One head cannon that I’ve thought of recently is that when they were kids, if one of the bros got injured or sick, the other would refuse to leave him no matter what until he got better.

Thoughts on Kaz & his Cane
I was thinking about Kaz and his cane tonight, as a cane user with no small amount of experience. In canon, Kaz breaks his leg at 14, and shortly thereafter has the infamous crow head cane made by a Fabrikator. In the intervening years, he's surely gained some inches in height. The cane is an important part of him and his life. Not only is it his mobility aid, it is an integral part of his reputation. So a few things could have happened...
He has the cane altered by a Fabrikator several times to correct its height in relation to his. As he grows in height, he's also growing in reputation, and funds. He should have the kruge.
The original cane doesn't get extended, and he ends up with an issue in that shoulder until he realizes he really needs to solve the issue. He gets the cane fixed.
He gets an additional cane at the correct height every so often, hiding the old extras somewhere in the attic or some other stash spot in case he needs them in a pinch. (As someone with multiple canes, having a back up is SO useful.)
Regardless of which of these options, Kaz would be likely to have some issues with the cane using shoulder and wrist regardless, because not having a static height would cause issues along the way, until he reaches his final adult height. He might end up with that shoulder lower or higher, depending on how he uses his cane and its height. He will likely end up with arthritis in that shoulder and possibly that wrist later in life as well. Also, his 'good' leg is going to develop issues from over compensating. I've been thinking about incorporating the various issues that come up with long term cane use into some later story.
Food for thoughts in your fics about Kaz as he ages.

Tagged by @hippolotamus, @eddiediaztho, @disasterbuckdiaz, @forthewolves, @giddyupbuck @fortheloveofbuddie @wikiangela and @daffi-990 Thank you all so much! You all so amazing and I look forward to all of your upcoming works! Go check them out!
Ya'll I have been riding on an ecstatic high since Sunday. Not only did my Kansas City Chief's win, they blew out the Chicago Bears. And to top it all off, my favorite player Travis Kelce, who I have been a huge fan of for years (long before Taylor Swift, before the super bowl wins, and before Patrick Mahomes) got T-Swift to come to a game and freaking broke the internet. I have loved every moment and I am just so elated about it all. So to keep with the trend of the NFL, here is NFL Buck... and his leg injury.
They didn’t even make it to half time and Christopher never showed his touchdown dance to his grandparents. Midway through the second quarter, linebacker Jayon Brown sideswiped the left tackle, leaving him free and with a direct shot to the quarterback. Just as Buckley was releasing the ball for a pass to the endzone to DeAndre Hopkins, Brown tackled him, knocking his throw off and allowing Adoree Jackson to intercept it. Brown swears up and down to this day, the tackle was clean, but deeply regrets the damage that came from it. What he doesn’t tell anyone but those closest to him; he heard and felt Evan Buckley’s leg break under him and when he got back to the sideline, he puked his guts behind the bench. Evan’s cries of pain were barely heard over the roar of the crowd celebrating the pick and it took a short moment for anyone to notice that the Texan’s quarterback had not gotten back up.  Right tackle Kendall Lamm was the first to notice Buckley’s injury and frantically waved over the training staff. He would go on to tell the press, “Buckley is a tough son of a bitch and to hear that sort of anguish coming from him, I knew something was wrong.” Then when asked about the injury the large offensive lineman would pale slightly, “Legs aren't supposed go that way, but I ain’t no doctor and we can only pray Evan comes back from this.”
The amount of research that has gone into the section is crazy. All players besides Buck are real players on those teams at that time. The interception actually occurred in the 2nd quarter of that game, but I'm putting the whole broken leg twist into there. If you have any questions about the NFL or American football in general please shoot me a message. Hope you all enjoyed! Go Chiefs!

Derek Morgan X daughter reader
Request:
could i request a morgan x daugter (5) who falls and breaks her leg and stuggles really bad with speaking her needs to her dad because she feels bad he has to help her🤍
I like the sound of this idea
Third person pov...
Derek Morgan hurried through the crowded emergency room, his heart racing with fear and worry. His five-year-old daughter, Y/N had fallen and broken her leg while playing in the backyard, and he was beside himself with guilt and anxiety.
He couldn't believe that he had been so careless, letting his guard down for just a moment while he went to check on dinner in the kitchen.
In that split second, the H/C girl had tripped over a toy and landed awkwardly, resulting in a loud cry that sent chills down Derek's spine.
He had quickly scooped her up and rushed her to the hospital, ignoring his own injury from the shattered glass on the kitchen floor, he had dropped a glass measuring jug onto the tilled floor.
Now, as he sat in the waiting room, waiting for the doctors to finish treating his young daughter, he couldn't help but feel like a failure as a father.
Eventually, the doctor emerged from the room and informed Derek that Y/Ns leg had been set in a cast, and she was now resting in a hospital room.
With a sense of relief, Derek made his way to his daughter's room, eager to see her and reassure himself that she was okay.
As he entered the room, he was struck by the sight of the 5 year old lying on the bed, her leg propped up and covered in a cast.
She looked small and fragile, and Derek couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt in his chest. He had promised to always protect her, and yet here she was, injured under his watch.
"Hey, baby girl" Derek said softly as he sat down on the edge of the bed, careful not to jostle her leg.
The little H/C girl looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy from crying. "Daddy, I'm sorry" she whispered, her voice trembling, she began fiddling with the blanket laying across her legs.
Derek's heart broke at the sight of his daughter blaming herself for the accident. "Oh sweetheart, it's not your fault. Accidents happen, and daddy should have been more careful" he replied, brushing her hair out of her face.
The little girls lower lip quivered, and she held back tears as she struggled to speak. Derek realized then that Y/N was probably feeling guilty because she couldn't communicate her needs to him properly. She had always been a shy and quiet child, and this must have been overwhelming for her.
"Do you need anything, honey? Are you in pain?" Derek asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
The little girl hesitated for a moment before nodding. "My leg hurts, daddy" she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Derek's heart twisted at the pain in her voice. He knew that Y/N must have been afraid to ask for help, not wanting to be a burden to her father. But Derek was determined to make sure his daughter felt as comfortable as possible.
"I'll get the nurse to give you some pain medication, okay? And then we can watch your favorite movie together" Derek said with a smile, trying to ease the tension.
Y/N face lit up, and she nodded eagerly. As Derek left the room to find a nurse, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the strong bond he shared with his daughter.
When he cam back he gently sat down beside her and took her hand in his, after the nurse had left "N/N sweetheart, it's okay to ask for help. I know you're a tough girl, but even the toughest need a little help sometimes" he said with a comforting smile.
The little girl looked up at her dad with tear-filled eyes and finally let out a sob. "I don't want to be a burden, daddy" she managed to say between sobs.
Derek's heart broke at those words. He immediately pulled her into a hug and whispered "You could never be a burden to me, you're my little girl, and I'll do anything for you."
The little 5 year olds tears continued to flow, but she felt relieved knowing that her dad didn't see her as a burden. She began to open up to him, telling him about the pain in her leg and how she couldn't do things on her own.
Derek listened to her patiently and reassured her that it was okay to rely on others sometimes, especially when injured. He also promised her that once her leg was healed, they could do all the activities she loved together.
Y/Ns spirits lifted, and she smiled at her dad, feeling grateful for his love and support.
Over the next few weeks, thr little H/C girls leg slowly healed, and she was able to be more independent again. But she also learned a valuable lesson, that it's okay to ask for help when needed.
Derek was happy to see his little girl back to her talkative and energetic self, knowing that she no longer felt bad about needing his help.
Their bond had only grown stronger through this experience, and Derek was grateful for the opportunity to take care of his daughter.
After a few weeks she gotten used to using her crutches, her and her dad walked into the FBI building together,
Y/N walking slowly but managing.
As they reached the bullpen she stopped to take a breath, using crutches was tiring for the 5 year old, noticing his daughter wasn't next to him Derek turned around and saw her by the elevator.
He then knelt down next to the young girl. "Everything okay Baby girl?" He asks hoping she would tell him that she needed help.
Y/N bit her lip and stayed quiet, Derek waited watching her when someone came up behind them turning to see his face light up to see Penelope. "Hello my chocolate thunder and sunshine" Says Penelope smiling brightly at them.
Derek stands and wraps an arm around Penelope "Good morning to you baby girl" he says kissing her head. Penelope blushes. "Everything okay sunshine?" She asks the young girl.
Y/N looks at her and shakes her head. "I need help Daddy" she says voice confident, Derek was shocked he was so proud of her. "I'm glad yky told Mr baby I'm so proud of you" he says picking the young girl up and holding her on his hip.
Y/N grins and wraps her arms around his neck holding tight. Giggling she was carried the rest of the way into the bullpen by her Daddy.
The end!
Hope you liked this oneshot it's been a while since I wrote one for Derek, sorry for any grammar and Spelling mistakes.
Requests are open!

Hey.. uhh.. can I get an order of enemy soldier finding a civilian who's injured and takes pity on them? Civilian is probably shot or has a broken bone and soldier provides basic first aid and comforts them and stuff. Maybe even a side of trying to keep civilian awake?? It can end with whatever you want :3
Hi there! Let’s get that started for you! Thanks for choosing the Whump Drive Thru!
Soldier marched down the streets of the ruined city. They were meant to be looking for survivors. Gunfire rang out behind them, sounded like one of their fellow soldiers had found a survivor. Soldier shuddered and heard a whimper and the sound of rubble shifting. Soldier whipped around, aiming their rifle at the noise. They stared into the frightened eyes of a civilian.
“P-please,” they begged.
Soldier held their rifle tighter, despite their shaking hands. Their finger hovered over the trigger, but they couldn’t bring themselves to squeeze. Another gunshot in the distance. Another survivor. Soldier cursed and slung their rifle over their shoulder. They knelt down next to the civilian and started pulling the rubble off of them. They saw their eyes start to flicker in and out of focus. Their lids started to slip closed.
“Hey,” Soldier said, slapping them, “none of that. Talk to me. What’s your name?”
“C-Civilian,” they said tearfully.
“Keep talking,” Soldier said as they worked, “are you hurt?”
“Yes,” Civilian said.
“Where?”
Soldier got their answer when they removed the last piece of rubble trapping Civilian. Their leg was bent at an unsightly angle. Soldier winced at the sight.
“I’m gonna pick you up now,” Soldier said, “it isn’t safe here.”
Soldier heaved Civilian up into a bridal carry. Civilian screamed.
“Shush!” Soldier hissed, “I know it hurts, but you can’t make noise.”
Soldier laid Civilian down on the bed. They didn’t know whose house this was, but they obviously didn’t need it anymore. Half of the roof was blown off and it was a wonder the bedroom was intact at all. Fortunately, this part of the city had already been scoured by Soldier’s comrades. No one would be coming back here anytime soon.
Soldier pulled out a first-aid kit from their pack.
“I need to set your leg,” Soldier said.
“Please, no-”
“I know what I’m doing. I was in medical school before the war. Please, it needs to be treated.”
Civilian looked at Soldier with pleading eyes, then nodded. Soldier worked quickly, trying to ignore Civilian’s screams. Once their leg was in the splint, Soldier sat back and breathed a sigh of relief.
“There,” they said, “that will keep it still. You need to see a proper doctor, but this will do for now.”
Civilian sniffled and nodded.
“Thank you,” Civilian said.
Soldier sighed again.
“I’ll take you to the train station in the morning. We can only go so far on foot.”
“Train station? I don’t understand-”
“We need to get you to a doctor. The nearest town is several miles away.”
“But why are you helping me?”
Soldier smiled ruefully.
“I don't agree with killing civilians. Besides, I’ve just betrayed my country for you. Seems a pity to abandon you now.”
Thanks again for choosing the Whump Drive Thru, you have been served by Huffle!

Whumptober Day 11
All the lights going dark, and my hope's destroyed /animal trap / captivity / No one will find you
"Hey Rosie, could you check the cupboard for me? I left a mousetrap in there. I think a mouse had been stealing our fruit", Caretaker struck a match, and lit the fireplace.
A squeal from his daughter sent Caretaker running. Did he catch the mouse?
Rosie held the cabinet door shut with shaky hands.
"Did we catch the mouse?", Caretaker paused a few feet from his daughter, "I felt bad using that, but..."
"Dad?", his daughter cut him off, "you caught something, but it's not a mouse."
"What?", Caretaker looked concerned, "what did I catch", he opened the doors, and instantly his jaw dropped.
A terrified figure looked at them, one that had their leg trapped inside of the mouse trap, one that had been weakly trying to escape, there was several lines on the figures skin where the trap had reclosed on them. This figure would have stood five inches. Now Caretaker was certain they couldn't even stand.
"Dad that's not a mouse", Rosie looked at it in bewilderment, "what is it?"
"I have no idea, um, I'm sure it would like the trap removed though", Caretaker cautiously reached in to remove the trap.
The figure cowarded away from his hands and threw a blind punch. They made a wincing face when their leg moved.
Caretaker jumped a little but went on to remove the trap. He cupped the figure into his hand.
"I'm not gonna hurt you, can you even understand me?", Caretaker looked at the figure.
The figure looked at him sadly, and nodded that they understood.
"Can you talk, at least in a way that we understand", Caretaker carried the figure, "Rosie can you grab that soft pillow, I believe their leg is broken."
The figure shook their head no.
Rosie approached with the pillow.
"Thankyou", Caretaker gently placed the figure on it.
"Are you part of the fae?", Caretaker questioned.
The figure shook their head no again.
"Are you the fruit thief, and have you been living here long?", Caretaker grinned.
The figure nodded yes, and held up five fingers.
"Five... uh.. days", Caretaker thought, "yes that's about when the fruit started to disappear. So you're not fae, you are just this tiny."
The figure winced again as they moved their leg and shook their head yes again.
"Oh right I am so sorry", Caretaker hurried, "I'll have more questions later, let's get you taken care of."
The small figure smiled weakly and nodded.
"First step is figuring out what to do, I've never taken care of five inch person before", Caretaker stroked his beard, he gently poked the leg, "I'm sorry your leg got broken from the trap."
An idea sprung on Caretaker, "one minute", he went to grab something.
Rosie sadly looked at them, "I hope you are okay, my dad will fix you right up."
Caretaker came back with a few supplies, "I've got ribbon and some sticks. I'll make a makeshift splint. I'll wrap this with bandage tape to make sure it stays on."
The figure watched as the leg was set, they winced a little, but Caretaker was as gentle as possible.
"I wish you would have shown us you were present, you would have been welcomed in, and this may not have happened", Caretaker frowned, "I'm sorry you got injured."
The tiny figure reached for Caretaker finger, they gently shook it.
"I think I'll take that as I'm sorry, and thankyou", Caretaker smiled.
The tiny figure nodded approvingly.
"Alright then", Caretaker watched his daughter enter the room.
Rosie set a bowl of fruit and a cup of water down close to the little figure, "please don't feel like you have to steal, we have plenty."
The figure reached for a berry, and looked up with a smile.
"Your welcome", Rosie giggled.
"You can stay here as long as you need to, especially with that leg. No one will find you and hurt you either", Caretaker looked at the tiny figure, "no telling what could happen to you if the wrong people found you."
Rosie and the tiny figure agreed.
"We won't have to worry about that though", Caretaker smiled.
