Daily Scripture Text: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31 (King James Version)
Commentary: Isaiah 40:31 speaks to the power and promise of waiting upon the Lord. It reminds us that those who patiently place their trust in God will experience a renewal of strength beyond their own abilities. Just as eagles soar effortlessly above the earth, those who wait upon the Lord will find themselves empowered to overcome obstacles, persevere in their journey, and continue to walk in faith without growing weary or faint. This verse serves as an encouragement to cultivate patience and perseverance in our relationship with God, trusting in His timing and provision.
Questions:
How do you practice waiting upon the Lord in your life?
What areas of your life do you need to surrender to God's timing and direction?
How does the promise of renewed strength inspire you to persevere in your faith journey?
Prayer: Dear Lord, help us to wait upon you with patience and trust, as Isaiah 40:31 teaches us. Grant us the strength to endure and persevere, knowing that our hope is in you alone. May we find renewed strength and courage in your presence, soaring above life's challenges with the assurance of your provision and guidance. In Jesus' name, amen.

Ephesians 1:11-14. “Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own[b] by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.”
Colossians 1:11b-14. “May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.”
1 Peter 1:3-5. “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.”

“God’s Healing Grace” By In Touch Ministries:
“Because of Christ, our brokenness is being made whole, and we can look forward to a glorious future.”
“In his letter to the Ephesian church, Paul wrote that God brought “all things together in Christ” (Eph. 1:10). This means that because of Jesus, we are being healed in ways we could never have accomplished on our own. His death and resurrection:
• Freed us from sin. We are indwelt by God’s Spirit and have His power to resist temptation and obey.
• United us with our Savior. We live in Christ and He lives in us. He is with us always, wherever we go.
• Made us family. God is our heavenly Father, and we are His sons and daughters. Our spiritual family extends all over the world.
• Transferred us into the kingdom of light. The world is ruled by darkness, but anyone who calls Jesus “Savior” lives in the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:12-13). We are citizens of heaven.
• Gave us an eternal inheritance. We’ve already inherited the promises of Scripture, but more awaits us in heaven (1 Peter 1:4).
• Initiated sanctification. To sanctify means “to make holy.” With our cooperation, the Spirit transforms us into Jesus’ likeness throughout our years on earth.
When life wears you down, ponder all the ways God is actively healing you. He won’t give up on your redemption, even if you at times feel like giving up.” Amen! 🙌

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." - Matthew 11:28‭-‬29 (NIV) These words from Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew are always so comforting..... In the literal sense of the word, a yoke is a heavy wooden harness that fits over the shoulders of an ox or oxen. It is attached to a piece of equipment the oxen are to pull. Obviously these were used way back then but we as people, carry our own additional weight in the form of "burdens." Things like sin, or the excessive demands of religious leaders (later in Matthew 23:4, or in Acts 15:10 you can see these references) or oppression, persecution, even weariness in the search of God. Jesus frees us from all these burdens; these are all the things (and the list goes on) that He carried and were nailed to the cross. The rest that He promises is love, healing, and peace with God, not the end of all physical labor. However, having a relationship with God changes meaningless, wearisome work into spiritual productivity and purpose. So he gives us "rest" in the sense that we don't worry about wasting time in our lives doing things that aren't fulfilling or fruitful but instead through Christ we have purpose and plenty of things to do that ultimately bring Glory to His name! In turn giving "rest" to our souls because we know who He is and what He has done to save us and give us this purpose. Peace in knowing the work we do for the kingdom matters so much more than anything else gives our soul rest as well. Thankful for His mercy, grace, and sacrifice especially in this reminder today. Resting in this fullness. #ComeToMe #AllWhoAreWeary #AllWhoAreBurdened #FindRest #InHim #TakeTheYokeOfJesus #Gentle #Humble #InHeart #FindRestForYourSoul #Matthew #Chapter11 #Verse28 #Verse29 #DailyDevotional #Scripture #Grateful #Faithful #Prayer #BLESSED #StraightNoChaser #WordOfGod #KeepTheFaith #HopeInChrist #BuildTheKingdom #ShareTheGospel https://www.instagram.com/p/CiTH7YzPMlt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

What the Lord taught me during my season of unemployment
1. I was reliant on my employment status, salary, educational qualifications, social relationships for peace of mind and to be seen as valuable. This was keeping me in bondage to worry and fear of man which prevented me from glorifying God. If I was to be given a job in this state, I would be trying to impress people and give in to worldly standards of what is good e.g. white lies to get ahead...
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
2. Jesus is the Alpha & Omega (the beginning and the end of all that is) and it’s only by believing and trusting in Him and His Word (the Gospel) that we can live eternally.
Revelations 22:13 (AMP) I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One] Ephesians 6:13-18 (NIV) Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
3. The goal is to live a life so surrendered that His grace is simply sufficient. Instead of just staying in a place where I  limit the power of scripture to overcoming wars against lies of the enemy about self-worth in my mind. I can do this by living by faith and choosing to keep going.
Encouraging Bible verses: Romans 6:14 (AMP) For sin will no longer be a master over you, since you are not under Law [as slaves], but under [unmerited] grace [as recipients of God’s favor and mercy] Romans 8:28 (NIV) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
2 Timothy 2:2 (NLT) You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.
Luke 9:61-62 (NIV) Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.”
Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

Daily Scripture Text:
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28*
Commentary:
This verse from Romans 8 offers profound assurance that God is always at work for the benefit of those who love Him. It reminds us that even in the midst of trials and challenges, God's plan is to bring about good for His people. This does not mean that everything will be easy, but rather that God can redeem and bring purpose to every situation, ultimately working for our spiritual growth and His glory.
Questions:
1. How does this verse give you hope and confidence in God's providence?
2. Can you think of a time when you saw God working for good in a difficult situation?
3. How can you live out your calling according to God's purpose in your daily life?
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for the assurance that you work all things for the good of those who love you. Help us to trust in your plan, even when we cannot see the outcome. Grant us the wisdom to discern your purpose for our lives and the courage to follow where you lead. In Jesus' name, amen.
