(I've been having a bad writer's block, but, I do have some mini ideas that I can't flesh out. But, I know some people struggle with names/concepts for Y/N's/Characters. So! I'm giving them out for free in hopes it'll inspire something in someone so they don't go to waste!)

✧Somno; Gender Neutral. A y/n that's main trait is being a hyper insomniac. To the point they always seem tired, constantly consuming caffine, etc. But even if they're falling asleep where they're standing, they have incredibly fast reflexes. Could lead to some funny scenarios of finding them asleep in weird places, or, a cute concept (them only being able to sleep when they feel completely safe; ie: with one of the c.o.d characters)

✧Mama; Feminine. Pretty on the nose, but it could also be translated into a different language to match a country of origin. The concept is basically just...an aggressively maternal lieutenant/captain. Because I feel we don't have enough strong MILF's in this world, let alone in this fandom. This could also be used platonically because 141 specifically could use a mom type. Ghost & Gaz specifically.

✧Saint; Gender Neutral. Can be used for a character that's incredibly self sacrificing. Which would make for good fluff & good angst, plus, I think a lot of us can relate to feeling. Partially inspired by a random line I thought of - "If I die protecting you, that's far less frightening than you being gone when I could've protected you. Dying once for you is a peaceful passing, rather than dying every day you're not with me."

✧Salvadora/Salvador; Fem or Masc. Disclaimer; when I had this idea I imagined a woman. An alternative to the cartel story line in Las Almas. Y/N runs a civilian resistance against the cartel and has commandeered a village to keep citizens safe. It's basically a paradise in the crime ridden city. They've been providing sneaky support for Alejandro's men. (Honestly, this concept is pretty specific, and more detailed, and I might break it down more/write it on my own if possible)

✧Copycat/Mimic; Gender Neutral. A y/n that's incredibly skilled at mimicking voices. Whether in different accents or actual voices.

✧Mirage; Gender Neutral. Disclaimer; I imagined this also as a woman because I like powerful ladies. Similar to the one above but instead of just voices, they're just great at disguises in general & particularly sneaky. Like they "fade out of existence" if you look away at the wrong time.

✧Lynx; Gender Neutral. For a small, deceivingly cute looking character that's actually super deadly and quick. Do not trust the toe beans.

✧Nessie; Gender Neutral-Fem Lean. Pretty self explanatory. A character that's illusive and great in water. Bonus points for Scottish rep.

✧Sparks/Fuse; Gender Neutral. Just a fuckin' pyromaniac that can make their own bombs, super impressive and intricate ones. Thought of a scene where they're all in the heat of battle, low on ammo, and Y/N brings up randomly that they were a troublesome teen who almost had a criminal record. Price asks what the charge was and they just light something that doesn't look at all like a bomb, with a giant grin. "It was arson!!" And then they throw a fuckin' devastating bomb.

✧Iris; Gender Neutral. A character known for a very intense/intimidating stare. Inspired by those clips of people losing to Angelina Joline's femme fatal stare. Also, them being able to read a shocking amount about a person purely through eye contact.

✧Sage/Blister/Morphine/Plaster; Gender Neutral. All names for a potential medic!Y/N. (Plaster, for us Americans, is a word for bandaid in the UK. I know y'all prolly know that but just in case)

✧Bee; Gender Neutral. For a Y/N that's visibly smaller than those around them but packs a real hard punch. Also good if they're particularly good at physical combat. "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee."

✧Sugarcube/Honey/Cupcake; Gender Neutral-Masc Lean. I think the idea of a big buff, visibly masculine, intimidating dude being named something like 'sugarcube' is super funny.

✧Lasso/Big Mac/Stallion; Masculine. Isn't it obvious? Big cowboy man who's aggressively American even if he's actually been a UK citizen for years.

✧Bessie/Cowgirl/Chick; Feminine. Once again, aggressively southern Y/N. But, for fem!y/ns.

✧Tex/Stars/Anthem; Gender Neutral. See above, but this time, neutral. Cause I'm about equality in this bitch.

✧Cobra/Mamba; Gender Neutral. For a y/n that specializes in poisons to kill enemies, as well as a character with any association with snakes. Could be interesting for Ghost to hear.

✧Doll/Dolly; Feminine. A more "spy type" for the classic femme fatal who gets intel through allure. If you've seen my two fic concept posts, this is the call sign I'd give to the Y/N in Price's concept.

✧Tech; Gender Neutral. Pretty basic, a character that's particularly tech-y. Good with computers and hacking.

✧Bunny/Hare; Gender Neutral. For a y/n that's small, but super fast & alert. Bonus if they got Hinata jumping powers.

✧Clover/Shamrock; Gender Neutral. Irish rep. Use this for a Y/N that is somehow the luckiest unlucky person ever. Constantly ending up in situations that are stressful/intense but making it out with barely a scratch. Can add some dissonance if they actually hate this call sign because it's not luck that gets them out of these situations, and instead is there skill.

Ok let’s bring up a lighter Vedic topic I’ve been wondering about for a while now LOL (as an Ashlesha myself ts is getting out of hand 😭). Hair colour!

Do you think hair colour can strengthen or weaken certain placements? While dominance in my chart is not the most obvious I do consider myself mostly Ketu, lunar, and mercurial (in that order too).

And I’ve been all sorts of hair colours in my life, but primarily I’ve been brunette, blonde, and now back to my natural hair colour of black.

I feel like since going black - mind you I’ve barely had my hair this colour in my life with me alw dyeing/bleaching it - has strengthened my Ketu and has drawn more Ketu themes into my life. But for a very long time I was a blonde and despite having a weak sun natally I do feel like that placement was strengthened during that time and brought on many solar themes into my life & solar people as well!

It could very well just be the influences of whatever dashas that were running at the time for me but I do truly wonder if hair colour can influence you in that way 🤔

i think any change we make to our appearance can influence us!!

a lot of people do this subconsciously. when we end relationships or want a "fresh start" we usually cut our hair which is a way of releasing old energy. some people never cut their hair because they have learnt how to transmute that energy to spiritual power (many indian sages never cut their hair)

claire had made similar observations about tattoos and how we subconsciously get tattoos that reflect our placements/transits/dashas etc

ive never dyed my hair so i cant speak from personal experience but i feel like some people's reputations change remarkably when they dye their hair?? like Shakira has pitch black hair but she became a world-renowned star with her curly blonde hair. Mariah Carey is another person who is known for her dyed blonde hair (theyre both Punarvasu Moon) Marilyn Monroe is another example, Katy Perry did the opposite (she's a natural blonde and has dyed her hair black since she was a teenager) Angelina Jolie is also a natural blonde but has dyed her hair black since she was a kid. And I do think making physical changes of any sort influences the way we interact with our chart. if we try to cultivate beauty in a healthy way, we enhance our Venus and as a result become more magnetic and draw in more light and energy. if we try to cultivate beauty in a destructive way (eating disorders, extreme cosmetic enhancements etc) we might still draw in energy but for the wrong reasons?? ive changed my style a lot over the years and I feel myself channelling different parts of my chart accordingly or perhaps different aspects of my chart activate themselves and demand to be channelled through my style who knows lol

A Valentine’s to Enjoy

A continuation of part 3 of Just the Way You Are

14 February 1999

And it was.

After breakfast, the assorted members of the Weasley family headed off on their various adventures for the day.

Fred and George were checking on their shop before meeting Alicia, Angelina, and Oliver and Katie for a quidditch match. Percy was meeting Audrey, as far I could tell. Doing what, I wasn’t sure. My phone was, annoying, on the fritz and he hurried back up to his room after clearing his plate, before I could ask him.

“He was like this with Penelope Clearwater,” Ron noted sagely around a mouthful of scrambled eggs, noticing my confused expression. Swallowing, he added, “Think it’s his way of avoiding the teasing from Fred and George…”

I nearly choked on mine trying not to laugh, before questioning the youngest members at the table on their plans.

Harry and Ginny were off into London, as were Ron and Hermione.  Both were due back at Hogwarts tonight, so I figured they were going to make the most of their time together.

Bill and Fleur were at Shell Cottage, taking it easy.

Which left me and Charlie.

We ended up escaping the confines of the Burrow and exploring Ottery St. Catchpole, which included finding the village’s lone tea shop and an impromptu lesson on muggle money. It was better than Madam Puddifoot’s this time of year and I ended up getting another few macarons to share.

I got an umbrella at the little shop, and we wandered back up to the Burrow, enjoying the light rain. It was turning to snow by the time we reached the Burrow, and I was silently glad for my boots.

Ron and Hermione were quietly talking in the den as we passed it, pouring over a textbook of some sort. With all the shake ups over the past year, I couldn’t’ve told you what they were studying.

We tackled the stairs together, and I pulled out the dress Jane had packed. A few tweaks of my wand, and I admired my handiwork.

It was stylish enough to blend in while in London, subtle enough muggles wouldn’t give it a second look and possibly still stylish enough to satisfy Andre, should we see him while out and about. I doubted that we would, considering I had sent him a warning owl about not breaking my sister’s heart.

I had changed it to a deep navy from being black (which I was still sick of wearing), which had the added advantage of making the gold sparkles decorating it pop further. Another flick and the sparkles slowly floated artistically down the body of the dress.

Now all I needed was a layer on top. Conjuring sleeves was not a strong suit. With my luck, I’d end up with a short skirt and monstrously long sleeves.

Another dig through my bag turned up everything but a good coat. Underwear, makeup, even my earring cleaning kit. There was a navy shawl, but I didn’t even sense a heating charm on it.

Groaning to myself, I grabbed a crutch, grabbed my bag, and somehow managed to make it down to Ginny’s room to change there. I also hoped that she might have something I could temporarily colour for the evening.

She did, even if she didn’t entirely appreciate the interruption of her time with Harry. I apologised profusely, allowing her to help me with my hair and dress, along with promising to run some interference for her and Harry for a day come summer.

Somehow, despite everything that had happened, it still fit comfortably. Together, we transfigured the coat into something a little more fashionable yet comfortable.

Hair styled and last touches applied, I was all but thrown out with a cheery, “Have fun!” from Ginny.

I hopped down the last few steps with help from a nattily dressed Charlie, and we hurried out. It took a little longer than usual to get from the Burrow and into London, even with magic.

But it had been worth the drive. There was a pub, tucked away not far from where the Lone Star had been, that was called the Astronomer. It had been in the process of receiving its strikingly blue paint last April, when I last checked.

We might’ve been a little overdressed for the pub, but had a great time, even as it took all of my restraint to not touch everything. It beat going to an over-priced fancy restaurant.

More relaxing, but still nice enough for a good date in London.

Arriving back at the Burrow, we managed to say our goodbyes to both Ginny and Hermione, before they floo’d back to Hogwarts.

Later, as we all lounged around the den, I felt content, even as Charlie was getting set to go back to Romania.

This really was perfect.

Sage Delaney was a different kind of California girl. She embodied the beauty, she embodied brains, but she also held onto the fact she was a teenager with special powers. Sage, to be quite frank, wasn't typical and was anything but.

Billy Hargrove was the dream boat girls would throw themselves at. He embodied the chisled abs, gorgeous eyes, drove a nice car...but he was troubled. He was different with a hard past that he hid behind a tough exterior. Billy was...well he was Billy.

Hawkins was in for a real California dream.
