November, 2022
Jimin woke up past midnight. He saw the moonlight shining through the almost dark curtains, which means it's shining brightly tonight. The next thing his eyes landed on is the digital clock on the nightstand.
12:13 AM
11/07/22
Jimin turned the forgotten television off with a remote and planted a soft kiss on Eunice's cheek.
He saw her let go of the pillow she's hugging to hug him instead. Pulling her closer and hugging her tighter, he rubbed her back gently and whispered in her ear, "Happy 3rd anniversary, bubb."
Eunice suddenly shot her head up, causing it to bump into Jimin's, "We slept! We slept." She said while Jimin rubbed his forehead, "Ow, say sorry." He said with a pout.
"I'm sorry, bubb." She whispered before smiling and kissing Jimin's forehead. "It's just that Rianne-unnie helped me prepare a cake for our anniversary. I was supposed to bring it out at 12 and--" Jimin shut her up with a kiss. "Say it," He said.
"Happy anniversary, bubba." Eunice said, finally letting go of what she had planned. She thought about how many things she planned that never went as it is. Well, Jimin was one of them and she will forever be thankful.
"3 years into our relationship and we already spent our anniversary like this? Staying in our house?" Jimin said while pulling Eunice to lay down again. They faced each other while Jimin played with her stray hair and soft curls, "So what? It's nice staying here. This is our place, we make the rules." Then she paused, "Are you asking me to go out with you?" She asked.
Jimin sighed and snuggled closer to her, "I'd love to, but you're cooking for the whole gang later for dinner. I don't want you to be tired." Eunice pulled the blankets over them as it's just 10 degrees outside, "Seokjin oppa and Rianne-unnie's wedding is in two days. Let's give this week to them, okay?" She said, burying her face on his neck while her arm is wrapped around him.
Jimin pressed his lips on her forehead, "Then do I get to take you somewhere else next week?" Eunice nodded, "Of course." Jimin cupped her cheeks and planted butterfly pecks on her face, "Happy 3rd anniversary, bubba. I love you."
"I love you more, bubb." She answered, but Jimin shook his head. "Nah, I love you more." Jimin was about to kiss her when the curtains suddenly flew open, both of them shocked at it.
"I kinda hate windy days." Jimin murmured before standing up to close the windows. Eunice gave her boyfriend a good stare while he's walking to the window. Jimin is just wearing sweatpants and a sweater, but he still looks very neat. His hair is kinda sticking out in odd angles, but she can never complain. No one ever sees Jimin's bed head except for her, and Bangtan, of course.
In little moments like this is where she feels content and loved the most, "Jimin," She said, just loud enough for Jimin to turn his head while closing the curtains after the windows. "Hm?" His eyebrows slightly raised as he walked and crawled back to bed with her.
"Nothing," She answered. "I love you too, if that's what you want to say to me." Jimin lucky guessed, making Eunice roll her eyes, "Yes." She agreed. "I guessed right." Jimin said happily. "You didn't guess. You just know. If it's me, you always know, like you've known me for 20 years." She said before closing her eyes and rubbing Jimin's back to coo him to sleep too.
While playing with her hair, Jimin spoke again, "What do you think about marriage?" Eunice answered softly without opening her eyes, "Overrated." Jimin sighed, "But I want that with you." He heard Eunice mumble. "Really? You want to marry me?" He asked, as if in disbelief that she wanted to marry him.
"Jimin, bubba, I wouldn't have it any other way. Of course, I want to marry you.. unless you don't want to marry me?" She said with her face buried on Jimin's neck. "I want to marry you! What are you saying?!" Jimin chuckled and slightly pulled away to face her. He cupped her cheeks and stared, "Next week, when we leave, do you want to pick out the ring?"
"Ring?" She asked in slight confusion, although the ring might be included in the conversation they are having. "Your engagement ring." He said. Eunice nodded, "Okay." Jimin smiled again, "Okay, bubba, let's do that." He said with finality.
Eunice said a soft, "I love you," before closing her eyes again. Jimin stared at her for a moment before basking in the comfortable silence. He'd do anything and everything with her, but in moments like this, wherein they do nothing with each other, is where his heart feels most content.
~
Taehyung tapped on the steering wheel impatiently, "Really, what's taking Jungkook and Toshimaru so long?" Lexi tapped Taehyung's arm and brought her phone to her ear, "Come down now or Taehyung will leave the two of you.." Lexi looked at Taehyung's impatient face again, "He swears." She added before ending the phone call with Toshimaru.
The agreement was for Taehyung and Lexi to pick up the two while Yoongi, Gail, Hoseok and Namjoon will ride together in Hoseok's car. As for Seokjin and Rianne, they'll go on their own. It's Jimin and Eunice's third anniversary today and they all agreed to all be present at dinner as Rianne is not allowed to see Seokjin a day before the wedding -- some tradition that doesn't make sense, but there's no harm in following, right?
"Is the couple sure already that they want dinner with all of us instead of spending time alone?" Taehyung asked again, Lexi holding his hand. "Oh come on jagi, Eunice is already cooking. Besides, one way or another, you guys have to bring us there. The girls are staying in Jimin's house until the wedding day, right?"
Taehyung nodded before adjusting his shades, "Jin-hyung and Rianne-noona are the only ones getting married. Why don't I get to see you tomorrow too?" He mumbled, slightly pouting which he purposely showed Lexi. The girl just flicked his nose then kissed it right after, "It's Jin-oppa's last day of being single. Enjoy with him! Besides, we just got back from Daegu and we just had.."
Lexi stopped talking, but Taehyung didn't, "Car sex?" Taehyung said it the same time Jungkook opened the car door, "Ya!!!" Jungkook said, immediately covering Toshimaru's ears.
It made Taehyung and Lexi laugh out loud, immediately apologizing to the two. Jungkook and Toshimaru both hop into the car and off they go to Jimin's house.
~
Hoseok parked his car beside Seokjin’s. They got out one by one -- Namjoon getting out from the front seat side while Yoongi and Gail got out from the back doors. They saw Seokjin and Rianne sitting on the hood of their car, “What are you doing outside?” Hoseok asked them. “Nothing, we just arrived and we’re just watching Jimin annoy the shit out of Eunice while she’s cooking.” Rianne said, tapping the free space beside her while looking at Gail. She sat beside Rianne and looked at where she’s looking. Jimin’s house has a big window on its kitchen, which is why they can view what’s happening inside.
“Let’s just wait for Taehyung and the others before we go inside.” Seokjin said, “And stay quiet. I think those two don’t know that we’re here already.” The others just nodded and leaned in front of their car.
Yoongi saw Jimin pull Eunice and cup her face, “I’m going to bet my life that Jimin is convincing her to sleepover tonight because it’s their anniversary.” Gail wrapped her arm around Yoongi’s neck as he slightly leaned on her while she sat beside Rianne, “I’m with you, baby.” Namjoon nodded, “Actually, no need to bet. I totally agree.”
~
Eunice is busy preparing shrimp gambas for the gang when Jimin leaned on the kitchen counter near the stove, “Are you sure that you don’t want me to stay here or you don’t want to come over our house?” Jimin has been bugging her ever since she started cooking, “No.” She said, hiding her smile while stirring the contents on the pot.
“Ya! How can you be so cold to me?” He said, Eunice just laughed at him. “I’m sorry, baby. They might arrive anytime soon and you’re distracting me!” Jimin immediately objected, “I am distracting you? I’m literally just standing here beside you and playing my good music to you.” Eunice turned the stove off, “That’s our playlist, bubb. You’re just distract--”
Jimin cupped her cheeks, “I’m distracting? I’m distracting?” He teased. Eunice nodded and ruffled his hair. “Stop showing your aegyo to me. It’s not gonna work. I want to spend time with girls too!” Jimin crossed his arms, letting go of her face. He heard the song on their speakers and started singing it, “Hush, when no one is around, my dear,”
Jimin walked closer to her, standing on his tiptoes since he’s just an inch or two taller than Eunice, “You’ll find me on my tallest tiptoe,” He held her hands and stepped backwards, urging her to dance with him. “Really? In the kitchen?” He twirled her and hugged her from the back, “Now, don’t act like we haven’t been doing this for the past years.” Eunice just nodded, “Fine. Fine. Since I’m already done with cooking, I guess this will be my anniversary gift to you.”
Jimin leads her while dancing or swaying, rather, to the music. His lips are planted on her forehead while they move in different directions. Eunice can’t help but smile. She’s not even close to Jimin’s dancing skills, but she thanked the heavens that she wasn’t born with two left feet. When the song is almost coming to an end, Jimin pulled her close and wrapped his arm around her waist and pressed his forehead on hers while singing softly, “I’m still trying everything to keep you looking at me,” Eunice chuckled on Jimin’s intentional singing of the line. She trailed her fingers on Jimin’s torso, “You can absolutely do nothing and I’ll still be looking at you,” She whispered to him. Eunice placed her arms on his shoulders and stared at Jimin’s face. Jimin was about to kiss her as their faces were so close again when they heard a tap on the glass window.
It was Taehyung, mouthing a ‘No.’ before laughing with the others. Jimin sighed and kissed Eunice’s forehead instead, “I swear I love and hate them to the bones.” Eunice just smiled and tapped Jimin’s cheeks before running to the front door and opening it for the others. “Nice timing.” Eunice said before hugging Rianne, Toshi and Lexi in order. As for Gail, they just high fived each other. They were never really the sweetest of friends, but they obviously need each other.
“Sorry, bff. We’re hungry.” Gail said before sitting on the living room couch. “We had to interfere before you eat each other alive.” Seokjin said, clearly teasing, Jimin immediately glaring at him. Both Yoongi and Seokjin gave a paper bag to Eunice with wine inside, “Anniversary gift!” They both said. “Thank you!” She said.
Taehyung, Jungkook, Namjoon and Hoseok looked at each other, eyeing if any of them brought gifts. “Group hug!” Namjoon said, pulling the other 3 boys to Eunice, “Anniversary gift!” Hoseok said happily. “Ya! It’s our anniversary! Not only hers!” Jimin immediately said before squeezing into the hug, making the others laugh.
“Please, let’s eaaaaaaaaat.” Lexi said while pulling the others to the dining table. “Daebak! You prepared a lot, unnie!” Toshimaru said while looking at the multiple dishes in front of her. “Chill, Toshimaru. I can see your drool.” Jimin said, making Toshimaru glare at him. “Shut up, Jimin.”
Namjoon sat on one of the chairs, “Let us all sit down before Toshimaru and Jimin starts bickering again.” All of them laughed and sat. They started eating, conversations flowing easily between them as they talked about the upcoming wedding.
“Everything is so delicious, I think I might start crying.” Jungkook stated before taking another spoonful of japchae. “I agree. Jin-hyung and Yoongi-hyung taught Eunice well.” Hoseok affirmed, tapping Eunice’s shoulder. “Ya! Jimin-ah, thank me.” Seokjin said. “Thank you, hyung!” Jimin said with a smile, even trying to shake both Seokjin’s hands, making the bunch laugh.
Conversation flowed naturally between them, but it’s mostly them teasing each other. Hoseok asked Namjoon if Bianca is coming to the wedding, all eyes turning on Namjoon. “Her work requires a lot of field work from her, even I can’t keep track of her schedule.” He answered simply, taking another spoonful of food in his mouth.
“Are you two finally dating?” Lexi asked while she leaned on Taehyung as she’s already finished eating. “I think so? I mean we already said we love each other.” Namjoon smiled and after what feels like a long time, the boys know that it’s finally genuine, that Namjoon is happy again. “Took you long enough,” Taehyung mumbled. “Hey, you don’t get to say that when it took you a lot of years before dating Lexi!” Yoongi called Taehyung out, making all of them laugh.
After dinner, they all gathered in the living room to play UNO. The first UNO game only had the boys as participants. Hoseok let Namjoon go first while he joined the girls’ group. The winner of the game won’t be replaced, while the losers will be replaced by their partners. It went on like that for hours until it’s just an hour before midnight.
Seokjin and Rianne asked them all to sit on the floor while the two of them sat on the couch. “Ya, what is this? A classroom?” Jungkook asked while Toshimaru sat in the middle of his legs and leaned on his chest. “No, you can’t do that in classrooms.” Rianne humored them, making Jungkook shy and buried his face in Toshimaru's hair.
“Ohhh, baby is awake already!” Gail suddenly said and they all turned their heads to where she’s looking. They saw Minnie, Jimin and Eunice’s cat slowly walking down the stairs. “Are you calling Minnie ‘baby’ because she is a baby or because..”
“Because you’re a cat.” Gail answered, grabbing Minnie and placing her on her lap. “Now, now, can we start?” Seokjin asked. All of them nodded as they all found a comfortable spot to sit. Seokjin and Rianne wanted to talk to them as they didn’t hire an event coordinator for the wedding. They wanted to keep it as private and simple as possible, thus the reason why every member or pair has a task assignment.
“Thank you for your patience and never-ending support, everyone.” Rianne started as she held one of Seokjin’s hands. “Noona, the wedding’s not over yet. Something can still go wrong.” Yoongi mindlessly said. “Thank you, hyung, for the negativity.” Namjoon tapped both of Yoongi’s shoulders, making him shut up and smile to himself.
Rianne glared at him before opening the notes on her phone, “First, for Jungkook and Toshimaru, thank you for fetching Rishi from Ilsan.” Taehyung faced the two, “You already fetched her?” He asked. “Yeah, we did. Why do you think it took us long to go out earlier?” Jungkook asked while Taehyung just smirked. “We had to tell my sister what to do with Meggie while we’re away. What were you thinking?” Toshimaru asked Taehyung while he shrugged the question and waved Rianne to go on.
“Kids, behave.” Seokjin said. Namjoon and Jimin immediately covered their mouths with their hands in awe, “Ya, hyung, you are so ready for married life!” Namjoon remarked while Jimin added, “You even know how to make kids behave!” Rianne chuckled, “Well, we’re not having a baby unless all of you become grown ups.” The rest of the group slouched, “We are grown ups already!”
Rianne nodded just to let go of the subject, “For Taehyung and Lexi, have you picked up all the dresses and suits and most importantly, our wedding gown and suit?” Both of them nodded in response to Rianne. “We got back this morning and we placed the suits on Bangtan’s house while the dresses are still in the car, waiting to be delivered here, ma’am.” Taehyung formally answered before saluting.
“You went to get the wardrobe?!” Jungkook asked while Lexi nodded. Jungkook covered Toshimaru’s ears before asking the two again, “Then why did you two had sex in the car?!” Taehyung immediately pulled Jungkook’s ear, “Ya!! Jungkoooooooook!” Taehyung looked at his hyungs apologetically, “It was a spur of a moment, hyungs.. I’m sorry.” He said.
All of them agreed to never pry about Taehyung and Lexi’s sex life since they all tend to get overprotective of Lexi, considering that she was first their little sister before Taehyung’s girlfriend. Hoseok just waved Taehyung off while Yoongi glared at him, “Don’t do it again.” He said while Taehyung whined in response. “Hyuuuung,” Yoongi immediately cut him off, “I mean, don’t let us know again.” Gail rubbed Yoongi’s back to calm him down.
Seokjin cleared his throat and looked at Jimin and Eunice, “For the two of you, have you already ordered the flowers and made sure that they’re perfect?” Jimin raised both of his thumbs up, “Eunice ordered them a month ago, sent them ideas for arrangement, oriented them on the arrangement at the venue. All she needs to do is check them the morning before the wedding!” Eunice nodded, “Yes, and you’re coming with me.” She stated because Jimin’s statement looks like he’s not coming with her. “Babe, I always come with you.” Jimin answered before smirking and winking at her. “Babe,” Eunice sighed.
Yoongi scoffed, “Mwoyaaaaaa? Jin-hyung, I swear! These kids!” The others can’t help but laugh while Gail said, “Now, say sorry to your grandpa.” Both Jimin and Eunice bowed their heads, “Mianhae, haraboji.”
“Calm down, Yunki! We are all sleeping apart tonight and it’s almost midnight so we need to finish this fast!” Seokjin said, level-headed. “Hoseok, how about the lights, technicalities and sound equipment both for the wedding and reception?” Hoseok raised both of his thumbs up. Seokjin nodded, “Namjoon, venues?” Namjoon nodded. “Already rented the beach, the hotel, and the reception area.” Rianne mouthed a ‘thank you’ to Namjoon.
Rianne faced Yoongi and Gail, “Have you invited everyone we told you to and talked to the people needed?” Gail immediately nodded, “Yoongi talked to them all.” Hoseok looked at Yoongi, shocked, “Jinjja? You talked to them all? You hate talking!” Yoongi smiled softly to Seokjin, “Come on, guys. It’s Jin-hyung.” His tone suggested that this might’ve been the last, best thing he can do for Seokjin before he gets married.
Seokjin mouthed a ‘thank you’ to Yoongi, while everyone stayed silent. It’s not everyday Yoongi openly shares his care for someone. Rianne is the first one to break the ice, “So, that’s it! Guess we’ll just be waiting for the big day then.” Everyone nodded and stood up.
Some of the boys went outside to get the dresses from the car. After successfully leaving the dresses in the living room, they all bid their goodbyes to the girls. Namjoon was the first one to say that he’s going out, “I’ll be in the car waiting for you, guys, Bianca’s calling.” He said, waving with his phone. “You coming, Hobi?” He asked since he knows that the other guys will individually say goodbye to their girls.
“No, you go. I’ll wait for them.” Hoseok smiled reassuringly. He knows that they all think about him in moments like this, but he wanted to stay, he wanted to watch. To be honest, Hoseok feels nostalgic all of a sudden. They’ve come a long way and even though it’s just Seokjin getting married for now, he can’t help but think about the others too.
Jimin peppered a lot of butterfly kisses on Eunice’s face with his hands on her cheeks, mouthing a lot of ‘I love you’ and ‘Happy anniversary.’ to her. Yoongi kissed Gail’s forehead and said, “See you in a day, baby.” while Gail teased him saying, “Yeah, don’t miss me too much.” Yoongi snickered, answering her, “You wish.” which made Gail laugh while watching Yoongi walk out of the door. Taehyung just walked away from Lexi, not saying anything to her. “Ya! Kim Taehyung!” Lexi shouted when Taehyung was almost at the door. He giggled and ran back to her, pulling her to a bear hug, “Bye, jagi. I love you.” Lexi hugged him back tightly, tapping his back, “Okay. Bye, jagi. Love you! Have fun!” Taehyung nodded before walking away from her.
Hoseok smiled at that. All these years, they’ve been treating Lexi as their baby, but to her, Taehyung will always be the baby. His thoughts are interrupted when Jungkook enters the house again with a gaming laptop. “Jungkook!” Rianne scolded him when she saw Jungkook handing the laptop to Toshimaru. “Noona, one game! I swear!” Toshimaru laughed out loud, “Bubby! We can clear the level after the wedding!” Jungkook shook his head, “No, no! Tomorrow, bubby, please!” Toshimaru is still laughing, “One game tomorrow and if we don’t get past the level, we’re continuing after the wedding!” Jungkook compromised and smiled like a bunny to her. He kissed the top of her head, “Thank you, bubby! Tomorrow, okay? Love you!!” He ran outside too.
Hoseok stood up from the couch, throwing a look at Seokjin who was still busy staring at Rianne before going outside. “What?” Rianne asked when she noticed Seokjin staring at her. “I’m excited,” He giggled. Rianne smiled at him, “Two more nights, love. Go now.” Seokjin pulled her to a hug, “Don’t want to.”
Rianne laughed, tapping his back, “Two more nights and we won’t have to say goodbye, only goodnight, my love.”

Bangtan’s old dorm
Yoongi opened his eyes, accidentally bumping his arm on the pole of the double deck bed as he stretched his arm. “Oh,” he softly murmured when he realized where he is. After stretching, he looked around the room, softly smiling to himself. He saw Seokjin awake already while the others were all deep in slumber on double deck beds.
“I’m going to make breakfast,” Yoongi mouthed to Seokjin which the elder just nodded to. Seokjin watched Yoongi slowly get down from the upper bunk and walk outside the door. Seokjin heaved a deep sigh and stared at the others who were still asleep. He smiled to himself, remembering how the boys surprised him last night by instead of driving to their house, they drove back to their first dorm -- the one where they sleep on double beds in one room.
He sent a good morning message to Rianne before getting out of bed too. In no time, he can already smell Yoongi’s fried rice from the living room before chuckling to himself, realizing that their place before is not really big enough to not smell everything inside. Standing beside Yoongi who’s busy stirring the rice, Seokjin asked him, “What are you guys planning? Why are we here?”
“Hyung, no cheating! Why are you asking Yoongi-hyung.” Namjoon came out all of a sudden, placing his arm over Seokjin’s shoulder. The boys went out of the room one by one, rubbing sleep off their eyes. “I don’t even have any idea why we are here in our old dorm instead of our house. Give me a hint!” Seokjin casually forced Namjoon, shaking him.
“Since we can’t have the normal bachelor’s party,” Taehyung answered him while stretching then Jimin chimed in, “..where we can have girls.” He said. “Ya, hyung.” Jungkook eyed him, making Jimin laugh. “You know I will never cheat.” He murmured while Hoseok rubbed Jimin’s back, “I’m sure Jungkookie is just making sure.” Namjoon suddenly laughed, facing Jungkook, “Look at Jungkook always bickering with Eunice yet he’s the first one to check if Jimin is cheating.”
Everyone laughed but Jungkook doesn’t like being teased or being the center of attention so he’s quick to wave them off, “Since we can’t have a normal bachelor’s party, we’re going to re-live our journey since we met!” He giddily informed Seokjin, making the eldest eyes widen, “You mean we’re here because we’re going to practice No More Dream downstairs?” Seokjin laughed, thinking about how the boys were pranking him, but none of them laughed.
“You guys weren’t joking.” He realized.
~
Next thing Seokjin knows, they’re literally dancing hard to No More Dream. He wanted to smack the boys for making them do this a day before his wedding, but while doing it, he can’t help but feel nostalgic. They were all laughing as some of them kept on missing steps, but Taehyung still knows the choreo flawlessly.
After a round of dancing to their old songs, the boys dropped to the floor, panting and staring at the fogged up mirror in front of them. No one was talking when both Yoongi and Taehyung sat up, both saying, “I’m proposing tomorrow.” Both of them looked at each other and said, “What?!” Hoseok laughed and clapped at the scene, finding it very funny.
The others are staring at Yoongi and Taehyung, laughing with Hoseok. “At the wedding, hyung?” Taehyung asked while Yoongi nodded. “No, hyung! Let me go first!” Yoongi snickered, “Ya! I’m older than you, I should propose first!” Taehyung shook his head, “No, no. I should do it first, please, trust me.” The other five boys are just looking left and right on whoever is speaking as Yoongi and Taehyung keep bickering on who will go first.
“I am the eldest after Jin-hyung! I should go first! We always do things in age order!” Yoongi scowled, more like said in pout. Namjoon and Hoseok immediately eyeing Yoongi, “Hyung, that’s like pressure for us!” The 94’s belted out, Hoseok pouting while thinking about Maine.
Flashback, 2019:
“My parents wanted me to marry a man I’ve never even met. I mean, I met him, formally, but not really.. get to know him.” She confessed. Hoseok’s eyes widened, “But Anna, you can’t marry a man that you just met.” Hoseok jokes, although Maine can see that he is already faking his smile.
“I don’t want to marry him. They told me that the marriage has been arranged ever since I was fifteen! I’ve had enough. This is my forever we’re talking about, not just some pesky part of their business deals!” Maine crossed her arms in frustration, her eyebrows almost close together because of her scrunched forehead.
Hoseok pulled one of her arms, held her hand and kissed the back of it, “I know we don’t have anything established right now, but I’m sure as hell that I don’t want you marrying someone you don’t even know.” Maine looked at him endearingly, biting the inside of her lower lip to hold back the pout that she was about to do, “Thank you.” She mumbled.
“Nah. Thank yourself. You’re too lovable to give away just like that.” With his eyes focused on the road, he let out a soft smile, not knowing when can he tell her that what he doesn’t want is her marrying someone that is not him.
End of Flashback
Hoseok was pulled back to reality when he heard Yoongi’s voice, “Then Jimin will go after me!” Yoongi pointed at Jimin, not wanting to back down with his argument that they do it by order. “Huh? Why are you including me in the conversation?” Jimin nonchalantly asked while Taehyung gasped with wide eyes, “You don’t want to be included because you proposed already? Am I right?!” It’s Jimin’s turn to have wide eyes, “How? How the fuck..” All the boys turned their heads to Jimin, “..did you know?”
“Soulmate things.” Taehyung said, smirking at him. “So, how was it? How did you do it? How should I do it tomorrow at Jin-hyung’s wedding?” He bombarded Jimin with questions while Yoongi immediately cut Taehyung, “Ya! Ya! I’m telling you, Tae, it’s me who’s going to propose first! And congratulations, Jimin, I assume she said yes?” Yoongi smiled at Jimin sweetly, trying to revert the attention back to him, “Yes, she said yes.” Jimin smiled and Yoongi looked back at Taehyung again.
Flashback:
The sun was shining through the blinds which didn’t last long as Taehyung closed them before he started playing on his PC. While setting up, he went to grab his eyeglasses from the nightstand’s drawer. He caught a glimpse of a red velvet box that he’s been trying to open since a month ago. Well, he was supposed to propose to her last night, but he forgot about it as they were having so much fun.
As early as 8 AM, he’s already up and gunning people down on the game that he’s loved for years. Lexi usually goes for a morning jog to stay in shape even when training is on hold that’s why Taehyung still has his alone time. He glanced at the clock and upon seeing that he still had time, as Lexi usually arrives at 10 AM, he opted to enter another ranked game. He was about to click his mouse when the front door suddenly opened, Lexi running to the bathroom while Taehyung’s eyes followed her figure. The door immediately closed while Taehyung chuckled to himself, turning his attention to his monitor again, “Had too much wine last night, jagiya?” He teased her as she has never been accustomed to wine.
Memories of last night flashed by his mind -- the movie, him and Lexi having late night snacks and wine, her getting tipsy and both of them ended up dancing in the living room with wine glasses raised up in the air. It was a blur with all the laughter, dancing and inside jokes. His mind is about to fly to the wildest part when Lexi suddenly sits on his lap sideways and hugs him, burying her face on his neck just so she won’t bother him.
“Everything alright, jagi? Hangover? You should not have gone for a run.” Taehyung’s tone is gentle, caring, comforting even. Lexi nodded and mumbled something on his neck while Taehyung was still busy clicking on his keyboard and mouse, “What’s that? You want croissants?” He chuckled at that, “We don’t live in a French neighborhood, jagi, but good thing I can have those delivered. Let me order for you first.”
Even when playing, he picked his phone up and opened the food delivery application. Lexi eyed her oblivious boyfriend, “Stupid. I’m pregnant.” She muttered.
End of Flashback
Jungkook stood up and waved Yoongi and Taehyung off, “Wait wait! Stop arguing! Let’s just leave it to fate, shall we?” Hoseok rubbed his hands together and faced Jungkook, “Oh, oh. This is exciting!” Jungkook wiggled his eyebrows, “Whoever from the girls catches the flowers, then?” He asked the two boys, waiting for them to approve.
“Aigoo, Jungkookie. You’re leaving it to fate just because it’s not your proposal.” Seokjin pointed out. Namjoon stared at the foggy mirrors and heaved a sigh, “We can actually agree with Jungkook’s suggestion, honestly. At least both Yoongi-hyung and Taehyung have fair chances.” Yoongi crossed his arms with a pout on his lips, “Fine, but just so you know, my ring is ready.”
“Mine is ready too, hyung, but okay.” Taehyung just agreed while looking at each of the boys, trying to gather up the courage to tell them why he feels more strongly about proposing now than ever.
But he couldn’t. He’s sure that his hyungs will pounce on him.
~
After having lunch in the restaurant near their old practice room, the boys decided to gather their things and go back to their present home. They all walked to the car, no one catching Seokjin being left behind and staring at their first and oldest dorm. He sighed and touched its doorway, “Where it all started, huh?” He chuckled and watched the boys’ backs as they walked to the car. Seokjin silently said goodbye to their first place, flashback after flashback of their time there came in his mind.
This is how it feels like to move to another chapter, huh, he thought to himself as he followed the others to the car, being the last one to enter. “You okay, hyung?” Hoseok asked Seokjin, staring at his pinky finger. “Yeah, of course. Just feeling that I’m really getting married tomorrow.”
Namjoon drove the car to their present house. Ever since Namjoon got a driver’s license, they always tease him to drive to test his skills out. It's been years and Yoongi still tells Namjoon to drive to test his skills out which became an inside joke to them.
Even with a few years passing already, they still play Eight whenever they’re in the car together. It’s Seokjin’s favorite time to make Yoongi all flustered as he showered the song with praises along with his mixtapes. At the back of the car, the maknaes are busy talking about games, Jungkook being the most competitive. “Well, me and Toshimaru are about to finish the last quest!” Jimin snorted at that, “Damn, I think Eunice is going to finish that alone.” Taehyung flicked Jimin’s forehead, “That’s cause you’re too lazy to play then you complain about not being good at it, stupid.”
Jimin snorted like a duck and stared outside the window, “One day, I’m going to get good at games.” Both Taehyung and Jungkook laughed at his statement while they pat Jimin’s shoulder, “Hyung, we are not getting any younger. Get to it faster.” Jungkook smugly said which earned him a playful punch from Jimin.
Seokjin is sitting in the middle, softly smiling to himself as he listens to the banters of the younger ones. He knows he’s going to miss this. Whenever they’re all at home, he usually stares at the others in amusement at how long they can keep teasing each other. On days that he doesn’t feel lonely, he joins the teasing games too, especially when they’re teasing Jungkook.
Namjoon smoothly entered the garage, making Seokjin feel nostalgic for the nth time today. It’s going to be last time he’s going to call this house his home. His things are packed already as Rianne and him already bought a property just a little outside Seoul. They already coordinated with their helpful staff to deliver his stuff to their new home tomorrow since Seokjin and Rianne still have a few more nights in their rented penthouse for the wedding.
They entered the house one by one, the boys going to their rooms and freshening up a little bit. Seokjin sat on the living room couch then sent a message to Rianne that they’re already home. The last message he got from the other is that her and the girls are all having a good time. Hoseok plopped on the space next to him, looking up at Seokjin, “You nervous for tomorrow, hyung?”
“A little. I might be saying my wedding vows by this time tomorrow and out of nervousness, I might crack a dad joke.” He chuckled at his own stupidity which made Hoseok tap his thigh, “You’ll be fine! I am so excited for you!” He cheerfully said, his bread cheeks making a full show at how genuine he smiled at Seokjin.
“I’m excited for you too.” Seokjin answered, making Hoseok’s eyebrows furrowed. “For me?” He asked, confused. Seokjin nodded and wiggled his brows, “You know, there’s a lot of girls you don’t know in the wedding. Maine would love it if you’ll find happiness again. I found and I’m holding on to mine and that’s what she’ll want for me, so do what she wants for you.”
Hoseok hissed a little and shook his head, “Hyung, it’s you and Rianne-noona’s day tomorrow. Don’t worry about me.” He played with his pinky finger and smiled to himself, “If I do meet someone, I’m open for it anyway. If I don’t, then that’s okay.”
Seokjin was about to say more but the boys started to file in the living room one by one. They already changed clothes and are ready to bond all night. “Jin-hyung, we’re going to make your ears red until they explode.” Jimin slyly said and smiled wickedly. The boys positioned themselves on the couch, almost the same as how they were seated in their music video of Life Goes On. The boys didn’t notice, but Seokjin did, making him smile subtly again.
The maknaes played videos after videos of BTS compilation clips that are Seokjin focused. “Aigoo, why are you doing this? It’s my wedding, not my birthday!” Seokjin complained with red ears. Namjoon tapped his broad shoulder, “That’s what you get for being the first one to move out!”
They sang karaoke that night, ate a lot and drank moderately. By the time the night is about to end as they’re all spent, all of them are lying down on the living room carpet and staring at the ceiling. “I am going to miss this.” Jimin muttered and Yoongi nodded. Taehyung ruffled Seokjin’s hair as they’re next to each other, “I’m going to get married next!” He enthusiastically said which earned a shout from Yoongi’s opposition. It made the others laugh. Jungkook kicked the air and turned to Seokjin, “Jin-hyung! I am going to miss you. You will still play with me right even if you move in with noona?”
Seokjin nodded and turned, sitting on the carpet. He stared at the boys one by one. “I am so glad that I spent my youth with you, guys.” He started which made Yoongi scrunch his face, “Are we going to do this every time one of us gets married? Because if yes, Taehyung you can go next.” He said playfully which made everyone crack up.
“Ya! I am serious!” Seokjin frustratingly said, asking for the other to take him seriously this time. “I am so glad that I spent my youth with you guys and I will not let you go even in the future. We will still see each other because aside from we work together, you know how precious you guys are to me.” Hoseok let out a small smile and rubbed Seokjin’s back while the maknaes moved and clinged to Seokjin like koalas.
Namjoon and Yoongi stared at the scene while Seokjin smiled contentedly at them while acknowledging the maknaes clinging tightly on him, “You know I don’t get all mushy and I don’t talk a lot about my feelings, but since we’re on it anyway… I want you guys to know that although this house may be our home, for me, you are my home. So don’t sulk if I am moving out, a part of me will always stay here. I just moved out first, but you are all going to do it too!”
Seokjin couldn’t add more as everyone jumped on him for a tight hug. Even Namjoon.
~
The boys are all in their rooms except Namjoon and Jungkook who put the food wastes away. Jungkook opened the door to his room, “Goodnight, hyung.” He said to Namjoon who’s still washing his hands. “See you tomorrow, Kook. I’m glad that you didn’t take it badly that Toshimaru’s ex is coming tomorrow.”
Jungkook stopped in his tracks, “Toshimaru’s what?!” Namjoon’s eyes widened, realizing that no one had told Jungkook yet. He quickly wiped his hands with paper towels and ran to his own room, “Goodnight!” Then he slammed the door.
After everything that that guy did to Toshimaru, he opted to never meet him. It’s not like Toshimaru wants to anyway. He just didn’t know that he’s invited to the wedding even if he knows that the guy’s family is a close family friend to Rianne’s.
Jungkook isn’t one to swear, but he found himself muttering, “That fucker.” under his breath before entering his room and slamming the door.
~
It's one of Bangtan's biggest days today. They thought that the endless concerts and performances are their biggest days, until today. The boys are all seated in the living room, looking at each other. Seokjin was the first one to break and laugh. "Oh come on you guys! I'm just getting married. Why are you all so sad?" Jungkook resorted to a pout, "But hyung, you won't be living with us anymore."
Everyone can't help but smile at the maknae. "Aigoo, Jungkookie, it's been a while since you went baby on us. What will the girls say when they see you?" Seokjin cooed. Jungkook just pouted even more, "I don't care, hyung." He went over to Seokjin and hugged his arm.
Hoseok smiled at the mention of the wedding and girls. All the boys have steady relationships now, except for him and Namjoon -- who just started dating Bianca. He admired Namjoon who held up better than they expected. He wondered when will he smile like crazy again.
His thoughts were brought back to the living room when Jimin snapped his fingers in front of Hoseok’s face, “Everything okay?” He asked, concerned. Hoseok gave him a smile, “Just excited. I mean, hyung is the first to get married among us. How exciting is that?”
~
The wedding venue is overall ready. It’s in a dome-shaped venue that is near the beach. The ceiling of the dome is flower-decorated with white lilacs, delphiniums, viburnums and ranunculus -- which gave it a bright, vintage, forest look. The oak chairs are all painted in white which are all specially made for the wedding. The aisle has a cream colored carpet with a print of a monogram logo of S and R to symbolize Seokjin and Rianne’s names on both ends of the carpets.
White flowers decorated the aisle which are all wrapped in makeshift branches to make it look like vases. The entrance to the dome has an arch of flower fillers wherein pictures of Seokjin and Rianne ever since they started until this day has been posted. The latest addition is the boys’ picture the night before which Hoseok just pinned to the arch.
He was about to leave the arch when Toshimaru came, pinning the picture of the girls from the night before. “Oppa, you’re here early!” She said, slightly bowing to Hoseok. “I was the first one to finish tidying up so the guys said I should put the picture in the arch. What are you doing here early?” He asked the girl while she looked away and whispered, “Promise to not tell Jungkook?”
Hoseok teased her, “We’ve been living for a long time now. That is something I can’t promise, but can I try?” Toshimaru pouted and crossed her arms, “Then you’re better off not knowing. See you later, oppa.” Hoseok was about to protest but Toshimaru ran off already.
Hoseok’s phone rang just in time. He saw that it’s the number of his contact for the music equipment. Answering the phone, he walked out of the venue with his hands on his pocket, “Yeoboseyo?” The guy answered immediately, “Hoseok! I have to apologize. I can’t make it today because I have a family emergency.”
He felt his ears ringing and his eyebrows furrowing, “What do you mean you can’t make it today? The couple will be sad if we don’t have mus--” He was quickly cut off by the guy on the other line, “My wife is in the labor room right now so I really can’t go out of here. Don’t worry, I sent someone else to manage my team. They’re on their way there now. I told you, I won’t let you down!” Hoseok was about to ask for the number and who is the replacement but the guy spoke again, “Wait! The doctor went out of the room. Talk to you later!” He ended the call in a blink of an eye.
Hoseok was able to breathe fine again. At least he knows that the one thing assigned to him is still arriving.
~
Toshimaru entered the reception area. Her jaw dropped in awe. It’s still empty of people, but the set up is done already. The tables are already set up with decorations of more small flowers, just so nothing will stand in the way of people socializing. Table napkins are folded to perfection, fine dining utensils and plates are all set on the tables. The ceiling has been decorated slightly the same as the event venue, but less fancy with a disco ball at the middle.
“I’m glad you came.” The man told Toshimaru as he saw her enter the reception area. Toshimaru snickered and turned to the voice she just heard, I actually hesitated, but since you said it will be quick… Let’s just get this over with?”
The guy stood up and walked over to Toshimaru, “Look, I’m not here to beg or ask you to get back with me. I’m here to apologize for what happened and how I was a jerk back then.” Toshimaru sighed, looking down at the ground as it’s that one thing she has been dying to hear ever since he started hurting her. Whoever decided that she’ll see her ex again on a supposed to be eventful day is sick to the head, she thought.
“Yugyeom, it’s fine now.” She answered softly. He held her hands and rubbed his thumbs on it, “I just realized how I was so stupid to take advantage and let go of you and to even hurt you. I wish your ‘it’s fine’ is true, but whatever I can do to make it up to you and make you happy, I will.” He smiled at Toshimaru as soon as she looked up at him.
She was about to answer when she saw a silhouette at the doorway -- that one silhouette she’ll recognize no matter how near or far. “You don’t need to do anything. She’s already happy with me.” Jungkook said as he adjusted his coat, walking to the two. Toshimaru immediately pulled her hands away from Yugyeom’s touch.
Jungkook stood beside her and wrapped an arm around her waist possessively, “What do you need to talk to her about? Why do you need to talk to her, you.. fuck.” His jaw clenched at that. Toshimaru turned to him as she was shocked by the bad word as Jungkook almost never swears, “Bubby, he just asked for forgiveness. Come on. Let’s leave.”
Jungkook’s eyes are fiery, straight up staring at the guy before him. Toshimaru can’t help but be scared because she never saw this side of him. He’s always soft for his hyungs, for his unnies, soft for her. “Bubby..” She tugged his sleeve again, “It’s fine..” She turned to the other guy, “Yugyeom, just go. Please.”
Yugyeom held his hands up as if giving up and smiled apologetically at Toshimaru. He turned his back on them and walked away. “Bubby, calm down..” She whispered to Jungkook who’s still watching the other guy. “He’s so stupid.” Jungkook remarked, turning to Toshimaru to give her a hug. “At least my current boyfriend isn’t stupid.” She mumbled to his chest and hugged him back just as tight.
“Yes, and your current boyfriend will never let you go nor hurt you.” Jungkook planted a soft kiss on Toshimaru’s head, “So don’t ever leave me, okay? Especially for that guy or for other guys!” The girl chuckled, “Silly, we’re here to celebrate oppa and unnie’s love for each other and here you are getting dramatic about us.”
“Can you blame me? I’m highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you.” Jungkook said with a pout, pulling away slightly so Toshi could see his pout. “Jungkook, it’s 2022, from 2019 up to now, I’ve loved you for three summers, three springs, three winters, three summers, and I want them all, I want you in all of them for the rest of our lives.”
~
Rianne stood in front of the mirror, straightening her dress. The girls are all in awe with how pretty she is. She has her hair in a bun with soft curls framing her face with a tiny, dried flower stuck to her bun. Her wedding dress is longer at the back but just the right amount of long to add elegance to her appearance. It’s also decorated with sequins and small embroideries of medical things. The girls suggested placing two rhinestones near her brows, just to add to the sparkle. Rianne had never thought she’d look this pretty, but she is.
“Nervous?” Rishi asked Rianne as she rubbed her back, “Kinda, but it’s Seokjin.. It’s always easy when it’s him.” Her bestfriend bit her lower lip, hugging her tight. “Damn, it’s not even my wedding and you’re making me cry. I am so happy for you.” Rianne hugged her back tight too and looked at the other girls in the room, “No crying! Your makeup will be ruined! We’d look like shit in the photos.” She pouted which made everyone laugh.
Lexi walked over to Rianne as she pulled away from her hug with Rishi, “The question is, are you ready to walk down the aisle?”
~
Seokjin sighed as he stood in front of the church door. He’s wearing an all white suit with a red rose tucked on his chest pocket. His hair is brushed back and he’s wearing all of his finest accessories. He has always been a go with the flow person, but this is just a life event that he knows he has to be at his best. He straightened his suit again as he saw the cue of the church doors opening.
As Seokjin saw the beautiful set up and saw the faces of the important people in both his life and Rianne’s, he walked down the aisle with a smile on his face, slightly bowing to everyone who took the time to come to their special day. As he reached the altar, he stepped to the side with his eyes trained to the church door again, his heart beating out of his chest in anticipation.
He cleared his throat as he heard Shaina Twain’s ‘You’re Still The One’ played in the background. They hired a group of musicians to do another arrangement of it, making it more fit for someone to walk down the aisle. A lot of thoughts are running through Seokjin’s mind, but all in all, he’s nervous, excited and most of all, happy.
Just as when he’s thinking about how happy he is, the church door opens, revealing the love of his life in an all white dress. For Seokjin, Rianne gets prettier everyday and with that, she is the prettiest ever today. She starts to walk down the aisle with a bouquet of red roses in her hands. Since the venue is decorated with white and bright colored flowers, the couple decided to only have red flowers on them. As Eunice told the couple, in that way, it is also a statement that it’s a day to celebrate their love.
Seokjin can’t help but tear up as he watches her get closer to him. Although Rianne wants to greet the people inside the venue, she can’t even manage to take her eyes off his soon to be husband. It’s true, what they say, there’s really that one person that you see and everything else is a blur.
As Rianne reached the end of the aisle, Seokjin went down the three steps to hold her hand and guide her to the platform. “Hello, pretty. I love you.” Seokjin said immediately, which Rianne blushed for. Good thing the veil hid it, “Oh stop it. I love you too, worldwide handsome who is mine.” She walked with him, three steps up to the platform.
He can’t stop smiling and now, they’re facing the priest who will ministrate their wedding. The ceremony started, the both of them participating in full focus, of course. They couldn’t help not smiling at each other out of happiness and butterflies in their stomachs. They both heard the priest say, “Now it’s time for the wedding vows. Rings, please.”
Taehyung walked near them and handed the rings to each one of them, smiling proudly at the couple. Seokjin, being the joker he is, spoke first, “Well, ladies first.” He said, making the others laugh and making Rianne slap his arm playfully.
“You’re lucky that I love you.” Rianne said which Seokjin agreed to, “Yes, I am.” He held her hand and kissed it then smiled softly to stare at her and listen to her words. Rianne looked up to the taller man, the love of her life, and rubbed her thumbs on his hands. “Seokjin..nie,” She stifled a laugh, “Looks like we’ve made it, look how far we’ve come, my baby.” She started, making Seokjin laugh at the song reference, “Hey, listen to me, I’m not just gonna sing, alright?” She licked her lips and gulped, “This whole wedding, you know, the preparation and all, is a blur, but also pure bliss. Do you know why?” Seokjin shook his head and looked at her confused, “.. because while I was collecting my thoughts for this vow, I realized that ever since you approached me that day I was crying, it was also the day that we started preparing for the wedding. We may have not been friends since we were children, but my heart feels like they’ve known you for a long time. Life is supposed to be hard, I know, but being with you is easy. My heart feels content with you. Even when you were busy as an idol, you never made me feel like I am a second priority. With all of that, I am forever thankful, Mr. Kim Seokjin. For that, I will be here forever and for always, making you feel the same way too. I love you.” She said with tears pooling at the corner of her eyes, sliding the ring to Seokjin’s ring finger.
Seokjin sighed at that and looked at Rianne with love in his eyes, making him slightly tear up too. He cleared his throat and took Rianne’s hands over his own, “Love, you know me. I have never been one to think too much, have never been one to make a big deal out of anything, have never been one to stress too much, but meeting you and being with you made me care more about this life than I thought I would ever. You are right, being with each other is easy, but you know what makes me realize how much I love you? I don’t want problems or much to think about, but being in a long distance relationship with you before didn’t feel like one. It felt like hope, like someday we would never have to part ways again. I just know that all is well and I will end up with you.” He looked down at her hands and smiled, “Look at us, here we are. I am so proud of us. Being ‘us’ is easy, but when it gets hard, I would still want to be with you for always and forever. I am not much to talk about my feelings, I swear this wedding vow is the last one.” He cracked a joke, making everyone both laugh and cry at his vow, “But Rianne, my love, I swear to be overdramatic to make you laugh and to be always true to you, the love of my life. I love you forever and for always.” He slid the ring on Rianne’s ring finger and brought it to his lips, kissing it while staring at her crying at what he just said.
The priest smiled widely at the two and raised both of his hands, “I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.” Seokjin smiled in contentment and raised the veil so he can see Rianne’s face better. “Hi, wife.” He whispered, leaning over to her as he held her waist. “Hello husband.” She answered as Seokjin pressed his lips to hers, kissing her passionately. Rianne wrapped her arms around Seokjin’s neck, placing it over his broad shoulders which made everyone clap at the newlyweds.
They pressed their heads together while Seokjin said, “Now, it’s only goodnight.”
~
Hoseok is sitting with Namjoon on one of the tables, watching the couples dance to Lover by Taylor Swift as Seokjin and Rianne lead them for their first dance. Namjoon nudged Hoseok and smiled, “I wish Bianca was here. I just wish her boss would let her go for once.” Hoseok turned to the sulking Namjoon and when he was about to answer, he smiled. “What?” Namjoon asked, then he turned to where Hoseok was staring.
“I’m here.” She said as she heard what Namjoon was ranting about. “Bianca!” He beamed and stood up, pulling her to a hug. “I thought you couldn’t come? But I am glad you’re here!” He pulled her to a hug again and kissed her all over her face, “And what? Make Rianne-unnie sulk because I can’t attend. Of course, I’ll be here.” She smiled and took Namjoon’s hand, “Come dance, dancer.” She laughed and waved at Hoseok who looked at them endearingly.
Manager Sejin suddenly sat beside Hoseok, tapping his shoulder. Hoseok is staring at the couples’ hands, smiling to himself before turning to Sejin. “Oh, hyung. Yes?” Sejin checked on him, “Having fun?” He asked, making Hoseok smile, “You mean staring at their strings? How did you know I can see them?” The other guy chuckled, “I kinda know ever since the incident or accident. Si Hyuk knows, ever since.” Hoseok chuckled and sighed, “I do not understand why Maine has to go, but I guess seeing these strings mean something for me, right?” He thought about the moment Maine passed away, how he thought his eyes were playing on him because as days go by, he sees these strings on the other members and their partners. He figured it out on his own, until he figured out that Manager Sejin sees it too when he caught him staring at Taehyung and Lexi’s pinkies one time.
Sejin nodded, “Of course. Listen to me.” Hoseok turned to him. “Si hyuk’s job to take care of the strings? You can take it. It is your choice if you want to take it. If you take it, you’ll meet Maine in all of the lifetimes she’ll have. You will always have her. If you don’t then that’s okay too. You’ll still be happy.” Hoseok raised a brow at that, “What? I mean.. wow.” He looked down, thinking of all of the lifetimes he would meet Maine, but Sejin said all of the lifetimes, right?
“Hyung, do you mean I’d meet her and I’ll watch her go away, over and over again?” He said, suddenly feeling cold. Sejin shrugged, agreeing to him. “Hyung,” He sighed, “I love her with my whole heart, I really do, but putting myself in that place where I’ll lose her over and over again is not something she would like. I can help you and pdnim with the work, but to take it up fully, I don’t think I want it and I’m not capable. I want the members to be happy, even if it means I am not fully.” Sejin smiled softly at him and nodded, tapping his shoulders in acceptance. “I understand. The Fates would understand too. Did you know that one of them just accidentally cut off the str--, nevermind. Those crazy ladies.” Sejin stood up and walked away. Hoseok watched him go and turned to look at his hands, sighing. His eyes widened at what he suddenly saw.
The string attached to his fingertip turned white.
~
The wedding party is in full bloom. Everyone has finished dinner and is now eating finger foods, wine glasses are being refilled at every table and everyone is surely having fun participating in the wedding program.
“Time for the flower toss!” The emcee of the wedding said through the microphone, making all the eligible girls stand up, holding hands as they walk to the space allotted to them. Eunice stood up, making the other girls protest, “Ya, ya, ya, you already have a ring! Sit down.” Gail said and pushed her down to her seat. She laughed at that, “Hey, what if Jimin proposed and plans to marry me ten years later? I still need to catch those flowers!” She laughed and ran to the space for the ladies despite wearing a dress.
All of them stood at the space while Rianne stood in front of them, “Ready? Goodluck, my girls.” She giggled and turned her back on them. “3..2..1..” The crowd counted, then Rianne threw the bouquet of flowers to the back. She threw it higher than expected, making everyone stare in anticipation on who will get it as all of the girls talked about not moving at all and just laying their hands out in front of them. Taehyung and Yoongi watched intently, anticipating who gets to propose too. Both of them rub their hands together, wishing that it could be Lexi or Gail.
The bouquet landed on Eunice’s hands, making Jimin stand up and raise his hands as if he won a game. “Yeeees, bubba!” He laughed while the other girls pouted, “Daaamn, I want to go next but sure!” Toshimaru said, acting and winking at Eunice. Gail and Lexi congratulated her and was about to go their seats when Eunice held Gail by her arm, “It’s yours.” She gave the bouquet to Gail, making the other puzzled, “What?” Eunice waved her hand, ushering her to turn around.
Gail turned around and saw Yoongi down on one knee. She didn’t understand why the crowd went quiet when Eunice gave her the bouquet, but she guesses that this was it. “Gail, Abby, baby, whatever I may call you, I want you to know that meeting you is the best fucking thing I got from the internet. Years of long distance relationship was bearable, but when I met you finally and got to hold you in my arms, hug you and everything in between, I know that I need you forever. So with that, may I know if I can hold you this close forever? If I can call you Gail, Abby, baby and for the rest of our lives, my wife? May I? Will you marry me?”
She bit the inside of her lip and nodded, whispering a faint “Yes” as tears slightly pool at the corner of her eyes. Yoongi slid the ring on her finger, “No more backing out now, lover.” He said and stood up, pulling her to the tightest hug Yoongi might have shown to the public eye. “Who said I will back out from you, lover? I love you.” Gail whispered as she was hugged, making Yoongi show his gummy smile, “Lucky for you. I love you more.” Everyone clapped and congratulated them, yet the whole group went over to them to congratulate them closely, hugging the newly engaged couple.
Seokjin waved at a server to bring them glasses of champagne which responded immediately, giving them each a glass of champagne. When the server reached Lexi and Taehyung, Taehyung just grabbed a glass of water for Lexi and gave it to her, making everyone turn their head to them. “Don’t wanna drink champagne?” Jimin asked Lexi, “Nah, I don’t feel like it.” She casually answered, raising her glass and smiling awkwardly. Taehyung showed his good boy smile and raised his own glass, “To Yoongi-hyung and Gail-noona?” He said, proposing a toast.
Everyone was about to toast but Yoongi was quicker to say, “Are you pregnant?” Lexi bit her lip and turned to Taehyung, obviously asking for help. “Hyungs, I can expla---” but Taehyung ran away as soon as he saw the other guys running to him with faces he didn't know if they’re mad or happy for them. He ran to the aisle as the boys went after him, attracting attention from the crowd since the music’s volume was lowered down when Yoongi proposed.
To control the situation, Hoseok ran to the music booth and poked the one handling it. “Hi, can you turn the volume higher so the crowd gets distracted, please? Now.” Hoseok mindlessly said as he watched the chaos unfold as Jungkook grabbed hold of Taehyung’s arm which made everyone catch up to him. “Oooh shit.” He whispered. “Sure, sir.” The DJ at the booth said then turned to him.
Hoseok caught sight of the new girl’s face, “Are you the replacement for--?” She nodded, “Yes, I wasn’t able to meet you a while ago because we arrived late and I wanted to set up ASAP.” She tucked her hair behind her ears and smiled at him.
He swears his heart pounded too much at that sight. The girl before him has the same eyes as Maine, making his heart flutter and drop down to his stomach. He laid his hand out mindlessly again, “Hoseok. You are?” She smiled softly and took his hand, “Of course, I know who you are. I’m Patricia. Nice to meet you.”
Hoseok looked down at their hands as Patricia pulled her hand away from him, then he felt his heart drop lower than his stomach, if that’s even possible.
The string on his fingertip turned pink.

Mr Madden | Madderton Teacher AU | Chapter 4
TW: BRIEF MENTIONS OF SUICIDE
Taron stirred in bed, glancing to the clock for the umpteenth time that night; it was only 4:57am. He had just over 2 long hours until his alarm was supposed to sound, it was still dark, and the birds hadn’t even thought about chirping yet. The entire night had been a series of waking up and drifting off, usually multiple times within the hour. His mind was disturbed by the thought of arriving at school to find out that Ella hadn’t made it, he had visions of her parents coming in to blame the school, leading to Taron being ratted out for not doing enough to help her, her poor parents screaming and crying at him, telling him that they killed their daughter. He made himself dizzy filling his head with these thoughts that deep down he knew just weren’t true, and Richard has done everything he could to assure him of that. The light from his phone and a soft vibration pulled Taron out of his dark thoughts as he rolled over to pull it out of its charging port and squint at the bright screen.
Rich: you up, T?x
Taron: yep, been up most the night, why are you up??x
Rich: set an alarm for 5 cos I knew you’d be up and I wanted to check up on you x
Taron: what? really? Rich you didn’t have to do that you have work too..x
Rich: course I did I couldn’t bear the thought of you alone in bed feeling shit so I thought instead of another 2 hours of that you’d want to go for breakfast before work? Obviously the only place open is mcdonalds but you can’t go wrong with a maccies breakfast x
Taron: you’re right you can’t go wrong with a maccies breakfast, thanks rich I need this I was preparing for a long couple of hours, was considering going for a walk but this sounds much nicer x
Rich: no worries bub, I’ll come pick you up in 20 mins then we can go straight to work after breakfast x
Rich got himself up and ready for work, a routine that didn’t take long. As long as his face was washed, teeth were cleaned and his hair was tidy he was quite happy to get dressed and go within 15 minutes. He grabbed his keys and jogged down the stairs of his apartment to the resident car park, making the short drive to Taron’s place and sending him a quick text to let him know he was outside. Taron appeared quickly, looking a little less put together than usual. His hair wasn’t quite as neat as he usually bothered to make it, and his eyes were puffy from the severe lack of sleep.
“Jeez you look shit T,” Rich commented.
“Cheers,” Taron sighed.
“No I mean you still look handsome, obviously,” Rich scoffed playfully, “but you literally look like you haven’t slept for a minute.”
“You’re not too far off the mark there,” Taron replied as he pulled the seatbelt over him. “Seriously though thanks for doing this Rich it means a lot, you really didn’t have to wake up so early for me.”
“Don’t worry about it I knew full well you’d be up most of the night worrying, I know what you’re like by now, I’d rather that you get out of the house and have some breakfast and coffee rather than tossing and turning for another 2 hours and coming to work without eating anything,” Rich said softly as he put the car into 5th gear along a long, empty main road.
“Thank you,” Taron replied, at a loss for what else to say to his incredibly thoughtful friend who knew him even better than Taron thought he did.
The pair rode out the rest of the journey in silence, neither knowing exactly what to say at a time like this. Rich pulled into the car park of the 24 hour McDonalds and made his way inside with Taron following miserably behind. Rich noticed him trailing behind and stopped at the door to wait, putting an arm round him when he caught up as they walked into the building. Once the two had ordered, received their food and sat down at a booth table in the window, Taron held his egg muffin limply, taking tiny bites. Rich, having already finished the tiny thing in what felt like less than 5 bites, sat with his hands wrapped around his coffee for warmth.
“Look T, I know this sounds obvious but please stop blaming yourself for this, no one is mad at you,” Rich soothed, taking one hand away from his coffee to place it on Taron’s arm.
“But what if she dies, Rich? How am I supposed to deal with a student dying at my hands?”
“T, if she did die it wouldn’t be at your hands! Not one bit! You did what you could. And anyway there’s no point worrying about death now, if you worry about something that hasn’t happened you’re potentially putting yourself through it twice, ok?”
“That’s actually not bad advice,” Taron said, perking up ever so slightly.
“Yeah I got it off one of those facebook posts with inspirational quotes,” Rich admitted, laughing quietly at himself.
“Oh christ,” Taron chuckled softly, “well thank you anyway, I don’t know why it’s got me this down, I know it’s stupid.”
“It’s not stupid at all you’re a worrier, you worry for the world Taron, and it’s a heart warming trait but you’re gonna worry yourself sick,” Rich spoke in almost a whisper, rubbing Taron’s arm comfortingly.
“I know, I know,” Taron took a long sigh and finally finished his breakfast. Rich’s words did actually make quite a big difference, he didn’t need to be so miserable about something that he shouldn’t even blame himself for in the first place. “Thank you again for this I do feel better.”
“Anytime,” Rich smiled. Taron and Rich sat for the rest of the wait before work, sipping their second coffee and chatting mindlessly to keep Taron’s mind off things. As the time passed quickly, the morning drew closer to them having to go to work. The sun rose at last, and they knew they’d have to go sooner or later.
“You ready?” Rich asked, offering his hand to Taron, who reluctantly took it, deciding that there wasn’t really anyone around at this time of the morning who would see them and so they walked hand in hand to the car.
“I might not even hear anything about it today, no point getting worked up,” Taron assured himself out loud, staring out of the window at the sunrise lined buildings of the city that zooming past the window as they travelled.
“Exactly,” Rich agreed, putting his left hand on Taron’s knee in between changing gear. They arrived at work, deciding that a third coffee probably wasn’t a smart idea, but a visit to the staff room before they started might be worthwhile, in case there did happen to be any news on Ella.
“Morning,” they both said politely to the other staff gathered around the room, all looking a little bit like they didn’t want to be there for another day in the mad house that they called a school. Taron bit his lip, not sure whether to ask the question. The Headteacher, who was leaning against the kitchen counter waiting for the coffee in the coffee pot to brew, seemed to have read his mind.
“Ella’s parents got in contact, she’s fine,” he smiled, almost as relieved as Taron.
“Really?” Taron beamed happily, relief washing over him like a tidal wave, his whole body relaxing as if he’d been tensing for a week straight.
“Yes she’s stable, already recovering, and will be back in school next Monday if she’s ready so she’s got a little while to get better,” he informed, now turning around to pour coffee.
“Thank god,” Taron breathed heavily, taking a seat on one of the old tatty sofas and slumping forward in relief, rubbing his temples. Rich looked at him, longing for a cuddle, but knowing he couldn’t so just settled on patting him on the shoulder casually, avoiding the curious gaze of Mrs Reynolds who was clearly trying desperately to sniff out some gossip again.
“Coffee?” the Head asked in Taron and Rich’s direction, who both declined rather quickly.
“Suit yourself,” he smiled. Mrs Reynolds was now looking quizzically in their direction.
“Already coffee-d out?” she questioned, an eyebrow raised suspiciously.
“Yep, uh, we do both have coffee at home, so,” Rich trailed off uncomfortably.
“No of course, I just don’t tend to get up early to use up the coffee in my house when it’s free here.” Taron was now looking up at her, his eyes narrowed slightly as if to say ‘keep your nose out of our business’ “Anyway,” she quipped, putting her mug in the sink and turning on her heel “I must be off to class.” At that she scurried out of the staff room making brief eye contact with the rest of the staff before she left, leaving them to sit in tense silence as they all attempted to sip their coffee nonchalantly, as if nothing was out of the ordinary. Taron and Rich took this as their cue to leave and head to Rich’s class, walking quickly down the hallway.
“Oh my god do you think they’re all onto us?” Taron whispered, leaning into Rich as they walked.
“I don’t know, but like you said the other day, there’s no proof, they have nothing on us!” Rich loud whispered back.
“You’re right, we just have to be extra careful,” Taron nodded as they arrived at Rich’s classroom and scuttled inside.
“Yeah we will,” Rich assured.
“Extra careful,” Taron smirked, leaning flirtatiously against the door to the supply closet.
“Taron..” Rich warned, knowing exactly what he was suggesting.
“Do people usually come snooping in your supply closet at 7:30am on a Tuesday?” Taron joked.
“Well no, but they do walk past the classroom and snoop through the big obvious window in the door, what if we get seen going in or out?”
“We won’t! We’ll make sure,” Taron reassured the Scotsman, who stood shifting on the spot nervously, his hands fiddling with each other.
“Your mood has certainly improved in the past 10 minutes,” Rich observed.
“Of course,” Taron started, “I spent all night worried sick and now I know she’s ok I feel like a massive weight’s been lifted and I have some emotional catching up to do.”
“Right, that’s your logic?” Rich laughed, “in fact, you’ve changed your whole tune about doing things like this since I met you.”
“I know, like I said, everything changed when I met you! Now are you joining me or do I have to please myself?” Taron wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
“Argh, T!”
“I’m joking, I’m joking!” Taron assured quickly, laughing at Rich being a typical serious History teacher. “You coming in?” Rich shuffled on the spot some more, glancing back and forth at the door suspiciously.
“Hmm, ok, but we really shouldn’t be doing this though,” Rich muttered, following Taron into the cupboard.
“No we should not,” Taron agreed with cheeky smile, pulling Rich in and locking their lips firmly, hands running up and down each other’s backs lovingly.
“No really we can’t make a habit of this,” Rich said, pulling away for a moment in between breaths. Taron shushed him, pulling him straight back in, gently grabbing his thick, lovely hair from behind. The lovebirds carried on having their moment until they accepted that they’ll have to stop eventually and get ready for class. Taron cracked the door open slightly to look at the door to the classroom, making sure the coast was clear before grabbing Rich’s hand and pulling him out of the now fully open door.
“Hey look we literally came out of the closet,” Rich snorted, Taron nudged him playfully, laughing along. “Seriously though we can’t get too comfortable doing that.”
“I know, it’ll be fine!” Taron assured, following Rich to his desk to take a seat next to him. The two of them sat in silence while Rich turned his computer on and watched it boot up, the logo appearing across the screen in big letters. Rich looked down at his lap, and then back up at Taron, the secret kiss they just had now playing on his mind.
“T, what are we?” Rich asked, now ignoring his computer entirely to look into Taron’s pretty eyes. Taron sat thoughtfully.
“I don’t know, Rich,” he admitted, avoiding Rich’s gaze.
“Are we a thing or is this all just for fun?” said Rich, biting his lip in thought.
“Why don’t we talk about this later, you need to get ready for class,” Taron smiled, glancing at his watch.
“Yeah, you’re right, come round mine tonight?” Rich offered.
“Pizza and beer?” Taron said hopefully.
“Course,” Rich agreed, turning to his computer that had now turned on, asking for his password.
“I better get ready for class too, I’ll talk to you later,” Taron said, getting up from his chair and planting a small kiss on the top of Rich’s head. There was a somewhat solemn feeling between the two all of a sudden, they hadn’t delved into the relationship conversation yet. In fact, neither of them knew if they were ready for a relationship, it had all been fun and games up until now, but they had to decide if settling down was something that they both wanted to do now.
The day passed, slowly. Taron and Rich’s thoughts consumed by the reality of the conversation that they would be having that evening. At least there were some distractions through the day, working in a city secondary school always came with its daily challenges. Taron broke up two fights in one lunch break, had to mediate an argument between four girls in his afternoon class that had suddenly turned 2 vs 2 during a script reading exercise when he stupidly split the class into groups of 4 and not only let them choose their groups, but let them choose between them who gets to be which character, as if that could have ever ended well.
Rich had a student storm out of his class angrily after having to tell him more than five times to get off his phone, the students argument being ‘it’s my personal property fuck off’, and he had a 10 minute job of calming down an over-hyper class of year 7s that had just had a P.E class and were now on the last lesson of the day, which was just a recipe for disaster. Rich knew that being a secondary school teacher would come with challenges, based off his own experience as a student many years ago, but he swore teenagers had become 100x times crazier since then, but maybe that was just him remembering it from the point of view of a student, never really knowing at the time what teachers actually had to go through every day.
Once the day finally drew to an end, Rich and Taron met up to go straight to Rich’s seeing as they had both come in his car that morning.
“You sure you don’t need to pop home first? I don’t mind,” Rich offered.
“No it’s all good, these clothes are comfortable enough and we’ve got the same phone if I need a charger,” Taron replied.
“True.”
After a short journey home, Rich and Taron climbed the stairs to Rich’s apartment, he unlocked the door and let Taron in first, following straight after him. Taron stopped to look around the place, observing the colour schemes and decor themes going on.
“Nice place,” he commented, nodding in approval at the well decorated room.
“Thanks!” Rich said happily as he threw his bag on the dining table and slung his jacket over one of the chairs, Taron did the same and joined Rich on the couch, both sinking down into it after a long day. Taron even more exhausted from his extreme lack of sleep the previous night, knowing full well everyone he had talked to today had just politely ignored the bags under his eyes.
“So do you want a beer now, or?” Rich offered.
“I can wait, we should talk,” Taron said slowly, Rich nodded nervously, breathing heavy enough for Taron to hear it clearly now.
“So.”
“So..”
“Ok, look, T, I’m just gonna say it- I really love you, and I think I’ve fallen fast, and if you don’t feel the same and are just in it for the fun I understand but,” Rich babbled, Taron trying so hard not to giggle at not only his rambling but the fact that he swore the Scottish accent was getting thicker as the sentence progressed.
“Oh shut up,” Taron chuckled, shushing him fully with a kiss. “Mr Madden, will you be my boyfriend?”
“Um, obviously!” Rich breathed, laughing from relief and leaning back in for another sofa make out session, one that meant even more to the two of them than the last time it happened, now that this had developed into a real relationship. One that neither of them were expecting considering they both had intentions to lay low in their jobs, but they couldn’t help it. They wanted each other so badly and would freely admit at this stage that that had been the case for quite some time now.
“So you wanna order food?” Rich asked as the pair pulled away from each other.
“Hm, not yet,” Taron replied.
“You not hungry?” Rich asked in genuine surprise, feeling his own stomach rumble from a long day at work with not enough food, knowing Taron had eaten even less.
“I’m hungry, but not for pizza..where’s your bedroom?” Taron smirked. Rich scoffed in surprise at the extremely forward question.
“I- wow, that is very bold of you, Mr Egerton!” Rich said, taken back but not actual displeased by the question.
“Well, you’re my boyfriend now,” Taron smiled flirtatiously.
“Good point, right this way,” Rich grabbed Taron’s hand and let him into the door that was only a few metres away from the sofa, pulling him into the room and gently shoving him onto his king size bed, pulling his shirt off in excitement and kicking the door shut behind him, knowing that he hadn’t felt this content in such a long time.

So. You may have just figured out, but I don’t write smut! Sorry! Love reading it but terrible at writing it, so you’ll just have to leave it up to your imagination if you so wish! Anyway sorry this isn’t quite as long as the previous chapter, I just went off on that last one, this is more the length that I’m keeping them. Although I’m slightly worried this chapter is a bit boring, but I hope you all like it regardless tho!

I find myself wanting some OT4 quarantine parenting with Roger and John being Good Dads. Say one of the kids has chicken pox or there’s a bad flu going around and they have a houseful of children who can’t go out for a few weeks and between the schoolwork and the cancelled birthday party there are things to get frustrated about...
oh my god it would be hell on earth
let’s say it is the chicken pox
ha #1 (henry) and ha #2 (hannah) come home from preschool with a letter that says there’s been an outbreak and to look out for symptoms
“this will never happen to us,” thinks john confidently
SURPRISE
three days later HaHa are both spotted and feverish
roger had the chicken pox one terrible summer when he was seven, dom had it when she was four, and john when he was five
veronica, however, is pregnant with baby #7 (jupiter) and also never had it
“don’t you have like, five siblings?” dominique asks, squinting.
ronnie shrugs, “we got lucky, i guess. ate a lot of soup.”
so ronnie gets her bags packed and is banished to garden lodge to spend two weeks quarantined with freddie and jim
it’s just john, roger, and dominique staring down the worst two weeks of their lives
literally
so HaHa are first quarantined to their room, which appears to work great, right? like just toss the twins-that-aren’t-twins in the same room, feed them soup and ginger ale, bring them to the bathroom for oatmeal baths when they itch
WRONG
it gets transferred to daisy
(how they honestly have no idea they thought they were SO GOOD about it)
so daisy gets like....two spots
really, like, the mildest case
half inch on her back, barely even itches, minor fever, she hides it well
BUT
she gives it to robbie, who in turn gives it to vera
this all happens in like......five days
vera is just knocked out with a fever, vomiting everywhere, she’s COVERED in spots, gets oven mitts duct taped to her to stop her from itching
robbie doesn’t have a bad fever persay? but he’s got the itchies and he’s DYING
so he and vera get thrown onto the couches in the den and they’re like covered in calamine lotion that dom has to reapply every 30 min
she has an egg timer just for them
robbie had to be shoved into socks when they realized he was using his feet to itch at his pox
(“it’s almost impressive,” roger breathes, watching robbie hook his foot over his shoulder to itch his neck. “who knew he was that flexible?”
“he gets it from veronica,” john say sagely. )
their pediatrician HATES them
“anOTHER kid?? another one. seriously??? how???”
meanwhile, at casa freddie
veronica is feeling v guilty that she’s having as good of a time as she is
freddie is like oMG A BABY!! and is going haywire getting her anything she could ever want or need
veronica’s hungry?
she gets an entire charcuterie platter just for her
(”does freddie know i can’t eat half of this?” she asks jim, nearly on the verge of hormonal pregancy tears.
“i’ll eat it, don’t worry,” says jim, pretending like he’s doing her a favor.
jim loves charcuterie
“does baby want caviar????” freddie bellows from the pantry)
her feet hurt??
freddie himself is rubbing them for her with this excellent cream he bought in la, think it’s made with bulls testicles but its lovely darling
on day 6 of the nightmare, daisy wakes up with a nightmare and the only person who will soothe her is veronica
literally
no one else
john, roger, and dom are all cuddling her in bed, trying to get her to stop crying because its 2:17am and the other kids are all asleep but no
ronnie and ronnie alone will calm her down
so roger bites the bullet and calls ronnie
ronnie, who is sleeping star fished out with no one and nothing touching her for the first time in ten years, her back supported by fifteen pillows and the silk sheets/goose feather duvet, is awoken by jim shaking her awake
“who is it?” ronnie grumbles, pushing back the silk eye mask that freddie so lovingly let her borrow
“mama?” daisy whimpers before descending into gut wrenching sobs
now, ronnie has been calling the kids every single day twice a day (breakfast and dinner) but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t miss them
she does
terribly
and she, too, starts tearing up as she shushes daisy, promising her it’s okay, no, scooby do doesn’t live in your closet, he can’t hurt you
it takes her thirty minutes to settle her down enough to go back to bed, and then another forty-five min for ronnie to stop crying herself
the next morning, she calls the other three and spends hours on the phone with each of the kids
even though kitty is only 2 years old and disinterested in anything other than playing with the chord
and that vera is still highly feverish and spends the entire phone call snoring in between furious boughs of itching
on day 8, HaHa are finally symptom free
“it’s going to take us eight days,” dom says, dazed, slathering a fresh batch of calamine onto vera’s back. on the floor, robbie is making like a dog and wriggling on the carpet in the hopes that it will quell the itching
“lord have mercy,” says roger, arms full of oatmeal as he rushes upstairs to where john had wrangled kitty into the tub
robbie manages to scab over, which they thought was great until they realize they shed
(roger pukes when he realizes it)
(the less said about it the better)
soon, all the healthy kids (daisy and haha) get stuck in one wing of the house while the others (robbie, vera, and kitty) get put in the other
roger, john, and dom take turns sleeping in opposite wings so that the kids are never alone
on day 10, vera’s fever breaks in time for her to experience a new round of blisters
(“can’t we just, i don’t know, knock her out?” dom asks over her crying. “might be more humane.”)
meanwhile, ronnie is depressed and missing her kids
phone calls just aren’t the same
so she escapes from garden lodge and runs away back home
knocking on the windows, she stands in the garden and waves to the kids, letting them open the windows so they can shout down to her
robbie, vaguely pink from the frankly terrifying amount of calamine lotion he’s been slathered in, hangs out the window
“mama!” he shouts. “i had thirty-seven scabs fall off today!! thirty-seven!”
“that’s wonderful, baby!” ronnie says, though she feels a little sick at the thought of it. “how are your sisters and brother?”
“mama, kitty broke my barbie and ha #1 threw up on my slippers,” daisy informs her from the other wing of the house. “daddy said shit when ha#1 threw up and then told me i wasn’t allowed to repeat it or tell you that he said shit....what does shit mean?”
ha #1 gets a boost from roger to look out the window. ronnie waves back at him before frowning, squinting up at him
“roger, i thought henry was better? why is he covered in spots?!”
“he missed his spots so he used a marker to color them in,” roger hollers back, hiking him up high on his hip. “john thinks it’ll wash off in a few days.”
ha#2 gets so excited at the sight of veronica that she runs right into the sliding glass door and fucking bounces off it
roger has to spend the whole visit soothing her and giving her one of the popsicles they bought for vera’s fever
meanwhile, dom is on the phone calming freddie down that “no, ronnie didn’t get kidnapped, she’s just visiting...”
john is holding kitty and having her wave down at ronnie while propping up a half-conscious vera who is immensely spotted and miserable, still wearing the oven mitts
which, in hindsight, is the kiss of death
turns out, john didn’t actually get the chicken pox at age five like he thought he did
JULIE got the chicken pox, and john spent the week at his grandma’s house getting fed ice cream and hobnobs
the next morning, the first spot appears
then another
and another
and before they know it
john is quarantined to the same wing of the house as vera, robbie, and kitty
“you’re an idiot,” dom sighs as she spoon feeds him chicken noodle soup while roger uses a cotton ball to spot calamine lotion on the worst of his blisters
“this is the worst thing thats ever happened to me,” bitches john, trying not to itch at his stomach
“papa, i don’t feel so good,” moans vera right before unleashing hell on the bedding
kitty and robbie heal up, and they advance to the healed wing of the house where roger spends his days enforcing naps (so he can nap) and playing monopoly
(he loses to robbie every round, even when he TRIES to win)
vera gets two more days in isolation before she’s deemed healthy, leaving just john to lay in quarantine alone, catching up on coronation street and his sleep
ronnie comes home after seventeen days bearing lots and lots of gifts for the kids
they all clamber all over her like puppies, each talking over the other as they talk about everything that they’ve done, what she missed, who had the most scabs (it was a tie between robbie and john), who threw up the most (vera), who had the highest fever (ha #2), and who ate the most oatmeal while in the bath (kitty).
that night, she is the only one allowed to put the kids to bed, tucking them each into bed with a kiss and a story
by the time she’s done, robbie snoring into his pillow, she’s exhausted
after seventeen days of pampering, she’s almost annoyed at having to share a bed again
she didn’t realize how lovely silk sheets were, or how nice it was to sleep diagonal
and did roger always run this hot at night??
but then dom curls up close next to her, her hand on her bump, and roger fluffs her pillows before she goes to sleep
and john slips his leg between hers to support her legs and she realizes that she’s never slept better
(that is until ha#1 throws himself into the middle of the bed announcing that he’d peed himself and no he hasn’t changed his pajamas)

“It’s just so hard not to fall in love with you.”
XXX
“And who is this?” Yoongi sat kicked back in his chair as he crossed his legs under his desk.  Two of his men just walked into his office, more like burst and stomped it as they dragged someone with them.
A woman.  Her hair was a mess as a scowl painted her face.  Her lip was split and a cut bled on her eyebrow as a shiner was forming under her left eye.  She snarled at the man who held her hands behind her back and shoved her forward as she bit at the hand of the other man who shoved her head forward.
Yoongi ticked his brow up as he interlaced his fingers together to rest on his lap.
“Sir, this woman was found assaulting a four-man unit and proceeded to fight and resist against us upon capture.”  You jerked at your hand, hoping to free yourself.  The man who held your wrists just tightened his hold, making you wince as you bent involuntarily due to the pain.  You squirmed.
“Assaulting a four-man unit? Which one,” Yoongi questioned.
“The one you assigned earlier this week for surveillance in the Southern Districts, Sir.” Yoongi hummed.  This woman looked like a wreck.  Shorts with pocket no deeper than her fingers and a shirt all torn into shreds at the ends.  Though, the twin garter hostlers attached to her thighs caught his attention.
“She was armed?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Where are her weapons.  I’d like to see them for myself if you wouldn’t mind.”  Yoongi stood from his chair as you shifted your attention from the goons holding you to the man waltzing up to your held back position.  “You both are dismissed.  Leave the woman with me and fetch her firearms immediately.”
“B-but, Sir-”
“Did I stutter?” His eyes pierced up at the man who was easily twice his size as he peered through the slits in his mint bangs.  The man released you and quickly retreated with his partner out of the office.
Yoongi looked at you again. You were on edge, in a defensive stance just in case he decided to pounce on you. Your arms out just enough to grab him and put him in some measly hold and legs bent and ready to move if the need arises.
“Be at ease, I have no intention of causing you harm.  It was not my intent to get anyone involved in a surveillance job. So, put your teeth away; you look like a dog.” Yoongi stepped backward until his rear hit his desk and he leaned against it.  Crossing his ankles in front of him as he placed his hands on his desk to support him.
You did seem to relax at the distance he place, but not completely.  Of course, it was to be expected.  No one would be relaxed when they were dragged into Mafia Territory and straight into the lion’s den.
“How did you lose your guns?” Yoongi asked.  You straightened your posture as you placed each hand on each of your empty holsters.
“Your stupid little lap dogs took them from me.  It’s what started this whole mess,” you seethed.  Even steeped in anger, Yoongi was surprised to find you had a rather pleasant voice. “If they would’ve just left me alone, we wouldn’t be discussing this.”  You tutted as you looked away to direct your glare elsewhere.  “Apparently some of your men have a problem with a woman carrying weapons.  When they tried to take them from me, I decided to use them.”
Yoongi burst out into laughter.  The unit he had sent out was a small ragtag group of men who really didn’t specialize in anything.  Just thinking about one of them trying to disarm a woman who offered no harm brought a laugh to bubble out of his gut.  As he held his stomach his office door opened and soon a well-dressed man with your guns entered.
He was young, taller than you by a bit and walked towards Yoongi like he’d known him all his life.
“Sounds like a party in here,” he said as he moved to stand beside the mafia boss.  “Here you are, two pretty guns that belong to a pretty lady just as you asked.” The man looked over his shoulder and winked at you.  You were speechless, unable to figure out how you should react to that.
Yoongi swiped your guns as he looked them over.  “Stop flirting and save it for another time, Hoseok.” As Yoongi examined your guns, Hoseok danced over to you in an overly familiar fashion as he got right up in your business.
“So, you’re the chick-"
“Manners,” Yoongi interrupted.
“Sorry, the woman that knocked out our survey unit huh?  Wow, you're younger than I thought.”  He crouched down and started poking at your thighs and pulling on your hostler straps and making them snap against your skin.  “Wow, this is pretty durable fabric, how’d you get that!”  You kicked at Hoseok as he now sat on his rear as your face flared in a red hue.
“Get off my dick!  Just because you have my guns doesn’t mean you can go around touching my thighs you sicko!” You bit at him as you took two very large steps back, you could feel the wall nearly touching your shoulders now.  Hoseok just whistled as he moved to sit more comfortably on the ground, not bothering to get up.
Yoongi noticed a pair of initials inscribed on the side of the guns. “Are these your initials then?”
“They are.” Yoongi smiled as he clicked the safe lock of one gun off and pointed it at you.  You were across the room and you froze as you looked at the barrel of your gun.  “What are you gonna do, shoot me after you unfairly capture me?”
Yoongi shut his eyes as he lowered the gun back down and click the lock back into place. “Not at all,” he then tossed each gun to you as you caught them and immediately slotted them back into their hostlers and clipped them shut, securing your firearms. “I know your initials, but I’ll need to know your name as well.”
“Why is that?”
“Because as of today, you’re going to be working under me.”
XXX
“Y/n!” Yoongi entered the firing range where you had retreated when Hoseok ditched you after combat training.  You had a lot on your mind and the range where you can shot what the fuck you wanted so long as it was in front of you sounded like a good way to blow off steam.
You halted fire as you pulled your muffling headphones off your head to rest on the back of your neck and shoulders.  You pushed your safety glasses up to your head, moving your hair to reveal your forehead.  Locking your gun, you placed it on the firing table and turned your attention to your boss.
You wouldn’t forget the day Yoongi forced you into his employ.  He did so rather literally, calling your previous job and quitting for you as he pretty much put you on house arrest at his estate. Despite your literal kicking and screaming, Yoongi was much more resilient than he looked when his sights were set on something.
He always said he saw some sort of potential in you, but you never believed him.  You knew him for 10 minutes max before he decided that you were going to work for him.
You worked alongside Hoseok, Yoongi’s personal bodyguard and right hand.  With Hoseok on Yoongi’s right, you were always on his left.
It’s been almost half a year since then.  Yoongi was every bit the mafia scare he was talked up to be.  Merciless when it came to his trade and taking his work more than seriously.  He was cooped up in his office more than often and when he went out it was always to bars and casinos only to end up in some sort of brawl by the end of the night somehow.
Though, you and Hoseok both knew he wasn't just that man.  He was someone else too. He was the Yoongi he used to be before he was roped into this stupid, bloody life.  He was someone who enjoyed sitting in his own private home with his dog.  He was someone who always kept tabs on and looked after his parents without dragging them into his own messy life.
He wasn’t a fan of sweets and liked bitter things.  He preferred coffee to tea and he always slept with two blankets and three pillows.  He absolutely hated wearing socks to bed and had a habit of sleep stripping if he got too hot at night.
He and Hoseok had known each other since their early years of college before they both dropped out due to where they are now.  They were brothers if not blood-related ones.
Hoseok had once told you that Yoongi was softer to you that he was to his other female staff.  He treated you different and more delicately.  Although that was almost offensive when thinking about your physical abilities, Hoseok made sure to explain that it was only because Yoongi though highly of you.
Recently, you’ve been trying your damnedest to try and keep a good profile up for Yoongi as much as possible.  You wanted to impress him and show him you had so much more to offer than just two pretty guns sitting pretty on your thighs.  You wanted to be someone capable and someone Yoongi can rely on.
Little did you know that Yoongi has been watching you since day one and he’s had enough of you putting yourself through hell.
“Why are you here?” Yoongi asked as he stood in front of you.  He could see the bags under your eyes and the sheen of sweat from being in this stuffy room for god knows how long now.  He didn’t even see a water bottle around for you to sip on while here.
“Why else would anyone come to a shooting range, Yoongi?  I’m practicing.”
“You’ve nearly shot a hole through that target with how many times you hit the same area.  You’re skilled enough as a markswoman.  Take a break.”
“No,” you defied.
“Y/n,” Yoongi warned.  He sighed as he grabbed the gun you were shooting from the table and moved you to stand in your slot.  He unlocked the gun and aimed for the head of the metal sheet of a target before opening fire.
You covered your ears as the shots echoed and reverberated on the walls.  He shot until the gun ran out of bullet and he emptied each magazine laying around.
The gun was empty and warm when he placed it back down and turned to you again.  He yanked the glasses off your head and took the headphones off your neck before he tossed them onto the table with the discarded gun.
He took your hand before he started dragging you off.  He stopped as he opened the door and reveal Hoseok twirling a small knife around in boredom.
“Clean up for her will you,” Yoongi address as Hoseok mosied on inside as Yoongi dragged you off.  You gave up on fighting him not long after he started pulling you along to wherever it was he was taking you.  Not having the energy to fight him off and knowing he was as bullheaded as a bullet, you gave in.
He made it to his room- a far too grand one to be fair for any person’s sleeping quarters- as he pulled you inside along with him and shut the door behind him.  He pulled you to the bed before he pushed you onto it.
He rolled over you before he came to lay at your side, holding you down as he held his arms around your waist.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” You asked him. He closed his eyes as he lay on top of his bed comforter with you.  Not even bothering with shimming it out from under you both.
“Nothing.  Now go to sleep.”
“It’s the middle of the afternoon?”
“And you haven’t slept since yesterday.”
“You... knew about that?”
Yoongi opened his eyes and looked at you.  “I’ve known everything since you first stepped foot here.  I’ve never looked away from you and I don’t plan to.”
“What? Is this some sort of confession or something? Because It’s hardly romantic,” you rolled your eyes.  He was charming, but he sorely lacked in any kind of romance based topic.
“Does a proclamation of something like this need to be romantic?”
You looked at him.  “You-you're not actually serious are you?”
“What do you mean?”
“You... Do you like me?  Like, like-like me?”
“Are you in grade school?  No one says ‘like-like’ anymore.  You’re more fluent in your words and yet that’s what you say?” You bicker at him for being a hypocrite as he just laughed at you.  He pulled you further under his chin as he closed his eyes again. “It’s just so hard not to fall in love with you.”
“Love is a strong word, Yoongi.”
“A strong woman deserves strong words, don’t you agree?” It was silent, yet you didn’t move.  “Y/n?” He called yet still nothing. moving, he smiled when he saw you already sleeping.  Face bright red as your fists held small bits of his shirt to ensure he wouldn’t be going anywhere. “Sleep well my dear,” he brushed your hair back and kissed your forehead. “We have much to talk about when you wake up, but no hurry. You’re even more adorable when you’re sleeping in my arms like this. Rest and I’ll be here- always.”

Is this it?
I wake up, I go to work, I spend 8 hours in my office practically speaking to no one, I get home and cook, by the time I finish eating, I’m too tired to do much. I don’t feel physically tired, just depressed. I’ve legitimately asked myself “why am I even awake? What is there for me to even do?” and I just... go to sleep by 9 o’clock. I wake up, and I do it all over again. It’s been like this for almost a year now. I feel so isolated, so alone.
I’ve been trying to "suck it up” and do things I enjoy, but prefer to do with other people, such as going to movies, going out to eat, watching TV shows, etc. I went to a movie alone over the weekend and I tried a restaurant that I’ve wanted to eat at last night. It was okay, but the same thing always happens when I get home: the emptiness returns. The reason I like doing these things with other people is because the part I enjoy the most are the post-event conversations. “What was your favorite part?”, “Should we go back sometime?”, “What do you think will happen next?”. I haven’t had a genuine conversation with someone in so long, it’s all just performative “hello”s and “how are you”s with people at work. It’s fake and empty and I hate it, but I try to be polite and keep the act going.
I tried going out on a date once since my last relationship ended, and it turned into a nightmare. I met someone on a dating app and, very long story short, she was just using me for money and a place to stay. She kept saying things that made me feel special... “I think I really like you”, “I haven’t met anyone I’ve gotten along with this well before”, “It feels like you actually understand me”, “I can’t believe you like (thing), that’s my favorite!”, etc. We spent a together, practically living together, and then suddenly she just... snapped. She refused to talk to me, only wanted to watch TV alone, slept on the couch for hours at a time, and would scream at me to leave her alone if I asked what was bothering her. Admittedly, it was stupid of me to get involved with someone so hard so fast, but the way she acted and things she said made me feel like I wasn’t alone. I guess that was the point. Take advantage of some pathetic, lonely guy who she could squeeze food, money, and lodging out of. It turned into a shouting match eventually, and I had to call the cops to have her removed. Wonderful.
I don’t know how to meet people, especially with romantic intent in mind. Most of my hobbies keep me in the house, and those that take me outside of it are generally “male dominated spaces” anyway. Sometimes I’ll see someone working at a café or restaurant that I think is attractive and friendly, but I feel like an asshole bothering people at work, especially if it’s to ask them out. What if they’re already in a relationship? Also, what if we end up having nothing in common? So I just sort of go along and keep to myself, for fear of coming off like a creep who hits on people while they’re trying to do their job.
On top of everything else, I have a difficult time developing feelings for someone unless I get to know them. This was perfectly fine when I was in college or high school, where I was regularly forced to interact with the same people every day, some of which were guaranteed to be of similar age and the opposite gender. Now, I’m lucky if I’m even in the same room as a woman who is my age. My office is nothing but old men, the hobby/game stores I go to are all filled with guys, and I don’t really go anywhere else...
It doesn’t help that I moved out to the middle of nowhere for this job. While I enjoy the work itself, and it pays better than any job I’ve had previously, there’s nothing to do out here. There’s nothing but farms and strip malls, nothing like being literally 10 min outside of Philly. My friends barely make an effort to keep in touch, either. I made a discord server specifically so we could keep talking and remain in contact, but over the past few months it’s fallen silent. I made an effort to post things or start conversations every couple of days, but no one responds, and it just sits there, ignored.
There are a small group of people for whom I try to remain strong, however. I know if anything ever happened to me, my mother would go insane. Even if we never communicate and have had a less-than-perfect relationship, I know that she worries about me. My friend Kris is very kind and supportive, and they’ve been one of the most impactful people in helping me weather through this turmoil of emotions. I wouldn’t want to hurt them by disappearing after everything they’ve done to try and help me. My friends, even though they’ve sort of gone quiet, would probably miss me. I wouldn’t want anyone to feel guilty, either.
Maybe I’ve just made too many mistakes in the past and this is my life now. When I was younger, I used to beg and plead to whatever higher power existed to just be alone in my own little world, but back then I was regularly being abused by my mother and other kids at school. I ended up so emotionally and psychologically twisted that when I finally started to meet people who genuinely liked me and were kind to me, I pushed them away or hurt them. Maybe I got healthy too late for it to matter. Maybe this is my punishment for waiting too long to actually address and adjust my issues. I know that sounds dramatic and fatalistic, but I can’t help but look back on my life and think of all the opportunities I had to have a normal, fulfilling life... and because of my own self-loathing, decided to blow it to pieces. Realistically, how many times can someone expect to do that and still have a shot at happiness?
I’m getting older, and where most of the people I know are getting married or buying houses with their spouse, I’m just... stuck. I’m rotting away, alone, spending half of my time doing chores and the other half sleeping, both just to keep my brain occupied and away from being reminded of how likely it is that this is the rest of my life. I have to quickly cycle past songs or movies that remind me of things that happened in the past. For some reason, I assume due to my trauma, I can remember things extremely well. This might seem like a benefit, until you stumble across a movie you first saw with an ex nearly ten years ago, and all the memories of that night spring to life as if it were yesterday. Her hair, her clothes, her voice, the way her body’s contours fit against yours while cuddling.... you can hear her saying the cute epithet that she chose for you... and it tears through you like cold steel, leaving you a twitching, shivering mess, a heaving pile of sadness and tears. Those days will never come back, she’ll never come back. She loved you and she’s never coming back.
I’m trying really to hold it all together, but spending so much time alone... feeling like I lost all my friends... not having someone special to come home to... It’s making everything feel so futile and useless. Why keep plugging along if my only reward is just the same unfulfilling emptiness, day after day.
I don’t know what else to say. I had to get this out somewhere, because I could already feel myself starting to get emotional at work thinking about it all.
Good bye for now, I guess.

No read more because I'm on mobile and my fucks ran out 3 hours ago.
Gather ‘round children. I have a story to tell about the shitshown that has been on my Punta Cana trip thus far (less than 8 hours).
Got to the airport in the US no problem. It’s a big travel day so we didn’t have to take our shoes off or our electronics out in security. My sister evidently got her bottle of mace through they were so lax. There was a good good doggo sniffing bags tho. He worked so hard.
Next, the plane. I slept a lot, got through a third of the first of one of my books I brought. I sat next to a lady that was a nervous flyer, so I did my best to be nonchalant to calm her.
Finally, we land. I was a pretty quick flight when you compare it to going to China so it seemed like nothing. This is when the trouble starts….
They must have had a short luggage pickup line because they had a lot of guys who worked at the airport pick up the bags and just set them around… and when you went to go grab your bag they would try to get you to pay to use their trolley (they didn’t say this up front, but I’ve travelled enough to know). Myself and the daughter from the other family grabbed all the bags while the rest of the chucklefucks shopped in the duty free shop for booze. They wouldn’t let us take the bag out of that area if they weren't ours. We waiting for a HALF HOUR for the assholes to come claim their bags. The lady who was actually checking passports LEFT because they were taking so long. (FYI, our party is nine people. Imagine two girls in a seat of suitcases for a half hour) My dad actually got pissed at ME when I got frustrated they were taking so long. (All everyone else wants to do on this trip is get blackout wasted every day sooooo booze come first always)
Dad: “WELL what do you want me to do????”
Me: “I want you assholes to come get your bags since we’ve been standing here waiting for you for HOW LONG??”
Dad: “Well we’re finishing up in the duty free store. I don’t know what you want us to do. We’re checking out now.”
Me: “It would have been nice if we could have gotten our bags BEFORE you guys decided alcohol was the most important thing. You know, get our bags, THEN go to duty free, like I SAID.”
He threw up his hands and walked away. But this is just the beginning dea people.
I had nothing to do with booking this trip. It’s something I had no interest in doing and yet here we are because it’s a “family” trip. Anyway, my dad and the mother of the other family that came with us booked cars for us WEEKS in advance. They got two minivans, one for each family. Spoiler alert: they didn’t have the cars. Apparently, their “system was down” so despite us reserving those cars they couldn’t see it and thus gave away the cars we were supposed to use. We spent AN HOUR trying to get shit sorted out. First, they wanted to give us a 12 person van and a car, upcharge us on them AND refused to give us a quote until we gave them our credit card. Wtf???
Needless to say, we went to another place. We rented a 12 person van, got a quote and went out to wait FOR ANOTHER HOUR. Eventually a few representatives came to meet us which introduces us to the shining angel of this story (no pun indened), Gabriel. He saved us sooooo many times. My family is taking him out to dinner currently. But even Gabriel can’t save everything.
We asked the reps SIX TIMES if all of use and our luggage would all fit in the van. They told us yes SIX TIMES. I think you can guess how that went. The “12 person” van could 100% fit 12 people…. If they had no luggage. With luggage we literally had no leg room with how close the seats had to be. I’m talking sitting cross-legged on the seats. And holding our carry-ons in our laps. For obvious reasons this didn’t work for us. May I remind you, we have been at this airport for 2.5 hours. It’s approaching 5 o’clock and we haven’t eaten since breakfast.
So our final HOUR at the airport is spent making a deal with the people that run the car service. One guy kept saying, “It’s not the van that’s the problem, it’s the luggage. If it was just you guys there would be no problem.”
.
.
.
WE ARE AT AN AIRPORT.
[Note: at this point all the daughters are in the van and I say, “Hey, should we turn the van off? The AC is on and the gas gauge looks a little low.”
“Nah, this isn’t our car and we’re not paying for the gas.” This will be important later]
Next, we FINALLY make a deal, since they screwed us over with the vans they will bring another van out just for our luggage. One of our group will ride in there with that. THEN there is a whole argument because they won’t accept a credit card unless we drive 30 mins out of our way to go to their offices. They want us to pay upward of $1000 in pesos/cash. Eventually EVENTUALLY, we leave.
We drive 10 mins from the airport and the low gas light comes on. Remember what I mentioned before? Yeah. We call Gabriel (in the other car), the two cars pull over to the side of the road and you know what Gabrial says???
“Oh shit.”
He tells us we should turn back but my dad (driving) insists they can make it to a rest stop. We make it…. With 5km of gas left in the tank.
This whole time, we’re trying to get in contact with the owner of the AirBNB we rented to let her know we were coming. We learn not long after we get to the resort her property is on that the phone number she gave us was disconnected. We tried desperately to contact her because we don’t have the keys???
Eventually we get to the resort and while checking in they tell our family that we must pay EXTRA for the resort amenities. Cue another HOUR of arguing because and extra $600 per family??? Yeah, no. Our BNB host was supposed to have already paid for that. The kids, minus me, start to do shots in the parking lot.
Finally that gets ‘solved’ and we start to drive to the lot. We have to turn around at one point because the leading car went the wrong way. Eventually I just ripped the map away and guided us, 100% correct may I say, to the right house.
We have a maid??? Which I feel super uncomfortable with. She doesn’t speak English but she was still so so so sweet. I think the shitshow is almost over. There was a kitty on our deck so I took quite time to just pet him. I love him.
Next, apparently the guy who drove Gabriel and the father from the other family was demanding more money for “wasting so much of his time.” Gabriel told him no because that wasn’t in the deal. The guy drove off and left Gabriel. Gabriel insisted he could have his cousin come pick him up but we told him to wait and we’d take him out to dinner.
There was one thing I specified needing this trip; reliable WiFi. I only work part time and thus, do not actually get vacation hours. The only way I could come on this trip was with the promise I’d be available for meetings over the phone and to answer emails. Guess what didn’t work at first and works slow as balls when I’m the only one here??? THE WIFI. Again, Gabriel was our savior because his actually job is installing illegal internet so he saved our bacon.
So yeah, that was my first 5-6 hours in the Dominican Republic. I’m going to be looking at the prices for early flights home… just in case.

final week of the semester.
my voice teacher is incredible.
im listening to him singing as i write this and wow its making me feel so emo haha.
john texted me today.
he said he read all my letters.
this past weekend was really fun.
on wednesday, i borrowed brixton’s car and drove to irvine and driving alone on a semi empty freeway with a playlist full of your favorite songs is just the best feeling ever. but i drove to shin’s and we actually spent a handful of hours together lol. we first just sat in the car and sang to the script and then the first time we fucked, he literally came so quickly haha it was actually kinda insane. and then we just sorta laid there in the back and cuddled and talked for the next hour.  after the second round we eventually decided he should go back to studying but we decided to shoot some hoops :p before saying bye, so we went to the court right by his house and he showed me how to play. then i hung out with brian briefly and basically just drove around irvine until i decided donut star was the only place open LOL. then the weekend came, but i had work friday night so i wasnt expecting to see shin.  i wasn’t really checking my phone but i was in a lot of pain cause i was really hungry and high lmao. he had texted me asking if i need him to bring me any food or drink but since i was auxing i wasnt checking my phone, so i had no idea he had asked. i was just going about trying to survive the rest of my shift and then harry looked for me saying someone was on the phone for me. i was quite confused cause i couldnt think of who would call me through WORK, but when i picked up the line was silent. i didnt think anything of it honestly, thought it was some prank if anything. then i checked my phone and was sad i didnt see it earlier. i went home and showered and shin called me and then told me it was him who called LOLOLOLOLOL cutest thing ever. then he said we can go get food, so he came to get me and he said he wanted to be home by 1, if not 12:30 and it was like around 11:45 or something so i rolled my eyes and agreed. he got ice cream first ofc, and then we went to the innout at utc and i said i wanted boba too so we parked first to get cha. then we went through the drive thru and then he stopped at pv :p and i ate and these like 4 cars all pulled up and parked one by one and they were obviously high schoolers just trynna smoke probably but they left and then came back in one car just to “have a good laugh” attempting to scare us or some shit? lol but shin said a lot of sweet things. and things that i feel the same exact way about. like, he said hes so happy he met me, and that he cant imagine his life without me. he also said that he thinks he might like me.  i didn’t really say anything, and even when he kept asking what i was thinking about i didn’t say anything.  he did reiterate that he doesn’t want to be in a relationship and i get that but yeah. then on saturday omg i probably won’t ever let go of this but i made him wait like almost 40 min in front of my house...... i was getting out of coco with karina and i thought i would be home around 8/8:15 but traffic was so bad and shin wanted to get chronic tacos for dinner so he was gonna get me after gyming but yeah :( i feel really bad still. i felt rlly bad so as soon as i got in the car he like basically told me the sitch and so i started crying LOL i just fucking hate doing that to people.  then i got home and ate my burrito while watching the office and then just stayed in bed till i slept and then i woke up at like 3 cause shin called me and then i stayed on the phone with him till he was done with his work and we hung up around 5. but he asked if i wanted to study with him the next day and i was really down so we said ok 10 am and said good night. before  the first time i fell asleep, he called me just to tell me he fnished his big ass burrito and was like “i dont know why but yeah i just wanted to tell you” haha.
then i woke up around 11 and called him and every time i called, his sleepy ass would pick up, but would say he needs like 20 more min haha and i could tell how sleepy he was so i let him sleep till a little before 2.  then he came and got me and we got to uci and found a room and worked and stayed there until a little before 8. i took a little break in between to meet with karina at cha to get my wallet and boba. josh was working and i wanted to tell him i was with shin haha but he was making drinks and didnt take my order so i didnt. the sky was so beautiful! i was really happy that i took that break and didnt miss the sunset. lowkey wish shin and i took a break together though to see the sunset together.  but yeah then shin said we can go get seulangtang so we said ok at 8 we’ll leave and eat. oh i also saw justin!!! he was studying in the same area as us after we moved. Then we left and ate and it was dankies.  he ate so much odang.... like 5 dishes...............  and then we tried getting ice cream but rite aid didnt have anything cause apparently thats a thing on sundays and then he dropped me home.
that was my weekend

Nottingham Bound
I’ve been successfully living in Nottingham, England for about 2 weeks and really starting to get the hang of UK life! But first let’s rewind to my departure date on Tuesday, September 19th…my lovely parents and I woke up bright and early and departed to Tampa airport around 9am for my first flight TPA to ATL where we hurriedly hugged goodbye for as long as we could in the drop off area. My mom helped me wheel in my absurd amount of luggage to check my bags then I was on my own! I breezed through security and hung out at the gate anxiously watching the screen for a seat to be assigned to me (those of you who have never flown standby don’t know the torment of wondering “Will I make it on this flight?!”. Prior to boarding I was assigned a seat (a middle seat but luckily, it’s a short flight) and started in on my current read, “What Happened” by Hillary Clinton, for a majority of the flight.
Upon arrival in ATL I knew I had time to kill prior to my connection to Heathrow so I made my way toward Gate E and F where international flights leave. After a successful flight I figured I deserved a drink so I sat down at the Piano Bar in the food court area and ordered an overpriced glass of Sauvignon Blanc. While sipping my wine a girl who I presumed was a few years younger than me sat down a seat away from me and asked if the seat was taken. I replied no, go ahead and sit down and we got to talking. Turns out she was heading to Madrid, Spain! My home-away-from-home, what a nice little coincidence. She said she would be flying in and out of Madrid and traveling all over Spain for a span of about a month. I couldn’t wait to give her some tips of what to see and she asked for restaurant recommendations so I recommended La Rollerie which is a cute café where I ate almost every day during my first week located right in Puerta del Sol right in the heart of Madrid! I also told her about how some museums do discounted entry on Thursday evenings. Then I finished my wine, wished her luck and headed to grab a bite to eat and go to my gate.
When I got to Gate F5 there was no one in sight because I was so early so I plopped my stuff down, snacked on my veg subway sandwich and anxiously waited for my departure. Last time I left the country I talked to my sister Shelyah who calmed my nerves by saying how proud she was of me and that she believed I would be very successful and this time I talked to my sister Maddie. We talked about our days, reminisced a little, and talked about her coming to visit me in England. By this time people had gathered at the gate and the gate agents called my name to come up to the desk. When I went up to the desk I found out I was upgraded to first class! (One of my flight attendant friends told me first class seats cost $8k… holy crap). I was flying overseas in style! As I boarded I sat down and was immediately offered champagne which I humbly accepted 😉 The rest of the flight was pretty relaxing. We departed the east coast around 6pm and were set to arrive in London at 7am local time. During the flight I watched movies, listened to music, tried to sleep (which is difficult to do even in the fully reclining seats in first class), and of course ate and drank lots of yummy food and alcoholic bevvies. Landing in London was smooth and we were served breakfast but I was exhausted because  I had slept about 2 hours during the flight.
Customs was an absolutely ridiculous experience because they herded all the students like cattle into a blob of a line which took probably just short of 2 hours to wait in but I met a nice undergrad student who was from Malaysia. He told me when he went to New York and was unfortunately one of the detainees at the airport after Trump’s inauguration. He said they held him for 9 hours, took his phone, and didn’t really tell him what was going on. He said he was relieved to be released and able to call his family and even in spite of that he enjoyed his time in the states. I apologized on behalf of all Americans who didn’t vote for Trump (and the ones who did) and explained I was glad to leave the country for a year to escape the divided country America had become in recent years. After finally making it through customs and grabbing a cart to collect all my bags I decided to head toward the underground. It felt like I walked about 2 miles through the Heathrow airport with my stupid and heavy luggage cart until I realized riding the underground would be nearly impossible with all my luggage and being tired and cranky I decided to bite the bullet and see how much a taxi would be to get me to the St. Pancras train station where I had booked a train ticket to take me to Nottingham. Since I didn’t have a signal on my phone to call an uber - I didn’t have many other options. The taxi driver said it would cost me 80 pounds ($110) and be an hour and 15 min ride. I agreed and just put it on my credit card...ouch. I fought sleep the entire ride to the train station and then awkwardly struggled to drag all my luggage inside. I got directions from a nice policeman to the correct platform and there was wifi in the waiting area so I texted my landlord Sarah that I was in London. She said she would pick me up at the train station in Notts and bring me to my flat. All of this went as planned and when I finally got on the train I passed out dead asleep only to be awakened 15 minutes later by the ticket checker poking me…*Ticket please*… Oh here you go I said and then went back to sleep. Nottingham was the last stop on the train and when I unloaded everything I only had to wait a few minutes before Sarah arrived. The drive was quick to my flat which is in a small gated community of brick flats which mainly house students. Since I was the first one to arrive she let me have my pick of the girls’ rooms and I chose the biggest one 😊
The next day I decided to walk to campus for international student induction and random errands I needed to run. My first day was a HOT. MESS. I literally walked 10 miles trying to find my way from home to both campuses. Even using Google Maps and a campus map was confusing because some buildings have the same names. After getting good and sweaty, asking for directions umpteen times, and finally getting cash out so I was able to take the bus home later I actually made some progress on the errands I needed to accomplish which was picking up my Student ID card, BRP card (local English ID confirming visa status), and a schedule of events on campus.
A few days later my roommates started moving in (3 guys and 2 other girls). Mattia was the first to move in, he is Italian. Then Fran (English girl), Tom (English guy), and Max (German guy). And finally, Lauren (English girl). All of us get along very well so far and even ran some errands together to get some things for our bedrooms to feel more at home. I got “fairy lights” (which are just fancier named Christmas lights), a small purple lamp, and paper lantern to cover the naked lightbulb hanging from my ceiling. My room is pretty cozy now and even better that we have heat! All of us roomies get along very well and just had a successful “movie” night where I invited my course mates over and my flatmates joined us for pizza, wine, and snacks in our lounge. It was loads of fun and we all got along well with each other!
P.s. I booked my first adventure to Berlin, Germany on Nov 3-6 and some of my friends are planning to come too! Very excited to have a few getaways during my year abroad!

To the boy who broke me into a million pieces
Dear
Never in a million years did I think that I would be writing something like this, and definitely not about you. But after everything these past two and a half years, this is where we have come to. You were my first everything. My first sex partner, the first person I opened my heart up to, the first boy I let see me naked, the first boy I brought to Christmas, the first boy I travelled with, my first true love.
6 months ago you broke my heart. You broke up with me out of nowhere and couldn’t explain yourself. You couldn’t tell me why or what I did wrong, you didn’t give us a chance to work on things. You simply told me you didn’t love me anymore and you didn’t want to be with me. For six weeks I have never felt so worthless, so ugly, so insecure, so broken. I slept with my mum every night, crying into her arms. I called in sick to work everyday because I physically could not function. I didn’t eat, I didn’t sleep, I couldn’t live. I felt completely broken. Not at the fact that you broke up with me, but how you did it. You couldn’t even sit down and have a conversation with me. You couldn’t even give me an explanation, a chance to talk things through. We tried to be “friends” but you never treated me like a friend. To you I was a speed dial booty call. There was one night I was so drunk and I had no way of getting home so I asked you to pick me up. You told me it wasn’t your problem anymore and that I was fucked for asking you. You let me walk home, in the dark, at 1am. But then you came to my house twenty minutes after I got home, picked me up, took me to a park, had sex with me and dropped me back home. You didn’t know it at the time, but you were destroying me. I was losing who I was, everything I stood for, my self worth, my dignity. On Christmas night we had sex and you told me you were scared that you had an accident. I did my best not to panic because I knew you would be going crazy. On New Years Eve I realised my period was late and I was having some weird signs downstairs. I called you, crying, scared, alone. All I wanted was company, to feel like I wasn’t going to be alone. Again, you told me it wasn’t your problem and to call one of my friends. I asked you if you could take me to go buy a test and you told me it wasn’t a big deal, you told me you talked to friends at work and they told me to grow up and just buy one. I have never felt so disgusted, inferior or insecure in my whole entire life. A guy I had spent two years with, couldn’t even drive me to the pharmacy to check if I was having his child?!
The morning of New Years Day was the day I decided I wasn’t going to waste my time on feeling miserable about you. I finally decided I deserved better, to feel loved, appreciated, adored. I was at my beach house that whole week, you were staying two streets down. Not once did you offer to drive me to get a test. You had your boys week, I had my girls week. I was feeling better. I finally was starting to feel normal about myself again. I felt like a human being, I felt like I was respected, important, valued - all of the qualities you had taken away from me. Then at the end of the week I see you at Mat’s 21st and you tell me “I think I still have feelings for you and there’s 50% of me that wants to be with you”. Why the fuck am I going to give you another chance after everything you made me feel and there’s only half of you wants to be with me?
I probably spent a month trying to figure out whether you were being genuine or not. I remember sitting with you at a park one night and I told you if there wasn’t a chance we were going to be together at the end of it, I couldn’t do it. I always wanted to try and work things out with you, but I knew I couldn’t do it just yet. You had completely and utterly destroyed me in more pieces I even knew I had. You made me feel the most low, disgusting and worthless feelings about myself.
I loved you, the whole time, but I honestly couldn’t get past how shit you had made me feel about myself. I couldn’t get past you using me a sex object, or refusing to take me to get a pregnancy test, or refusing to talk to me about why you broke up with me. You were telling me how in love with me you were, how I was the love of your life, the most important thing in your life, how you see us with a future together.
You were going through a hard time and as much as I was still broken I was still there for you as best as I could be. I would force you to go see a psychologist, I would sit with you in your car crying your eyes out, I would let you pick me up when I went out, I would see you at least once a week for a coffee or dinner, I would let you sleep over to make sure you got a good night sleep, I would hold you to make sure you knew everything was going to be okay. I spent hours crying because I didn’t know how to be there for you when I was still hurting so bad. But I did my best because I cared about you, I loved you, and I just wanted you to be okay.
I told you nearly a month ago, that I wanted to try again. I wanted to work on us slowly. As soon as I told you, you pushed me away. You went and saw Ash the next night instead of me. Then the next week you tell me you don’t want to try again but you still have feelings and will always love me. I tried to fight for you but you pushed me away. You wouldn’t speak to me (again), wouldn’t answer my questions (again), couldn’t give me anything I needed.
I’m sitting here tonight/this morning, June 4th 2017, the most fucked up, broken, shattered version I’ve ever been. I am so lost at the moment - and that’s not to do with us. But it’s to do with who I am and just losing my feet of where I belong. I’ve reached out to you a few times and not because I want you as my boyfriend there, but because you’re just one person who I just feel like myself around. Last night I messaged you and you made every excuse under the sun to not see me. All I wanted was to lie down, for a few minutes, get back on my feet and leave. At around 10:30 you say I have 20 mins to get there, and tell me not to complain when you touch me. I lay in your bed, just to have a little sleep and feel safe for twenty minutes and you’re cuddly, kissy - but apparently that’s just to turn me on. When I tell you I don’t want to have sex (which I told you before I arrived), you tell me to leave. I question how are we friends if we can’t hang out and I can’t talk to you when I need. You tell me when we are in bed together we aren’t friends but we are friends with benefits. You say “so are you coming back inside or are you leaving?” I say, “I’m not having sex with you” and you say “okay bye” and close the door on my face.
Tonight I’m kicked out of home. Only you understand my home dynamics and for some stupid reason I message you. To talk. As friends. You refer me to everyone else. I’m in my car for hours, breaking down literally so fucking lost because I don’t even know how I got to such a point where I felt so low about myself and who I am. How do I make everyone around me hate me? How is it that no one wants to be around me? You call me at 11:30, saying as a last resort I can stay at yours. I tried to talk to you and explain I don’t think it’s a good idea because I don’t want to have sex and you’re not acting as my friend. You hang up on me. So we message again. And here, here is where you completely and truly lost me. I said, “you’re a hero mate, offers me a bed and tells me to shut up”, you say “I am...could go down on you”. Tonight was the closest I have ever contemplated taking my own life, and you are talking about sex. I tell you I’m done, you’re disgusting, you say “waste”. I tell you, “don’t talk to me again until you actually grow some fucking balls and stop treating me like a piece of shit because you’re scared, like you did all of fucking January.” You reply - “Could be bouncing hour way way to an orgasm.. boring”.
After reading that message I looked into the mirror and broke down and cried for hours. Here I am, breaking, literally reaching out to you on my last limb and all you care about is sex????? When the fuck did I become a sex object to someone. When the fuck did my feelings, my brain, my personality, my ambitions, my hopes become irrelevant to my vagina? For the second time in six months, you have completely degraded me and everything I am worth. You have taken away my dignity, my pride, my confidence. You have destroyed and broken me into pieces I didn’t even know existed. You have made me feel worthless. Like I don’t exist and the two and a half years filled with memories we spent together literally mean nothing.
The sad thing is, you can keep denying it but I know you love me. You always will. You are so scared that because you aren’t thinking about me 24/7 that it means you don’t love me and your heart isn’t in it and you don’t want to make the same mistakes again so you aren’t giving it a try. But you sit there everyday, checking my Instagram, my Facebook, wondering where I am or what I’m doing or who I’m speaking to. You know I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to you. You know I make you laugh, smile, fight more than you ever have before. You know you will never feel what you feel/felt for me with another girl again. You know you will never do all the crazy adventures, funny memories with another girl again. So instead, you push me away, degrade me and make me feel non-existent so that you don’t have to deal with your feelings. You push me away so you don’t have to be reminded on what you’re so scared of getting back.
But regardless of that, the way you have made me feel over the past few months and tonight is so disgusting. I know that if you read this today you won’t take it in. You won’t even acknowledge it, you’ll just make an excuse for your behaviour. But I want you to read it one day, when you’re a man, so you can see what you did to me. I want you to realise how badly you broke me, how much you hurt me, how much you damaged me and made me feel so lost that I don’t even know who I am anymore. I want you to realise your actions, your words have a detrimental impact on me. They hurt, they do. They’ve broken me.

"Happy anniversary, bubb." Eunice said, finally letting go of what she has planned. She thought about how many things she planned that never went as it is. Well, Jimin was one of them and she will forever be thankful.
"3 years into our relationship and we already spend our anniversary like this?
"Nah, I love you more." Jimin was about to kiss her when the curtains suddenly flew open, both of them shook by it.
If it's me, you always know, like you've known me for 20 years." She said before closing her eyes and rubbing Jimin's back, cooing him to sleep too.
Eunice nodded, "Okay." Jimin smiled again, "Okay, baby, let's do that." He said with finality.
Jungkook and Toshimaru both hopped into the car and off they go to Jimin's house.
Jimin’s house have a big window on its kitchen, which is why they can view what’s happening inside
“I’m sorry, bubba.
“Hey, you don’t get to say that when it took you a lot of years before dating Lexi!” Yoongi calls Taehyung out, making all of them laugh.
“No, you can’t do that in classrooms.” Rianne humored them, making Jungkook shy and bury his face on Toshimaru’s hair.
Seokjin cleared his throat and looked at Jimin and Eunice, “For the two of you, did you already order the flowers and made sure that they’re perfect.” Jimin raised both of his thumbs up, “Eunice ordered them a month ago, sent them ideas for arrangement, oriented them on the arrangement at the venue.
“Already rented the beach, the hotel, the reception area.” Rianne mouthed a ‘thank you’ to Namjoon.
