I have this weird theory (which is, actually, not a theory, it's a fact) that writers who write fics dealing with things they've been through, use it as a way to cope.

I literally never read a fic about the main character getting over their trauma quickly and effortlessly.

Like, it's always them having this huge breakdown, before actually starting to get better. And if I'm being honest, it always seems unrealistic, I get that everyone get through trauma effects differently but it always seems like 'something no one would do' (please don't take this badly I'm just writing what's on my mind)

I think, some writers copes by writing their comfort characters breaking down over something they personally went through, it's their way of breaking down,

Writing characters sobbing, talking, getting hugged, getting promises that things are going to get better (...) it's literally everything someone healing needs.

It's like no one can actually do that, you can't breakdown out of nowhere and talk about everything that hurts you.

So you write

I'm assuming that since a lot of jd shippers have migrated to orv through danmei fandoms, they mostly seem to prefer the rather typical viewpoint by ticking off boxes for what according to them, makes a man seem like a bottom. Which does mean that they'll be focused on those characteristics and so they seem to disregard the other parts. I've seen ppl who analyse meta more open to them being switch of course. I'd say that both of them are the type to give as good as they get. But I love Dokjoong.

They really do focus on such characteristics and disregard the other parts.

Sorry this has to be said - some Tamino fans need to chill in public. I was at the Toronto show and some girls were screaming some gross and cringey things really loud and it seemed to really make him uncomfortable. He'd be polite and just quietly try to move on but they wouldn't stop. He's a person - how'd you like it if people made sexual comments to you at your job???

yeah, some people really don't have any boundaries. like fine, get it out of your system on the internet (not on his accounts though), but don't actually go around yelling obscenities out in public where he can hear. & it seems so out of place at his shows??? where everyone is always so sweet & respectful.  also, i know that there are artists who kind of encourage some of it with their stage personas, but tamino is definitely not one of them. leave the poor boy alone for god's sake.

Yeah. I don't get how there's still people claiming Elvis might be alive or that he faked his death somehow. As much as I wish that were true, we all know it's not. I'm certain that he would never abandon his family like that, especially his daughter.

It's unfortunate how rumors like that circulate around famous people like that, especially those like Elvis or Marilyn Monroe. I think part of it has to do with the fact that we love them so much - we don't want to believe that they were human, that we have to let them go. For some, it's easier to believe that they faked their own death or something than to accept what really happened.

I just rewatched David Tennant’s doctor regeneration into Matt Smith scene and I totally forgot that the Ood sing him a song as he goes. It’s one of the first times in a long time where he’s alone it’s Christmas, he’s scared and struggling to stand and “the universe sings him to sleep”. Even when he doesn’t have a companion the whole universe sings him to sleep, he’s never truly alone the universe is thanking him for his sacrifice and care in his last moments.
