AHHHH HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGEL *collapses on the floor and dies* 🎉💗

(Have a Huskerdust animatic with overlord husk au ! Wooooo!!!11! I have come up with so much lore and story for this au during my creation of this animatic it’s insane, PLEASE ASK ME ABOUT IT !) I’m insane about them.

But now I have some notes about my feelings and progress of this animatic it’s a bit long but i would be great full if y’all read it.

Ok so my 1st fully fledged animatic has been very grueling but l've learnt so much with it

don't animate on procreate it's hell, and I need to find a better program to animate on (cause I wanna try and make more animatics in the future. Please suggest some apps to me )

I don't have to be as meticulous or nit picky about everything since it kinda makes my art look stiff and not dynamic like my sketches

Animatics CAN LOOK ROUGH (being rough doesn't make it bad, sometimes it makes it more fluid)

I really want to experiment with more dynamic camera shots and movement.

That being said I didn't want to switch up the style at the end of the animatic so I stuck with the stiff style, and this being my first actual long form animatic (not counting a couple of the more tiktok-esque Steddie ones | made) I'm still kinda proud??q!! Even though it's not how l imagined it to look like

TLDR: this is my first actual animatic, I have no animation background and don't know what I'm doing.

Nevertheless I'm so proud of what I made, but still wanna make more less refined animatics in the future, and I want to allow myself to play around with more movement

me waiting for my writer’s block to fuck off and leave me alone so i can finish this chapter:

#my creativity is just so dead rn and it makes me want to crawl out of my own skin #i’ve been waiting MONTHS to finally have a little bit of free time to breathe and catch up on writing stuff #and naturally now that i have i am so mentally and emotionally drained i can barely string a sentence together #i feel so distant and detached from my characters #and yes i know it’ll pass #but i just feel so caught in this headspace rn and needed to vent #i’m SO close to finishing this chapter for good but i have well and truly fallen at the final hurdle #the perfectionism has got me #ugh #also if anyone reading this is worried about four walls being updated #please don’t #i literally circle through this headspace every single chapter #and it hasn’t stopped me yet #(and it never will either. i couldn’t give up on this fic if i tried)#but it’s just hitting me particularly hard this last week #why is writing such an agonising process sometimes #anyway #enough rambling from me for one night #i’ll drag myself back to my laptop and see if i can work some magic #wish me luck #writing stuff #lulu posts

I posted this minor vent to twitter, too, but I definitely neglect my tumblr these days way more despite myself feeling the most comfortable here.

I’m really sorry for my inactivity, I tbh have hit the point where my mental health and anxiety have been fucking me over physically as well.

This is the 2nd day of insomnia keeping me up all night to the point where I finally dragged my iPad out to try to work, and then just being paralyzed with burnout.

I’m so sorry for not having new art or anything to show these days, my mental health has been in the shitter and I’m like… two years in, now, on trying to find any sort of medication that will actually work for me. So tired of this 💀

I’m going to *try* today. It’s 6 am and tbh I didn’t eat hardly anything these past two days because of lack of appetite, so I might do a sleepless Starbucks run, but yeah.

It’s been so hard for me lately, but I have no damn good reason as to why, and I’m sorry y’all.

Today was the last DND session for a three-year campaign and I am big sad :(

One of the players brought whiskey for a last toast, which was very kind of them. I had never had whiskey before. Turns out I do not like whiskey. Unsurprising.

It tastes like slightly nicer hand sanitizer.

#blue chatter #it was a flavored whiskey as well #everyone else who had it said it was rly smooth and sweet #so I don’t think I super wanna know what regular whiskey tastes like #it was supposed to be like vanilla caramel flavored or smth #I was told it was like cream soda and that was a LIE it was like disinfectant #with a vanilla aftertaste #the campaign went rly rly well though #I’m seriously going to miss it #the final boss battle was just pure catharsis we absolutely whaled on that dark abberant goddess #she got Destroyed #an entire section of the continent restructured bc of the removal of her corruption #I rly like that my character got to be disabled at the tail end of this campaign #they wielded experimental magic that wasn’t supposed to work and resurrected someone who the Keeper very intentionally kept dead #it worked because they partially fused with Arawai the goddess of life and became her aspect on earth #but becoming partially divine in a mortal body takes a toll #they had more and more limited mobility and the more they cast magic to compensate the more of a toll it takes #functionally that meant my movement speed was reduced #and I lost more abilities after each combat as the consequences of overextending myself caught up to me #I wish I’d gotten to play this longer to see how this ended mechanically but it was a lot of fun to get a character who is both #very magically competent and still disabled and that still affects their ability and they still get the dignity of risk #to choose whether to continue casting or not knowing the consequences of doing so #it is very much a fantastical disability which I flavored heavily off of chronic fatigue and a mobility disorder #in-game their skin became hard and brassy around their joints which make them difficult and painful to bend #they lose a lot of sensation and fine motor control #thankfully they have a lot of money from their adventuring so they can commission an accessible house and mobility aids #and their friends help take care of them

what if Crowley gets ascended and they wipe his memory and he introduces himself to Aziraphale who is dying inside because he knows Crowley would never have done this if there was literally any other real choice . having some Thoughts N Feelings abt elrond & elros + the historical practice of rulers taking children from the families of their tributaries or even their (nominal) allies as hostages

primarily that (1) the Politics of the Fëanorions having the heirs of Fingolfin AND Thingol AND All Three of the Three Houses as their hostages is like… soooo overlooked and underutilized in the fanworks I’ve seen

and (2) i think it would be rlly funny and also fucked-up if most elves are Totally Scandalized And Horrified by this Weird Human Behavior of “hostage-taking” if/when they see it happening in the second & third ages as human settlements & societies in M-E grow & develop, while Elrond is just like, “this is Normal, what are you Talking about”

I honestly don’t plan to do that, truth be told I was initially very hesitant to publicly link my ao3 to my art account at all tjfk writing is a skill I’ve only just started brushing up on (I’ve always done it, but never seriously and not with the intent of making stuff that was to be seen by the public, and definitely haven’t studied it the way I have art) and it’s taking me a bit, still, to not feel embarrassed enough by everything I put out to not even want my name on it. I’d rather keep my art and my writing separate! If I were to I would have to make an account specifically for that, but honestly, that would only come if I felt the need to archive my stuff and not actively partecipate in the community anymore? I don’t know how to explain it. Obviously I’m still gonna keep posting my stuff even if Twitter crumbles, I’m trying to find an equivalent alternative still, and I don’t blame anyone for wanting to leave that dumpster fire, I’m just the kind of person who’s very hesitant to leave a place once I’ve figured out how it works - I honestly don’t know where else to put my nsfw if it does crumble into dust, tho. I might start posting previews on Tumblr with links to privatter in that case (they say they don’t allow nsfw but until they actively come down and delete my posts themselves, honestly, I’m gonna treat it like it is ok. After all all my posts there come with a disclaimer warning about 18+ themes and every potential CW present in the image so, I don’t think there’s anything morally wrong with that.)? I think I’ll see about that once it really comes to it. Terribly sorry if that locks anyone out! For what it’s worth, the full pieces of my nsfw are still on privatter so if you can access them there they’re still gonna be available, and for regular art I have here, bluesky, and misskey. This really gets into my head canon, I was listening to this song like two days ago and this came into my head~ DID NOT THINK I WOULD DO IT ALL IN ONE DAY, ON PAPER THEN REDRAW ALL ON DIGITAL 😙😙👏🏻

But since Henry is a vegan but also he can go into animal form I had the idea that sometimes he eats the things he hunts/ catches. And he end up horrified when he gets out of animal form realizing what he’d done when he ‘lost his mind’ due to animal instinct. Pretty cool concept I came up with one hearing this wonderful song (That now I’m so sick of after listening to it for a full day straight.)
