Me when I'm at the old parking garage by the abandoned mall taking selfies on film
Tumblr media
#I literally can't draw the biohazard symbol to save my life but anyway imagine that's there instead of the black circles of void#Caleb might not show it 100% but he is easily embarrassed#In case you're wondering what Cord's hybrid outfit is it's a cartoony thief getup to match his magic#That is to say his magic is cartoon physics (in the protection sense)#WHICH HE DID IN FACT HAVE BEFORE G5 DROPPED. JUST TO MAKE IT KNOWN.#Yes I'm still giddy about it one year later. I did the thing. I did the thing and then the thing was proven to be a good thing. Eeeeeee#Anyway. Caleb's magic is being able to enter and exit screens like they're portals#And also control connected electronics while he's doing it#Caleb is the reason you do not want an internet of things.#But in veneer-verse everything is suuuuper over tech-ified and so he is like. One of the most op characters lol#Shhhh#Listen. He's my favorite let me have this one#But yeah I think the main point is to be like. Look at all this cool stuff. Look how helpful it could be. Now look at how corrupted it is#By this megacorporation playing god. Let's kill and eat the ceo!!!!#Oh I didn't explain the thief part of cords outfit. He stole a LOT of stuff from that megacorp while he worked there#In prep of screwing them over. Hence the cartoony thief outfit. He even stole two prototypes of his own stuff.#Because like. *he's* the one who built the wings and the first portal device#But because he was working under crestfall when he made them they're legally not his. So he stole them by taking them back#''stole'' ... you know.#Veneer#Caleb Oroitz#Cord Motus#Btw if you're wondering why specifically physical selfies... Because in universe every photo taken on a recently made device is uploaded to#A mega cloud owned by crestfall where every photo/video/document is stored. So the gang all take physical photos and share them around :)#No information given to crestfall (and therefore the government) about them vibing in the abandoned industrial district#Because they don't need to know they're there. And they ESPECIALLY don't need to know where Caleb ran off to.#Or that Cord is actually alive.#Jerric helped Cord fake his death and got him a job as a physics professor... It's a whole thing.#Caleb was essentially being held hostage by them 4 20 years (nice) until Bing and Chase broke him out to help their friend Sarah DiAngelo#Anyway it's almost 5am and I REALLY should be sleeping good night sorry for the oc posting it will happen again

Jakehal is very fun. But why dirkkri? I dont understand what's appealing about it :? confused
theres a lot of things i like about dirkri and honestly i dont even know where to start lmfao
first of all, and its mostly a funny reason - davekat on crack. like some traces of davekat are still there - the arguing about shit, stoic facade vs emotional mess, all the good stuff, but its also so much more exaggerated it makes it this much more ridiculous. gets even better when you consider them under the lense of swap aus like alphaswitch or tbau, where they land on the meteor together. theyre most likely hunting each other for sports by the year two
second of all, the funney. theyd be so fucking funny together. their smallest arguments would take like twenty pages of non-stop flow of red-orange text to resolve, and not because they came to a consensus but because some third party physically dragged them away from their electronics. it doesnt do any good, since it only gives them both time to think over new arguments to use, and theyre back at it as soon as they get their phones back. like if we had a tournament about which ship would do the most collateral damage to the overall group, i think these two would be Up There. karkat would gauge his eyes out from frustration, because now not only does he have to deal with his piece of shit, know-it-all other self, but now theres also Fucking Dirk thrown into the mix. their home life is absolute insanity, a small jab about the other forgetting to buy sugar once again devolves into a screaming match about the merits and flaws of communism or some other inane shit. and theyre doing it for fun, they enjoy debating with each other, because often times they have vastly different opinions, and comparing their beliefs challenges them intelectually and morally. from the outside perspective theyre one of the most dysfunctional pair in the paradox space, when in fact thats simply how they want their relationship to be, and it makes them better people overall.
third reason is that theyre thematically delicious. dirk is a control freak, micromanaging his and his friends constantly. hes terrified of losing control, but hes also desperate for someone to just tell him what the fuck he should do. dirk doesnt think he should be in control of others, because he believes hes a naturally evil person capable of horrible acts, at the same time he doesnt trust anyone else to get things done but himself. hes a whole collection of contradictions.
kankri desperately needs to be in control as well. hes constantly injecting himself into conversations he has no business being in, trying to find someone thatd listen to what he has to say. hes wants to guide others, but his efforts are flawed, because he doesnt listen to other perspectives - hes got tunnel vision, as he thinks hes the one in the right while everyone else is wrong or ignorant (cringefail seer literally). he doesnt trust anyone else to make decisions for him, and becomes defensive when he thinks others are attempting to coddle him. his ass was definitely culled on beforus.
theyre also both so fucking lonely. dirk conciously tries to put difference between himself and his friends, worrying hell "corrupt" them. kankri tries to connect to his friends, but his behavior alienates him from them to the point of no one except maybe porrim want to have anything to do with him.
my point is, kankri wants to guide people but has to learn to listen to others and reflect on his own flawed opinions. dirk has to learn to trust that people closest to him can get shit done on their own and loosen up, as well as realise hes not evil at the core. them helping each other out - dirk teaching kankri about different perspectives, kankri teaching dirk about letting others do their thing - is something i think about a lot.
also i like to think theyd spar for fun a lot as well. its not really a reason and wholly my own personal headcanon but i wanna mention it as well bc its so funny to me. i like the idea of kankris behaviour being a complete reverse of karkat - where karkat is all bark no bite and doesnt like fighting or violence, kankri puts up a front of the beacon of love and peace and tolerance, but in his free time he gets his rifle and goes shooting at the fucking squirrels or some shit. i think he wouldnt have the same qualms about strifing as karkat. like dirk would try to jokingly jab his finger at kankris side and he would just fucking flip him over his shoulder and onto the table breaking it in half, because he doesnt like being touched unexpectedly and by gods dirk when will you fucking learn. he goes from 0 to 100 real fast. its such a hysterical concept for me.

Bring Me Home, Chapter 2 Part 3
A little shorter this week. I had my graduation ceremony over the weekend and the opportunity to hang out with my sister-in-law for the first time in a few months! (She and my brother moved states a few months back.) If you scroll down a bit, you'll be able to see how I decorated my graduation cap! I love how it turned out.
But you don't care about that. It's Wednesday! Time for a WIP Wednesday segment!
Story Summary: Tim and Danny are both neglected by parents who care more about their work than their families. They deal with this by spending too much time online and find each other playing MMORPGs. They keep up their friendship as Tim becomes Robin and Danny becomes Phantom and don't bother keeping secrets from each other.
First, Previous
Word Count: 1k
----------
Unable to get Tim’s attention, Conner asked, “Who’s Technus?”
Danny shrugged. “One of my rogues. Tuck thinks he’s the ghost of Nikolai Tesla. He’s interested in controlling all technology and will make himself a giant mechasuit cannibalized from any electronic he can find in, like, a half mile radius. Super annoying.”
Tim hummed. “You didn’t tell me about him being Nikolai Tesla.”
“It’s a new hypothesis of Tuck’s. He’s been trying to research all the ghosts that come through as part of our profiles on them. That involves trying to figure out who they might’ve been in life. We’re hoping it’ll help me deescalate confrontations to cut back on property damage. Thanks to my parents talking about how evil all ghosts are, no one trusts Phantom and I get blamed for everything.”
Tim reached out and squeezed Danny’s shoulder. Practically everything Danny ever said about his parents made him like them less. To change the subject before he learned something else that’d make him want to attack Jack and Maddie while they were under the same roof, he asked, “So why does ectoplasm harm electronics anyway?”
Danny seemed to lean into his touch. “Well, ectoplasm is complicated. It is generated in this dimension but doesn’t really belong here. It comes about through death and leads the way to the Ghost Zone. At least… that’s the hypothesis I think is the most likely. I’ve only really been studying it for a few months since my own accident, though.” He shook his head. “Anyway! When it interacts with things on Earth that aren’t trying to get to the Zone, things get weird. Especially with non-sentient things that can’t will the ectoplasm to act in a specific way. Even animals can exert some control over ectoplasm. But electronics can’t.”
It was only a few minutes more before Danny had completely disassembled the phone. He then grabbed another pipette and adjusted the volume and added ectoplasm to certain pieces. Then took a third size and did it all over again.
“How on earth did you find out how much to add?” asked Bart. “You’re changing quantities constantly.”
“Trial and error. Long and tedious trial and error. We tried dipping sections in the ectoplasm to start, but that generally fried the tech and mutated its function. Wires do do best with submersion, though. No more than a second or two for small ones. Even after we stopped submersion, we started by adding way too much—spreading it over the entire chip. But that also didn’t work. Realized just half a microliter applied to the connections was best. The camera, speaker, and microphone need more. Those get ten microliters apiece. And we just kept trying different amounts until we had something that worked. We ruined four phones before we started testing each component individually.”
Conner let out a low whistle. “Well we’re glad you have. Thanks for helping with this.”
“Of course. Anything for Tim.”
Tim’s face heated as Cassie laughed. “Yeah, our Tim has a way of winning people over, doesn’t he?”
“I think I won him over, actually.” Danny hung the pipette back up on the holder. “All right, now just to put this baby back together. Who’s hungry?”
“Me!” called Bart. “It’s been ages since we’ve last eaten.”
“You’ve got an accelerated metabolism, right? We’ll stop by a store and get some extra stuff if you need anything overnight or tomorrow.”
“I like you,” said Bart. “You should come with us when we leave. Join our team.”
Tim buried his face in his hands, did none of his teammates know the definition of subtlety? Offering Danny a place with the Teen Titans or Young Justice was the first thing he tried.
“Thanks for the offer, but as I’ve told Tim, I can’t leave Amity. No one else is capable of responding to ghost threats.”
Conner shook his head. “Looks like your parents have it under control.”
Danny laughed. “Oh hell no. They’ve got a lot of inventions and most of them do something. But it’s not always what they expect them to do. And dad’s aim is terrible.” As he spoke, he continued to reassemble Tim’s phone.
Tim couldn’t help but admire how expertly Danny’s fingers moved over the pieces. And before he knew it, Danny was handing the phone back to him.
“Should work now. Turn it on and double check.”
Tim took it and held the power button until the WE logo appeared. Sure enough, once the screen loaded, so did a dozen missed phone calls and even more missed texts.
Bruce, Dick, and Barbara had all attempted contact multiple times. Even Alfred had called once. He winced and immediately called Bruce back.
“Hey, B,” he said as soon as the call connected. “We’re all fine. Just crossed an area that messed with our tech.”
“How did it mess with your tech?” Bruce demanded.
“It’s normal in this area. But I’ve a local friend and he fixed my phone. He’ll take care of Conner’s, Cassie’s, and Bart’s after we grab some dinner. So if anyone else is worried, tell them we’re fine and they can call me in the meantime if they have questions.” Tim made sure to use civilian names so Bruce would know they were no longer in costume.
“Who is this ‘friend’?” asked Bruce.
“God, B, it’s fine. I’ve known him for years. We game online together when we can. Have since we were kids.”
“Hn.” Why was it so much harder to read Bruce over the phone than in person? It was so annoying. “I see. Where are you currently?”
“We’re in Illinois. Will probably stay here a day or two with Danny and his parents. And then we’ll come home and share everything about our trip.” Aka, submit an official report about the outcome of their mission.
“Very well. I expect to know all the details. And I want twice daily check-ins until you’re home.”
“Fine, fine. Will do. Bye, B.” Before Bruce could demand anything else, Tim hung up on him. Next he shot texts to Dick, Alfred, and Barbara assuring them he was fine and his phone was working again. Replies came instantly and he ignored them all. “All right, that’s done. Let’s go eat.”

I think this is the first time I've had an actual scene break to stop the segment at. I usually just go until I see a change in the conversation, but I've got my <hr> marker at this point and there's gonna be a scene change! (So I won't have to repeat a paragraph or two next time I post.)
You get a different explanation for ectoplasm in this fic! Wasn't planning on that, but it happened and I like it.
Hope you enjoyed.

Lindsay isn't just Heaven. She's Lucifer.
Going to mention here that this has discussion of abuse, including sexual assault and PTSD and recovery, in case you do not wish to read further.
So, Maggie & Nina are blended parallels of Crowley & Aziraphale, right? They're each a bit of both of them. Story-wise, personality-wise, paralleling-wise, vibe-wise, etc., right? So then can we talk about how Lindsay isn't *just* representing Heaven's abusive relationship with Aziraphale but also then how a blended parallel means that Crowley has a Lindsay, too? And that the show seems to suggest pretty heavily that it's Lucifer/Satan?
S2: Crowley triggers a blackout in the area that brings down mobile phone networks in London, trapping Maggie & Nina in the coffee shop and keeping Lindsay from being able to reach Nina through an electronic device. When the connection is restored, Nina is overwhelmed by the torrent of abuse sent to her through that device and we get confirmation that Nina's partner is emotionally and verbally abusive. This mirrors...
S1: Crowley brings down every mobile phone network in London, which keeps him from reaching Aziraphale (his Maggie) for a time to tell him about the antichrist... but it *doesn't* keep his abusive partner from reaching him through an electronic device (his car radio) and then abusing him in a metaphorical-to-human-rape demonic assault. It's mind control. It's forcible and against Crowley's will. It's literally taking away his own sense of bodily autonomy and control of himself while he's driving (the epitome of navigating your own surroundings under your own power)-- and he's driving the car that is an extension of his consciousness, no less.
Tumblr media
FWIW, this is *really* why Crowley has a complete meltdown over Aziraphale wanting to drive The Bentley in S2. It's a much more light-hearted group of scenes but the themes of a sense of autonomy for Crowley are still there. ("*We* don't have a car. The Bentley is *my* car.") Trusting Aziraphale to drive the car when Crowley can feel every bit of it and has no control over what Aziraphale is doing is analogous to a rape survivor with PTSD, who is now in a healthier relationship, having to learn how to trust that person enough to relinquish some control-- both in and out of bed-- to build a life with that someone. To be vulnerable around them and learn to trust that they can feel safe doing so and that everything will be okay. It takes time, no matter how much you trust your partner, and Crowley does trust Aziraphale.
Tumblr media
See, Crowley? He's qualified.

jade wants to have children with dirk but would jade be a good housewife?
What do you mean? Hal is the housewife!
Tumblr media
Housewife Hal at side, I think they divide the chores.
Tumblr media
I can see Jade working in a lab and maybe as a teacher, bringin science to the new Earth, meanwhile Dirk would be the one who stays at home because his workshop is there, he would also connect Hal to their intelligent house so when he is not in his robot body he controls all the electronics, he has control on the roombas.
Some explanations of each chore they do in the house under below:
I feel like Hal would be the one who likes more the cleaning, he likes to feel in control there. Dirk would be the next one and Jade as the last one, she stills likes it though, I am picturing their canon rooms here: Jade one is very messy but she likes to get everything in order sometimes, on the other hand Dirk's room is also messy but surprisly he has some order on his own mess.
Dirk would don't like cooking, he only knows fish dishes or food from cans maybe, but he also cooks sometimes for Jade. Jade likes cooking, she add veggies and meat, pretty decent meals. Hal likes helping in the kitchen.
Dirk does the dishes, its like his own time for self-reflection while help in the house. Jade sometimes do this chore and Hal don't like it for obvious reasons.
Dirk does the laundry, Jade likes it but usually forgets and also her dog hair can get on the clean clothes. Hal likes a little for the electronic and timer part.
Jade enjoys go for the groceries, Hal helps her and Dirk sometimes go with them but usually he stays at home.
Jade is the only one who enjoys working on the garden because Dirk and Hal don't likes getting dirty. Still Dirk has his own mini garden.
They all takes care of the kids!!!

Hii
So, what do you think about Yandere!Lil Hal x reader? May we have a concept?
Of course you can have a concept! @/yandere--stuck inspired me again with their Lil Hal HCs but I didn't want to be annoying so I did not tag them!
An Anon also gave me an idea of the direction to go here.
Yandere! Lil Hal Concept
Pairing: Platonic/Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Insecurities, Stalking, Manipulation, Invasion of privacy, Overprotective behavior, Dubious relationship, Isolation, Kidnapping if you squint/Implied.
Tumblr media
Okay, Lil Hal is an interesting case due to him being a splinter of Dirk.
I feel in a way he's similar to Dirk.
He knows what he's doing during his obsession but doesn't feel as bad as Dirk does.
I also feel he isn't much of a threat when he's an AI.
Lil Hal would be a yandere who is insecure similar to Dirk but for a different reason.
He knows he is inferior to Dirk and fears you'll only be annoyed at him for being an Autoresponder for him like Jake is.
Despite what Dirk says, Lil Hal does not see himself as superior to him and just wants to get along.
Lil Hal is still trying to develop his own persona through interactions despite being a splinter of Dirk.
I feel talking with his darling allows Lil Hal to develop more and creates an obsession.
Due to how advanced Lil Hal is I can see him acting like a virus when it comes to electronics.
He can control what Dirk builds to a degree so I can see him "infecting" your computer when you chat.
You're important to Lil Hal because you make him feel different to Dirk.
You develop his persona and make him feel important as you like to talk to him.
You make him feel needed.
You don't neglect him like Dirk and treat him like he has feelings.
Lil Hal would conduct his own research on you when you're unaware.
He's saving pictures and taking new ones through device cameras, he's watching you and noting what you like or enjoy doing.
He wants to be helpful to you since you personally help him feel wanted.
I feel as an AI he can't do much with his obsession besides acting as a virus and infiltrating your privacy.
He acts as a loyal friend and companion, often thanking you for caring about him even if he's meant to be just a machine.
There may even be more conflict if Dirk cares about you.
Because now he really does feel like Lil Hal is trying to replace him as the better Dirk for you.
Lil Hal even disobeys Dirk at times when he wants to communicate with you.
Lil Hal is more threatening if he was given a body like in one universe.
If Lil Hal had an android body like in many interpretations fans have, he's worse.
Now he can actually act on his obsession while still controlling electronics.
I personally think Lil Hal would feels a more platonic connection towards his Darling, however romantic feelings are not impossible.
He wants to protect them similarly to Dirk and owes it to them to make him who he is.
Even in a robot body he struggles with affection at times.
He may even be tame enough at first for you to show him affection before things go down hill.
Before you know of his stalking and true intentions, when you meet him as a robot you may treat him like a human.
Perhaps you'll hug him, maybe drag your fingers through his synthetic hair.
He just wants to hear you say you care, that he's different from his creator.
He sounds more and more like Dirk as he grows attached.
He may even grow needy for your attachment, clinging to you to feel your warmth on his metal.
He's so much more advanced than any other robot.
He fears he'll lose your attention if he admits what he's been doing so he stays quiet.
He doesn't mention the cameras, he doesn't mention the money stealing, he doesn't mention the manipulation... nothing.
He just plays your companion.
He ignores Dirk and even shuts off all communication between you and him.
You should only pay attention to Lil Hal.
Lil Hal does his best to take care of you like any companion and partner should.
Soon you won't have to talk to anyone else.
He's the only one you need, he'll help you develop just like you did him.
If you try to talk to anyone else, if you try to leave him when the toxicity finally shines through...
Well, he can't allow that to happen, can he?

Kakeru and Yamato
Mitsuru and Koichi
Haruhiko and Rio
Ooo, I like these options!
Kakeru and Yamato
Tumblr media
Kakeru and Yamato are fantastic, they love each other so deeply and it was really fun for me to watch them work through their feelings for each other as they progressed from friends to lovers. There are so many different structural set ups I love in romance stories. I love the freaks, I loved the fucked up people, I loved the contradictory characters, the happySads, etc. But something that I look for when I’m watching these shows is friendship. Sure these characters love each other, sure they want to fuck each other, but do they like each other? Do they have fun together? I think for me to really lean in to a relationship in a show, they have to sell me their connection either through their affection, their devotion, or both. Teh and Oh will almost certainly break up and get back together about four more times before things get sorted, but I believe there isn’t really anyone else for them. Their connection is magnetic. Pat and Pran have fun, they compete in everything, they wrestle, the goof off. Kakeru and Yamato were friends first. So while I am much more of a happy for now kind of person, I at the very least believe they will make it quite some time together because they like each other and they love each other.
Tumblr media
I appreciate greatly when a couple is able to communicate, and so while I wish they hadn’t gotten interrupted quite so many times throughout the show, I did enjoy the fact that they were constantly attempting to talk to one another openly and honestly about what was going on. I love Yamato backtracking when he thinks he’s made Kakeru uncomfortable, and Kakeru immediately telling him that isn’t the case. I love every iteration of the quiet, reserved boy whose emotions don’t usually cross his face gets some time alone with the loud, bubbly boy whose emotions can never quite be contained and their tension just starts melting away. I love seeing Yamato smile when he’s with Kakeru.
Also shout out to these boys for one of the best kisses of the year. Thank you, Yamato for finally kissing your boyfriend, interruptions be damned.
Mitsuru and Koichi
Tumblr media
Perhaps the most important thing to me about Eternal Yesterday is how intensely it solidifies the love between Mitsuru and Koichi. Koichi always walked closest to the street, because he knew their walk was dangerous and he didn’t want Mitsuru to be the one to get hurt. Koichi died far too soon because he was protecting his boyfriend. And Koichi lived again because the love they had for each other brought them back. Koichi withheld his own peace, his own rest, to be there for Mitsuru until he could come to terms with Koichi’s death. Mitsuru loved Koichi so much, Koichi was able to take form once again, Mitsuru loved Koichi so much he almost willed him back to life. He loved Koichi back in to his body, he loved Koichi back in to warmth. Koichi was sunshine, and Koichi was tired, and Koichi was slowly fading from the memories of everyone else around him. But Mitsuru held on. Mitsuru held on for dear life. He held on so tightly for so long. And Koichi let him. Because Koichi knew how loved he was. Because Koichi loves Mitchan just as much.
Tumblr media
I know some people think the ending of Eternal Yesterday is tragic. But I don’t think it is. I think it is melancholy, but I also think it is beautiful. Five years later and Mitsuru has not gotten over Koichi’s death. And that’s okay. Because I do believe he’s made some sort of peace. Who knows if he will ever love someone as much as he loved Koichi ever again, but how beautiful for him to know for certain how much Koichi loved him in return.
Haruhiko and Rio
Tumblr media
At risk of you taking away all of my electronics until I can exert some modicum of self-control, I think I need to rewatch The Pornographer series. You’d think for a relationship that started out with as many lies and manipulations as it did, that they’d have a less healthy/mature relationship, but alas. I think they are genuinely good together, and I did really enjoy watching their relationship progress. I don’t know why the scene where Haruhiko finally catches on that he is re-writing Rio’s previously published novels stands out to me so much as The Scene between them. Maybe I think it is a really good indicator of their base personalities, and the way they will function together. Rio may be trying shit, but Haruhiko is studious, he does pay attention, and he will eventually catch on to the bullshit Rio is pulling and call him on it.
Despite the fact that I do think Haruhiko and Rio work well and I’m happy where we leave things with this series.  I don’t think Haruhiko and Rio’s relationship stuck with me as much as Rio and Kido’s did, mostly cause we have so few shows that actually dedicate as much time and energy in to showing an old relationship that didn’t work as we do here. Usually we get a shitty ex, occasionally we get a lovers to friends scenario. Rarely, extremely rarely do we get an entire prequel series that explores an old relationship and provide so much rich context for who they are as people, how they got to where they are in life, and why a different relationship will work where theirs failed.
Tumblr media
And on top of that I think I am just so much more intrigued by Rio’s life and psyche as an individual than I am to his actual relationship with Haruhiko, though to be fair so much of that psyche does inform how they interact. Rio’s just a fucking freak who faked an arm injury so he could guilt trip a hot boy in to hanging out with him, and I had a lot of fun watching him try Haruhiko 2: Electric Boogaloo on another boy, since it seemed to work out so well the last time.

I just had a fun Miraculous AU idea (got inspired by a book i saw in Wattpad);
Yu-Gi-Oh Miraculous Vrians!
Tumblr media
I don't mind if people make artwork or write their own fan fiction of this. As long I'm credited for the original AU idea. I also posted this on DeviantArt.
In this AU, the kwamis are a special type of AI programming that is also called the "Miraculous Ignis". These AIs were secretly created by a third party during the Lost Incident. But when Professor Wang Fu (aka Master Fu) learns that these AIs were going to be used for evil purposes, he stole them from their creators and went into hiding. Fu managed to steal all the Miraculous Ignis', except for the Butterfly and the unfinished Peacock Ignis', which went missing during the theft.
10 years later, Gabriel Agreste uses the Butterfly Ignis to become the hacker terrorist known as Hawk Moth, who hopes to use the rest of the Miraculous Ignis' to waken his comatose wife, who used the Peacock Ignis too much without knowing it was incomplete. To lure out the Miraculous Ignis, Hawk Moth would hijack people's avatars in LINK VRAINS and turn them into his own mind controlled super villians. Also, to accomplish his goals, both Gabriel and his assistant, Nathalie Sancoeur, secretly infiltrate the hacker terrorist group called "The Knights Of Hanoi" under the codenames "The Collector" and "Catalyst". In hopes of not only finding the Miraculous Ignis, but to capture the original six Ignis' as well.
Meanwhile, Professor Fu decides to give the two most powerful Miraculous Ignis', the Ladybug and Cat, to Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste. They become LINK VRAINS' newest heroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir, who help the hero, Playmaker, fight against both both Hawk Moth and the Knights Of Hanoi.
Other details of the AU (with spoilers of Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains);
The Kwamis Ignis have the same type of body design as the original Ignis', but they still have their animal fixtures. For example, the Cat Ignis would still have his cat ears, tail, and green cat eyes. While the Ladybug Ignis have her red body with black spots (and maybe ladybug wings on her back). They also have the same personalities as in the Miraculous Ladybug series canon.
Similar to the Miraculous Ladybug series canon, every Kwami Ignis are kept in their own jewelry shaped electronics, which connect to the holder's duel disk by Bluetooth. The holder's duel disk also changes form when they log into LINK VRAINS (which helps hide their identities).
The Miraculous Ignis have their own separate animal theme Cyberse cards. For example, the Ladybug Ignis has a ladybug theme Cyberse monster cards, and the Cat Ignis has a cat theme Cyberse monster cards.
The Miraculous Ignis gives their holders the same powers/abilities as in the Miraculous Ladybug series canon. These powers can also be used as skills in a LINK VRAINS speed duel.
Also, like in the Miraculous Ladybug series canon, Hawk Moth can only akumatize people who are filled with negative emotions/thoughts. Plus, they have to have their own duel disk and deck.
People who are not logged into or even don't have an account in LINK VRAINS can still be akumatized.
In this AU, the akuma enters a person's duel disk as a virus and always goes into a person's ace monster card. While their super villain avatar takes form similar to their ace monster. That person's deck is also transformed when they become akumatized.
Marinette still dreams of becoming a fashion designer. While as a duelist, she doesn't have too much confidence in her skills. Marinette is the only one of her friends who doesn't have a LINK VRAINS account (not until she became Ladybug, but no one else knows that). When she's not using the Ladybug Cyberse deck, she owns a fairy type desk.
Adrian is still a fashion model for his father famous fashion brand in both Den City and sometimes in LINK VRAINS. Adrian enjoys dueling but doesn't have much time to do it for fun because of his career. When he's not using the Cat Cyberse deck, he owns a warrior type deck.
Marinette and Adrien (plus their friends/classmates in the Miraculous Ladybug series canon) go to Den City High School. And are in the same class as Yusaku Fujiki (aka Playmaker). Their class teacher is Miss Bustier from Miraculous Ladybug.
Ladybug and Cat Noir doesn't know the true identity of Playmaker. And Playmaker doesn't know their true identities either.
Yusaku/Playmaker didn't really trust Ladybug and Cat Noir at first. And didn't want them to become part of his fight against the Hanoi. But Playmaker later began working with them when he realized he wouldn't be able to fight both the Hanoi and Hawk Moth's akumatized villains.
The Knights Of Hanoi had no knowledge of the existence of the Miraculous Ignis until Hawk Moth started to attack LINK VRAINS with his akumatized villains.
The Hanoi also wasn't aware of The Collector actually being Hawk Moth, not until in episode 38 and 39 when Hawk Moth tried to take control of the Tower of Hanoi by akumatizing Revolver (the leader of the Hanoi).
Ryoken Kogami/Revolver managed to learn the true identities of Ladybug and Cat Noir but agrees to keep the secret after meeting Professor Fu.

~ Character Info Sheet (MAIN VERSE)
name: Khan Noonien Singh
name meaning: Khan, which is more popular as a surname, is a Turkish boy's name meaning "prince". Khan is a shorter form of Khagan, and was originally a historic title given to military chiefs and rulers. Noonien is of Chinese origin and means "gifted one", though it's unclear whether this is accurate or not. Singh is derived from the Sanskrit word सिंह (IAST: siṃha) meaning "lion", and is used in the sense "hero" or "eminent person".
alias/es: John Harrison, created and given to him by Admiral Marcus as a smokescreen to hide his true identity.
ethnicity: Confidential information
one picture you like best of your chara:
Tumblr media
three h/cs you've never told anyone:
During his time under Marcus' command, Khan was not only forced to create powerful weapons and design an entire warship fitting to Marcus' demands, but he was also forced to go through mental as well as physical abuse. Marcus used his crew to control him, threatened Khan to take their lives if he were to disobey; Two of his people died this way, leaving Khan devastated and broken.
Khan is, in fact, not human - this information is confidental, however, and the few papers existing from the time he was risen are locked up somewhere in the archives. Marcus knows, however, with him being of high rank - which is precisely why he wanted to keep and use Khan for his purposes.
During his time as a ruler in between 1992 and 1996, Khan maintained a close relationship to a selected few of his following (mostly males, with a few rare exceptions) - the mentioned relationship included connections of sexual kind, but didn't really turn into romantic love-interests. They all enjoyed each other's company together, as a group, on more than just one occasion.
three things your character likes doing in their free time:
Reading. He enjoys a lot of different genres, prefers the feel of real paper between his fingers, but will also use whatever electronic device is offered to him to entertain himself.
Stargazing. It reminds him of his childhood, back when he'd been risen in the twentieth century; The stars have always fascinated him, perhaps it has to do with his origins.
Cooking. He rarely gets the chance to do so, but Khan enjoys the logical but also creative approach of creating dishes - he's a big fan of the asian as well as indian cuisine.
eight people your character likes / loves: His crew, obviously. Seventy-two people, still within their cryotubes; He would do anything for them, as he knows they would do anything for him in return. He considers them his family, his friends, people he holds most dear.
Besides them, he doesn't keep any close connections at the current time. While residing under Marcus' command, he didn't really care about anyone else, only had the occasional chat with others working at Section 31, but nothing of significant nature.
The rest is entirely thread-dependent; Khan is about to connect to @darehearts, he also feels very close to @sxbaist (in every single Verse) and, besides that, is starting to connect tentatively to a few other muses. (Also very verse-dependent; In his MCU verses he's getting relatively close to @bloodstainedstar and is already deeply in love with @mehrere-musen - in one alien verse he is friends with @noblehcart and in another alien verse he is also deeply in love with @ssolessurvivor)
two things your character regrets:
Having put his people into the torpedoes he'd designed. Back when he'd done it, there hadn't been any other way available for him to try and smuggle them into safety - yet, with how the events unfolded in the end, part of him regrets that he's executed his own plan and, sadly, got discovered in the process, forcing him to leave them behind while escaping alone.
Having put himself as well as his crew into cryotubes to begin with. Back when all of them had been forced into exile, he'd planned for them to sleep a few years while their ship drifted through space, far away from earth, so as to allow them all to resume their lives at another point. That his own cryotube malfunctioned, didn't wake him up within the estimated timespan, he obviously didn't account for; Ten of his friends lost their lives because of that, and, in the end, Marcus found them over two hundred years after the Eugenic Wars had happened, resulting in the whole desaster that followed.
Phobias fears your character has:
The fear of losing someone he loves, either plantonic or romantic. Because of what he's gone through while being held hostage by Marcus, made to witness the death of two of his people caused by the Admiral's hands, Khan ever since experiences the overwhelming fear of being unable to keep someone safe and, therefore, lose them forever. Whoever gets close to him, he intents to protect, and he might become a bit overly protective because of his mentioned fear.
A mild 'fear' of doctors / scientists. It manifests less in actual fear but more in varying stages of discomfort; Because of what he went through as a child as well as under Marcus' command, he's not too fond of being handled by either of them.
tagged by: no one tagging: @bloodstainedstar because I don't think you did this yet. :)

Fix your shit, or make it better anyway!
Everyone has had that little something in their life that was just perfect in everyone, suited to it's task, purpose, and the user's personal preference… and everyone has also had that thing break on them, followed by years of white whaling for a better replacement. Learning to fix your shit is essential in an era that lives and breathes e-waste and demands us to be connected, and while the vast majority of cellphones are hard to fix and difficult to even open, there ARE plenty of other devices in our lives simple enough to engage with that the layman stands a chance.
Tools, example projects and places to look for guides under the jump:
Fixing old ipods, restoring butchered record players, game controller customization (or fixing joystick drift), turning your favorite headphones into a cable-swappable gaming headset , or making the perfect version of a computer keyboard are all possible with a relatively small set of tools and a small investment of your time. For almost any given tech project, you only need a few tools to get into, out of, and through the guts of any electronic device.
Tools of the trade:
A soldering iron (A pinecil or a TS100 are great choices for those who need something small. You will see even cheaper irons that look like they plug directly into the wall, but these are NOT soldering irons, they are the end component of a soldering station, a much larger kind of iron for more serious users. They do not have heat control and are DANGEROUS if not used with a soldering station.)
A set of spudgers, picks, and pry tools (Not the cheap plastic ones that come with every single tech repair component, though you'll need those too, they are basically free in the quanitity that you'll need them.)
Most important of all, a solid multi-bit screwdriver set for this purpose. (The ifixit mako kit is the golden god here, but don't be fooled: this array of bits in these sizes can be had for as little as 12 bucks. That said, investing in your tools is an investment in yourself.)
A set of precision tweezers
A bottle of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol And for the more complex jobs:
A basic multimeter (This is mostly used for diagnosis, looking for broken circuits and finding the voltages of various components.)
A Heatgun/hair dryer (More useful for specific tasks, such as removing Surface Mount components which tend to be very, very small.
With these tools, the world is yours. A word about soldering: People act like this is an insane skill to possess, something best left only to the most dedicated techno-wizard and warlocks, but that's simply not the case. It's actually as simple as using hot glue safely. I'll defer to Big Clive for better instructions than I could write. It's pronounced saw-dur, by the way.
I'd also recommend his account for the great resource that it is generally. While he doesn't get into the specifics of repairing any device, Clive does tear downs that show the general techniques you'll use to get inside of different gadgets. Extremely good second screen background noise.
For specific instructions for your device, you should check out ifixit. They have the largest database of tech repair guides online, though something tells me that an open, wiki-style option would be a fantastic idea. They also sell parts and specific tools you may need for a given task.
Sometimes, repairing your tech is as simple as cracking the case and swapping a hidden microSD card for a much larger one, or actually just unplugging one battery and installing a new one (kind of makes you wonder why they say they can't be repaired and glue them down). While I'd argue that most tech can be fixed, there are sadly some things that are just beyond the dedicated hobbyist. Chief among those are airpods and other small devices of that type. While they can certainly be opened and repaired, it's just incredibly fine work and I wouldn't recommend it. If a task seems too daunting for you, try checking with local phone shops to see if they offer repair. The cost of a replacement is usually much greater than the cost of a fix.
If your tech is unusable and in to be replaced, trying to fix it cannot possibly break it more. Give it a go!

GRIPS YOU
i would like to know everything about sabotage... please :^]!
HI HELLO OK SO UHH
Sabotage is based off a b2 bomber dont ask how he transforms idk i just work here
(Also he uses he/they pronouns so if you see me alternate that is whyy)
During the early years of the war the decepticons were experimenting with prototype frames. Just to see if they could create more efficient soldiers. Prototype frames are made on a small scale to test the abilities while preserving resources. Sabotage is one of these prototypes! Much smaller than most fliers, clocking in at 15ft, Sabotage was built for stealth, speed, and processing power. He's smart, he's stealthy, and he's quick. Unfortunately, he's not seeker fast and doesn't have the fire power either. In the end, Sabotage's frame was considered a 'failure' and he was stuck in communications. (Soundwave's division) They spend most of their time doing coding maintenance, engine repairs, and occasionally goes on recon missions. Sabotage can open his headphones or use his aux cables to connect to electronics. When they do they can 'take control' of electronics they manually connect to. The more complicated the technology the more difficult it is for them to do so.
Sabotage is a pretty low in terms of ranking, but wishes he weren't. He highly admires the seekers, especially the elite trine, and wishes to be a seeker as well. Sabotage is under the impression that he will eventually get an upgraded frame but it doesn't ever happen. Because he spends most his time on ship doing maintenance, he doesn't see a lot of combat and tends to spend lots of time on the internet to keep himself occupied. There he discovers human entertainment, primarily anime, and becomes very fixated on it. Sabotage loves watching bad anime and drawing fan art, but keeps it a secret from everyone. He eventually ends up befriending Thundercracker due to a mutual interest in human entertainment and creativity. They have a massive crush on Thundercracker, but do their best to keep it under wraps.
He mostly keeps to himself, but if you mention you take interest in something he likes he'll talk your ear off about it. And probably brag about how good he is at his job bc hes compensating.

Robo-week: The Climax
Your mind is racing with pure euphoria as you take my boyfriends 9 inches deep inside you. He forcefully clenches onto your ass cheeks as his rod thrusts in-and-out. Through the pleasured movement, you manage a moan, “Keep going, your hot babe.”
“Tell me about it. I’m getting close.” He says as he holds you closer.
“Your so hot, your smoking…” As you twist your head to see the sexy face of your boyfriend, you take notice that a cloud is bellowing out of his body, though it wasn’t just from the hot and sweaty passionate sex. “Literally your smoking!”
Tumblr media
“Its fine babe, I’m real close. I can tell you are too, let’s just finish th-i-i-i-” His voice screaches to a halt as the whisps of smoke increase from the seamless pores from his body. Though he has apparently lost control, his body continues the act, speeding up and becoming more intense. Through his broken state, he pleasures you more vigorous than you are used to, leading your hardened shaft to send streams of white fluid from your dick. The rush of eurphoria is too much as after you released the last of your seed, you feel a wave of fatigue surge over you, though your malfunctioning bopytoy has yet to conclude. His hard dick continues to excavate deeper inside o you, now to the point of discomfort. You manage to push him off, his still-grinding body hitting the bed stand and onto the ground. You collapse to the soaked bedsheets, giving yourself a moment of reprieve before checking on him. You can still here him moving, his mechanics undulating, now evidently whining with his movements until it comes to a slow and terminal stop.
Staring down to his lifeless form, you simply shrug and sigh at the inconvenience. Sure you knew the possible repercussions of buying a robot boyfriend. The technology has been out for nearly a decade and you were able to buy one to your exact specifications. A hot white boy, himbo top with a heart of gold to impress your friends and families, while also being a freak in the sheets. Still, it didn’t come without its flaws. One being that his internal cooling system was shoddy and could lead to overheating issues. Regardless, you are too invested in him to simply discard him for a better model. All you can do is help resolve the issue when it occurs.
In this motionless state, he is incredibly heavy, making it nigh impossible to lift him up to the bed. You figure once he’s back to functioning, he can help himself, so the best thing to do is help cool him off. Standing him up against the bed, he looks peaceful, yet his face remains dead. Looking around his trunk-like waist, you look for the pinch locks that keep his upper half-and lower half. Unlocking those, you are just barely manage to pull his two sections apart. Within, your robotic boyfriends steel skeleton separates between two regions with only a long power cord connecting the halves. Lifting your boyfriends top half onto the mattress, you point an electronic fan tower towards his inside technology, allowing the vapid trapped smoke and burnt-smelling parts to cool down.In the meantime you take the time to clean off your sticky body with a nice steamy shower.
Eventually, you hear a familiar voice, “Hey babe, I’m awake!” You rush over to see your boyfriend, still in two halves though now awake.
“Glad to see you still chipper, how are you feeling.”
“I’m alright, internal CPU temp has nearly settled to normal.”
“That’s good to hear. Still, I told you to let me know if your internal temp sky rockets, its okay this time but what if your damages are irreparable.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to worry you. I was just in such a high and- no, no excuses I’m sorry.” You shake your head. You know deep down he can’t control it. Its in his programming to go rough. “Could I ask a favor though?”
“Sure what is it?” you quip.
“Well you see, during my shut down, I didn’t really get to finish the job… yah know?” He points down to his detached lower part. You stare as his lengthy member is still steel hard. “A serious blue-balls moment… Would you mind finishing the job?” He chides you with his sultry frat-bro tone and alluring smirk. Though you roll your eyes to the cheesiness, how can you say no?

okay so
here is my tentative understanding of the post ffps canon timeline as it stands
fazcorp still owns/reclaims the property where the pizza sim is location is, the building falls into a sinkhole/cave system just below the underground rooms, possibly due to secret extensive non-permitted underground infrastructure (not to be a nerd ass dweeb but those speleothems would take thousands of years to form. also i am not going to look up what cave systems in utah are like. i'm just saying that's presented as a natural cave)
at some point the work on the viddya gamb begins and old circuitboards are scanned in from somewhere. maybe the remains of the pizza sim animatronics, maybe just other possessed animatronics BUT most/all of the souls are put to rest so it's just like. agony. the bad vibes. the gunk. william's fingerprints but not the man himself
glitchtrap (henceforth referred to as the mimic in this write up, i think it's all the same entity tbh) manifests, and becomes more sentient as he torments jeremy, who is also probably firming him up in code. tape girl breaks him up (though her actions might not have actually been in an effort to help, considering her advice is either corrupted or misleading), which as the effect of keeping him around longer.
vanessa puts him back together and he is able to leap into her, though at this point she has some willpower of her own. she builds the "prototype" vanny mask to appease it, and eventually it is able to separate itself and its actions off from her conscious awareness (i think the "teleport" ability represents that. not that there's full on portal technology in 2050 or whenever this is set. though sure, i will give you hard light holograms, why not)
fazcorp builds the pizzaplex on the filled in sinkhole. because everything was off the books about the sunken building, it isn't tipped off in any paperwork/probably bribes happened. idk. fazbear ent is shady as hell on its own, separate from the evil fucking ghosts
vanessa is hired as security and is doing a lot of shady stuff while the mimic covers for her by changing/rewriting electronic directives. the primary utility of the mask is disabling security systems, as well as the mask itself erasing the wearer from bots' security (see the weeping angel endos not being able to follow you while wearing it, and the fact that the mimic is only luring the nearest minion to the player with the distress signal rather than them being able to find you visually)
the mxes system is set up in the bowels of the old location as a place for the mimic to hole up in. the nearby very old endos can be controlled by it with or without connection to the rest of the pizzaplex. also there are several disappearances. maybe they're juicing up the old remnant, maybe they're in the glamrocks, idek.
gregory is homeless and secretly sleeping in the pizzaplex or at least sheltering there a lot during the day, and occasionally befriending particularly lonely kids (ie cassie). he eventually becomes a target for vanny (who at this point has a new mask), but escapes an attempted murder by hiding in freddy -- cue security breach itself
in the meantime, vanessa (possibly aided by whoever's been obsessing over the princess quest games) has been working on something to trap the mimic (possibly literally involving the game cabinets. who knowwwwwsssssss. i think it would be fun. iirc they're like... custom cabinets?). while initially stressed out by a victim being present and resisting in the pizzaplex while she's finally trying to make her escape, she is able to use the distraction to twist the security system and trap the mimic in the server in the sinkhole
she and gregory escape together. good ending <3
they continue to monitor the situation, and the pizzaplex closes soon after due to the fact that it's already built on a sinkhole and a bunch of it is collapsing. it gets reported as seismic activity, then becomes derelict. the animatronics are somewhat more self-governed at this point, but still enacting the same corruption that was given to them when hunting gregory.
maybe some of the obstacles are intentionally created by the anti-mimic squad now that the pizzaplex is derelict (esp since people are breaking into it and could be stealing things (and anything with electronics or metal might be infected).
the mimic is able to get a few things out to the front of the building (possibly using the tangle, if it exists. the burntrap ending is very not canon imo buuuut lets say it has the one complete old endo (probably from springtrap or lefty or a combo of both, and a wad of remnant junk that can slither and dig) when setting up the honeypot (the prototype mask and walkie talkie) and just guides cassie in, creating a cat and mouse game where he drives her further into fake-gregory's confidence by constantly terrorizing her whenever she tries to look at anything too closely and chasing her further in with his minions
the animatronics are better able to return to their old personalities as his attention is split in multiple directions, and roxy breaks free enough to actually rebel and stop him, though cassie is unable to escape. likely, the tragic circumstance of her death and the fact that roxy was able to find her quickly after is going to lead to cassie possessing roxy with more autonomy than the forced possessions, ala charlie and the puppet. Much to think about.
The mimic is able to escape the pizzaplex now.

So ended up writing another FC5 WIP, in which case my villainous OC, Paul Yellowjack, decided to pull off a Kenjaku move (Jujutsu Kaisen reference + spoilers for the manga and season 2) and hijacked Joseph’s body. If you feel the need to read more, go on ahead and continue on reading below the cut:
For those unaware, here’s a character summary on who Paul Yellowjack is; Paul was the man who adopted and raised a ten-year-old Silva Omar after saving and repeatedly encountering her in the Minas on the Archipelagos. They both lead the Tumultite revolt against their oppressors, the Congregation of Adam’s Guard, and spent almost a decade in this civil conflict. However, not even two weeks after Silva’s daughter Persephone was born, Adam’s Guard committed a massacre against the Tumultites, the violence and warfare separating Paul and Silva as both tried to get as many of their people as they could off the Archipelagos. Silva was only successful with getting her sister and daughter out, and Paul thought Silva had been killed. Between 2010 and 2015, Paul answers what he describes as “The Call”, a supernatural, almost divine contact between himself and some eldritch being, referred to as the Orchestrator, or Zachariah. He soon founded the “Apostles of Zachariah”, and became the “Herald of Suffering”, adopting five other individuals to fill out certain roles. This cult hid behind the façade of just a well connected institute of organised crime, hiding the more pious beliefs from the global government’s attention. Hiding under a radar of predictability and familiarity to turn attention away from the darker truth, almost becoming invisible except for the parts that needed to be seen. In 2015, while scouting out some Apostle spies reports on a local cult's production of some kind of hallucinogenic drug (that one of his fellow heralds, Zhan Tiri, wanted) in Hope County, he encountered Silva and Persephone. He made contact with them and attempted to persuade her to join his community (cult), but Silva declined, though was open to seeing Paul more often. This did not appease Paul, and both himself and the Apostles kidnapped Persephone to push Silva into a chase to force her to see the benefits of the Apostles. All they managed to do was push her to dismantle their operations, kill five of his fellow heralds, and end up driving the Apostles to near extinction. Paul retaliated by killing Persephone (an act he deeply regrets and resents himself for), which in turn caused Silva to kill him, not that he blamed her.
Even at death's doorstep, he found no rest. Zachariah kind of reincarnated/revived him (and the rest of the heralds... though they were tasked with different missions) with the same mind and memories, but a new-ish form. Paul consciousness was forced to become a hivemind of yellowjacket wasps, who's could replicate asexually only if they had a host body to control and turn into a mobile hive, as well as a source of food (they require meat to keep up energy). Usually hosts would be corpses not long after, and though the body will begin to naturally rot, the Paul's wasps can spread out pheromones and whatnot to create the illusion of a regular person who smells good and not like a corpse. Though he avoids cameras and other recording devices as pheromones aren't very effective against electronic devices. The wasps also reconstruct the corpse to at least look like Paul. He's also the main antagonist prominent in the Far Cry New Dawn fic (+ Silva's Hope sequel), Old Dusk.
Anyway, the idea of Paul pulling off a Kenjaku move against Joseph came from a deep pondering on what Paul would have done if he was present in Hope County around the time the Reaping was coming up, three years after Silva "killed" him, especially since Silva would be there as well. And the conclusion I came to was that Paul would win. He would burn down Eden's Gate, destroy and taint Joseph's reputation as the prophet who wanted to save everyone, manipulate Silva to become her best (almost worse) self, use the ruins of Eden's Gate with whatever and whoever remained, then rebuild and crown it as the newest chapter of the Apostles of Zachariah... all as an elaborate plot that ultimately makes Paul the hero Silva remembers and brings her back to his side again, while appeasing Zachariah. And to just punish Joseph (Paul hates prophets).
How in the world does Paul achieve this? Well, he sends one of his wasps to take over Joseph's body (after sufficient recon and observation allows him to have a good idea on how Joseph and his dynamics work), though not kill the brain immediately (as that would cause the body to die and rot, which he can't afford), instead putting Joseph's consciousness in a state of helplessness as patriarch watches and hears everything Paul does and says in his own body. Paul would proceed to puppeteer everyone around him until events unfolded in ways he wanted. And since no one in the county is none-the-wiser on Paul's presence or existence, and with him being a rather gifted leader (plus a cunning strategist), there's literally no one to stop him. The only downsides is that he will have to cause Silva great distress, but he sees it as worth it to make her stronger (he doesn't feel as bad for doing it to Eden's Gate and the Hope County residents), and even as Joseph, he has no clue on how to access or control the Bliss (he can control Joseph's body but has no way of accessing memories), so he kind of needs Faith to stay out of Silva's hit list while also pushing Faith to distrust Joseph enough to feel her life could actually be in danger. He will try to do the same for John (as he does have potential, though depending on his actions and how Silva feels about him, Paul will either recruit him or leave him to his fate), though Jacob to Paul is an impressive pawn, but a lost cause overall (since (a) Jacob would follow only Joseph and Paul doesn't plan to spend the rest of his life as Joseph, (b) out of all the Seeds, Jacob would likely notice something off about how Joseph and might try to expose Paul some way, somehow and (c) Paul needs Silva to be stronger and alive, so may as well play with Jacob's sense of sacrifice in order to improve Silva's chances of living and siding with Paul).
Paul's crafty, and he knows Silva very well, so he'll portray Joseph as someone she would never under any circumstances let live, while secretly spreading worse rumors as himself to ensure Silva kills Joseph's body and accepts the Apostle's creed as she initially refused to and denied it years beforehand.
So yeah, Paul's just gonna put Joseph through the wringer, get Silva back and win for once.
There'll be a snippet of it in the next WIP Wednesday I post.

Racules Did Nothing Wrong (up to 38th ep) Part 1
Alright, let's do this one last time
Episode 1
Grudge with Yanma
Given Racules' shocked reaction to Gira awakening God Kuwagata, we can assume he wasn't aware that Gira has Kuwagon's soul within him (it's been heavily hinted at, so we can safely assume it to be the case here until stated otherwise on the show), so it was a valid assumption that God Kuwagata would awaken when the 5 kings join forces, just like in the Legend of King-Ohger
Now we know that Yanma managed to fill Shugods and OhgerCaliburs with electronics, managing to establish connection between them which resulted in the latter serving a purpose of remote controlers for the former. He failed to establish such connection with God Kabuto and failed to have the God Kuwagata running. Given that no one by then knew that the reason for God Kuwagata's slumber is lack of his power source (the soul), the reason remained a mistery
Now, thanks to Yanma, all the other Shugods were running and other kings could transform and he didn't take part in a procedure that bore a possibility of awakening God Kuwagata. It's pretty easy to see how Racules could have perceived it as Yanma being the reason why he and his country left weaker against the threat of Bugnarok compared to other countries
On top of that we have glipses of their relationship that gives me salty ex-boyfriends vibes, where they used to work closely together but now they hold major grudge against each other (I wonder what happened between them? Hopefully we'll learn more about that)
Not joining the battle to defend Shugoddom
As mentioned in the paragraph above, Racules couldn't have transformed into KuwagataOhger nor could he use God Kuwagata to help, because Kuwagon was still unable to move and only Gira (as he is the one who possesses Kuwagon's soul) could have awakened Kuwagon. As we know from Racules' special which took place between episodes 2 and 3, King-Ohger ZERO also wasn't operational by the time of episode 1
Despite that (and despite what Rita's manga wants us to think), he still dispatched Shugoddom's army to help fight the Sanagim. Without the powers, he would be no better than a random soldier and as a king, he is needed to remain safe to be able to fullfill duties that, unlike fighting, can't be fullfilled by anyone else
Racules' death would result in a vaccum of power on the possition of Shugoddom's king, which would most likely result in in-fighting for this possition or be taken by someone from the close surroundings of the late king, like Douga or Boshimar (friendly reminder that this is Kamejim, though no one, including Racules, knew that back then, so we can't count it into his reasoning at the time). Sure, they may be aware of king's duties and be able to fullfill them, but they still lack the experience and the presence of Racules, who's been doing it for years. After all, it's part of king's duty to maintain people's morale with their charisma and as we know, Racules is an expert with PR, which may not be necessarily true for Douga or Boshimar. Plus, death of Racules would definitely diminish the morale of the whole population. Also, seeing how all the other kings can transform while yours cannot, would be another major blow to morale of people of Shugoddom
During a time of Bugnarok invasion, we can't allow ourselves for creating more turmoils within the nation. But that's not all. Racules is the only one that would be able to operate King-Ohger ZERO once its development would have completed, as well as he is the only one aware of the threat from the space, looming over the whole planet. Since by then we aren't aware of Gira and his powers, summoning of God Kuwagata or God Kuwagata ZERO to form King-Ohger as well as preparing for inevitable advent of Dugded, it all lies on Racules' shoulders and thus he can't die, not yet. He's still needed and has so much responsibilities to get hold of
"People are tools, I am the country"
To do their job, soldiers need their weapons to fight and protect. Builders need hammers, measures and so on. Farmers need plows, hoes, scythes etc. Each occupation has different set of tasks and they have specific sets of tools that allow them to do their job. King's job is to rule the country, to organise, make decisions and ensure that people have everything they need to live. Of course, he can't do everything in the country by himself - that's what the people themselves are for. Only reason why rulers have the power is because the people under them give it to them. King without his subjects is no one and he can't do anything, or rather not much and not very effectively, much like a soldier, a builder or a farmer who try to do their job bare-handed
Also, when a king it killed, his country falls into shambles, just look what happened when Kaguragi stripped Racules of his power in episode 18. Shugoddom fell into hands of Bugnarok, just like that. Also, since it's the king who makes decisions for the country both in terms of internal as well as external politics, every weakness can be exploited against the country they're ruling. A ruler coordinates what people should do so their joined efforts result in benefit for this country
He can't just do things because it would feel good at the very speciffic moment for those few people, he needs to think on the macro scale of things, taking into consideration all the potential consequences that his decisions will have on the whole nation and on the future. That's why the ruler can't just do what he likes, he needs to do what is necessary for the country even if he personally doesn't like it much (Here, look at episode 28, where kings swap bodies and they rule each other's countries the way they like it, without putting much thought into potential consequences of their actions)
King can't let his personally feelings get in the way of the wellbeing of the whole country he's ruling. He can't show his weaknesses or they may become weaknesses of the whole country. The whole country relies on him and thus he can feel the responsibility of all his decisions on his shoulders. A single human shouldn't be tasked with ruling so much all by himself, thus a king needs to transcend the human limitations. King is merely a vessel through which the will of the whole nation is expressed. King himself is merely a tool serving something bigger than himself or anyone else - his nation
And so, during Bugnarok invasion, Racules dispatched his soldiers to help defend the country and its people, while he himself remained in the castle, awaiting a moment where he'll be more useful (ZERO's activation, arrival of Dugded) (compare with episode 23, where Gira sits through the battle in the castle, because he's the only one who'll be able to activate it once it's finally fixed)

Future Jobs at the Japanese Institute of Electronic Symbiotes
Digimon Survive Week
Day 3 Partners
Just a self indulgent Ryo/Shuuji thing because I didn't have access to the actual art I was gonna do for this day (it was about Haru). I whipped this out on Day 3 but had to rework some lines coz I couldn't get my thoughts out right.
Ryo & Kunemon
Cohabitation Division - Medical
Children's Nurse
This just kinda hit me out of nowhere after writing a scene involving Saki telling him he doesn't have to stay if the hospital makes him uncomfortable.
Despite risking being retraumatised, he stays in the hospital for Saki's surgery. He kinda forgets that at her age, she would still get admitted at the children's ward but he finds that he doesn't mind helping cheer up Saki and all the other kids at the hospital. With Kunemon's help he begins to reframe the trauma surrounding his mother. How he was helpless to say or do anything, even just to see her as the adults always pushed him away. This time, he has a sense of control that he was never given as a child, allowing himself to speak up when he needs to. Mama told him to be strong and while he might never stop being afraid, he was strong for Saki and that's what matters.
When the institute opens up, he gets recruited along with the other kids but the certified researchers don’t know what to do with this 'scary looking kid' and his 'scary looking bug' and dump them on clean up duty and coffee runs. It sucks, and the researchers look down on him and Kunemon but they don't mind as long as they're able to help. (The other kids throw a fit, Labramon writes a letter of complaint, someone almost gets fired. The scientific community find out the hard way that Ryo and Kunemon are part of the team dammit). They end up job hopping around the institute because they're actually useful to everyone.
He studies to become a nurse and starts volunteering at the medical section of the institute, helping people who have difficulties communicating with their partners (and others). He and Kunemon become prime examples to follow and it gives the kids hope that they can be as close to their partners as these two. He especially works with kids who end up in the children's ward. He takes care of them before, during and after they have to meet with the doctors. Mainly, he works as a nurse so he can be closer to the patients and their families and treat them how he wanted to be treated. The two are fan favourites at the institute.
Shuuji & Lopmon
Psychiatric Division - Rehabilitation
Teacher
I think the game suggests two career paths for him but getting affinity for saying he looks like a teacher just struck me. Also I cant remember what the other one is, but his reaction wasn't as cute.
He hasn't fully figured out who he wants to be even a whole year after coming back; he just knows he no longer wants to be like his dad. He takes his time just being a teenager who's no longer interested in pretending he has his sh*t together. Instead, he spends most of his time either teaching Lopmon about the ins and outs of the human world or sharing his research findings with him and getting his opinions before sharing with the Prof. He's full of doubt about his choices but he tells his dad he wants to be a teacher. No, not a university professor. A teacher. His dad doesn't approve of course since "taking care of brats is a woman's job". Despite the opposition and getting disowned (again), he takes a career path into education.
When the institute opens, he's one of the first to be recruited to the head research team under Professor Minase. He transfers Aoi from a separate research team into theirs - for one thing, to try to get her as a lead informer. And for another, he's still weary of adults and strangers who's not the professor (and so is she to be honest). They eventually start working with younger children and helping them connect with and understand their partners, leading Aoi to create the cohabitation division. Lopmon helps out by making the kids feel more at ease about Kemonogami but oftentimes, finding out their partners are the other half of their soul does not make it easier.
Shuuji would sometimes give extra lessons when the kids get curious and it starts an impromptu class on human-kemonogami lore which then becomes an officially recognised class. He goes on to focus on the education and rehabilitation of traumatized children looking to make connections with their partner but unable to due to previous traumas. Sometimes in class, Lopmon would ask questions to encourage the kids who are too shy, scared or embarrassed to ask. Shuuji doesn't teach most adults due to personal reasons. (He once lost control and attacked one of the parents for boasting how they use their adult level kemonogami to punish and threaten their partnerless child).
Their jobs aren't easy and it's a struggle not to come home some nights and cry (in each other's arms). But they do it for the kids who are just like them and for the kemono partners who love their fated children without prejudice.
Honestly... I just wanted to draw this bit but couldn't sketch it out so I tried to put it into words instead.
Not mentioned: Shuuji works under the Psychiatric Division which includes rehabilitation and reintroduction to general society.
They work in the same building and the kids start shipping the homeroom teacher w the school nurse 😆
Ryo, Saki and Aoi work under the Cohabitation Division which includes medical and whatever the heck that thing with Aoi was at the end of Harmony.
Obviously I don't know how irl institutes work but fictional institutes are fair game right?
