkookie,” Namjoon softly cooed from above. “Blessings, you sound so poorly.” He was poorly, what a gods sent gift the hyungs shop was nearby. Sniffling desperately to contain the productive wetness that was now beneath his nose, Jungkook felt his eyes well up once more.
“My handkerchief is wet.” He whined softly, words muffled into the sweet hyung cradling him. He needed something to cover with, he needed to sneeze again. And what a tragedy it was indeed because the tickle persisted despite the fit he had just released previously. Damn, his ever-sensitive nose. Always getting in the way of comfort.
“I can’t blow my nose… and I need to…” He trailed off breathily, already starting to work his way into a hitch. A shuffling of movement briefly distracted his gasping speech, as his face was suddenly covered in a warm, large bundle of soft fabric. “Here, sweetie. All yours.” Jungkook felt Namjoon’s deep voice reverberate through his whole being, though perhaps that was also the fever chills shaking him through.
Noting he was now pressed against bare skin, not a cotton downshirt, his brain fumbled to keep up with the fact that he was presently leaking tears and mucus all over Namjoon’s shirt. He wasn’t thinking, the logical part of his brain long past gone, in the throes of his current predicament. If he had been, perhaps the prospect of using another man’s shirt in lieu of a handkerchief would’ve been embarrassing. One he had scarcely just met, no less. But he didn’t even have time for that. His eyes were watering, mouth falling open in desperate breaths, his nose burning ever so badly as it teased his need for release. Instead of granting him relief, though, the hitching just made him cough harshly, once again, all over Namjoon.
“Let’s get you in some dry clothes, sweetie,” Namjoon muttered, gently combing his hands through the young man’s hair. “I have a nice, warm nightshift right here for you.”
All Jungkook could seem to muster out was a small moan in response, shaky and once again, hitched, as he pawed at his nose in sleepy annoyance. “I know Jungkookie, almost there. I’m sorry, I know it’s chilly. Just gotta get this over your head now…there we go, left arm first, good boy.“ Was that Jin’s voice now? The feeling of cold air fading into warm silk on his skin caused a raspy whine to come out of his mouth before his thoughts even caught up. “It’s okay, it’s okay. All done.” Definitely Jin.
Despite the warm, dry clothing covering him now, chills racked his body relentlessly. It didn’t take but a few more hitching breaths before his face scrunched up in a defeated flurry of congested sneezes. “Bless you, little one. Come on, blow for me,” Jin whispered from his left, the down shirt coming back up to cover most of his face. Jungkook was ever obedient though, so he managed to huff out a thick blow at Jin's discretion. Gods this shirt was going to be so gross. Poor Namjoon. “There we go, all better. Good job, Jungkookie.” For someone whose shirt was now a makeshift hanky, Namjoon’s voice sounded awfully pleased with him.
A flush dusted his cheeks as he glanced up at both men in pure adoration, one not having to do with his fever. But the hyungs didn’t need to know that. Soft wool blankets were quickly wrapped around his shoulders, and he let out a relieved sigh when his feet were placed in a basin of hot water. The trembling didn’t stop, nor did the deep aches in his body, but the sudden warmth and Namjoon and Jin’s presence were enough to let him doze off for a while. He was safe. And for now, that was enough.

Energy boost
Sickie: Taehyung
Caretaker: Jungkook
TW: emeto
Taehyung woke up tired today. He didn't sleep the best and just feels overall sluggish. Taehyung can usually hide that he's tired and is good at covering up his yawning in public. But he just hates that feeling weighing him down. They're filming a short dance number for army today and he needs a lot of stamina.
Taehyung doesn't like coffee at all and doesn't understand how Yoongi can drink so much of it. He can't stand the smell or the taste. He's trying to think of another quick fix and wound up buying an energy drink. It's strawberry flavored so he figured he'd try it.
"Since when do you drink energy drinks?" Yoongi teases.
"It tastes better than that burnt hot bean water" Taehyung sasses playfully.
"Maybe, but coffee doesn't make you crash like those do" Yoongi smirks.
Taehyung found it tasted pretty sweet; a little too sweet from what's he's used to but he drank half of it and already feels a little more perky. It gives him more hope about the day. When finished his stomach feels.. weird. He drank that pretty fast. His stomach gurgles with the fizzy drink bubbling up. He burps and pauses for a minute. He feels the caffeine kicking in and rushes to get prepared.
The guys stand in position and Taehyung tries to stay still. He's all jittery and his stomach keeps going off. He doesn't know if anyone else can hear it and palms it cautiously.
"Everyone in place!"
The music starts playing and the choreography is fast pace. Taehyung's body keeps up with the movements but he regrets having that energy drink. The liquid swishes and sloshes inside his stomach with each jump and turn. It feels like his stomach is a bottle being shaken and bubbling up, ready to go off. But he can't stop now, they're halfway through the song. Then his stomach burbles and Taehyung stumbles and hiccups, almost tripping.
"Cut!" They all stop and look at him.
"Tae, why'd you stop?" Hoseok asks.
Taehyung wants to say his stomach hurts but doesn't want to throw off the day. He already messed up and doesn't want people getting mad at him. "I-I'm fine--" *he burps mid sentence.* Taehyung covers his mouth, flustered.
They all look at him strange. Yoongi is looking with concern. That wasn't exactly a small sized can he chugged.
"Ugh, sorry.. I'm sorry, I can keep going." Taehyung says quickly. He just wants to get through this.
"Hmm okay, let's try again" Hoseok gestures them to walk back to starting position. Taehyung puts a fist to his mouth and descretely burps again. He wants to think it helps but isn't sure. His stomach feels queasy and he worries he'll throw up instead. The cameras are going again and he definitely doesn't want that.
On the second take Taehyung isn't as fast, his stomach hurts with all the movements and sloshing. His body can't handle it and his stomach lurches. Taehyung hiccups again and bends over, holding his abdomen. Suddenly he belches and his stomach opens the floodgates, spewing out a fast large wave.
"Whoa Tae!" Jimin and Jungkook jump back, they were closest to him and just missed getting splashed. Taehyung can't say anything as his stomach is still forcing out it's contents.
The music stops and everyone is shocked at what just happened. Namjoon waves at the staff to stop the cameras and the members run to Taehyung. Taehyung falls to his knees clutching his middle. He sighs in disbelief but his stomach cuts him off with another hard retch. He pants and looks at the pink puddle on the floor. "Ugh, why did I have that?" Taehyung mutters.
Yoongi looks at the young vocalist sympathetically. "It's okay Tae, it could've happened to anyone."
Taehyung feels ridiculous and thought forsure they would scold him but everyone was benevolent and understanding.
-------
Taehyung wasn't thrilled about the car ride back. His stomach's still complaining after all that vomiting. He tries to rub it but he's so tired. Whenever the car hits a bump or a turn his stomach gurgles, making him moan quietly.
"Awwh hyung, that drink really upset your tummy huh?" Jungkook put his hand on Taehyung's stomach. Taehyung just nods as his sick stomach churns. Jungkook wants to help it and starts rubbing lightly "how does this feel?"
Taehyung hums approvingly, letting JK take over. The maknae's hands feel so nice. Taehyung yawns and leans on Jungkook closing his eyes. He's crashing. Jungkook looks and smiles fondly, shifting a bit to make it more comfortable.

Too feverish to think + waking up puking
Fandom: BTS
Sickie: Yoongi
Caregivers: Jin & Namjoon
@monthofsick
TW: emeto, real person fiction
No one’s POV.:
Yoongi didn’t remember how many hours he had already spent at the studio. He had gone there right after their dance practice session, still wearing his sweaty practice clothes. That was also why he wasn’t all that surprised when he started to feel a little chilled. Putting on his hoodie, Yoongi used the cuff of his sleeve to wipe the sweat off his forehead. It was certainly weird to be sweating while goosebumps had spread down his arms but he didn’t think much of it. Producing didn’t come easy today either, the screen repeatedly blurring in front of his eyes. Maybe he should take a break. It had already been a long day, so it wasn’t all that shocking that he struggled to focus but Yoongi knew he had deadlines to meet, so it wasn’t all his choice.
He eventually accepted that he wouldn’t get much time for the time being, so he shakily got out of his chair and laid down on the small couch. His practice clothes stuck to his body but he couldn’t be bothered to change them. Maybe if he rested his eyes for a little while, the headache would go away and he could actually make some progress. Sure, the couch wasn’t the best option for Yoongi’s sore body but you take what you can get. A soft groan slipped from his lips when his head hit the cushion. Yeah, he really needed a nap.
When Yoongi woke up again, everything felt off. His vision was blurry and he barely managed to lift his head. There was a thumping pain behind his brow and a trickle of sweat ran from his temple. He needed water! Yoongi’s arms shook from the exertion when he pushed himself up, his vision going dark for a moment. Drawing a sharp breath, he swallowed down the nausea and got to his feet. Yoongi staggered to his desk and picked up the water bottle, only to realize he had emptied it earlier. Tears stung his eyes because his throat was so unbearably dry, he really needed a drink. He did have a few bottles in his mini fridge at the studio but goosebumps already pricked at his skin, so he knew having a cold drink would probably make him feel worse.
In the end, his thirst won and Yoongi uncapped one of the bottles, wincing at the cold condensation under his fingers. The first dew sips felt nice on his throat. So nice, in fact that he couldn’t stop himself from finishing the whole bottle despite the chill running down his spine. By the time Yoongi finished his drink, he was shivering incessantly and he could hear the water glugging in his stomach, the organ cramping painfully. He knew he shouldn’t have drank something so cold and especially not this much, the cold water not settling at all.
It didn’t take long for Yoongi to start shaking violently as the cramps morphed into nausea. The cold water had been a grave mistake and although his throat didn’t hurt anymore, it felt weird. Pushing away from the desk, he staggered to the door of his studio. For a moment, Yoongi weakly clung to the door frame in an attempt to regain his balance but with his stomach twisting angrily, he knew he had to hurry. Wincing as the bright ceiling lights aggravated his headache, he stumbled down the hallway and cursed the floor for moving under his feet. His hand trailing against the wall was barely enough to keep him upright as his ears started to ring. Yoongi felt his stomach gurgle and forced himself forward despite the ringing in his ears overtaking everything else and his vision growing fuzzy around the edges. His legs didn’t want to cooperate though and only a moment later, everything turned black.
Namjoon sighed as he exited the meeting he had had with their management. He was impressed how much people could talk about irrelevant things. Sure, he knew that a lot of work had to be done behind the scenes for their group to function and be successful but some of it felt unnecessary. Still, he wouldn’t miss it, who else would be there to advocate for his group? Namjoon was still deep in thought as he trudged to his studio and only noticed the crumpled figure in the hallway when he almost tripped over him. “Hyung?!”, the leader gasped, dropping to one knee next to Yoongi. Shaking the rapper’s arm, Namjoon eventually earned a weak groan. He startled when Yoongi shot up and tried to gently hold the older down, so he wouldn’t black out again. Harshly twisting to the side, Yoongi’s breath caught in his throat as a large wave of watery vomit gushed from his lips.
Though surprised, Namjoon wrapped his arm around Yoongi’s shoulders and steadied him as he choked up more. The rapper’s sleeve had taken the brunt of it, the soiled fabric clinging to his arm. Panting, Yoongi spat into the puddle but couldn’t get rid of the string of saliva dangling from his lips. “Hang on, I got you”, Namjoon shushed, pulling out a tissue. He carefully wiped the other’s lips and chin, humming: “You seemed okay during practice earlier. What happened since then?” The leader didn’t get any reaction and wasn’t sure Yoongi had heard him at all.
The rapper’s breath came in quick, little as his eyes filled with tears. So much was happening, yet his brain couldn’t keep up. His mind was so foggy and slow, he couldn’t comprehend why he was sitting in the hallway. All he knew was that he felt awful and his sleeve felt disgusting against his skin, which didn’t help the nausea at all. “Talk to me, hyung”, Namjoon frowned as he felt heat seep through Yoongi’s hoodie, needing increasingly more strength to keep the older upright, “What’s going on? You’re burning with fever.” Still unable to formulate a reply, Yoongi huffed a nauseous breath and forced himself to swallow the saliva pooling in his mouth.
Seeing that his inquiry wouldn’t go anywhere and he probably would get Yoongi to the bathroom by himself, Namjoon pulled out his phone and called Jin. Within only a couple of minutes, the eldest jogged down the hallway, heart racing at the pitiful state his oldest dongsaeng was in. Yoongi was still too feverish to think but dizzily stumbled along when Jin and Namjoon hoisted him to his feet and pulled him to the restroom. The rapper whimpered hoarsely as Jin stripped off his soiled hoodie, his sore muscles protesting the slightest movement. “You’ll be okay, Yoongi-ah”, the older shushed, settling Yoongi on the floor with his back against the wall, afraid his legs would give out and him hurting himself if he fell.
Namjoon had gone to get Yoongi some water and alert the cleaning staff, while Jin ran some paper towels under the tap to wipe off the other’s arm. When he was satisfied that he had cleaned Yoongi’s arm to the best of his ability, Jin soaked a fresh bunch of paper towels with cold water and pressed them to the rapper’s burning forehead. Sitting there shirtless, with a cold compress pressed to his face, Yoongi shivered violently but he didn’t want Jin to pull away. The headache was more bearable today with the cold paper towels on his forehead, so when the older removed them, he breathed: “No….” His hyung didn’t seem to get it, so he reached out a trembling hand. “Let me just run them under the tap again”, Jin whispered, cupping Yoongi’s flushed cheek, “Can you tell me how you feel?” – “I… don’t know”, the younger slurred, tongue feeling thick and heavy, “Awful… slow.” – “Yeah, you’re running a bad fever, so it’s probably hard to think right now”, Jin agreed and the rapper nodded in confirmation, immediately regretting the motion as it sent his head spinning.
“I still had a spare sweater at my studio, so the chills should hopefully ease up soon”, Namjoon announced as he entered the restroom. Uncapping the water bottle, he handed it to Yoongi, who cringed but forced down a few small sips. It helped his abused throat but only for a before he pitched forward with a retch. Clamping his hands over his paling lips, Yoongi shot Jin a panicked look, the older rushing to pass him the small waste bin. He choked up a few smaller waves, his stomach not tolerating the water in the slightest, before being reduced to dry heaves.
Namjoon draped some cold paper towels across the back of Yoongi’s neck, humming: “Let’s try that again later once your stomach calmed down a little.” – “How are we going to get him home?”, Jin asked quietly, “I also don’t really want him to be alone while he’s too feverish to think. If we talk to management and can convince them that I should take the day off too, so I can watch over him, I’ll take him back to my place for the time being.” – “He’s most definitely not going to stay alone”, the leader agreed. With the way he had found Yoongi, Namjoon wouldn’t take any risks.
While Namjoon called their manager, Jin replaced the cold compresses on Yoongi’s forehead and neck to hopefully lower his fever a bit. “You’ll come with me, okay? You’ve stayed in my guest bedroom before and I’d like to keep am eye on you”, Jin whispered as he played with Yoongi’s hair, “I’ll make you some tea and if you manage to keep down at least a few bites of plain rice, I can give you something for the fever. The haziness should clear up too once your temperature is down.” The younger could barely keep up with his hyung’s words but his voice was soothing and the fact that he sounded like he had a plan reassured the sick rapper. They had been friends for long enough for Yoongi to know Jin would take good care of him, so it was easy to give up responsibility to him, at least for the time being.
Jin kept his promise and brewed a pot of tea after tucking Yoongi in under a thin sheet. When he returned, he carried not only the tea but also an icepack wrapped in a tea towel. Yoongi sighed in relief when the icepack soothed his pounding headache and relaxed further into the mattress. “The rice will be done soon, just let me know when you feel like you can stomach it”, Jin smiled before fetching a bucket for safety reasons, knowing how guilty Yoongi would feel if he ended up making a mess. Stroking the rapper’s cheek, Jin whispered: “I’ll let you sleep. You look like you need it.”

hi! I'd love to see a jungkook sickfic, but now that I'm here to request I don't actually have anything specific to request 😂 maybe jungkook with a cold and sope (or ot7) as caretakers? thank youuu :)
Word count: 1.3k
Sickie: Jungkook
Caretakers: Sope, Hoseok mostly(?)
Uhhhhh so sorry if this doesn’t meet expectations. First time writing JK-centric ( ✌︎'ω')✌︎
Coughing every few minutes was not supposed to be on the agenda for the day.
Or, really, the general cloudiness of his head and the exhaustion that came along with it.
Well, he could do without any of this. He would gladly hand the mental receipt back to the person who had passed on whatever the hell this was to him with a “no regifting!” as he dashed away.
He blamed this on the colder weather of Seoul at the moment. Or maybe he should blame Taehyung, who was the one to shove a snowball down his shirt last night when they were outside driving a golf cart (read: telling Sejin they would do yard work but … well, obviously not doing it) as close to a lake as possible without being on the lake.
Don’t try that at home.
Anyways, he reached for a tissue, sitting up slightly, but he slammed his hand onto his nightstand by mistake. He let out a yelp, both in surprise and pain, which then further injured his poor, sore throat.
“Kook, there’s waffles!” Jin shouted from the hallway, knocking on his door slightly. “If you’re not out here in, say, five minutes, Tae’s gonna eat them all.”
The “again” was unspoken.
Jin’s footsteps echoed down the hallway as he headed back towards the kitchen. Jungkook willed himself to sit up, erupting into another fit of coughing. Sniffling, he finally got the tissue he wanted. With a wet blow (he cringed at the feeling between his fingertips), his nose was finally as clear as it could be given the unfortunate circumstances.
Yeah no, he was too congested for this shit. Waffles could wait.
He layed back down and pulled the blanket over his head, which did not help his current predicament but at least if he suffocated, no one had to see his snotty, red face at first glance when they walked into his room.
“Hey, are you awake?” It was Taehyung knocking at the door this time. “We’re still going to steal that road sign today, right?”
Oh shit, that was today, wasn’t it?
“Uhhhh … gimme a sec!”
Ignoring the cries of his brain yelling “Stop! Stop! Don’t get up, you fool!,” he rolled out of the bed as quick as he could, meaning that he hit the floor and layed unmoving for a second as he contemplated if this was truly worth it (which it was because who wouldn’t want a road sign?).
“Come outside when you’re ready! I’m gonna go have waffles.” Taehyung scampered away from the door and down the hallway, where he (judging by the noises) ran into an unsuspecting Namjoon, probably knocking over their gorgeous, sexy leader.
He felt the smallest tickle in his nose and he rubbed at it. He was fine. He could still go with his hyung for that animal crossing sign. He could deal with this. It didn’t at all feel like a fire spreading through his sinuses.
He was fine.
And hungry.
But his throat hurts soooo …
Finally mustering the willpower to stand up, he stumbled out his bedroom door with a handful of tissues and plopped himself in the open seat next to Hoseok.
Act normal. Act normal. They can’t suspect a thing.
“Hi Hobi-hyung!”
What do I do … what do I do … Oh I usually sniff Hobi-hyung cause he smells good. What does this man even bathe in? Actual sunshine? Nah … if he did that he would probably burn. Or maybe not, since it’s Hobi-hyung. If it were Yoongi-hyung or Taehyung, they would be burned back to hell.
Oh. That's the brain fog.
Okay, just sniff his hair. Be normal.
Jungkook face-planted into Hoseok’s shoulder, sending the both of them tumbling into Namjoon (for the second time in ten minutes, poor guy).
“Ah! Jungkookie, are you alright?” Hoseok had caught Jungkook and Namjoon had caught Hoseok from falling. Damn Gorgeous Namjoon and his big arms.
Oh. Hoseok looked concerned.
He noticed that the rest of the table had gone quiet. But then Taehyung burst into laughter. “Did you guys see that? He fell!”
Seokjin facepalmed. “Now’s not the time, Tae.”
With one side glance, Taehyung was quiet again.
Jungkook looked to Jimin, who was barely even awake, munching on a piece of toast. He had crumbs on his mouth and it made Jungkook kind of want to grab a miniature vacuum and he would have had he not been in his current predicament of Hoseok holding onto him for dear life while Yoongi glared at him because in order to catch him, Hoseok had let go of Yoongi’s hand that he was holding underneath the table.
Nice.
His nose tickles again and he lets out a few harsh sneezes as he quickly presses his nose to his elbow. It hurts and he would honestly much rather his itchy allergy sneezes to whatever this is. Actually, that’s a lie but the point was made.
He feels Hoseok gently pull him up so that he’s sitting in his hyung’s lap. Hoseok feels for a fever but gives a small smile when he feels none. “Guess it’s just a cold, Jungkookie.”
“I’b fide, hyung.” Jungkook insisted, cringing when he heard how congested his voice sounded. He lets out a loud sniffle, cursing the fact that he can’t smell how good Hoseok must smell right now.
“Ah, you’re too sick to attend that clown day camp Taetae said you guys were going to today.” Hoseok said with a frown, running his fingers through Jungkook’s hair.
That’s what Taehyung said they were doing today? Even flat-out saying we took a road sign is better than whatever the fuck clown camp is.
Jin came over to the table with a mug of tea (which Jungkook wrinkled his nose to) and a big bottle of DayQuil.
Suddenly, the tea seemed more appetizing.
“Come on.” Hoseok gently pulled Jungkook up, holding his wrist to drag him along. “Let’s get you back to bed. Yoongi-hyung? Are you coming?”
The eldest rapper hopped to his feet in an effort to do whatever Hoseok asked for. Jungkook hid his snicker. Yoongi was so whipped, especially for Hoseok, but really for all of them. Hoseok opened the door to Jungkook’s mancave bedroom and, ignoring the mess (thoug he did see Hoseok cringe at the pile of dirty laundry), led Jungkook to the bed.
Once he made sure the maknae was situated in bed, Hoseok held his hand out towards Yoongi. The eldest rapper immediately took Hoseok’s slender hand in his larger hand.
“Oh hyung, I wanted you to hand me the medicine for Jungkookie.”
Yoongi turned scarlet red and quickly passed Hoseok the DayQuil. The dancer measured out the correct amount and held the tiny measuring cup to Jungkook’s lips. He quickly took it, shot-style, grimacing at the taste.
The maknae sniffled, his nose running like a leaky faucet. “Hobi-hyung, ca’d you pass m’be a tissue?”
Plucking a few from the box on Jungkook’s nightstand, Hoseok handed him the soft, unscented tissues. It was like heaven on Jungkook’s nose, though they reminded of his current woes. He blew his nose and crumpled up the tissue and threw it towards the trash can in the corner that was slightly overflowing.
Hoseok, with a slightly hidden look of disgust, picked the tissue up from the corner and stuffed it into the trash can.
“I’m tired.” Jungkook grumbled, pulling his blanket over his head after coughing a few times. “And cold.”
“I suppose I could lay here for a bit.” Yoongi stated, moving to climb under the covers.”
“Don’t you dare get in that bed.” Hoseok ordered, giving Yoongi a look.
With his arms raised in defeat, Yoongi sighed and backed out of the room. “Feel better, Kook-ah.”
Hoseok moved the blankets slightly and then with a soft kiss on the forehead, he was gone too.
Yeah, the road sign could wait.

Hi!!
15. 😬🎤💬👀😰🤢😵‍💫🫠🏥😭🤮
(could it be with Taehyung as the sickie and one of the hyung line members as a caretaker? If not that's fine)
‐-------------------‐------‐‐----------------
Sick: Taehyung
Caretaker: Seokjin
Tw: vom**, emeto, passing out, mentions of nausea, stomach pain
Word count: 525
Enjoy!!!!! There's a few more to come!!
‐-------------------‐------‐‐----------------
Taehyung can only describe what he's feeling as jittery. He's buzzing with discomfort, nerves going straight to his stomach. He watches Namjoon say his speech, thanking army's for the award. The lights on stage are so bright, blinding, and making sweat gather on his forehead.
And then some of the others say a few words and meaningful gratitude. Then it's Taehyung's turn and his hands shake as he holds the microphone in the stand. A hand is placed on his shoulder and he goes autopilot.
A combination of trying not to throw up and trying to stay on your feet is... a struggle. "We are s-so lucky to have Army's support!" Taehyung gives a wobbly smile. To most of the audience it's convincing, but every one of his band mates hear the strain in his voice.
Taehyung walks away from the microphone and they leave the stage, when his stomach lurches Taehyung makes a detour to some hallway backstage. Seokjin's worry gets the best of him and he follows the younger.
"Taehyung-ah? What's the matter?" Seokjin says, calling from behind until Taehyung stops in his tracks. He's got a hand to his stomach, pinched expression on his face. He backs against the wall for support, he can barely make out Seokjin's voice or what's happening around him. "Hyung I-I need to sit down." Taehyung says with urgency, black dots dancing in his vision.
"Here, here. Deep breaths," Seokjin ushers Taehyung to sit on the floor, holding the younger's waist. He's looking deathly pale and judging by the hand to his stomach, he feels horriblely sick too. Taehyung blinks slowly, sweat trailing down his back. "M'gonna pass out.." Taehyung says faintly, body lulling to the side.
"Taehyung-ah!" Seokjin mumbles under his breath, softly letting Taehyung lay on the floor. He then sees a staff running over, "we need the medics," Seokjin worries and franticly, the staff retrieves the paramedic team on stand by. The rest is a blur, Taehyung half wakes up and they transport him into a wheelchair, taking him to their medical room.
"Jin-hyung, what's going on? Is Taehyung okay?" Namjoon asks, the rest of the group behind him. "He's passed out, hang on. Let me check with him." Seokjin has to skim past all the other's questions, quickly making his way to the second youngest, watching him get transferred onto a bed.
"Taehyungie," Seokjin says and grabs one of the younger's hands, holding it securely. "Hyung—I'm g-gonna vomit." Taehyung groans, and one of the paramedics have a sick bag on stand by already. "Can we sit him up?" Seokjin asks, holding the bag under Taehyung's chin as they adjust the bed.
Imidiantly Taehyung pukes a wave of water and bile into the sick bag, everyone in the room bustling around as Seokjin strokes up and down the younger's back. "It's okay, baby," Seokjin whispers close to Taehyung as he starts to cry helplessly. "I feel so sick, h-hyung.." Taehyung sobs, spitting up another round of puke.
"Shh, you're going to be fine. You have all these people helping you." Seokjin comforts, catching the members' gazes through the doorway. He will be fine.

Sickie: Seokjin
Caretakers: Namjoon
Prompt: Seokjin has the flu. He feels like he’s going to throw up so he camps out in the bathroom. He’s in there for several hours, nervous to leave because of how ill and nauseous he feels. His entire body aches from the illness and from sitting on the bathroom floor so he finally lets Namjoon convince him to go back to bed. The second he gets into bed is when his stomach finally decides it’s time to bring everything up.

This was written long ago that I planned to edit but decided I'll keep it as is since I'm behind on all my requests and its fitting with the season. This is one I wrote just for me.
Sickie; jungkook, Taehyung and Hobi
Warning; vom!t
Caretaker: ot7
Jungkook gathers leaves as Hobi talks to the camera, doing a bangtan bomb after finishing up their latest photo shoot. He first goes after Namjoon, but he notices him and points to Hobi.
Jungkook smiles mischievously, nodding and shoving the leaves into the back of Hobi's hanbok. He giggled loudly as he bolts towards the woods.
"Get back here, you little punk!" Hobi runs after Jungkook, trying to remove the leaves as he runs after the mankae. Jungkook trips, not able to notice the rabbit hole because of the blanket of leaves, tumbling to the ground.
Hobi tries to skid to a stop, but slips on the leaves, falling on his tailbone. "Aiish.. Jaykay are you hurt?"
"My ankle hurts a bit, but I think I'm okay." Jungkook rolls his ankle, checking to see if it was sprained. "Are you?"
"I'm fine..just a sore bottom..You're such a brat!" Hobi throws leaves at Jungkook.
"Are you guys okay?" Taehyung ran to catch up with them when he heard the crash of them falling, relaxing when he saw Jungkook throw leaves back at Hobi, the two playing.
"Yeah. Just be careful.. it's slippery.. it must've rained recently here.." Hobi warns. "I'm surprised you didn't fall too.."
Taehyung offers his hand to Hobi, but when he tries to pull him up, the older slips on the wet leaves once more, bringing the vocalist down with him. "Aiish!"
"I'm sorry, Taehyungie!" Hobi apologizes, hugging him close. "I'm sorry are you okay?"
"I'm okay.. you helped cushion my fall..Ah Jiminie stay away! Its dangerous!" Taehyung shouts fearful of him suffering the same fate as them when he sees Jimin running to check on them.
"We're okay Jimin-sii. Don't worry!" Jungkook reassures him.
Jimin slows down, relaxing. "I got worried when I heard Tete. What happened?"
"The leaves are slippery.. so I fell chasing Jungkook because he shoved dead leaves down my back." Hobi narrows his eyes with mock anger, throwing more dead leaves at the youngest.
"Rapmonie-hyung encouraged it." Jungkook says with a giggle, tossing the leaves back at him.
"Gukkie you got me too!"Tae whines, shoving a handful of leaves down the front of Jungkook's shirt despite the youngers struggle against it.
"You guys are ruining your outfits." Jimin laughs, nearly falling. "Come on we're supposed to be wrapping up."
"They are wrapped up.. in each other." Jin jokes.
Jimin jumps at the sudden sound of Jin's voice. "Hyung when did you get here?"
"Joon-ah sent me to look for you." Jin replies, smiling fondly at the younger members, seeing Taekook double teaming J-hope, burying him with the autumn leaves as he laughs.
"Okay, I'll pull up Tete. You can pull up Jaykay." Jimin and Jin work together to separate the youngest members.
"It's time to go. We still have practice to do." Jin says, brushing leaves from Jungkook's clothes. "You're soaked.. go change so we can go. All three of you."
"Okay Seokjinnie hyung." Hobi takes Jungkook's hand to pull himself up, everyone leaving to continue the rest of their busy schedule.
"5..6..7..8.." Hobi tried counting over the music, but his voice wasn't carrying as loud as it usually does. He thought nothing of it, just motioning for staff to turn the music down. They've been working nonstop for their new album, and between practice, making the studio recordings, music videos, and photoshoots, he wasn't surprised his throat was getting sore.
The team went over the choreography once more without vocals, then again Jimin started the song strong, but when jungkook tried to follow his voice cracked when he tried to hit the higher notes, coughing.
"Jungkook, are you okay?" Jimin quickly finds him a water bottle.
"My throat hasn't recovered since we recorded.." Jungkook frowns, taking the water from Jimin. "Thanks jimin-sii.."
"Sing at a lower range for now, okay? We'll focus on the timing." Namjoon gives him a sympathic smile. He's been doing vocal lessons on top of recordings.. I should've told him to lay off the lessons until we finished recording..
"Alright, Namjoonie-hyung." Jungkook takes a drink of water, the coolness soothing his throat. "I hope it's better by next week.."
"You should be fine by then as long as you rest your voice as much as possible." Yoongi reassures him.
"I'll make you some tea when we get home." Jin offers, looking at both Jungkook and Hobi. Even if Hobi didn't say it out loud he could hear the strain in his voice.
"Thanks hyungie. That'd be great." Hobi smiles.
The seven members start up practice again, changing notes to be lower for Jungkook. Everything was going smoothly until Hobi started slowing down halfway through the fifth song, wrapping his arm around his middle, making Jungkook smack into him, Hobi losing his balance.
"Are you okay Hyungie? I'm sorry I didn't notice you stopped moving." Jungkook dropped to his knees next to Hobi, checking him for injuries.
"Yeah.. yeah I think I just need to eat something..my stomach started cramping up. I should've had something other than coffee.."
"I'll find you something.." Jimin quickly leaves the room.
"Here, drink some water for now." Yoongi gives Hobi a water bottle, helping him take small sips. "Any better?"
Hoseok nods, relaxing with the pain dies down. "Sorry..I didn't mean to worry you guys.."
Jimin returns to the room with a banana, letting go of the breath he didn't know he was holding when he sees that Hobi was no longer clutching his stomach. "Here Hyungie."
"Thanks Minnie.." Hoba gently peels the banana open, taking a few bites. "I'm feeling better now.. let's take a few minutes break and start again.."
Practice started again and everything was fine for an hour, until another member started showing signs of pain. Taehyungs movements started getting smaller and smaller, until it was unacceptable to Hobi.
"Taehyung-Ah, It's fine to practice like that right before a concert but you have to give it your all right now. I know you're tired but so is everyone else." Hobi scolds him, eyes widening when Taehyung suddenly sits on the ground his knees giving in.
"I'm sorry..i can't move well..my stomach just hurts hyung.." Taehyung whines softly, wrapping his arms around his middle. Hobi feels his stomach drop to the floor, feeling guilty for not noticing how pale or how shaky the husky toned vocalist became.
"What? When did it start hurting?" Yoongi blinks slowly, taken back by Taehyung's sudden confession rushing to his side reaching to touch his bloated stomach, feeling his muscles constrict under his hand. "Aiish Taehyungie.."
"This morning it was a little upset.. I didnt want to complain, especially not after Hobi-hyungie and Jungkook not feeling well either, but I can't do this. It keeps getting worse.."Taehyung says groaning when his stomach gurgles.
"Aiigo, Voo, you should've said something earlier.. You shouldn't push yourself so hard.." Jin sits next to him. How could he have missed how quickly his health declined. "Do you feel like you're gonna throw up?"
"I don't think so.. I just want to lie down and try to sleep the pain away." Taehyung whispers, closing his eyes tightly as another ripple of pain hits.
"I'll get someone to take you home." Jin looks to the staff members.
"Can I go with him, hy..hyung?" Jungkook clears his throat when his voice breaks. "I don't think I can continue singing anyway..it was only high notes before.. but now it's hurting to talk.."
"We could end practice early today." Namjoon suggests. "Jungkook and Taehyung both aren't in good condition and I know everyone else is tired too."
Hobi nods in agreement. He didn't think it was just a lost voice with Jungkook. The young vocalist was also out of breath much quicker than usual, and his voice was weakening at an alarming rate and his own stomach was still aching."We got the choreography perfect today and yesterday. We'll be fine if we cut out a few hours."
Jin and Namjoon lead Taehyung to the bedroom, pulling the blanket back, easing him into his bed. "Here Tae lay down, Yoongi is going to get you medicine.." Jin rubs his neck gently as Namjoon gets a trashcan to put by the side of the bed.
I don't understand..just yesterday he was playing with Hoba and Jungkookie..
Jin frowns, feeling sweat on the back of Taehyung’s neck. "Namjoon-ah I think he's starting to run a fever. Could you get a thermometer?"
"Of course Hyung." Namjoon leaves the room, brushing past Yoongi.
"Here I got some medicine for you, Taehyungie." Yoongi presents the medicine bottle, measuring a dosage of medicine out.
While Yoongi preps the medicine, Jin helps Taehyung sit up, feeling his body sway. "Woah, I got you.."
Taehyung felt dizzy when he got up, leaning heavily against Jin's broad shoulder. His stomach churned as soon as he was upright again, pushing up the toast from breakfast. "Hyu..hyung.."
"F*ck..Sh*t.." Yoongi quickly picks up the trash can from the floor when Taehyung burps, pushing up the sick. "It's okay.. you'll feel better once it's out.."
Taehyung hugs the trashcan as he empties his stomach into it with a loud retch, splashing sick into the plastic liner. Jin scratches lightly across his back, feeling his spine arch as his stomach pushes up thick bile.
"Taehyung.." Namjoon stops in the doorway, eyes widening when he sees how pale Taehyung became in such a short time. He thought he was doing better after he was asleep the whole car ride home without any problems, but he was foolish to think a short rest was enough to make a difference.
"Go get me a wet cloth and a bowl of water, please. His temperature is rising fast." Jin orders, Namjoon quickly leaving the room again. "It's okay, hyung will get you feeling better, just try to take deep breaths, okay?"
Taehyung goes to reply, but another wet burp comes instead, more sick filling the small bin. He presses the trash tighter against his stomach, trying to ease the pain with pressure. "It..it hurts.."
"I know baby.. I know.. you're doing so good.. you're almost done.." Jin encourages him gently, rubbing his palm up and down Taehyung’s sweaty back.
Yoongi holds Tae's bangs out of his face. "I'll get you a heat pack when you finish. It'll help with the pain.."
Namjoon returns to the room, giving Jin the wet cloth and placing the bowl on the side table. Jin thanks him, using it to wipe the sweat that was pooling on the back of Taehyung’s neck.
The amount of sick that came from Taehyung started to dwindle down, making the three older men start to relax as the younger took deep breaths, the tension in his shoulders ebbing away.
"I..I'm done.." Taes voice comes out as a hoarse whisper, loosening his grip on the bin. "Water...?"
"Here baby." Jin opens the water bottle for him. "Rinse out your mouth first then drink okay?"
Taehyung nods, taking in a mouthful of water and swishing it around a bit before spitting it out, trying to rid himself of the awful taste, then taking a few mouthfuls, cautious not to drink to much in fear of making himself sick once more.
"Can you swallow some medicine for me, Vuu?" Jin asks gently, rubbing his stomach.
"I think so.." Tae says hoarsely, accepting the medicine cup Yoongi offered him, swallowing it down quickly. "I'm sorry you had to see that.."
"Don't worry about it." Yoongi brushes off his apology. "Do you feel any better?"
"My throat and stomach hurt..and it's cold.. could I have the heat Yoongi-hyung..?" Taehyung asks, rubbing his hand across his sore stomach, muscles screaming in pain from the force of kicking everything out of it.
"Of course. I'll go get it." Yoongi leaves the room without hesitation. On his way to his room, he jumps at the sudden loud coughing coming from Jungkook "Are you okay, Jungkook?"
Jungkook made the 'okay' sign with his hand, continuing to cough into his blanket. Taehyungie-hyung was throwing up.. I can't distract them from taking care of him. Not for a cough.. I'll just take some medicine and go to bed early.. "I took a drink of water, and it went down wrong.." Jungkook says, pointing to the water bottle on the table.
Bullsh*t.. the lid is still on it.
Yoongi didn't call him out on it, though. He could worry about Jungkook later. Right now, he told Taehyung he would get him a heating pad to help his stomach. "Well, take some medicine just in case. Taehyungie is sick, and you were all over him yesterday."
"Okay Hyung."
Yoongi goes back on his quest, getting the item and returning to Taehyung ,plugging in the heating pad and placing it across Taehyung lower abdomen. "You can't use it for too long though, okay?"He says as a gentle reminder he couldn't take heat well.
Taehyung nods, the heat easing the pain away, his body relaxing"Thanks Hyung..that feels better.."
"Good..try to get some sleep, okay? Namjoon-ah." He motions for the rapper to lean closer."Go check up on Jungkookie, please? He was coughing really badly." Yoongi whispers by his ear, not wanting Taehyung to hear.
Namjoon nods, taking the medicine from the table and going to his room. "Tae is doing better. He was falling asleep when I left." He starts the conversation lightly. Jungkook had the awful habit of hiding his pain, not wanting to add more stress to the older members.
"Do you think we need to take him to a doctor?"
Namjoon could hear Jungkook holding back a cough.
"We'll see if the medicine helps. It might just be a stomach bug and he'll be okay in the morning. How about you? You were coughing a lot during practice. Are you feeling okay?"
"I just have a sore throat. My stomach doesn't hurt like Taehyungie-Hyungie, or do I feel feverish. I think I just overdid it." Jungkook tried negating his worries, down playing how he felt. He left out the pounding headache that he had all day and the fact that despite fact he hardly ate anything all day, the smell of Jimin and Hobi cooking in the kitchen made his stomach queasy "But Yoongi-hyung wants me to take medicine just in case.."
"Yeah he told me that, so I brought it with me." Namjoon feels the tension leave his shoulders when jungkook brings it up on his own, relieved he wouldn't have to fight with him to take it. He pours the younger the small cup of medicine, handing it to him
Jungkook takes it with a shaky hand, swallowing the medicine quickly hoping that Namjoon didn't notice.
"I'm tired, so I'm going to rest until dinner is finished. Its been a long week and its rare we get time to rest.." Namjoon says in hopes Jungkook would lay down and get the sleep he needs so he can recover and he falls for the trap.
"I'll lay down too. I'm a bit sleepy.." Jungkook lays down with a big yawn head hitting his makeshift pillow not taking more than a few minutes to fall asleep, snoring softly.
Namjoon gets up from his bed slowly, using the thermometer to confirm the low grade fever jumping back to avoid Jungkook coughing on him. "We're down two members.."
"Jaykay...jungkook-ah dinner is ready. Do you think you could eat?" Hobi goes into the room to check on him. Namjoon told him about his fever and that his cough became worse, but remembering the youngest vocalist only had one piece of toast with jam that morning made him unable to comfortably let him sleep.
"Mm..? Hoseok..ah..hyung..I'm not hungry.." Jungkook's voice sounded worse than earlier, coming out weak and scratchy. He was hardly awake, eyes not even open as he tried to turn him down.
"But you haven't eaten in twelve hours. Could you at least try to eat some soup?" Hobi tries encouraging him, gently running his hand up and down jungkook's side.
Jungkook stretches out, coughing into his arm. "Okay..okay..I'm up.." He could hear the worry in Hobi's voice and the older was right. He couldn't go to bed without eating something. What if I do have what Taehyungie-hyungie has? I don't want to throw up without anything in me..
Hobi helped Jungkook sit up, placing a tray of soup in front of him. "Do you want me to feed you?"
Jungkook tried to eat it on his own, but when he picked up the spoon the itch in his throat worsened, making him cough, spilling the soup onto the tray when it makes his chest rattle. Hobi quickly pulled the tray off.
"Aiish.. you scared me." Hobi sighs in relief when he sees none of the broth got on Jungkook.
"I'm.. I'm sorry.." Jungkook says between coughs.
"It's okay baby. It was an accident. I just didn't want it to spill on you. Let me do it. Okay?" J-hope feeds Jungkook bite by bite.
Meanwhile in another room, Jimin was helping with the second youngest, carrying a tray with him.
"I made you some soup. You don't have to eat it if you arent up to it though." Jimin says sympathically when he sees Taehyung was awake in his room, coughing Into the pillow he wrapped around.
"I don't know lf I can..but..I'll try.." Taehyung sits up slowly, closing his eyes when his head spins."If I don't eat I can't get better..and I feel awful.." He whines to himself, fighting against the dizziness.
"I know.. it's okay. Just a few bites for now okay?" Jimin scoops up some bean sprouts with the spoon, blowing on it before offering it to Taehyung.
Taehyung opens his mouth, taking in the bite, then another instantly regretting the second when he gags, having to force it back down with a hard swallow. He turns away from it, the smell of food making him feel worse. "No.. no.."
"Sh*t.. I'm sorry.. I'll take it away.. I'm sorry." Jimin quickly takes the bowl from the room. "Hyungie, Taehyung’s too sick for food.. His lips turned white after a couple bites, and he hardly forced it down.. what are we gonna do?"
"We'll get him some mineral water or something to replace food until his stomach settles. Why don't you go help Hoba? He didn't eat yet. He said he wanted to check on Jungkookie first." Jin heart sinks at the fact he couldn't even hold down soup, but didn't want Jimin knowing how worried he felt, quickly changing the subject.
"Alright. I'll go check on them." Jimin leaves to Jungkooks room relieved to see at least one of their patients eating. "Hobi-hyungie let me do it. You almost fainted at practice.. you need to eat."
"Oh..right.. I need to eat too." Hobi says, despite the fact he didn't feel hungry. It must be all the stress..
Hobi lied to himself. He refused to admit he was getting sick. Not when the two youngest were coughing up a storm and unable to eat. He leaves to the kitchen to get some kimchi Kongnamul guk.
"Oh good, you are eating. I was worried you'd be too busy caring for the others. I already had to force Jimin to sit and eat before seeing Voo." Jin smiles when he sees J-hope take a bite."
The warm broth soothed his sore throat, taking a few bites before talking. "What about Namjoonie and Yoongi-hyung?"
"Namjoon-ah said he wanted to sleep more and Yoongi went to the store." Jin explained. "I'll get Yoongi when he gets back and Namjoon when he wakes up. He's been working all nighters on the bonus track trying to make it usable before the album drop. I'm surprised he's not the one sick."
Hobi only eats half of the soup he put in the bowl, filling up quickly. The food felt uncomfortable in his stomach. "I'm finished. I'm gonna go lay down too. I want to get up early to help Joon with the song."
"Good idea. I wish I was better at songwriting so I could help." Jin admits. "Good luck."
Yoongi was a light sleeper, jolting awake when he hears the toliet seat smack against the porcelain bowl. "Aiigo..Taehyungie.." he rushed to the bathroom, slowing for a moment perplexed when he heard J-hope gagging, not Taehyung. "Hoba?"
It didn't matter which it was. He still opens the bathroom door, kneeling beside the ailing teammate. "It's okay, hyung is here.." Yoongi gently pulls Hobi's hair back with an elastic hair tie, rubbing his back.
Hobi goes to speak, but ends up burping up sick, eyes watering as the smell of his own Vomit sends his stomach whirling, pushing up mouthfuls of thick bile without breaks to breathe.
"Breathe Hoseok..you'll hurt yourself.." Yoongi urges Hobi. "Please try.."
Hobi tries to obey, but when he breaths in, his throat fills with sick, spraying it all over the toliet. He whimpers, head spinning making it hard to even keep sitting up right. "Hyung.." he whimpered, feeling himself sway despite his death grip around the toliet bowl. Yoongi wraps around him to keep him upright.
"I got you.. it's okay.." Yoongi could feel Hobi trembling in his arms as he pushes up everything he had left in his stomach, continuing to dry heave even after he had nothing left to give.
"Hoba..hoba...Hoseok-ah.... hey..you need to breathe.." Yoongi's voice was filled with panic when he feels Hobi get heavier in his arms. "Sh*t.. Hyungie! HYUNG..."
The sound of Yoongi's scream wakes up the house, Namjoon, Jin, Jimin and Taehyung rushing to see what was wrong.
"What happened Yoongi?" Jin is the first to ask, eyes widening when he sees Hobi Iimp in his arms.
"Hoba fainted.. he just..kept trying to throw up without taking a breath and then he just stopped.." Yoongi explains talking quickly, cradling the now unconscious Hobi in his arms as Hobi's body works overtime to catch up on oxygen it desperately needed.
"We can get him to a hospital if he doesn't wake up within a minute or two.. he probably just hyperventilated." Jin speaks calmly despite his heart thumping hard in his chest, eyes dilated in fear."Taehyungie, you should be in bed." Jin scolds him. "Jiminie, Joonie take him to bed. Me and Yoongi can handle this."
"No.. no let me stay until Hobi-hyung wakes up..I'm okay." Taehyung begs with tears filling his eye, ignoring the fact without the doorframe to lean on he wouldn't be able to stand. "Please..?"
"Tete..Tete, hyung.. is okay..i..I just.." Hobi tried to speak, but he was still struggling to catch his breath, continuing to pant with each word"Go..go..back.. to bed.. I'll..I'll come lay with you in a minute.." The last part came easier, sitting upright to help himself breathe easier.
"Are you sure you're okay Hoba?" Namjoon asks, looking over Hobi. "You still look pale."
"Yeah. I'm fine. I just..freaked out because I couldn't breathe which only made it worse..I'm sorry..I didn't mean to scare everyone.." Hobi bows his head, shakily making it to his feet. "I'm feeling better now.."
"I still think you should go to a hospital.." Yoongi speaks softly, breath still coming out strained.
Hobi hugs onto Yoongi. "I'm sorry I scared you.. I'm okay though. I feel sore, but I don't feel like I'll be sick anymore.."
"But what if it doesn't last? What if you do later?" Jimin frets, eyes widening with fear.
"If I do then I'll go.. until then I'll cuddle with Tete." Hobi smiles.

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
Title: I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day
Word Count: 3756
Summary: The members send Hoseok off to the military. Jungkook is feeling extra emotional about it.
Sickie: Jungkook (cold/snz)
Caretakers: Jimin, Taehyung, Namjoon and Yoongi
A/N: this is how I’m coping, I guess…
The morning that Hoseok is set to enlist in the military, the sky darkens with clouds and then starts to dump rain on the Earth in a steady downpour, filling the streets with puddles and the air with a cool, gloomy atmosphere.
They’re glad to be together as a group today. There are lots of hugs, and a lot of laughter despite the situation. It’s still not easy, but it is easier now that they know what to expect, and getting to have Seokjin there with them helps too.
There’s a lucky break in the rain when they arrive at the training center together in the van. They take their turns saying goodbye to Hoseok– though Hoseok insists it’s not a goodbye. Jimin goes first, wrapping his arms tightly around Hoseok before giving him a very small, very quick kiss on the cheek and making Hoseok’s face go red. Yoongi is next, and he doesn’t care about the optics as much as Jimin does, plus there’s no one around to see. He kisses Hoseok on the cheek, and then again on the temple just so he can hear Hoseok giggle. Namjoon’s hug completely envelops his friend and Hoseok leans into Namjoon’s chest for a long time, until Jungkook laughs and pulls them apart. Seokjin cracks joke after joke until Hoseok is about to fall on the ground with laughter, and then he shakes Hoseok’s hand firmly. Taehyung is next, draping himself over Hoseok and rubbing his hands all over Hoseok’s short hair.
Jungkook goes last. Until his turn, he’s been waiting off to the side, quiet and still, but now he tucks his nose against Hoseok’s neck and wraps his arms around his waist, murmuring something the others can’t hear before he’s sniffling and blinking away the tears that threaten to spill over.
It’s only by some miracle that Hoseok doesn’t immediately burst into tears watching Jungkook cry. Somehow, he manages to keep it together, keeps a big smile on his face as he swipes Jungkook’s tears away with his thumbs. He doesn’t see Namjoon turn away to wipe away tears of his own.
When it’s time for them to pile back into the van, Namjoon and Yoongi take the front seat. Jimin and Taehyung take the middle row. Jungkook climbs into the back row by himself, despite offers from both of the pairs for him to join either of them, and curls up against one side. He buckles his seat belt and then rests his forehead against the cool pane of glass, closing his eyes and tugging his bucket hat a little lower in the front as if to shield his eyes.
Jimin eyes him for a moment, but then Taehyung is pulling him down and fumbling with his seatbelt as he stifles a yawn.
“Someone is sleepy, hm?” Jimin chuckles.
Taehyung, who’s absolutely exhausted, nods and then rests his head on Jimin’s shoulder as soon as they’re buckled in, his eyes staying closed longer and longer each time he blinks.
“It’s okay, Tae,” Jimin murmurs. “You can sleep.”
He wraps an arm around his friend’s shoulders and tugs him a little closer. Taehyung clasps his hands together and tucks them between his thighs, then scoots his butt further away from Jimin so he’s slightly more horizontal. His breathing evens out as soon as he lets himself close his eyes.
Behind them, Jungkook sniffles wetly. It’s not an unusual sound, especially coming from him, so no one thinks twice about it until Jungkook sniffles again, and then a third time. Jimin’s heart breaks. He hates that the younger man is so emotional about sending Hoseok off.
“Sorry,” he whispers to Taehyung, trying not to wake him fully as he slowly turns around to look at Jungkook. It doesn’t work– as soon as he’s twisting around, it’s like Taehyung can sense Jimin’s worry, and he sits up straight, blinking heavily and bringing one fist to rub at his tired eyes.
“Wha’s wrong?” He asks, watching Jimin look toward the backseat.
Jimin looks at Jungkook. He’s still wearing his face mask, and his hat is covering his eyes, so Jimin can barely see any of his face. Jungkook gives a particularly hard sniff and raises a hand to his face, and Jimin isn’t sure if it’s to hide his emotions from Jimin or to wipe a tear from his eye or–
“ehhCHOO!”
Oh. So Jungkook wasn’t crying, he just needed to sneeze. Jimin presses a hand to his chest, startled by the sneeze, but he’s relieved that Jungkook seems to be okay emotionally.
Except, after Jimin turns back around and pulls Taehyung’s head to his shoulder again, Jungkook starts sniffling again. The sound is increasing in frequency and volume and again, Jungkook sniffling in general isn’t all that uncommon, but Jimin can’t help but worry a little about him.
“Are you okay, Kook–” Jimin asks, trying not to move anything but his head as he turns to look, but he’s cut off by Jungkook sneezing again.
“Heh-choo! Uh-hehhCHOO!”
The second and third sneezes catch the attention of Yoongi and Namjoon in the front seat. Taehyung, who’s asleep again, stirs a little but keeps his head on Jimin’s shoulder.
“Bless you,” Namjoon calls softly over his shoulder before turning back to face the front. It’s something he picked up from Hoseok, blessing them in English when one of them sneezes, and it makes Jimin feel a pang of sadness that Hoseok isn’t there to say it himself.
Jungkook breathes out a heavy sigh and lets his head fall back against the window. “Thanks.”
“Are you okay?” Jimin asks him.
“Yeah, I’m good.” Jungkook sniffles again. “I caught a cold or something in the U.S.”
Namjoon, Yoongi and Jimin all turn to fully look at him, surprised to hear the admission. None of them had even noticed that he was sick, but now that they know it, it’s hard to miss how nasally and hoarse Jungkook is sounding.
“What?” Taehyung drags himself upright again. He yawns so widely that his jaw cracks, and then he looks around at everyone in confusion.
As if they have the exact same thought at the exact same time, Yoongi and Jimin both unbuckle their seatbelts and, despite the fact that the van is still very much moving on the road, they both stand. With a little chuckle, Yoongi motions for Jimin to move first, so he does, maneuvering himself into the backseat to sit next to Jungkook. Yoongi joins them next, sitting next to Jimin and buckling them both in.
“How long have you been sick?” Jimin asks, sliding his hand under Jungkook’s hat so he can place a palm on his forehead. The skin there is warm, but not alarmingly so, so it’s probably due to the hat he’s wearing.
“Mm. A day or so,” Jungkook replies.
“Do you need anything? Water? Medicine?” Yoongi asks.
Jimin, Taehyung and Namjoon look at Yoongi as if they’re expecting him to pull a bottle of cough syrup out of his jacket pocket, but Jungkook lifts his head from the car window and shakes it.
“Nah, I’m good. I took something for it this morning.”
Taehyung glances down at the time on his phone. “What time this morning?”
Jungkook pinches the bridge of his nose, squeezing his eyes shut as he slides his thumb and forefinger up and down the side of his nose. He makes a noise that sounds like something between a cough and a sneeze and then clears his throat, sniffling a couple of times afterward. When he looks up, the other four members are staring at him.
“Huh?”
The question comes out so congested it’s hardly a word.
Taehyung chuckles fondly. “What time did you take medicine?”
“Umb.” Jungkook rubs at the bridge of his nose again. “Early. I don’t know.”
“You need more medicine, then,” Yoongi surmises.
He really does. They all know what Jungkook is like with a cold. He always seems to experience the symptoms rather severely, and it’s torture on his poor sinuses. Cold medication makes the difference between a sneezy, stuffy, miserable Jungkook and a slightly uncomfortable Jungkook.
“I don’t have any more with me,” Jungkook says. And then he sneezes, loudly. “HtchSHOO!”
“Bless you,” says Namjoon.
Yoongi unzips his jacket and looks into one of his interior pockets, pulling out a small travel-pack of tissues. He opens it and tugs one out, handing it over to Jungkook. Jungkook pulls his mask down under his chin. His nose is already red and his lips are chapped, and they can all see the moisture glistening just inside his nostrils.
“Thank you.” Jungkook takes the tissue and folds it neatly in half before pinching it lightly over his nose. He starts to blow, but a second later another sneeze bursts out of him. “Huh-CHOO!”
He curses loudly, fumbling with the now soaked tissue, and Yoongi takes two more tissues out of the pack and passes them over.
“Hmm.” Taehyung is resting his head on his arms, facing backward to look at Jungkook over the seat. His eyelids are heavy and he’s yawning almost as much as Jungkook is sneezing. “That’s a bad cold you’ve got there, Jungkookie.”
Yoongi is digging around in another coat pocket. He pulls out a tiny bottle of hand sanitizer and pops the lid open with his thumb. One by one, he squirts hand sanitizer into each of their palms. He waits for Jungkook to finish blowing his nose and crumple up the used tissues to stuff them into his pocket, and then gestures for him to hold his hand out too. He squeezes a generous amount out for Jungkook, and then sanitizes his own hands before pocketing the bottle.
Jungkook, who still has his mask under his chin and is still rubbing the hand sanitizer between his palms, freezes suddenly, a panicked look crossing his face. His breath hitches once, twice, and then he turns to the side so sharply he almost smacks his forehead on the window. His shoulders shake violently as he struggles to keep the impending sneeze at bay long enough to press his mouth and nose into the crook of his elbow.
“ehhTCH!”
Trying to fight the sneeze off and then half-stifling it makes Jungkook have to cough afterward, his sinuses and throat thoroughly irritated.
“Oh, Kookie,” Jimin says, rubbing his back. “Poor thing.”
Yoongi pulls another couple of tissues out of the pack. There’s only one left after this.
“Thanks,” Jungkook says wearily as he accepts the tissues. His voice is fading fast. He blows his nose once again, but this time, he seems to hit a wall, the sound thick and congested instead of wet. The next set of tissues go into Jungkook’s pocket along with the others. He pulls his mask back over his mouth and nose and then pinches the bridge of his nose again, sighing heavily.
“Here, come rest,” Jimin says, patting his lap to indicate that Jungkook should lie down.
“Hey,” Taehyung pouts. “You’re supposed to be my pillow.”
“Sorry, TaeTae,” Jimin smiles. “I’ll be your pillow next time.”
Yoongi rolls his eyes, grumbling something to himself as he unbuckles yet again to shift up a row, to Jimin’s previous seat next to Taehyung. Taehyung latches on to him with a happy coo, both arms wrapping around Yoongi’s waist as he tucks his face against Yoongi’s neck.
Taehyung looks like he’ll fall asleep within minutes, and now Jungkook is looking tired too. Jimin tugs Jungkook down into his lap, pulling the hat off of Jungkook’s head so he can run his fingers through his soft, wavy locks.
“Oh, you cut your bangs,” Jimin notes. “Cute.”
He keeps moving his fingers through Jungkook’s long hair, watching as Jungkook’s eyelashes flutter for a minute before his eyes close completely. It takes him a little longer than Taehyung to fall asleep, made more difficult by his stuffy nose and budding headache, and he shifts around for a while before the sniffles give way to loud snores.
While Jungkook and Taehyung sleep, Jimin, Namjoon and Yoongi determine that they’ll all go over to Jungkook’s place instead of Namjoon’s so that Jungkook can rest. Traffic is awful due to the rain, so it takes almost an hour to arrive.
Waking Jungkook up when they get there is a difficult task. Taehyung, who pops up immediately looking refreshed, leans over the back of the seat and pushes Jungkook’s bangs off his forehead with his long fingers.
“Wake up, Jungkookie.”
“Kooookie,” Jimin tries. “We’re home.”
Even Namjoon tries, singing something silly loudly and off-key, but Jungkook’s apparently too used to that because he doesn’t even stir.
Eventually, Yoongi ushers them all out of the van, and then he climbs into the backseat and unbuckles the sleeping man, hoisting Jungkook’s arm over his shoulder and practically pulling him across the street until Jungkook groans and squints at him with one eye, and adorable pout on his face.
“Huh?” He asks hoarsely, letting Yoongi keep tugging him out of the van.
“We’re home,” Yoongi tells him, waiting a moment so Jungkook’s brain can catch up for him to use his legs.
They emerge from the van together, Yoongi’s arm wrapped firmly around Jungkook’s waist while Jungkook scrubs roughly at his nose through his face mask and blinks sleepily up at the sky, which has brightened since it stopped raining again just before their arrival. He reaches up to pull his hat down to shield his eyes but realizes he’s not wearing it anymore, patting his head as if to double check before stopping in his tracks.
“What is it?” Yoongi asks, coming to a stop with him.
“My hat,” he says. “I left it in...”
“I’ll grab it!” Namjoon offers, jogging back to get the hat. When he returns, he hands it over to Jungkook with a smile.
But Jungkook doesn’t respond, nor does he take the hat from Namjoon. Instead, he cups both hands around his mouth and nose, over the face mask, head tilting back as his eyes close, then open, then close again.
“Hh! Hh? Hhh…” His breath is coming out in short little huffs.
Namjoon looks confused for a moment. He’s still holding out the hat toward Jungkook, and he leans in close, thinking he’s missed Jungkook saying something.
“What?”
Jungkook leans forward now, his chest expanding. “Hold-on–” He manages to gasp, changing his mind and leaning back instead, turning his body until Yoongi releases him. He takes one step away, panting into his cupped hands.
Jimin looks like he’s holding his breath in anticipation, his eyes wide as he watches Jungkook struggle with the sneeze that won’t come out.
“Hh-ehh…hhHH–!”
Finally, Jungkook exhales sharply, then sniffs hard, a shiver running through his body before his shoulders sag in defeat. He lets out a breathy string of curses and pulls down his mask a little so he can scrub at his nose with his fist, which is now an angry shade of red, nostrils flaring with each swipe of his knuckles.
“Wow, Kookie, you had me on the edge of my seat there,” Jimin says, laughing. “Are you okay?”
Jungkook nods, but he doesn’t really look okay. He looks dazed, or maybe a bit distracted, and his eyes are watering. There’s a crease between his eyebrows that deepens when Yoongi nudges him to start walking again.
Once they’re on the walkway, they let Jungkook go first, and he slowly shuffles his way to his front door, fishing his keys out of his front pocket. It takes him a good half a minute to unlock the door, but it’s hard to tell if it’s because he’s tired, or because his hands are trembling a little, or because he pauses more than once to rub his nose.
Inside, Jungkook beelines straight for the sofa and practically dives onto it.
“It’s so nice to be home,” he murmurs congestedly into a cushion. Then, he sits up, his tousled hair flying around his face. “Sorry, I’m not being a good host.”
“Don’t worry,” Namjoon says, coming up behind Jungkook and leaning down to press a kiss to the top of his head. “You don’t need to do anything. We know where things are. You just lie down and rest, okay?”
It’s all the invitation Jungkook needs. He pulls off his mask, dropping it onto the table, and collapses back onto the sofa with a soft moan.
“I’ll go grab the medicine,” Yoongi says, making his way toward Jungkook’s bathroom, and Taehyung follows him. Taehyung returns a moment later, from the direction of Jungkook’s bedroom, carrying an armful of blankets. He dumps them onto the coffee table and sorts through them, pulling one fluffy blue one from the pile, which he wraps around his own shoulders, and then a soft gray one that he drapes over Jungkook’s body.
“Thank…thank…thankyou-hh-uhhCHOO!”
The tickle that’s been teasing Jungkook’s nose since he got out of the van finally catches him, and he sneezes tremendously into the edge of the blanket.
Jimin, who’s filling up a glass of water in the kitchen, hums sympathetically. “Bless you, Kookie!” He calls.
Namjoon is quick to round up both the box of tissues from the guest bathroom and the box from the spare bedroom, setting them both down on the coffee table within Jungkook’s reach.
“You don’t have any cold medicine in your bathroom,” Yoongi says, coming down the hallway. “I’ll run out and grab some in a second.”
Taehyung shakes his head. “That’s what delivery apps are for, hyung,” he says, holding up his phone. “I’ll order it now.”
Jimin carries the water into the living room and sets it on the coffee table next to the tissues. He looks at Jungkook, who’s attempting to blow his nose with little success, and frowns. After another futile blow into a handful of tissues, Jungkook groans and pinches the bridge of his nose.
“Sit up a little,” Jimin instructs, waiting for Jungkook to lift his head before sitting down on the end of the couch. He pats his thigh, and Jungkook lies back down, his head in Jimin’s lap.
When Jungkook is settled, Jimin uses one hand to rub at Jungkook’s scalp, his thumb soothing circles along his temples. He slides his other hand down Jungkook’s back, over the blanket that’s covering him.
“This blanket is so soft!” Jimin lifts the corner of the blanket and rubs it against his cheek, then starts to tuck it around Jungkook’s shoulder before he pauses, his small nose twitching.
“Oh,” Jimin says, lifting the blanket to his face again and smelling it. “This blanket smells like Hobi-hyung.”
Jungkook, who’s sniffling into a handful of tissues, frowns. He nuzzles into the blanket, trying to draw air in through his stuffed-up nose and making a sad, broken sound when he can’t.
“I…I can’t smell it,” he says.
And then he bursts into tears.
The four of them are surrounding him in an instant, Namjoon and Taehyung kneeling on the floor in front of the couch and Yoongi settling at the end by Jungkook’s feet. Jimin leans down and cradles Jungkook’s head in his arms, petting his hair and shushing him as he sobs.
“Shh, it’s okay, Kookie. It’s okay.”
Jungkook sobs harder at that, and the four of them rub his back and wait, letting him cry until several minutes pass and he sucks in a shaky breath, trying to calm down.
Taehyung hurries to grab some tissues from the box on the coffee table when he sees how badly Jungkook’s nose is running now. Jungkook is too occupied with crying to take them, though, so Taehyung uses one tissue to start drying the tears from his cheeks, and wads up a couple more to hold against Jungkook’s nose.
“Sorry,” Jungkook croaks, trying to regain control of his emotions. “I’m being dumb.”
The four of them exchange glances with each other– their eyes are all shining with tears now too.
“You’re not,” Jimin says firmly. “Don’t say that.”
“It’s not dumb to miss Hobi-hyung,” Taehyung says. “I miss you guys if I go even a week without seeing you. It’s perfectly normal.”
“I miss him too, Jungkook-ah. Like, a lot.” Namjoon takes a long, steadying breath, and Yoongi reaches over to rub his shoulder.
Jimin, who’s still petting his hair, leans down and envelops Jungkook in a hug. Then, he tucks the gray blanket even more snugly around Jungkook’s body.
“Even though you can’t tell right now, this blanket seriously smells just like Hobi-hyung,” he tells Jungkook. “So this is kind of like he’s here with us, giving you a big warm hug.”
That makes Jungkook splutter out a wet sound that’s half a sob and half a laugh, but he smiles after, tears glistening on his cheeks.
“Thanks.”
Jungkook’s voice is a crackly mess. He clears his throat as Jimin stands up, and the other three lean down to hug him one by one.
“Love you, Jungkookie!” Taehyung says, burning his face in Jungkook’s hair.
Yoongi hands Jungkook another tissue from the box and cards his hand through Jungkook’s hair, smiling down fondly at the younger man before wrapping his arms around him in a gentle embrace.
“We love you so much, Kook-ah,” Namjoon says and he pulls Jungkook to his chest. “And we’re always together, even when we’re apart.”
Jimin returns from where he’s been wandering around Jungkook’s house, holding up a candle in one hand and a scarf in the other.
“When you can breathe through your nose again, I’m gonna make you smell all the things that smell like Hobi-hyung.”
They all laugh at that, and then Jungkook laughs even harder when Jimin sniffs a lamp and exclaims, “Wow, your house smells really good, Kookie!”
“We should turn on a movie and snuggle,” Taehyung suggests, turning on the TV. His tongue pokes out of his mouth as he concentrates on his task, but he finds what he’s looking for quickly. The screen fills with a familiar superhero’s face, and Jungkook smiles and pulls the blanket up to his quivering chin.
“Thank you,” he tells Taehyung with a sniffle. “We don’t have to watch this…”
“Nonsense,” Taehyung interrupts. “We love watching Iron Man with you. Now, scoot over.”
Taehyung squeezes his way next to Jungkook on the sofa, and soon they’re joined by Jimin, Namjoon and Yoongi. Taehyung starts the movie, and they all fall into a comfortable silence, interrupted only by the sound of Jungkook’s loud, congested snores less than ten minutes later.

Namjoon Sick While Camping

Sickie: Namjoon
Caretakers: Hoseok and Seokjin
TW: Emeto, fever, crying, needles
“Namjoon?  You okay?” Hoseok asked, looking over at his dongsaeng.  He looked pale, even in the dim light.  A camping trip was the worst place to get sick, Namjoon decided.  He felt so nauseous, and his stomach cramping was a definite sign that he was about to throw up.  It was just him and Hoseok here, sitting and looking at the stars.  The other members were having dessert, but the two of them didn’t feel like it.
“Yeah.  Just a little nauseous,” he said, putting a hand on his stomach.  “I’ll be alright.”  He felt Hoseok’s hand go to his back.
“Why don’t you go to bed early?”
Namjoon shrugged, running a hand through his hair.  “I don’t know…I feel like I have a fever or something,” he said softly, only so Hoseok could hear it.
Hoseok felt his forehead and winced.  “Ah..Namjoon, you have a really bad fever.  You need to get to bed, honey.”
Namjoon nodded.  “I’ll go.”
But when he stood up, he suddenly felt his stomach’s contents push their way up his throat.  He coughed and doubled over, gagging suddenly.  Tears pushed their way into his eyes and he groaned in pain before gagging again, sending up his measly dinner that he’d barely been able to get down.
Hoseok’s hand rubbed Namjoon’s back as he whispered little reassurances.  “Hyung…” Namjoon said softly.  “My stomach hurts..”
“I know, let’s go back to our tent.”
“I’m so dizzy,” Namjoon moaned again. “I can help you there, Joon, come on.”  He helped Namjoon to stand and linked arms with him.  His dongsaeng was stumbling, but he was able to make it to the tent and lay down.  He started to crawl into his sleeping back, but Hoseok stopped him.  “You can’t, honey, you have a fever.”  Namjoon was shaking, and again, looked like he was about to cry.
“I’m freezing.”
Hoseok’s heart sunk.  “I know.  I’ll hold you.”  Hoseok lay down next to him and wrapped his arms around the younger.  He could feel that Namjoon was already hotter, but he was still shaking.
+++++
Hoseok wasn’t sure how much time had passed before Namjoon started squirming in his sleep.  His stomach was making noises that Hoseok dreaded meant he was about to be sick again.  Namjoon whimpered, and Hoseok pet his hair.  He must be having a nightmare.  Hoseok knew how bad it could get when Namjoon had a fever like this.  He hated to wake his dongsaeng up when he was feeling so unwell, but the last thing he wanted was for Namjoon to make a mess.  Hoseok pulled away from the hug and quickly grabbed one of the metal bowls in the corner of the tent collecting rainwater the previous night.  It was empty now, and it had a purpose.
Namjoon whimpered again, and Hoseok went over to wake him up gently.
“Joonie, wake up,” he whispered, shaking him.  It didn’t take much for Namjoon to wake up.  He instantly sat up and started coughing.  His shirt was soaked with sweat.
Hoseok quickly placed the bowl under his dongsaeng’s chin as he started vomiting.  It was way more violent this time, Namjoon jolting and his stomach visibly tensing every gag.  He moaned, and Hoseok shushed him.  “It’s ok,” he whispered.  “You’re doing great.”
Namjoon whined and spit, his arms crossing over his pained stomach.  Hoseok wasn’t sure how long this could go on.  But Namjoon kept gagging loudly, to the point where he was barely bringing up anything but still trying to.  Tears were streaming down his face, and Hoseok wiped them.  His usually tan skin was white except for a red flush on his cheeks from the fever.  He whispered “done” after several minutes of vomiting, and Hoseok rubbed his back.  “Good job, Namjoon.  Do you feel better?”
Namjoon shook his head.  “My stomach is killing me.”
“Lay back down, I’ll rub it for you.”  Namjoon did as he was told, and Hoseok pulled up his shirt.  Namjoon winced at the cold hand on his bare stomach.  The pressure felt good, but his stomach still hurt so bad.  Hoseok winced as he felt Namjoon’s stomach grumble and tense under his hand.  When he pressed a particularly tender spot, Namjoon cried out in pain.
“Stop!  Stop,” he whined, and Hoseok did so.  But it was too late.  Namjoon was already gagging again.  Hoseok grabbed the bowl again and held it to his dongsaeng’s face, watching painfully as Namjoon’s face turned red with the force of dry heaving.  He finished quickly.
“I’m going to go wash this out in the river, ok?  And I need to get Seokjin-hyung,” Hoseok said.  Namjoon just nodded and laid his head back down.
++
When he was done rinsing out the bowl, Hoseok went quietly to Seokjin’s tent that he got to himself.  He peeked his head in.  Seokjin was awake, reading a book.  “Seokjin-hyung?”
“What are you doing up, Hoseok?” Seokjin asked, setting down his book.
“It’s Namjoon.  He–he’s really sick.  Something’s really wrong.”
“Does he have a fever?” Seokjin asked.  He came outside the tent to meet with Hoseok.
“Yes, and he keeps throwing up.  I think he needs to go to the hospital,” Hoseok responded.
“We can just try pricking his finger first.  I have a needle in my pocket, I was just fixing Jungkook’s pants.”
“Wait,” Hoseok said.  “What if it just makes him sicker?  He could get an infection.”
“I have a first aid kit with some alcohol wipes.  We can sanitize it first.”  Hoseok reluctantly nodded.  “I’ll meet you at your tent, ok?”  Hoseok nodded again and went back to the tent.  Namjoon was hunched over the bowl, gagging again.  He could barely breathe, his stomach was giving him no breaks.  Hoseok sighed and went over to pat his back.  There was nothing coming up for his dongsaeng but tears, which landed in the bowl.
“You’re empty, Joonie.  You need to stop trying,” Hoseok said, pulling the bowl away and easing Namjoon’s head into his lap.  Namjoon was still crying.  “Just relax.  You’ll feel better soon.”
“I want it to be over,” Namjoon sniffed.  Seokjin walked back in with his needle and alcohol wipes.
“Everything okay?” he asked, and Hoseok shook his head.  “We need to take him to the hospital.  He needs an ambulance.”
Seokjin shook his head.  “We don’t want to make him more stressed.”  He grabbed Namjoon’s hand and put the alcohol wipe over his finger.  “I’m gonna prick your finger, ok, Namjoon?”  Namjoon shook his head.
“No, please, hyung –”
“I promise it’s gonna help,” Seokjin said, pricking as gently as he could.  Namjoon winced in pain.  Seokjin squeezed a little blood out, thinking it would help, but Namjoon just started gagging harshly from the sensation.  Seokjin set the needle down and put the bowl up to him.  Namjoon gasped for air and started vomiting again.  Just bile came out, but he kept gagging nonetheless.
“Hyung, that’s it.  We need to take him to the hospital,” Hoseok said.  Seokjin sighed.
“I’ll call for an ambulance.”

9. "I will be once we get home."
_________________________________________________
The car hits another bump on the road. That was hobi's last straw. "Hey hyung," hobi asked from the passenger seat. JIn in the driver's seat turns his head for a moment to listen. " huh?" Jin answered. " do you think we can pull over and take a break for a moment?" jhope asks. He had been feeling car sick for a while now but figured he'd be alright since they only had an hour and a half left of driving. "Sure hobi," JIn says. Jin was glad to hear he also need a break his legs were geting restless.
Jin slowed down the car. The bumps on the road's shoulder made Jhope feel nauseous. " geting some fresh air and stretching my legs would be nice !" Jin added. Jin turned off the car and got out. Jin walked around for a bit. Jin admired the big beautiful trees all around putting his hands on his hips like someone's dad.
Jhope on the other hand had not yet left the car. He felt too nauseous to move. hobi eventually opened his door. He huffed and held his stomach in his hands. Jin heard the door finally open and walked over. hobi sure was taking his time Jin though.
walking up to hobi jin noticed the younger hadn't looked so well. " you ok hobi? : Jin asked. " yeah, yeah I'm just a bit tired." hobi answered. hobi lied not wanting the older worry. Hobi stepped out of the car and walked around a bit. figuring he needs some of that fresh air jin was talking about. it didn't do much. I Jhope still didn't feel too great.
They both eventually hopped back in the car and headed back on the road. not long after did Jhopes nausea rise to a level of concern. "He is sorry Jin can we stop again." yeah bud" Jin answered while slowing down and parking the car on the shoulder of the road.
This time hoseok jumped out of the car and walked up to the grass. He held a hand to his stomach. he felt as though he could vomit here and now. that thought scared him a bit. He hated vomiting and would prolong it as long as he could.
Jin ran up to him. "What wrong Jhope? " Jin looked down at the hand that held on to Jhope's stomach. " is it your stomach?" Jin asked concerned. " Yeah, my stomach's just bothering me a little."
do you think your gonna be alright? Jin asked talking about the hour drive they still had left. jhope looked up to the older and answered. "I will be once we get home."
"how about we sit here for a bit for you to feel a bit better. Driving around doesn't seem like a good idea. " Jin says. Jin felt like this was probably carsickness that hobi had and he knew he'd hurl in if they tried to drive right now. jin says.
" ok," hobi says not feeling much like talking. JIn guided hope to the back of the car where hobi lay down ad Jin rubbed his stomach. hobi relaxed into Jin's touch.

Heyy! Love your work. Can I request a sneezy jimin trying to hide his cold from his members. Ty!!
Sleep well, hyung
Sickie: Jimin
Caretaker: Jungkook
Relationship: Platonic
Jimin’s pov:
Kookie was the only one who knew I had woken up sick. Sure, it was only a cold, but the members always went a bit overboard. Despite being the youngest, Jungkook knew when to take a step back. So that’s why I was willing to tell him. And we share a room so he was bound to catch on.
The hyungs were invited to an event tonight and they were all really excited to go. It wasn’t a mandatory event, and I knew they would blow it off if they found out I was sick. The only reason I didn’t tell Tae was because he’s bad at keeping secrets.
I did well keeping my symptoms hidden for the majority of the morning, but by lunch, I had started feeling a bit worse. My nose was crazy itchy and I couldn’t stop rubbing at it and sniffling. Jungkook sat down next to me with a sandwich and my breath quietly hitched. I grabbed a napkin and tried to make it look like I was wiping my face of food residue while pinching my nose.
“hihNGXT! NGXTtss!” I sniffled again and felt Jungkook place a hand on my knee. I glanced over at him and he mouthed a ‘bless you’ before changing the subject.
“So, hyung,” he said turning to Jin. “You excited for tonight?”
He nodded, “Yea, I wonder what they’re gonna have for dinner.”
“Definitely,” Yoongi chimed in.
He was about to say something else when an itch resurfaced and I had to interrupt. “hehTCHIEW! Oh, excuse me.”
“Bless you, hyung.” Taehyung came over and hugged me. “Are you okay?”
“Thanks, TaeTae.” I hugged him back, what a cutie. “I’m fine.”
Namjoon looked over at me and I hoped he wouldn’t go full leader-mode.
Luckily, Jungkook covered for me. “I’ve been a little sniffly too,” he said to me. “It’s probably because of the flowers in our room from ARMY.”
I nodded. “Yea, but they’re really pretty so it’s worth it.”
Yoongi laughed. “That’s how I felt last week,” he joked. “Doesn’t ARMY know we have allergies?”
His humor got a chuckle from all of the members and the hyungs decided it was time to change and get ready to leave.
********time skip********
“Are these pants okay?” Hobi did a little twirl, asking for our opinions.
Jungkook nodded, “I like them.”
I agreed before turning away. “huhTCHIEW!” I swiped a finger under my nose and sniffled. Jungkook and Hobi blessed me, but overall, no one thought much of the sneeze. I was surprised but thankful.
Until about two minutes later when my nose started tickling again. “hehNGXT! hihNGXTchh!” The sneezes were so itchy that I let out a few small coughs.
“Bless you, Min.” Namjoon gave me a sympathetic look. “You sure you’re okay?”
“I’m good,” I promised. “Not sure where that came from.”
Kookie could probably tell I was getting flustered because of the lie and he started rubbing his nose.
“Hyung,” he said to me. “Can we maybe get rid of those flowers?” He sniffled and gave me a smirk when no one was looking.
I pretended to contemplate it. “Yea, I guess so if they’re bothering you too.”
It looked like Namjoon wasn’t really paying attention anymore so he must’ve bought it.
‘hahTCHUU!” There was a sudden outburst from Taehyung. “Aigo, sorry. Yea let’s please get rid of those.” He was helping hide my cold and he didn’t even know it. How ‘bout that?
“Bless you,” I laughed.
Jungkook couldn’t help but giggle as well. “Wow, Tae, bless.”
“Thank you, sorry.”
Jungkook shot me a glance that said ‘well that went surprisingly well.’ I shrugged and smiled.
“Alright, maknaes!” Jin walked in, making his presence known. “We’re heading out.”
The three of us shouted our goodbyes and were left alone. I sighed in relief.
“Wait here, Chim.” Jungkook stood from the couch. “I’ll get you some cold meds.”
Tae’s head whipped around to turn and look at me. “Cold meds?” He pouted and came over to sit next to me. “I didn’t know you were sick.” He draped an arm over my shoulders.
“Sorry I lied,” I mumbled. “I just didn’t want hyungs to find out and stay here to take care of me instead of going out.”
“I understand.” He handed me a box of tissues as Kookie returned.
“Can I get you anything else?” He asked.
I brought a hand up to my face and shook my head. “NGXTchh! hehNGXTtchiew! Oh— HATCHheh!”
“Bless you, bless you, hyung.” Jungkook rubbed my back.
“Bless you,” Tae cooed. “You alright?”
I shrugged. “I don’t feel well.” I rested my head on his shoulder.
“I know.” Tae ran his fingers through my hair. “I’m sorry.”
“How about I make dinner a bit early so you can head to bed.” Jungkook hugged me from behind and left to the kitchen.
“Okay,” I replied before my breath hitched. “hetchhii!”
“Aww, tiny sneeze.” Taehyung blessed me again and sighed.
********time skip********
When I was finished eating, Jungkook brought me to bed.
“Can you stay?” I asked him. “I just don’t feel good and I don’t want to be alone.”
He nodded and laid down next to me to give me cuddles. “Just try to sleep, hyung. I got you.”
“Hold on a second.” I quickly ducked away from him as much as I could despite being wrapped in his arms. “hehTCHIEW! Choseomnida.”
“Bless you, it’s okay.”
“Thank you,” I murmured sleepily before shutting my eyes.
“Sleep well, hyung.” He kissed the top of my head. “Don’t worry, I’ll tell the members you’re sick later.”

Just a stomach ache (rewrite)
Sickie: Jungkook
Caretakers: Namjoon and Seokjin
TW: Emeto, medically inaccurate, pain, stomach aches mentions of vom!t
———
*Knock knock knock*
“Who is it?” Jungkook mumbles sitting up in his bed and glancing over at the door. “It's Namjoon,” the older man says sounding a bit weak  “What is it hyung,” Jungkook starts sleepily “It's the middle of the night”
“I don't feel well kook-ah.” Jungkook looks worried at the sudden announcement “Why? What's wrong”  “My stomach hurts...” Namjoon states placing his hands on his abdomen, his pale face now becoming more clear to the youngest. “Will you be okay?” The rapper gives no response and suddenly passes out. “Hyung!?”
Jungkook gasps and looks around him, sighing in relief when he realizes It was just a nightmare, a horrible horrible nightmare. He decides he should go to Namjoon's room and check to see if he was truly alright but when Jungkook shuffles forward in his bed his stomach gifts him with a rather nasty cramp.
He winces and rubs his stomach adding pressure in an attempt to massage away the pain but it's unsuccessful and he just causes himself more discomfort. Although the sudden pain is an inconvenience he still manages to make it to Namjoon's room, Minus a slight detour to the medicine cabinet for some Pepto Bismol.
Jungkook knocks on his hyungs bedroom door and awaits a response. “Jungkook...? What's wrong? ” Namjoon asks looking up from his novel. “I had a bad dream about you hyung, you said u felt ill and I wasn't much help to you, and then you just, well, fainted,” Jungkook says freaking out a little “So I came to check if you were okay."
Namjoon smiles at the boy's cuteness and bursts out laughing “Oh Jungkook, what am I going to do with you it was just a dream silly of course I'm fine.”
Jungkook nods slowly and goes to sit on Namjoons bed, the older pulling him into a hug as he does so. They lie like that and chat for a while until Jungkook starts squirming around in the rapper's arms. Namjoon releases him, “You alright?”
The youngest lets out a sound of agreement, “Yeah my stomach just feels weird.” Namjoon looks the boy over scanning for any visual symptoms such as pale skin or flushed cheeks but there are non. “Weird how?” Namjoon asks trying to get a grip on the situation.
“Weird like cramps, random cramps,” Jungkook answers palming his stomach gently. He tries to think of a logical diagnosis for himself but they all seem too extreme. “When did they start?”
The vocalist thinks for a second before answering, “Just before I came to your room, I was getting out of bed then it happened.” Namjoon nods and opens his mouth to speak but is cut off by a low gurgle from the youngest's tummy.
Jungkook lets out a groan at the sudden commotion in his insides. “Did you eat something bad?” “No, just the pasta you made.” Jungkook yawns and then grins, “That was probably it then.”
Namjoon playfully rolls his eyes, “Hey, my cooking isn't that bad you know.” He looks next to him and sees Jungkook gradually falling asleep so he stops talking. He pulls the covers over the vocalist and strokes his hair till he's fully asleep.
— — —
Namjoon lies in his bed fast asleep, he'd only just decided to put the book down and snooze. (I love that word, snooze. A cheeky snooze) Unfortunately, his sleep is disturbed by a bright light coming from under the bathroom, he tries to ignore it but it's just too bright.
As he gets up to turn it off he notices Jungkook missing, ‘maybe Jungkook's using it’ he thinks to himself. But when he goes to knock on the door weak-looking Jungkook staggers out. Namjoon was stunned he looked way worse than he did earlier on.
“Hyung? Did I wake you up 'm sorry” Jungkook manages to say his voice almost a whisper. Namjoon speaks up “No, no you didn't wake me up kook-ah but what's wrong?” The youngest cheeks flush with embarrassment “I threw up... I'm sorry” he says tears forming in his eyes.
Namjoons heart breaks at younger words “Aww Jungkook, don't be sorry you can't help it, baby.” Namjoon pulls the boy into a hug rubbing his back gently. It seems to be helping calm the maknae so Namjoon is caught off guard when the Jk suddenly pushes off him and bolts back into the bathroom.
*GLARGBLE * (best retching ever okay 👌🏾😭)
Jungkook bends over the bowl, bringing up everything he'd had for dinner. His hand are wrapped tightly around his stomach and his breathing is fast and painful. Namjoon follows him in and gasps, “Oh Jungkook, you poor thing” he cooes
Jungkook doesn't say anything but nods his head he truly feels horrible. After a good 10 minutes, he finishes vomiting he wipes his mouth and flushes the toilet. As he prepares to stand up his vision suddenly starts to go spotty and he passes out luckily landing on Namjoon.
The rapper sits there in shock and worry, he doesn't quite know what to do all he truly knows is something is seriously wrong with Jungkook. Namjoon pulls out his phone and calls Seokjin he would know what to do as the oldest. Wouldn't he?
“Yah Namjoon-ah it's 2 in the morning what do you need,” Seokjin asks sounding annoyed his beauty sleep was interrupted. “It's Jungkook he's really poorly. He's thrown up for ages and he's just fainted" Seokjin ends the calls and fast footsteps are soon heard through the hallway.
He busts into Namjoon's room and finds a worried Namjoon with a pale unconscious Jungkook in his lap. “Oh my god” Seokjin exclaims “What- how did this happen?” Namjoon puts a hand on his head, “I don't know he said he had stomach cramps and then he puked lots then he just..” he gestures down to him and Jin gets the point.
“We need to take him to the hospital, Joon I think he's really unwell, feel his forehead he's burning up” Just then jungkook starts to regain consciousness. His eyes flutter open but then he hugs his stomach and whines in agony. “Oh, hyung,” Jungkook says abruptly.
Seokjin smiles nervously and gives a small wave before saying “Jungkook honey, we're gonna take u to the hospital, okay, something's not right ” Jungkook makes a face and shakes his head “Noo, I'm not going to the hospital I'm finee seee” he says weakly before promptly leaning forward and vomiting.
"Oh," he mutters before passing out again. “Joon call an ambulance,” Seokjin says strong authority in his voice. “Already on it hyung” They both look at Jungkook scared about what's wrong with him but they know he'll be okay since he's their golden maknae.
— — —
“Acute Appendicitis,” The doctor says “He needs to go to surgery immediately.” “Will he be okay?” Namjoon asks biting his lip anxiously. “Yes you brought him in in time, he will be just fine”
Seokjin and Namjoon both thank the doctor and wait in the waiting room until Jungkooks surgery is over. They're happy they got the boy in at the right time because they don't know what they would do without their golden maknae who they loved so much.
—After the surgery—
Both Jin and joon are allowed into the room to see jungkook he looks much better than earlier and he looks peaceful in his sleep. Seokjin goes over and hold his hand masarging it gently “I love you jungkook but if you ever get sick like this again hyung's heart might just break” Namjoon hums in agreement. “Sorry hyung,”Jungkook whispers “I love you too.”
