Balanced Bacon Burger
Chef’s Note: I don’t have a grill, so I used a pan. But, this should be workable on a grill too.
Original recipe link
Makes: 8 burgers
Ingredients
Burger
2 lb ground beef
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Sauce
3/4 cup mayo (or Miracle Whip)
3 tbsp sweet pickle relish
3 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp white sugar
1 tbsp dried minced onion
Toppings
8 strips bacon
8 slices cheddar cheese
8 hamburger bun
lettuce leaves {{{ I recommend at least 3 bun sized pieces per burger }}}
Instructions
0. Cook your bacon. Oven at 375°F for 15 minutes or stovetop. Either way, make and then drain on a paper towel-lined plate
Sauce
1. In a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, pickle relish, ketchup, sugar and onion until well blended.
Burger
1. In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and garlic powder. Mix well.
2. Form the beef mixture into 8 patties. Make these spread out as the burgers shrink when cooking
3. Place patties in a nonstick pan. Cook over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes each side.
Burgers should be 160°F in the middle
4. Place a cheese slice on the burger. Cook for about 1 minute, or until the cheese melts
Assemble
1. Cut each bacon strip in half.
2. Layer bottom half of each bun with the lettuce, burger (with cheese), and two bacon halves.
3. Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the top bun.
4. Place top bun on the burger. Enjoy!

What does it take to feel this alive?
Every day, we're gonna try
What does it take to feel this alive?
Chase down our fears till they're forced to hide
This commission - done by the incredible otterwich - is particularly special to me. It's a vision of a hypothetical future in which Caspian and Scourge are a little older, and have finally shed the burdens and pains of the past. No longer the Alliance Commander and the Emperor's Wrath - just two men who have left everything behind them, going off to explore the wonders of the galaxy and their devotion to each other. As much as I might put them through angst and horrors in the present, I believe that one day, they'll be here.
