entrapta crushing on a popular reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: entrapta x gn!reader
tags: angst, awkward entrapta, mentions of other princesses
Tumblr media
despite never truly fitting in with the other princesses, entrapta never truly felt like an outcast. that was until she met you
for the first time, entrapta began to realize that there were worlds apart between you and her, as well as the other princesses
entrapta was never good at holding a conversation, always just doing all the talking about her robots and intentions
but you were the opposite! you listened to people and asked them questions about themselves, getting them to open up more. something that entrapta never did before…
even when she was talking to you, you were listening and asking questions, which was the first time anyone seemed to really pay attention to what she was saying
yet entrapta couldn't quite do the same for you. when the topic shifted and it was time to ask you about your interests, she struggled to find the right words
meanwhile, the other princesses always seemed to know what to say to you and what to do to make you laugh!
entrapta never felt like an outcast, until she saw you with the other princesses. and she never felt jealous before, until she realized that she wished to be more like them, if it meant she could make you laugh as well…

I think we can all agree that Entrapta is not remotely reasonable, so any story where she is somehow the reasonable one is incredibly funny because that usually means every other character has gone into Total Disaster Mode

UNPOPULAR OPINION TIME:
IF U HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST MY OPINIONS, PLEASE LEAVE OR CONTINUE TO SCROLL calmly :)
Entrapta and Hordak are better platonic
I feel like, they just wouldn't work as a REAL couple but would make great friends. Like if they were to get married for platonic friend reasons thats a ok and honestly beter than them neing a real couple.
Entrapta gives off serious aero/ace vibes, and I don't think she would get into a relationship. If she were to ger with someone it would be WRONG Hordak, theyvjust make alot more sense to me you know?

Sometimes I often think about Nagi Usui and how she’s one of the best characters to have come out in the past few years.
-One of her main motivations to get back into the real world is so she can play more of her mobile gacha game.
-She gains an instant crush on someone just because he resembles one of the main characters from said mobile gacha game.
-She’s the only one of her team to actually like the Grilled Alligator meal from SBY BBQ.
-The kanji on her shirt changes for every situation she finds herself in whether it’s for fights or eating.
-Some of her other kanji shirts reference The Art of War, kendo, Buddhist proverbs, JRPG terminology, and chuuni terms, among other things.
-One of sayings on her shirt translates to "Now I'm motivated" when in battle which means that yes, Nagi is a DMC Vergil fan.
-In the Field Walk RPG, Rindo wonders about how the letters of her shirt keep changing and Nagi tells him that she changes her shirts in between fights and food. He then wonders about how he never notices and Nagi tells him that she’s mastered the art of changing them in a millisecond before saying that she’s just joking.
-Is the only one out of the team with a dedicated maid outfit.
-Brags about being a one time Quiz Academy Queen Quizster after going head-to-head with a DRS member over the title and winning over him in the manga category.
-Accidentally intimidates other EleStra fans from approaching her through sheer aura.
-Her English VA based her performance off of Peridot from Steven Universe and Entrapta from She-Ra.
-Said VA also confirmed that Nagi would most definitely be a Sonic fan, with her being a fan of Shadow the Hedgehog in particular.
-Surprisingly, she has the most connections on the Social Network outside of Rindo due to her natural ability to understand people
-Gets into a pissing contest in Another Day with a ojou-sama, metalhead fan over who’s the bigger Takeharu Ishimoto fan
-Owns and is raising at least 10 snakes in Another Day
-Only knows how to cook sunny-side up fried eggs from the box, with the yolks described as 'frozen' and the eggs described as unpleasantly chewy.
-Is insanely competitive at fighting games
-She considers video game arcades to be the perfect date location.
-All of her "gurgly sounds" combined make for more than two minutes straight of audio.
-In Japanese, her personal pronoun is a neetspeak version of a pronoun usually used by sagely old male characters.
-In general, she uses a lot of netslang, including the Japanese equivalent of "kek" basically.
-She's too anxious to use a phone and to work a job that requires her to interact with people regularly such as retail.
-She’s the most bloodthirsty of the Wicked Twisters when it comes to fighting Noise and even lets out an evil laugh when unleashing a Grenade Launcher pin
-She really likes jigsaw puzzles and finds them calming; more specifically, the "1000-piece" type of jigsaw puzzles.
-Even with her eccentricities, she’s one of the most emotionally intelligent and empathetic characters in the series, and is never once treated as off-putting for her interests and actually uses the life lessons she took from EleStra to help out others in need.
-Is more than capable of killing a man with her psychic mind powers.

Profiles in Villainy
Hordak
There have been multiple versions of the malevolent menace known as Hordak.  In the original continuity established in She Ra: Princess of Power (and by extension He-Man and The Masters of Universe), Hordak is an extremely powerful tyrant of mysterious origins who will stop at nothing until he conquers all of both Etheria and the neighboring dimension of Eternia.  Heralding from the shadowy ‘Horde World,’ Hordak’s powers were derived from a strange combination of sorcery and science.
Tumblr media
Hordak was originally headquartered in Snake Mountain where he had taken on the villainous Skeletor as an apprentice.  When the forces of King Randor were closing in on Hordak, he fled to Ethernia, leaving Skeletor in charge of Snake Mountain (and thus leading to the longstanding conflict between Skeletor and Randor’s son, He-Man).  Reestablishing himself on Etheria, Hordak took over the Fright Zone; and from here he and his Evil Horde began its war against She-Ra The Princes of Power.
In the 2018 reboot of the narrative, Hordak was shown to be a semi-defective clone of the entity known as Hordak Prime.  This Hordak Prime sent versions of himself to countless worlds to conquer in his stead, all part of an effort to claim absolute dominion over the entirety of the cosmos.
Hordak’s ‘deficiency’ was his unexpected capacity for independent thought.  This led to feelings of ambivalence that would manifest in malfunctions in his powers and the mechanical aspects of his physical form.
Although a cruel master who sent the forces of his Evil Horde to conquer Etheria and crush the Princess Rebellion, Hordak also struggled with doubt and was confused by his falling in love with his lieutenant, Entrapta.  His other lieutenant, Catra, surmised these weaknesses in Hordak and used them to her advantage, ultimately unseating Hordak as the new master of the Evil Horde.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This ultimately facilitated the mighty Hordak Prime coming to Etheria.  The villain was defeated by She-Ra and her various allies.  In the wake of this, Hordak was free from his former master and he and Entrapta were reunited to forge a life together.
Actor George DiCenzo provided the voice for Hordak in his original appearances in the 1985 series, She-Ra: Princes of Power; the great Kevin Conroy voiced the villain in the 2002 series Masters of the Universe vs. The Snake Men; and actor Keston John voiced Hordak in the 2018 series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Hordak: You are all acting like children about this, stop being dramatic and get out!
*the entire Alliance huddled in a corner crying*
Entrapta: You know, it's kinda funny. You spent YEARS trying to crush the rebellion with robots and an army. When all you had to do was forget they were coming over and not lock our bedroom door.

OKAY so APPARENTLY it’s impossible to do a screenshot/ screen record anything on Netflix, so I need the help of the Entrapdak fandom.
I’m currently working a slide show about my fictional crushes, and I’m adding Hordak because of course I will.
I really want this specific frame of Hordak at 13:18 seconds of “Heart Pt 2” where he longingly looking at Entrapta after calling her a “friend” while dangling Prime off a ledge (aka one of his most iconic moments).
He looked so beautiful, pretty, and handsome in that frame, and I need it to properly convey how gorgeous this man is.
I’ve looked on Google, Tumblr, Pinterest, even Wikipedia, but I can’t find it anywhere!
That’s why I must humbly ask if anyone has that specific image and if they can post it or send it to me.
(Also if you have any other screen shots or quotes you think I need to have, you have my permission to share)
(Also, also I’ll find a way to show you all the slideshow)
Thank you for your time; I love you all.

you know. the term “gaslighting” is being misused so much that it's difficult to figure out if a person is referring to actual gaslighting, or if they're talking about any kind of manipulation or even just a white lie. with the rise of awareness for mental health, the unfortunate downside is that people label everything with psychological terms and spread misinformation. the term “gaslighting” has lost its original meaning and has turned into a sort of buzzword.
it's obvious that this happens in media analyses too, where people are quick to label any kind of undesirable behaviour as “gaslighting”. however, the only exception to this that i've seen so far is catra.
to refresh your memory (or lend you some new information), here's the definition of gaslighting, according to the APA:
To gaslight someone means to manipulate another person into doubting their own perceptions, experiences or understanding of events.
“I think of gaslighting as trying to associate someone with the label 'crazy',” says Paige Sweet, Ph.D., an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Michigan who studies gaslighting in relationships and in the workplace. “It’s making someone seem or feel unstable, irrational and not credible, making them feel like what they’re seeing or experiencing isn’t real, that they’re making it up, that no one else will believe them.”
when we say catra gaslit adora in the show, we mean it. we don't mean that catra just lied to adora or manipulated her (both of which she has done, to her credit).
some common phrases that gaslighters use are along the lines of:
“you're crazy”
“you're just imagining it”
“it's all in your head”
“you're just being dramatic”
“you're making things up”
this ensures that the victim believes that they are the problem and starts questioning their own sanity. if it continues for too long, the victim might actually be driven to a mentally unstable state.
let's see some of these examples with catra, shall we?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she says all of this word for word. they don't even try to disguise it. and we already know that catra remembered everything or almost everything, at this point. she was not only playing dumb when adora questioned her about it, but further went on to make adora believe that she was going crazy and that she was making everything up.
she also attempts to gaslight scorpia later on, and make her admit that entrapta betrayed them when that is not what happened, and scorpia was there to witness what actually happened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(i am a bit hesitant to call this “gaslighting” because catra doesn't call scorpia crazy or anything like that, however, she does imply that scorpia was making things up about entrapta trying to save them from the portal.)
and people still have the gall to say that catra never gaslit adora or worse„ that she only did it because she wanted adora to stay. there's no excuse to abuse, manipulation and gaslighting. you can't just woobify an abuser by saying “oh but she just wanted her crush to stay with her 🥺” that's just gross. catra fans say that they empathize with abuse victims but their empathy starts and ends with catra. adora's trauma doesn't matter to them in the slightest, which is why they keep romanticizing this shit.

Another from the scraps pile:
Within the show, Hordak is blissfully unaware of how much he yells at Entrapta, or how obviously soul-crushing she finds it.
Like, okay, to unwind this a bit: Hordak is generally unaware of how badly his tantrums impact those around him. From his perspective, he just gets hurt/frustrated/frightened, and the sense of control he gets from yelling/throwing things/suffocating a catgirl makes him feel better. Then the instigating feeling goes away, and he stops thinking about it. The idea that his actions have lasting repercussions - that the people he lashes out at are going to fear and avoid him because he keeps hurting them - rarely, if ever, enters his head.
Entrapta keeps coming back, not because there's a magic threshold where Hordak is only ever a soft uwu cuddlebear to her, but because she's used to getting yelled at, and not really understanding why.

Just saw a Glitra modern AU fic that features Bowtrapta, and it's written by a cool person so I know it's funny, but I think Bowtrapta is at its funniest when it's a hurdle in the leadup to Glimbow.
Like. Bow is a disaster and he's like "hmm I should try dating" but he hasn't realised he's in love with Glimmer or hasn't got the courage to ask her out yet so he just. asks his awesome scientific colleague out on a date because that's what you're supposed to do, or she asks him out because she wants to see if they have any chemistry.
and then they hav e the most awkward date in history, zero romantic chemistry at all despite some attempts at normal date stuff, before entrapta goes "this isn't working, do you want to hang out at my place and build stuff instead" and bow goes "thank GOD" and then they have way more fun and she casually interrogates him on his crush on glimmer that he may or may not know about.

Back on my SheRa analysis, rest is in the first tag if you’re interested. Took a lil break because of school but I’m determined to finish it while I’m on break (but who knows if I actually will). We left out on White Out.
This show really puts a lot of emphasis on the idea of trying to fill someone else’s shoes. The show starts out and Adora is gone so Catra is filling her shoes as the new Force Captain. Adora is trying to fill the shoes of She-Ra while simultaneously not knowing anything about She-Ra. Glimmer is trying to fill her mother’s role as leader of the princess alliance. Bow and Scorpia really takes on a supportive role throughout the first season as they don’t have a role outside of that at first.
As it continues we see more evidence of this, Mermista is filling the role her father left her, Frosta being the queen her people needs despite being a CHILD. Perfuma seems more comfortable in her role but I’m sure she wasn’t always comfortable there.
However, we start to see roles shifting and the weight of becoming something, or someone, more becomes the spotlight of the message. As Shadow Weaver leaves, Catra moves into her shoes. As Adora learns about Mara and her role as She-Ra she moves into her role as well. Now takes over for Entrapta even with a lot less knowledge and experience and the weight begins to crush him.
I think the one that really gets me is that Scorpia takes over for Adora as Catra’s protector, even going as far as saying to Adora “I should be out there protecting her” and keeping Virus-Adora from killing Catra, despite her not needing it, or more so, not wanting it anymore. But, because she reminds Catra of Adora, she can never truly push her all the way away but never truly pull her in the way she wants to be. Such a sad little paradox.
