Daily Scripture Text: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39 (King James Version)
Commentary: Romans 8:38-39 beautifully encapsulates the profound truth of God's unfailing love for His children. This passage reassures us that nothing—no circumstance, no force, no power—can ever separate us from the love of God that we have in Christ Jesus. It emphasizes the infinite breadth and depth of God's love, which transcends all boundaries and endures for eternity. In times of uncertainty or doubt, this verse serves as a steadfast anchor, reminding us of the unbreakable bond we share with our Heavenly Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Questions:
How does the assurance of God's unending love impact your daily life and faith journey?
In what ways can you remind yourself of this truth during challenging times?
How does knowing that nothing can separate you from God's love inspire you to live boldly for Him?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the incredible gift of your boundless love, as expressed in Romans 8:38-39. Help us to fully grasp the depth and breadth of this love, which surpasses all understanding. Strengthen our faith and confidence in your unwavering love, knowing that nothing in all creation can separate us from it. May we live each day with assurance, joy, and gratitude, grounded in the truth of your enduring love. In Jesus' name, amen.

17-Aug-22
4:30pm. Just heard my belly groaning with hunger. Hope God is listening and hears it because He’s certainly not hearing nor listening to me.
"but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered" Romans 8:26 (KJV)
5:34pm I was thinking I could survive til Friday when Yvette comes to clean because Pat always cooks on that day and it’s most likely that, as usual, I’d get some food, if even 2 pieces of chicken and some rice. However Pat just informed me Yvette won’t be coming as she is unable to pay her. Am I to say #thanxB2God? I don’t think so.
6:08pm Feeling a little better now. Monday I had asked Deebo (the shopkeeper) to “trust” me a bread, 3 tins of vienna sausages and a soda and I’d pay him next week when I get paid. He gave me a quarter-loaf as he didn’t have a full loaf and said I should come back Tuesday, but Tuesday he wasn’t there. Today I glimpsed him but he was busy setting up for some celebration they are having there eventually disappearing in the house to never reappear. I had got depressed and said I wouldn’t return today, maybe tomorrow, but after the belly-grumbling and the unsure prospect of food this weekend, I went back and was able to get it. Just had 3 slices and the last of the saltfish fritters that Pat had informed me this morning was really mine (I saw the container from earlier in the week or weekend but didn’t know it was for me). I’m feeling kinda full but that may be partially due to gas. But at least I have something to say #thanksB2God for. #thanxB2God for the fritters and for being able to get the loaf of bread. I can’t say #thanksbetogod for the $30,000 robbed from my account which CW&J C.U. told ne would take 3 weeks to resolve and now going 3 months. I stopped praying to God about that because it seems the prayers are in vain. Plus the missing strip of my hbp tablets. But the CW&J saga I’ll get into more later, or another time.
6:24pm Up at Deebo’s I can hear them playing a song saying, “Send me an angel, I need an angel now” (I think that’s what the song says). Very befitting, because I could do with a proper angel now.

Nothing can separate us from the love that God has for us!!!!! He loves us so much that He even sacrificed His own Son Jesus to die for our sins so we (sinful beings) would still have the chance to be saved forever!!!!!

Daily Scripture Text:
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28*
Commentary:
This verse from Romans 8 offers profound assurance that God is always at work for the benefit of those who love Him. It reminds us that even in the midst of trials and challenges, God's plan is to bring about good for His people. This does not mean that everything will be easy, but rather that God can redeem and bring purpose to every situation, ultimately working for our spiritual growth and His glory.
Questions:
1. How does this verse give you hope and confidence in God's providence?
2. Can you think of a time when you saw God working for good in a difficult situation?
3. How can you live out your calling according to God's purpose in your daily life?
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for the assurance that you work all things for the good of those who love you. Help us to trust in your plan, even when we cannot see the outcome. Grant us the wisdom to discern your purpose for our lives and the courage to follow where you lead. In Jesus' name, amen.
