What kind of relationships do grandkids have with their new families in second lives?

A bit of a mixed bag.

Isabela has a positive relationship with her new family. She was the one who decided she wanted to track down the Madrigals, but didn’t stupidly start saying that - it would probably make her sound insane. So she tried her best to appear normal and just shelved the idea of finding her family until she was old enough to travel, had the money, etc. Her parents were Rubén and Yolanda Parilla. She was the youngest of two children, having an older sibling called Feliz (they/them).

Dolores has a more strained relationship with her new family. She found them to be quite overly affectionate compared to the last. She was an only child, which she loved and hated at the same time. Her two mothers, Carolina and Mónica Aguilar, truly treasured their only child.

Luisa also has a really good relationship with her new family nowadays. She was an only child to a single dad, Tadeo Herrera. She was a bit hesitant to build a close relationship with him - feeling it would replace the one she had with Agustín. But, over time, slowly started allowing it to happen. The beginning, after Luisa got her memories, was a huge struggle, they are doing much better now.

Camilo has a very bad experience with his new family. His mother, Elena Banderas, is very homophobic and his father, Dante, left prior Camilo getting back his memories. He had two much older half-siblings, Marisol and Xavier, who left the family before his birth. He also has a younger brother, Tito, whom he cares for deeply because of the reminder of Antonio.

Mirabel isn’t going too great either. She was the eldest of three and fully expected to parent/raise her younger brothers, Domingo and Emmanuel. Her mother, Daniela Sarto, is fairly absent parent and her father, Leandro Aceves, didn’t know anything about children. This later resulted in the middle child, Domingo, dying as a toddler. He has been her mother’s favourite and this caused a huge rift in the family, making everything a lot worse.

o que mais a irritou pela manhã fora simplesmente o barulho do seu despertador tocando. como se não bastasse ter ficado até tarde na exposição de arte, theodosia também decidiu que seria uma boa chegar em casa passado do seu horário de costume. perdeu-se nas horas sequentes e assim, acabou por dormir quase todo o domingo. seu corpo pedia descanso, água e muito carboidrato pra suprir a catabolização sofrida. se arrastou para fora da cama e demorou mais que o normal para conseguir sair do dormitório. vestia o maldito uniforme acompanhada de um par de óculos escuros na tentativa de esconder a sua ressaca moral. foi até o quarto do melhor amigo, adndo batidas na porta e chamandopelo nome dele. — xavi! xavier! — sequer esperou que ele ou seu colega de quarto respondesse e foi abrindo a porta. — espero que al menos estés vestido decentemente. no quiero ver nada... ni tuyo, ni de nadie más. — disse em alto e bom tom, para qualquer pessoa a ouvisse. jogou-se no sofá e esperou que a figura do melhor amigo surgisse, de qualquer buraco que ele havia se enfiado.

Cícera Fonseca da Silva, conhecida como Ciça, mais velha de 11 irmãos, nasceu em 1935, no sítio do Brejo Seco, Juazeiro do Norte. Trabalhava na roça com os pais e se dedicou exclusivamente ao barro somente depois de casada. “Mas tive uma herança ensinada por um tio meu, João Cândido Lira. Eu ajudava ele e ele me ensinava. Nos domingos, a gente pintava as louças e lá pela uma ou duas horas da manhã, ele ajeitava as peças num balaio e a gente caminhava até as feiras para vender. Na escuridão, muitas vezes a gente tropeçava e o balaio caía. Quebrava tudo.” Mas a vida dura, seca em todos os sentidos, fez Ciça riscar de seu dicionário a palavra desistência. “A vida é comprida, viu? Eu casei e continuei trabalhando. O marido ficava meio aperreado porque não via resultado. Eu pedia paciência. Ele foi procurar outros trabalhos e eu fiquei enfrentando o barro. Um dia pedi ao velho sr. Francisco para me levar para a feira no Crato (CE). Ele aceitou e fomos. Vendi. Quando meu marido voltou, aceitou. Um dia, chegou à feira um casal importante, Francisco Xavier e Isabel Pedrosa, e comprou minhas coisinhas.
