You can't tell me that John wasn't drawn to Atlantis. No way he wound up on that exact posting by accident. She chose him, and called upon him. Love guided him to her.

Hi, I have a question that you might like answering. If you don't want to, that's totally fine, I don't want to make you feel pressured or anything.
Exactly how fast is warp speed in Stargate?? As much as I love Stargate, I'm more of a Star Trek girly personally, so this is confusing me. I've seen you talk a few times about how Star Trek warp is so slow, to the point of calling warp ten slow. Which is what threw me off the most because in Star Trek canon, warp ten is infinite speed (...yeah. I know how goofy that sounds. I have a book that sort of explains how that works, but it's still kinda ridiculous, in my opinion.) So I was just wondering if you would be willing to help explain warp speed in Stargate?
(If you had any questions about Star Trek that I could help answer in return, I'd be totally up for it....but only if you had any. I just mean that I'm not just trying to corner you with questions or anything like that.😅)
Once again, if you don't want to respond to this, or don't feel comfortable doing so, it's not a problem at all. I was just curious.🙂 (Sorry if I wasted your time.💙)
you absolutely aren't wasting my time! so hyperspeed/hyperspace in stargate isn't necessarily going super fast, it's cutting through subspace. we can tell that the Daedalus is much faster than a trek ship because of the distance difference the two franchises have
Atlantis is in an entirely different galaxy, and there's a rather large intergalactic void that takes up most of the travel time - hence why it takes so much power from the gates and requires either a gate bridge or an 8th chevron. Starfleet resides only in the Milky Way galaxy, divided into quadrants.
and yet, Starfleet vessels (barring the borg and whatever tf prodigy had going on) take weeks to months to travel border-to-border within the alpha quadrant alone. in Star Trek Enterprise, they canonically travelled 50 (?) light-years in six months at warp 4.5ish.
copied from the internet (Wikipedia so can't guarantee accuracy it's just the first result that gave me a straight answer)
The Daedalus class ships employ an Asgard intergalactic hyperdrive which based on the fact that the distance between the Milky Way and the Pegasus Galaxy is 3 million light years gives the Daedalus a top speed greater than 5952 light years per hour.
that's pretty fast!! I'm hardly an engineer and it's honestly pretty late rn but I'm pretty handy at research. I hope this answered your questions!! I actually quite like asks like this, feel free to send others!!

Rekommenderas.
Vast of Night, the (2022) [👍] Månadens guldkorn.

Ocean Eyes: Chapter 7 (Orm Marius x Reader)
Masterlist Ao3
Ocean Eyes Masterlink
Summary:
[Orm Marius x Female Reader] [Orm Marius x You]
The ocean has always fascinated you - the ebb and flow of its water, the marine life in the sea and the wild and untamed beauty it exudes. Your attempts to explain this fascination have always fallen short. But when you meet Orm at the seaside one rainy day you find, that he just understands.  You offer to show him around since he is not from the city. And you are intrigued by his rather strange quirks and his regal demeanour.  After all, how could you not? When his eyes mirror the ocean itself, deep and incredibly blue. OR: You impress Orm with the surface world and he impresses you with his Atlantean cock
Wordcount: 4125
A/N: I wrote this while at rehab…the majority here is around 30 years older than me (but they all actually walk better so that's sad) ANYWAY: Yeay, Atlantis. This chapter is mostly fluff again - but don't worry … there will be more smut
Tumblr media
A few days later, you find yourself walking through your house, gathering your belongings in preparation for the journey ahead. The anticipation of the unknown stirs a blend of excitement and nervousness within you. As you move from room to room, folding clothes, securing personal items, and ensuring you have everything you might need, the realisation that you’re about to embark on a significant adventure settles in.
Orm, noticing your preparations, approaches with a warm smile. “Are you ready?” he asks, his eyes reflecting a shared eagerness for the journey ahead.
You meet his gaze, your own eyes alight with a mix of excitement and curiosity. “Yes, I’m ready. I can’t wait to see Atlantis,” you reply, the thrill of the unknown palpable in your voice.
Orm’s smile widens, and there’s a glint of enthusiasm in his eyes. “I’m excited for you to see it, to witness the beauty of my home. Atlantis is unlike anything on the surface, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.”
The prospect of exploring Atlantis, a mythical city hidden beneath the waves, adds an extra layer of anticipation to your excitement. The unknown wonders, the vibrant underwater world, and the unique culture of Orm’s homeland beckon, promising an experience beyond anything you’ve ever imagined.
“I’m really grateful for this opportunity, Orm,” you express, turning to him. “To see Atlantis and share this part of your life with me.”
Orm’s eyes hold a mixture of gratitude and affection. “It means a lot to me that you’re willing to explore this with me. Atlantis is more than just a city; it’s a part of who I am, and I want you to be a part of that, too.”
As the two of you stand in your living room, Orm reaches into a bag he had brought with him. From it, he produces a sleek and sophisticated device that looks like a piece of Atlantean technology.
“I thought you might need this,” Orm says, handing you the device. “We call it a ‘water suit’. It’ll allow you to breathe underwater and move freely.”
You take the water suit, examining the intricate design and advanced technology. It’s lightweight and streamlined, a testament to Atlantean craftsmanship. Gratitude fills your expression as you look up at Orm.
“Thank you,” you say, genuinely touched by his consideration. “This is incredible.”
Orm smiles, his eyes reflecting a genuine warmth. “It’s my pleasure. Atlantis is a place of wonders, and I want you to feel at home there. This water suit will ensure you can explore the depths with ease.”
With your belongings gathered, you and Orm make your way to the door, ready to step into the unknown together.
The two of you make your way to the beach where his Atlantean ship awaits. The sight of the vessel is nothing short of awe-inspiring, and you’re captivated by its appearance.
It resembles a magnificent fish, with two fins at the sides, each adorned with multiple blades and a sleek tail fin extending from the rear. The entire vessel is bathed in a stunning blend of bronze and gold hues, creating an otherworldly allure.
He gestures towards the Atlantean ship with a prideful smile, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of enthusiasm and fondness.
“This,” he begins, “is one of our high-speed Atlantean crafts. The design mimics the grace and speed of the ocean’s creatures.”
You marvel at the intricacies of the ship, its form unlike anything you’ve ever seen. The blades that make up the fins glint in the sunlight, creating an almost ethereal glow around the vessel. The dorsal fin, adorned with multiple blades, adds to the ship’s distinctive appearance.
You reach out to touch the smooth surface of it, marvelling at the craftsmanship. The blades that make up the fins feel cool to the touch, and the entire vessel seems to hum with a subtle energy.
“It’s beautiful,” you remark, your eyes still fixed on the Atlantean craft.
As you board the craft with Orm, he continues to share insights. “Atlantean technology combines functionality with artistry. The exterior is reinforced with materials unique to Atlantis, ensuring durability even in the depths of the ocean. And the interior is equipped with advanced systems for a comfortable and secure journey.”
Settling into the ship, you take in the surroundings. The interior seamlessly blends aesthetics with functionality. Intricate Atlantean symbols adorn the walls, casting an enchanting glow in the dim light. Orm, with a hint of amusement, points out various controls and panels, explaining their functions.
The hum of the engine fills the air as the craft comes to life.
Orm, seated beside you, his gaze lingering on your face. “It’ll take some time to reach Atlantis, but the journey is part of the experience. You’ll get to witness the beauty of the ocean depths as we travel,” he says, a genuine warmth in his voice.
The craft glides into the water with a seamless transition, and soon, you find yourself submerged beneath the waves.
The underwater world unfolds before your eyes, a mesmerising dance of marine life and vibrant coral reefs. As the ship propels forwards, you feel a sense of wonder and gratitude for the opportunity to explore this realm in a different way than before.
Orm, noticing the awe in your expression, smiles and squeezes your thigh softly. “Wait until you see Atlantis. It’s a sight like no other, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.”
_____
As the ship glides through the ocean depths, you gaze out of the transparent material that separates you from the incredible world outside. The water around the boat shimmers in a myriad of blues and greens, creating an ethereal dance of colours that captivates your marine biologist’s heart.
Orm, sitting beside you, points out various underwater wonders with evident pride. “Look there,” he says, his voice filled with admiration, “those are the illuminated gardens of the Brine Kingdom. Each glow is a different species of bioluminescent flora that thrives in the depths.”
You marvel at the ethereal beauty outside the ship’s transparent canopy. The gardens seem to dance with an otherworldly light, casting a magical glow that illuminates the surrounding waters. Schools of iridescent fish dart around, creating living tapestries of colour.
The ship continues its journey, and soon, the vast expanse of the sunken city comes into view - and it is a breathtaking spectacle of underwater grandeur.
The structures are built from living coral adorned with bioluminescent patterns that seem to pulse with the heartbeat of the ocean. The vibrant hues of coral create a mesmerising tapestry, and you can’t help but marvel at the harmonious blend of nature and Atlantean craftsmanship.
The city itself is a sprawling metropolis that seems to defy gravity, suspended in the water with otherworldly grace. Towers and spires extend into the ocean depths, their surfaces adorned with intricate carvings that tell the stories of generations past. The Atlantean architecture seamlessly integrates with the natural coral formations, creating a city that feels like an extension of the ocean itself.
As the ship glides closer to the heart of Atlantis, you catch glimpses of marine life that seem to coexist effortlessly with the Atlanteans. Schools of colourful fish swim alongside the ship, their scales glinting in the ambient light. Majestic seahorses and graceful dolphins playfully dart in and out of the city’s thoroughfares, adding to the enchanting spectacle.
The marine biologist in you is overwhelmed with awe at the diversity of aquatic life thriving in this underwater utopia. It’s a living, breathing ecosystem where Atlantean architecture seamlessly integrates with the natural environment, creating a balance that showcases the harmonious coexistence between the inhabitants and their surroundings.
Orm watches with pride as you take in the breathtaking scenery. His eyes reflect the wonder of someone who has seen this sight many times but still finds joy in sharing it with others.
When his eyes meet yours, he can see the awe and wonder in your expression, smiling at you.
“Welcome to Atlantis,” he says, his voice filled with a deep sense of belonging. “I hope you find its beauty as enchanting as I do.”
The ship descends further, and you’re surrounded by the bustling life of Atlantis. The Atlanteans, with their distinct features and iridescent attire, move with purpose through the city. The air is filled with a sense of energy and unity, and you can’t help but be moved by the sight of a society so deeply connected to the ocean.
Orm gestures towards the towering central spire, the heart of Atlantis. “That’s the Royal Palace, where the ruling council convenes. It houses the relics of our history and serves as a symbol of our unity.”
The ship passes through colossal gates adorned with Atlantean glyphs. The streets of Atlantis are bustling with activity, vibrant markets, and bustling thoroughfares filled with Atlanteans going about their daily lives.
You can’t help but be struck by the diversity of Atlantis. Different kingdoms, each with its own distinct architecture and culture, coexist harmoniously in this underwater metropolis.
The ship docks in a designated area, and you disembark with Orm into the heart of Atlantis. The city’s atmosphere is electric, a unique blend of tradition and innovation. As you walk through the bustling streets, the sights, sounds, and vibrant energy of Atlantis envelop you in a sensory symphony.
Orm, beside you, effortlessly navigates the water with a grace that captivates your attention. His every movement seems choreographed by the ocean’s currents, a dance between a skilled ruler and his boundless kingdom.
As you follow him through the underwater city, you can’t help but be mesmerised by the fluidity of his motions.
The play of light on his deep blue, tight, long-sleeved shirt with silver accents and tight blue pants accentuates the regal aura he exudes. The intricate patterns on his Atlantean attire shimmer like bioluminescent sea creatures, adding to the ethereal beauty of his presence.
Orm’s hair, once tousled by the surface winds, now flows in the water like strands of liquid silk. Each movement creates a delicate dance around him, responding to the gentle caress of the underwater currents. His eyes, a deeper shade of blue in this underwater realm, reflect the love he holds for his city and the sea.
This is who he is, where he belongs, and you find yourself in awe of him. He is already beautiful on land, but here, under the sea, he truly is a sight to behold.
Unable to resist, you reach out to touch the flowing strands of his hair. The tactile sensation is enchanting, the silkiness a testament to the purity of Atlantis’s waters. Orm turns to you, a smile playing on his lips.
His hand gently cups yours as he continues to lead the way through the underwater marvels of Atlantis. His eyes, filled with affection, convey a silent gratitude for your appreciation of his home.
As you and Orm enter the royal palace of Atlantis, the grandeur of the surroundings leaves you in awe. The intricate architecture, adorned with bioluminescent patterns, casts a mesmerising glow, creating an ambience of regality and history.
You gracefully traverse the intricacies of the ornate corridors within the royal palace, and Arthur emerges. His eyes light up with recognition upon catching sight of you, and a warm, welcoming smile graces his regal features.
“Hey there,” Arthur greets, his voice resonating with a friendly familiarity as he extends a hand in greeting, “It’s good to see you both.”
Orm responds with a nod, a tenderness evident in the way his gaze lingers on you.
“I was wondering when he’d bring you here,” Arthur teases, his tone light and playful. A subtle blush colours your cheeks as you steal a glance at Orm, who responds with an amused raise of his eyebrow.
Seizing the moment, Arthur takes the opportunity to playfully continue the banter. “Well then, let me show you around,” he suggests, gesturing for you to follow him through the resplendent corridors of the palace.
As Arthur becomes your guide, he weaves a narrative of the palace’s history, allowing the echoes of centuries past to reverberate through the grandeur of the architecture. The intricate blend of tradition and innovation in Atlantean design serves not only as a testament to their technological prowess but also as a vivid celebration of the profound connection the Atlantean people share with the ocean.
Arthur, with an air of casualness, drops a significant piece of information into the conversation.
“Our mother is also here today, brother,” he mentions, the casual tone belying the underlying significance. His eyes subtly shift toward you and Orm, leaving no doubt that her presence is connected to your arrival.
Orm has never talked much about his family, so you’re not sure what to make of this - if he even wants you to meet her.
Guided by Arthur you make your way to the throne room. The vast room is adorned with Atlantean glyphs and illuminated by the soft glow of bioluminescent crystals.
At the heart of the throne room, flanked by towering columns and shimmering tapestries, sits the imposing Atlantean throne. And there is a tall, imposing woman and you can only guess that this must be their mother.
Her gaze initially focused on the affairs of the kingdom, shifts to you and Orm. There’s a subtle warmth in her eyes as they meet yours, an unspoken acknowledgement of the significance of this meeting.
“Welcome to Atlantis,” she greets, her voice carrying a regal elegance that befits her status. “It’s a pleasure to have you here. I’m Atlanta.”
Atlanta’s graceful steps carry her towards Orm and you, the regal air surrounding her mirroring the commanding presence that Orm exudes.
The family resemblance between mother and son is undeniable, from the striking blue eyes to the light-hued hair, even if Atlanta’s is tinged with an almost ethereal shade of white.
She stops in front of Orm and wraps him in a tender embrace. Their deep connection is evident by the way they hold each other.
As they part from the embrace, there’s a brief exchange of glances, and you catch a flicker of pride in Atlanta’s eyes.
“Orm, my son,” Atlanta’s voice, regal and melodic, fills the space, “I am pleased to see you and to welcome you both to our home.”
Orm, still standing by your side, nods. “As am I, Mother. She is a significant part of my life.”
You feel a blush covering your cheeks at his words, and hearing him speak about you like that still catches you off guard.
Atlanta’s gaze shifts to you, and there’s a warmth in her eyes as she extends a welcoming nod and smiles, “I’m glad to finally meet you. I never thought my son would fall for a surface dweller.”
Part of you wants to tell her that your race doesn’t matter to either you or Orm, but you sense that she didn’t mean it in a bad way. The underlying meaning suggests that she is surprised that Orm finally made peace with the surface world.
So you offer a respectful nod and genuine smile in response, touched by the sincerity in Atlanta’s words.
Orm takes your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours, a subtle but reassuring gesture.
Atlanta smiles, the wisdom of an ageless ruler gleaming in her eyes, “Explore Atlantis, embrace its mysteries, and may the ocean guide you both on this journey.”
As you and Orm step out of the regal embrace of the throne room, the vibrant energy of Atlantis surrounds you once again. The intricacies of the palace architecture, the bustling activity of Atlanteans, and the ambient hum of underwater life create a tapestry of wonder.
Orm leads the way through a series of underwater passages, each adorned with bioluminescent patterns that seem to respond to his presence. The ambient light dances on his features, casting a mesmerising glow as you traverse the magnificent halls.
“Orm, that was incredible,” you express in awe, glancing around at the ethereal beauty that engulfs you.
He smiles, his eyes reflecting the pride of introducing you to his world. “This is just the beginning. There’s a place I want to show you, a hidden sanctuary accessible only to a few. It’s an air bubble, a haven which only the higher-borns have access. I thought it might be a unique experience for you.”
Intrigued, you follow Orm as he guides you through a series of concealed passages. The architecture becomes more intricate, and the surroundings subtly shift, indicating the exclusivity of the upcoming destination.
Finally, you arrive at an enchanting grotto adorned with shimmering corals and vibrant sea anemones. At the centre of the grotto, a translucent bubble of air encapsulates a pocket of atmosphere. It’s a surreal sight - a haven within the depths of the ocean.
Orm approaches a concealed entrance within the coral, activating an ancient Atlantean mechanism. The bubble shimmers for a moment before gently expanding to reveal a serene air-filled chamber. It’s a marvel - an oasis where the laws of the ocean seem suspended.
“This is it,” Orm explains, gesturing for you to step inside. “Here, the air is purified, and you can breathe as you would on the surface.”
You step into the bubble, and the transition from the aquatic environment to the breathable haven is seamless. The quiet ambience of the grotto soothes your senses, and the clarity of the air is refreshing as you feel your hair and clothes dripping with water.
“I come here when I seek solitude and reflection,” Orm confesses, his eyes holding a depth of emotions. “I thought you might appreciate the chance to experience a different facet of Atlantis.”
You glance around, marvelling at the surreal beauty of the hidden sanctuary, and your gaze naturally drifts towards Orm. The subdued glow of the grotto accentuates the wet sheen of his hair and clothes, droplets of water glistening like liquid diamonds against his form.
There’s a captivating allure in the way his attire clings to him, highlighting the contours of his muscular frame. The sight is both intimate and mesmerising, a testament to the fluidity of the environment you find yourselves in.
Orm, seemingly aware of your contemplation, meets your gaze with an affectionate smile. His eyes, still reflecting the depths of the ocean, hold a warmth that transcends the cool embrace of the aquatic surroundings.
“Is it strange to see me in this state?” Orm inquires playfully, running a hand through his wet hair, the strands being parted by his thick finger, clinging to them for a short moment. The droplets on his skin catch the bioluminescent glow, creating a subtle dance of light and shadow.
You chuckle, appreciating the genuine moment. “Not at all. Just appreciating the view.”
Stepping closer, Orm reaches out to gently cup your face, his thumb brushing away a stray drop of water with a tender touch.
“You’re part of this world now,” Orm murmurs, his voice carrying a resonance that resonates with a profound connection. “And I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
With the enchanting ambience of the air bubble surrounding you, Orm’s gaze deepens, and the affectionate smile transforms into a longing expression. His thumb continues to trace the contour of your face, a delicate touch that conveys a silent invitation.
In the quietude of this hidden sanctuary, Orm leans in, his lips meeting yours in a tender kiss. The taste is a mingling of saltwater and something uniquely him. The kiss is both gentle and fervent, a reflection of the depth of emotions that have blossomed between you.
When the kiss finally breaks, Orm rests his forehead against yours, his eyes reflecting a myriad of emotions. The underwater glow bathes you both in a soft, otherworldly light, creating a surreal backdrop for this moment of shared intimacy.
“Being with you here in Atlantis, it feels like a dream come true,” Orm admits, his voice a hushed murmur.
You smile, genuine and feel butterflies erupting in your stomach, “It does feel like a dream, Orm. A beautiful, surreal dream.”
With a gentle caress, Orm brushes his lips against yours once more.
As the kiss lingers, it deepens in intensity, a magnetic pull that draws you closer. Orm’s hands, now firmly cradling your face, guide the rhythm of the kiss.
Orm’s lips, once gentle, now press against yours with a hunger that mirrors the intensity of the emotions swirling between you.
His fingers weave through your hair, and the sensation is electric. His touch, both confident and tender, ignites a spark of desire that resonates deep inside you.
As the kiss deepens, it becomes a fusion of passion and vulnerability. Your hands find their way to his shoulders, fingers threading through his wet hair, pulling him closer.
The world outside the grotto fades away, leaving only the two of you locked in a tender exchange.
Orm’s kisses become a series of promises, a silent declaration of the emotions he holds for you.
You feel a surge of desire, an unspoken need to explore each other further. Your hands trace the lines of Orm’s torso, fingers dancing over the fabric of his shirt.
With a shared understanding, Orm breaks the kiss momentarily, allowing you to pull the wet fabric over his head. The underwater cave bathes him in a soft, bioluminescent glow, revealing the intricate play of light and shadow on his chiselled physique.
The gentle illumination accentuates the contours of his chest and the definition of his abdominal muscles. His bare upper body glistens in the soft glow of the surroundings.
Droplets of water cling to his skin, catching the ambient light like liquid diamonds. Before cascading down his chest, refracting the radiant hues of the grotto’s shimmering glow. The deep blue of his tight-fitting shirt is now replaced by the natural shades of his bare form, creating a mesmerising sight in the enchanted underwater sanctuary.
Orm’s eyes, dark and intense, lock onto yours as he allows you to explore, each touch tinged with the ethereal quality of the underwater world. The play of light on his damp skin heightens the intimacy, turning this moment into a dance of desire.
As you run your fingers along the expanse of his chest, you marvel at the strength and grace encapsulated in his physique. While it isn’t the first time you’ve touched him, it certainly feels different - more profound and more intimate.
Orm’s hands find their place on your waist before they move to explore the contours of your torso. The touch is delicate yet fervent, his fingers tracing a path along the curve of your spine.
With a tender gaze, Orm communicates his unspoken yearning, and in a fluid motion, he begins to lift your shirt. The fabric clings momentarily to your skin, accentuated by the water.
The grotto’s soft glow plays upon the exposed skin, illuminating the contours of your form. Orm’s eyes, filled with a potent combination of desire and admiration, linger on the canvas of your bare upper body.
Orm’s fingers explore the canvas of your bare skin with exquisite tenderness as his hands trace patterns along your torso.
His gaze, a reflection of unspoken emotions, holds yours with an unwavering intensity, and Orm’s lips find yours once again. The kiss, now more fervent, echoes with the rhythms of the underwater sanctuary.
As the kiss deepens, you lose yourself in the rhythmic dance of passion, and his fingertips leave a trail of warmth in their wake.
When Orm’s lips part from yours, the magnetic pull between you remains palpable, your breath coming out in short puffs. His eyes, now darkened with desire, hold an unspoken promise of more to come.
In the soft light of the grotto, Orm’s hands become an extension of his unspoken desires. Fingers, capable and dexterous, trace invisible patterns on your damp skin. The play of light on his skin highlights the intricate details - the veins beneath the surface, the subtle flex of tendons - that collectively paint a portrait of strength and sensuality.
As your eyes trace the lines of his bare upper body, a sense of awe washes over you. The underwater light casts an almost celestial aura around him, turning the cavern into a sacred space where the beauty of Atlantis is embodied in the form of Orm. The water, a conductor of both light and desire, magnifies the allure of the Atlantean prince.
In the embrace of the cave, the ethereal glow becomes a canvas, accentuating the allure of Orm’s bare upper body. It’s a sight to behold, a convergence of strength and vulnerability, as he stands before you - a living testament to the majesty of Atlantis and the depths of the connection you now share beneath the waves.

Tw: explosions, abandonment?, some angst, reader is 5′9, no description except for gills on the neck, reader understand the Metkayina because they’re technically fish, reader is a teen.
Author’s note: Long ago someone had asked about a Atleantan reader, well, here it is, I hope you like it! ^^ I also came up with a story about how the reader ended up with the Metkayina. Sorry that it’s short, I wasn’t able to squeeze out other stuff to add :( sorry, I’ll do a part two, I’ll hear any suggesting on the comments.
Masterlist
You had no idea how you got there. You had completed a mission with your team and now you were headed back to earth on your small ship, but something had happened. You had lost your team, and you had to make an emergency landing. If you didn’t then you would have blown up with your ship. Once you manage to get out of the ship right as it blew up. The impact of the explosion had made you fall into the water, pretty hard and your head got hit by a rock, leaving you unconscious.
The Metkayina were doing there daily tasks, fishing, hunting and other things in the ocean. Two men had been out fishing, when they had collected the net with the fish, but they notice the net was heavier. They thought they had caught a lot of fish this time, they decided to check and they found you. Unconscious, they checked if you were breathing first which you were, then they took you back to the Village.
The men had brought you to Ronal, she asked where they found you and they said that they caught you with their net while fishing. Once alone with you, she began her ritual into waking you up. She did not miss how your neck had gills and your outfit matched the scales of a fish. After a little while, you had woken up, being met by Ronal who had been finished with the ritual. You looked at her, you had never seen anyone like her, you have different kinds of humanoid fish, but never her. “Hello” you said, still feeling dizzy. Then her a man with tattoos on his face had come in along with two kids.
That’s when the questions came in. “Who are you and where are you from?” was what Tonowari asked. “I am y/n, I am from Atlantis” you had said, now Ronal asking “where is that?” then you responded “a city under the sea on earth. I was on a mission with my team, but I lost them and my ship exploded.” You said. “That explains the gills on your neck?” she asked, as you nodded. “I live underwater, all I ask is to stay, only for a bit until I am able to communicate with my team, that’s all I ask” you had said, both Tonowari and Ronal looked at each other for a moment. Then turned back to you. “Of course, but only if you learn to be like us” they said in which you agreed.
Your lessons began the next day, you had basically knee how to swim and you already had gills, so you can be underwater for a while. They thought you sign their sign language, in which you learned very fast.
Besides lessons, they also learned stuff about you. How you are able to control water and are able to communicate with the sea life.
You mostly wore your Atlantic attire, until Tsireya had showed you how to weave your own clothes with materials. Once you got a hang of it, you had began to dress like the rest of the na’vi.
You had also learned on how to wield a spear, it wasn’t any different like back home. Everything you had learn was almost the same like back home but different.
They had found out when Ao’nung had spotted you, talking to Swimswim. He thought it was weird so he asked you about, you told him that you’re able to communicate with sea life.
The other time was that you were in the ocean, playing with the water, this time was Tsireya who had caught you. She had be asking you loads of questions about how you are able to do that.
One time that you had been racing under water with Ao’nung, Tsireya and Rotxo. They had been beating you, until you had used your water powers into pushing you further from them and into the beach. They had claimed you cheated and it wasn’t fair since you had powers. You just acted as if you didn’t know what they were talking about.
Ronal and Tonowari noticed how you basically just went with the flow. You were basically the definition of water. They saw you as one of them honestly, you just did not look like them.
You had hoped that your team would come looking for you, but they just never came, they must have assumed you were dead since your ship had blown up and lost you.
You had hoped they’d come for you, but a long time has passed that you just gave up. You had a feeling that they were not coming to get you.
Tsireya and Ao’nung had told you about the sea life here, while you had told them about the sea life at home.
You had heard about the Tulkun, when you met them, they reminded you just like the humpback whales from earth. They were just like them, when the Tulkun had returned, you saw how different yet similar they were to the whales back home.
You had met Tsireya’s spirit sister along with Ao’nung, Rotxo, Tonowari and Ronal. You had been able to communicate them in both sign language and through your powers.
You also had bonded with a Tulkun of the name Unyor, she was a very kind Tulkun like the rest. When Ronal and Tonowari had found out that you had bonded with a her, they now saw you as one the people.
You had received a tattoo on your chin and Unyor got a tattoo on the bottom of her snout. In a way you were now a part of the Metkayina. Ronal and Tonowari had adopted you into their family. This made you feel as if you belonged with them, yes you were not a na’vi but they saw past that.
That day you had been feeling down, you couldn’t explain why, you just did. You wondered how everyone was doing back home. You wondered if they had wondered were you were of if they even thought you were still alive.
Ronal and Tonowari took notice of this, seeing that you had been distracted. That night once everyone went to sleep, you were still up, unable to sleep. So you went to sit out in front of the opening to think.
Both Ronal and Tonowari saw you sitting out, so they decided to go talk to you. “What is on your mind?” Ronal had asked, sitting down on your left and Tonowari sat on your right.
“I don’t know, it’s just that... I’ve been thinking about back home... how everyone is doing...” you admitted looking down. Then Tonowari rubbed your back comfortingly.
“It’s okay” he said as you looked up at him, your eyes filled with years. “Sometimes I feel out of place, as if... I’m not in the ocean you could. I don’t look like any of you.” You admitted, looking down again.
“It doesn’t matter how you look like, you had showed to everyone that you’re a Metkayina. Yes you may not look like us, but you are like us.”
Ronal said pulling you into a side hug and wiped your tears away from your face. This time Tonowari spoke. “Listen child, you are one of us, Ronal is right, you had shown everyone that you are like us” he said stroking your hair.
“Another thing, if your team does come to get you, you really think we’ll let you go that easily? You are our daughter now” he said making you smile.
“He is right, we are not just going to hand you over to them.” Ronal said with a smile, she looked pretty when she did. You stayed like this for a bit, sitting between
Ronal and Tonowari for a little longer. Since that talk, you didn’t feel like that again. You felt better, knowing you now had a family that cared about you.

Fic Idea Adoption!
i have way too many ideas for fics and i know i won't ever get around to writing them all so i'm putting some ideas up for adoption!! i may or may not write these eventually, but they're too good of ideas to leave sitting in my notes app forever, so i'm releasing them to the void! anyone and everyone is welcome to use them, and feel free to be as ambiguous with the prompts as you want! no particular order but nsfw ideas are at the bottom for anyone who wants to avoid them!
(if you do use any of these, i would love to read the fic!! you definitely do not have to but please feel free to send me anything you write off this list!!)
-john takes rodney to earths moon
-john and rodney find the ancient equivalent of speed. they do Everything
-au where ronon gets earth to repeal dadt bc john tells him it's why he can't be with rodney and ronon goes I Must Fix This (he enlists teyla and lorne and maybe cadman)
-rodney asks ronon to go with john to earth (outcast coda)
-rodney goes on bill nye saves the world after stargate declassification
-evans biggest fear is having to shoot john (and maybe getting a promotion bc of it?) and john finds out
-rodney’s ‘torture too hideous and intimate to recount’ is him being tortured, just for them to realize that torturing his team is a better way to break him
-teyla living out ‘the chosen one’ trope
-what happens to sora after the eye
-au where meredith(female!rodney) comes to atlantis instead of rod and not only is rodney horribly disturbed, he’s furious (and strangely confused) as to why everyone apparently likes him more as a woman
-todd is weirdly obsessed with this strange human he meets, and is determined to get closer to him
-the team is most excited about catching up with todd when they get the confirmation atlantis is going back to pegasus
-everyone complains about rodney’s moods bc no one can complain about the infinitely worse in every way sheppard bad moods, that make everyone on the base wish they were on a hive ship being eaten by two wraith at once
-au where ronon ends up on athos at the same time the wraith come and he sneaks through the gate with the intention of just sneaking away on the next planet but whoops it’s atlantis (ronon pov)
-rodney keeps a memorial for every single scientist lost in his lab and radek shows it to new scientists who start complaining about rodney not caring and risking their lives
-reaper au where’s he’s fed the fuck up with these two stupid men who never actually die when they’re supposed to and it’s more annoying than anything now bc he still needs to show up
-au carson comes to atlantis and is HORRIFIED by becketts retrovirus research and the hoffan drug bc “does the hippocratic oath mean NOTHING here???”
-au where rodney can’t admit to himself what john means to him, until something happens that brings all the alternate rodney’s that have lost their johns to atlantis, and they all fall apart when they see john alive, and john and rodney have to have a Conversation (mcshep? maybe ambiguous? idk yet)
-rodney sees john as three separate entities: the Colonel, who is Professional Important Official Man; sheppard, who is his friend/team lead that he hangs out with and goes on missions with; and john, who he’s always seeming to have very intimate moments with that make him question a lot of how he feels
-early days in the city, elizabeth is sick of the marines shitting on the scientists for not being tough and the scientists for shitting on the marines for not being smart so she makes them try to solve a fake crisis from the other side and everyone is like aww shit this is harder than it looks
-that thing where tough men pretend they don’t care much about someone but then the person gets hurt and Tough Guy go a little feral and then holds them close and whisper pet names (sweetheart, baby, darling, etc) but it’s john and/or ronon after rodney gets injured
-the more important something is to john, the harder it is for him to talk about it, and rodney starts to realize how hard it is for john to talk about what rodney means to him
-a bunch of au sheppards get brought to atlantis and one on them is terrified of flying
-rodney has always said biology was beneath him, but then ford almost died, and was… different, from the wraith. and rodney knew he had to find a way to help ford, maybe find a way to fix his mental problems while keeping the physical benefits. rodney and carson find a way to save ford and sheppard is so thankful he kisses them both
nsfw ideas:
-ronon suggests some planets for trading when they get low on supplies that have an interesting trade system. it seems too good to be true and they wonder why telya hasn't taken them until they find out that they trade goods for sex
-au where john is hired as a spy for atlantis and he seduces people in pegasus to get intel for the city
-sometimes rodney just grabs john (by the hair, throat, back of the neck, chin, etc) and asks who he belongs to and john instantly melts
-rodney decides to be a tease on a mission and teyla and ronon think mckay is just really pissing sheppard off when he pulls mckay away for “privacy” but really he’s just super horny and wants to fuck (or, teyla and ronon don’t realize that their fighting is foreplay)

I’m still not done. I’m at the 5hr mark, it has taken me three days and more than 30 pages of notes to be nearing the end of this finale. I just want to take it in. But one more comment. One moment from that last battle that struck me. This one:
Brennan: On a 16, you must make a tough decision. Do you want to further limit the release of energy, and make the release of energy safer for the physical environs of Avalir and Cathmoira, or do you want to ensure that Rau’Shan and Ka’Mort will be permanently banished from Exandria?
Aabria: Laerryn’s little joke to herself was always that the Heart of Avalir was the thing she inherited but it was too small. She made it bigger, she improved it. She improved the Etheric Net, and built this, and that she was the Heart of Avalir, and she gave everything to this city. But I know what people are fighting to protect and I remember what Quay said about going down with the ship. So. We will ensure it. This will work. Avalir be damned.
Brennan: Avalir be damned. No more mistakes. The names are locked into place. You inscribe the final syllables of the list of all the hundreds of names that Patia learned. They’re fixed into the crystal. This cannot miss.
I want to just … I’m going to bring you all back to one of my favourite movies as a kid, and probably my favourite Disney movie ever, Disney’s Atlantis. There’s a moment in that movie (spoilers) when their massive steampunk submarine is attacked by an absolutely titanic alien leviathan machine, and they’ve been grappled and punctured in its claws. It’s a battle they can’t win, and it will be over in minutes. There is this one second shot of Audrey, the ship’s teenage genius engineer, running through the sub’s flooding corridors and closing a bulkhead door while there’s visibly still a crewman running for it on the other side. Because the one thing that cannot happen is the water hitting the boilers and basically vaporising the ship, and she needs those bulkheads to buy as much time as possible. So, in this split-second shot, she makes this absolutely incredible, awful, stone cold decision to seal this one crewman’s fate to buy the rest of the crew more time.
I want to repeat that this is a Disney movie, and this moment isn’t even commented on. Atlantis has an absolutely amazing body count for a Disney movie that isn’t Mulan (incidentally, also one of my favs). Nobody mentions this moment. But it’s the still moment that struck kid!me most strongly in the entire movie, and I love this entire movie.
Audrey, this tough, mouthy, funny, amazing character, this teenage genius engineer in charge of the most advanced steampunk submarine the surface world had ever produced, made the split-second horrific choice to seal a screaming man’s fate to save as many people as possible.
Laerryn: I remember what Quay said about going down with the ship. So. We will ensure it. This will work. Avalir be damned.
The rest of the cast have already done everything that can be done to get people out, by air, by teleport, by tree. They’ve done everything they can. Avalir is overrun. Cathmoira is hopefully being fully evacuated while the devils stand down. As many crew as possible have gotten out that bulkhead door. But the water is hitting the boilers. We have less than 12 seconds. There is no saving this ship. And maybe we can save the rest of the world.
So Laerryn closes the bulkhead door. Because she’s the only one who can. Because she is the Architect Arcane, and this is her city, and this is her Leywright, and Laerryn has always been the most stone cold, goal-orientated person in the room. In any room. She doesn’t hesitate, because there is no time.
The same damned, hellbound determination that got them into this mess is going to get them out, because the Leywright will work. It was always going to work. She cannot save her city, she cannot undo what they have caused, she cannot put the betrayers back in their box. But she will be damned if they use her city and her work and her life to bring through anything else.
They thought they could come to an Age of Arcanum city, with its Architect Arcane in the full of her powers, and use that city further without her express permission?
No bitch. This Emperor and Empress are going on an expressway flight off this fucking plane no matter who likes it or not.
Kid!me was in heartbroken awe watching Audrey in Atlantis.
And adult!me is in awe watching Laerryn.
I suppose what I’m trying to say here is that Laerryn was always going to be my favourite. Nydas snuck up to probably be joint first, and I’ve been in constant fucking awe of everyone these entire last two episodes. But Laerryn was always going to be my favourite.

Random small-scale Bionicle AU ideas; feel free to ask what your blorboes (or canon-set OCs, provided you explain what their Thing™ is) are doing in each:
Golf (Turaga-centric AU where they all play golf; side-stuff features the Toa Mahri working at a Crazy/Mini-Golf place.)
Bowling-alley (I think I already posted about this ages ago, but I'm bringing it up again to add some context; it's set in a pseudo-80s world, but everyone's still a biomechanical thing. The Metru and Hagah are the staff, Helryx is the manager, and everybody else are the regular bowlers.)
Age of Sail (technically-a-morality-swap pirate AU; the Makuta are further towards the "lawful" edge of the morality-grid, the (non-evil) Toa are more like Robin Hood figures, and the Dark Hunters and Piraka are more traditional pirates. The Red Star is a ghost-ship crewed by the dead, and Spherus Magna is basically Atlantis.)
Superhero (Human AU offshoot where all the regions are modern-day cities and everyone wears modern clothing; the Toa, Order Of Mata Nui etc. are superheroes, and the various antagonists are supervillains.)
Battle of the Bands (another Human AU offshoot, where the Toa Teams and other factions are bands in a mundane setting, and all the major conflicts are formatted as the eponymous style of contest; the main story is set contemporarily to the respective story-arc's out-of-universe storyline, with relevant musical genres (e.g the Inika are an indie-rock band in 2006, facing off against the Piraka, who are a rap-metal band), and the Metru Nui flashbacks take place in the mid-1980s (with the Toa Metru being a New wave act).)
Reversal (AU where the Magnans live in the GSR and the MU characters live on Bara Magna.)
Broken Mirror (basically just Transformers: Shattered Glass but Bonkle,)
Steam-Age (Bionicle, but in a world where the Magnan society was in the aesthetic and technological equivalent of the mid-to-late 1800s; Bota Magna is a large industrialised city, and Bara Magna is essentially the Wild West. Metus is a literal snake-oil salesman. Some areas of the Matoran Universe has progressed past this a bit, with Metru Nui being Art Deco and having Dieselpunk technology.)
MMORPG (yet another Human-AU spinoff, this time with the characters playing characters resembling their canon selves in a popular MMORPG.)
YA Dystopia ("what if Bionicle was an early-mid 2010s Young-Adult dystopian novel?")
Detective Takua (Takua but as a Poirot-meets-Columbo detective in an early-mid 20th century-flavoured world that coincidentally happens to be shaped like a jumbled-up version of the Matoran Universe; showing up unannounced/coincidentally happening to be at the Big Isolated Mansion™, Large Isolated Boat® or Vaguely-Mediterranean Island©, being very friendly to literally everyone there while also using his... Takua-ness(?) to disarm potential subjects and try to catch them out. Also Kapura is there sometimes.)

Campaign settings I'd like to see more of!
Atlantis! I'd love to see more underwater creatures, kingdoms, societies and cultures! Give me somewhere we can finally put sea elfs, sirens and tritons to good use! Make a kingdom that was submerged by water that is now threatened by pollution or some wild magic that the Surface is doing! Give me underwater magic! Give me Sea Sorcerers!!
Greek Polis! Show me how the Gods would react to mortals as powerful as them. Show me Spartans that refuse to use magic in their armies, give me Athens that uses magic to progress. Show me magic ships and the minotaur terrorizing everyone!! Give me Athena's Paladins and Hestia's Clerics!!
MAGIC. SCHOOLS. C'mon, guys, put Strixhaven to use!! Adapt it for middle schoolers and teens!! Give me novice wizards that have no idea how to use their powers, give me an enormous school that has so many hidden places and creatures that not even the founder knows about. Give me kids being kids while doing FUCKING MAGIC!! Do you know how feral kids would be if they could conjure fire at will?? BRING. THE. CHAOS.
Volcano Dungeons. Make that pyromaniac sorcerer freak out when their fireball has no effect anymore. Take the Fire Plane to their level, make it the most hot and dangerous dungeons. Get a active volcano and they have to run agaisnt the clock to get out before getting thrown out with a bunch of deadly magma and lava.
Defend the Temple. This time your players are on the other side of the story, they have to defend their temple from invasors. Give me Native Empires that are fueled by anger and grief and they are finally getting their revenge. Give me Aztec Gods, give me Inca culture, bring the Mayas back to life. Show the deadliest creatures from tropical forests, give me the Amazon's most fantastic animals (that might not be completely fantasy in the end)
Post-apocalyptic medieval cities! Show me abandoned castles, ruins old as time. How the fields and feuds were reclaimed by nature, how magic build up and took down empires. Give me beasts that are no longer recognizable from zoology books, give me fiends that have gathered thousands of souls from desperation. Show me forests that grew from the foundation of temples and building that were not touched again by nature, deemed evil.
Please hit me up If you want an extended version of any of these!

Soft Moments in the Stars
Tumblr media
Sam Coe x GN! Reader
GN! Reader. No pronouns, no use of Y/N, or reader descriptions used.
Anxiety, worry, some fear (Sam is there to comfort you and calm you down). Comfort, breathing exercises, reassurance.
Staring out into the stars, while everyone sleeps, your mind starts to worry. Sam notices you're awake and stays up with you.
Characters: Sam Coe. Mentions of Cora Coe, Sarah, Barrett, and Andreja.
Haha, bet you didn't expect another so soon! This is short. But I really needed it. Now that the poll requests are done, I can get into the heavier more plot related stuff >:) (Aka: my sad era)
Tumblr media
Staring up at the stars, what a primal instinct it’s been for all of humanity since the dawn of creation. The unknown, the curiosity, the wonder in it. How long have humans been looking up at the night sky? And how many of your ancestors have done just the same; sitting, staring, and questioning?
What’s out there? How do you fit in to any of it? In this vast field of stars, of people, of planets—why are you the one to go on this cosmic journey?
New Atlantis had too much light pollution to look up and stargaze at night. Akila city had too much dust and sand in the air. But now, in the cockpit of the Frontier, the entire universe stretches out for your curious, pondering eyes.
Quiet moments, when everyone is asleep and the ship drifts across the blackest sea, are rare. It’s an opportunity to sit and really think. At times, maybe the constant hustle and bustle from place to place, mission to mission, is good. It’s a distraction, that much is clear. The lively conversations among your crew, Sarah jotting down notes about unexplored systems, Cora with her enthusiastic book reports—is comforting.
You may not always have them. It may be, in time, this quiet, contemplative silence is all you have left.
It’s a chilling, anxiety-ridden truth that you’ve been forced to think of more and more. Especially now.
With every new temple you discover, every new power you gain, a rift grows between you and the others. There’s a distinct feeling to it.
Sarah and Noel look at you like you’re something to be studied. Barrett uses constant humor and jokes to cover his nervousness. Andreja feels threatened by the power imbalance.
Only Sam continues to treat you the same.
Sam—wonderful, optimistic, loving, Sam.
Your shining light in the dark.
Every outcome is uncertain, but his promises of staying with you—always being at your side, no matter what—is a comfort unlike anything else.
A long-winded sigh leaves you. Your mind can’t help but wander into the worst-case scenarios or worry about the unknown. If these temples turn you into some kind of monster… what then? If your destiny takes you on a different path than his, how can you see it coming? Could you even prevent it?
What about Cora? Will she grow up without you? Her own path taking her elsewhere?
Is this all for nothing? Is this endless space an indifferent, uncaring, void that only seeks to be filled with violence—
Soft hands caress your tense shoulders. “Hey. What’re you doing up?”
Like a light switch being flipped, the anxious, spiraling thoughts cease. A lucid calm washes over you.
You lean back in your pilot’s seat, feeling the warmth of Sam behind you. “Couldn’t sleep.” You murmur.
He hums softly, leaning down closer to you. “What’s bothering you, sweetheart?”
“It’s hard to say.”
“Hmm…” He presses soft kisses to your shoulder, gently kneading the other. “Describe how you’re feeling.”
“Frustrated. I guess. I have so many questions.”
His thumbs move to massage between your shoulder blades. “I can tell, you’re very tense.”
This makes you chuckle, a breathy and tired sound. You can feel his short beard against your neck. His lips ghost over your skin. “Come back to bed, we can work some of that frustration out.”
A very tempting offer. Other nights you would happily accept to be whisked away in his arms, forget everything, and curl up next to him to start a new day. But something stops you.
He can feel your hesitation. His lips hover and his hands pause.
“It’s…It’s not just that…” You frown at the stars. Sam’s faint reflection in the glass watches you with caring, patient eyes.
“I’m…I’m scared—terrified, actually.” As if a great floodgate opens, you release your thoughts into the still air. “I don’t know what’s coming next; I rely on Constellation to have at least some idea of what we’re getting into. Seeing Sarah and Noel just as confused as I am…it’s really unsettling. These temples and powers…what if they change me into someone—or something—unrecognizable?”
Your breath quickens. “I don’t know what to do. There’s so much responsibility on my shoulders now, it’s all so sudden. What if I screw up? What if I get someone hurt—what if I get you hurt? Or if I make the wrong choice and—”
“Whoa, whoa. Easy. Take a deep breath.”
You do, filling your lungs just as he does, as he guides you along.
In and out. Slow. In and out.
Your heart calms, just a little, but your racing thoughts still tumble around your mind. “Thanks.” You whisper, leaning your head back against his shoulder and closing your eyes.
“Stand up. I wanna hold you.”
His hands guide you out of the chair, sliding under your arms and around you like a safety net. Your hands lay over his. They’re always so warm, while yours are always cold.
His body presses against yours, flooding you with his warmth, face nuzzling into the crook of your neck. He murmurs into your skin. “It’s alright. I’ve got you. I will always be with you.” His fingers tangle with yours, smooth and practiced.
“It’s natural to make mistakes—and it’s not your fault. You’re learning just like the rest of us. There’s no way you can predict the future, so go easy on yourself. Making mistakes is human.” He trails light kisses up your neck to the shell of your ear. “As for everything else—we take it one step at a time, together. If something doesn’t feel right, we can adjust or take a break. Don’t push yourself. The universe isn’t going anywhere.”
Tears dot the corner of your eyes as you smile and nod. Your voice is barely a whisper. “Thanks, Sam.”
“Anytime, love.”
You take some more steadying breaths, feeling your lungs fill and empty out rhythmically. “You always know exactly what to say.”
He chuckles, his breath is warm against your skin. “I know you, and I know how it feels to be weighed down by anxious thoughts.”
After a few more minutes of watching the stars, feeling your mind slow and your thoughts ease, “I think I’m ready for bed now.”
“You sure? I can give you some more time alone if you need it.”
“Nah.” You turn in his arms to face him, wrapping your arms around his neck. You’re greeted with the softest blue eyes and a loving smile. “I’m good now.”
Sam presses his forehead to yours. “I love you. You know that right?”
“Of course.” You press a soft, lingering kiss to the corner of his mouth. “I love you too.”
His content, happy, sigh—one of your favorite noises—lifts your heart out of the gloom.

Say hello to hadaltale y’all!!
To explain the name: the hadal zone is areas of the ocean in deep trenches that lie between 6,000 to 11,000 meters.
The hadal monsters as you can expect, are all completely aquatic! After the barrier spell by the mages who tried to trap monsters during the Great War went wrong, the whole planet was flooded. The hadal monsters have only stone tablets as records of this, and they’re very vague. They believe at one point that their people may have been surface dwellers, but those days have long passed
Over time the monsters who survived on ships slowly evolved to better handle an ocean life, becoming stronger swimmers, being able to breathe water, and eventually abandoning ships all together to live in the ocean forever. Hadal monsters became master stone masons, carving into the rock of the ocean floor to make their homes, and taking advantage of deep trenches and cavern systems. To handle the harsh water pressure, these monsters became larger and stronger overtime at the expense of their magical output. Hadal monsters have incredible physical strength and durability, but lower magical output than the majority of surface monsters.
After the crash, the hadal monsters were first discovered by the sea AUs, then the sea monsters bridged the gap between the hadal and surface AUs. Hadal monsters cannot breathe air. But the royals were determined to unite all monsters and the hadal royals agreed easily with this goal. It took five years after the crash, but finally a spell was found that would allow a hadal monster to safely breathe and travel on land for up to three hours at a time. Work is still being done to increase this.
In turn, the second biggest city of ebott, jokingly named Atlantis by Asgore who has no imagination, lies slightly west of seashore. Atlantis is mostly underwater of course. But parts of it are on the surface and the surf on float in buildings. The city is built into the rocky cliffs of ebott, and the hadal monsters have drilled further into the ground for their own living spaces. There’s even a tunnel to waterfall that they created
And now, to introduce the siblings!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pearl (hadaltale sans)
Technically she was never named “sans”. Pearl was always named Pearl. She’s small for a hadal monster, only six feet long, and her lower half resembles that of an octopus. She’s a skeletal hadal monster aged 50 with a blue magic. She has the third eye characteristic of the royal family. She’s considered absolutely gorgeous by hadal standards because of her smooth tentacles and soft looking face and body.
Pearl is a gentle and affectionate soul. Pearl was raised as royalty and has a strong sense of duty from her upbringing. She has lovely manners. She’s a bit skittish at times though, and has a lot of anxiety over trying new things. She tends to cling to those she deems safe. She has very little experience with the surface
As one of the princes lined up to potentially take their place, pearls duties lie in management. She organizes events for Atlantis, manages finances, and spends a lot of time in the records hall. She has a reputation among the hadal princes for hosting the best meetings due to her budgeting skills
Hadal monsters didn’t summon weapons normally until it became part of ebotts curriculum. Pearl missed this part of her education and never learned to make one, nor does she care to
Pearls special ability is cloaking! She can change the color of her bones and tail to match the colors of whatever behind her. Unfortunately her eyes do not change with the rest of her
Things she loves: seashell accessories! Head wrappings, any sort of hat really, she has a collection. Fine jewelry, swing music, black and white movies, fancy chocolates, chicken nuggets, watching races and jousts, stargazing, floral and coral arrangements, interior design, the color coral pink, lily pad flowers
Silex (hadaltale papyrus)
Technically not a papyrus, as his name was always silex. Silex is a hadal monster aged 44 and 7’3 feet long. His lower half resembles a spiny eel with lovely sea green ecto to match his eyes. He has the third eye characteristic of the royal family.
Silex is a confident monster. He’s quite outgoing and friendly, making him a natural leader in any friend group. He has an eye for the shy weak ones in the group and tends to focus on them. He has a strong sense of duty being raised in the royal family. He can be overconfident at times though, believing he can achieve unrealistic goals, and his family often has to being him back down to earth.
As one of the princes lined up to potentially take his parents place, silex’s duties lie mostly in management. He has a good eye for people and is often in charge of hiring and managing the employees of Atlantis’ court as well as managing their work. He is also often taken to business deals.
Despite being aged out by the time magic weapons were made a requirement for graduates, silex still learned to make one. His weapon is a long rapier. It’s a sleek and simple weapon. He wants to add more to it someday though
Silex’s special ability is electricity! When grabbed, he can produce electric currents around his body injuring and scaring off would be foes! Thankfully the electricity doesn’t seem to travel far, shocking every one else around him. He has very good control of his magic
Things he loves: the color silver, interesting metal weapons, racing and jousts, surfing, exploring the surface, sushi, HARD LIQUOR, watching spars on TV, jasmines, not wearing clothes, electro swing
Side characters
Titanic: hadal Asgore, titanic is the father of Pearl and silex and the main royal of the hadal. Titanic was the driving force between uniting his monsters and the surface and encourages his people all the time to reach out and explore. He’s a very curious and passionate monster with a love for all things new
Olympia: hadal toriel, the mother of Pearl and silex and the monster who fathered them. Olympia is the second royal of the hadal monsters and is an affectionate but proud character. She agrees with titanics desire to combine their people with the surface dwellers but is more cautious than him. She will integrate as long as she’s convinced her people benefit from each deal.
Voyager: hadal gaster, the second father of Pearl and silex, voyager is the mate of titanic and Olympia, and first in line to replace one as a royal if anything had ever happens. Voyager was the parent to carry Pearl and silex of course, and has a very close relationship with the two as well as his other kids. Voyager is a reserved but highly intelligent monster, and was the one who discovered a way to safely bring power to the areas of Atlantis beneath the surface. He always jokingly laments that none of his kids enjoy science the way he does
And the siblings in order from oldest to youngest
Angler (goat): aged 140, angler is the oldest prince and the first child of the royal trio. She was carried by voyager and fathered by Olympia. Angler is a strong aggressive but loyal monster with a tail resembling that of an angler fish.

Why San Francisco is the worst possible place to park a giant flying city ship: A critical analysis
This is incredibly specific and pedantic, but it bothers me. So now I will bother you.
A lot of people, me included, didn't like the thought of Atlantis sitting in San Francisco Bay at the end of the series. Most fix-it fics center around getting the city back to the Pegasus Galaxy. Joe Malozzi said that they eventually parked Atlantis on the moon, which, yeah, right. Never mind.
But apart from the emotional knee-jerk reaction of "WRONG" to have her just hanging out off the coast of California, it's also wildly impractical. Here's why.
Tumblr media
We know canonically that the tallest spire of Atlantis is 800 meters tall. From that, people have estimated the width and length of the city to be anything between 3.6 and 5 kilometers. Let's say 4 km on the conservative side.
Tumblr media
From this screenshot, they're not in San Francisco bay, but outside, looking in. The ocean is at their backs.
Tumblr media
See where it says "Golden Gate" in the ocean just before the bridge? That's approximately their location, maybe a bit further out - but not as far out as Point Bonita. The bay is 4 km wide at its widest point. Meaning that if you plop down a city, it will completely block the entryway to San Francisco bay and displace enough water to flood the north and south shores. Forget cloaking. There are hundreds of cruise ships, container ships, tourist boats and smaller vessels in that shipping lane every day. Cloak all you want, after five minutes the first fishing trawler is gonna go "BONK" and they'll have some explaining to do.
Tumblr media
The view towards the bridge. If they decloaked, the view would be completely blocked.
So, in conclusion, keeping her there for any longer than a week (in which you would have to suspend ALL ship traffic and probably close the air space too because of the spires) would lead to the need to disclose it.
(Then again, we've seen how the internet reacts to disclosure - there would be memes and some half-hearted Twitter threads and then we'd move on to the next thing. Heh.)
I know it was basically an emergency landing, but oof, at least park her 10 km further outside?
The best fanfic I have read when it comes to logistics of getting the city back is A Place of Safety by McParrot. The focus is on John and his recovery after a failed first attempt to retake the city, but there is so much great planning in the background. It really shows what an undertaking it would be to plan a heist like that under the eyes of the IOA. The story ends before their attempt, but on a very hopeful note.
[If anyone knows good fics where they steal Atlantis back and return home, hook me up!]

*Big One Piece Spoiler ahead*
I'm currently watching this show which aired in 1982 and ran for like a year, called "Mysterious Cities of Gold". It's quite an old series and very hard to find. Over the past couple of years many fans tried to upload it on various sites all over the internet but for some reason or the other, the show was taken out only a few weeks or a couple of months after the show was uploaded. Even if you try to google the show, most of the sites will tell you it was only one season but in reality it was 4 seasons. If anyone is up for it, I can provide links if it's still available. I was lucky enough to have been able to download all 4 seasons of it.
The show is interesting because it has so many similarities with one piece and i think Oda took some inspiration from it because
1. Back when the first season aired, Oda was probably just a kid
2. It even aired on Japanese television soon after, with the name "Taiyou no ko Estaban" (son of the sun Estaban)
The show is about the protagonist Estaban who lives in Barcelona, somewhat parallel to Luffy. Estaban can also command the sun and make skies clear even during the strongest of storms or rainfalls.
There are 3 more characters who run parallel with some op characters, Zia, an Incan girl who can read old and rare Incan texts and thus the Spanish govt. was always after her and in several instances they kidnapped her to find out what the incan scripts said about the cities of gold (El Dorado). She's parallel to Robin's character. There's a guy named Tao who's a descendant of an old advanced civilization called Mu who were known as the people of the Sun. They were famous for harvesting and using the power of the sun and they were technologically advanced (again somewhat parallel to the ancient advanced civilization in op). He's just like Usopp, good at fixing things and very crafty. In fact it was him who first provided the team with their first ship called Solaris. It had solar panels instead of sails and it had the power to run the ship 100 times faster than a normal ship running on sails. And just like Going merry, it got destroyed in an event. The second mode of transport they got was not a ship but a plane that looks like a bird.
Estaban was saved by a Spanish govt. navigator when he was just a baby. Ten years before the current timeline, the navigator named Mendoza (somewhat parallel to Shanks, since he uses one handed sword techniques and saved Estaban in the sea just like shanks saved kid Luffy) spotted a wrecked ship on a stormy night and the only survivors were Estaban and his father. The man hands Estaban over to Mendoza and then he was washed away. Ever since, Mendoza had been keeping an eye on Estaban. Estaban's father also handed Estaban a medallion on his neck that turns out to be one of the 2 keys to open 7 cities of gold that is scattered all around the world.
The story goes like this, many years ago there existed 2 advanced civilizations, Mu and Atlantis. They fought a huge war against each other over power resources. Alas they ended up destroying each other. Later some survivors of the Mu empire built 7 cities of gold all around the world where they hid tonnes of gold and several ancient technologies for the betterment of the world, and handed down 2 medallions to 2 generations of families. And as time passed, the medallions kept getting passed on among certain families and one ended up with Estaban and the other ended up with Zia. The high priest of the first city of gold (turns out he was estaban's father) said that the advanced civilization was so powerful and so technologically advanced that the survivors of the Mu empire knew that any adult who gets their hands on these powerful resources and tonnes of gold, would surely get greedy and fall to the bad side. And if the adults started fighting for these powerful technologies, they would end up using these advanced technologies again to destroy the world.
This is where it gets important for guessing what one piece could be. The high priest said the cities of gold and the keys to their doors were wished to have fallen into the hands of kids, because a child's innocence and wonder would never let the advanced technologies be used for bad purposes, like greed for power and war.
We are now aware of how there existed an ancient advanced civilization in one piece too, that created cool robots like the one in Egghead island. And to think the robot is so advanced that even a man like Dr. Vegapunk couldn't get it activated or figure out what fuel does it run on.
What if, one piece is a child's toy? A toy that children of the 800 years old ancient civilization built and played with!! This is something Oda could do, a gag ! And he simply doesn't do gags, he makes things so silly, yet so meaningful. Where, if this theory is taken into account, and we consider that the one piece is indeed a toy that the children of the ancient advanced civilization played with, at the same time it could also turn out that the toy itself was so advanced that it was like a powerful technology for the normal humankind.
To support my theory even further, back when Roger and his crew visited Laugh-tale and figured out what one piece is, Roger laughed and even said something close to "I came at a wrong time, this is not my time to reveal or use the one piece". It's something that people are so serious about that they wanna turn the whole world down. But only someone with the innocence of a child can actually use the one piece, since no adult can value a toy as much as a child can. Which is why if recalled, op has always shown how boys like Luffy, Chopper, Usopp and the boys from Punk hazard are so fascinated with robots and cool mechanical machineries. And the term "man's romance" is always stressed at times like these.
If anyone has seen Ben 10 alien force and recalls that one episode where a mysterious cube shaped alien technology was mimicking anyone who attacked it, like Gwen, Kevin, their powers, and even transformed into every one of Ben's aliens and it seemed like a totally destructive and advanced weapon. But it turns out, it was just a child's toy from some higher dimension and the child's mother later came to earth and picked up the toy, saying that her kid had dropped the toy somewhere back when they came to the lower dimension on the earth, for a family picnic. Or to hang out or something like that.
I feel this little Ben 10 alien force scene is a coincidental yet strong correspondence with the theory i have proposed above. In short what I'm guessing is, there's a huge chance that in a story like one piece where Oda likes to just mess around like what children would like the most, with cartoonish art style and funny gags, where he not only shows us serious stuff, but never fails to make us laugh with his cartoonish composition of manga panels and the over all story, the one piece could very well be just a toy, like a robot or some sort of weapon or a machinery, which to normal humankind, would look like a powerful weapon and the adults will surely try to obtain it for their selfish desires. Whereas, only a child's innocence could make the utmost use of it.
