Chapter thirty-one: our couple aregyu 🩵🧡

⎙ synopsis: In which you and Soobin have a crush on the others bff, who which coincidentally, are dating. So you do what any other people with a common goal would, and try to break them up. Except it doesn't go exactly as planned...

As soon as class ends Soobin makes his way out to his locker, quickly grabbing his sweater and putting his books away before heading out of the building.

If he was being honest he was some what excited? To go and spend some time with his friends again (as well as the fact he would love some free money to spend on games). It had been some time since he had hung out with Heeseung and Jeongin, let alone Beomgyu. As they've both been preoccupied with other things.

One being the painful sight of having to see his best friend, and his crush eating each other's faces in the hallway. And maybe that was a little dramatic but still! It was something that would definitely be ingrained into his head no matter how much he wanted to forget it.

More over, he had to see you. Which, he was more than open to admit his distaste towards being in your presence, and you the same.

After the little argument the two of you had he's been in a worse mood then he would like to admit. You were just so pushy with EVERYTHING and he couldn't stand it. Boundaries? He was pretty sure you didn't know what those were. It was annoying him to say the least, but fortunately he needn't say anything when Beomgyu knew him like the back of his hand. He immediately sensed something was wrong and asked Soobin to come hangout.

He was happy to have a best friend who knew him so well, which also made him feel worse for even bothering with you in the first place. All this just to "not" break them up but "break them up" he was pretty sure even you were confused.

He felt a little guilty for agreeing to go along with your idea, but in its own way he's hoping all this would help him get over the bubbly student council president, thats what he's hoping at least.

Reaching the gates of the school he immediately noticed his friends, loud and running around like children. 'Why are they like this? ' Soobin thought to himself waiting for them to calm down and finally notice his presence. Thankfully that didn't take long as they greeted him happily patting his back.

Maybe this is exactly what he needed.

Y/N POV

You were ecstatic to say the least. You've finally gotten a chance to hangout with your dearest best friend again. Areum has always been a busy person but she has also always made time for you. Sometimes maybe a little too late but you could never hold it against her.

Walking into the store you were absolutely elated. You weren't a big fan of reading honestly, a wall of text really wasn't your go to, but stylized drawings along with smaller walls of text? Sign you up! The smell of books, the stationary you thought was too cute to use but would buy anyway, the merch of your favorite media, made you love this place.

Areum on the other hand was a big fan of those walls of texts. She actually didn't quite understand why you preferred comics and manga over a good book but she listened wholeheartedly whenever you talked about them. She was a great friend, more than you could say about yourself at the moment. But that was something you for you to push in the way back of your mind once again. 'Future me can deal with consequences right? ' and 'Enjoy the moment let's not go feeling guilty ' were all you said to yourself.

The two of you walked around the store together eventually picking out these cute sanrio matching keychains for each other.

"Areum I'm going to look at the manga 'kay?" you announced, to which she nodded and you walked off.

"today's going to be a good day I'm sure of it!" you assure yourself with a hearty pep in your step.

well, when do things ever go as planned?

SOOBIN POV/MIXED

"Choi Soobin?" Soobin freezes at the the call of his name. That voice was all too familiar and not in a good way.

Turning from his original position slightly, he slowly cranks his neck up to meet the person who assumingly called him. Eyes trailing up suspiciously only to be met with none other than you. Arms crossed, foot tapping, with that ugly look of annoyance you always wore on your face looking down on him.

"Why are you here?!" you whisper yelled at him, causing him to roll his eyes in return.

What? could he not be in a perfectly public place when you're around now? He already has to at school, one more place wouldn't kill you, unfortunately. Soobin scoffs at your question, getting up from his position on the floor to stand in front of you mimicking your expression and stance as he raises his eye brow at you "It's a public book store, and I like books-" he motions to the wall of manga behind him before pursing his lips at using the word 'books' "-manga." he corrects.

You glare at him for a moment and he swears he's never wanted someone away from him more in his life. A 10 foot pole wouldn't even be enough distance between the two of you. He didn't need your nonsensical bickering today, or anyday preferably for that matter.

He was supposed to be enjoying himself with his friends trying to win a cheap reward for a cafe he barely even gets to go to anymore, he is not supposed to be agitated and talking to you.

Just as he's about to turn back around, clearly opting to ignore you, you grab his arm much to his surpise and discomfort. "Are you here with Gyu?" you suddenly ask.

'Of course that's what she would ask ' he thinks to himself, and for a moment he contemplates lying to you, because well, why should he tell you? But as if you read his mid (which is something he never thought was possible) you open your mouth again.

"Listen before you say anything I'm here with Areum thats why I'm asking" you state throwing a thump over you shoulder in the direction of the shorter who was currently flipping through a book.

As he looked in her direction an expression of "She looks so cute" was practically written all over his face.

You roll your eyes.

Coincidentally at that moment she must have felt someone staring as she turns to peak over her shoulder only to meet eyes with Soobin. Her brows shoot up in a pleasant surprise before going back to normal, she smiles brightly sending him a wave.

Soobin feels his heart beat quicken for a moment at the small gesture before slowly waving back dumbly. Only looking back in your direction when you let out a particularly noisy groan.

"Great, she's probably coming over here now. Is he here or not?"

"Uh, yeah he's at the game shop next door. I didn't want anything so I came here.." Soobin trails off still staring at the girl who is now, in fact walking over to the two of you. Hes not sure if he should be happy about this or still annoyed with the fact he had ran into you in the first place. Unfortunately you don't give him enough time to weigh the pros and cons of it before you harshly step (more like stomp) on his foot.

"Ow!" Soobin winces quickly kneeling down to hold his foot, maybe he really didn't have to think about the pros and cons.

"Leave before Beomgyu comes in here and looks for you, would'ya?"

"Why should I when you just assaulted me??" he snaps.

"Because I'm sure you also don't want to spend your day out with our lovely couple, now do you?" you argue back crossing your arms over your chest like some know-it-all.

But at that he silences, you were right, unfortunately, but you were right. And as much as he tells himself he would be okay with just being in her presence, recently that hasn't really been the case.

Maybe its been like that for a while now and he's just refused to acknowledge it, but either way it's not the time to be dwelling on it. He doesn't have the chance to anyway as Areum had reached them.

"Hey, Soobin! I didn't know you'd be here" Areum says with a tilt of her head as she smiles him.

That smile will be the death of him he swears. So much so he fails to give her a reply other than just blinking slowly at her.

But that doesn't seem to phase her as she speaks again "If you're here by yourself do you want to join us?" she asks, probably out of courtesy. But if it was any other day he'd be saying yes.

A simple "uh" is all he manages to let out before you take it upon yourself to speak for him.

"He can't! He was actually just leaving right Soobin??" you question through gritted teeth.

"Ah... yeah actually, I remembered I have something to do, sorry.." he mumbles scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh no, its okay! I just thought I'd ask. Have fun doing what you have to!"

"Yeah thanks.." Soobin says bye to Areum and sends you a glare before leaving the two of you.

"C'mon y/n ready to check out?"

"Huh? Yeah let me just grab this last thing."

Last week was really rough due to some health issues, but I'm slowly working through them. No success on the scanner front though, so that whole thing continues to be up in the air.

This blog is where I go to post about stuff I like though, so that's what I'm going to do. Here are a few highlights from the last few days.

G-Witch Doujinshi!

I was lucky enough to score a copy of the G-Witch staff book from Comiket for not-the-worst price in the world . Look at how shiny those rings are, suck shit Bandai. (Seriously though, can't wait for that book to arrive with a few other things, the G-Witch team went all out and it looks gorgeous.)

Paripri Koumei mini-album!

They're really releasing an IRL "Dreamer" mini-album (per the manga) on October 25, which is giving me the energy to go on. Flower crown!!! hot chill hot!!! I cannot wait to listen to it on repeat for at least a month and thoroughly skew my Spotify Wrapped for the year.

Cheap Kageki Shojo!! R4 Blu-ray!

The ungodly fusion of Madman and Crunchyroll in Australia hasn't given shoujo fans a whole lot of anything, but they did manage to release Kageki Shojo!! this time last year. I finally broke down and bought it locally because the complete blu-ray set is currently $20AU in the distributor's winter sale. So there's a pro-tip for fellow local shoujo fans who are also poor as shit.

In terms of cheap-as bargains from that sale I'd also recommend the ACCA bd set for $20AU and the Flip Flappers bd set for $23.98.

More Fujii Mihona digital releases!

A new GALS!! digital anthology and another chapter of the new Ryuu-ou Mahoujin arc? Yes please! While they don't have a date yet, the promise of these releases in the coming weeks has me excited... Although I still haven't made good on my promise to re-read the OG volumes. ;o;

That's about all I can think of right now!

I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of things, but these were the highlights. If I can get on top of my pain this week I'd like to do some more reading/watching of things, but we'll see how things go. Thanks for sticking with me.

what little attention i have at the moment has been going into time after time but there's a lot of ideas constantly swirling around in my head and i've wanted a place to put some of them. shockingly, these aren't even all of my wips. yeah, i know.

Note(s): Ooh this is an interesting concept. Still upset that DIO didn't have enough super amazing vampire/joestar blood to heal Kakyoin too, but whatever Araki. (Joseph got his arm and leg cut off, Speedwagon Foundation can fix a hole in someone's stomach. It's anime).

Kakyoin Surviving

Silver Chariot shot his sword out at the clock in his final moments so Joseph could figure out the secret to The World.

The issue is I can see Kakyoin sticking by Jotaro's side instead of hiding for a surprise attack like Polnareff did (although I guess Kakyoin would do both). It's very close and he almost does die but Jotaro saves him.

I like the idea of Kakyoin still getting pretty messed up with DIO's fight. The idea of him still becoming a donut but living through it this time is nice. Has those scars and Speedwagon Foundation robotics to save his internal organs.

Does his best to attend a funeral for Polnareff, wishing that he can find peace with his sister now.

Kakyoin going to Morioh with Joseph, offering to take care of the old man on the trip since he's still feeling phantom pain and loads of PTSD from the Egypt trip. Jotaro has his thing of blocking out emotions but Kakyoin had gotten in tune with his too much so he thinks it's just best to come later with Joseph instead of going when Jotaro does (also Kakyoin doesn't want to intrude on Joestar/Kujo/Higashikata family matters with the whole Josuke situation).

Another one that loves Koichi, so much bonding over manga. Kakyoin getting excited about Rohan being near too (much to Josuke and Jotaro's chagrin).

Kakyoin talking to Jotaro about the arrows and ends up going to Italy in search of what's going on, essentially taking Polnareff's place in Part 5 (although I'm still salty Polnareff was stuck in the damn turtle and hate that fate for Kakyoin too).

I wonder if Kakyoin would have a family and kids by this point though. If he would allow someone else to see him vulnerable enough for that relationship. I like to imagine that if he did then of course his kids will be friends with Jotaro's. Absolutely would want any son of his to date Jolyne, much to Jotaro's chagrin (Jotaro trusts Kakyoin, but he's still a dad and doesn't want to think of his daughter dating/marrying anyone too soon). Of course, if his son ends up being gay then he's very proud and will be judging his son's taste in men accordingly.

Things I expected from MHA because of the fandom VS canon

I started actively watching MHA last october, after dropping it years ago because the first two minutes bored me.

But in october I caught a fever and had absolutely 0 energy, so all I could do was resting on the sofa and watching TV. I decided to give MHA another chance, it looked chill and lighthearted after all, and I actually enjoyed it.

In fact, I enjoyed it so much I finished the whole thing in no time, and dragged one of my best friends along. In December I rewatched it with him again and ordered all the manga (including Smash, Team-Up Missions and the characters books). Now I'm up to date with every chapter, have merchandise, cosplays, read hundreds of fanfics and written a couple myself, and plan to go to one of the biggest conventions here in Italy all because of it.

I can almost say it saved me at the time. It wasn't a nice period, and MHA helped me a lot to ease my mind, find comfort and understand things from my own childhood. It gave me something to be excited for (like the weekly updates and the new season), other people to talk to, a creativity boost and even a job.

BUT!

I arrived in the fandom quite late, and the biggest reveals and theories had been already made (no, I didn't expect Dabi to be Touya, so thank you fandom for spoiling this :'D I was so mad!).

So here's a list of every difference between fanon and canon that shocked me - in other words, what happened in the manga that I didn't expect because of fans' headcanons. I'll keep this updated for my own pleasure v.v

EraserMic family & Shinso: I sincerely thought that Aizawa and Hizashi would be living together with Shinso and Eri (blame this on denki.darling on TikTok), and that we'd be seeing Shinso more frequently.

Hawks and the LoV: I believed Hawks would be spending some time with the whole gang, including Shigaraki, but they never actually met! He didn't even stay at their hideout, he only knew the PLF mansion in Gunga!

Hawks and Dabi: This is a tough one, as they're my supreme OTP. As I remarked in another post, they only share 6 canon moments together. Six. It's nothing. I was really convinced there would be more scenes of them together, also to build up the divorce betrayal scene, but there weren't. I started shipping them because of the fandom, not the anime, and only later caught up with the manga, so I spent a couple of days feeling really stupid and sad and questioning myself on why would I ship them if they really barely talked to each other. We don't even know about their first encounter! But eventually I sobered up and started shipping them even harder. Also, I totally fell for the childhood friends thing. Another stab in my heart when I found out it was purely fanon.

Dabi's past: Reading plenty of fanfiction, I thought Enji phisically forced him to train his quirk and that was the reason why Touya burned up and became Dabi, so when I read Dabi's past in the manga I was very lost, to say the least. I couldn't get it. Endeavor surely wasn't a nice father, but he wanted to protect Touya from his own quirk. He didn't push him! Instead, he pleaded him to let it go and focus on other things. It was Touya who did that to himself, and now throwing a tantrum because his dad didn't pay attention to him anymore. I started to dislike the character, and man, was I wrong. I reevaluated his whole story after chapter 350 in April. Seeing Touya like that, seeing him being afraid, alone, heartbroken and still wanting to apologize and put everything behind him broke me. And then he comes home to a household that seems to have forgotten about him, to a father that still beats his children, and that was his last straw, the final confirmation that his life never had meaning. Only then I started reading character analysis and understanding the truth. That neglecting children is abuse. That feeding a child with dreams up to the point they become his whole world and purpose and then stripping him from them is abuse. I was so blind to this and to my own childhood, because something very similar happened to me. Since then, I began relating to Touya a lot more. Not justifying his actions but understanding his pain.

Deku's corruption: This is stupid, but I was almost convinced he actually would have joined the League to be with Toga XD

Suruga-Ya Art Book Haul

It's crazy. I made this order Friday night, and it's at my doorstep Wednesday afternoon. And I didn't even pay for shipping thanks to the campaign that Suruga-ya was running. The average cost of a book here is under 10CAD, all said and done, so I really can't recommend giving it a shot if you're looking for art books.

Anyways, these are the ones I grabbed, and I'd love to take a walk through each of them and why I got them.

Prince Universe - Mutsumi Inomata

This is the first, and oldest art book in the haul, and that age and position comes with reason. Inomata is an insanely tenured animator, dating all the way back into the end of the 70s. They've worked on series like City Hunter, Saint Seiya, Maison Ikkoku, and many many others. One of the best things about the art book is the age of the style, and not in a bad way. No, these drawings have aged like fine wine over the years and are very beautiful.

Hydrogen - Tsuruta Kenji

Need I really say anything? It's Tsuruta Kenji, incredible art and a healthy side of nudity are present in everything they do. Really though, I think what I like most about Hydrogen is its range, opening with a short manga and ending with a large amount of black & white line art. Though who am I kidding, his works that are done in color are still incredible, and there's something that I just love about his character designs.

Boogiepop And Others - Koji Ogata

Despite its relative popularity for the era, Boogiepop isn't something that really ends up talked about all that much. But I'm a big fan of it and its style/designs, so I had to pick up the art book from the illustrator for the light novels.

Nostalgia - Tsukiji Nao

Admittedly, I'd not heard of Nao before finding this art book. But I saw the cover and knew I wanted it, and now I'm in the middle of reading Adekan as its got me in its grips, and for good reason. Nao's art is incredibly beautiful, and I'd say the "best" out of this batch of art books.

Mix Noise - Misaki Saitou

Saitou is just a damn good artist. Their style presents a discernable age, and a very palpable edge that I just can't get enough of. They're not on the level of Nao, but it's a style of art that I could look at all day long. Side note, the art for the second was for the cover of a manga. Yeah, imagine seeing art like that on a manga. I'd immediately pick it up.

Okamarble -Okama

Despite my excitement and interest in the artist, I don't know if I'm the biggest fan of this art book. Okama is known for having storyboarded some pieces of the stunning Kubikiri Cycle ONA as well as doing some art for Arakawa Under The Bridge and even character designs for some other SHAFT series. I do think their art is pretty, I'm just not a fan of the more erotic nature of the book at large (which delves into full on nudity towards the end). So yeah, I don't think this is an art book for people that aren't die hard Kubikiri Cycle/SHAFT fans, but the art within is still really good.

Step2 - Hisashi Eguchi

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a fan of Hisashi Eguchi. I love their design sense, and am a massive sucker for their color design and style of shading/lighting. Buttttttt I got this art book because of the Sonny Boy art in it. I know, sue me, but this is just about the only art book out there that has Sonny Boy art in it from a staff member on the anime.

World of The Tapir - Shizuku

In a world where it feels like there's a near unlimited amount of great artists, how do you separate yourself? Well, what separates them for me is color design. Having fresh and unique art that plays on color and provides a strong sense of individuality is a surefire way to get my attention like World of The Tapir did. Not that the art itself isn't pretty, but the color design is what really singled it out for me.

Kaleidoscope - Keiko Takemiya

Being a part of the Year 24 group is introduction enough, I feel. But I'll keep going. Being a pioneer not of just shoujo manga, but manga in general, Takemiya has a pretty impressive bit of history behind her, which this book details. Not so much "art book" as it is "visual memoir", it's a very interesting piece that I'll be slowly digesting over time alongside it's timelessly pretty art.

1017 - Toinana

I...don't have anything to write for this art book. Toinana is an illustrator that I found on pixiv and so I stumbled across this art book. I love their character designs for how busy and creative they are, but I don't really have any sort of history to explain with them because I don't know too much, really.

Asai Genji / Kusanaga Rin Artworks

I've been a fan of Kusanaga Rin's artwork in The Faraway Paladin since I first laid eyes on the covers for the series, so imagine my surprise when I found out they had a penname. Even further, imagine my excitement in finding out they've done art for Fate (among plenty of other video games). If you want art closer to the video game side of JP culture then I can definitely recommend this one.

And so finally that's the end of the list. There's a lot of art for me to enjoy in these books, so I'll certainly be taking my time with them. But not too sow though, have to make sure I've got a clean slate for the next time suruga-ya has a free shipping sale. Seriously, even with the minor price differences between the JP and global website, the free shipping makes books like these a steal. Absolutely love art within books that are in outstanding or even borderline amazing condition, there's not really a way you could go wrong if you're looking for this stuff.

Hope Universe Chronicles: Makoto and Tenko's First Date!

Hello everyone, recently these past few weeks, well actually since last month I've been working on this little story of mine. Really it's because I'm inspired by people like @putaindeplagieur and @pyropsychiccollector who are great writers. Hell, even @makoto-naegi-stud-and-friends is incredible with his smut and he's a fellow brother-in-arms as a Naegi shipper! (Check him out!) But I also wanted to showcase some of the more rare ships or crack ships and try my hardest to sell the romance. Usually I'll just throw a couple of pics and call it a day but eh, some things can't escape my brain XD Please also keep in mind I'm not a writer (even though @pyropsychiccollector insists I should write more XDDD) so I want honest reactions! Also Hope Universe Chronicles are....snapshots of different moments in time of the hope universe. It can range from class 78-A first month to their graduation to weddings to baby showers and even kids going to school. Like my family bonding stuff it's just a...it's like a picture book of a giant family album. Or in this case a story. Maybe a story Tenko tells to her kids, or maybe a story Makoto tells to his kids about when he first fell in love with Tenko. Who knows? Anyway, without further ado enjoy~

Makoto and Tenko arrived at the park for their first date get-together, enjoying the cool breeze and the rustling of the leaves. The sound of birds chirping and the soft sunlight filtering through the trees made it feel like a peaceful sanctuary from the rest of the world. A haven away from the madness and chaos of Hope's Peak with Tenko's eyes lighting up at the sight of the open space. "Wow, this is such a great place for training," she said with excitement.

Makoto chuckled at her enthusiasm, "Well, we're not here to train, we're here to have fun and get to know each other."

Tenko nodded and smiled, "Right, I'm sorry. I'm just really passionate about martial arts."

Makoto smiled back, "No need to apologize. I think it's great that you're so passionate about something."

As they walked through the park, they talked about their interests and hobbies. Tenko shared stories about her experiences training in martial arts preferably how amazing Neo Aikidio is over everything else, while Makoto told her about his love for detective work and solving mysteries.

Tenko's eyes widened with admiration, "Wow, you must be really smart to be into that detective stuff!" Well...It didn't exactly hurt that he's been helping Kyoko, Mikoto, Sachi, Mekuru...wait a minute. Isn't that way too many people? Probably not.

Makoto chuckled, "I'm not sure about that, but I do enjoy solving puzzles and mysteries."

Tenko looked at Makoto with a newfound admiration, "You know, you're really cool. Not just because you're a detective, but because you're a really kind person. I kinda feel terrible for calling you a degenerate when he first met....W-Wait! What am I saying?! All degenerates are bad, you're just the exemption!"

Makoto blushed, "Thanks, Tenko. You're pretty cool too, with your martial arts skills and your ability to read people's emotions even if you have an uh....unique way of doing so." Yeah. Tenko was STRONG. And who ever heard of tossing someone in order to read their emotions??? That was something you'd see out of a shonen manga!

Tenko beamed, "Really? You think so? Sometimes I worry that I come off too strong. I also know you're not comfortable with me calling....the "others" degenerates." Ah. He could visibly see her shiver in disgust when she brought up talking about guys. Still, she HAS been trying to make progress! Seriously! I mean now she only tosses guys after three sentences instead of one!

Makoto reassured her, "No, not at all. I think it's great that you're so passionate about something, and your ability to read people's emotions is really impressive."

Tenko's face lit up with joy and a blush, "Thank you, Makoto. That...means a lot actually." Crap. Makoto could see Tenko's cute side. She was still at the end of the day a normal girl (minus everything else of course).

Makoto noticed Tenko's blush and felt his own cheeks heat up. He cleared his throat and changed the subject, "So, what else do you like to do besides martial arts?"

Tenko's expression shifted to one of contemplation, "Hmm, well, I like to spend time with my friends and mentor, and I also enjoy meditating to clear my mind."

Makoto nodded, "That's really cool. I've always been interested in meditation, but I've never really tried it myself." Mostly because Makoto Naegi's daily life was never peaceful. Never. Whether it was dealing with the more extreme personalities like Junko, Kanade, or Ibuki or hell even just getting constant death stares from every guy in the school, Makoto knew his life was only just going to get more hectic. Meditation was definitely something he would love Tenko to teach him

Tenko smiled, "I can show you sometime if you'd like. It's really helpful for clearing your thoughts and focusing your mind."

Makoto smiled back, "I'd like that, thanks."

They continued walking through the park, enjoying each other's company and the peaceful surroundings. Tenko's eyes sparkled as she saw a group of people practicing martial arts in the distance, "Oh, can we go watch them for a bit?"

Makoto nodded and followed her over to the group. They watched in awe as the martial artists performed various techniques and forms, and Tenko even joined in for a bit, demonstrating some of her Neo Aikido moves. Of course, given that Tenko is well...an Ultimate she clearly was ten, no twenty steps above the rest. It also didn't hurt that Tenko was not only very fluid but incredibly graceful in her movements.

Makoto was impressed, no. Awestruck. She looked so stunning when she was going through her Kata's and showing off her stance and movements to the others. He was seriously falling for her. "Wow, you're really talented! Have you ever considered teaching martial arts?" I mean

Tenko's face lit up with excitement, How did Makoto have this natural ability to pick up on things like that? "Actually, I have! I've always wanted to share my passion with others and help them learn self-defense against dege---uhh....Bad guys! Y-Yeah! That's what I meant!"

Makoto smiled and sweatdropped a bit (She WAS trying at least), "I think that's a great idea. I'm sure you'd be an amazing teacher."

Tenko beamed with pride and gratitude, but more importantly, she was trying her best to hide a blush from the compliment. Why now? Why all of a sudden?! It was just a harmless, simple praise so *WHY* did it make her heart beat so suddenly? Was it the fact that she saw how Makoto looked at her like she was the most perfect thing in existence when she was teaching that random group some of her moves? Was it the fact that he always brought out the good in her and even others? Was it even because out of all the deg...."others" that he truly CARED? No. He genuinely respected her and shared in her passion. She couldn't deny it. She was seriously falling for him.

As they continued walking, Makoto noticed Tenko seemed lost in thought. "Is everything okay?" he asked, concerned. He hoped he didn't say or do anything to mess up this moment together. He knew why Tenko had such disdain towards other guys, hell every guy beside him and there was a part of him that was afraid that he upset her somehow.

Tenko shook her head, "Yeah, everything's fine. I was just thinking about something." Keep it cool. Just don't reveal that you're falling for Makoto. Simple.

Makoto smiled, "Well, if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here to listen."

Tenko's heart skipped a beat at his words. She had never felt this way about anyone before. It was like Makoto could read her thoughts and knew exactly what to say to make her feel better. She was falling for him hard and fast. Her master didn't teach her how to navigate the hardest challenge ever. Love.

They walked side by side, enjoying the comfortable silence between each other when Tenko suddenly stumbled over a tree root and lost her balance.

Makoto quickly grabbed her arm to steady her, but in the process, they both lost their footing and fell to the ground in a heap. They both laughed as they dusted themselves off, and that's when Makoto noticed something.

"Tenko, your face is red," he said, concerned. She wasn't hurt was she? Or maybe she was angry? Crap. Did touching her by accident make her super uncomfortable? A thousand scenarios were running through his mind, he didn't want to upset everything with his new friend.

Tenko quickly tried to hide her blush, "I-I'm fine! It's just a little hot out." Honestly, she knew it was flimsy but she at least had to try something. Makoto could be pretty oblivious so she was hoping against all hope that this was one of those moments

Makoto didn't buy it, why NOW of all times did he become super observant?!?! "Are you sure? Your face is really red. Maybe we should sit down for a bit."

Tenko couldn't help but feel flustered. Why was she getting so embarrassed over something so small AGAIN? "No, no, I'm fine, really." Another bad lie and she knew it was just a matter of time. Why did couldn't she just tell him how she feels? Why didn't her master teach her how to navigate this? What if Makoto doesn't love her like he loves the others? Was she too manly? Was she too forceful with her anti-male rhetoric? More importantly, what if he said "No." With a hundred different thoughts turning into a whirlpool of negative energy, Tenko decided to do what she promised to teach Makoto. Meditate. She needed to purge these insecurities and figure out the best course of action! At the end of the day it was no different from sparring right? Learn your opponent's weakness while taking advantage of your strength. These thoughts needed to simply be beaten.

Makoto didn't push the matter any further, but he couldn't help but feel like there was something else going on with Tenko. They continued walking in silence for a few moments which felt like an eternity between the two until Tenko finally spoke up. This....she was gambling everything on this. She finally figured out that the best course of action was to be direct. To go on the offensive!

"Hey Makoto," she said, her voice a little quieter than usual.

Makoto turned to her, "Yeah, what's up?"

Tenko took a deep breath, "I just wanted to say...thank you. For being such a good friend to me."

Makoto smiled, "Of course, Tenko. You're a great person and a great martial artist. It's an honor to be your friend."

Tenko smiled back, but her heart was racing. She knew she couldn't keep her feelings bottled up anymore. She took another deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to say. This was it. The decisive moment. The indescribable situation like when both fighters know someone will win or lose.

"Makoto...I don't just see you as a friend. I-I have feelings for you," she blurted out, her face turning even redder than before.

Makoto's eyes widened in surprise, but then a smile spread across his face. "Tenko, I feel the same way. I've been trying to figure out how to tell you for a while now." Was it when he agreed to help be the manager of her Aikido club with only the two of them as members? Was it when she protected him from a group of bullies due to their jealousy? Or was it that very first day Class 79-A first enrolled and they met eyes that one Tuesday morning after homeroom?

Tenko couldn't believe it. She had been so afraid that Makoto didn't feel the same way, but now he was telling her that he liked her too. And her mind was truly empty. She.....She didn't know what to say or do at this moment. Her confession was accepted yes, but she never prepared for what to do after. They just stared at each other, Warm-Green meeting Hazel. Engulfing each other in the middle of the day in some random park they decided to go to.

But that perfect moment with neither saying anything yet understanding everything was softly coming to its conclusion.

Makoto leaned in and gently kissed her, and Tenko's heart skipped a beat. It was a soft, sweet kiss that made her feel like she was floating on air. She wrapped her arms around Makoto's neck and deepened the kiss, savoring the feeling of being with someone she cared about so deeply. She never in a million years, no a trillion would believe she could fall in love with a guy. But here she was. Tenko initially thought Makoto was nothing more than a creepy playboy who for some reason had tons of girls fawning over him. Of course, she blamed him for that but as the days passed, even she had to admit there was something *DIFFERENT* about him.

And yet....Tenko knew now. It was that day after all. Her first week of being enrolled was when she looked into his eyes on that Tuesday morning after homeroom. That's when she finally understood that she truly liked him.

When they finally pulled away, they both had huge smiles on their faces. They knew that this was just the beginning of something special, something that could be even stronger than their friendship. They both were in love with each other.

They both found hope in each other.

I just saw your post from a few months ago ( this one https://at.tumblr.com/a-small-tired-lonely-potato/hi-ive-seen-some-of-your-posts-about-mairuma-and/6c7a5uv63rvk) and since you said that we could ask you about your opinions of different characters I wanted to ask, what do you think of Balam ?

I only watch the anime so I'm not up to date with the manga but I really like him, he's adorable and seems like a really good teacher too !!!!

Balam Shichiro is my favorite Bird Teacher.

He is one of my favorite characters in the entire show! And I would adore sharing my thoughts on him.

(note, sorry to all for my absence, Christmas time was chaotic and my batteries were hella drained, even doing things I liked doing took waaay to much outta me, hopefully when I finish moving in my mojo will come back)

When Balam first showed up, like when we first meet him in class, I thought he'd only be a teacher with a couple odd quirks that the gremlin side of the fandom would froth at the mouth for.

I wasn't entirely wrong about that, but I was wrong about him being only that.

"I showed everyone your wings, not out of malice but it still probably sucked showing people something you might be embarrassed about, and I'm sorry, so you can see something I'm embarrassed about so we can call it even." I thought that was a very sweet gesture to give someone, because Iruma was worried about showing his back, not in the way Balam was thinking but still.

It was just such pure kindness, then we got Iruma's sudden confession after being shocked by that kindness and Balam's reaction just sealed my love for him immediately.

At first his excitement gets the best of him, I mean if I spent my whole life hearing that the study I was invested in wasn't even real and that I was crazy for spending so much time on it, only to have living, breathing, Talking Proof! I might get overexcited and almost pass out too.

And then he immediately turns on his teacher switch, realizing that Iruma was in incredible danger and had no way to defend himself if the truth came out to someone who shouldn't know and he should be keeping his humaness a SECRET and that Dumb Naive Boy just up and decided to out himself!!! For What??!? TEA!? KINDNESS!?!

And ends up chastising the boy for hours

And you know what? I'd do that too, That confession scene gave me a heart attack Iruma, what in Delkira's name were you thinking?! Thank God you stumbled upon the ONE demon who wouldn't immediately eat your dumbass.

And after that my love does nothing but grow every time we meet, he has such pure honest dad energy

I adore his vibes.

The first thing he does is make sure no one else knows so he can guarantee Iruma's safety, for no other reason then Iruma is his student and is an endangered precious species and he has a responsibility to keep the boy safe and help him grow.

He makes picture books for Iruma when he hears he's having problems with studying so he can make sure he has the knowledge to survive the demon realm, and from there on becomes Iruma's closest ally and confidant, at least in Bablys.

He can't tell any of his friends or his other teachers about him being a human, and while Grandpa Sully is sweet he can't always be there for Iruma, neither can Opera. So Balam becomes his de-facto guardian, and then also becomes someone he can talk to when he's unsure.

And while I loved him in the Walter Park Arc my favorite moment of him comes much later.

There are spoilers ahead so I'm gonna make a block in orange so you can skip if you dont wanna get spoiled for it.

So after the HeartBreaker exam Balam calls Iruma to his office to give him a full check up (He's probably become his doctor since he's the closest thing the demon realm has to a human expert now that i think about it) and after checking up on him he drops some bitter truth on our boy.

He brings up the attack by one of the teachers, and that even though two other students were attacked with one being injured, the teacher was primarily searching for and targeting Iruma.

He brings up that the teacher more likely then not, has figured out that Iruma was a human, and he gives Iruma two options going forward. Either seek out the Border Patrol to send him back home to the human realm, or stay by Sulivan's side under lock and key for the rest of his lifespan.

Iruma, when faced with two options he doesn't like, does what he usually does, and makes his own option. He decides to devote himself to getting stronger so he can stay with his friends and be safe.

Balam then admits it was a test of Iruma's conviction, and to make sure he understood the danger he was in.

And it just melted my heart, because he truly cared about Iruma at that moment, and wanted him to be safe, but also wanted him to follow the path he wants.

Other then that, his relationship with Kalego as being each other Best Tolerants (I fully believe Kalego would die before he admits to caring) gives me life, and I love how different their relationships with Opera are!

The one problem I have with Balam isn't even with Balam himself, It's with Sullivan, Because Balam's Bloodline Magic is BUZZER, A lie Detector Magic. Didn't think maybe Iruma might've wanted a warning about the One Demon who could for SURE out him?!? No heads up on that??? Thanks For Nothing you useless Grandpa.

Balam's protective nature and kind demeanor coupled with his immense power and frighting appearance reminds me of my Father, Whom every single person we meet is terrified of because he's 6 feet of pure muscle and his resting face looks like death, but he's really just a big teddy bear! Anything that reminds me of Dad is great to see in manga because usually dads in anime and manga suck so Balam gets all the love points!!

Very Dad Behavior, well done.

I love his closeness with Sabnock and Azz-Azz when he becomes their personal tutor in the Forest arc, he really shows how much he cares about his students. He just wants the best for them.

And yeah! I just adore our Bird Teacher, he's the best and can do no wrong. We stan a King.

- i like animals especially red pandas and i also like bugs too. i also sometimes like to read both manga and actual books, i like any theme but when it comes to manga i either like shonen or stories like goodnight punpun/ a girl on the shore

im very enthusiastic towards music, i listen to any genre. i can go from heavy mental and rock, to goth, to something like lana del ray where i feel like i need to be in the rain with red wine, to calm/ smthin indie, sole crushing, and then scene. theres a whole lot more i could add. lemme also add in midwest emo.

- i cant exactly pinpoint what i dislike aside from the wind because it messes up with my hair, i swear if the wind was a solid id have it knocked down immediately. though I also tend to get annoyed by people that don't use common sense.

- my hobies incule art, i have a lot of sketchbooks and majority of my lessons are done by doodling and getting told off by my the teacher cause i dont pay attention, but i still carry on. i also like to make jewelry such as bracelets/neclases, their mainly beaded but their still cute to wear and i like to make bracelets for close people

- (just for extra info here →) im mentaly unstable and have severe attached issues as well as issues with family on every aspect. id like to get better, however i just end up going down a loop hole so i cant/dont which makes everything much harder than it needs to be.

- my energy gets drained QUICK so im mostly a listener rather than a speaker when it comes to social interactions, however i do have my days where i can be jumpy and almost euthoric and talk like my life depends on it with a lot of excitement

- also i can get sudden motivation that i end up reorganising my room, one day it'd look that then after 4 months itd look like this. i tend to do spontanious little things here and there when im in a good mood and that includes in dying/cutting my hair. also ive pierced myself 6x with thumb tacks and their all healed very nicely. i have 9 ear piercings in total.

- never was much of an academic person in school, but i tend to be smart outside of it and i find enjoyment in observing people and using my own thoughts rather than finding sources

- i wont call myself shy, maybe at first sure but as i get comfortable i can go all out and i dont mind in making the first move as long as i get the same energy back, otherwise if that energy isn't given then ill forget all about them.

- i can be extremely clingy when i want to be, i hold back in latching onto someone on a daily basis. i wanna hold someone's hand, be on their back like a bag, and just overall connect soles. im touch starved and overall I can be very affectionate physically, though I'm awful at using my words for affection.

🪨 Cole would honestly be the most supportive out of the four. He'd be both surprised and confused at first. But the longer he stares at the outfits, the faster he starts to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together, he may not know what it is yet, but he sure is familiar with it!

🪨 Any form of insecurity or embarrassment you feel about it, Cole will make sure to get rid of by giving you tons of praise as well as telling you how he used to wear stuff like this for shows his father practically forced him to do. He never liked doing them, but he won't lie by saying he's always admired the costumes, so this would very much remained him of that. This would be his way of soothing you about it, in a way that he kind of gets it and doesn't think ill of you because of it.

🪨 Cole will have no problem getting used to your hobby. Each cosplay will be treated with special care and respect, just like he was taught while still doing shows. And because of that, he won't even bat an eye at seeing you in one, ever. If anything he'll get excited when he sees you in one because during his childhood it was the only thing he looked forward to while doing shows. So expect a very excited Cole always jumping around you asking you lots of questions about said cosplay, wanting to know the character and purpose of the outfit, not to mention tons of compliments after every sentence!

🪨 Cole would for sure help you make some cosplay if you let him! He'd be horrible at it though, at first. He's a quick learner and would start sewing as good as you in a matter of hours! If you don't trust him with that, that's okay! Just please let him design or draw some of these cosplays for you! Cole is confirmed to be a talented artist, so at least let him do that! He'd be even more thrilled if you let him draw you in them, you'll essentially become his modal. And don't worry, the drawings would be of the highest quality, all of them hanging all over the walls of his rooms. He's just really proud of them and most importantly you!

🪨 If any of the ninjas teases or makes fun of you for it, they are met with the scariest death stare to date and even worse tasting food than they had ever before, that will shut them up real quick. Cole is the strongest ninja physically and the others have no doubt in their minds that he will become violent for you if they don't stop. Plus there's also the fact that the probability of them dying from food poisoning is pretty high, so yeah.

🪨 If any cosplay is from a media you enjoy, he suddenly likes it too! Like genuinely though, he'll want to be included in the said media! He'll watch the show/movie with you, read the comic/manga/book, play the game with you, listen to the music with you, etc. Just about anything that the cosplay is from he'll want to be knowledgeable about it too. Even if he isn't into the media itself as much as you, he'll still do it with you cause your happiness is his happiness, plus now he has an excuse to call these moments mini-dates.

🪨 If your someone who's cosplaying is a job, he'll 100% want you to bring him with you every time. If you let him come to work he'll be on his best behavior, constantly looking for ways to be useful to your team. Whatever task you or your team give him is a-okay with him! Being a water boy? Check. Holding up all of the wires? Check. Helping with the camera? Check. He just wants the job experience to be as easy as it can be for everyone, and you and the team would really appreciate that! And if he isn't doing that and is just sitting on his chair, his eyes won't leave your frame once. No matter what you're cosplaying as his attention is fully on you as well as him spouting compliments every chance he gets! Your team would honestly encourage you to bring him with you every time! Even if he eats all of the souvenirs they have.

🪨 The same can be said if your social media is all about cosplay. This man will get the whole ninja team to help with a video or photo shoot. No one dares to complain because they're all too scared of Cole, so they just stay quiet and help in the best way they can. Cole would forcibly make himself the manager of all of your social media, because yes. He'd report to you about the feedback and your schedule 24/7, it can get overwhelming sometimes so let him know and he'll turn it down a bit. It's just that if he wasn't a ninja he'd honestly want his job to be your manager, that's how much he loves it and you.

🪨 Cole 100% would be into couple cosplay! Any media couple is fine with him and he'd be more than happy to do it, especially if you have to make a shoot for it. He still has some of that theater kid from back then left in him, so it'll be easy for him to get into character, especially if it's a character he knows. But if you just want him to do it with you just because, he'd be silently hesitant, he only likes/wants to dress up when there's a purpose to it, so he'll be very nervous to do it without a reason, but a quick kiss and some encouragement would do the trick.

🪨 If you were to make a cosplay for him, he'd be over the moon! He'll probably get a little emotional when you give it to him, quickly wiping his tears away, saying something got into his eye. That being said, he has a hidden insecurity about stuff like this, mainly because of the amount of stress his dad put him through. So even if he has a deep love for costumes, there's that voice in the back of his head that reminds him of all of the mistakes he did back then and the disappointed looks he got from his dad when he wore them. If you are able to catch on, a good long talk of reassurance will do the trick, give him some time and he'll be wearing that cosplay like it's his everyday clothing!

🪨 If you were to cosplay him, he'll literally get a heart attack from the amount of love he'd be feeling at the moment! He'll probably get a little emotional from it, after years of pretending to be other people while trying so hard not to disappoint his father, just seeing you dressed like him made him kind of accept his past and embrace it. That would be the reason why he'd treat you like royalty for the rest of the day, doing everything for you whether you ask him or not, but that wouldn't be enough for him. Don't be surprised if you see him try and make a cosplay of you as a thank you back. Depending on how you look and dress, it could either be an okay/great-looking cosplay, or a complete disaster, you still love him though.

🪨 Overall I'd say that Cole would be the best out of the 4 to have In this situation. He'd be able to relate on a personal level, which would make reassurance from him hit way deeper than from someone who's never done dressing up or cosplaying before. He'll be always ready to help with whatever cosplay you need, will always want to be included, and just generally wants to be there for you whenever he can. The only problem would be his hidden emotional baggage, which he'll try to not show. But that's an easy problem to fix with the amount of time he's spending on cosplays with you, so just a kiss and reassurance here and there, and the problem would be a thing anymore. Gotta say a 10/10 for sure.

Jay

⚡The minute he finds out, he won't shut up about it. Asking you constant questions like, "How many cosplays do you have!? Can I touch your wig!? Why does this one look like that but the other doesn't? Aren't they the same thing!? Did you make it or did you buy it!? How and why!?" He doesn't mean to offend you by any means of course! He just doesn't think before he talks so if you take offense to anything he says he will immediately zip it and apologize while explaining himself.

⚡If you were nervous or insecure before and Jay's questions made it worse, he'll be devastated. He'll immediately start reassuring you that your hobby is nothing to feel ashamed of and that he shouldn't have opened his mouth in the first place. He'll try to distract you by asking if you can wear some for him. When you come out and show him expect nothing but praise and a drooling Jay.

⚡It would admittedly take Jay a while to get used to your hobby, especially if you do it a lot. Jay didn't grow up in an environment that exposed him to stuff like this, so he did think it was kind of weird at first. But the more he learned the more he grew to like it, linking it with costumes that actors would wear in a show. So don't be surprised when he slowly starts to get better at being nicer and more appreciative about it.

⚡Jay, being a gamer, a comic fan, and almost every other media fan would 100% be able to name almost all of your cosplay's from what media they are and which character. It would turn into a game between you two, that whenever he would see you in a cosplay he'd have 3 guesses each for every category: What character, what media, and what season/version of it if it matters. The game itself would quickly grow on him, impatiently waiting for you to come out of your room anytime you announce another cosplay coming.

⚡If you'd need any help with completing your cosplay in the makeup or mecha department, he's your guy! Jay canonically knows how to apply make-up, so he'd be down if you ask him to do it for you! Just be sure to not ask him in front of the team, he gets really embarrassed remembering that he used to be a show host. Mecha though? You'd give him such an ego boost if you ask him in front of the others. He'd happily make every part of your cosplay that is mecha-related. Outside of that, Jay wouldn't be too excited if you ask him to help with a normal cosplay. Sure it's a cute bonding moment between you, it's kind of relaxing and he's a quick learner, but it's just not his thing. He'd never say "no" to you though, anything to make you happy!

⚡If any of the other ninjas think they have the right to tease you because of your interest, think again! Cause Jay is the only one allowed to do that (not in a mean way of course)! He may be the least intimidating when it comes to physical physic, but he sure as hell makes up for it in the personality department! He'd just harass them all day with various pranks, jokes, and teasing until they stop and leave you alone. It is a fact of nature that you are the only one that can handle his annoying side and still love him.

⚡If cosplaying is a job for you, he won't admittedly be into it at all. He won't disapprove or anything like that, he's just not interested in it. He will automatically assume it's boring since you only take pictures while being surrounded by some random people. Don't ever bring him to work unless you want to see him whine like a child, "(Y/NNNNNNNN) when can we go home?" "Hey, are you done yet?" "How much longer until you're done?". Yeah no, bad idea. Don't ever do that. But if on the rare occasions he is actually well behaved, expect him to have his eyes on you the whole time, him not being able to even mutter a word because of how taken aback he'll be from seeing you in whatever cosplay you have on mostly the revealing ones. His face would be red all throughout the session, as well as not being able to leave his sitting spot, tunning everything out but you.

⚡If it's just a social media thing, I can see him being more bearable to handle. Jay would see you as his little personal project. He'd do your make-up, help set up the equipment and even manage it, and maybe help out with the wig and clothes if you let him or he feels like it. The reason as to why in this scenario he would be more tolerable than in the job one is that everything can be done at whatever pace the both of you want! Not only that but there are longer breaks and he's also managing everything, which means he has something to do instead of watching you from the sidelines.

⚡I feel like Jay would only be somewhat into couple cosplaying. It would depend on which fictional couple you'd like to cosplay with him. If they're from something he really enjoys or just likes the ship then he's more than happy to do it! But If it's the opposite of that, he'd protest immediately. But if you plead or bargain hard enough he'd do it just for you. But don't expect him to be happy about it or even act in a decent way. He'd be very sarcastic to everyone around him, you being the person he tones down his behavior too. He'd basically become a brat, that's it.

⚡If you'd made him a cosplay, it just couldn't be any type of cosplay, I'd have to be someone he likes, no exception. He could care less about the quality of the cosplay, in a sense that if it's bad or good he won't notice it. This man is just a certified brat, no questions asked. He will compliment it, but he won't wear it. Only if it's something he likes would he wear it, but only in private or in front of you. He loves you, but this man does not have the temper to deal with the teasing the other ninja will give him. That said, if he's alone in his room he'd wear it all the time and even reenact a few scenes as the character, he would never admit to doing that to anyone though.

⚡Cosplay him and except to give him the biggest ego boost ever. If Jay was even a little insecure before, he sure isn't anymore! He'd be as red as a tomato while stuttering compliments, he would not handle the amount of love you'd give him at that moment. His face will be red for the rest of the day, he won't be able to leave your side for the rest of the day, and he'd be begging for cuddles constantly. And if you let him, he'll do it while drowning you in kisses for the rest of the day. He'd definitely push you into wearing it more often, it's the quickest way to raise his confidence and it shows. So even if it turns him smug after a while, just please never stop for his sake. As a thank you, he'd definitely try to improve on some of his aspects regarding your hobby/job. He'd try to be less bratty and more open to the things you want him to try, even if he doesn't want to or like it, though just showing some form of affection will quickly remind him why he's trying so hard.

⚡I'd rank Jay as the 3rd best boyfriend to have in this situation. Even if he's low, I won't necessarily call him a bad partner to have when in regards to your hobby. He's honestly just a big baby and a picky one at that, he'd just need time to get better at supporting you. He wouldn't be the best boyfriend at the beginning, but he does try to be respectful about it, any negative remarks would honestly slip out because of his personality, but he'll regret it and apologize immediately. He'll grow to like it eventually by you boosting his confidence and making cosplay also a fun thing for him as well. So basically like I said, he acts like a child, so if you present it in a way as you would to a kid in a matter that wouldn't look down on him or be condescending then you're good to go! I'd give Jay a 6/10, not the worst but could be better.

Kai

🔥 Sorry to say but Kai's definitely confused, the worst-case scenario is him being weirded out by it. You will have to give him a few minutes before he finally snaps out of scanning every piece of cosplay and wig you have, and go "Explain."

🔥 After feeding him with some knowledge, he'd still stand there with his same weirded-out expression until he'll glance up at you and noticed you getting embarrassed and worried. He'll immediately break out of his close-minded mind, rush to you, and start comforting you. Lots of apologies, kisses, and hugs are to be expected, he may not understand your hobby right now, but he'd never forgive himself if he made you upset over it.

🔥 Kai would have the longest and hardest time out of the 4 to get used to your hobby. Just like Jay, he didn't grow up in an environment that exposed him to stuff like this. Except it was way worse for him in a sense he never went to shows with actors so he wouldn't be able to link/justify your hobby by thinning of actors with costumes on. He'll try not to give you weird stares when he sees you in one, instead, he'd try to give you compliments, thinking it will make him get over his close-mindedness faster. He doesn't judge you for it, of course, he just doesn't get it yet.

🔥 It doesn't matter when or how long he's known about your hobby, the bottom line is that he's extremely overprotective about it. He may not get it or even like it, but if he witnesses someone whether on purpose or not mistreating your craft all hell breaks loose. Like, if you were in your cosplay outside for whatever reason and someone says something wrong to you, you'll have to hold him back cause not only is he being aggressive vocally but also tries to get physical too. Like I said, he may not be that into your hobby, but he sure as hell respects the effort you put into it and won't allow anyone to insult you for it.

🔥 If you ask Kai to help, expect him to be very hesitant and against it, but if you press hard enough, he'll do it. You'd have to give him simple tasks though, if you tell him to sow or stylize a wig of yours, the finished product would be an unrecognizable mess. You'd have to give him the job of ironing or washing them because that's a task he already knows how to do. Though the tasks he enjoys the most are the ones he can do with you helping him or just being near you It would make the work more bearable for him and in rare instances even fun!

🔥 Kai may have not been that into your hobby at first but he'd be damned if any of the ninjas tease or make fun of you for it. He'd be very vocally threatening to the others if they dare speak ill of your craft. Everyone knows that an angry Kai is not someone to mess with so they all immediately back off. The only good thing about this is that Kai will grow to appreciate your hobby because of the number of times he had to defend you for it. It will start to slowly ease into his mind that maybe cosplay isn't as weird as he thought it was and he'd make that apparent by giving you more compliments as well as being more willing to help out with the said cosplay.

🔥 If you'd cosplay as a job he'd be pretty indifferent to it. He doesn't really care honestly. But if you did suggest he comes with you he will, you know, for the experience. The whole time he'll just be sitting on a chair on the other side of the room, eyes either glued to his phone or you. If you or someone from your team asks him for help/assistance he'll do it in a heartbeat and then immediately go back to his seat. He'll only stare at you the whole session if you have a revealing outfit on, to make sure no one around is a pervert towards you and also because he's a little pervert himself, so why deny the chance of seeing his s/o in something he doesn't see every day. In short, he's like a dad waiting for his child in the waiting room, impatient/annoyed but not vocal about it.

🔥 He'd pretty much have the same attitude if instead of working your just doing it for social media, but he'll definitely make himself more present in it. Kai would be more willing to help out with anything you ask of him really. He'd wash and iron your cosplay before the shoot, help set up the equipment, and even get Nya or Lloyd to help because he trusts them the most with helping you and not judging you for it. Once everything is set and done he'll either leave you to it or stay and sit on the bean bag in your room, looking at his phone or you for the rest of the shoot.

🔥 Kai wouldn't be into couple cosplay at all. Dressing up into anything that isn't his gi or street clothes is something he's not happy about. He'll give it a try once and that's it, doesn't matter if he doesn't mind the couple from the media, it's just not his thing. He'll only make an exception if you seriously need a partner to cosplay and start considering someone else to replace him. He wouldn't be happy about it, but he sure as hell isn't going to let anyone get intimate with his s/o in or out of the cosplay, no way!

🔥 If you made him a cosplay he honest to God won't know what to do with it. Don't get him wrong, he loves it and really appreciates it, no matter the quality! But even still, he'll probably never wear it, at least not around the others that is. It's the same with Jay except his temper would do way more than Jay could ever do. So for the sake of everyone's safety, please do understand that it's another reason why he won't wear it except for him getting embarrassed about it. If he's 100% sure you two will be alone for the day or you've been in a bad mood, he'll wear it just this once for the sake of your happiness. Better reward him with a bunch of praise and kisses, it'll only make him consider wearing it more often.

🔥 If all your previous efforts with swaying him to your side about cosplay didn't work, you cosplaying him would be what just might make him rethink everything. Not only would you rise his ego to an egregious amount, but he'll become the biggest prick in the world, to others that is. He'd show you off to just about anyone he can, praising you the whole time until the other person gets annoyed and leaves the oblivious Kai still talking. Unlike Jay, Kai would be very vocal about you wearing his cosplay constantly. As a thank you, he'll try to change his attitude about your hobby as best as he can, he'll definitely be less indifferent about it and more supportive that's for sure! Though he has other things he has to work on, that's still a good start!

🔥 Kai most definitely has the lowest spot out of the 4 of them as a boyfriend with a cosplaying s/o. I wouldn't call him a bad partner to have in this situation, he is weirded out at the start, sure, but it'll later turn into indifference about it. While still not the best, the more you push him lightly into it he'll be more supportive and just better about it. I'd describe him as a parent with a child that they know has an interest in something they don't understand or finds weird but still loves them for it and if they saw the said interest out in public they'd point to it or buy it for them. Definitely a 5/10, there's always room for improvement though, so don't give up on him!

Zane

🧊 Another ninja that is supportive! Zane is one of those people who almost never judge anyone, so at most he would be very confused about the whole thing. But don't let his expression fool you, because in actuality he's extremely eager to hear and learn more because he just finds the whole concept fascinating!

🧊 If you'd express any form of insecurity or embarrassment from it, he'd try his best to comfort you about it. Zane isn't exactly the best with emotions, let alone understanding them, but he won't let you feel bad about having an interest. Even if he doesn't know the process of making a cosplay or designing a wig, he'll point at all of them and identify every good thing about them. No matter if it's big or small, or what quality it is, Zane will only have nothing but good things to say about it.

🧊 Zane will have no problem getting used to the whole thing, at most, it'll take him a day of processing it, learning about it, and just getting his feelings sorted out about it. Once that's over with, he'll be the most loving boyfriend ever, sending you warm smiles and pointing out all of the things he likes in your cosplay. Sometimes if he finds the character you are cosplaying as interesting, he'll ask questions about them so he can understand and appreciate the cosplay better.

🧊 Zane's naturally curious about anything that he doesn't know or doesn't have much knowledge about and will ask you a lot of questions about your hobby. Once you answer all of his questions, expect him to remember all of them and become just as much of an expert as you on it. After a few days, he'll start asking you questions again but in a different way. They will be all personal like, "What is the next cosplay you're planning?", "How did you get into cosplay?" etc. He'd pop them out once in a while and it would be a cute bonding between you two, it's also how he shows his support.

🧊 If you ever need help with anything, Zane is your guy! Zane is an extremely quick learner and will get the gist of any task you give him in a matter of minutes! Sowing, styling, drawing, cutting, etc. Anything is possible with Zane by your side! Heck, this man will even approach you himself about helping you because he actually wants to or you were visible struggling with it. And of course, it would be a huge bonding moment between you two and something Zane would like to do often with you just because of how much he found himself liking it as well as just spending time with you!

🧊 Unfortunately for you, Zane gets teased by the other ninja's a lot and does nothing about it. Fortunately for you though, if you're in that position, he is reacting to it immediately. He doesn't have the advantage like Cole or Kai in being naturally intimidating or Jay's out there annoying personality. The only thing he can do is scold everyone as if he was their parent, what Zane doesn't know is that he can go too far sometimes with his lectures (by that I mean being unintentionally intimidating). He doesn't know about it though, so a few of them are enough to shake the others up a bit to the point where they're scared of even saying anything about your hobby, whether good or not.

🧊 If you do cosplay as a job, Zane is another ninja that would be very well behaved during your shoot. He'd be more than happy to help if anyone needs it as well as bring whatever is needed. But most of the time when he doesn't do that except him to just be sitting in one spot staring off into space as you and your team work. Whenever you'd walked out in a different outfit, he'd smile to himself, sending you silent compliments from his spot, not wanting to disturb the session. He'll 100% ask your team for copies of your pictures and just have them on him 24/7 as his little good luck charms. Before every mission, he'd find himself kissing them and whispering promises that he was going to be okay and will come back to you as soon as the mission was done.

🧊 You doing it just for social media is a-okay with him too! He'll help you set up and everything! Get your outfit and wig ready, turn on the lights, get the background, take your pictures, etc. Just ask him for any of it and he'll do it in a heartbeat, and he'll be happy all the way through it! He'd never do any of it if you don't ask him to or doesn't see you struggling with it though, why? Because this man thinks it'll be rude for him to just barge in your business when you are visibly caught up and busy with it. He just doesn't want to mess anything up for you, but like I said, just ask him and he's already on it!

🧊 Zane isn't opposed to couple cosplay, but I don't see him being that into it either. I feel like Zane just isn't into "dressing" up, preferably staying in the usual clothes he usually wears. That being said he'd never tell you "no" if you ask him. Zane has no preference in whatever couple you decide to cosplay with him, but be sure to start out slow. Make him get comfortable with it at the beginning, give him cosplay's that are more fit with his style and you can go up from there. He won't even notice it, so he'd find himself very surprised by how enjoyable the experience has been from the start and will no longer be silently hesitant about whatever couple cosplay you throw at him.

🧊 Make Zane a cosplay and he'd wear it like it's everyday clothing. He won't show it off, but if someone asked him about it, he'd proudly proclaim that his s/o made it for him and proceed to point out all of the things on his outfit and what he likes about them. Upon receiving it, this man will feel so warm inside, that he'd give you tons of affection and praise immediately after receiving it. But that would only happen if you made a cosplay that was more like his style. Don't get me wrong, he'd love it and shower you with love just as much even if it wasn't something he would wear every day. He's just more comfortable with clothes he's already used to.

🧊 The amount of wholesomeness you'd throw at this man the moment he sees you cosplaying as him is astonishing. He'd have to leave the room for a little bit to collect himself because the poor lad cannot handle these many emotions at once. Once he's done he'd dedicate the rest of his day to you and just you, just hanging out doing whatever you want to do no matter what it is. As a thank you, he'd make you a cosplay himself! With the skills you've taught him, he'd manage to make just about anything! Admittedly, the quality would be lesser than your cosplay, but it still would hold up immensely either way!

🧊 The 2nd best boyfriend to have in this situation! The only thing that is holding him back from being on Cole's level is that Cole is always openly out there to help you 24/7. Whereas Zane is hesitant to approach you about the fact and he won't ever help you unless you tell him so (in the social media department that is). Ignoring that though cause that isn't such a huge issue, he's practically almost just as in love with your hobby as Cole is. He'd never judge you once for it, is always happy to be there for you whenever you need it, and just treats the whole thing like he always knew about it, viewing it as just a normal part of you, 9.5/10.

let's read the utena manga, chapter 3

Ok, I gotta pause a second. This fan translation is... not great. I don't mean any disrespect to the translater, they were a fan doing a tremendous amount of work for free out of the passion in their heart, it would be unfair to expect a super polished professional style job from that. But wasn't there an official professional English translation of this manga? Surely that must have ripped and uploaded at some point? Yet I've looked everywhere I could and have only been able to find this fan translated version. The physical books are all out of print as well - I'm a big enough fan that I would have happily purchased the us$50 hardcover version, but I can't find that for less than $200 used now, which is simply out of my price range for this project.

I guess for now I'll keep going with what I've got, but it's getting distracting, and there's already at least one plot point that I'm kind of confused on. If anyone who sees this happens to know some way I can access the official translation, please let me know.

So, anyway, where did we leave off? Oh, yeah. Utena hasn't even gone to Ohtori yet, and Wakaouji Aoi (who is maybe manga Akio?) is here, in her house, dating (?) her aunt, and borderline hitting on her.

so yeah, we've careened way of the rails here.

But Utena is still Utena enough to, like, immediately confront Wakaouji about it, asking him about the ring, directly asking about the letters...

But just then a convenient distraction outside...

As the vase that the rose Wakaouji brought ~just happens~ to be knocked over "by the wind", which he immediately uses both to cut off Utena's questions and to set up this moment between them, which also just happens to direct her attention to the scent of the rose, which matches that of the letters and her memory of the prince.

Some very Akio-esque circumstances and behaviors from Aoi, here.

Regardless, Utena's fully convinced that Wakaouji is peropero-kun, and, like the kid she is, the next day she's bragging about it to her friend and rubbing his face in how wrong he was.

Friend-kun, I know you're like 13, and therefore a dumbass, but having a ring and gifting roses to ladies are not the parts of the story that make "Prince Licky-Licky" a pervert.

Though he does slightly more intelligently bring up that Wakaouji never explicitly said he sent the letters.

He fails to bring up that, if Wakaouji is in college, then he's at most, what, 22? Which means he would have been 15 when 6 year old Utena met her prince? A 15 year old probably wouldn't have been able to save her from the situation she remembers, and even if he had sending mysterious romantic letters once every year to a girl he met one time when she was 6 is extremely unlikely behavior for a 15 year old.

Of course, having watched the anime, we can be confident that this dude has been at most 22 for a long, long time.

But there's more pressing matters for Utena and Friend-kun to think about...

Yeah, Utena's leaving the country soon, and even if she's coming back in two years, like, they're 13? 14? Two years is a long as time when you're 14. They are not going to be the same people after that. And while Utena has this lifelong romantic mystery adventure aspect to it to be excited about, Friend-kun is basically just losing his friend and crush entirely.

But Utena, again being the kid she is, doesn't just want to brag that her Prince was real after all, she wants to show him off in person.

Only...

Prince Licky-Licky is kind of preoccupied with Utena's aunt.

Good on you, Friend-kun. No, Kaidou. Kaidou is his name. He deserves that much respect at least for this bit.

Aw, poor girl.

Harsh. Very easy for Utena to be hard on herself. I don't relate to her a lot, but I relate to that much at least.

Also the exact same perfectly-child-sized hole in the fence is still there, unfixed after 7 years. And wouldn't you know it...

There just happens to be another lost little girl the same age Utena was wandering around near the dangerous hole in the fence.

Utena tries to lead the girl away from the hole, but they fall through anyway, and chapter 3 ends on a cliffhanger.

A lot of stuff going on. This is all still entirely pre-Ohtori Academy, and could more or less work as an expanded prequel to the events of the anime, but yeah I'm still don't really know where this is going yet.

8-Man vs. Cyborg 009

Who's this schmuck? Just kidding, I did some background research and apparently 8-Man is one of the OG cyborg heroes to come out of Japan, predating Cyborg 009 by a year. He's called 8-Man because the scientist who turned him into a cyborg failed this experiment 7 times before getting to him. Yikes.

Crappy name aside (apparently the mangaka also had a manga called "Wolf Guy," which I find hilarious), it's a neat idea to put two OGs against each other. I'm sure the boomers are excited lol. (Come to think of it, Japan's population skews older, so it would make sense that this sort of thing would be published now).

Ch. 1

Coming from the BGOO Parts manga, the art feels a little clunkier and dated here. Backgrounds are very simple and there's less detail in how the characters are drawn. It's still faithful to the original series though and that's good enough for me.

Just like with BGOO Parts, they're rehashing Black Ghost stuff again, with some retconning along the way. Series that resurrect the same villain over and over are so dull. Please do something else writers!! :(

Why did the skull-masked guy (Cyborg #22) look kinda kawaii tho? They drew his eyes all shiny and cutesy.

They flashback to the end of volume 10 AGAIN. I guess that really is the most iconic moment of the franchise, but with every flashback it's losing its charm.

There was a diagram explaining 8-Man in the front of the manga and I guess he uses cigarettes as a power source? First of all...huh? Second, that's the most 1960s thing I've ever heard.

Also in the front of the manga is an image of Joe carrying a beat up looking 8-Man. Way to spoil it! I wonder what the vs. in the title is implying? Are they going to be rivals and then team up or are they straight up pitted against each other?

Did they pair these two together because they were like "8? 9? You get it? Eh? Eh?" What if it was 8-Man vs. 008 lol. It would have to be underwater randomly I suppose.

Ch. 2

Okay I stand corrected, I guess 8-Man isn't a cyborg...he's closer to an android, but he has a human consciousness so...he's not really an android either.

This was like, the exposition chapter. They wrote this assuming the reader was new to 8-Man and maybe Cyborg 009 too so they gotta hastily give little wikipedia summaries of what the reader missed lol. Not enough exposition for me to know who the robot bossing 8-Man around is supposed to be though! Maybe that'll come later.

I see the obvious parallels with the stories here, both cyborgs/androids/whatever were created as weapons but their creators wanted more for them. 8-Man has a little more of a film noir vibe tho with the detective aspect.

How the heck is a cigarette a "cooling" tool? My brain does not compute.

So 8-Man is being ordered to attack Joe, I guess. I wonder if he's been misled about Joe's background? He kinda helped him out back there with the cigarette, so I guess he's showing hesitation.

Ch. 3

So I guess Black Ghost's motive is to "resurrect/summon the God of war Ares by sacrificing one of the heroes..." Not Greek mythology again...please. I can't take it anymore!

8-Man's hands kinda look like Mickey Mouse gloves teehee

Dr. Tani and Dr. Daemon look so identical to me that I had to swipe back a few pages and compare them. I finally excepted they weren't the same person when Dr. Daemon referred to Dr. Tani in the third person lol.

We get more revelations about how 8-Man's machine brain works. He retains every memory (either OP or awful) and Ivan can't read his mind. I forgot Ivan could read minds in the first place? I feel like he doesn't do that much.

This manga has a lot of two page spreads, which I appreciate. They make the reading experience more cinematic, it moves things along quicker in general (no dialogue), and it looks great on my giant tablet :D

Ch. 4

The villains from the respective series place their bets on which hero will come out victorious. It gave me Squid Game vibes (but obviously less gruesome).

It's kind of funny how the villains are low key rooting their corresponding hero on, wanting to show off their nemesis to their new friend.

Kinda awkward how the other numbers cyborgs are just tagging along waiting for 8-Man and 009 to be done. I guess there's not much they can contribute, which is probably why BGOO Parts gave everyone accelerator mode...

Obvious fake out death is obvious

I enjoyed the shot of Joe and 8-Man outrunning the shinkansen. That was fun.

Ch. 5

After the battle between 009 and 8-Man, Black Ghost and Dr. Daemon attack and kidnap Joe, Francoise and Azuma. Black Ghost reveals their master plan to harvest memories from the cyborg so that they can resurrect the 3 brains that make up the "true" Black Ghost and put them in a giant robot body.

I'm not fully clear on what Dr. Daemon gets out of all this? I guess he gets to help rule the world or something?

The way they depict Francoise's ability makes her seem hilariously useless. She's supposed to be able to detect things from very far distances but every time she senses something it's like 2 feet away from everyone lol. Like she'll be like "something's coming...from the ocean!" and the gang turns around and it's right next to them. Thanks for nothing lol.

The demon God statue (taken from the original manga) looks kinda silly. It's bird beak makes it look like it's from Darkwing Duck or something haha.

Ch. 6

Okay 8-Man and Francoise getting all flustered once Francoise implied that her and Joe are in love was really cute. I wanna see more scenes of them getting to know each other and becoming friends :D (not likely)

The concept of world domination via a giant space satellite/demon God statue is pretty badass, not gonna lie. Very classic evil guy plan.

Seems we can now drop the pretenses that this is going to be a "versus" situation and everyone will just team up in volume 2. Pretty predictable.

KnB 30-day challenge

1. Favourite Male Character

Okay, I'm sure this isn't a surprise to anyone who actively follows me, but...

It's going to have to be Kuroko. Years ago, I originally felt like someone else would have to be my favourite, because the reason why he's my favourite is that no other character ever in any media has made me feel so understood. And that's a pretty self-centred reason. (Dear younger me, if you're going to have a complex about something, at least pick something that makes even a little bit of sense.) Luckily, I'm over it now.

I don't know what I'm supposed to do with this post, so I'm going to ramble about this character's meaning to me. I've said this somewhere before, but this feeling of being understood because of the kind of character Kuroko is, is why I started writing KnB fanfiction. I was so overwhelmed that I felt like I had to give back somehow. Obviously I couldn't give back to the original creator in any meaningful way apart from buying the manga. And then there was this thing the creator said somewhere... that he had no idea what was going on in Kuroko's head for most of the time, that he was the hardest character for him to understand. And I nearly couldn't believe it. I was like... well then, mister, you have done a fabulous job fooling me. And at some point I started feeling like that was something I could do, I could show what was going on in Kuroko's head, and in that way I would get to not only give back to the character but the community, the other fans who felt deeply about this series.

Obviously, I didn't know if anyone was going to actually like my interpretation of Kuroko (or the other characters for that matter), but I've felt deeply lucky and humbled, by the readers finding my fics, who have told me my characterizations really resonate with them. (Even though the ones telling me my Kuroko is their favourite or that they consider my work canon in their head still make me want to run and hide a little. But I won't.)

Kuroko is really special to me, because I dislike writing about characters I relate to on that level. For some reason I can't write self-inserts, I can't even read stories where you're supposed to insert yourself into it. That's fine. But. It also means that there are some issues that I never get to write about in a way that I personally truly relate to. But... a lot of those things were already in canon Kuroko by accident. I didn't put them there, and that's why in this one instance I was able to persuade my tricky head into using my own life experience to make some of those things that were already in Kuroko, a little deeper, a little more significant to the story, and in some cases just let go of my inhibitions and interpret something in a way it was definitely not meant in canon, simply because it would be meaningful to me to see it that way.

Anyone who is up to date with my fics will know how far I have come from my fear of exercising too much freedom of interpretation, haha... I will literally do anything I want at this point. Still needs to be canon-based to satisfy my head, (like, there has to be at least one scene in canon that in my head, believably supports my interpretation) but I have definitely learned to not hold back. After all, it's just fanfiction, it's not that serious. (Even though I take it as seriously as my original writing.) I can do my thing and other people can do theirs. I'm so excited about all the things I'm still yet to write about this character. I know that a lot of people think that you should write the stuff that is the most important to you in your original fiction, but there are things I literally can't write through any other character than Kuroko. Same has started to apply to other characters through writing in this fandom too, because I can't separate these ideas I've gotten through writing, from their sources. They would lose so much meaning and detail if I tried, they are just too organic to the story.

I still can't give my actual lived experience to a fictional character, because that will feel disingenuous to me no matter what, but what I can give them is the abstract, theoretical knowledge I've gathered from those life experiences, and I will continue to use that to write Kuroko in a way that feels satisfying and honest to me. Sometimes it means I relate to the storyline I write for Kuroko, sometimes it means it's the literal opposite of what I would relate to, and sometimes it has no relation to me whatsoever. I just don't know how to stop at this point and being able to use myself in any way to enhance a character who essentially did the same to me, is a really unique experience. And knowing what has been meaningful to me has been meaningful to other people too, continues to inspire me.

Wish me luck trying to shorten the amount of time it takes me in real life to cover one year in the fic, because if I don't, it's going to get way more ridiculous than a few seconds in their games being ten minutes in an episode.

i keep looking at my own fic ideas from like a couple years ago that i have outlines for and going "wow, i really don't want to write these!" so here's a comprehensive list of fanfics i still have on my desktop which i have started but made litle progress on:

masterpiece theatre - an akira/mob psycho 100 crossover. the premise of this one was that tetsuo managed to create an alternate universe at the end of the film/manga, which was the mp100 universe. he's just kind of there trying to live a normal life while navigating the trauma from his past life. naturally this does not work out well and he winds up both meeting people from the akira 'verse and people from the mp100 'verse. i think i had in mind that it would end roughly around the first season of mp100. anyway this was roughly inspired by my musings about mp100 reminding me of a sort of inverse of akira's storyline that i can no longer articulate because it has been years since i read mp100 all the way through.

cause - this was just going to be a complete rewrite of rebel without a cause where i fixed what i saw as a pacing issue with the film and also gave more context to the characters' lives because i have a love/hate relationship with the original

it's not my party, but i'll still cry if i want to - a really short fic that was taking characters from rebel without a cause and plopping them into a modern 'verse just for the sake of having jim infodump about the 50s while sulking because he thinks judy & plato are doing something together and generally having rsd

where worlds collide and days are dark - all i got is that it's for mgs and i still have a hold of this document despite it just being snippets of fic i wrote like years ago.

statement of daniil dankovsky // statement of artemy burakh - magnus archives crossovers for pathologic, the first one being daniil's statement about the world being alive (based on pathologic classic) and the second one being artemy's statement about seeing daniil die, only to be "replaced" by another actor the following day while everyone else acts like nothing ever happened.

when you finally get involved, face to face - danganronpa ishimondo fic that was a project to see if i could focus long enough to write 100k. instead of getting together as teenagers, the fic would take place over the span of 10 years, where they'd get together as adults. i was really excited about this one when i started it, but people started being transmisogynist in the comments so i stopped working on it and got into pathologic instead.

a document titled 'cool ishimaru has a chill day with boyfriend' which i think was about ishimaru discovering he's trans, that was meant to be a non-despair au and with everyone being generally supportive of him.

flaws - danganronpa fic where taka talks to makoto about feeling possessive and how horrible it feels but i never actually finished or published it. it's pretty much done now... i could go back and edit it down to where i'm satisfied with it but i don't know :/

i wanna ruin our friendship (we should be lovers instead) - some kind of au where either it's non-despair or everyone lives... it was going to have hina and taka bonding over having crushes on their best friends who are oblivious. it was gonna be from hina's pov bc i love her

in the middle - okay this one i swear i will write one day... whenever i replay trigger happy havoc... it was going to be a polyamory fic where mondo is dating chihiro, who used to date taka and desperately wants mondo and taka to be friends. they'd be in college here. chihiro is transfem and taka is transmasc and mondo realizes he's nonbinary i think was a plot point. anyway,

an untitled danganronpa fic wherein hope's peak decides the classes need mentors and taka picks juzo, w ho came out of the closet for the express purposes of getting out of having to mentor anybody. but taka thinks it was very brave of him and wants advice on coming out despite being a public figure.

letters - this was just going to be eight, thirty-one from taka's pov

jojo's despaire adventure - jojo characters put in a danganronpa situation. pretty sure polnareff was going to be the protag of this one. it was going to be a simulation dio was running to try and rewrite the universe, hence why so many characters from so many parts were there and also had no memory of each other. i think kakyoin was going to be the first casualty.

all of my started but unfinished assorted jjba works you can still find on ao3: next chapter of cherry wine was going to have a karaoke section because fox gave me the funniest image of hol horse singing a shitty maroon 5 song. i have no idea where i was headed with heads on a science apart. not sure what the next chapter of heart of glass was going to be and i don't feel like pulling up the outline but i can tell you how it ended if anyone is curious about that. she told me to come but i was already there - there was going to be a battle of the bands kind of thing wherein we were going to get hol horse singing 'ride a horse, save a cowboy'. that was the highlight of the chapter and i don't remember what else i had planned for it. starfish crusaders was going to have a mechanic where some of the joestars were part merpeople and could transform at will. warmth, though, i have no idea where i was going with that.

alexithymia - a patho fic exploring the turmoil of not knowing, understanding, or articulating your own feelings. with daniil, of course.

something just titled 'angst outline' that is for a long form pathologic angst fic i was never going to write because i was convinced nobody was going to read it. it was going to be burda but with even more problems and issues and angst for the sake of angst.

a fic about artemy's insomnia

some unspcified fics about daniil being autistic

bio murky - okay this is really obvious but the reason to read the fic was that it was transmasc artemy. essentially artemy and daniil met and hooked up and maybe started falling in love in the capital and then artemy left for home unexpectedly... because he was pregnant. i think this was going to be an everyone lives kind of au or potentially even a no-sand pest au.

a blurb about andrey and his bipolar disorder

e pluribus unem - if i ever actually write this one i'll have to find a title that won't invoke such a knee-jerk reaction but anyway this was a fic about daniil going about wooing artemy by making amends/friends with those of artemy's bound. it was going to be told in little shorts of daniil meeting with the kids. originally i wrote this from daniil's pov but i think if i write this one i'll do it from the kids' povs.

a blurb about daniil having a breakdown after the end of classic

let's climb the cliff edge and jump again - this was gonna be a fic about daniil and andrey's tentative friendship in university where andrey is a horrible influence, a horrible friend, and a horrible brother. it was loosely inspired by my toxic girl friendships i had in college [a/n: i was a girl in college] and the first time i got high. i wanted it to be My Dandrey Fic but without happy dandrey at the end... hints of griefdrey instead... and again thinking about andrey's bipolar disorder because i'm always thinking about it!

a mark/rubin fic that was gonna be nsfw.

mystical inclinations - a soulmate au with tattoos i think? polyamory and platonic soul mates were going to be a thing in this au but i kind of don't remember what i was doing with it.

talk too much - daniil, who is usually a smoother talker, has a habit of sticking his foot in his mouth whenever artemy is around

when my time comes around, lay me gently in the cold, dark earth - this was going to be mashing up daniil and artemy's routes (and at the end, clara's as well). with burda. of course.

when the day met the night - burda fic where daniil is about to get taken out by the government because he's a criminal against common sense and good morals, and artemy panics and tells the emmisaries who show up that they can't take daniil because they are to be married, and they can't take the menkhu's husband. and of course the emmissaries aren't stupid so they say they'll be back for the wedding. very romcom.
