What? Sorry I can’t hear you, I’m too busy being glad that Dean lived, Cas came back, and Jack gets to live with his dads while Dean works on trying to repair their relationship and be better than his own father

"Dean didn't love Cas," "It was platonic," fuck off, when Cas died, he handled his loss the exact same way John did when he lost Mary. It's not even subtext, it's in the dialogue. Sam points it out, loud and clear. That's literally what the narrative was conveying.
"He's not just grieving about Cas, he lost Mary too." Yeah, but even when he's hellbent on blaming all of their loss on Jack, even he could see that Mary made her choice.
But to him, Cas didn't. To Dean, Cas was manipulated—deceived by some idea of "paradise," and it's easier to swallow that than to consider that Cas up and left them to protect Lucifer's child.
And you wanna know the cherry on top of all this??? Castiel's paradise consisted of them, together. Happy. Alive. Together. Castiel may have run away with Kelly to fulfill her wish for Jack, (to let him keep his powers where the Winchesters wanted to turn him human), but he only did so for that promise. In the end, he ran away so he could give them this.

*lays down in a grassy field next to you* I just think if Jack had been around during the Regarding Dean episode he would have been very patient and understanding with memory loss!Dean, y’know?
Like everyone else kept getting frustrated with him but I think Jack would have been the complete opposite, he would have been more than happy to answer Dean’s repeated questions over and over again, and would have just been eager to help take care of Dean for once, as opposed to the other way around.

I don’t think it’s fair when people say Dean didn’t love Jack because that’s obviously not true at all.
Like, yeah he fucked up bad and often, but you gotta kinda think about how Jack was the bio son of the man who killed Cas, and insult to injury, Jack looks jarringly similar to Cas. So Dean being less then we’ll adjusted makes sense, and that absolutely doesn’t make what he did okay, not even close, but his later actions prove he’s making an active effort to make things better with Jack.
Deans love language is quality time and acts of service. What does he do with Jack? Takes him fishing, watches movies with him, let’s him drive his car. And what else does he do? Make Jack a birthday cake that’s he’s so happy to share with him and he makes him burgers to celebrate him being back.
Dean’s shit at using his words, I think he’d physically explode if he had to open up to someone about how he treated them/feels about them
