Meditate the Word of God…
One thing I try to do daily lately is to remember a verse of the Bible and its reference. I want to encourage you to do so as well, because not only does it help to know God and His word better, it also guides us to live according to His will, helps us fight temptations and guard our thoughts and minds on Jesus Christ.
Without God’s word, we walk in darkness and are unable to know His will. Not being able to know God’s will, means being defenseless against the enemy and his traps.
It’s important to remind ourselves daily of the truth that the word of God is, because we live in a world where everything is distorted; we live in a world where black is white and white is black; where right is wrong, and wrong is right. We live in a world that doesn’t even believe in the existence of THE TRUTH. We need the truth of God’s word to be our light in this world of darkness, so that we won’t walk blinded by the world.
If we claim to be truly saved, it means we live the word of God; but to live the word of God, we have to keep it in our hearts and to keep it in our hearts we have to know it, meditate it, and study it like a lesson that we have to remember.
God bless you all and have a great day.

King Solomon in his book Ecclesiastes, dedicated himself to the study of wisdom and its opposite, foolishness: "Then I turned my thoughts to consider wisdom, and also madness and folly" Ecclesiastes 2:12. And so he understood that wisdom and foolishness are mentalities, that is, ways of perceiving the world and acting on it, those who seek wisdom do so because they seek to increase and perfect life, on the other hand, the foolish, consciously or not, worship death. And understanding these things he made a beautiful comparison, to explain the nature of these mentalities: "I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness" Ecclesiastes 2:13. King Solomon explained to us that wisdom surpasses foolishness, because foolishness is a lack, and this lack is the absence of the nature of good. The fool, if a comparison can be made, is like a tree or a truncated branch. This is how King Solomon explained this truth: "The wise have eyes in their heads, while the fool walks in the darkness" Ecclesiastes 2:14. But then King Solomon thought in a different way, people are wise or foolish in the end they all have the same destiny, and the physical death is inexorable for all; and this spiritual reflection is very important, because if there is something that a wise man should avoid, and it is the sin of vanity. Then the sage meditated on death and the usefulness of wisdom: "But I came to realize that the same fate overtakes them both. Then I said to myself, ´The fate of the fool will overtake me also. What then do I gain by being wise?´" Ecclesiastes 2:14-15. The problem with the study is that many times the people who study tend to feel superior to others, and this is an illusion, because happiness belongs to humble and simple people. A wise man has to understand first of all that although wisdom is beautiful and extremely useful, it also has a limit, no one is immortal. The wise man gains a lot by becoming wise, but he gains more if he becomes more humble, and this is what Solomon wanted to teach us.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” - Romans 15:13
Paul's prayer for the Christians in Rome found in this verse is often used in churches today as a closing benediction. It is a powerful statement about what God can do in the heart and mind of every Christian.
Paul makes this request of the God of hope, another beautiful name for God. He is the only lasting source of hope we have for meaning in this life, and for a life beyond death. Paul asks that the God of hope fill these believers with all joy and peace "in believing" or as they trust in Him. In other words, Paul is not asking God to simply dump joy and peace into their hearts without cause. He is asking that as these believers trust in God, their faith will bring joy and peace to their hearts. In other words, help them to keep believing so that they can experience joy and peace.
Finally, Paul asks that they might have this joy and peace in believing so that they may abound with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul is asking God to give them more than just regular human hopefulness. He is asking for supernatural, Holy Spirit-powered hopefulness.
What a fantastic prayer to ask God for others or for ourselves. What more could we wish for other believers than to be filled with joy and peace and abounding in hope?

Prayer for October 31st
Heavenly Father, we pray that you would bring peace to our hearts today. Peace that only comes from knowing Jesus Christ. He is truly our Prince of Peace. We ask that we could reflect that peace into our families, our workplaces, and our communities. Help us to cast victory over chaos and division and instead let us all be seen as peacemakers. Let this motivation come not from any selfish reason, but to point everyone back to you. We want to show the world that through Christ we can have abundantly more than we could ever ask for. We pray this in the strong and mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Click for quality :) I've recently been made the CU rep for my university college! The training has been intense, but I've loved being able to dig into the Bible with others (even if over zoom).

It is so encouraging, strengthening and challenging to know that we can do anything through HIM who strengthens us. We can go through the hardest times and never lose hope because our savior is with us. Isn't that amazing ?

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” - Jeremiah 29:13
The preceding verse of our verse today is a very popular verse. This is usually used or wished every time someone who is close to us celebrates their birthday. However, people usually just look at that verse and ignore everything else. Meaning, people only read the promise, and do not read what is after. We have to understand that indeed God has given us a lot of promise and blessings. However, we always claim that we cannot find God, yet we have to understand that He is always there. He never walked away from us, He stayed faithful and He stayed protecting us.
Now, let us understand that the fault is not with God, but it is with us. We cannot find Him because we are not seeking Him, we are not seeking Him with all our hearts. It might be so easy to receive a blessing especially if God promised to prosper us, however, we expect it to be magically given to us. We expect that it will just fall down from the sky. So, that is the wrong part. God is not our personal genie, He is our God and yes, He is a promise keeper. However, we must understand that we should seek Him. How can we find Him tho? We have to know that our verse has given us this answer. If we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him.
Seeking God is not just through learning stuff about Him from our grandparents or parents, seeking God means having a close relationship with Him. It’s establishing that deep relationship with Him through the Word. We will never find God in the quotes we post, or in one or two verses we read online. The only way we will find God is through His Word, and if we seek Him through it with all our hearts. Therefore, we should remember that God did not leave us or walked away from us. If we cannot find Him, then maybe we are not seeking Him. Let us therefore search for Him with all our hearts, and build a personal relationship with Him through reading His Word day and night.

Reading for November 19th                 1 Kings 19 Elijah’s Reward Elijah gets a reward for showing up the prophets of Baal, Queen Jezebel threatens to kill him just as he killed the false prophets so he runs to the hills. How often do we do that even when God has used us for a great and might purpose?! But God is faithful. He provides food and drink to Elijah while he is on the run and ready to give up. Moreover, God appears to Elijah and sends mighty signs to reassure Elijah. Elijah is told to go stand on the mountain to see God passing by. Seems like a wonderful request-watch a parade of weather phenomena but you get to see God. I’ll take that! I am always looking for God. Sometimes in the wrong places but always looking.
AND God gives Elijah another assignment. Go back the way you came and appoint Hazael and Jehu as kings and Elisha as your replacement.  When you have proven yourself faithful to God’s commands (albeit reluctantly at times) you get to do more for God. The old adage, if you want something done, give it to a busy person. I suggest God gave the tasks to Elijah because he was faithful and obedient. I want to be faithful and obedient.
