Waffie & Yogie, 5523 E Stearns St, Long Beach, CA 90815
Fro-yo girl here. Waffie & Yogie took over the old Golden Cups (formerly Golden Spoon) spot in Long Beach, California. They serve boba milk tea drinks, coffee, slushes, smoothies, waffles, and froyo. I could see that they kept the Golden Spoon soft serve machines.
The self-serve froyo and toppings are 55 cents an ounce. They had four froyo flavors during my visit. One of the froyo machines was out of order. The toppings bar is smaller than average but they had fresh fruit, mochi, jellies, coconut, sprinkles, nuts, syrups, cookies, candy, cereal, etc. Toppings were neatly labeled. They’ll give you a free plain waffle with any purchase. The waffle is a thin and freshly made.
Froyo flavors of the day:
Chocolate
Vanilla: smooth, a little icy, average flavor
Strawberry
Peanut butter: smooth, a little icy, stronger pb flavor
The freshly made, warm, plain waffle was soft with crispy edges and lightly sweet. I liked it better than the froyo.
The froyo options and toppings were limited but the shop was cute and cheerful. Service was friendly. They also have a rewards program. Parking was easy to find. It’s in an older strip mall. They had some interesting drinks, like egg coffee.

Phil discovers the (very long) Egg sign train made by Pomme, Dapper, Sunny, Chunsik, and Ramon! It took him ~7 minutes to read through every single sign in real time, but I compiled everything down into ~2 minutes because this was a funny moment more people should see.
So, I’m gonna start saving up to eventually get out of my current living situation.
If anyone has information regarding housing / roommates and the job market anywhere in Canada, can y’all hit me up? I’ve been looking for work for four years now on my own and I think I finally need to reach out for some extra help.
My Commissions and Ko-Fi are also open if anyone wants to help out there at all too.
I really hate to have to ask for the help but at this point anything and everything is appreciated.
AK Fresh Roast, 264 S Mission Dr, Unit A, San Gabriel, CA 91776
AK Fresh Roast is located inside Blossom Market Hall. Not your typical coffee place, AK Fresh Roast specializes in Vietnamese coffee, using strong and dark coffee beans. The coffee is prepared fresh to order using an espresso machine. Choose from espresso drinks, matcha lattes, pandan coffee, egg coffee, ube coffee, etc. For snacks, they have made-to-order croiffles and cookies.
Egg coffee (iced, $6.50, 16 oz): Egg coffee is Vietnamese coffee made with egg yolk cream. The egg yolk cream is made with condensed milk. The coffee is strong but not as harsh or bitter as some Vietnamese coffee. It was also not as sweet. The egg yolk cream made it creamier. While the half filled with ice cubes, I’m used to more ice when I order Vietnamese coffee. I liked it, even though I was initially skeptical about the egg yolk cream. The drink was expensive but high quality.
The hall has seating throughout and lots of free parking.
