Pieces of you should be prepared in different methods, but I'll try to keep this short despite that.

I would prepare part of you Char Siu style, part Eight Treasures style, part Spiced Beef style, and then prepare those together with shrimp to make Four Treasures fried rice.

Render your thinner bones into stock, probably a rich Tonkatsu style one with a long process. Serve with noodles, and seasoned and cured belly.

Cook thicker bones dry for marrow extraction.

Smoke your ribs, I'm thinking tangy Mango Habanero Barbecue sauce to go on and caramelize in the last part of cooking.

Peel off and fry spare skin, crisped very sparingly seasoning-wise, just let the natural flavours peak through.

Make blood sausage with a majority of.... well, your blood. But save part of it to bake cookies with, blood can be used as an egg substitute in baking fyi. Can't have a good meal without desert.

And finally, clean and polish your skull. Not for eating, just as a reminder.

I went to my PO Box this week and had SO! MANY! TATOCHIPS! I don’t know if anyone else calls them tatochips but I do sometimes, and I was walking around my living room singing a little song about tatochips to myself. I had two boxes of flavor!

So here are my tasting notes:

From R (not my R) in the southwest -- let me know if you have a handle I should use, also love the cactus card: 

Fried Corndog and Mustard HEB brand: Delightful. Delectable. This is a mild, less piquant variant of the hot dog chip than some; I don’t think they used much paprika if any. It’s meaty but not too beefy, and the mustard is hinted at. There’s no cornmeal flavor per se but I’m here for the hot dog anyway.

Mixed Berry Lemonade HEB brand: WHY. SO SOUR. OH THE SOUR. I AM FORSAKEN. There is a hint of berry which is peculiar but not unpleasant; then it’s just SO MUCH CITRIC ACID. I feel like a mixed berry potato chip sans lemonade would have been preferable. Hell is empty because HEB is here.

Black Pepper Rib Tip (Lays?): Steaky! They have a real beef flavor, hint of pepper; it’s easy to do smoke flavoring badly but they were sparing with it. Also they come in a vertical tin but they’re in a horizontal plastic tray inside it, which is an amazing combination of absurdist and practical and made me laugh. 

Black Pepper and Cheese “Italian” Pringles: These are meant to be cacio e pepe, yes? They are peppery and cheesy! A nice balance. I prefer slightly less pepper flavor but they’re by no means inedible. Although the bar for potato chips being edible is significantly lower after Mixed Berry Lemonade chips killed God. 

Garlic Baguette Sun Chips: I have had garlic baguette chips before but not Sun Chips, which adds to the experience. I opened the bag and was immediately enveloped in a cloud of garlic, but the chips -- while definitely garlicky -- have a nice buttery flavor to them that emphasizes the “garlic bread” aspect. The texture of the sun chips implies a crispy crust which adds zing. 

Thank you both for an adventurous potato chip experience! I will consume these many chips....and find some culinary use for the Mixed Berry Lemonade ones. Somehow.

DUDE we went to the store today qnd stocked up on a shitton of food that was on my food list [IE shit you can’t get in the UK that i miss so so much and haven’t had in YEARS] including LOFTHOUSE COOKIES!!!!!!!! which my dad never had before but he asked to try one cuz he saw how much i liked it and then he and i and my sister ate basically the whole box in one go and will have to get more tomorrow. Sunset Savanna - Sunset Villa

Upon returning to the hotel, Kalim sees someone in front of Jack’s room. Leona says it’s the nurse Kifaji arranged. He asks how Jack is doing. The nurse replies that Jack’s condition has improved. He is resting right now. The boys are relieved to hear that. Grim, as always, says he’s starving. They should eat. Lilia agrees with him as he is also feeling hungry. Kalim says they practiced a lot for Catch The Tail. Grim agrees, but Lilia tells Grim he didn’t do anything.😆

Leona tells them not to worry. It’s almost dinner time. The nurse inform the boys that barbecue will be served for dinner. The nurse adds that Kifaji asked that Kalim eat together with them. Grim can’t wait. He tells everyone to hurry up and go eat.

Kalim sees that there’s a lot of meat brought out. Grim excitedly says it all looks good. However, Vil doesn’t seem too content. He imagined a different kind of barbecue. Lilia agrees. It’s changed a lot. Leona says it’s normal, right? Vil mentions all the meats he sees. Beef, pork, chicken, goat, steak, spare ribs, skewers, sausage, ham, and bacon… IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT MEAT!!! He explains that usually, in a barbecue, there are also vegetables and seafood, too. It’s a balanced nutrition! Vil asks Leona if he ordered this. Leona smugly replies that he wonders about that.😂

Choice A: “I love meat!”

Leona tells Yuu that the meat of this country is delicious. Taste it to their heart’s content!

Choice B: “I want to eat vegetables, too.”

Vil tells Yuu that’s great. It’s important to maintain a balanced diet.

The head chef informs everyone that Kifaji sent more ingredients other than meat. So, everyone wins. Leona intended to eat a full-course of meat, but Kifaji had other plans.😊 Vil smugly tells Leona the consideration was splendid. With that, the boys sit down to eat.

Grim is enjoying eating a steak. It’s so thick and satisfying! Lilia remarks that eating a steak grilled right in front of him is wild. It’s the best! Vil says he can’t ordinarily eat in a regular restaurant. This is the pleasure of barbecue. Besides, the head chef grills better than they do in restaurants. Leona points out that despite complaining so much, Vil is eating meat. Vil replies that he will eat meat. He just hates the idea of it only being meat. Besides, grilling barbecue is surprisingly healthy because excess fat is removed.

Kalim says that the baked sausage is also really good. Lilia adds that it’s huge. It’s the first time he sees it coiled. Leona says that if they extend it, it’s a meter long (39 in). They cut it with scissors and eat it. Lilia has a bite, and says it’s delicious. The herbs give it a refreshing taste. Vil also says it’s delicious. The meat is coarsely ground, and has a strong flavor. Kalim is pleased with the sausage. He wants to take it home. It’s the first time he’s eaten such good sausage. Leona is, quite frankly, taken aback. He says if Kalim Al-Asim says so, then he doesn’t feel bad.

At the same time, Grim is busy stuffing his face. Lilia says he’s eating without cutting his food. Vil calls Grim greedy, and warns him that he will get a stomach ache. Grim continues to eat, requesting seconds. Lilia tells Vil it’s useless to worry over Grim.

Kalim notices that there are shrimp and crab skewers. He adds that the color is extremely fresh. Vil says it’s somewhat surprising that they can get fresh seafood in Sunset Savanna. Leona explains that the area facing the sea in Sunset Savanna offers cheap and fresh seafood. Since the royal capital, Sunrise City, is close to the coast, seafood dishes have also been created. In areas not close to lakes and seas, raw seafood is still a luxury.

Grim says that sounds delicious. They all bite into their skewers. Lilia says it tastes fresh. Kalim says it’s spicy, his favorite flavor. Vil mentions it has a strong spiciness, but a delicious aftertaste. Kalim asks Yuu which skewer they want to try.

Choice A: “Eat a big lobster skewer!”

Grim gets upset, and says he will eat the big skewer. He tells Yuu to eat the next big one. (Rude.)

Choice B: “Eat a small shrimp skewer.”

Kalim mentions there are a few small shrimp skewers being grilled. Grim says it looks delicious, too. He will eat them. (Grim, you are such a glutton. Can’t have anything…)

Anyways, Grim mentions that the skewers are chewy and yummy as he stuffs his face. Vil points out that he even ate the shell. Kalim says it’s exciting. He’s going to imitate Grim, too. Leona tells Kalim to stop. Jamil will cry. Lilia says he wants a drink. The head chef tells Lilia to pick a drink from the menu. Kalim mentions there’s a lot to choose from. Fruit juice, tea, coffee… Leona says coffee is a specialty in Sunset Savanna. Lilia comments that they enjoy coffee time after a meal. He takes a drink, and is surprised. It’s spicy! Kalim is confused. Isn’t it bitter? Leona says that people here often add spices to their coffee. Lilia understands. He likes the taste.

Kalim says that the cheerful music has begun. The head chef replies that the dance show is about to begin. Vil says it’s true. A lot of dancers just came out. The head chef suggests they go out, and dance along with if they’d like. Kalim isn’t one turn down a dance invite. He says it’s interesting, and that he’ll do it. Lilia also says he will dance. Of course, Grim also jumps at the idea.

Choice A: “I want to dance!”

Kalim tells Yuu now they’re talking. They should have fun!

Choice B: “Leave the clapping to me!”

Lilia tells Yuu that it’s good to be full of excitement.

Kalim asks Vil if he will not dance. Vil replies that he will pass. There are other guests, right? They deserve the attention. Lilia asks Leona. He replies that he does not dance. Lilia tells them they’re boring. They’re off to dance! (Can I just assume Vil is not only protecting the brand, but himself?😆 Real smooth, Vil.)

—Stage

I’m not about to decipher onomatopoeias again, but the music is still playing. Grim, Kalim, and Lilia are having fun while dancing.

—Barbecue Venue

Vil comments that the song has a unique rhythm. It’s fresh. Leona explains that it’s a polyrhythm. Several different rhythms are progressing simultaneously. It’s considered to be old music. Vil still says the song has a good vibe, but it’s difficult to find the tempo. Anyways, everyone is dancing well. Kalim, in particular, is as good as the dancers. Leona comments that Grim’s dancing is terrible. He looks over at Lilia, commenting on his dancing, but Leona questions if that is even a dance. Lilia seems to be having fun, but he’s making strange movements.🤣 Vil says it’s fine. It’s not a contest.

—Stage

Leona asks if it’s finally over. If so, they should finish. Lilia exclaims that it’s getting exciting. Next is singing! Leona and Vil are shocked. Vil asks if it’s not over yet. Kalim says that even though it’s exciting, it would be a waste to end it there, right? Lilia adds that it’s an opportunity to show off their singing vocals that they cultivated in the Pop Music Club! Vil questions that singing voice Lilia mentions. It can’t be that screaming. The guests will faint.

Leona growls that the party is over. He tells everyone to get back to their rooms. Lilia sulks, saying that he was in a good mood. Kalim says it’s unfortunate. Vil reminds them that Catch The Tail is tomorrow. Getting a good rest is also important for a player. Lilia agrees. It can’t be helped. Both Vil and Leona sigh.

Vil wishes everyone a good night. Leona simply says “Later”. Grim yawns, and tells Yuu they’re both going to bed, too. Yuu wishes everyone a good night. Second option has them say “See you tomorrow!” Once the four leave, Kalim laments it’s over already. Lilia also sulks, and says it’s boring. However, they turn to look at one another in a moment of silence. Then, they look around before looking at each other again. The two share a big, huge grin.

How dare you ask me the MOST DIFFICULT ONE- /j

This is genuinely difficult for me bc I love all of my OCs, but I'll keep it to one of the ones I have for OP for this.

This is Suma. She's 21. She likes the color pink. She doesn't like skirts because she can't move the way she wants without the fear of accidentally flashing someone. She's also a Gunner / Explosives Expert for the Straw Hats! She had a pet snake when she was little named Bubble. She's hard-headed, can be difficult at times, and doesn't trust easy. But God, she would do anything for the crew she's come to love, despite keeping them all at an arm's length for so long.

Suma goes from "I am not your pet. I never liked you, I don't care about you, I won't wait for you. I bite." to "I'm not a violent dog. I don't know why I bite."

She comes from Janoshima, an island in the East Blue, where her family is the ruling royalty there. Technically, she's a princess, but don't call her that. When she was born, her mother [ Daiyū ] already had four other children. Two of which she tried to kill. She almost succeeded with Suma.

So. Her aunt, Ayame, took Suma in as her daughter. For seven years, Suma lived in Janoshima. She was raised alongside Ayame's children, was treated like she was her child. Until Daisuke & Daiyu returned- and took Suma back. From there, her life went from living like a Princess ( literally ) to a living hell.

I'll spare the details, but Suma's tongue was split ( against her will ) at 13, and she has a branded 'P' on her wrist from her mother.

When she was fourteen, Mizuki- one of her older sisters- killed their parents while they were all out at sea, and Kiyomi, the eldest child, took control of the Sapphire Serpent. Suma remained on the ship until she was nineteen, when she and Kiyomi got into an argument and Kiyomi, in retaliation, chummed the water and shoved Suma in.

Suma made it to port, and spent the next year in the Grand Line, island hopping- until running into the Straw Hats in Alabasta and, in a failed attempt to pickpocket Sanji ( getting caught by Zoro ), unintentionally joins the Straw Hats.

She's with them until the events of Sabaody, where she learns that Ayame had returned to the sea- AND been captured & thrown into Impel, with a looming execution date over her head. Pair that with Kuma McBapping everyone into the ether, well.

Suma had it rough.

And it got worse when she learned, weeks later, that her aunt sacrificed herself to save Ace at Marineford. ( we love donuts here. )

Suma was stuck on an island called Gravedigger Island for the two years of the timeskip; there, she meets Marigold and Drew Kiciloff who essentially adopt her into their family. They teach her how to actually fight in hand to hand combat, then with a sword, and finally return her guns to her to begin using it all in combination with one another. Marigold is the one she calls Father, now. Drew is her sister.

Literal weeks before she reunites with the Straw Hats- Mizuki finds her on pure accident. And they fight. It's not good. Suma blows up the beach. Mizuki tries to, literally, rip out Suma's guts. Mizuki gets some fun injuries of her own, and escapes. Suma- at the point of returning to the Straw Hats:

-Has beefed tf up. Went from the soft, sweet chubbiness of a princess who lived a good life to having the ability to break open a watermelon with her thighs, and throw punches like a MMA fighter.

-Is no longer holding everyone at arm's length but rather HUGS everyone the first time she sees them and immediately starts checking them over to make sure THEY'RE okay

-Is still healing from the rib to hip, cross stomach gashes from her own sister.

-Finally healed from her trauma.

( of course that's not the end of shit for her but. That's where her story is so far. )

My all-time favorite BBQ joint is in Texarkana, but it's a hole-in-the-wall run by a cousin and they don't have a website (despite my offering to make them one). They do all the beef over post oak and everything else over pecan.

Quinn and Terzo share a meal and read their fortunes

        Russel Demuir’s birthday was almost always spent having a ghoul transport Sera to the States to order from a particular Chinese restaurant, always bringing back enough for two or three days worth of leftovers. Sometimes it felt like they ordered one of everything on the menu. Rice, noodles, vegetables, beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, soups, egg rolls, spare ribs, wontons… Everything! The refrigerator held nothing but Chinese food for those days. Quinn and Terzo always rifled through the boxes the day after, seeking their favourite dishes to heat up after the birthday celebration was over. The two sat shoulder to shoulder on Terzo’s couch, watching T.V. and eating their food. Occasionally, one would steal food from the other’s dishes, sometimes prompting playful fighting and arguing. Quinn reached over with her chopsticks, grabbing a piece of chicken from Terzo’s plate. “Hey! Vaffanculo ! (Fuck off!) ” Quinn made a face at him. “You’re lucky I like you, strega ! ( hag/witch )” He gave her an arch look, stealing some beef off her plate. “Oh no, you’re lucky I like you.” Terzo scoffed, before sobering a little. “I am though – lucky, that is.” “We’re both lucky,” she gave him a small smile. “I know at eleven years old I definitely did not think I’d find my best friend in Italy.” “I can confirm I never expected to have an American as my best friend either,” he laughed. 

        They finished their plates and Terzo grabbed the two fortune cookies from the small table nearby, passing one to Quinn. He lazily opened his cookie, pulling the small slip of paper out. “Now, tesoruccio ( little treasure ), remember – we have to add ‘in bed’ to the end of these.” “That’s such a stupid thing, but I suppose some are hilarious.” “Is it not American custom?!” He insisted, grinning. “Ugh… Get on it with it then.” “Try everything once, even the things you don't think you will like – in bed! I always do!” Terzo said smugly, holding the small slip of paper. “What’s yours say?” “Depart not from the path which fate has assigned you… in bed.” “And what have you been doing in bed that I am unaware of, Quinn?” he teased, bumping her with his elbow. “Quit it! Nothing. I go to bed and I go to sleep, that is all that happens in my bed.” “What about other people’s beds?” Terzo asked suggestively. She gave him a flat look. “You’re breaking my heart, tesoruccio . Sex is… what word do I want… eh, amazing. The passion, the feelings, the emotions…” “Emotions? From the man whose bed is almost a revolving door and flees commitment?” Quinn teased. “Casual things can have emotions, too. Not everything is a romance novel. Which you’d know if you weren’t a virgin.” Quinn gave him a testy look before snatching one of the halves of his fortune cookie out of his hand and popping it into her mouth. “There is no shame in being a virgin, you just haven’t experienced certain things yet, that’s all.” “Oh my god, stop talking,” she laughed before changing the topic. “Is Copia coming to watch movies tonight?” “Hm, I think so? Primo was going to fake needing his help to give him a better cover story. Despite being an adult he still allows Sister too much control,” Terzo clucked his tongue disparagingly.

Josslyn is really calling sonny a fraud when she's just as fake as he is. Girl can't even admit that she doesn't actually care about sonny being a mobster she cares about him cheating on her mom which I don't blame her for that because who wouldn't be upset about that but fucking own that shit at least instead of creating some imaginary beef with the mob lifestyle.🤷

Whenever she wants something she has no problem using sonny's name in order to get it. Whenever she wants to threaten someone she has no problem with using his name to scare them so spare me with the whole "I don't fuck with the mob" attitude. Also it's so funny how she had no problem with her mama taking over as mob boss when Sonny was "dead". Girlie was living the dream when her mama married the family hit man.🥴

Sidenote: it's crazy how only a couple years ago when the floating rib got blown up due to Cyrus ordering Julian to do it and josslyn's friend dev died there and Sam had that talk with josslyn about living with the mob lifestyle I wanted her so badly to actually start resenting the mob then because it made SENSE. Her family was in the middle of a mob war and She lost a friend to mob violence, that's where the story should've went but they didn't do anything with it but NOW they want to have her "hate" the mob out of the blue because of this???

assorted thoughts about Dan having a (teenage) body again

Dan is utterly unprepared for the hormonal cocktail that is being a 14yo again, he can deal, but he also wants to scream about it (Jazz suggests for him to scream into pillows, it helps marginally)

he wildly misjudges both his height and weight constantly, he's used to thinking of himself as big and burly, a walking brick wall, and now he's suddenly tiny and kinda scrawny, and he will tell everyone he doesn't fit into places he can totally fit into because he actually has to look at his body to remember that no, he's actually not as big as he thinks he is

this also leads to Dan regularly being out of his depth with what he thinks he can do

he eventually adjusts to the new normal, but it takes a few months until he has a good feel for his body and what it can't and can do

Dan has also absolutely forgotten that sometimes having a body fucking sucks, and he will complain about it, especially in the beginning

this likely being a freshly grown body from Vlad's lab and not some other kind of spare, his vestibular system and balance also needs calibrating, and he is very unprepared for how exhilarating being flung around suddenly is

after one of his rants, Jazz suggests, that if he has that much spare energy, he should go for a walk, or maybe a run if he feels like it

Dan does not feel like going for a run, and Jazz telling him he can scream about it if it makes him feel better is only marginally convincing

Dan goes for a run, but like, his body has never actually done sports regularly, it hasn't done a lot of running since he got it, and he has The Worst beginners experience, stitches, short breath, heart jumping out of his chest, he's probably slightly dizzy and coughing as he tries to regain his breath, because he's been running until his legs almost gave out

he can feel his heart thumping with all its might against his rib cage, so much it almost hurts, he feels fucking awful, like "you have to pay him to ever do this again"-awful, he's sweaty and gross and all he wants is a bath and a nap, but he also feels alive, it's the first time since he got this body that he actually feels alive and his brain chemistry is very ???? about that but in a good way

after a bath, a nap and lots of food, when his brain is finally at normal thinking capacity again Dan realises another thing, and that is that he was Stressed Out Of His Mind, and now he's not, and obviously he hasn't needed to process stress like a human in forever and this body never actually had to do that either, but apparently it helped him overall, ghost and human parts alike

to his utter dismay Dan realises that Running Is Good For Him

the neighbourhood gains a new runner in form of a scrawny, stressed, yelling teenager, because Dan decides Jazz is right, he gets to go "AAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHH" about it until he's hoarse

to everyone's surprise and most of all Dan's, Dan is The Sports Guy because of this

that being said, Vlad/Plasmius is the beef gene carrier, which means Dan's ghost form is still visibly bulkier than his human body, and while he initially considers this an injustice to his person, he eventually learns to appreciate the advantage of being slightly underestimated

Dan sort of tries his way through several types of sports initially, because he doesn't really know what he wants or likes, but he understands that getting hot and sweaty and angry is somehow helpful, but what ends up sticking his parkour since it's plenty helpful for ghost fighting, maybe a bit of gymnastics too so he can flip around on the ground and in the air as much as he likes
