The accidental meet-up
Megumi Fushiguro x reader
Just some wholesome fluff about running into your childhood friend you never talked to since junior high.
Tumblr media
“Can you please go to the store for me, y/n?” Asked mom from her office room.
“Sure.” I walked there and popped my head in “What do we need?”
“There’s the list honey, thank you so much.” She handed me the note and smiled at me with a usual tired face.
“You have enough to do mom, and i wanted to get some fresh air anyway.”
“Be careful on your way. Should i call someone to go with you?”
“It’s fine the store is not that far y’know!”
“Just making sure. Then, take care sweetie, hurry before it gets late. There’s some extra money on the fridge, buy something for yourself.”
“Thanks, i’ll be back soon!”
I went back to my room and got ready. Mom was a jujutsu sorcerer back in the day but after an incident in which she experienced a huge loss, she retired. She was a teacher in Tokyo Jujutsu High but now she’s an undercover in there. Looking for curses and informing the school, the heads of the sorceres and things like that. However, she’s considering going back because a certain boy ate a finger of Sukuna’s. She tells me stuff you know, she spills everytime i massage her shoulders or make her coffee to have a break.
In my case, i can’t see curses nor do i hold the power sorcerers have. But it’s fine, mom said it’s better this way. Her stories are fun tho, i wish i could have some connection with this whole thing, my life is really boring this way. Anyways, as i left the house i put my earplugs in, closing off the noises of the outside world. On my way i thought of getting some snacks for later tonight. I was planning on catchcing up with some shows.
After minutes of walking i was getting closer to the store. But i couldn’t believe my eyes, there was someone really familiar going to the same building. I took one earplug out and squinted my eyes. Is that.. If that’s not him i can just pretend i’m having a phone call or sum.
“Megumi?” He looked my way, a suprised expression on his face. He didn’t change one bit; hair messy, face expressionless as always.
“Y/N? What are you doing here?”
“I could ask the same! What happened to your face? The guy who always beat others got beaten up? How is that possible.”
He laughed a little, looking at the ground “Well.. stuff happened.”
“Sure did, oh-“ i looked at his clothes and asked “Are you a jujutsu sorcerer?”
“How do you know about this? Sorry I mean-”
“See you never believed me when i told about my mom beating evil curses!”
“Jesus y/n that was ages ago! How was i supposed to believe that?”
“Hmph, so disrespectful.”
“If your mom is a sorcerer why aren’t you-
“I can’t see shit, i have absolutly nothing to do with this whole thing. Sooo good luck i guess, be strong.”
“That’s...unfortunate.”
“All good.”
“Do you want to catch up? I.. missed you. I guess.”
“Aww, did you really?? I don’t even know why you stopped talking to me suddenly so yeah! I have some things to buy let’s go in ol’ friend!”
Even when we were little we were on good terms with Megumi. He stayed over at our place a lot but i was never at his, we were classmates throughout elementary and junior high school every year and there was nothing more than great friendship. He beat guys up who hurt me in any way, took me out sometimes and overall he was a really good friend. Best friend as you call it. But some days after junior high he stopped answering my calls, texting me back and everything. I was feeling really under the rock at the time, i doubted myself every day: ‘did i do something wrong?’ ‘what happened to him?’ ‘where did he go?’ ‘is he okay?’ Until one day i got a message from an unknown number saying ‘I’m sorry i’ll explain one day-Bedhair’ And i knew it was him. I was never really the type to keep grudges and i moved on since then, deep down waiting for that day. And the day came. Unexpectedly. Accidentally.
“So did you make any friends?” I asked opening the ice cream i just bought. He opened his can on Sprite, nodding.
“I guess you can call them friends. Shit, there are only three first years including me. And we live in a hostel. Kinda fancy tho. My upperclassmate is a literal panda, and the other one is communicating with sushi ingredients. Don’t get me started with our teacher, he took pics of me when i first got beaten up.”
“Bruh, damn. That’s deep.” I laughed and he smiled at that. “Sounds fun.”
“Did you make any friends?”
“Yeah, i have a few. Not as cool as your friends but they’re fun to hang out with too.” He nodded as he sipped on his soda.
“You don’t know how glad i am to see you.”
“Aw, things have been rough or sumthing?”
“Yeah. I don’t know if i’m allowed to tell you this tho.”
“Please, my mom always tells me everything. She even draws me how the curses look sometimes.”
He looked me dead in the eyes then smiled with a sigh. “So i was sent to this school to—“
And he told me. He told me how that ‘idiot’ ate Sukuna’s finger, how he met his other classmate, a full of potential but loud girl, how his said friend died in front of him and how he came back. How the fight went against the other school and other small things that happened in his daily life. He asked about me too. And i told him. I told him everything that i’ve been throught and he didn’t judge me for them being just average teenage things, he was interested in the new game i was playing, the new mangas i’ve been reading, how i started cooking ect. I’ve always loved the way he listened and the way he talked. I felt understood and at peace next to him.
“But i understand why you decided to distance yourself from me. I’m not mad don’t worry.”
“You do?”
“Yeah, mom told me how i could be in serious danger if i was in some kind of relation with anyone in this field. She’s kinda unknown now so i’m okay, but if she goes back to work seriously i might have to move.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
“It’s okay, my rich aunt, swag unle and gay cousin live not that far from here. They’re even closer to my school! I’m prepared bestie.”
“Thank god. I don’t even have to explain then.”
“What is that supposed to mean!”
I pushed him hard but he didn’t even budge.
“Holy-!”
“Know who you’re messing with weakling.”
“If you keep this act up i’m going to leave.”
“Ok sorry.” He laughed and made our knees touch. Back in middle school we’d always connect our knees for no reason so it just felt quite nostalgic.
“I missed you too Megumi.”
“Happy to know that.” He smiled gently.
But as he was about to say something we heard agressive running and a “Fushiguro-kyun!”
A puder pink haired guy and a short brown haired girl clung into him asking “Who is this woman??”
“Have you forgotten the night you toasted to my eyes? Was it all a lie when you said your time with me was the most enjoyable of all? That night, that night!”
They must be the said friends, i just laughed at what they were saying. He really found good people to be around and i’m glad.
Another voice was heard “Could you not touch him so casually please?” A rather handsome man stood a few steps from us. Is he the teacher? “You homewreckers?! Megumi-chan has violin practice with me now.”
“Do you play the violin?” I asked him, not paying attention anymore. I wiped my eyes from the laughing while he just stayed unbothered and done with all of them.
“No i don’t.”
“Let’s go home, Megumi-chan.” Finished his speech the beautiful eyed man.
“Don’t mind them please. Are you done?” He said to all of them, pushing the girl away and punching the guy next to him.
I took my bags and bowed a little “Hi i’m y/n, i’m an old friend. Nice to meet you all.”
“Oh you’re y/n! I’m Itadori Yuuji.” The pink haired guy smiled at me and i tilted my head, averting my eyes to Megumi. But he looked away immediatelly “Fushiguro told me about you.”
“Did he really?? Dang, Megumi.”
“First name phasis huh? I’m Gojou Satoru. Their teacher.” He showed a rather questionable face but it was funny, the girl and i laughed. I looked at her and she turned away with a blush.
“Nobara.. Kugisaki.”
“That’s a cute name it suits you!” Her blush deepened as she flipped her hair, sticking her tounge at Itadori with the lines of ‘they didn’t compliment you but they did me!’
“Gojou-san stop staring at me.” Said Megumi “We’ve known each other since we were little we just bumped into each other.”
Then my phone rang. “It’s mom, i should go. I’ve been out longer than expected.”
“I’ll walk you home.” Suggested Megumi but i declined.
“It’s okay, i’ll be fine. It was a pleasure to meet you all. Take care of Megumi for me, be safe guys!” I said walking away.
“Tell your mom i said hi.” Said Gojou with a wink which made me shiver and gag, that sounded so wrong. “N-not in that way i just know her!”
With a laugh i answered the phone call. I was a bit far from them already as they went the opposite way as well, then i sighed.
“Thank god i was worried. Everything’s fine honey?”
“Yeah.” My voice came out weaker than expected. I really missed Megumi. And now i do again. “I missed him so much mom.” A tear slid down my face, but my smile never faded.
“I know honey. I know. Hurry home, i’m making cookies. We can talk about it when you arrive.”
“Thanks. I’ll be there soon.” With a sob i put the earplugs in, treasuring todays happening. Who knows when we’ll be able to see each other again.
I woke up and chose wholesome but make it sad at the end :D
Hope you guys enjoyed, have a nice day/night! <3

Your high school hcs made want a scenario about a high school Eren all emotional in a prom dance 🥺 Could you write it, please?
aww this is so cute! i honestly love this request, and i find it to be really fluffy and cute. i decided to include a song for this! it may be a bit old, but not gonna lie, it fits the moment! i hope you enjoy ♡.
Eren x Fem!Reader Highschool AU: Prom Night
Warnings: None
(listen to the song when the dance part starts!)
Tumblr media
It had been an exciting day for the seniors at Titan High. It was finally prom night! It was sort of bittersweet since next year they wouldn't be returning, and they'd be off to college. Everyone was excited, and it had been the most talked about even the whole week.
(Y/N) was really excited since she was going with her boyfriend Eren. They had been dating since sophomore year, and she couldn't be happier. He even did a promposal about a week or two before, and pretty much everyone in school talked about it.
Their group of friends had planned to take pictures together, and spend the whole night together. Eren hadn't seen (Y/N)'s dress yet, she didn't want to spoil it. She really loved the dress she picked out, her and Eren picked dark blue as their color this year.
Everyone was at Reiner's house. Everyone decided that was a good meeting spot, since his house wasn't far from where they were going to take pictures.
"When is (Y/N) gonna get here?" Armin asked and looked over at Eren.
He shrugged. "I don't know, last I checked she was coming with Mikasa" he replied and looked at his phone.
Armin was taking Annie to the dance surprisingly. Let's just say Bertholdt wasn't the happiest man at the moment, and he was a bit jealous about this.
"We're so going to get lit tonight!" Connie said and looked at Jean.
He laughed a bit. "You and Sasha are probably going to devour the snack table" he said and rolled his eyes.
"That's not true! We didn't do that last year!" Sasha replied and crossed her arms.
Eren sighed as he watched the three argue over it. He was patiently waiting for (Y/N) and Mikasa to show up. He really wanted to see what she looked like, he already knew his girlfriend looked like an absolute queen. She always did! No matter what she wore.
Meanwhile, (Y/N) and Mikasa were currently on the way to Reiner's house. She wore a long dress that was sort of like a corset, and it was strapless. It was no lie (Y/N) looked absolutely beautiful.
"I hope he likes it" she said and looked over at Mikasa.
She looked at her friend. "He'll love it, don't worry" she replied and continued driving.
Her (h/c) hair was done in curls that were half up, and half down. She credited her mother, since she was hairstylist. Her makeup matched her dress which was dark blue. She wasn't sure how Eren looked, he probably looked really handsome, he always did.
The two eventually arrived at Reiner's house. She saw everyone standing outside talking with one another, they were the last two that needed to show up.
"Hey! They're here!" Connie yelled and pointed at the car.
Mikasa and (Y/N) got out of the car. Mikasa wore a red dress. Jean was her date surprisingly, which made everyone a bit shocked. Eren was astonished staring at his girlfriend, the dress fit her so well. She looked so beautiful to him, he was so lucky to have (Y/N).
"Hey" Eren said and smiled as she approached him.
She smiled. "Hey! You look great" she replied and gave him a hug.
He laughed a bit and hugged her back. "No you look great, I love the dress" he said and held her hand.
"Hey guys! We gotta go take pictures!" Reiner yelled and came outside.
Everyone got together and drove to the park where they'd take pictures. Everyone looked great in their outfits, and some people stared in the park wondering why they were dressed so nicely.
"You take shitty pictures Connie" Jean said and looked up from his phone.
He looked at him. "Shut up" he replied and rolled his eyes.
Eren and (Y/N) stood taking pictures together. "These are going to be so great to post later" she said and looked on her phone.
He chuckled. "Yeah they for sure are babe" he replied and put his arm around her waist.
"Guys I'm starving!" Sasha said and crossed her arms.
Everyone looked around at one another. "We should get going then, that line is going to get long" Mikasa said and looked on her phone to check the time.
The group left the spot, and headed to the banquet that the school rented for the dance. It didn't take long for them to arrive, and they saw many other students had arrived already.
"Let's get this party started" Reiner said and smirked.
(Y/N) stood with Eren, and shivered a bit. "It's cold" she said and looked at him.
He put his arms around her shoulders. "We'll get inside in a bit" he replied and put his head on her shoulder.
Within a few minutes they were let inside. All of them reserved a table for each other. It was sort of chaotic. One side you had (Y/N), Mikasa, Eren, Armin, and Marco talking with each other. Then you had Connie, Sasha, and Jean all yelling because Sasha was eating her food quickly.
"Should we stop them?" (Y/N) asked and looked at Eren.
He nodded. "Nope, I'm actually enjoying the way they are right now" he replied and shrugged.
"We'd like to congratulate the class of 2020, show them some love tonight!" the dj called from his area on the dance floor.
A few people cheered, and yelled. It was a bittersweet day, they graduated in less than 2 weeks.
Music started to play and some people went out to dance.
"I'm gonna go dance! Connie come with me!" Sasha yelled and dragged him onto the dance floor.
(Y/N) and Eren chuckled as they watch the two dance like idiots to the music. "God they are such clowns" Eren said and held her hand.
She laughed. "Yeah, I'm waiting for them to fall or throw their food up" she replied and drank some of her water.
That's when the music slowed, and a slow song came on.
(listen to the song!)
(Y/N) and Eren looked at one another. "Want to go dance?" he asked and nodded.
She took his hand. "Sure" she said and stood up.
He guided her to dance floor, he put his hand on her waist and she put her arms on his neck. They noticed other couples joining them, including Mikasa and Jean. Surprisingly, Connie and Sasha were out there dancing themselves.
"You know, high school wasn't so bad" Eren said and laughed a bit.
(Y/N) smiled. "Maybe... but you definitely made it worth it for me" she said and looked into his eyes.
He smiled and twirled her around. "You made high school probably better for me, if I hadn't met you, I probably would still be that sad loser" he said.
"I would probably still be that loner who was super shy" she said and laughed.
Eren looked into her (e/c) eyes. "You know (Y/N)... I wouldn't trade you for anybody else" he said and smiled.
She blushed and looked into his teal eyes. "I feel the same way about you too Eren, nobody else could replace you" she replied.
"I really hope college goes well for us" Eren said.
She nodded. "Me too, but I couldn't ever bare the thought of losing you Eren. It's too much for me" (Y/N) said.
He smiled. "I'm not going anywhere (Y/N), I love you so much" he replied and kissed her head.
He began to feel a bit emotional, the song, everyone around him, it was all so much. "Eren? Are you alright?" she asked.
He felt tears come to his eyes. "I love you more than anything (Y/N), you're the only girl who has ever made me this happy. I want to love you forever" he replied and looked at her.
She couldn't help but feel her heart flutter. He hadn't ever been this emotional over her before, and it honestly made her smile.
"I love you too Eren, no guy will ever compare to you" she said.
She gave him a kiss and lied her head on his chest as the music continued.
He sniffed a bit. "I can't wait to start a new chapter with you.." he whispered.
(Y/N) couldn't help but smile. "It's you and I versus the world" she replied.
Eren smiled at quickly wiped the tears off his face. "Always and forever" he said and laughed a bit.
The song finished and they both looked at one another. They kissed and smiled at each other. Tonight was absolutely magical.

Wolf Taming Pt 26
CW: Noncon - Shock Collar - Pain - Petplay - Drugs - Kidnapping  - Manipulation - Consent Violation
2 Years Ago
“Morning Z.” A woman’s voice pulled me from my sleep. I blinked a few times to clear my eyes and saw Briar standing in the doorway holding a plate. “Oh dear. Were you actually sleeping last night? I’m really sorry I woke you up, you need all of it you can get.”
Briar was one of the few people I’d met that I could actually stand. She joined the Society about a month before I did and had been one of the few people who seemed genuine. For better or worse she had taken an interest in me after Eos had recommended I work here. She was nice and helpful, but it also meant enduring her quirks.
"Hello Miss Briar, how are you today?"
She sighed. "For the last time Z we're equals here. Briar is fine. It feels strange for you of all people to be calling me by a title."
"The Society has been pretty strict on titles, I'd prefer to keep to them while we're in one of their buildings."
"Z, between the two of us you're the one with an epithet. You should be a higher rank than you are. You're very good at what you do."
"The epithet is just a joke at my expense. If I was capable of doing things your way I would."
“I see. Epithets are a pretty big honor to have. Only like what, 7 percent of members have one? Why do you feel like it’s a joke?”
“Don’t do that.”
“Don’t do what?”
“Psychoanalyze me. Leave that for whoever's in your file for today.” Briar was nice, but she stuck her nose where it didn’t belong. It seemed like she was digging for something when I talked to her. She was a psychologist before she joined the Society. From my own experience with psychologists they made it a habit to stick their noses where you didn’t want them too.
Briar went silent for a moment before changing the subject. “So who is it today?”
“Some rando who decided to look for the Society.”
“Reporter?”
“No.” I couldn’t manage to suppress a sigh. “A kinkster that doesn’t really get what this place is about. Unfortunately for her it’s a bit too late to back out. Could I have a minute so I can get dressed?”
“Sure, I’ll be waiting outside.”
I looked at the clock, it was already two in the afternoon. I didn’t think it was that late already, apparently I did fall asleep at some point. It’s not like I’d gone outside much recently, I mostly kept to myself and daylight didn’t easily reach a place this deep.
I put on a pair of my favorite jeans and a black t-shirt and I was ready. A lot of the other breakers liked to dress up, find a theme to their work. One girl here dressed as a latex nurse. One guy loved his heavy goth look. Briar loved leather. I mostly kept it casual. I didn’t see why I should need some gimmick for my job.
I opened the door and motioned to her to come with. “Alright, lets go.”
“Nuh-uh. Wait.” She put out an arm to bar my exit and motioned for me to back up. “Here, have something to eat before you gather your equipment.” She placed the plate she was handing onto my desk. Just some toast and jam.
“I could have gotten something to eat myself.”
“I’m sure you could have, but were you going too?”
“Maybe? I kind of have a lot to take care of.”
“Uh-huh. Did you eat anything yesterday?” I hated when she did this, I could feel her looking me over like she could pick out something I did to prove that I was lying to her. I’m not sure why she cared.
“Fine!’ I was getting exasperated. I took a bite of the toast. “I’m eating it. Happy now?”
“Happier. You need to take care of yourself.” I was bracing myself for another lecture, but she went quiet. “You really leaving at the end of the week, Z?”
“Mhm. Today’s lucky capture will be the last one I’ll have to do. Got a house lined up and stuff. We’ll see how it goes. Plus... she’ll be done today.”
“Oh, right. If you want some help with that later on let me know. It’ll be easier with two people. If you ever want to talk about it you know where I’ll be.”
“I don’t have anything I need to talk about. Have a good day Briar.” I heard a bit of a sad sigh when I walked away from her. I had other things on my mind, I didn’t really have time to think about her five hundredth attempt to get me to talk to her about something. I flipped open the file
Name: Kim Raum
Height: 5’ 5
Eyes: Grey
Hair: Blonde (Bleached and Dyed)
Former Job: Tech Firm Manager
Reason for Capture: She stuck her nose where it didn’t belong and learned too much. She has been designated a liability.
Additional Information: We’ve searched through her computers and phone and evidence she is already a submissive who fantasizes about being owned by another person. She has a particular interest in being a petgirl and has fantasies of being a fox girl. She has masochist tendencies. We believe it is these tendencies that got her onto a trail of rumors about the Society. Others involved have already been captured and brought to the auction house.
We did not bring her here for her own pleasure. She is here to be punished for her transgressions. We recommend either Miss Briar or Z for this task due to the particular needs required. A complete break is requested.
Known Fears or Phobias: N/A
Chosen Breaker: Z
Chosen Fate for the New Capture: Sold at Auction.
Breaker Percentage: 3%
Breaker Notes: I sent out an invitation to the target via a Society Member working in a kink dungeon she frequents to visit the Auction House. The member is known to her and she agreed to the “full experience” which included a “fake” kidnapping where she will be secured on an evening walk by a capture team lead by Jude. I have orders for her to be placed in my usual room where she will be under the belief that this is just a sex club of some sort. In order to expedite the process she was given something to fill out so she knows what kinds of activities she may experience here.
It was going to be a long day. We occasionally caught some reporters or friends of those we captured snooping about. If the Society felt it was safe to move against them we’d capture them. I’m not sure we ever came across someone who was looking to join willingly. They really had no idea what we were about.
I went to the preparation area and picked out the things I wanted. It was always the same list. I found my method effective enough I didn’t see a reason to change it. I filled out an order for it to be set out for 7 P.M., when I’d be meeting the person I’d be spending time with for a few days.
I got a message informing me last minute this session would be recorded as it was my last one. It was for record keeping as I had yet to have a recorded session. I sighed and returned to my room. I spent the remainder of my time trying to act in front of my mirror. I felt I was a pretty bad actor, but I only needed to be so convincing. My alarm went off at 6:45 and I made my way to the breaking chambers.
I opened the door and saw the occupant go from looking around the room to pretending to be asleep. I rolled my eyes and entered the room. They were shackled in my favorite device. It was similar to a chair you might see in a gynecologist office, but the stirrups could lock and the arms could be locked up near their head. It gave me full access to their body.
“Good evening Miss Raum, I know you’re awake.”
“What gave it away?”
“I saw you looking around.”
“That was more of a rhetorical… anyway. Are you Z? Where you the one who sent me that message?”
“I am. One of the perks of working here is getting a one night voucher you can give to someone. It’s a pretty special gift. I didn’t have anyone I wanted to give mine too so I asked Aiden if he knew anyone who would appreciate it. He dropped your name.”
“Guess I’m just lucky. This place is exciting. Have you seen the place up front? There's an entire stage, what’s it for?”
“This is the Auction House Miss Raum, the stage is the most important place in the entire building.”
I saw her eyes go wide. “Like you guys actually auction off people here? How does it work? Is it just like for some activities tonight or something?”
I smiled at her. “You’ll learn in due time. If you’re good for me you might get to see it yourself.”
“Aww… I have to be good?” She flashed some puppy dog eyes at me.
“Good is a relative term. Believe me, you’ll know if you’re being bad. But we have to go through the formalities before we really begin. We try to keep the Auction House pretty immersive, but we have to check in first. What is your name?
“Kim Raum.”
“Miss Raum-”
“Please just call me Kim.”
“Alright. Kim. Kim, do you remember the safeword you were given before?”
“Traffic light system, I got it.”
“And you know my particular area I work with?” I circled around behind her. I reached into the refrigerated portion and pulled out a knife and a pair of scissors and placed them in my pockets.
“Aiden said you like ‘sensory stuff’ and said it would be better to talk to you about it than him spoiling the surprise.”
“Pretty much. I hope it’ll be something you remember. Are you wearing the clothes I requested?” I stood behind her as we talked. Every movement mattered since this was being recorded.
“I might have worn something nicer had I realized what kind of upscale place this was, but I wore what you asked. Clothes I didn’t mind losing. Jude already showed me where to go to pick up new clothes after this. I have to admit, the immersive experience has been pretty great so far. Kidnapping team is quite fantastic.”
I gave her a smile. It’s interesting hearing someone so happy about a trap they willingly walked into. “You know what to do if it gets too much. I’m sure you know what to do if you want more as well. Just say your name and that you consent and we can begin. You can always revoke it at any time.”
“My name is Kim Raum and I consent to this.” I slipped a blindfold over her eyes. This always worked best when they couldn’t see.
I wrapped my arms around her from the back. I pressed the button on the switchblade and it shot out, grazing her cheek with it’s icy tip. I felt her tense up a bit. A great start.
“Oooooh nooooo. Are you going to hurt me? That’s terrible.” I could hear a bit of a laugh. I’m glad she was enjoying herself for now.
I walked around to the front of her, dragging the tip of the knife down from the side of her wrist to her waist as I walked by. Light enough not to draw blood. Hard enough to feel the cold sharp blade. “We’ll see. Your clothes are in my way.”
I pulled the pair of scissors out of my pocket. I felt her shiver as the metal touched her stomach. I held onto her shirt as I slid the scissors up her stomach, the scissors slid through the cloth like it was a hot knife through butter. I managed to bisect her shirt and bra with one motion. A lucky move to be honest, I usually had to make a second cut for that. With a few more swipes I cut down the sleeves to the center before I pulled the tatters off of her and threw them to the side.
I moved down to her pants and did the same thing. A single gliding cut up each pant leg and I could pull them off. I didn’t catch her panties with them unfortunately. The scissors had warmed up at this point so I placed them off to the side. I flicked open the knife and traced it over her as I studied them.
I decided to take the risk. I held the knife close like I was going to cut them off. Then with one motion I instead grabbed them and pulled, tearing the fabric and pulling them off.
“Whoa.” “Yeah, I’m kind of impressed in myself to be honest. Wasn’t sure if it would work and it would have been embarrassing if it didn’t.” I walked back over to the cart and placed the knife and scissors back in the refrigerated compartments. “How about we switch it up a bit?”
“Got more settings than cold?” She did enjoy poking at me. I wasn’t sure if that really made me feel better or worse about what I was building up to.
I gave her a little chuckle. “A couple more at least.”
I placed a few things on a tray and brought it over to her. A wand vibrator, two lotions, some swabs, and some latex gloves. The vibrator came with an attachment so I could hook it to the chair. I put it on it’s lowest setting and placed it snug against her. “I like to introduce a bit of pleasure to go with the pain.”
“Oh? Were the scissors and the knife not supposed to be the pleasure portion?”
“I can see you were the right person to give that voucher to Kim. I’m sure you’ll appreciate what else we’ll be doing.”
I slid on the gloves and applied a dab of the bottles to each nipple. I began rubbing it in and listened to her moan. Soon enough their effects began to work and she squirmed a bit. “Something wrong?”
“Probably not, just a little surprised. A tiny bit chilly on one side but the other side is a bit hot.” It was a neat little concoction. One side was a special mixture of a pepper the Society cultivated. The other side was a mint extract of some type. It wasn’t too bad without the full mixture.
“How’s it feeling?” I whispered into her ear.
“It’s an interesting feeling. Surely you can do a bit more though?”
Just the opening I was waiting for. I turned the wand up to a higher setting and walked back to the cart and picked up the items I needed for the main performance. Another lotion bottle, a spray bottle, a syringe, a vial, an enema bag, a jug of ice water, a special rubber gag and a hood. Everything she needed to be comfortable for a few hours. I removed her blindfold so she could see the tray.
“Is that a syringe?” I could hear the caution in her voice.
“Indeed it is. The Society creates a lot of their own drugs among other things. This is a particularly fun one I think you’ll enjoy.” I held up the syringe and filled it with the contents of the vial.
“Red. No.” She paused for a second to moan as the vibrator continued to do its work. “Red. No needles. No drugs.” She sat there, expecting something to happen. I was just searching for the best place to inject it. “What the fuck are you doing?! Stop!”
“What was that Kim?”
“Are you deaf I said re-” When she opened her mouth again I lifted the spray bottle and sprayed the contents into her mouth. “What the hell was-” she was interrupted again when she suddenly screamed and began to thrash in the chair. I felt a smile touch my lips but I quickly wiped it away.
I grabbed the rubber gag and shoved it into her mouth. It was an oval gag meant to keep the wearer’s mouth pried open but wouldn’t let them bite down all the way. It helped protect the tongue.
I grabbed her by the hair to pull her head to the headrest. “Look at me.” Her eyes darted towards me, wide. I could see she was afraid now. She knew the play was done. “Kim, that's a special spray made with a pepper that’s cultivated by our group. It’s called a Hellfire Kiss. I’ve obviously never tried it myself. I’m not really into spicy things. But I’m told it's over as hot as a Carolina Reaper but I’m afraid I don’t really have a reference for how hot that is. Be good and I’ll share something I have that’ll neutralize it. Be bad and I’m sure I can find other places you really don’t want this to touch. You’re shackled to a chair right now, you have nowhere you can escape to. Nod your head up and down if you want to be a good girl.”
She was still trying to break out of the chair, but she vigorously nodded her head up and down. “It’s so easy to be a good girl Kim, I’m glad you’ve decided to work with me.” I jabbed her with the needle and injected the substance. It was quite the lovely mixture. A special stimulant that helped the user take more of a beating before they would lose consciousness. It also intensified sensations, making everything she was feeling even more intense.
I pulled on another pair of latex gloves and squirted the lotion into my hands. I ignored her crying and applied the lotion to her nipples. She gasped as the full effect of the lotions started. The other two on their own were nice for sore muscles. If either was mixed with this one it intensified their effects. I was told that it was fairly safe but the sensation would keep intensifying for a while. As the seconds ticked by her thrashing renewed and unintelligent babble left her mouth.
It was easier not to acknowledge it. She would have to get used to not being acknowledged in any meaningful way.
I inserted the enema plug into her none too gently. I had things to do today and didn’t want to spend much more time here. She made a small noise of discontent at the feeling but started begging again when I started to fill the bag. I just kept ignoring her. It didn’t really matter what she wanted or what her thoughts on anything were anymore. It was time she learned that. I watched as it started to run into her. The water was just barely above freezing. It would be pretty painful. Beyond just being filled to the brim with water that cold it would cause pretty horrific cramping.
“Almost done. Then you can sit on your own for a few hours and think about how you willingly came here.” I placed the earbuds in her. They just played loud static. I wanted her to focus on the sensation. It was best to make sure every sense was being used.
I took one last look into her eyes before I pulled the hood over her head. It covered her eyes but left a place open for her nose and mouth. I opened the spray bottle and dipped some swabs in the mixture. I held the bottle up to her mouth and gave her another spray, resulting in a new round of screams. I went over to the table and picked out a plug for the gag and inserted it, forcing her to breathe through her nose. I heard her whimper as the first round of cramps spread through her. I took the swabs and swirled them around her nose. I watched her fingers curl as she tried to reach for her face. This method kept it around longer. She’d be breathing it in for awhile.
With that I was done. In a few hours she’d pass out and someone else would clean her up. I’d be repeating this activity several times a day for the rest of the week and hope she broke before the end of the week.
I looked back at my last victim. Anyone else would have drawn out what they were doing. Slowly breaking them over time until they acknowledge their new lot in life. But not me. I did my best to overwhelm them with sensations until it was too much for them. She was a sobbing mess now but soon she would break and be fine. I broke them as quick as I could to protect them from anymore suffering.
I was a figure of mercy.
I cared for them.

Chapter 14 - Bitter Fingers
-
He knew exactly what he was doing, thumping out heavy, almost furious, soulful notes, singing the words perfectly, with feeling, with vigour, with a real sense of urgency.
“You’re good” Tony said, once he’d finished the song.
Peter slowly turned to him. He’d had a feeling he was being watched; he just hadn’t realised who by. They’d ended up in another argument after Li had left the previous day, and hadn’t spoken since. He turned back to the piano.
“I know”
“Why don’t you play something else? Something classical?”
“I don’t want to”
“Why not?”
“I just don’t” Peter said, putting his hands back on the keys.
“Well, play something more upbeat”
Peter paused, thinking, and then started playing. At first Tony seemed almost approving, but as the first verse flew by, his expression changed.
“-Think I'm gonna kill myself, cause a little suicide, stick around for a couple of da-”
“PETER!”
“What?! You told me to play something more upbeat!”
“I didn’t mean this! This song is so insensitive”
“Sir Elton tried to kill himself thrice:- I think he’s within his rights to sing about it”
“That doesn’t mean you are!”
“Don’t you have anything better to do?” Peter scowled. “Why are you up here?”
“I wanted to see you play”
“Why?”
“Why? Because you’re my son, maybe?”
“Oh, so I’m your son now, am I?”
Tony sighed. “Don’t start”
“I’m not starting anything” Peter shrugged, looking back at his piano, studying the front as though he had a songbook open.
“I thought you liked performing. You’ve been singing to your father, haven’t you?”
“He actually wants to listen, and he’s not in denial”
“What makes you think I’m in denial?”
Peter gave him a look, looking so similar to Loki that for a moment, Tony wasn’t sure how to react. Eventually, he just sighed and sat down next to Peter, taking his MP3.
“I’ll choose something for you. You can play by ear, right?”
“I’m playing Sir Elton” Peter said. “Don’t mess with my playlist”
“Alright, calm down. How about Crocodile Rock? That’s an upbeat one”
“Maybe I don’t want to play anything upbeat. Stop messing with my stuff”
Peter tried to snatch the player back, but Tony held it out of his reach.
“Fine. Do you think you can play I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues?”
“Maybe I don’t want to take your suggestions” Peter snatched the player back, scrolling through. “If it’ll make you go away, I’ll play a less sad one, but this is as good as you’re gonna get”
He put his player down, shifted position so he wouldn’t clash elbows with Tony, and once again set to the ivories. In some ways, it was easy to block Tony out, even with him so close. But in other ways, he liked knowing he was there. More than that, he liked knowing that he was good:- he could play, and he could sing, and he’d achieved every bit of it without any help, knowledge, input, or support from the man sat beside him, who just so happened to be part of the reason why he was ever born. He could feel himself being watched, but he made sure never to look at him, and he just kept performing, feeling melancholy, but triumphant - almost like he wanted to stick out his tongue at his father and shout; “nah nah ne nah nah, look what I can do without you!”. But instead he just kept singing.
“...If someone else is suffering enough, oh to write it down. When every single word makes sense, then it's easier to have those songs around. The kick inside is in the line that finally gets to you, and it feels so good to hurt so bad, and suffer just enough to sing the blues. So turn 'em on, turn 'em on, turn on those sad songs. When all hope is gone, why don't you tune in and turn them on..?”
-
Peter took his headphones off. For a moment there was silence, and then Tony turned and wrapped his arms around the boy, pulling him close. Peter stayed still, hardly even daring to breathe. He wasn’t sure he trusted Tony’s intentions, whatever they might be, and after some of the things that had been said over the past couple of days, he wasn’t sure he wanted to be near him at all. After what felt like an eternity, he spoke, surprising himself.
“Just because I love you the most, that doesn’t mean you’re the best parent”
-
Loki looked over Tony’s shoulder.
“What are you looking at?”
“Just an email from the school. They’re doing a huge show at the end of term”
“I thought we’d essentially decided to withdraw him from the school?”
“Yeah... But maybe we should send him back now. Let him finish the term”
Loki was quiet for a moment. “Why the change of heart? You don’t want him to end up leaving out of someone else’s choice, do you?”
“What do you mean?”
“Well. Let’s be honest; if he were at a mainstream school, and-or you weren’t his father, he’d probably have been expelled by now”
Tony took his hand away from his mouth. “...Am I a bad parent?”
“Sometimes”
Tony couldn’t help but laugh slightly. “Thanks for the brutal honesty”
“Do you really think I’m going to lie to you? Especially after the way you’ve been since we got those DNA results?”
Tony didn’t respond. Loki sighed, looking at the email on Tony’s screen.
“Is there really much point sending him back for two weeks?”
Tony shrugged. “Get him out from under our feet?”
“Charming. And here I was thinking you’d turned a corner”
“I was joking!” Tony exclaimed, showing a glimmer of personality for the first time all day. “It might be good for him to get out of the house, and tie up loose ends. I don’t think he’s talked to any of the Bunnies since the last time he was there”
“Well, if you took the time to stop sulking and actually speak to him, you’d know that he’s still been talking to Flo, and he’s even made amends with Millie”
“And Macy?”
Loki grimaced. “Still a touchy subject, I think”
Tony sighed heavily. “They were such a cute little group. It was good that he had proper friends. He’d never really had them before”
“Well, maybe not, but I can’t say I think it’s that important. From what I’ve learnt, humans don’t often keep their school friends throughout the rest of their lives anyway”
“That’s not-” Tony stopped, and sighed. “Go and get him, would you?”
“I think he’s busy”
“Loki”
“Alright, alright. I’ll go and get him”
-
Loki waited until Peter’s song had finished, and then gently laid a hand on his shoulder. Peter jumped slightly, pulling his headphones off.
“Oh, it’s just you”
“Your presence is requested in the kitchen”
Peter whined. “Do I have to?”
“Yes”
“Why? What does he want?”
“He wants to ask you something”
“What?”
“I shouldn’t say”
“Aww, please!”
Loki took one look at Peter’s puppy-dog eyes and gave in. “Fine, but don’t let on I’ve told you. He wants to ask how you feel about finishing the term at school”
“Oh” Peter said. “Well, sure. It’s only a couple of weeks, isn’t it?”
“Yes. Do you think you can stay out of trouble for that long?”
Peter shrugged. “Maybe~. You’ll relay my message, won’t you?” He turned back to the piano.
“Hey, you’re not getting out of it that easily!”
“Aww, but daddy! I’ve nearly nailed that hard piano riff in Burn Down The Mission! It’ll throw off my groove if I stop now!”
“You’ll just have to practice later” Loki said, taking hold of him and lifting him into his arms. “Come along, Elton. Better not leave him waiting too much longer”
-
Peter couldn’t work out why Tony didn’t seem satisfied with his answer. He stayed where he was on Loki’s hip, feeling somehow tiny and mighty at the same time.
“You’ll go back tomorrow then”
“Why tomorrow?”
“Why not? It’s Monday. Better day than any” Tony said. “You’d better find your uniform so we can get it ready”
“By ‘we’, I take it you mean me?” Loki said.
“Um-”
Loki laughed. “Don’t look so scared! I’ll sort it”
Peter looked at both of his parents, but settled on Tony.
“This is going to be my last term, isn’t it?”
Tony didn’t say anything, but he didn’t need to.
“Did you need anything else?”
“No...”
“Can I go back to my piano now?”
“Maybe take a little break” Loki said. “Your hands must be aching after all that playing”
“I’m fine!”
“Hold your hands out”
Peter did as he was told, reluctantly, and with a bit of difficulty due to his position. Thank god for strong thighs, he thought to himself. Loki took one look at the boys shaking hands and shook his head.
“Let them rest, sweetheart”
“It’s just a trapped muscle” Peter tried.
“You really shouldn’t try to lie to someone as good at it as I am” Loki said.
“Well, I don’t want to lounge about doing nothing” Peter pouted.
“No amount of baby-face is going to make me change my mind”
Tony watched them together. Bar a few unsavoury incidents after May’s death, Loki always managed to hold it together and be a good father to Peter. As much as he hated to admit it, Tony knew that it was him who was always rubbish is times of crisis. Loki was right; he was a bad father sometimes. Especially since finding out he was a biological father.
“Why don’t we go for a swim?” he suggested.
Loki and Peter stopped and looked at him, Peter glaring, and Loki very nearly doing the same.
“...Theoretically... Could a god impregnate a human woman at the same time as a human man, and have shared parentage with the human, so like, the kid had three bio parents?”
Loki looked at him, searching his face. He glanced at Peter, and then back at his husband. He knew what he was getting at.
“Don’t be ridiculous, Anthony”
-
They didn’t go for a swim. Tony started sulking again and went down to the lab, not doing proper work; just attempting to make comprehensive shapes out of solder, while Loki tried in vain to teach Peter some magic upstairs.
“It doesn’t seem to be taking” he said eventually.
“Maybe humans can’t do it” Peter said. “I can kinda feel it when you put your hands over mine, but I can’t make any of that feeling come to me naturally, yknow?”
“Well, perhaps you aren’t made to do magic. Maybe you need a spark to begin with.. Ah well. Your talents lie elsewhere”
“I guess so”
Peter closed his eyes, trying to focus on pushing energy to his fingertips like Loki had said. No matter how hard he tried, it still just seemed so much more like a concept and a metaphor than an actual physical thing he could do. He gave up and opened his eyes.
“It doesn’t work. Can’t you like, transfer your magic to me or something?”
Loki laughed slightly. “It doesn’t really work like that, chick. Now, you should probably go and get all your school stuff together; save having to do it last thing”
“Aw, it’s gonna be tough having to get up in the morning. I’ve completely fucked up my sleep schedule”
“I guessed as much. And don’t swear: you know your dad’ll go spare if he hears you”
“That’s his problem”
“It won’t be when you’re over his knee now, will it? Now go and find your uniform. We’ll sort everything physical and then work on a game plan”
“Alright. But can I ask you something first?”
Loki raised an eyebrow, an always ambiguous notion in situations such as this.
“Why have you been looking at houses to buy in Scotland?”
“Peter, I told you to go and get your uniform”
Peter sighed, shrugged, and went to do as he was told.
-
He was distracted from his Loki-based thoughts when he found the uniform. It felt weird thinking this would be the last term he’d wear it. He’d hated it so much at the start, and he wasn’t exactly a huge fan now, but oddly, he felt almost attached to it. Aside from the hat. He’d never worn that. In fact, the only thing he’d really done with it, aside from hate it, was use it as a frisbee. It made a surprisingly good one in a pinch. He’d worn Flo’s school hat a few times when she’d put it on him, but the girls had straw hats with ribbon, which were quite universal, and even looked cute on some people. A far cry from the horrible little peaked caps the boys had, which suited only the smallest of the first years and exactly five people in Peter’s years group, one of which was Macy. St Hendricks certainly had its downsides, but at least, despite everyone owning them, the hats weren’t strictly enforced. It had saved a lot of embarrassment.
Peter looked at his uniform, specifically the jacket and tie. Come to think of it, they’d both taken quite a beating. He was actually on his third tie: he’d train-tracked his first one so badly that the bottom six inches were unrecognisable as a school tie, and he’d been told he had to either buy another one or go on uniform report, and he’d set the second one on fire with a bunsen burner to set the fire alarm off after a teacher had told him that being a famous persons son didn’t give him any right not to pay attention in class. He was still quite proud of that one. Malaki had taken the blame for him though, so he’d never seen any real repercussions for it.
As for his blazer... well, it was only Loki’s surprisingly perfect sewing and washing skills that had made it last as long as it had. It had been stained with everything you could think of, from blood to poster paint, and somehow still come up clean. It had also suffered it’s fair share of ripped seams and torn lining, and of course the time the back seam had completely given up following a particularly rough drama lesson - another incident which had nearly landed him on uniform report as well as in detention.
It was quite funny, in a way, how he was perceived at that school. At Midtown, he’d been a bit of a loner, a bit of an outcast, but generally a model pupil. At St Hendricks, he was generally considered a hell-raiser - and it was the teachers who had said that first, not him. When he really thought about it, he could almost understand where they were coming from. Malaki aside, they were used to everyone falling into line and behaving like young ladies and gentlemen. So Peter rocking up and throwing tantrums (and fists), catapulting rubbers at the back of Nigel’s head, pushing Malaki into the swimming pool in the middle of lessons, and pulling drainpipes off the wall while retrieving footballs from the roof was probably a bit of a culture shock for them.
Not that everyone seemed to mind. A lot of people seemed to have a bit of a soft spot for him, for whatever reason. He’d even quickly won over the new PE teacher, despite famously being bent over the equipment trolley and paddled with a cricket bat during the teachers first week at the school. Even then, he hadn’t really hit him hard (and nowhere near as hard as he’d hit Nigel, who was by his side being disciplined a little bit too often). N-Pet, as he’d quickly become known, was, along with Mr Musgrove, one of Peter’s biggest defenders. Peter had become very good at using his small and quiet side to his advantage, even to such an extent as causing havoc and running to hide behind a teacher he knew would have his back. Maybe he was a little bastard, Peter thought. But maybe that made sense, considering the school he went to.
Peter took Loki his uniform, but he didn’t stop. He went to sort out his school bag, thinking deeply as he did so. He’d been so sure he’d hate the school, but he didn’t really, not so much. He’d made friends fast enough, and he’d had good times. And weird times. Especially where Nigel was concerned...
Nigel was certainly weird. Him and Peter had essentially been sworn enemies since day one, but, for some reason, Nigel always defended Peter, even covering his back to stop him getting into trouble. And then there was all of their store cupboard encounters. And the time Nigel had asked him to the dance. And that time at Nigel’s when-... Well, Peter didn’t like to think about that. It had ended in an argument anyway, which was very on form. Peter still didn’t know what to make of Nigel, but he was sure Nigel didn’t know what to make of him either. Maybe it was one of those questions that didn’t really need an answer. He didn’t suppose he’d ever see him again after the end of term anyway.
He hoped he’d still see Flo. And Millie. He wasn’t sure about Macy yet, or Malaki. He supposed the next couple of weeks would be a final hurdle where the latter two were concerned.
-
Loki went to find Peter a little later on.
“I was getting worried” he said. “You just disappeared”
“Sorry...”
“...What are you listening to?”
“...It’s called Black Tables”
Loki sat down beside him on the bed. He knew that look, and he suddenly knew why Peter had been alone in here for the past few hours. Peter kept his eyes on his hands. He’d gone too deep into his thoughts, and he knew making eye contact would be fatal.
“You should try playing this some time” Loki said. “It’s got plenty of piano in it”
Peter nodded slightly. Loki was quiet for a moment, and then he rested a hand on Peter’s.
“Sweetheart”
Peter looked up at him, and burst into tears.
“Oh, sweetheart...”
Loki carefully put his arms round the boy. At first, Peter didn’t move, but he gave in soon enough and he held onto his father as he cried. Loki slowly tightened his loose grip, and Peter cried harder. He rested his cheek against the top of the boys head, and rocked him gently.
-
The bedroom door burst open, making them both jump.
“Tony! You nearly blew the bloody door off!” Loki scowled.
“Don’t exaggerate” he looked at Peter, snug in Loki’s arms. “Have you got all your stuff ready for school?”
Peter seemed to shrink away from him. He stayed quiet.
“I asked you a question, Peter!” Tony snapped.
“Don’t shout at him!” Loki shook his head disapprovingly and hugged Peter tighter. “It’s all ready; don’t you worry about that”
“Good. What do you want for tea?”
“I hadn’t really thought about it” Loki said. “I’ve got my hands full”
Tony sighed. “What’s up with him now?”
“I don’t know yet”
He held Peter protectively, trying to shield him - but Peter had other ideas.
“You’re what’s wrong!” he suddenly shouted. “You’d know that if you cared”
“Sorry, I’m what’s wrong?” Tony said, shocked. “Don’t be ridiculous!”
“I’m not being ridiculous!” Peter shot back. “You could at least admit to how you’ve been acting!”
He tried to pull away, but Loki held onto him, adjusting his hold slightly.
“Peter, stop it” he said. “This isn’t the time for an argument”
“Well, why not?! When is the time?”
“Peter, I said stop”
Peter went quiet, but growled defensively when Tony sat down next to Loki.
“I think we need to talk, don’t you?” he said. He glanced at Loki. “Just the two of us?”
Peter clung to Loki. He had a bad feeling about this.
“Well... I could always go and get started on tea” Loki said, letting go of Peter.
“No! Don’t go!”
Loki couldn’t ignore the urgency in his voice. “What is it?”
“Please don’t leave me alone with him!” Peter begged, keeping tight hold of Loki’s shirt. “He’s gonna do something to me!”
“Oh for gods sake!” Tony fumed. “You’re being ridiculous! You’re just getting all muddled in that silly little mind of yours”
“Tony! Don’t speak to him like that!”
“Like what?! I thought you were going to sort some food out?”
“I’m not leaving, not when he’s scared”
“He’s not scared; he’s just attention seeking!” Tony insisted. He narrowed his eyes at Peter. “You need to start behaving yourself”
In Peter’s ears, that sounded like a threat.
“See?! He’s gonna hurt me if you leave!”
“I’m not gonna hurt you! And if I was gonna smack you - which I should, considering your attitude as of late - I’d have no qualms about doing it in front of your father”
Peter started crying all over again.
“Oh, that’s it; turn on the water-works”
“Tony, that’s enough!” Loki snapped, pulling Peter close. “You’re upsetting him, and I’m not sure I like the look in your eyes either”
There was a short silence, and Tony stood up.
“I’m gonna get started on tea”
“You do that”
-
Peter was more than just a little reluctant about going through to the kitchen for tea, but Loki managed to coax him. There was still a heavy atmosphere between the three of them, and Peter’s spidey senses were still giving him grief. As a result, he couldn’t settle. Everything tasted weird, and his throat was tight, so eating wasn’t easy.
About halfway through the meal, Loki excused himself and stood up.
“W-wait, where are you going?!” Peter squeaked, struggling up and scurrying after him.
“Hey, hey, don’t look so scared!” Loki said, stopping him. “I’m just going to empty my bladder: I’m going to do myself an injury if I hold it any longer. Finish your tea”
He carefully detached Peter’s hands from his shirt. Peter watched the door close behind him. Suddenly the kitchen felt a little too bright, and he became hyper-aware of the fact that Tony had been watching him. He swallowed, his mouth feeling and tasting weird, as though he’d just had a nosebleed.
He snapped round quickly when Tony stood up, and took a few steps back.
“I’m just about sick to death of you, young man” Tony growled. “Now, come here!”
Peter shook his head, his pulse beating in his ears, and took another step back.
“Right”
Tony grabbed hold of him. Ordinarily he wouldn’t have been a match for the boy - but all of Peter’s fight seemed to have disappeared, and all he could do was gasp and flinch as Tony tugged him closer.
“I’m sick of all your attention seeking and drama performances. You need to learn how to behave yourself”
Peter tried to say something - anything - but that familiar horrible feeling was welling in his throat, choking his words as though he were talking to a complete stranger. The seconds seemed to be dragging, and he felt hot and sick and helpless, unable to speak, shaking, but hardly able to move. He tried hard to pull free from Tony’s iron grip - and was suddenly smacked, hard. It made him jump and flinch at the same time, and before he’d really comprehended what had happened, he was over Tony’s lap, and he was smacked again. And again. And again.
It hadn’t always hurt this much, Peter was sure of it. And it definitely didn’t use to make him feel sick like this, or set his senses off like this. And he’d never been so overcome with fear as to cause his selective mutism to act against his parents. He completely froze, stuck, unable to even gasp audibly.
But then he heard footsteps. And the door. And then he was suddenly back on his feet - but only just.
“What the hell is going on here?! It’s no wonder he was so scared earlier if this is the way you’ve decided to treat him!” Loki shouted, putting an arm out to support the trembling Peter. “Those DNA results should have strengthened your bond, if anything:- not made you turn against him!”
“This is nothing to do with that!” Tony insisted. “He doesn’t know how to behave! Cutting discipline out of our parenting-”
“We didn’t cut out discipline! We-” he stopped, looking at Peter. “Are you ok?”
Peter shook his head. He suddenly found his feet, and was out of there in a flash. There was a pause, and then Loki picked up where he left off.
“Just because we stopped smacking him, that doesn’t mean we stopped disciplining him, and you know that as well as I do. And that” he said, gesturing. “Was definitely not what we used to do! I saw, and that was a proper wallop; that wasn’t the kind of thing we ever agreed on. Don’t get me wrong, Anthony: I knew you were going to hit him again sometime soon. But I expected a little spanking, not a good attempt at knocking the living daylights out of the poor thing! What the hell were you thinking?!”
“I don’t know! I was angry! He’s been doing my head in!”
“You’re not allowed to pull that card! It’s no excuse for what you’ve just done! You’re angry at yourself; not him!”
“How’d you work that one out?”
“Because I know you, Anthony Edward Stark! And so I should, considering how long we’ve been together. Peter has not done a single malicious thing since we got those DNA results, unlike you, Mister Stark. Ok, maybe he’s done a few bitchy little things, but only in retaliation to the things you’ve done first. And besides, you’re meant to be the grown-up here: why don’t you try to act like it?”
“...I haven’t been that  bad”
“Is that so? Why don’t we reflect? How about the day we found out? Not forgetting of course your insensitive crack at my infertility, but how about causing an argument over him moving a tub of coffee, which ended in you slapping him across the face? Or how about ignoring all his calls and texts? Sure, you seemed better after that night away, but then you got back to causing arguments and having a go at him for no reason. And-”
“Ok, ok, I get it!” Tony interrupted. “I’m just stressed”
“Oh, and I’m not? Good god. I’m glad he’s going back to school: it’s probably in his best interests to be away from you right now”
There was a short silence.
“I’m not a bad parent, Loki”
Loki looked at him. He looked at the uncertainty on his face, and the tears in his eyes. He kept looking hard at him, and as soon as Tony started crying, he looked away.
“I’m going to go and check on my son” he said, and left Tony to his own devices.
-
Loki fully expected Peter to be cuddled up with his elephant, so he was surprised not to see him there. The en suite was empty, as was the bed - both on and under. He stood for a moment, thinking, and then went to his own room, only to find that empty too. He checked the reading nook, and the garden balcony, and then stopped. He knew where to go.
-
Loki opened the door to the store cupboard by the swimming pool. There, beside the mop buckets under the shelf, was exactly what he was looking for.
“Now, this takes me back” he said gently.
Peter didn’t protest when Loki sat down beside him. He was hugging the May bear, resting his cheek on it’s head. It was made out of a shirt that had been in the box May’s work had given Peter. It usually lived on a shelf, displayed proudly, out of harms way, and Loki had long since learnt how bad a sign it was to find it in Peter’s arms.
“...Do you ever wonder how his dad was with him?” Peter mumbled, breaking a long silence.
Loki paused. “I don’t think all those scars are from adulthood, if that’s what you mean”
“You dad was abusive, right?”
“Odin? Well. Not physically. Mentally, and emotionally, I think... But when your brain is wired as strangely as mine, it’s hard to work out what was wrong and what wasn’t. He was never really a father, not in the right way. I was there for the wrong reasons. He only saved me to use me as a bargaining chip. He never liked me. I don’t care anymore”
“What about your mum?”
“Ah. Well, she was definitely my mother. I suppose a part of me thought she always would be”
“So what happened?”
Loki smiled sadly. “I fell in love. I haven’t seen her since before I moved in with Tony”
“That’s a long time. It’s gotta hurt, right?” he paused. “She wrote to you”
Loki nodded. “She sent a wedding present. From Odin as well, supposedly”
“Did you ever reply?”
“No” Loki sighed. “There comes a time when it just feels pointless. It would be like looking up someone you met once in a pub and trying to have a meaningful conversation”
“Would you see her again? If you had the chance?”
“The way I see it” Loki said. “If she had wanted to stay in my life, she would have made an effort. There’s a lot stopping me from returning to Asgard. Nothing is stopping her from coming to Midgard”
“Does it still bother you?”
“Sometimes”
Peter raised his head, not looking at Loki, but more open now.
“Why do some people have such hard lives?”
“It’s simply the luck of the draw”
“We’ve got dreadful luck”
Loki laughed slightly. “Maybe. But we’ve had some good luck too”
“Maybe...”
“Well, I got to adopt you, didn’t I? Despite the circumstances leading to it, that’s some luck, isn’t it?”
A small smile tugged at Peter’s lips. “Maybe”
Loki looked round the store room. There was time when they spent a considerable amount of time in here together. For whatever reason, after May died, it had become Peter’s hiding place. It had stayed that way for a long time, but now it was a little unusual to find him there, and definitely not a good thing.
“Are you ready to come back upstairs?”
Peter nodded slightly.
“Ok...” Loki picked the boy up carefully, feeling almost as though he’d gone back in time.
-
Loki sat cross-legged on Tony’s bed, watching him carefully. He was sat looking through a photo album, wet tears still on his face.
“I’ve never been great at the hard stuff, have I? I mean... Even that year he came to stay with us, and you were so ill... I didn’t treat you great then, did I? I was kinda dreadful to you at times. And I cracked after May died. I guess we all did, but still... All that year... Even that first Christmas, I was all cross. Overreacting to the curfew thing a bit, I guess. And then when he had that building site accident, and the way he played up at that party, I got all cross about that too”
“We both got cross about the party. He did show us up a bit”
“Mmm... I was rubbish with the Kindsprengen stuff. Well, not the take-down, but the kid bit, especially that first week... And I guess I’m kinda responsible for your downfall after the IVF thing”
“You didn’t force the bottle into my hand”
“No, but I enabled it. I was too busy drowning my own sorrows to even listen to you, so you just did what I was doing. We basically isolated ourselves together. I was bad with the kid then, too. Said I’d keep visiting even though you were ill and couldn’t. And didn’t... Gave him up... Argued a fair bit last Christmas too...”
“What are you thinking?”
Tony lowered the album and looked at Loki.
“I’ve been really bad lately. I don’t think my meds are working anymore. I don’t think they’ve worked for a while now”
Loki didn’t seem to react, but his eyes moved, and they said everything.
“Tomorrow” Tony said. “You know people will rush me through”
He looked back at the album for a moment, and then closed it carefully. Loki watched him get up and put it back on the special shelf with the wedding album.
“Do you think we should do couples counselling? Or, like, family counselling?”
“I think we’d be better off actually talking to each other before dragging someone else into it”
Tony sat back down beside him. “You want to say something else. I can tell”
Loki took a deep breath. “Maybe it’s just as well I’m infertile”
Completely without warning, both men broke down in tears. As if by magnetism, they found themselves in each others arms, and as horrible as they both felt, it was still good to hold each other.
-
Peter looked relieved but reproachful when his door opened.
“I thought you weren’t coming”
“I had a few things to sort out. I thought you might have fallen asleep by now”
“I tried, but... I don’t know. Everything hurts and it’s kinda keeping my mind awake”
Loki picked Peter up and sat down with him in his lap. Neither of them said anything for some minutes.
“...Do you want to sleep in my bed tonight?”
Peter nodded.
“Ok... Grab a cuddly toy”
-
Peter had always liked Loki’s room, and times like this made him regret not taking advantage of being allowed in there so much anymore. It always felt a little ethereal; strange and different, as though it wasn’t really part of the house. It was like a little window into Loki’s mind that showed you what he loved the most, and what made him feel the calmest and safest. It was his comfortable space. Peter couldn’t help but notice how Loki seemed to relax as soon as he closed the door behind them. As though he’d arrived home.
He was quiet. Silent, even. Peter didn’t say anything either. He let Loki set him down on the bed and tuck his toy Peter Rabbit in beside him. He lay there, looking around him while Loki was in the bathroom. Peter liked most everything in this room, from the silken sheets to the family photos, to the old Snoopy on the chair by the wardrobe, to the deep rug by the bed. The only thing he didn’t like was the Betty Boop lamp. None of the little statues bothered him, but the lamp was a big one that was essentially a light up ornament, and it always seemed to watch him. He sat up to look at it - but it wasn’t in it’s usual spot. Looking around, he couldn’t see it on any of the dressers or shelves. He carefully slipped off the bed, curious now - and then froze like a deer in headlights as the en suite door opened.
Loki raised an eyebrow. “Going somewhere, chicken?”
“Your lamp’s gone!”
“Oh? Which one?”
“The Betty Boop on the lamp post one”
“Ah” Loki sighed. “Yes”
“What happened?”
“Well. Your father was showing me his new developments for the Iron Man gauntlets” he said, picking Peter up and putting him back on the bed. “Only it wasn’t perfected, and it malfunctioned a little and fired and... Well. Bye-bye Betty. Beyond repair. Completely shattered”
“That’s awful! Did you cry?”
“Maybe a little” Loki admitted. “So did Tony; he felt awful. He couldn’t find another one online, but I said it didn’t matter either way. Could have been worse, I suppose”
“You really loved that lamp. It took you years to convince him”
“Enough about the lamp, sweetheart. It’s getting on a bit, and you could really do with a good nights sleep” Loki pushed Peter onto his back. “Stay”
Loki turned the night light on and the big light off, and then finally climbed into bed.
“Have you stolen my pig?”
Peter handed it over. “Do I really have to go to school tomorrow?”
“It’s best that you do, darling. No, don’t start fussing. It’s only a few weeks, and then you never have to go again”
“I guess so”
Loki put an arm round Peter, hugging him close. “Goodnight, sweetie”
“Daddy?”
“Mm?”
“You’re the better parent”
Loki closed his eyes. “Go to sleep, chick”

DAY THREE: SONJA
[a/n sad tiem. we’ve got your normal, expected episode three angst + some sonja specific angst! fun stuff. don’t worry, there’s some slight syndisparklez at the end. i’m probably going to start doing the dream scenario chapters next. enjoy! please give me feedback on how you think it could have gone differently!]
 DAY 3: SONJA
Today was supposed to be a good day.
We started the day off with goals; get iron, make beds, and improve the house.
Tucker had just crafted the first chestplate when he announced he was going back into the mine. We didn’t think anything of it; we all had communicators, and he was only strip mining. Besides, it was Tucker. It wasn’t like it was me or anything.
Tom brought up the topic of who we thought would die first. “We’ll take it in turns. Firefoxx, who do you think’s gonna-”
“Tom,” I said immediately. I hardly thought about it. I know he’s good at fighting and all that, but he’s not very good at using his brain or paying attention. Tom has the impulse control of a rat on cocaine.  I figured he would hit a zombie pigman without thinking and die on the spot, or get too greedy and fall in lava while mining diamonds. “You’re too ballsy. You’re just gonna jump in like YOLOOO and you’re gonna- you’re gonna… yeah.”
“That’s what I thought too, but then I remembered Tom telling me about another life he lived doing this and that it went okay for him, so,” Jordan countered.
“Okay, okay, fair… What about you, Sparkly Pants?”
“I don’t know. I think it’ll probably be me,” Jordan admitted. He laughed at himself.
“Really?” I said incredulously. Sparklez? Dying? Sounds fake but okay. Jordan’s wayyy too careful to risk it all, and he knows his stuff. The only way I could really see him dying is if he got caught in the water by skeletons or something where he just couldn’t fight back.
“How do you think you’re going to die?” Tom pressed.
“Ummm…” Sparklez mused for a moment. “I mean, I am about to go out and get some sugar cane.”
“Watch me die right now,” he added, laughing.
Don’t say that, I thought to myself. Jordan hopped into his little boat and sailed away.
“I mean, the only thing that could really happen is if I found one of those guardian temples and got zapped to death and- god dangit my boat broke.”
“Don’t worry, I have enough to make a new one,” he reassured us.
“Nope, he’s stranded, rip in pieces Jordan,” Tucker said.
I opened the chest and found stacks upon stacks of cobblestone. I turned to Tom who was demolishing the house and asked him, “Are you rebuilding this? There’s, like, a bunch of cobble in here.”
Tom continued digging out the sand around that area and scoffed. “I’m not rebuilding it, you are.”
“Oh, so you just destroyed it? That’s what you’re doing. Okay.”
“...... no.” Tom looked kind of guilty for a moment, then sighed. “Sonja, do I look like the destructive type? No.”
“Yes,” we all disputed at the same time.
“Alright,” Tom laughed, conceding.
.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .   .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .
“What if none of us die the whole time?” Sparklez proposed from far off in the ocean somewhere.
“Aww, you just jinxed it!” Tom blamed him
“Why would you say it. Why would you say? That was the one thing nobody was going to bring up and you just- way to go Jordan.” Tucker’s communicator crackled. That happens sometimes when the person gets too far underground.
“Hey Tucker, you brought food, right?” Tom inquired, tapping his comm.
“Uh yeah, I’m almost out, though.”
“Right, come back up here and get some. I am your mother and I’m telling you to get up here right now. I’m getting your packed lunch ready,” Tom said in a joking tone, but he actually started preparing some porkchops for Tucker to take into the mine with him.
“Alright, I’ll be up in a sec. I think I’m pretty close to discovering a system down here,” which, knowing Tucker, meant that he’d mine until he almost fainted, and then drag himself back up 2 hours after that.
“While I’m out here, I might as well look around,” Jordan reasoned. I began planning our new base while Tom went back to check on the crops.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I found… Nothing.” Jordan announced, sounding disappointed.
“Aww.”
“Actually- No wait! I did find a thing. I found an underwater temple!”
“Really?”
“Are you joking?”
I could see Tom’s brain begin to actually process what Jordan had just said. “Wait, wai- th-the temple?”
“The underwater temple with the Elder Guardian in it. You know, the only underwater temple there is?” I could hear Jordan rolling his eyes.
“WH- WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? I-GH-ghah.” Tom facepalmed, rubbing his face in hands. When he looked up at me, he had a clear expression of annoyance on his face.
“Sonja, ask me who you think is going to die first.”
“Who do you think’s gonna die first?”
“Well, there’s this guy named, uh, Captain Sparkly Dick-”
Jordan burst out laughing. Tom started gesturing dramatically. “Who decided to go off in a boat ON HIS OWN, crash it, THEN decided to go adventuring in the water when there’s an insane new mob boss IN THAT WATER.”
“I’m not going to die! It’s not like I’m going to go on in there and be like ‘hey Elder Guardian, what’s good?’” Jordan mocked.
“Alright, just- be careful, alright?” Tom intoned seriously. He looked slightly anxious. “Tucker’s in the mine, Jordan’s in a boat in a Guardian temple, and Sonja’s- Oh, Sonja’s fine.” I genuinely couldn’t tell if he meant for me to hear that or not. It was like he was taking roll. Whether the others heard it or not, they didn’t mention it.
“Oo! I just found lava! And redstone. We’re good, guys.” Tucker announced from the mine.
Tom laughed awkwardly. “Dunno why that’s a thing to celebrate. Unless you’re gonna, like, burn everything down.
“Hey, Tucker, who do you think is gonna die first?” I asked him.
He was quiet for a moment. “Pro’lly you,” he confessed.
“Me?” I repeated, offended. I mean, he was probably right, but I was still offended anyway.
“Listen, Sonj, I love you, I’d give my life for you, buuutttt…. You’re not very good at surviving. You’re better at, like, doing stuff around the base.”
“Not in a sexist way,” he clarified. “Like making it nice and purdy and making sure we can eat and stuff.
I paused in my sapling collecting and thought back to all the times that I relied on Tucker to protect me from stuff. It was a lot.
“If it weren’t for you, we’d probably be dead,” he added.
“Yeah, exactly!” I concurred, liking his addition better than the original implications.
I came back over to the place the Sand Hut once stood. It was completely flattened. Where there had once been a sandbank with a (not so) lovely base made of sand walls now stood some floating furnaces, chests, and a crude (but functional) bed. We had made a pact not to sleep until all of us could. I was only a couple wool away from having four beds.
“Did you level this whole thing?” I gawked.
“Yeah.”
“And I’m supposed to rebuild it? I don’t even know where to begin!”
Jordan cut in. “Wait did you just- completely remove-”
“Yep,” I answered. Jordan chucked.
“The poor sand hut!” he lamented. When he said that, there was a slight whine in my comm. He was getting close to the island again.
“It was shite anyway,” Tom asserted. I made a pouty face and sulked back over to the furnaces and leaned them. I built that thing- with his help. Not completely my fault it looked not so good.
The whine happened again. I could now see Jordan in his boat, wind in his hair and slightly sweaty from rowing.
Tom laughed. “Look at your cape flapping majestically in the wind! You look like a proper adventurer.” Jordan landed, smiling and slightly red in the face, although I didn’t know if it was from exertion or the compliment.
“So how big do you want this place? Not very big, I’m assuming?” I pressed Tom.
He shrugged. “Well, you’re used to not very big, so-”
Tucker’s mic crackled again as he spoke. “WOOWW. What is this? I’m off getting materials and-” All of a sudden, I heard Tucker shrieking “CREEPER!”, and an explosion so loud it caused my comm to spaz out. I felt all the air leave my lungs.
“Tucker?”
“Tucker!”
“TUCKER!?”
“TUCKER!”
We shouted to no avail.
“Maybe- maybe the explosion knocked his mic out, and he’s okay!” Tom said, panicked. He ran in a dead sprint towards the mine. Jordan followed him. I felt frozen in my tracks. Something was crumpling within me. I knew immediately that Tom was wrong. I think that he did, too. I found it in me to follow the boys into the mine. We ran down the stone steps towards where tucker had been. Tom got there before Jordan or I. We both jogged into a small, dark space. We saw Tom, kneeling on the ground, motionless. There was no body (thank god), no remains except for his items dropped on the ground and his hat, which Tom was holding in his hands. I have never seen Tom look more like a zombie than in that moment- cold and dead inside. The only way I was sure that he was still actually alive was the way his chest was rising and falling rapidly. I, on the other hand, couldn’t breathe. The need for oxygen was gone. The three of us stood there for a while, might have been 10 minutes,  staring at the stuff on the ground and the crater in the walls. Abruptly, Jordan scooped everything into his inventory and straightened up.
“I-I can’t take it anymore. I need some air,” he said shortly, and went back up the stairs.
“So do I,” I managed to say. I pulled Tom up by his collar; it was doing no good for him to sit down here and rot. He followed without protest.
We made it up to the surface. I saw Jordan sitting on the grass. I joined him, plopping down without saying anything. Tom did the same, putting his face in his hands. I finally found it in me to breathe. The sunlight felt nice on my skin.
“We’re a man down,” croaked Tom. I noticed a lump in his throat.
“How are we going to defeat all the bosses and stuff now?  We’ve only got three people,” Jordan said quietly.
“We’ve got the Ender Dragon, the Elder Guardian, and the Wither, and-” Tom looked like he was freaking out.
“I’m like, .5 of a person,” I admitted. Jordan laughed humorlessly.
“You might as well get on that boat, and- and sail outta here!” Tom snapped.
“Woah.” I stepped back, kind of hurt. I was really taking some blows today. Jordan put an arm around me protectively and looked at Tom reproachfully.
Tom blinked. “I’m sorry,” he apologized, looking bewildered. “I didn’t mean that. I was just-”
He pulled on his hair. Tom lashes out when he’s feeling emotional. This was the most vulnerable I had ever seen him. His pitch black eyes were glittering with tears. His voice wobbled when he spoke. He seemed very close to breaking apart.
“We need to do something. To honor him,” Tom propositioned. Jordan and I nodded gravely.
“Pour one out?” Jordan joked awkwardly. He really didn’t seem to like the atmosphere that had set upon us, so he took it upon himself to lighten the mood. Tom made a weird noise that was like a cross between a laugh and a cry.
“I’m going to build him a grave.” He stood up, took some cobblestone, and crafted a suitable headstone for our fallen friend. He placed three walls on the ground with a post on top of the middle. He put the hat on top of the post sacredly, like it was an offering to a god.
And as I was staring at it, I couldn’t help but make the observation.
It looks like a dick.
But I couldn’t say that.
Because there’s no one for me to make dick jokes with anymore.
.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .   .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .
Tom rubbed his hands in his face and sighed. He stared at Tucker’s grave, shaking his head. “What have I been saying? Don’t go in on your own! He kept adventuring on his own!”
“I don’t know that bringing another person would have helped, though. It probably would have just killed both of us,” Jordan brought up. Tom shuddered.
.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .   .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .
Not a lot happened after that. I went back to working on the house with Jordan’s help this time, and Tom went back down into the mine.
“I just want to check it out some more,” he claimed. While he was down there, he figured he could probably mine a bit. I think that Mianite or Dianite or Ianite or somebody was looking down on us at that moment, because not long after that Tom found twelve diamonds. Twelve. Diamonds. It should have been a happy moment, but it was ruined by the gravity
Tom emerged from the mines just as I finished placing chests in the new house. I was pretty happy with it. If there were two things I was good at, they were animal breeding and house making. I have a natural eye for symmetry and details that the boys missed somehow.
“Woah, it looks amazing, guys!” Tom said, impressed. He seemed to be in a slightly better mood. I smiled to myself.
“Thanks.” I started making beds, and was about to place them down when I noticed that I had made four out of habit. My heart sank all over again. I pushed the fourth bed into the corner. It reminded me of the lonely pig Jordan made fun of Tucker trying to shove into the pit a couple days ago. I put three beds in the center of the room.
“I’m completely shot,” Tom announced, kicking off his shoes and passing out on the bed in the middle. Jordan chuckled and clambered in next to him, maintaining a reasonable distance from Tom. I curled up on the left, near the bed that should have had my boyfriend in it.
“Let’s all cuddle together,” suggested Tom. I had no clue if he’s serious or not. I think it was one of those “what if… ha ha… unless?” type things.
“No thanks,” Jordan replied calmly, setting his glasses down on the furnace next to his bed.
“Aww, come on, Jordy poo, you know you love me.”
Jordan stayed silent, provoking Tom to wiggle up next to him. Jordan sighed defeatedly, looking up at our stone ceiling. He actually let Tom stay there for the rest of the night. Tom and I were both surprised by this- Jordan’s a fan of his personal space. I guess that he recognized that Tom needed comfort tonight. Maybe he secretly enjoys it (I think he does). Whatever the case was, I ended up getting quite a bit of space to myself. I didn’t really appreciate it, though.
.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .   .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .
I lay awake that night, thinking about what Tom and Tucker had said about my contributions to the team.
I knew that I wasn’t good at fighting, so I stuck with what I was good at; raising animals, tending to crops, cooking the food, and letting the boys do all the dirty work. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing that stuff, but at the same time, I sometimes want a little more. But whenever I tried to help them,  I just got in the way. Was I really just deadweight? I certainly felt like it sometimes. Especially on the old island.  I felt like baggage, or more accurately, the lesser child. Mianite saw Tucker as the straight A son with a sports scholarship, and me as the daughter who really wasn’t good for anything except for occasionally helping Tucker. I didn’t direct that frustration towards my boyfriend- he did nothing wrong except for maybe not share some glory every once and awhile- , but it was still there. And Tom’s snide comments did nothing to help this.
Speaking of Tom, I could hear him snoring softly. Clearly the trauma of today wasn’t too much to keep Tom from conking out almost immediately. I rolled over and smiled slightly. I was grateful that Tom was directing his total lack of respect for personal space at Jordan and not me. Jordan was lying on his back, hands folded on his stomach and eyes staring at the ceiling.
“Sparklez?” I whispered.
“Yeah?”
“Do you… really think I'm useless?” It just sort of came out without me thinking.
Jordan was silent for a second, then answered, “No, of course not.”
“Okay. I know I’m not Tucker, but…”
“Sonja, you’re fine. Go to sleep,” Jordan said sleepily. I rolled back over. If there was one thing Jordan isn’t good at, it’s emotions. Specifically dealing with them, whether they belonged to him or someone else. I noticed he hadn’t done much outward processing of Tucker's death yet. He mostly kept quiet unless he was asking me where things should go or one-word replies to whatever Tom said. He didn’t strike me as a guy you could go to with your problems, unless they dealt with redstone or general crafting knowledge.
That’s something else I’m good at that no one else on the team is. I’m good at empathy. But what do the empathetics do when they need comfort?
Turn to an empty bed, I guess.
Well, there’s only one person left who hasn’t written, and it’s Tom. So he’ll probably pick back up in the morning.
~Sonja.

When was the last time you let someone know you truly love him/her? Today.
Do you complain when you are bored, or look for something to do? Sometimes, but usually I just still do the things I normally do. Sometimes those things just don’t cut it, though, and I end up lying around watching mindless TV or sleeping. That’s usually when I’m just extra moody or feeling extra sad and down and don’t feel like doing anything.
Do other people’s complaints ever get on your nerves? Yes. If someone is constantly complaining about everything that gets real annoying real fast. I try not to complain a lot. I keep a lot to myself or save it for a survey, ha.
Generally, what is your favorite ride at an amusement park? I used to like the water rides, you know like the Splash Mountain type rides or the ones that are like white water rafting. I like the swing ride, too. I’m not into the water rides anymore, though. That doesn’t leave much for me at most amusement parks. I love Disneyland because there’s so many rides and I can enjoy a lot of them. There’s so much for me to do.
Who is your favorite 90’s musical artist? I love a lot of music from the 90s.
Do you think that music was better when your parents were young, or now? I enjoy various genres and songs across the decades.
How did you develop your specific taste in music? My parents, grandparents, what was popular, and discovering stuff on my own.
If you drink coffee, how do you like it (with cream, black, etc)? Flavored creamer or cream and sugar.
Did your parents sign you up for things like piano lessons and ballet? I did some piano lessons.
What is your favorite children’s song? Nursery rhymes and songs from what I watched as a kid. I was a hardcore Barney fan haha.
Are you good at telling jokes? I’m the worst haha.
Are you uptight, or are you easy going? I think I come off easy going to people that don’t know me well. And I can be with certain things. Like while on vacation or deciding on what to do, I’m a go with the flow kind of person and just go along for the ride so to speak. However, I’m a moody person that gets irritable, frustrated, and overwhelmed. My family wouldn’t say I’m easy going ha.
Other than gas, what do you frequently purchase at a gas station? I don’t purchase gas cause I don’t drive, but I like getting coffee or a Starbucks Doubleshot energy drink sometimes.
What is one concern you have about the present state of the world? The corona virus. Even though it’s like the flu, which is also a serious concern every year and we need to take the same precautions. I guess cause it’s like the newest thing and it’s being talked about constantly, so it’s become a big issue.
Ten years ago, did you think that this was how the world would turn out? I’m not sure how I thought it would turn out. I don’t think I gave it much thought.
Ever think you might be better off living in a different time period? No.
Do you drink regular or diet soda? I’d go for the regular if I’m going to drink one.
What CDs would you take with you on a road trip? I wouldn’t. I have Spotify.
Think of your favorite band? What album by them is your LEAST favorite? I don’t have just one favorite band.
Have you seen your favorite band in concert? If so, how was it? I’ve seen some of them.
Do you walk regularly? No. Or at all.
Did you take a Health class in high school? How was it? Yeah, freshman year. I liked parts of it because we talked about psychology and stuff.
If you could have the answer to one question, what question would that be? Hmm.
Do you like any bands from other countries? Yeah.
When was the last time you mailed a handwritten letter? I have no idea.
Do you still receive Christmas cards? Yeah, a couple.

Duet
Rocker and the Mechanic - Chapter 18 (Previous Chapters)
Rated: T
Fandom: Sing 2016 AU
Pairing: Johnny x Ash (Jash)
Chapter Summary: Johnny's solo performance behind them, Ash finds out Johnny is a better duet partner than Lance ever could dream of being.

A03
The roar of the audience slowly drowned out and Ash still couldn't take her eyes off of him.
A part of her was still somewhat peeved at his brazen move but most of her was just so fucking proud. To show it, Ash flashed him her first genuine smile in quite some time - and Johnny instantly returned it. If you told Ash yesterday that she'd meet and subsequently perform with a ridiculously handsome gorilla - she would have flipped you off and called you crazy but where she was standing now - she couldn't be more pleased at how her night turned out.
The way the corners of his eyes crinkled or how he smiled with his white canines on full display, she didn't bother masking her own smile and could care less at how seeing such an expression on his handsome face was something she wouldn't mind seeing everyday…
Shaking her head slightly to rid her of such illustrious thoughts, she instead asked, "Ready, Johnny?" while switching her microphone on. The gorilla did the same - not realizing or caring that his end was on before answering her.
"Hell yeah!" His voice echoed loudly throughout the auditorium and even in his mild embarrassment, no one seemed to care. The audience merely laughed and clapped while the cat-calling of Noodleman's geriatric group only intensified as he flashed the crowd an a shy smirk.
Ash just chuckled under her breath before strumming the familiar chords of the first song on their set. A number her and Lance sang together at one point in time but with their relationship crumbled to dust beneath her feet, it held a completely different meaning to her now. Yet this time as the lyrics poured from her throat and Johnny joined in effortlessly for the chorus, she found the pain that was usually there when she sang this set by herself was completely absent. She denied it was because of how Johnny locked eyes with her as they sang; their voiced melding into one and even in the drowning beat of music and the pounding of her lungs from the proximity of the speakers, but even she didn't believe that lie anymore.
Taking a moment, Ash flashed Johnny a tight smile as he continued his verse and she didn't even fight back her blush when he suddenly winked at her.
---------- o0O0o -----------
It seemed like only seconds had passed, but one song turned into five - the set more than halfway complete and it was during that time when Ash realized how different it was to sing with Johnny.
With Lance, it was always a fight.
Duets for them was more a struggle for dominance. Fingers bruised against the steel strings, proud voice growing hoarse and raw to be heard above the increasing volume on his microphone and speakers until it was glorified screaming over the other. It was not a duet, it was a struggle to come out on top - to prove to him and mostly herself that she deserved to be heard even if he refused that notion one too many times. Pushing her to sing backup rather than by his side even if she fought tooth and nail to stay next to him - a battle no one, especially her, ever won.
Yet a few songs with Johnny proved to be the complete opposite.
Ash didn't have to fight him. His voice was strong, yes, powerful and sensual in his smooth rhythm of his mouth but not overwhelming. His steady dulcet tones and gentle rhythm melded with hers. His voice was working with her - not against her - both of them staying at the same level or giving and taking fluidly unlike the battle waged between her and Lance's every time they performed together. She internally argued perhaps it was because their varying styles and Johnny's milder tone but she knew it was a farce.
Johnny was simply doing what a duet partner was supposed to do - and it shook her to her core that she didn't have to fight anymore. Johnny may have been a talented novice but he even understood how a duet worked...something Lance in all his self-proclaimed "musical genius" never could comprehend. And as they continued, their voices melding effortlessly, Ash slowly felt the hole Lance had left inside of her heart slowly start to stitch itself back together.
---------- o0O0o ------------
The latter part of their set quickly was coming to an end and Ash had no idea how or why she decided she was comfortable enough with him to humor Johnny with his piano prowess she didn't know existed until he touched the ivory keys. But here she was, nearing the end of their performance, sitting atop the piano and strumming her guitar while Johnny playing along as they shared the microphone between them.
All too soon it seemed, their latest song ended. The last note giving way to the excited audience and their claps and cheers drowning out the abrupt lack of music.
Ash flashed Johnny a quick smile from atop that piano, ready to climb down and finish the last song of their set when Johnny suddenly leaned forward.
In that split second, Ash wondered what he was doing; his handsome face quickly nearing her own. She wondered if he was going to kiss her and she knew right then that even if they were still basically strangers, that she would let him but he pushed past her, his cheek brushing her own and she held back a shiver when his soft gray skin brushed her thin fur and his hot breath skirted over her ear and spines. Something akin to disappointment swirled in her chest but she ignored it when he suddenly spoke in a hushed whisper.
"Hey, uh, before we finish off the set, would ya mind if we sang 'Love Me Anyway'? I-I think we'd do it well and I know how to play it." Johnny's request was made quietly against her ear and away from their shared microphone where no one but them could hear.
Ash's spines bristled and she swore to herself it was the question and not how good his heated breath felt against her throat that caused it.
But in that horrifyingly abrupt moment, she realized that Johnny must have found her personal playlist she forgot she had on her phone. All her mopey romantic love ballads she found herself listening to; her 'sobbing sad sack' list she made when Lance broke up with her when she was desperately trying to hold on to something as her heart shattered like glass in her chest. A sudden anger at him flared up when she realized he'd seen that list and went through it but she knew if she refused, he wouldn't fight it. She argued that perhaps he requested it simply because it was one of the very few actual duets on that list - but that didn't make the sudden pain constricting in her chest to lessen.
But she reasoned that maybe singing something off that list would finally coerce her to finally delete it and surreptitiously wash Lance out of her subconscious…at least for tonight. And Johnny had been a great sport singing some of her rougher rock pieces so she supposed she could humor him with one song he wanted.
"Sure." she sighed, "Just don't fuck it up," she slowly pulled back from his warmth and she felt her heart slam against her chest when he sent her a dizzying smile.
"I'll try not to," he chuckled.
Ash, realizing this song was purely piano, turned down her guitar before resting her hands on her well used Fender and watched silently as Johnny looked down at the ivory keys for only a moment before his fingers found their perch and he started playing the song flawlessly.
Would this guy ever cease to amaze her?
"Even if you see my scars, even if I break your heart; If we're a million miles apart, do you think you'd walk away?" Ash slowly sang into their shared microphone, her voice increasing as she grew more comfortable; she was so unused to singing such tender ballads but she pushed through. Left to simply look at Johnny's face and his long fingers moving beautifully over the white keys.
"If I get lost in all the noise, even if I lose my voice… Flirt with all the other boys, what would you say?" She sang with a smile when Johnny's coffee-tinted eyes rose to meet hers and she was surprised she could keep singing with the intense look he was giving her. Astonished was the only word she could describe the look but she doubted that would do it justice.
"Could you? Could yooou? Could you…love me anyway?" her voice tapered off and she opened her mouth to continue, but bit her tongue and held back a smile when Johnny broke in, changing the lyrics flawlessly to the obvious female part.
"Is it for better or for worse, or am I just your good time boy? Can you still hold me when it hurts, or would you walk away?" He sang beautifully regardless, sending her a cheeky smile, his canines gleaming in the intense spotlight and she wasn't sure the ache in her chest was from nervousness anymore.
"Even if I scandalize you, cut you down and criticize you - " She joined him and it still shook her the harmony their voices took on even as they neared the end of their set.
"Tell a million lies about you, what would you say?" she sang by herself before he joined in, "Could you? Could you? Could you? …Could you love me anyway?"
"Aww, could you?" Johnny's voice broke away to follow her. "Could you?"
"Could you love me anyway? ...Could you?" she finished by herself and listened as he played them to the outro of the song. Mesmerized at his talented fingers and surprised when his eyes were on hers even as the piano and its chords intensified to the bridge of the song.
"Could you?" she sang as Johnny echoed and followed with, "Ooh, could you still love me?"
"Could you?" the same pattern continued, their voiced growing stronger, "Pick up the pieces of me?"
"Could yoooou?" Ash vocalized the last word loudly, falsetto vibrato melding with Johnny's raspy tones.
"Could you still love me?" Johnny tapered off, their eyes locked on the others as they continued.
"Could you love me anyway?" she sang before they repeated that same bridge. "Could you?"
"Could you catch me when I fall?" Johnny's vocals increased as the song demanded and she fought the urge to smile, nearly shaking her head at just how incredible he sounded when he wasn't holding back.
"Could you?" Ash increased her volume, a push and pull as Johnny lowered so her voice would shine through. "And we rise above it all!" their tones and words blending as if they practiced this song a hundred times.
"Could you?" she rose above his cadence until he throatily sang his final verse. "And hold me when it hurts…" The look in the gorilla's eyes as he completed the last line to leave the rest to her as the song demanded, his fingers pressing on the final chords and watched her with bated breath as her powerful voice echoed through the room.
"I can't stay here in the world - could you?…Could you…?" She finished the song alone, the soprano note she hit echoing and fading with the piano. Chest heaving, Ash watched the shifting emotions in Johnny's eyes and the soft upturn of his lips as he returned her gaze. His fingers slowly tapering off the piano until silence reigned only lost to the pounding of her heart and the deafening roar of the audience.

You walked through the streets, looking at the signs of addresses. Not much longer and you stopped in front of a small restaurant. You had never been in there, to be honest, you had never been in these parts, but it was the address Onew had given you.
You smiled as you thought about it, you would finally see him face-to-face. After countless messages, calls and talks through Skype, you were more than ready to meet him. Honestly, you had developed a big crush on him. He was kind and loving, and cute.
You looked at your phone, checking the last message he had sent that said the address and time to be there. It was already somewhat late, but you didn’t think too much of it. Then, a new message popped up on your screen. You smiled as you saw Onew’s name and a text that said: “Sorry, I’m nearly there!”
You took a deep breath. Suddenly you felt really nervous. What if your outfit wasn’t good enough? You wanted to look nice so you picked a somewhat tight black cocktail dress, boots and a leather jacket topping it. What if your hair wasn’t done well? It was pretty casually done. What if he wouldn’t like you? You had been talking, but what if seeing you would change his mind? You inhaled and exhaled slowly, trying to calm yourself down. Then, you heard someone call your name.
You looked to your left, seeing a figure almost running to you. You would’ve recognized that person anywhere.
   “Onew!”
Onew slowed down as he was nearly next to you, his signature wide and bright smile framing his face. He was even more handsome in person. His dark hair was styled up and his skin nearly glowed under the dim streetlight. You glanced at his outfit, a leather jacket, red button-up shirt and then a black t-shirt under it all, his leg covered in ripped black jeans. He looked much more casual than you.
“Hi!” he spoke eagerly. “I hope you didn’t wait for too long… Something came up…”
“Oh no! I’ve been here only for a few minutes”, you explained.
He gave you a worried look, but you smiled back, reassuring him that everything was okay. He seemed to understand as he nodded his head.
“I’ve never been here”, you spoke hesitantly.
“Oh?” Onew tilted his head to the side cutely. “Sorry, I hope you didn’t have a hard time finding this place. It’s just… It’s a nice restaurant for… us.”
You narrowed your eyes at the tone of his voice, it felt like he wasn’t telling everything. However, you shook the thought off your head and rationalized it by thinking he was simply shy.
You smiled again. “It’s okay. I like finding new places.”
“Well”, Onew began. “Let’s go inside.”
-
How long had it been? You didn’t even know. You had talked and eaten with Onew, well more like you ate and he just picked on his food but you didn’t mind it, and it was more perfect than you thought it could’ve been. You knew already so much about him, but you had learned even more with this date. But, you still couldn’t push off the feeling that he was hiding something. You didn’t know what or why, but it was there.
“So that tall guy is your roommate?” you asked Onew, referring to a man you saw a few times in his apartment as you skyped.
“Hmm? Oh, Minho!” he nodded. “Yes, we have lived together for some time. We have… something in common.”
“What is it?” you asked curiously.
Suddenly, Onew’s eyes opened wide and he seemed to get nervous. “Uh… We just have the same… taste?”
You raised your brow but decided not to ask further. You didn’t want to make him uncomfortable.
“Uh… did I already tell you that you look pretty?” Onew said out of the blue.
You raised both of your eyebrows as you were caught off guard. “Aww. You think so?”
   “Yes…”
You smiled brightly, “You look really handsome yourself.”
“I… Really?” he blinked a few times as if he couldn’t believe his ears.
“Yes”, you spoke firmly and smiled.
Onew went quiet for a little bit, looking down to his uneaten and most likely cold food. You tilted your head slightly to the side, observing him carefully. You could see his Adam's apple move as he swallowed nervously and his chest rising and falling irregularly like he was focusing on his breathing.
“Did I say something wrong?” you asked worriedly.
Onew quickly shot his head up, his eyes wide open. He shook his head furiously.
“No!” he spoke with a shaky voice. “I was just… Um… I was taken aback.”
You tilted your head to the side as you were confused. “Are you okay Onew? You look a little pale.”
He raised both of his brows and then let out a nervous chuckle.
“I am a little sick”, he said. “But it’s nothing bad, I’m okay.”
You narrowed your eyes and opened your mouth to speak but decided not to say anything. It seemed like he didn’t want to talk about it.
Suddenly he looked at the clock, his eyebrows furrowing. You blinked your eyes curiously.
“Ah, it’s pretty late…” he sighed. “I should probably go home.”
Your eyes shot wide open. You didn’t want this night to end, not so quickly. There was so much you wanted to do. You were so shocked that you didn’t even realize the words that were coming out from your mouth.
“Already? B-but I still want to talk…” you said with a tone that was a mix of shock and sadness.
Onew looked at you with surprised eyes. “This place will shut down very soon”, he said. “We’d have to go home eventually.”
“Then”, you began. Your mind had only one option, only one thing you wanted. “Do you want to come to my place?”
The man in front of you looked clearly taken aback by your offer, but you wouldn’t take it back. You wanted to be with him as much as possible. You weren’t sure why you were so drawn to him, but you knew you didn’t want to let him go, not yet.
“Are you sure?” he asked carefully. “Wouldn’t it be weird, since we just met…”
“I have known you for a while, Onew”, you spoke. “I trust you.”
He stared at you from his seat, but his eyes wandered as he thought. He swallowed slowly, then looked back at you with a serious look.
   “Okay. Let’s go then.”
-
How did it happen?
After going away from the restaurant, you took a cab to your apartment. You went inside and Onew asked you if he could come in. You raised your brow but obviously said yes. He took his leather jacket and gloves off, and so did you. You introduced the little place you lived in. Onew thought it was cute and cozy. It all was innocent enough.
So how did you end up being pressed against a wall of your bedroom, your arms around Onew’s neck as he held you and trailed soft kisses around your jawline?
   “Onew…” you sighed.
“You smell so nice”, he mumbled between his little kisses that got all of your senses alerted.
He hadn’t touched your lips yet, as if he was saving it for something. He kissed your cheek, your chin, the corner of your mouth, and eventually, your neck.
You took a deep breath when his soft lips touched your sensitive skin. He let his lips stay on your neck for a moment, his breathing tickling you. You tried not to leave a sound, but it was difficult. You heard him groan softly and he lifted his head just an inch. You swallowed a knot in your throat.
“I need to...” Onew spoke with a raspy voice.´
Suddenly he took a step back and let go of you. You opened your eyes and looked at him in slight shock. He was covering his mouth with his hand while his eyes looked down, away from you.
“What’s wrong?” you asked with a worried tone. “Did… did I do something wrong?”
He shook his head but turned his back on you. “No. I just can’t… You smell too good…”
You furrowed your brows as you stared at the man, well his back.
“What do you mean?” you asked while you took a step closer to him. “Do you not want me?”
“That’s not it!” Onew turned to look at you. His eyes seemed darker than before, almost sinister. “I want you, badly. And that’s the problem…”
Now you were confused, what could he possibly mean?
   “I don’t understand”, you admitted.
Onew took a deep breath and his kind expression returned to his face. “I don’t want you to see a side of me, not yet…”
“I trust you, Onew”, you reassured him, placing your hand on his cheek. “I don’t know what this side of you is, but I know it can’t be anything too bad.”
Onew sighed, closing his eyes as he leaned against your hand. He shortly shot his eyes open and held his index finger at you to gesture you to wait as he walked away from the room for something. You raised your brow, peaking at his direction. He came back quickly, holding something in his hand.
He stood in front of you, his eyes staring at yours.
Onew took his hand out at you. “Could you wear this?”
You eyed his face until you looked at his hand where he was squeezing a piece of fabric, gently. He grabbed the ends with his both hands, stretching it out. It was a black laced cloth. He held it at your eyes level like he was going to wrap it around you.
“Is that…?” you looked back up to Onew’s eyes. He stared you back.
“Yes”, he spoke the simple word.
Your eyes went back to the black blindfold in his hands. The fact that he had a blindfold just in his pocket aside, it felt suspicious that he would already be offering something risky like that. However, a part of you was excited about the idea of him using the laced blindfold on you. You took your bottom lip between your teeth. You nodded your head slowly.
   “Yes, I could.”
Your answer seemed to relieve Onew as his nervous expression turned more relaxed. He gently lifted the cloth close to you and you shut your eyes before he pressed the soft fabric at your skin. His kind fingers wrapped and tied the blindfold around your head, making you exhale slowly.
“Is it too tight?” you heard him speak.
“No”, you answered. Trying to open your one eye under the blindfold, you noticed you could see through it slightly as it was laced, but not clear enough to tell your surrounding exactly.
“Good.” You could hear Onew’s voice closer to you until you felt his breath tickle your ear. “Now let me continue.”
Those words made your skin prickle. You bit your bottom lip again in the excitement of what was about to happen.
You felt Onew’s soft lips on your earlobe, then your jaw and the kisses traced to the corner of your mouth. Then he leaned away, and you pouted from the lack of his lips on you. However, you wouldn’t need to wait longer as he attached his lips to your sensitive neck. You moved your shoulder a bit but tried not to react too strongly as he kissed and sucked your neck gently. You left out a shaky breath while he traced kisses up and down your neck.
Then you felt his hot mouth on your skin more, and something harder. He had gently pressed his teeth against your flesh, dragging them carefully down to your shoulder. You let out a soft sigh. It sounded as if Onew moaned and, hissed? But he then pulled back again, much to your disappointment.
Onew pressed his face against yours next to your ear and you could almost hear him growl.
“You smell so good”, he spoke with a clear lustful tone. “I’m going crazy!”
You didn’t know where you got the courage to speak, and much less the words you did.
   “Then… take me.”
Suddenly, it felt like the whole world went quiet. You couldn’t hear Onew breathe or move for a moment. It was just a few seconds, but it felt like long minutes. Suddenly, he crashed his lips to yours for a heated kiss, roaming his hands on your sides. You moaned inside the kiss, feeling your hands on his arms.
Onew reached his hands to the hem of your tight dress, lifting it up to expose your lower body. Fast he worked his way to your ass, giving it a hard squeeze. Feeling his hands in your body felt amazing, and you couldn’t wait to feel just how skilled he was with them.
The man then slid the hands under your dress, lifting it up to your chest. You got the hint and raised your arms as he broke the kiss and pulled the black clothing over your head, probably tossing it somewhere on the floor since his hands were right back at your newly exposed skin and his lips were quickly on yours again.
You shivered because of the lack of clothes mixed with Onew’s hands slowly feeling you. His fingertips brushed the back of your bra, until he unclasped them open, but didn’t take the clothing off yet. You tried to feel his chest, going down to his stomach and then your sensitive fingertips touched his jeans. You thought of trying to open the button, but before you could, Onew leaned away and pushed you roughly on the bed, getting on top of you.
“No” he growled lowly against your ear. “I’m in control.”
You swallowed slowly. It was like he was a different man all of a sudden. It gave you chills through your whole body, making all the little hairs stand up. But you would be lying if you said you didn't like it because you were more turned on than ever.
   “Y-yes sir!” you whimpered.
“Good”, his voice was even darker than before.
And so he leaned away from you, hooking his fingers on the straps of your bra, pulling them roughly down your arms and off you completely.
You felt his lips on your breast the second after as he bit the side gently. Then he cupped your breasts with his cold hands and rubbed against your hard nipples with his thumbs.
You could feel his lower body grind against your thigh. Something hard was pressing against you and you couldn’t wait to know what it was.
His left hand suddenly moved down from your chest to your stomach, to your pelvis. His fingertips brushed at the waistband of your panties.
   “Please, Onew…” you moaned softly.
He didn’t say anything, simply hummed in response while his hand went inside your panties straight to your folds. You gasped at his touch.
“You’re wet”, Onew said with a somewhat amused tone.
You couldn’t speak as he rubbed you, all there. His finger poked at your entrance before he pushed that finger in. You tried to breathe calmly.
Without much warning, he added another finger, and it already felt too much for you. You bit your swollen bottom lip while Onew thrust his fingers in and out of you. His skilled hand worked on you while his other finger pinched your left nipple, bringing you pure bliss.
“I, please Onew I-“ you whined loud.
“What?” Onew asked, but it was clear he knew what you wanted.
“I can’t take this, please…” you moaned again as he added a lot of pressure to your g-spot.
“Please what?” he pressed his body against you, and you felt he was still fully clothed.
“Please, fuck me!” You felt your cheeks heat up as you realized that you were begging for this person you just met face to face, to have sex with you. But now was not the time to be rational, you wanted him, you wanted him so badly.
You could hear Onew leave out a chuckle and so he took his fingers out of you and stepped off the bed. The fact that you couldn’t see what he was doing and had to rely on your other senses made everything more exciting.
You could hear the rumbling of clothing and then what sounded like a zipper undone. You took a deep breath. Then there was a sound that reminded you of pants dropping down. Your breathing got heavy as you nervously waited for something to happen.
You heard as Onew groaned slightly before he walked back near the bed. You moved your head and tried to see something through the blindfolds but could only see Onew’s figure. He hooked one finger in your panties and tugged slightly. You licked your lips, moving your hips so the panties would come off. Onew then grabbed them with his both hands and pulled them all the way down your legs and off you.
You gasped as he settled himself between your legs, and you could clearly feel his hardness touching your inner thigh.
   “O-Onew…” you nearly moaned.
Onew pressed his torso against your body and you could feel his own skin. He was naked, on top of you. He went in to kiss your neck again while he did grind his lower body on you, making you go insane as right then you simply wanted him to pound you into the mattress. But he was taking his time, oh he wanted to tease.
“P-please…” you tried to speak through your erratic breathing.
“Yes?” Onew spoke in between kisses.
   “I want you…” you confessed.
He chuckled into your skin, licking the area above your collarbones slowly. Your whole body shivered. You were about to go crazy because of all this teasing.
“Baby, you smell so delicious”, Onew said. “I want to taste you.”
You didn’t know how to respond since your mind was all clouded with so many senses being triggered. And to make it worse, Onew brought his hand down and helped his tip to your entrance. You felt Onew’s face at your ear again.
“Are you ready for me, baby?” he whispered.
You couldn’t speak properly at first but then whimpered a soft but clear “yes” as you nodded your head.
Onew wasted no time, as right after your answer he pushed slowly in you. Your mouth opened wide from the feeling of his size. He was big, bigger than you imagined. He groaned while he pushed as deep as he could.
   “You’re so tight…” he noted.
“Ah, Onew…” you managed to whimper. Your mind was getting blank as you could only focus on the feeling of this man inside you.
He stayed like that for a moment to let you adjust to his size. He grabbed your hands and threw them above your head as he then leaned down to kiss your lips. You moaned softly into the kiss, slightly moving your hips to create any friction.
Onew pulled back, but only so little that you still could feel his breath on your face.
“A little eager, are we?” he asked with an amused tone.
You felt your cheeks heat up and you simply nodded firmly.
“Relax”, his voice suddenly turned gentle. “It will feel nice.”
And without teasing you more, Onew pulled his hips back and then pushed them against you again. He started with a slow pace. Still having your hands locked above your head, he moved the best he could.
You did as he told and tried to relax your tensed muscles and as he continued to move at a slower pace, it felt nicer with each thrust. With a deep breath, you relaxed. It did feel nice, as he said.
   “That’s it baby”, Onew murmured.
His hips’ movement turned faster, and it seemed, deeper. Your back rubbed against the mattress as Onew fucked you, still holding your arms above your head. He kissed you again, but it was sloppy and went to your neck. You whimpered silently.
Onew let go of your hands and picked up his pace. You wrapped your arms around his neck, while he took you harder. He growled lowly into your neck, his hips not stopping. It was an amazing feeling having him thrust into you this well. It was something you had never felt before. You didn’t want it to end.
You felt his skin and heard his voice, the noises he was making. They sounded so lovely, yet so arousing. His length filled you perfectly, making you feel his every thrust. You didn’t want it to end yet.
But you could feel the tension growing at your abdomen, and that meant the climax was close. You moaned while Onew was moving harder, his breathing erratic.
“Do you like it, baby?” he asked you. “Do you like when I’m fucking you like this?”
At that moment, he slammed his hips into you harder than before, hitting that right spot inside you. You gasped loudly, nodding your head to let him know how much you liked it. Onew chuckled, doing that move again. It drove you much closer to the edge.
You could feel as Onew leaned up and grabbed your legs to put on his shoulders, fixing his position. The change put you into an angle where his every thrust hit you in all the right places. You were a whimpering and moaning mess at this point, and everything you could concentrate to was the burning feeling between your legs.
“You’re close”, Onew suddenly spoke. “I can sense it.”
You could only moan in response, barely even understanding what he was saying while the sensation was getting bigger. Onew thrust into you harder, making you move an inch on the bed. You nearly cried out his name as he did.
“Come for me baby”, Onew said, but it was more a demand than a suggestion. “Now!”
He had brought his hand down to your clit, pressing it hard. With a few more thrusts and rubs of your throbbing clit, you felt the tension rising as you hit your orgasm.
It was more powerful than you had ever felt, making you clench the sheets so that your knuckles would go white, screaming out Onew’s name.
Onew leaned down to you, kissing your neck.
Your walls clenched around Onew’s cock, making his breath shaky. His thrusts were getting sloppier and his hands were grabbing the sheets just next to your head.
“Fuck”, he growled. “I can’t wait any longer… I have to taste you!”
You couldn’t process properly what he was saying, as you were still coming down from your high. But there wasn’t much time for you to even think for long because suddenly, you could feel a stinging pain around your right collarbone. You gasped and whined from the unexpected pain, and the blindfolds were still covering your vision. It was as if Onew was sucking that spot, but that could’ve not been the reason for the pain, right?
Whatever it was, it was giving you weird pleasure, but also you could feel yourself fading. The orgasm and now this weird sensation, you were falling asleep already. You couldn’t control it.
Then you felt as Onew slammed his hips at you one last time, and he moaned in a very erotic way. He had reached his own climax, you assumed. However, you could feel his lips and tongue on your skin. Even if you couldn’t see anything, you could still notice how your vision was getting blurrier as you felt yourself falling asleep. It was all too much to handle.
Just before you were completely out, you could hear your Onew’s caring and soft voice speaking.
    “I’m so sorry, love…”
-
The next morning, you were slowly waking up. You could hear birds outside, but as you opened your eyes, you didn’t see much. Sitting down, you tried to rub your eyes but felt a soft fabric instead. Oh right, you now remembered, the blindfold.
You touched your hands at the back of your head and untied the cloth, taking it off from your eyes. The sun was shining, blinding you for a second until your eyes could adjust. The somewhat cool air was making you shiver and so you realized you were naked. Why? Because you had sex, with Onew.
You bit your lip at the thought of it and looked around your bedroom, to the floor. It was odd, there were only your clothes. You looked at your bed, but it was empty.
“Onew?” you yelled, hoping you’d hear his voice. Maybe he had just got up early? But alas, no answer.
You bit your lip, inhaling air through your nose slowly. He wasn’t like that. He couldn’t have just left after having such an intimate moment with you?
You got off your bed, grabbing a pair of panties and a t-shirt from your closet to wear as you walked to your kitchen. No sight of Onew. It made you sad more than anything. Could he had just left like this?
But then you noticed it, a note on the counter. You knew you hadn’t written it, so you hoped it was Onew’s. You grabbed the note, tilting your head as you read it:
“I’m sorry. I know you probably have a lot in your mind right now. I couldn’t have stayed in your apartment, it’s not dark enough for me. I needed to leave before dawn. I didn’t want to… I will explain everything later after I wake up. I love you. - Onew”
You narrowed your eyes while you continued with the very last sentence.
“P.S, don’t worry about the marks on your skin. They will heal soon enough. And sorry…”
“Marks on your skin”? Then your eyes widened, the pain, the stinging pain you had felt before you passed out. You rushed to the bathroom to look at yourself from the mirror. Gently you pulled the collar of your shirt down, revealing two fresh round scars on your skin. You didn’t want to believe it, but they looked like bite marks. Only one explanation came to your head, but it couldn’t be true.
Something Onew had said the night suddenly repeated in your head.
“I don’t want you to see a side of me…”
   “You smell so good.”
   “I want to taste you.”
“No”, you spoke to yourself. “It can’t be… That’s just silly…”
You stared into the mirror, feeling, something. Was it anger? Fear? Confusion? Curiosity? Arousal? All emotions in one? But one thing you knew, you had a lot of questions, well, one particular.
“Could you really be, a vampire?”
Onew for sure had a lot of explaining to do.

Dreams
Summary: Jughead Jones slips into a coma and his dreams weren’t exactly what he or anyone else expected.
Fandom: Riverdale
Pairings: Jughead Jones x Veronica Lodge
Tumblr media
Jughead had sacrificed himself to Penny and the Ghoulies. He had been beaten, burned and cut. His father had found him in the woods and had rushed him to the hospital. FP had called his son’s friends and told them that Jughead was in the hospital and that it was bad. They had all rushed to the hospital, Veronica Lodge being the first one there and the last one to leave.
It had been two weeks since Jughead had been injured. Veronica hadn’t left the hospital, unless it was to go home to take a shower or to get some sleep. Veronica remembered the first time she saw Jughead laying in that hospital bed, he looked like he was asleep, he looked peaceful. Veronica talked to him, she talked to him about her parents and how angry she was with them and about how she was working with the Serpents now and how she planned on joining the Serpents once he woke up. She talked to him about how Betty and Archie had grown closer, the blonde and the ginger had spent almost the whole two weeks together.
Veronica had been to the hospital to visit Jughead, more than any of the Northsiders. More than Betty Cooper herself, Jughead’s girlfriend. FP, Jughead’s father, had noticed this, he noticed how he had only seen the blonde girl three times in those two weeks, while he had seen Veronica more than once a day.
Veronica sat beside Jughead’s hospital bed, a book, that Jughead had once talked about, in her hand. She would look up every so often just to see if Jughead had moved, and everytime she was met with disappointment.
Sometimes Veronica wondered what he dreamed about, did he dream about the Serpents, about Archie, about Betty, or maybe if he dreamed about her. Every time Veronica had even thought maybe Jughead was thinking about her in his comatose state, she would shake her head and think to herself ‘he’s obviously thinking about Betty, he loves her after all.’ But little did the raven haired princess know, that he was not dreaming about the blonde but that he was in fact dreaming about her.
Why are we here again? Oh yeah, that’s right. Veronica wanted to try and put our differences with Betty and Archie behind us. I’m extremely regretting agreeing to this dinner at Pop’s, because it’s by far awkward. Sitting across from my ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, who is also my girlfriend’s ex boyfriend, was just beyond crazy. The past five minutes have been filled with nothing but the sounds of the slurping of milkshakes and awkward glances.
Why did everything have to be so awkward? We were all pretty close friends at one point, can’t we be like that again? Just with different relationships, no more ‘Bughead’ and ‘Varchie’ as Kevin called it.
“So, Jug, V, how are the Serpents?” Betty Cooper spoke up from her side of the table. Hearing her words I couldn’t stop myself from looking over at Veronica, who was already looking at me. We both shared the same look, ‘what the hell were these two up to?’
Even though, I was worried about what the blonde and the ginger were up to, I couldn’t stop myself from observing my girl’s outfit. Veronica was wearing her new black leather serpent jacket, which she look amazing in, she was wearing black skinny jeans, and combat boots. When we first met I never would have thought I would see her in an outfit like that, but then again I never thought we’d be dating and I’d be in love with her either.
“The Serpents are fine.” Veronica answered, seeing that I was not going to respond.
Archie gave us a confused look, “Even with Fangs’ death?”
Right, they didn’t know about Fangs. No one but the Serpents did, it was for his safety. Ronnie gave a sad smile, while I looked down, “Some are taking it harder than others.”
“Well, I would assume so.” Betty agreed, before she stood up, causing all of us to look at her confused. “I have to go to the bathroom.” She tells us and Archie stands up letting her out of the booth.
The door to Pop’s opened with a ding, causing me and V to both turn around. Great it’s the freakin bulldogs, all of them. Turning back around, I really hope they didn’t see me. I cannot take on all of them. Lucky for me and Veronica, I don’t think they saw us or if they did they’re not saying anything. Archie noticed the bulldogs to, because he stood up and started to walk over to them, not even muttering a word to us.
Veronica turned to me, a guilty look on her face, “Would we be bad people if we ran out of here before they got back?”
“Yes.” I nodded. “But considering how awkward this dinner is, I would love to do it.”
Veronica smiled and I found myself smiling in return. Reaching into my wallet I grabbed a twenty putting it on the table, paying for both mine and Veronica’s meal. Standing up, I put my hand out for Veronica, who immediately took it. Quickly we rushed out of Pop’s, towards my motorcycle. When we reached the motorcycle, I handed Veronica her helmet, which she quickly put on, I followed suit doing the same thing with mine. Throwing one leg over the black bike I cranked it up and waited for Veronica to get on. Once I felt Veronica arms wrap around my stomach, I took off.
Arriving at mine and my dad’s trailer, I turned off the bike. My dad’s bike isn’t here, so he’s not here, he’s probably at the Wyrm. Ronnie had already gotten off the bike and had taken her helmet off, so I quickly followed doing the same. Walking up to the trailer I unlocked it and walked in, Veronica behind me.
Sitting down the helmet, I walked in the kitchen. Veronica must have sat down on the couch, because I can hear the squeak of the old couch. Reaching into the fridge, I grab two sodas. Walking back into the small living room, I smiled slightly at the sight in front of me. There Veronica was, in all her glory, cuddled up under a blanket on the couch. Walking towards her I handed her a soda, before sitting down beside her.
“I’ve decided that we are watching Reign.” She declared.
“What’s Reign?” I couldn’t stop myself from asking, I had never heard of the show before.
“It’s a show, obviously. It’s about the Queen of Scotland Mary Stuart. I heard it’s really good.” I couldn’t help but smile at the happy look on her face.
“Okay then. Whatever you want.”
I now regretted saying that, due to the look on her face. I can tell, she wants me to get up and go get her something. “Whatever I want?” She leaned in closer to me, “You wanna go me some chocolate ice cream from the freezer?”
Why would she want ice cream, if she’s cold. “Okay, first of all, we just had milkshakes. Second of all, aren’t you cold already? I don’t think ice cream is going to help with that.”
Veronica shot me a smile, “1 ice cream is different then milkshakes. 2 I eat ice cream in the middle of winter, I think I’ll be fine.” When I didn’t move to go get the ice cream, she gave me the look. The puppy dog look, the one I could never say no to. She gave me a pout, and widened her eyes.
“Fine.” I found the words escaping my mouth before I could do anything to stop them.
“Aww, thank you baby.” She says before she reaches over and grabs my face pulling me in for a small kiss.
“You’re lucky I love you.” I say while standing up, even though I know I’m lucky that she loves me.
“I know.”
Veronica Lodge sat beside Jughead’s bed, the same book from earlier in her hand, she was on the last chapter. Now, she understood why Jughead loved the book so much.
Letting out a sigh, the raven haired girl closed the book. “What’s wrong?” She jumped at the rough noise, but she immediately calmed down when she looked up and seen FP. The two had gotten close over the two weeks.
“I just finished the book. So many surprises. And I did not expect Jughead to read books like this.”
FP smiled at her, “I’m going to go get a cup of coffee. Do you want one?”
“If you don’t mind.” FP only gave her a small smile before he turned and walked out of the room.
FP had only been gone for about two minutes when Veronica heard something, looking up she thought FP had somehow got coffee extremely fast. But her eyes widened when she saw Jughead open his eyes. Standing up quickly, she almost leapt towards the hospital bed.
“Jughead, oh my god you’re awake. I should go get a nurse and your dad.”
Jughead blinked nervously and nodded.
Veronica gave him a small smile, leaning over she pecked his forehead before she rushed out of the room and towards the nurses station. After getting a nurse, Veronica practically ran down the hall towards the coffee machine to go tell Fp that his son was in fact awake.
It had been three hours since Jughead had woken up, every Serpent had been to his room at least once. Fp had two serpents guarding Jughead’s hospital room at all times, just in case any Ghoulies came to finish the job. Betty and Archie had made a brief appearance before they quickly left. Which highly confused Veronica, her boyfriend only muttered two words to her, before he ran off with Betty, again.
Fp hadn’t left Jughead’s side, until Jughead admitted that he was really hungry and wanted some fries from Pop’s, something that his doctor confirmed he could have. Veronica had offered to go get it. But Fp, had refused, saying he would go get it, because if Veronica went there was a chance she’d run into her father. Something Fp knew she didn’t want to do.
Veronica Lodge hadn’t left Jughead’s side. The two had been talking for about forty-five minutes, Veronica was catching him up on everything he missed. When suddenly, Jughead blurted out that he was sorry, that he judged her and blamed her for her father’s mistakes. Veronica had smiled at him and told him that it was okay, and she then also apologized for not telling him some of the stuff she knew her father had planned.
Fp finally walked back into the hospital room, a bag of Pop’s in his left hand, when Veronica stood up from the chair, grabbing her small bag.
“Ronnie?” Jughead questioned, shocking Veronica. She had never really heard him call her by anything but Veronica. “Where are you going?”
Veronica smiled at him, “I’m going home. You and your dad need some space to talk. And besides I really need a shower. I’ll drop by later, promise.”
Jughead only nodded, and watched as Veronica walked out of the hospital room.
Fp watched his son’s facial expressions as Veronica left. The Serpent could tell that Jughead didn’t look at Veronica the way he did before the coma. Fp thought his son looked at the Lodge teen almost lovingly. Fp didn’t know what was going to happen next between, Veronica and Jughead, but he did know that a world wind of drama was coming because of it.

Mine (JP)
Request: Right so, basically an imagine where you’ve been best friends with casp An josh for years lkke since school An you’re visiting them in London and after seeing joshs video with his gf come clean to casp on a night out telling him how in love you are with josh an casp is like no you have it all wrong it’s a fake girlfriend then josh finds out and it’s all cute and a happy ending
I sit at the airport excited to see my two best friends after three years being apart. The troublesome threesome, as all our school teachers nicknamed us. We were inseperable as kids but we'd all moved away from our roots and moved across the globe. But that didn't stop us as; there were weekly catch-ups on facetime and a group text that never stopped with notifications.
"Flight 002 to London has been delayed..." another announcement comes on and I hear a few people around me groan. I sigh and text the group to let the boys know. Josh sends back a sad face and a heart that puts a smile back on my face.
It seems like we were always this close because we'd known each other since before we were ten. There was one blip when we were 16, a semester where the three of us stopped talking altogether. That was the year I developed a massive crush on Josh, he got his first girlfriend, and I'd decided to be petty. I complained how he was ruining the group dynamic by hanging out with her more, how he was obsessed with her, and that caused us to argue, Caspar to go back and forth between us-because he couldn't choose a side, and ultimately Josh and I disowning Caspar too because he couldn't just choose just one of us. It was a long and dark few months. But we'd decided after that we wouldn't let our love lives get in between our friendship-luckily for me my love life was tangled with our friendship. Maybe that was was why, as I waited for a new announcement, I decided to check out the boys' channel for new videos and saw Josh's upload.
"His girlfriend?" I say out loud after I watch it and a few people glance my way. "What the fuck?" I whisper quietly.
We told each other everything-why didn't I know about this? I watch the video intensely, looking out for how they look at each other and touch each other and by the end of it I want to be sick.
•••
I'm landed and omw I can't wait, I text the group. I had landed an hour ago and finally collected my luggage. Unfortunately, both Caspar and Josh were too busy to pick me up so I was to take an uber to their flat. My uber driver makes small talk before we settle in silence.
I'll be home in a half hour, Caspar texts. I'm so excited
I send a heart and a few minutes later so does Josh and Caspar. I stare at Josh's name a little too long, my emotions still a little unsettled. I thought along with seeing my best friends this trip would give me some closure with the Josh part of my life. But knowing he had a girlfriend made this all the more complicated. I would just have to ignore my feelings.
I arrive at the flat and let the boys know and when the elevators open I spot Josh and Caspar with their flat door open. Caspar wears an eager expression and he looks the same as he always did, my heart smiles at the sight of him. Josh looks handsome, he'd definitely grown into his height and he looks at me with a mixture of excitement and something else...he has a girl, I remind myself but my heart still sings at the sight of him.
"She's here!" Caspar shouts and wraps me in a hug. I almost tear up in his arms, ones I haven't felt in years, and Josh joins from the other side as we become a ball of limbs and love.
"Just so you know," Josh says over us. "Caspar wanted to scare you as you got off the elevator but I stopped him."
"Josh!" Caspar lets go and pushes him. "You're such a liar!"
Josh laughs, "It's true!"
"I believe it," I roll my eyes and grab ahold of my luggage but Caspar takes it from my hand. "He would do it for the views."
"I forgot that you two gang up on me when we get together," Caspar pouts and wheels the suitcase inside. Josh and I high-five as we laugh at Caspar's retreating figure.
"I missed you," Josh gives me a side hug. I wrap my hands around his waist as we walk side by side into the flat.
"So Conor's not in London you'll take his room," Josh explains as Caspar steps out from it. "Make yourself at home."
"Home is wherever you two are," I say, feeling sentimental.
"Aww," the boys mock me and ruffle my hair. I push their hands away and lock myself in the bedroom, wanting to feel settled in.
•••
I'm groggy post-nap and hear Caspar talking in his room. I follow the sound of a the television into the living room where Josh and a couple of his friends sit.
"Hey," I call out.
Jack, a friend I'd met briefly before, looks up and smiles. Mikey gets up with Josh and Josh drags me to where they all sit and places me beside him.
"...she's finally visiting us she made space in her busy schedule..." Josh is talking to Jack and Mikey, bragging about what I did, but I still feel jet-lagged and am barely keeping up with the conversation.
"How long do you stay? Y/N?" I'm snapped out when I hear the question.
"For the month," I answer. "Then I'm heading home to South Africa."
"Before we know it our entire group will be replaced by South Africans," Jack jokes and we laugh.
"That's not a bad thing," I glance at Josh and we share a smile. He puts his arm around me as the boys continue watching whatever they were watching and I pull out my phone to update my social media. I watch the last quarter of football with the boys before Jack and Mikey head out and Josh and I remain on the couch.
"Tell your mom I said hi and not to worry because I'm keeping an eye on you," Josh notices I was texting my mom.
"I still don't know why she loves you the most," I shake my head and Josh peers over my shoulder to read my mom's response.
"She knows I have a heart of gold," he says seriously.
"Does she now?" I roll my eyes as we banter back and forth. It feels dangerously close to flirting as Josh leans further into me; he looks at me with an intensity that makes my stomach flutter with butterflies.
But he had a girlfriend.
"I should freshen up if we're going out," I say suddenly. I could tell Josh is confused by the change in my tone because his eyebrows knit together before he leans back to where he sat before. I get up and smooth out my top. "I'll see what Caspar's up to."
"Uh sure," Josh tugs at his ear, a light pink colouring his cheeks. "Yeah."
I knock on Caspar's door but he doesn't respond. "You better be decent," I shout as I open it to find Caspar asleep on top of his sheets. I groan, getting him up would be a task but a couple hours later Caspar, Josh, and I are all ready for a night out-my first night out in London.
"Casp are you still just as bad with the ladies?" I ask. "Remember you tried learning magic when we were fifteen."
"I got pretty good!" Caspar says.
"He did," Josh admits.
"I use a different kind of magic now," Caspar points a finger gun at me and Josh and I groan as we all laugh.
"How about you?" Josh asks, suddenly forcing a casual tone. "Are you dating somebody?"
"Since last weekend when I went on that huge rant about why guys suck?" To be fair, I was drunk when I texted them the three-paragraph message.
"Heh I guess," Josh says and Caspar snorts.
"Josh has no game," Caspar says. Which was odd to me since he had a girlfriend.
"But doesn't-" I start but Caspar cuts me off, pointing to the place he was taking us. We had arrived.
•••
"Caspar!" I shout into the crowd. It was a few hours later and I was buzzing with the drinks I had. Josh had stuck with me while Caspar left for a bit to talk to a girl he knew. But I found the more I drank the more I hated the fact that I was finally with Josh physically but he had a girlfriend and that meant I had to stay hands off. The tension grew-at least for me-and I was ready to go. If this was how the trip here would feel, I had to sort this out once and for all.
"I'll get him," Josh puts a hand on my back and I quickly step forward so it falls away. It was too tempting.
Caspar returns but Josh doesn't.
"Josh just went to the toilet," Caspar shouts. "You wanted to go home?"
"Yeah," I say, distracted as I spot Josh's head moving away from us.
"What's going on?" Caspar tries to look where I'd been looking.
"Promise you won't say a word," I say. I needed to know.
"What? For what?" Caspar pushes closer, he could never be patient for a secret. "Promise."
"How did Josh suddenly get into a relationship without telling me?" I spill.
"What?" Caspar looks confused. "Josh?"
"Yeah!" I shout. "I saw his video before I flew out!"
"His video?" Caspar shouts and proceeds to laugh-it would be more accurate to say he was howling. I stare at him, getting more and more upset he'd found that so funny.
"Wait, you don't know? Oh my god wait," Caspar sobers up. "You like him."
It's not asked as a question. He already knows and it's just a statement because a single glance at my face only confirms it. His howling becomes obnoxious as he laughs for a second round and tears threaten to spill from my own eyes.
"I don't understand why you're laughing," I shove Caspar. "You're such an ass! I'm making my own way home!"
Before Caspar can say anything I rush out the door and begin racing down the street. I just wanted to get away, Caspar had embarassed me more than he had in our past. It was a good thing Josh wasn't there to see how humiliating it was that I was in love with him for years while he'd moved on with his life and gotten a beautiful girlfriend. I was pathetic.
I eventually get in an uber and use the address from our group chat. I already can tell Caspar is gearing to type up an apology as it shows he's typing for a while but I turn off my wifi and wait for the car to take me home. Except I didn't have a key.
I sit outside the flat and begin to cry ever so quietly. I was tired and embarassed and I was heartbroken. Why did I ever think it could work out between Josh and I? Why would I come to London in the first place? I should have flown to South Africa directly.
"Y/N?" The one voice I didn't want to hear comes from in front of me.
I look up, sniffling to Josh towering over me. He plays with his keys and slides it into the door.
"Are you going to come in?" He opens the door but I make no move to get up. I don't even respond. He puts the keys in his pocket and sits beside me.
"Caspar said that you left-"
"Caspar's an asshole." I say shakily.
"I know," Josh stops short. He clears his throat and sits in front of me. "Caspar-he said that...gosh this is so embarassing for me to tell you of all people..."
By now I'm curious with how much Josh was stuttering. I watch his mouth move as he tries to explain to me how his video was a prank and the girl wasn't actually his girlfriend. She was just a friend. I stare at him long after he's done to process and un-tangle my emotions and the story.
"You're a loser," I say after an extended silence. "The biggest loser I've ever met-and trust me I know a lot."
Josh's face splits into a grin as he puts his hands on my knees. "I'm so sorry I didn't say anything I thought you would know it was a joke. I didn't mean to hurt you-I swear. You know you would be the first person to know if I started dating a girl."
"I better be," I say but my heart whispers a sad song as I realise Josh was still saying this because he would only ever see me as a friend.
"I could use your advice though," Josh leans back on his hands.
"On?" I say cautiously.
"I think I'm in love with a girl but how do I ask her out?"
My heart drops into my stomach. "Does she-do you know if she likes you back?"
"Recently confirmed," Josh grins as he takes my hands in his. Then suddenly I feel like the loser. He was talking about me!
"Be bold," a smile plays at my lips. "Forget about asking her out."
"You think?" Josh pinches my chin between his fingers and I forget to answer him. I needed him. I pull his shoulders closer and he backs me into the wall again as his lips kiss mine expertly. We had definitely moved away from childhood friends.
"I didn't know you could kiss like that," I tease when we break apart.
"There's a lot I know how to do you don't know," Josh smiles, bumping his nose lightly into mine.
"Show me," I try to kiss him but he's suddenly standing up. He yanks my hand and bends to pick me up over his shoulder and carry me into the house.
"I've been waiting to show you for a while," Josh says and I giggle as my vision turns upside down and right side up again. I lay on his bed and instead of resuming the kissing, Josh lays down beside me.
"So I just wanted to let you know first since I said I would," Josh says so seriously that I prop myself on my elbows to hear what he has to say. "I've just started seeing someone."
"Oh my gosh," I laugh. He was a loser, I think, but my loser. Josh lays giggling as I stradle him and lean down. "You almost had me there."
"Good," Josh flips us around though and he holds my hands above me. "It's funny when I can rile you up."
"Is that why you used to do it when we were younger?" I suddenly remember, the memory coming forward.
Josh blushes and I exaggerate my aww.
"Since eighth grade," Josh admits. I whistle and Josh blushes more.
"Wait. Did Caspar know?" I ask.
"Eventually he figured it out," he admits. "But he told me I couldn't say anything because you'd never go for me and it would just ruin our group dynamic."
I laugh, "Of course he fucking said that."
"I'm glad I waited though," Josh lowers himself. "It was worth this."
"Me too," I say. Josh closes the gap between us as we passionately make-up for time and I feel a bubbly type of happy that this boy in my arms was finally someone I could call mine.

Chapter Three: Whack
Sujin laid awake in her bed, still feeling the paranoia from the night before as she glanced over to the open bathroom door. She threw the blanket off of her and got up from the bed, walking over to the room door where she had placed a chair under the handle. With a sigh she grabbed a change of clothes, figuring that a quick run through the woods would make her feel better. And she was right, the wind rushing past her as she ran between the trees felt amazing.
She stopped in her place, a deer several feet in front of her. She looked at it in awe of the nature that she had mostly given up when she moved to Seoul. A hand suddenly covered her mouth and an arm wrapped around her shoulder.
“Shh, this will only take a second.” A very familiar voice said from behind her.
She stared in confusion until she noticed movement from the corner of her eyes. Namjoon was beside them, a compound bow in his hands. Yoongi was the one holding her and it took her a split second to figure out what they were planning to do. Without another thought, she stepped onto Yoongi’s foot hard enough for him to make a sound loud enough to spook the deer. It took off and Namjoon’s arrow missed it’s target, embedding itself in a tree rather than a deer’s body.
“What the hell do you two think you’re doing?”
“I think you broke my foot,” Yoongi groaned, putting weight on the foot and wincing immediately.
“Yeah well it serves you right for grabbing me like that and when did you even start hunting deer?” Sujin questioned angrily.
“Sujin...they’re taking over the island.” Yoongi tried to explain, keeping his voice calm to keep Sujin from getting even angrier.
“If we don’t cull the weak ones, they’ll starve during winter,” Namjoon added, his voice annoyed as his grip on the bow tightened.
“So you’re doing it for them then? How lucky for them,” Sujin said mockingly.
“It’s more complicated than that,” Yoongi said with a sigh.
“Why are you even apologizing to her?” Namjoon asked before turning to Sujin. “And who the hell are you to tell us what to do?”
“Namjoon,” Yoongi said in warning. He didn't want to get in between the two of them if they started fighting.
“She left you once, what’s stopping her from doing it again?” Namjoon gestured towards Sujin with the bow. He remembered what Yoongi had been like when Sujin left five years ago and he didn't want a repeat.
Sujin stared at him in disgust. She knew that they had never really gotten along but this was too much for her to handle at the moment. Without another word, she turned on her heel to walk away from the two men in front of her.
“Sujin wait,” Yoongi moved forward, stepping in front of her. “Deer can’t migrate off the island and we’ve been culling them for years.”
“I’m not judging you, Yoongi. Do whatever you want: hunt, fish, kill. I just don’t need to see any more blood shed on this island.” Sujin said, anger clear in her voice. She looked at Yoongi one more time before she took off behind him, running back towards the inn. She had wedding activities to get ready for and thinking about her ex going around killing deer wasn’t going to put her in the right mood.
She made it back to the inn and immediately went back to her room to freshen up and change into actual clothes. Once she was done, she headed down to the back porch for lack of a better term where most everyone else was already hanging out. As always she went over to where Jimin, Jackson, and Yugyeom were. They greeted her with huge smiles and an even bigger hug from Jimin.
“Have I missed anything?” Sujin asked as she looked around. Jungkook was standing by Seulgi who was going over a map with him. She wasn’t exactly sure what the activity of the day was but she had a feeling that she would be grateful for the sneakers she had put on.
“Nope, we’re still waiting on the bride to be,” Jackson answered. They continued talking, and of course they wanted to hear about the fight between Taehyung and Namjoon which Sujin laughed off. She didn’t want to talk about Taehyung behind his back and she noticed that he had also not shown up. Seulgi started walking around, passing bandanas to everyone but making sure that any couples near each other didn’t have the same color. She handed Sujin a blue bandana with a grin. Sujin noticed that Jimin also had the same color as her while Jackson and Yugyeom had yellow ones. Finally Wendy showed up, a smile on her face as she tried to look like she hadn’t been rushing to the meeting place.
“Ah, there she is!” Jungkook exclaimed, holding a hand out for Wendy to take. She took it gratefully and put an arm around his waist when she got to his side. The group started jokingly humming along to Here Comes the Bride.
“Sorry, sorry. A bride’s work is never done,” Wendy said, a smile on her face as she tried to explain her lateness. “How much did I miss?”
“Hadn’t even started yet,” Jungkook answered, knowing that it was better to wait for Wendy before starting to explain.
“Okay so, this is a scavenger hunt. You have four places you need to visit: The Cannery,” Wendy started to explain.
“Groomsmen, it’s an open bar,” Jungkook cut in with a pointed look to the trio of men surrounding Sujin. They let out loud cheers as expected.
“After The Cannery, you’ll head down to the Eastern Bluff and then down to the church where the wedding is going to be held and then the Maritime Museum where I used to work.” Wendy continued as if Jungkook hadn’t said anything, though she did roll her eyes when she saw the fist bumps people were giving each other.
“And in each location, you’ll have a task to complete. Have fun, make some new friends,” Jungkook finished out the explanation. By this point, Jimin had caught sight of the bandana color that Jieun had and made a beeline over to her fiance who had the same color. Sujin couldn’t help the laugh that escaped her, Jimin was still the same Jimin. She knew he was more than likely going to try to trade bandanas and when he turned around to walk back to them, she knew that he had succeeded as soon as she saw the yellow bandana in his hands. Sujin rolled her eyes as she walked over to where Jieun’s fiance was.
“Hi, I’m Sujin. Looks like we’re on the same team,” she said, holding the hand with her bandana around it out for him to shake.
“I’m Jin, nice to meet you.”
“Aww, I thought we’d be on the same team,” Jieun came up beside them, a yellow bandana wrapped around her wrist. She looked at the blue bandana that Jin had around his own wrist with sadness.
“Wait, we’re not?”
“See you at the finish line, I guess,” Jieun said as she walked over to the group that Sujin had just left. Jin staring after her in shock.
“Yeah you got played but don’t worry, we’re gonna kick their asses.” Sujin explained, trying not to laugh at the expression on Jin’s face. “Come on.”
She grabbed ahold of his arm and started walking over to the stairs so they could get started on the scavenger hunt. The others in their group seemed to follow their lead without question. Sujin wasn’t sure how well they were going to do though since it consisted of her, Jin, Hyejin (and her dog Pickles), and Wendy’s brother in law Hoseok. Sujin was guessing that Pickles would be the team MVP by the end of the day. They were about halfway down the stairs when someone coming up the stairs stopped Sujin.
“Hey.” It was Yeri. Sujin had seen her the previous night at the bar but hadn’t wanted to say anything to her. The other girl looked very different then she did five years ago. And Sujin just knew that she would want to talk about their mothers and their untimely deaths, something that Sujin was not ready for.
“Hey.” Sujin finally said back without stopping, still dragging Jin along with her. She missed the disappointed look that Yeri gave her before she continued up the stairs.
Meanwhile, Seulgi rushed over to the church with a large gift bag. She just hoped that Jaebeom wasn’t slacking around and was actually there for once. Thankfully he was there, up on a ladder with a broom in his hands as he brushed away spiderwebs.
“Having fun?” Seulgi asked, smiling up at Jaebeom. He seemed like he was having the time of his life.
“Oh yeah, besides my dad said the last thing we needed was spiders jumping down on the wedding party. Ooh is that for me?” Jaebeom asked as he climbed down the ladder. He saw the bag in Seulgi’s hands and got excited, hoping that it was food.
“Only if you want props for the scavenger hunt,” she said as she held the bag up for him to take. “They’re supposed to take a photo of themselves at the altar with either the top hat or the veil. Bonus points if the guy wears the veil. Make sure they know that.”
Jaebeom nodded absentmindedly  as he dug through the bag, finally he found what he was looking for. “Ha, knew I smelled blueberry scones!”
“Yeah, yeah, don’t forget that the rehearsal is on Friday.” Seulgi reminded him, making sure that he caught how serious she was. She didn’t get to plan very many weddings and the fact that Wendy’s family had trusted her with this made her want everything to go off without a hitch.
“My dad’s the one who’s forgetful, not me. We’ll be ready on Friday, don’t worry.” Jaebeom said with a roll of his eyes.
“See you later tonight then.” Seulgi said with a grin.
Jaebeom watched Seulgi leave, laughing to himself before he turned to set the props up inside. Once he was done with that, he decided to waste some time with a short walk in the woods behind the church. He also wanted to enjoy his scone in peace and his dad wouldn’t let that happen. A clinking sound reached his ears and he stopped in confusion, he looked around but didn’t see anything that could’ve caused it so he shrugged and continued on. He took another step and with a snap, he was up in the air and upside down.
“What the hell?! Is somebody out there?” Jaebeom shouted as he started to slowly spin around. He had told people not to set traps so close to the church and now he had proof as to why. He tried to pull himself up to reach the rope around his foot but failed in each attempt. The sound of boots crunching on the leaves made him turn around again. His eyes widened in shock when he saw who was in front of him, but it was worse when he saw the head spade coming towards him. And that was the last thing he ever saw.
Over at The Cannery, Sujin and her team were not having much luck either. Hyejin and Hoseok were both two shots in while Jin was one shot in. Sujin was the only one who hadn’t had to take a single shot and she was starting to feel bad for her teammates. Irene grinned deviously as she held up the note card in her hands. She already knew that Jin would be taking another shot.
“What color is Wendy’s bicycle?” Irene asked, staring Jin down as he tried to think of the answer.
“Is it pink?” Jin answered in a questioning tone. He really didn’t know much at all about the couple getting married. He was only there because Jieun was a bridesmaid and he couldn’t deny her when she asked him to join her.
“Nope,” Irene said as the rest of the group in front of her groaned. “The correct answer is black.”
Jin sighed as he took the second shot sitting in front of him. He shuddered as it went down his throat, he had never been a huge fan of straight vodka. “These are hard questions. Is every question really about Wendy and Jungkook?”
“That’s kind of the point of the game,” Irene laughed as she shuffled the note cards again. The door to the bar opened and Sujin saw Yeri walk in. She shared a look with Irene before they got distracted by Pickles jumping onto the bar. Irene looked at the dog in annoyance.
“Um, people eat here.” Irene said, grimacing as the small dog started licking at the table. She didn’t even want to begin to think about how much she’d have to wipe it down before she felt it was clean enough.
“Pickles is people though,” Hyejin replied with a fond smile on her face as she cooed at her little dog.
“Pickles is gonna be an appetizer if you don’t get it off my bartop,” Irene countered as she stared down Hyejin. The bridesmaid in question huffed as she picked up her dog and got off the barstool.
“We wanted fresh air anyway,” she said as she glared at Irene. Hoseok looked between the two other members of his team and Hyejin before downing another shot.
“I guess we’ll be outside,” he said awkwardly before following after Hyejin. Sujin and Jin looked after them silently trying to figure out if they should follow. They hadn’t even finished all of the questions.
“I don’t know if you remember me,” a voice said from beside Sujin who turned in her seat to see it was Yeri. She really couldn’t get over how different the other girl looked. She had been so happy during high school and now she dyed her hair blacker than black and wore dark makeup.
“I remember you Yeri,” Sujin said. She turned to Jin to see if he could wait outside for her while she spoke to Yeri for a bit. The pair moved over to one of the tables for some privacy. They almost immediately started talking about Seoul which to Yeri seemed like another planet compared to the island.
“It seems like the perfect place,” Yeri said wistfully.
“It’s okay. Rent’s expensive and the traffic sucks most of the time…”
“But it seems totally worth it because no one there know what happened to you. I’ve always wondered if things would be different, if I would be different, if I lived somewhere where people don’t look at you and think “There go those girls whose moms were strung up by the Haneul Butcher.”” Yeri said bluntly as she interrupted Sujin. It made Sujin pause to think about how much the other girl had probably suffered the past five years. It wasn’t easy being someone whose mom had been murdered, it was the whole reason why Sujin had left.
“Do you have anyone to talk to here? Family, friends?” Sujin asked, looking at Yeri with worry in her eyes.
“I’m a little jealous of you, you know? You got away from here,”
“Actually, my dad sent me away.” Sujin finally admitted. She hadn’t really told anyone that until now. She had been okay with everyone thinking that it was her idea to leave at first. But it had been her choice to stay away as long as she did. “I think I scared him after…”
“I think I scare a lot of people,” Yeri said, a wry smile on her face. Sujin didn't know how to respond to that. She didn't know how to talk to anyone she knew from before, except for Jungkook. But only because he didn't treat her any differently.
“You don’t scare me,” Sujin finally said. She knew what Yeri was feeling for the most part, she had just had the chance to get away from the island. “But I do have to go to the bathroom, I’ll be right back.”
Sujin gave Yeri a small smile as she got up to go to the bathroom. She was also pretty sure that the rest of her group had probably already left her behind. She hadn’t meant to spend this much time talking with Yeri. She tried to be fast, leaving the stall to wash her hands. She looked up and let out a loud gasp when she saw that Yeri was standing right behind her.
“You know, I see him sometimes.” Yeri said without any explanation or prompting.
“Who?” Sujin asked, tilting her head in confusion.
“Lee Insung, and I don’t mean in my dreams or anything. I’ve seen him when I’m walking around town,” Yeri explained. She knew that she sounded crazy but she had to tell someone. Someone that might understand where she was coming from.
“Yeri, he’s dead. My dad killed him.” Sujin said, making sure that she sounded firm. She didn’t know if the other girl was joking or not but it wasn’t something that she found funny in the slightest.
“Then why do I keep seeing him?”
Suddenly the door slammed open, startling the both of them. Sujin spun on her heel to face Namjoon who had opened the door. He was just about the last person she wanted to see. Namjoon looked between Yeri and Sujin before letting out a scoff.
“Oh look, it’s the Lee Insung murdered my mommy pity party.” He mocked the two girls standing in front of him. Sujin looked at him with contempt while Yeri looked at the floor, barely holding back her emotions. “Get out, I have to pee. Unless you’d rather stay for the show?”
Sujin scoffed as she pushed past Namjoon, making sure to hit him with her shoulder. Yeri followed after her, not sparing a glance at Namjoon. Sujin stormed out of the bar, not even bothering to give Irene a goodbye.
“I’m sorry, that was my fault. I used to go out with him and he just--”
“Stop, it’s okay. He’s an asshole, I already knew that. But what you were saying earlier, you don’t have to be scared.” Sujin interrupted Yeri before she could continue to spout off excuses for Namjoon. Yeri looked like she was about to say something before she noticed the other people surrounding them.
“I should let you get back to your game, I took up enough of your time.” Yeri didn’t wait for Sujin to say anything else before she turned on her heel to walk away, probably heading back to the inn. Sujin watched after her, worried about the other girl and she barely noticed the bar door opening once again.
“Got one right finally, no need for thanks,” Jin announced, handing the bottle of champagne to Hyejin. “But I’m done now, I want to get back to Jieun and I want to be yellow again.” Hyejin and Hoseok looked at him in confusion before looking at Sujin for a possible answer. They didn’t have a clue what he meant by that statement.
“Right, um, Jimin switched bandanas with him and I think he’s feeling a little…” Sujin trailed off, not sure what adjective to use to describe Jin at the moment.
“Idiotic,” Jin said. “He played me and I feel idiotic.”
“Well don’t keep whining about it. Why don’t you fight for her?” Hyejin asked, adjusting her hold on Pickles. Hoseok paused a moment before pulling their scavenger hunt map out of his bag.
“Okay, so we’re right here now. I think the yellow team started over here at the museum so they’re probably heading to the Eastern Bluff next.”
“Well the island’s not that big, look here.” Sujin pointed at a small area on the map. “This is a path you could take, maybe meet up with them?”
“Excellent idea,” Jin said, all but ripping the map out of Hoseok’s hand. “I’m off then.” He didn’t wait for anyone to say anything before he stumbled off for the path that Sujin had pointed out. Hyejin shouted words of encouragement after him while Sujin stared at his stumbling.
“You know, maybe I should follow him. He isn’t exactly steady on his feet right now.” Sujin turned to Hoseok and Hyejin with an apologetic look on her face. “I’ll meet up with you two later.”
Sujin started after Jin, trying not to lose sight of him. The last thing they needed was for him to get lost in the woods. The island may not be very big but that didn’t make finding lost people any easier, especially if it was dark. And she wasn’t in the mood to do anything of the sort.
“Sujin!” She turned to see that Yoongi had indeed called her. She smiled as she looked him over, still not used to being able to see him more often than she had in the past five years. And then she remembered that morning and she started to feel awkward. She had no right to act that way and she knew that she had to apologize.
“Hey, so I feel like I should say sorry for earlier,” Sujin started to say.
“No, no, I shouldn’t have grabbed you like that and if it makes you feel any better, we only got one deer all morning.” Yoongi interrupted her, stopping her from making things even more awkward.
“I have to admit that I’m not mad hearing that at all.” Sujin grinned even though she knew that culling the deer probably was for the best. It didn’t mean that she had to like the idea and she definitely didn’t have to let Yoongi know that.
“So it’s a little early for drinking isn’t it?” Yoongi glanced at the bar behind them and he could faintly smell vodka between them. He hadn’t thought that Sujin would be one for day drinking and especially not with hard liquor. “Wait, were you waiting for me?”
“No,” Sujin said mockingly. “We’re on a scavenger hunt for the wedding. Hey, so I just ran into Yeri and I barely recognized her.”
“Yeah...she never really recovered from what happened, what that guy did to her mom…” Yoongi trailed off knowing that Sujin probably felt the same way. It wasn’t something that you just got over.
“Are you serious? Man, what are you doing? Can’t even go to the bathroom without you trying to run back to her.” An angry voice came from the bar door. Sujin barely contained the urge to roll her eyes. It was like a habit now when she heard Namjoon’s voice.
“Namjoon…” Yoongi sighed as he looked at his friend in irritation. He had heard enough from Namjoon in the past five years and he knew that it was just going to get worse now that Sujin was back.
“Did you ask her about the truck?” Namjoon questioned, pulling open the driver’s seat door and climbing in. He didn’t want to be around the couple any longer than necessary and he’d drag Yoongi away if he had to.
“Excuse me?” Sujin asked, looking at the truck in confusion. She registered the blood that had been mostly wiped off of the windshield and she wondered if that was what Namjoon was talking about.
“You know it wasn’t her,” Yoongi said in exasperation. He didn’t like what Namjoon was insinuating. It was also ridiculous since Sujin had just said earlier that day that she didn’t want to see anymore blood shed on the island.
“Yeah, sure. I know who did it and I’ll get him later,” Namjoon said, starting the car.
“What’s going on here? What are you two talking about?” Sujin asked. She could guess that someone had thrown blood on the truck but she didn’t know what that had to do with her. She hadn’t even been near the truck until now.
“It was nothing.” Yoongi turned back to her and shrugged his shoulders to show her that it wasn’t a big deal. He didn’t need her to worry about it.
“You know what, leave Yoongi alone okay? You left and he was awful afterwards. It was like a puppy that got scolded, so just leave him alone.” Namjoon said, outright glaring at Sujin now as he leaned out of his window.  Sujin stared at the ground in front of her in awkward silence, not sure how to respond to Namjoon’s comments.
“Ignore him, I was fine,” Yoongi said, walking over to the passenger side of the truck. Sujin didn’t say anything, glancing up at him once before catching Namjoon’s gaze again. He narrowed his eyes at her and it took everything in her to not say something to him. She really was beginning to hate him more than she already did which was impressive. She didn’t wait for them to drive off before she turned on her heel to start on the path that she had sent Jin down. Maybe helping him reunite with Jieun would make her feel better.

My VIP experience at the DWTS Light Up The Night Tour!
Hey everyone! I wasn’t going to do a post about this but I decided to so I could look back at it and remember every detail.
This was the first DWTS tour I went to so I obviously don’t have any other experience to compare it too.
I went to the show on January 21 in Buffalo, NY. It said to arrive the latest at 5:15 and the show started at 7:30 pm. My mom and I got there pretty early and checked in. We got a cute reusable bag with a tumbler cup and each got 1 free drink ticket. We walked in the bar and there was the gif booth that was fun and had great lighting lol. That room leaded to the main room we’d be in that had a few tables and some chairs.
Not even 5 minutes being there I saw Lindsay’s husband, Sam, and asked him for a picture. He said of course but had to make some announcements first. I didn’t know he was so involved in the tour!! So that was really awesome. He was very nice and I asked him about Hawaii because I saw they went after the season ended.
The other guy who did announcements was hilarious. I don’t remember exactly what time the dancers came in but I’d say around 5:30? I saw that the people in the professional photo are alternating and same with the people that mingle un the room. It was very organized. We were given a lanyard and they had a number on it. We had 5. They called you up by number and there were about 10 people in each group. I’d say there were probably 12 groups total?
Alan and Sharna were in our photo along with Frankie, Jordan and Lindsay. Keo and Brandon were in the room talking to people. Keo came and sat in my mom’s seat ( I have no idea why she was standing) but he came to us first and started talking to our table. He was so nice and easy to talk to. He thought I was funny and asked what my name was and shook my hand. Then we took a picture! I just made some funny remarks to him like telling him he better have a good show and make it the best. Then he got up and a line started to form to talk to him and Brandon and take pictures. It was cool that we didn’t have to wait in that line because he came right up to us! (Our table was right where people exited the photos. When they all first came in they went on the little stage and got water and he came out that way.)
It didn’t take too long for us to be called for our picture. I was so nervous!!! I already had planned what I wanted to say to each person but I wasn’t sure how rushed we’d be. When Same told us we were ready to go Alan was right there ready to greet us with a hug. He was soooooooo cute in person, oh lord!! I wish I had said more than just hi to him but my mom told him she hopes hes a pro again. (Which is what I planned to say lol). Lindsay was next in line and I told her she was even prettier in person. I planned to tell her how much I admire her and how amazing her choreopgraphy is. But…Jordan was next to her and heard what I said and was like “aww thank you!!” so that kinda caught me off guard from my plan lol. I don’t remember exactly what I said but I said something along the lines of oh you are too. And gave him a hug. I wanted to tell him how awesome he was and that I also admired him but yeah he caught me off guard lol. I’m so sad I didn’t say more to them!!! Sharna was next and I was so excited to meet her. Her eyes were SOOOO blue. She gave me a hug and I told her how sad I was that her and James didn’t win. I can’t remember what she said but I remember her laughing but yeah I can’t remember for the life of me how she responded. Frankie was last and I gave him a hug. I told him I loved him and his contemporary was my favorite. I think he just nodded but I’m not sure. Then we posed for the pictures. They took 2 thankfully. After the first one, my dumbass said “I can’t believe you guys are real” and they all laughed lol. Then Jordan whispered to me “one more”. Then we said bye and they were all so enthusiastic saying bye.
We sat back down at our table and it already felt like it didn’t happen! Not too long after they finished all the photos and then they lead us to the merch table. Everything was pretty overpriced to be honest. Even the programs were $20!!! Another thing was, for clothing they charged an extra $5 for XXL. I thought that was discriminatory. (My mom wanted a shirt and is an XXL but didn’t wanna have to give an extra $5)
After that, we had about an hour and a half before the show started. The doors opened at 6:30 but we were hungry so we walked somewhere to have dinner. We went back and our seats were awesome.
I’m not gonna go into too much detail about the show itself but the first half went by so fast! There was a 15 minute intermission. The commentary that Frankie did was hilarious. Obviously it was scripted but he was great. He did his Argentine Tango, Foxtrot? and Cha Cha. Jordan did his freestyle, Samba and Foxtrot. He was also in a lot of the dances with pro’s while Frankie wasn’t. (Makes sense but also have to feel bad for Frankie) The second half had a lot of Disney dances. Emma and Sasha had a cute dance together. Jenna was in a lot of the number and had a lot of solo stuff with the guys. The show was amazing and it was so cool to see them dance in person. The show went by so fast!!
Things I would change about VIP: for the amount of money paid to be a VIP, I still feel like we could’ve gotten more than a bag and a tumbler. It’s nice don’t get me wrong, but I think they could’ve included a program for everyone. $20 is a little ridiculous. I also wish more dancers came out to mingle than just 2. I know not all of them and they rotate between that and the pictures, but I was hoping to be able to meet more people. It would’ve been better if there were 3 people out there. I was hoping Jenna would be one to come out but she was doing a livestream during it so I knew she wouldn’t be. I was talking to one lady and she said that last year they had some cheese and crackers for the VIP’s but they had no food or snacks. The one free drink was nice though.
Yeah idk. I’m so grateful and happy and thrilled I got to go. If there was any tour I would’ve wanted to see, it would be with Jordan. Frankie was an awesome extra bonus. I regret not saying more to Lindsay and Jordan because I love them so much! I doubt anyone even read this or this far in general lol. I guess I wrote this more for myself to remember the little details! BTW, the pictures took less than 48 hours to upload on the site and turned out really great. I’m glad they took 2 pictures in case one didn’t turn out good!

Short fic on Sally,Flo and Lynda all having a girls day together in RS and they all have so much fun together exploring the town and talking about their husbands and the crazy things they've all done?
YES. GOOD PROMPT, ANON. GOOD PROMPT.
“Do you think they ever get tired of just driving around in circles all day?” Sally asked. “They’ve been at it for almost an hour.”
The entire town was parked beside the dirt track at Willy’s Butte watching Doc, Strip, and Lightning fly around the oval over and over again. They weren’t really racing, just enjoying each other’s company and trying to best each other in friendly competition. Three generations of racers having fun.
“You’d be surprised.” Lynda told her.
“Watchin’ them drive like that is starting to make my mind go ‘round in circles.” Flo added. “You girls wanna go for a drive? Get away for a little while?”
“Yeah, sure!” Lynda happily agreed.
“Absolutely.” Sally smiled.
They left everyone else watching the “race” and headed back to town. Radiator Springs was peacefully quiet with everyone gone. It was beautiful. They drove down the freshly paved road and looked at all the empty buildings as they went by.
“Do you think they’ll ever have businesses in them again?” Sally asked, feeling a bit sentimental about the town she never truly got to see.
“In time, sweetheart.” Flo assured her. “People just gotta recognize that we’re back on the map!”
“This all brings back a lot of memories.” Lynda commented, looking around. “I grew up in a town a lot like this.”
“I thought you seemed like a small town girl.” Flo winked at her.
They turned right out of town and headed for the vista. The long stretch of open road before them seemed to beg to be driven on. They found themselves gradually going faster and faster as they entered the forest.
“Woo, I ain’t got over 40 miles an hour in years.” Flo exclaimed with a smile on her face. “I forgot how good this feels!”
“Come on, Flo, give it what you got!” Sally encouraged, slowing herself so as to not outrun the two older cars. “It’ll be fun!”
Flo sped up little by little, but slowed drastically for the turns. “Girl, I can’t take these corners like I used to.”
“Then try this.” Lynda suggested as they rounded the corner before the straight stretch that ran beside the lake. She gunned it and shot past Sally in a flash. Flo watched her, smiled a little, and did the same. Unsure that they were behaving in their best interests, Sally quickly sped up to keep up with them. She knew she could handle the speed, but the other two? They weren’t built to be sporty or fast, to her knowledge.
On the other side of the pond, Lynda slowed down and let Flo catch up.
“Dang, honey, you’re hiding some serious power!” Flo complimented her. “That inner derby girl is still kickin’!”
“Oh, now.” Lynda smiled and rolled her eyes a little, downplaying it. “It’s nothin’.”
“Mm-hm.” Flo saw straight through her. “I know a Hemi when I hear one.”
They drove up the road on the side of the mountain and stopped for a breather at the overlook by Wheel Well. Sally of course had to show them her favorite place, as even Flo never really went out of town. They sat there and appreciated the view in silence for a long time.
Out of the blue, Flo lets out a warm laugh and sighs. “Did I ever tell y’all the story of how my first date with Ramone played out?”
“No, do tell.” Sally replied.
Flo laughed again. “I was in town with my Motorama girls and suddenly this low rider comes up to me. And boy, let me tell you, he was a smooth talker. And I was used to that sort of thing, but my Ramone was on a whole ‘nother level. Within a matter of hours, he had me sittin’ next to him at a table in the local cafe.
“We were havin’ such a good time, just talking about anything under the sun, but then some pickup truck that no one knew showed up and tried to talk to me, buy me drinks. Ramone got real defensive, let me tell you. He gets up, raises up on his hydraulics, and gets in the truck’s face. I’d never heard such lewd Spanish insults in my life!
“The pickup wasn’t gonna tolerate it, though. Seconds later they were out on the streets, havin’ a knock-down-drag-out. The entire town was watchin’, and I was embarrassed, more than anything. I just wanted it to end. So what did I do? I stepped in. That truck was layin’ on his side in no time, completely confused. He’d just gotten his tailpipe handed to him by a show girl.
“After that, Ramone told me it was best if we go out of town for a while, and he took me up here to watch the stars come out. That’s when I decided I couldn’t leave.”
“Aww.” Lynda commented. “That’s wonderful, Flo.”
“Ramone never really struck me as a fighter.” Sally pondered. “I guess there’s a time and place for everything, though.”
“Sure is, honey.” Flo confirmed with enthusiasm. “How about you girls? Got any good stories?”
Sally and Lynda both moaned in unison, and then looked at each other and laughed a little. They knew the pain of having a racer as a significant other.
“I don’t even know where to start.” Lynda muttered.
“You know, The King doesn’t really strike me as the type to really get into trouble or do anything spontaneous.” Sally told her.
“Maybe not now, but we were young once.” Lynda elaborated. “He would go to ridiculous lengths to try and impress me, even though he didn’t need to. We were already dating. Whether it was winning some race, or getting me something elaborate, it didn’t matter. He always wanted to do better and one-up his previous attempt.
“I remember one time I got mad at him for gettin’ himself hurt one night at a race. The accident could’ve been avoided had he not been showing off. I’d told him over and over that he needed to stop trying so hard. He just wasn’t gettin’ the point. It’s kinda funny lookin’ back at it, ‘cause I don’t really know why I was so furious at the time, but I really laid into him when I found him by his sponsor’s tent afterwards. And then I left. I just left him there without saying another word.
“By the time I got home, I felt guilty as all get out. I knew I should’ve handled it better, but I was still too emotional to try and apologize. Two days went by and I didn’t hear from him. Typically, he’d call at least once a day. Lord, I missed him. I’d made up my mind to go to his next race, and try to find him and apologize.
“I never got the chance to. One night, real late, my doorbell rang, and it was him. The sprinkler in the yard was raining water down on him and he just looked so sad. And he tried to apologize to me. I told him it was me that needed to apologize. We made up and it was fine. We’d finally reached an understanding. But I later found out he’d waited outside for nearly ten minutes before ringing the doorbell, waiting for that darn sprinkler to rotate and give the illusion it was raining on him. I wanted to smack him.”
“That’s hilarious, actually.” Sally laughed a little. “I would never have dreamed he’d do something like that.”
“Oh, he’d deny it now.” Lynda assured her. “But what about you, Sally? Surely you’ve got something to add.”
“Ugh.” Sally rolled her eyes. “The town might’ve gotten rid of Sticker’s cocky attitude, but he’s still over-confident. I kid you not, two weeks ago, he comes into the Cozy Cone and tells me he’s got something to show me. Something about Doc showed him a new trick.
“He takes me out to the track and tells me to watch. He just takes off and makes a couple laps, nothing special. But then, according to him, anyway, he sees a snake cross the track and freaks out. He tries to avoid it, but gets loose in the dirt. Ends up flying straight at Willy’s Butte, and he can’t stop or change direction.
“He ramps off of a smaller rock, hits the side of the butte and comes to a standstill resting on a ledge on his rear bumper, straight up and down, nose in the air and everything. Can’t move at all. So, of course I rush over there to see if he’s okay, and he is, except for his ego. I couldn’t reach him to help so I had to go get Red and Mater to tip him back over on his wheels. I still don’t know what it is he wanted to show me. He refuses to talk about it.”
“A good time, maybe?” Flo giggled a little.
“Maybe he just wanted to impress you with his spontaneous endo skills.” Lynda laughed.
“I don’t know. It doesn’t make any sense to me.” Sally sighed. “I don’t think he’ll ever make sense.”
“Oh, they never do, sweetheart.” Flo assured her. “It don’t matter how long you’re around them, they’ll always manage to do something that just blows your mind and makes you reconsider your life.”
“Gotta love ‘em anyway.” Lynda added.

NCT- A Strange Fight || Gang Au- part 4
Group: NCT- all members
Theme: Gang AU
Type: Series- fluff + angst
*Warning- this series will cover some dark themes such as abuse, drugs, and crude language so please read at your own discretion, if these themes make you uncomfortable at all, please do not read this
Plot: Picks up right where we left off in part 3 with Taeyong at Doyoung’s door. We discover some secrets that were probably much better left unknown and a mild fight breaks out that only serves one purpose- to leave you with a million questions chasing each other in your mind.
Previous parts: 1, 2, 3
“Taeyong, you should know by now, this is the wrong side of town. Where’s your boyfriend that you stole from us?” Johnny asks sharply.
“First of all, I didn’t steal him, I saved him from you monsters. Secondly, he’s much better now that he’s not with you,” Taeyong glares at Doyoung.
“He asked ‘where is he’ not ‘how is he’. And besides he’s probably bored out of his mind playing house with you. You can’t lock up his true side forever,” Doyoung growls as he leans into Taeyong.
“Whoa! We aren’t here to fight, we just want Y/N. Where is he/she? He/she is not gunna be staying with horrible people like you, god knows what you would’ve done-” Yuta worries.
Taeyong leans in to whisper in Jeno’s ear as Yuta continues to talk, “Jeno, go get him/her.”
Jeno nods firmly and steps in to grap your wrist and pulls you away from Renjun. Renjun pulls you right back and says, “No you aren’t taking him/her, he/she’s staying with me. He/she doesn’t even know you, he/she’ll be safe here with me.”
“Are you serious? You’re really gunna lie like that? Once he/she figures out the type of people your ‘friends’ are, he/she’ll be coming to us anyways so we figured we’d just make things easier,” Jeno sneers, tugging your wrist again.
“Why are you lying to yourself? You’re only doing this because it plays to your advantage. I said, Y/N will be fine with me. Sure my friends aren’t all that great but your’s aren’t any less. Y/N trusts me and unlike you, I’d never take advantage of that,” Renjun points out as he tries to pull you towards his side again.
You let go of both of their hands resolutely to give them a piece of your mind only to have Yuta grab it and says with finality, “Y/N let’s go. You’ll be staying with us.”
So Yuta pulls you away from Renjun’s security and the strange purple-silver and blue-black haired guys, you find out to be named Doyoung and Johnny, respectfully‘s shared home. He leads you to his van and you get in to take a seat willingly, but you keep looking back to see Renjun’s distressed figure. Your mind has so much going on to the point it just blanks out and you can’t really process what’s going on. You absentmindedly wave at Renjun as the van pulls away from the strange house.
Jeno puts his arm around you in a purely reassuring manner and says delicately, “Y/N, I know this all must be a lot to process right now and-”
“Jeno, I’m tired,” you say quietly as you rest your head on his chest and drift off.
______
You wake up groggily on a soft bed and look around at your new surroundings in the semi-darkness. You try to figure out where you are and who’s bed you are in and the moment you do, you hear a soft knock on the bedroom door.
“Come in?” you call out in confusion.
Jeno pokes his head in softly and turns on the light, which immediately makes you squint and makes him chuckle softly. He sits down at the foot of the bed and asks, “How are you feeling?”
You just blink blankly for a few seconds before breaking down into tears suddenly. He instantly engulfs you in a comforting hug and strokes your back gently.
“Jeno.. what’s going on? I don’t understand. First it was my dad then I find out Renjun’s parents got arrested then you guys show up and I don’t know what was going on between you and Jun and why are they bad people. I just don’t understand any of it,” you sob miserably.
“It’s ok-”
“No! It’s not ok! I’m so lost, so clueless. I don’t know what to do Jeno. My dad is in fuckin jail and he’s the only family I have. Renjun is practically family too but I can’t be with him because I don’t know how his parents are in jail too. They are such nice people, I don’t understand.”
“Y/N I know you’re scared and just really confused but we will explain everything to you when you calm down a little bit. I promise you, we will take really good care of you. Yuta and Taeyong hyung have really big hearts and really want to make sure you are ok. You are in really good hands, there’s no one better than them. Now do you wanna eat something or would you like to freshen up first?”
“I think I’ll freshen up first so I can collect myself, I don’t want to be a mess in front of everyone. Thank you for everything, I’m glad I met you because I don’t think anyone would’ve done anything like this after days of just meeting me.”
“Yeah, it’s nothing much because everyone here has been through some tough times so we’ve gotten used to stuff like this. Ok, go take a shower now, I’ll go grab some spare clothes and a towel.”
“Ok,” you whisper as he gets up and leaves the room to retrieve the items he just listed.
______
“Be careful, I got some hot soup coming through!” Taeyong exclaims as he carries a pot to the table in a red apron. He sets it on a hot pot mat then he turns his attention onto you as he asks in a complete mom-like manner that made you think of your own. “Is there anything I can get for you Y/N?”
“No thank you, this is plenty,” you say politely with a smile.
“Alrighty then, let’s eat then. Dig in everyone,” Taeyong says as he claps his hands and looks over everyone with a content smile.
A comfortable chatter fills up the table as everyone’s hands reach over to grab a helping of everything. You take some of the soup Taeyong made and try it right away. “Mhh! The soup is delicious! It has just the right amount of spice and flavor!”
“My Taeyongie made it with love, it’s good isn’t it?” Yuta asks adoringly, as he holds his hand. “Aww Taeyongie you’re so good at everything, I’m fortunate to have you.”
“Aww, you’re no less babe,” Taeyong replies cutely as he leans in to kiss Yuta.
“Hey can you guys not do this at the table? You’re gunna make Y/N lose his/her appetite,” a usually smily guy named Ten exclaims.
“Haha no it’s ok. It’s kinda cute,” you chuckle.
“Ugh. You’d better just get used to it then because they do it everyday,” an annoyed brunette, Kun warns.
You just smile to yourself as you continue to eat. You didn’t want to admit it but the soup was a little better than the one Renjun’s mom used to make for you when you were a kid. Sadness fills your brain again when you thought of her, what happened to her and her husband? They were the kindest, sweetest people you’ve ever known and they felt more like your parents than your real ones. There was a hole that his parents filled in your heart when your parents went through a nasty divorce, and now you find out that these same people are rotting behind bars. You have to find out what happened to them, it doesn’t matter what they were charged with, you knew it was false. They couldn’t ever commit a crime and they’d never do it especially when they had a kid to look after, so what happened?
___
After helping to clean up, everybody gathers in the living room and offer to answer any questions you have. You sit a bit stiffly but everyone else seems to be very comfortable- Kun and Ten are causally cuddling together, Taeyong and Yuta are not-so-causally- cuddling, Haechan and Chenle fight over the remaining space on the couch, Jeno sits next to you, and the eldest member, Taeil, sits quietly beside Ten and Kun.
“Uh, I really appreciate you guys doing all this for me so my biggest question is ‘why?’ Why are you letting me stay here even though we just met?” you start off.
Yuta looks at you softly before answering, “We’ve all been through a lot in the past about taking care of people and over the years we realized what it’s like to not have anyone there for you when you’re going through all this stuff. So when we found out what happened, we quickly knew that we had to be there for you. And I understand that kid, Renjun is it? He may be your friend and you trust him a lot but the people he’s with aren’t as kind as he is. And yes we did just meet yesterday but I’d rather you stay here safe with us than to be with those people that Renjun is with.”
“What makes them bad people?”
“Well I’m sure you’ve seen those marks on your friends right? Yea, those came from the older members of that group,” Taeyong answers a bit reluctantly.
“So why don’t you do anything about it? They can’t get away with it, they can and should be arrested for doing stuff like that!”
“It’s much more complicated than that Y/N. There’s much more to it than just turning them in-” Taeil speaks out softly.
“But is that more important than people getting hurt?” you blurt.
“Y/N... it’s really not as bad as you think,” Jeno speaks out.
“Not as bad as I think? Jeno, I just saw my best friend in the worst shape I’ve ever seen him in his life and you’re trying to tell me it’s not that bad? I’m sorry, I have to go,” you say as you promptly get up and rush to the front door.
“Y/N! Wait!” Jeno shouts as he runs after you.
“Jeno, its ok let him/her go. He/she will come back, just let him/her cool down first,” Taeyong reassures.
You bolt outside and decide to call up Renjun. First call went straight to voicemail. Then you ring again and again, all to no avail. You had half of your questions answered but only Renjun could answer the other half and you needed them right now.
You sigh and sit on the front steps, just looking the night sky, letting the cool air soothe you. Golden light illuminates the steps and you hear two pairs of feet scuffle on either side of you.
“Hey Y/N,” Chenle pips up.
“Hey guys,” you say quietly.
“We got you hot cocoa-” Haechan says, handing you the cup quickly.
“And a blanket” Chenle says as he drapes the blanket around your shoulders.
“Thanks guys,” you thank with a sincere smile.
“We just wanted to come out and tell you, it’s ok to be upset and angry and stuff. We’ve all been there and we know how much this all sucks, but you are gunna be ok. These guys are something else, they’ve endured a lot especially Yuta hyung. The two of us didn’t exactly give him a warm welcome when he joined our gang but it was Taeyong hyung that went to them and brought him out. Taeyong hyung saw that there was something good in Yuta hyung so he stuck with him and helped him to change to the person he is today. When I first joined, it was just for fun. I saw a bunch of guys from our school hanging out and I wanted to be with them and it wasn’t ever supposed to be this. I never imagined that I would end up calling these losers my family but when I lost my parents to a car crash, it was Yuta hyung who was there for me. Even though I gave him a hard time, for some reason he stuck with me and made me feel like I belonged here with them, my family,” Haechan causally narrates as he fiddles with a random branch.
“I ended with them a little differently, I still got my parents but they’re never there. They never cared about who I was as a person, they only saw what they wanted. Here with them, I discovered what it meant to belong like Haechan hyung said. Ten hyung taught me how to stay true to myself and if I never had him to guide me, I would’ve been a much different person. I wouldn’t have bothered to stick to this group or care to be a good person but everyone here taught me a lot. Ok I know it may seem like we’re just rambling a lot but I guess our point is that we’re all here for you and you don’t know us that well yet but if you give us a chance, we’ll grow as a family. Shit this is hecka cheesy but Y/N I promise we’re being honest. They wouldn’t have done this for just anybody, we all see that you're someone special and we want you to a part of our family. You don’t gotta say anything right at this second but just look at how everybody cares for each other here. We want that to be you one day,” Chenle admits.
You sniffle, “Thanks guys, really I know it probably wasn’t easy to share all that. I really do appreciate you guys for seeing something in me, the way you two talk about being a family together, makes me desperately want to be a part of something like that. The only place I’ve ever really felt loved and wanted was by Renjun’s parents. That’s why this all hurts so much, my dad... he can do whatever, but Renjun’s parents, shit. What happened?”
A voice booms from behind you, “Y/N? May I talk to you?”
You turn around to see Yuta leaning against the door frame with his hands in his pockets, “Yea, sure. Excuse me guys, thank you.”
You follow Yuta into the house where he leads you to an empty corner, “Y/N, I won’t give you a long lecture or speech or anything. I’m sure you already have enough to take in for one day, I’ll save my story for another day. I wanna quickly tell you that, you’re welcome to stay here for as long as you’d like. Don’t ever feel like you’re a burden or anything crazy like that. We all want you to feel safe here so get comfy alright? Also I wanted to tell you that, I’ll take you to visit your father tomorrow, if you’d like so you can talk to him. Lastly, I want to promise you something. I always promise something to everyone and my promise to you will be that I will find a way for Renjun, your dear friend, to be safe as well just like you. Ok that’s all, good night Y/N.”
You just smile weakly and barely whisper, “Thank you.”

Hi i was wondering if you could do a scenario where Manami and Onoda discover their s/o cheated on them?
aww you rly like to break their hearts, don’t you?Meeting you was the best thing that had happened in Onoda Sakamichi’s life, next to making friends with everyone in the biking club. You were an extra ray of sunshine in his life. The two of you had been inseparable since you had begun dating. Now that he was in his third year, graduation was around the corner and Onoda was thinking about a lot of things: if he wanted to go to college, his future in biking, and you. His life with you. Marriage was something he had been contemplating for a while now. Every since you and him exchanged your first ‘I love yous’, he was smitten. It wasn’t until recently that you had begun to be distant and Onoda couldn’t figure out why. Maybe you just had a lot of graduation things to do? Your club wasn’t entirely as time-consuming as his, but he let you have your space. He knew it wasn’t healthy to spend every waking moment together. As time went on, he noticed you had begun to avoid him - or at least that was what it felt like. Your usual Friday plans were cancelled and while he thought nothing of that, it was the continuous amounts of cancellations that made him wonder if he had done something wrong. One day he decided to come over to your house unannounced to confront you. You had been ignoring his texts and calls, so he thought that he ought to ask firsthand if he had done something to wrong you. When he had shown up, you had looked shocked.“Sakamichi, ah - what are you doing here?” You asked nervously.“I just wanted to talk, (Name)” Onoda said with a sad smile. “I feel like I’ve done something to hurt you…or make you upset and I just want to find out what I had done to apologize and to make it better. I miss you…”Your heart was breaking. It felt like it was shattering into tiny pieces right then and there and you just smiled humorlessly. “You…you didn’t do anything, Sakamichi. It was me. I did something…” You managed to finish.“What do you–” before Onoda could finish, he heard a voice in the background.“How much longer for the cookies, Love?” the voice asked and instantly Onoda knew. His whole world came crashing down at once. So that is what you meant when you said you did something. “Nevermind,” Onoda said, smiling through his pain. His upper lip twitched and he could feel tears beginning to form. He blinked them away, not wanting to give you the satisfaction of seeing him cry.“No, please…it isn’t…” You begged, looking back at the other person, then to Onoda.“Good bye, (Name)…” Onoda said and quickly walked off, unable to control his tears the further away he got. He ignored your pleas in the background as he began to sob.===Manami Sangaku and you had known each other since you were little. You, him, and Miyahara would all do stuff when Manami wasn’t sickly. Riding bikes was your favorite activity to do together. Often you and Miyahara would have to wait for Manami since he was a bit slower.Flash forward to high school and now he was a starter for one of the most notorious schools that had ever competed in the Inter High. It was around middle school that you and Manami had started dating. It was more fickle than anything. You were both kids. Now that you were in high school, you saw yourself more as adults and even though you always got back together after breaking up.Prior to the start of the InterHigh, Manami had wanted to make it even more official. Your relationship, that is. You and him were often on and off and he wanted to tell you that he wanted it permanently on and to actually date you properly. While he thought that technically you were already permanently dating or an actual couple, he wanted to be certain. He had texted you prior to meet you before your clubs. You were in some sort of weird club and the two of you weren’t in the same home room, so you had to meet up whenever you could. You hadn’t texted him back yet, so he wondered if you were in school today.Either way, he headed to your club room and that was when he found you standing there, kissing on someone else. Manami just stood there in utter disbelief. “(Name)?” He asked, wondering if he wasn’t looking at you but maybe your twin. Everyone had a twin somewhere, right?“Sangaku!” You jumped away from the other person. “Ah, I– let’s talk.” You said and excused yourself, before heading out of the room and closing the door.“I didn’t think we were really seriously dating…I mean we were always on and off.”“We always got back together, but that was when we were kids…” Manami explained. “We never really said we’d be dating other people…and we hadn’t officially broken up, so I thought we were a couple.” His voice sounded flat.“We didn’t make it official either!” You threw back, trying not to sound clearly embarrassed.“I thought we did…I guess it doesn’t matter much anyway, does it?” Manami retorted and sighed. “Enjoy your relationship, (Name).” It wasn’t meant to sound nasty; he genuinely hoped you were happy. He began to walk off, ignoring anything else you said. You needed time. He felt sad and weirdly heart broken. The two of you were always together and he didn’t think that’d change…so why did you?

Bunni continues to play Richard And Alice! Random thoughts and stuff!
* I’m really not good at point and click advantures, so i dunno if my opinion is very valuable, but this one just seems... not good, gameplay-wise. The sections are all different lengths and difficulty levels in each chapter, and not in a fitting way. Like so far the only one where I had to combine two items was the first chapter, it took me ages to figure out what the game wanted me to do with the bedsheets. And then the second chapter had like zero point and click at all, you just had to find one toy brick and stick it to block one hole, then it was just story cutscenes. And now in chapter three we have a suddenly huge snowfield to explore with your painfully slow walk speed, yet there’s only like one thing you need to find and just... I’m getting surprisingly anxious worrying if I missed something cos i only found that one thing! There was a whole section i didnt explore cos i didnt realise you couldnt go back outside after you managed to open the door. And what was with the misdirect of Alice saying ‘maybe i can reach this window if i have something to stand on’ and then instead she just shot off the lock on the door? Does that mean there were multiple solutions to this puzzle and thats why the place was so huge?
* Anyway, the story continues to be intriguingly good! I continue to be really engaged in poor Alice’s journey through this post apocolyptic snow world with her lil son, and I continue to be really worried what happened to that son, since this is a flashback and Alice met Richard alone... Also I like the continuity that Barney is continuing to talk about the close call they had last time with a monsterous bastard who kidnapped them. This poor lil 7 year old is struggling to keep up and struggling to keep smiling so his mum won’t be sad, and its just SO COLD and he doesnt understand why they left ‘the safe house’ because he doesnt understand they were prisoners there. And god, its so sad cos you can understand how Alice might be getting frustrated with him, and you can understand that she KNOWS she’s being irrational, but she’s just so scared that she sucks at keeping up a brave face for her kid. But I think she’s doing a great job, she’s way more of a badass survivor than anyone else would have been in this situation! And Barney is being incredibly good too, he’s being really patient and obedient to his mum and he’s a really considerate kid, he gave his mum his toy car cos she was getting sad remembering when her husband was alive and they used to ‘go on adventures’. (”But we’re on an adventure now, mummy!”)
* And MAN I am REALLY WORRIED for this poor kid, he’s been showing signs of getting sick as they were travelling the snowy wasteland and I hope they can at least get a break now they’ve found this abandoned house to sleep in. BUT NOPE! Alice finds mysterious scary notes with some sort of log of... people...? It definately doesnt feel like just someone recording visitors or survivors they met, its got a weird sort of... priorities, to what was written down. ‘Fem. caucasian. 20s. Compliant. 65lbs.’ And then what struck me as especially weird was that someone would classify a kid as ‘Female. age 7. 21 lbs’ instead of like.. actually writing that it was a kid. This is someone seeing these people as.. merchandise. You never really get an answer in this chapter but I think it’s someone who was offering survivors fake shelter and then cannibalising them T_T The chapter just ends with Alice finding an ambiguously scary room with a bloodstain, but this is the only shelter they have, so all she can do is lock the door again so her kid doesn’t see, and barricade the front door in case this cannibal cult comes back for their home base... *shudder*
* But also seriously, why did I collect like five other red herring letters as well as the cannibal one? And a rusty saw and ammo for a different gun. Was that JUST red herrings or did I miss an optional puzzle?
* Its actually a weird relief to get back out of the flashback and back to our slightly-less-horrible horrible situation in present times. Sure, Alice and Richard are locked in prison, but in this apocolyptic scenario its a relief to be somewhere where you get daily food and working electricity. There’s even a tv that only sometimes doesnt work! And they have each other, and they’re building up a nice friendship now, and it just feels quite optimistic. Richard’s even getting a bit of a crush on Alice, even though the attempts at flirting between the two of them are failing horribly cos they’re both total goobers. i dunno, if they do get together in the end, I totally wouldnt mind it! I dont think its really necessary though.
* Aww but the more we learn about everyone’s backstory, the more I really wanna hug em! We still dont know very much about Richard, but we’ve learned now that he had an ‘average childhood’, at least, by his definition. And he lived in some sort of small country town, and he joined the army in order to see more of the world. But it went really badly and he got sent to prison for rebelling against a superior officer who made a clearly immoral order. JUSTICE FOR RICHARD, GRARR!! And then Alice continues to be way more well developed and interesting, even though I do still feel sympathetic for richard, yknow. Just a lil frustrated that it took us so long to even hear that lil bit about him, when he’s supposed to be the ‘main character’. Seriously he seems like just a framing device for us to talk to alice and see her flashbacks! Anyway, now we’ve learned that Alice didn’t have much of a childhood, because she was hospitalized for a long time. And she talks about how she felt like a burden and felt suicidal and how she never even got to make any friends til she grew up and became a lil more healthy, and then she sorta ended up in an unplanned pregnancy with the first man she ever dated, and never had a chance to pursue her dream career and just... wow Alice dear god, someone up there in the heavens hates you! God, I hope this game has an actual happy ending, please! And also it makes me EVEN MORE WORRIED about what happened to her kid, now im starting to worry if maybe he inherited her childhood disease and like.. it only first started manifesting during the apocolypse and she wasnt able to find a doctor in time.. or something... MAN THIS GAME IS GIVING ME A MILLION WAYS THIS SWEET BOY COULD DIE
* Oh but one random complaint... much as I care about Barney, he kinda isnt a very well written character. They fall into a lot of super outdated ‘fake movieverse child’ cliches instead of like.. bothering to listen to what actual kids talk like. He’s always using that fake cutesy talk like ‘i made you a waffle but i eated it’. Its rather jarring! ...but still I WILL DEFEND MY VIRTUAL SON FOREVER dont you dare kill him off just because his dialogue is poorly informalized!
* The next chapter is kinda boring, its not really even a chapter but just an intermission to show us some more gameplay and nothing else. Richard and Alice do nothing but have an awkward fetch quest to find enough stuff to make a pole to reach the termostat outside the jail cell, and then after all that it ends up failing anyway. I guess at least we do get a bit of character development cos we get to see them both frustrated and having a bit of an argument, then making up again, and etc. But meh, bring on the next actual plot flashback!
* “Why does Daddy live in the ground?”
* thats it im done this is how bunni is slain fucking hell
* god, I dunno if I made the right choice but I chose to be honest with the kid and try and explain what death is. I got to hear the backstory of how the dad died, so i THINk that was the right choice? It seems he died back when barney was too young to even really know him. It was at the start of the apocolypse and the family was doing semi okay living in a shared shelter with a bunch of other people. But then it was the start of government aid breaking down and society crumbling, and a gang stole the last food ration pack from them and the dad thought he could reason with them. And its just so sad cos Alice is thinking of all the ways it could have been prevented! ‘We’ve gotten used to surviving with less now, what if we’d just let that food go? we could have lasted’ And what if they’d shot first and asked questions later, instead of trying to be diplomatic. And apparantly back then things were a little less abd so there actually was a trader they could have got more food from, but resources were limited so they decided it wasnt worth it at the time. And the after the gang killed the dad and some of the other leaders of the shelter group, it seems like things just collapsed in a power struggle and thats how Alice ended up alone... And you just have this sad sidequest to gather flowers for his grave and then Barney is all ‘i dont really know him and i dont understand so i feel bad that i cant cry’ and then he’s asking if dead people can hear you from down in the ground. And I picked being honest again, and Alice didnt say yes or no, she just admitted that nobody really knows what happens after you die, and you have to choose what you want to believe. So Barney chooses to try and tell his dad about how they’re having a good day playing in the snow on this adventure, and Alice tells him that Barney’s grown up so big and strong, and Barney says ‘Yeah! Strong like a lion! Or you, daddy!’ and BUNNI’S SOUL SHATTERS INTO A MILLION PIECES
* i am gone i am deceased at this deceaseness aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
* And there’s like an optional note you can find that tells the story about some unnamed kid who was living alone with their friend Lucy and they were trying to survive without any adults to help, and its all SCARILY VAGUE and I hope we get to learn more about them later cos it just says how the same gang who killed the dad was just.. ominously circling around the area and Lucy was acting weird and then dissappeared, with a letter saying she chose to leave for [insert name of far away settlement here] but it was really suspicious and the unnamed kid thinks that the gang was threatening lucy and they must have kidnapped her and faked this note and then the diary just ENDS it just ends with the kid talking about how much they love lucy and cant live without her and we dont know if they found her or if she even really was kidnapped?? ITS SO VAGUE! its so vague that honestly im only just assuming the diary writer was a kid too, i mean maybe they were lucy’s parent or sibling or something? or maybe both them and lucy are older? but the way it was written sounded like they were like early high schoolers or something (then again this game is bad at writing kid characters so maybe not) I MOURN FOR YOU, UNNAMED DIARY PERSON AND LUCY OF MYSTERY
* OH GOD DOOM when it went back to modern day, now its got all mysterious and weird and sad too, AAAARRRGH the heroes are still in prison, but the guards have stopped coming to their cell and theyre stuck here scared and worrying and you dont know if the obvious has actually happened... i mean maybe the prison has been abandoned or everyone died and now they’re stuck here locked in their cell and AAAA eventually the cold will start seeping in and kill them too and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
* okay im gonna go get back to playing this game
