God! Nico where it's your usual "everyone prays to Nico because they think he's a God" shtick but since he's dating Will, a lot of people think that "huh, will must be a God like Nico!"

Meanwhile Nico, who's trying his best to be the next Percy because of course when Percy went to College he left Nico with the stupid horn but didn't tell him "it's symbolic, like passing of the torch! Your head camper now!", and Nico has no idea. He's just happy he gets to sit with SOMEONE instead of at the Hades table all alone. Sure it's Mr.D and Chiron but it's better than being alone.

But it's funny because since Nico's doing a whole lot of stuff (even after he turns 18 and just decided to help around because let's be real. Kids should not be in charge of their other kid siblings and Nico and Will do not want anymore deaths or mishaps in camp) like he's gotta help Will with the infirmary paper work every once in a while and for some reason Nico has to do all the camp paper work every Tuesday? But ok sure, eventually someone finally told him that he's the only "main three" around and is a war vet. So yeah, he's got a lot of experience and the younger campers love him.

But they have no clue that Nico and Will are not two humble gods just watching over their mortal family members. So they pray to them. A lot. And you know the drill, eventual God hood strikes.

"After Hades' sudden retirement, the god steps down to have his sole heir inherit the Greek Underworld’s throne. Now, Niccoló di Angelo has to don his father's crown and take the dark mantle upon himself. He has become a god and a king of the underworld. The new lord believes he won't be capable of handling everything the realm needs -and with Hades’ seeming disappearance- Persephone (stepmother) and Thanatos (king's hand and arranged consort) will be there to guide him along the steps of chthonic royalty and responsibility. Royal coronation, arranged marriage, chthonic affairs, and meetings with underworld gods from other pantheons await the young lord. However, some chthonic deities have their vengeful eyes looming over the lost little angel."

Something I think about a lot is how Rick Riordan very rarely uses "girlfriend/boyfriend" to refer to Percy and Annabeth within their perspectives. They're so intertwined, even Annabeth says in hoh that the word boyfriend isn't strong enough, because Percy was a part of her. They are a singular soul, too wrapped around each others' fates that regular labels are far too weak for them. But, Rick Riordan uses "boyfriend" a lot in Nico and Wills perspectives, not because they love each other less than percabeth, but to show how much the word means to them. Nico uses it any chance he gets- "his boyfriend," "he actually had a boyfriend," because Nico has never been able to say that before. Their struggle with their queer identities mixed with Nico's catholic guilt and chronic everyone-hates-me disease makes the fact that he has someone to call his actual boyfriend so much more important to his character development.

Nika The heartbeat that carries your dreams beside it’s own humanity creates a hopeful beat. A drumming sensation that allows these two ideals to dance together, discordant like a ball of lightening, snapping and sparking in place. These conduits create the building desire of liberation, opening the heart’s windows to the sun above.
