A few days ago, I was singing "Welcome to the internet" by Bo Burnham while in the bath, and a I got to the part where does the maniacal laugh, I spent a few minutes practicing it because honestly it needed some work. Meanwhile, my sister was downstairs, hearing me practice my "perfect maniacal laugh" as my mom got home from work. My sister said "Gavin's been doing this maniacal laugh" my mom replied "really?" My sister was like "yeah it's really weird." While they were talking: I finished the song and started to sing disney villain songs while washing my hair. They could hear me since I was singing like I was on stage, putting on a show for the shampoo bottles. As I was singingy sister turned to my mom and said: "He's becoming a disney villain" and while I'm flattered to be compared to the ultimate definition of "Be Gay Do Crime" I am not on that level yet, but soon enough I will, and all my plans shall be put into action.
Once upon a time, on a cozy slumber party night, Bridgette, Courtney, Leshawna, and Gwen gathered in one room. They decided to take turns singing their favorite Disney Villains songs.
Bridgette started, and she chose to sing "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid. She belted out the wicked lyrics with an eerie smile on her face, perfectly capturing the essence of the evil sea witch, Ursula.
Next up was Courtney, who opted to sing "Be Prepared" from The Lion King. She had an intimidating presence as she roared the lyrics, just like Scar himself. Her voice echoed through the room, sending shivers down her friends' spines.
Leshawna was up next, and she chose to sing "Mother Knows Best" from Tangled. With her commanding voice and confidence, she embodied the manipulative Mother Gothel. She even added some theatrical flair, utilizing hand gestures to emphasize the lyrics.
Last but not least, Gwen took her turn, and she chose to sing "Hellfire" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She sang with passion and intensity, capturing the inner turmoil of the villainous Judge Claude Frollo. Her friends were in awe of her stunning performance.
As the night went on, they took turns singing more Disney Villains songs, relishing in the darkness and mischief that came with each tune. They danced and laughed the night away, feeling empowered by the music.
In the end, the girls fell asleep with smiles on their faces, feeling like they had conquered the world with just their voices and a few villainous songs.
Put it in the tags if you like, or comments or asks ^^ I'm curious what the ULTIMATE Disney Villain banger is. Can be absolutely anything, from Hits like Poor Unfortunate Souls, Hellfire and Friends of the Other Side to Reprises like Prince Ali and Sequel movie songs like Zira's Lullaby.
Disney's Villain Songs are one of the keys of a Disney movie, but we don't always get legit Villain Songs in Disney TV shows.
I did find a good example in "Milo Murphy's Law"! The episode "World Without Milo" has Elliot Decker's song (same as the episode title). The tune is quintessential Villain Song. I mean the entire thing is about how great it would supposedly be if Milo didn't exist (which leads to Elliot experiencing that world and realizing he was wrong and all that jazz).
I have mixed feelings about Elliot's potential for redemption considering the number of instances where he's been a bit of a prat. Certainly not effective as a legit villain, but kind of amusing to see him fight against Murphy's Law and lose.
What do you guys think? Any other Disney Channel Villain Songs you know of?
Hellfire is the only Disney villain song where the antagonist is not having a good time....
I'm trying to think of the reasons why Hellfire is one, if not, the best Disney villain song and how it's different from the others, and this is what I noticed...
Their songs is where we see the motives, goals and overall character of the villains and how they'll drive the plot of the movie.
However I don't think I've ever seen another Disney villain who's having a horrible time.
Frollo is the only one I've seen who's in pain in a sense.
He's not singing because its his number, no, he's singing because he's struggling with his inhibitions.
I mean, look at the other guys...
They're having a gay ol' time
.
Another thing I've noticed to other villain songs is that they have an audience.
I think they need to because it's usually the time where they hatch their evil plans and the audience is generally the main protagonist.
Meanwhile Frollo doesn't want anyone to know his little "trouble" with the fireplace.
He doesn't want witnesses... no one has to know, no one needs to, and he made sure of that.
Even having to burn Esmeralda's scarf so nobody can find it. He was determined to keep his motives hidden.
He's alone, restless, and vulnerable, as shown with him not wearing his usual vestments (hat and the shoulder pad thing).
The only people who knows Hellfire exists is him and us, the viewers.
Decides to make this also because I've been seeing people who've watched the new movie Wish and a lot are comparing the villain songs to the old ones.
Let's try this again... I didn't include a few of the more iconic songs in the last poll. Yes, it's all on me, I forgot some of the songs from the movies I didn't watch that much growing up. I have since done my research and am back to try this again.
