a rebrand is usually fun, always gritty, and very thought-intensive — even moreso, for yourself. this rebrand for my own brand storytelling company, Come Alive Co, represented two important milestones in my life:

inviting my community in to co-create (’cuz how easy is it to let ego win?), and

grounding down into the vibrancy of my (fuller) identity: not just as a female founder or branding pro, but as a filipina

Imagine Riddle, Vil, Malleus, as your fellow avid reader boyfriend!

Warnings:

GN!Reader, slight crack, very self indulgent.

Based on my own experience as an avid book lover, so yeah I kinda got carried away with writing this.

Imagine your boyfriend reading to you under a canopy of blooming trees. Your head resting on his shoulder and the spring breeze caressing your face. You feel at peace listening to his voice and your heart feels at home.

Imagine him gifting you an annotated book, a limited edition copy of your all time favorite novel, with little love notes and pressed scented flowers tucked in between the annotated pages.

Spending a peaceful day in his room on a weekend, reading in silence while huddled comfortably next to each other.

Keeping a shared journal where you both write fun reviews, expressing your feelings about the characters you like/dislike, and occasionally jotting down your thoughts about confusing plot holes. 

Randomly quoting cheesy lines, then laughing your heads off afterwards.

Teasing each other about your book crushes once in a while.

Taking you to library dates, and visiting bookshops for fun and checking out new releases.

Feeling happy whenever you spend time together talking about your recent reads because it’s more than a hobby. It’s a safe haven and an escape to countless places of mystery and wonder.

This is originally a long post, so I might write a second part with different characters maybe?
