Oh man, oh man, top 5? If it's a Gintoki ship I'm basically in regardless of pairing unless its [redacted] lolol but here's a list of faves,

I ranked them in order of which fic I'd open first if it had this ship tagged, vs how easy and enjoyable I'd find it to write.

I did debate about #5 and really if it came down to UtsuGin vs OT3s (GinHijiZura, SakaGinZura). I'd probably read/write the UtsuGin first just because it's simpler and there's a very specific dynamic within the OT3s (or even an OT4 if we wanna throw everyone in there) that I enjoy which is a little complicated.

But also... I don't really sort my fics via ship and usually I struggle to PICK a ship when I'm writing (if I even remember to make it shipped and then usually I end up picking Hijikata for simplicity reasons) because it's less about the pairing and more about the trope for me. Like if Gintoki isn't in that / pairing or isnt the first character listed then I'm not opening the fic. But sometimes I don't even read the tags I just open it if Gintoki's involved (typical, have gotten into some trouble doing this, InfiniteInMystery does not advise not reading tags before opening things in any fandom).

To add on your dancing/performing analysis list, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on yeonjun from txt. You previously spoke about txt as a whole a couple of times, and it made me think more about him, bc he's usually hailed as the best 4th gen dancer (which, kind of rude since Hwanwoong is right here, but also understandable, since the more an idol gets popular, the more their fans will swear that this idol's the best at doing X, and people who don't know any better will accept it at face value.) I find him satisfying to watch because his moves seem clean, but at the same time I don't find him interesting/entertaining and I can't pinpoint why? Maybe he's just another case of idol dancers who are good at mimicking choreography rather than embodying it? I'd like to have your opinion if you're not tired of talking about txt despite not being interested in them 😭😂

yeonjun doesn't really have a personality, that's why. technically he's very good, but he's not bringing much to the table other than 'boy', if you know what i mean. personally i do also think he's not super great at embodying choreo, but tbh the lack of personality in performance is a much bigger issue, and it's not just him that has this problem. most of the popular fourth gen male dancers are guilty of this; yeonjun, lee know, hyunjin, juyeon, even wooyoung and yunho have it to some extent as well. and i should point out that it's not just exclusive to kpop dancers - although it is significantly more prominent of an issue because of the focus on the face - but it happens amongst regular dancers too. it's pretty common for dancers to have very good technical skills but struggle to express emotion or character with their performances, and the best dancers are the ones that can do both. there's circumstances in dance where it's less of an issue, but in a performance form like kpop where the focus is so forward on the face and character of the idol, it's impossible to hide that lack. it's the reason why san, seonghwa, and hongjoong can put out much more captivating performances despite having worse technique, because they're playing to their specific strengths and they know exactly what you need in order to make a good performance in this specific form.

This one is a very sweet slice of life EG Sunset x Scitwi one, its got a lovely interpretation of the characters; With the expected but very welcome pairing of cool punk girl and adorable nerd. and i plan on doing fanart of it! The writer knows her stuff nyeheh =v= This is the best "Rarity and Applejack get drunk together and mushy stuff happens" Fic i seen out there, a trope that is surprisingly recurring, ive seen others like this! But this one is the best, hands down. A mutual of mine wrote it and its just a wonderful time! This one is a super fun horror esque rarijack fic where rarity is haunted and applejack tries to help her. its got fantastic prose and its just damn lovely! I've done fanart of it before, its a sweet one, and its also just a really interesting direction to take Rarity's character that i'm almost sad to not see more of. Overpowered rarity whennnn Although i don't ship twilight and trixie, this fic of this pairing, that is still ongoing, is fucking hilarious. The comedy has wonderful timing, and the takes on the characters are endlessly entertaining

Finaly, i'd be amiss to not recommend the fics i've written myself; Here are my two biggest and most awesomest i've done: The Return of Midnight Sparkle Is a take on MLP where there is no EG universe, and rather, Sunset Shimmer is brought to the mane 6 per twilight's request, and she absolutely does not feel like she belongs, and its a narrative about her desperate attempts of fitting in; and dealing with the fallout of her failings. I put an inordinate amount of effort on this one, even drawing covers for each chapter. I went DERRANGED with the idea of "what if sunset shimmer was on FIM and also it was gay as fuck." i basicaly wrote an entire season of the show and its finale. If you're a fan of Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle as a pairing, cannot recommend enough. Here's some of the art i made for it. Insanely sick chapter covers im super proud of The Princess and the Peasant is an all you can eat buffet for Rarijack enjoyers, I've taken the baseline of the story of "shrek 1" and i made it about Applejack and Rarity; And also expanded upon it and fixed some of the annoyances with the og story (No third act misunderstanding! On the contrary. Third act understanding. SEX.) The humble farmer Applejack has to rescue fair Princess Rarity from a dragon keep, and escort her across Equestria to ensure that her farm and family are safe. Of course, on the journey, those two grow a bit close... Too close. VEry very very veyr close. a rant by me becuz im sick of hearing people call him a demon.

people (specifically my parents and a few friends) call red a demon. but im here to prove to you!!! he is not!!!!!! a demon!!!!!!!!!!!!

first of all, his appearance. this one should be obvious. he. is. SMALL. im talking MAYBE kat or ana's height. i doubt hed be any taller than lulu, if he really was a little taller. and wouldnt a demon look more lopsided and/or deranged? he looks mischievous, but you can tell he wouldnt deliberately try to hurt or kill people. and dont get me wrong i love red, but those little wings can only carry him so far. plus, a demon would look more menacing than the cutesy and friendly look that red has.

that leads to my next point—his personality. if he were a demon, he would be way more open to hurting people. yet as far as i can remember, the worst hes ever done is in touched when he tries to capture orbulon for ashley. he didnt even do it for himself, he did it for the cold witch who is his best friend. if he were really a demon, half the cast could be dead by now. and i think we all know the team behind warioware wouldnt do that. imps are usually associated with tricks and being troublemakers, but arent going out of their way to kill people. plus the warioware team would want to make likable characters, and a straight up bloody demon wouldnt do.

for those who are thinking, "but what about his character screen in get it together? hes described as a demon!" in other games and across multiple sources hes described as a "shapeshifting imp". with how warioware is almost constantly changing, id say it was probably someone different than usual who wrote the character screens, at least reds. its clear that more often than not hes described as an imp rather than demon.

if red were a demon, i think he and ashley wouldnt be on good terms. i think hed probably be trying to hurt ashley, and be much less obedient than he currently is. plus, he would be braver. hes outright described as a "scaredy-cat", so thats not very demon-like off the bat. and he works very well with ashley, always doing as she asks. hes also constantly around ashley, showing his loyalty to her. would a demon be that considerate and obedient? probably not.

my final point? look at that little face. does he really look like he could do wrong?

okay here's my final horizons review that nobody asked for :) the short summary is an overall like 8/10 personally with high highs and low lows to average it all out there, but like . god those highs are high

speaking of i played on hard mode for the entire thing and did not change it a single time so this also influences my perception but like im a loser tryhard sweaty gamer so that probably just added to the positives for me ngl JGKLASDFJL;KS okay anyways

amy gameplay 8/10, tails gameplay 8/10, knuckles gameplay 6/10

i am SO FUCKING SERIOUS WHEN I SAY KNUCKLES WOULD BE LIKE 9/10 IF HE HAD FREE CLIMBING AND WASN'T LIMITED TO THE RED SPOTS like it makes sense in this scenario since he's literally free dlc and like the game wasn't really made with knuckles in mind therefore if he was given free range to climb and shit like SA2 it might be weird or just lead to things you super weren't intended to do etc. BUT like. im just saying. in a perfect world he would be able to climb on all surfaces and that would be more than enough for me to forgive his glide's super wide turns (i already forgive it because it makes sense it's just like. from a player feel perspective)

i can't forgive some of those awful camera angles though it's the same issue i have with sonic when he wall climbs, wall climbing just has bad camera angles that i greatly dislike u__u also i think i was most looking forward to playing as knuckles so i was just kinda disappointed he isn't more punchy i want PUNCHY

amy was super fun to play and would've been a 9 but i am in fact a hammer believer, i know they like at least bring it up in game why she doesn't hammer more but i AM a hammer enjoyer and i think if she had more swingy hammer movesets it would be like. chef's kiss i love her floatiness and tarot cards

tails is tails he's so broken LMAOOOO and the wrench attack shit is genuinely really good and so funny, his entire thing fits perfectly with the fact that he's like, not really a Fighter fighter guy and matches with previous tails gameplay .... but i do still want a homing attack for specifically objects not enemies or something. idk that'd be hard to handle sometimes but that's my single grievance i thought tails was really good he's so cute :)

in general i wish all 3 had more combat options but again. it's free dlc. in the future if they do like sonic adventure 3 or whatever then i'll be more harsh for not having more moves for them like sonic but this is free dlc

sonic gameplay 8.5/10

i'm crazy and i thought the towers were a lot of fun, my favorite WOULD'VE BEEN tower 2 except the pink squares not respawning is genuinely like girl what's wrong with you + tower 5 eked out being my favorite anyways in the end

my favorites in order were 5, 2, 4, 1, and 3 (3 was by far the easiest but also like . i am so not into the wall climbing camera JGKALSDJFKLASDJ and also i had the funny glitch where the boostpad clipped me out of the tower which like, funny but now i have to climb the tower again) i thought these were super fun platforming challenges with the only grievance being they're literally WAY more difficult than anything from base game and so the sudden jump is like actually insane expecting little timmy to play frontiers on like hard mode which is very easy, and then doing this

the combat trials were disappointing bc like. .. the first one had some difficulty to it and then the rest were snzzzz and then suddenly MASTER KING KOCO BABYYYYY but again im insane. and deranged. i thought a time/ring limit boss rush was sick as fuck and perfect parry is what i wished the actual base game parry was so like. yeah. but again the boss fights weren't Made for perfect parry so especially wyvern, figuring out was like harder than necessary since this is something they throw at you with no warning or prior practice in the base game or anything

i had fun though. i had gamer fun and joy. so like <- sick in the head i just felt the thrill of battle and violence and any time i figured out the parry timing/got consistent with it and i was like being the ultimate speedrun gamer it's like. YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also kellin quinn's vocals carried me because god the music never gets old dude that shit pumped me up (helps i only had to fight knight twice and the problem child was just wyvern lol)

AND THE FINAL BOSS .... supreme still lowkey is a very very very very mid boss. and the new THE END doesn't change it a Ton because like after you see the sickass cutscene and stuff, it becomes kind of a mid boss again but with really hype animations and all .... like it's not a hard fight. it's just ... jank .... the controls feel kinda wonky when you're trying to target the tube .... the camera is weird because it's so easy for sonic to not be visible from all the trees, so while parrying the meteors isn't hard it's just like ... why would you do this to me

final boss fight itself is like 7/10 carried by the visuals and setting, but then the end of the boss fight is like WHOOOOOOOOOOO FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH LETS GOOOOO I FUCKING LOVE SONIC THE HEDGEHOG YYEAHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHH so like overall good dlc imo

Honestly wish there were movies like this made now so we could use the new movie/film tech we have for special and practical effects like the neck twisting all the way around and the bodies falling apart at the end! Honestly Helen and Madeline are toxic yuri and I support them

✰ Set Desgine: 5/5 LISLE'S HOUSE FUCKS SEVERELY oh my gods practically drolling over the big sets with details and ough, i feel sick its so awesome

✰ Special Effects: 4/5 the effects in this movie had me floored. They were so cute and funny and oh my gods just so silly. Sometimes a little tacky (madeline falling down the stairs) but other times there were too noch (the hands going from old to young) and that's not even taking into consideration the neck breaking and such. They might not have been the best quality compared to some other movies but they made me laugh and felt perfect in the movie to me. <3

✰ Costuming: 5/5 that red/pink dress Helen wore was fantastic, absolutely stunning (god i'm a fashion nerd too aggghhhhh) BUT LISLE. oh lisle. if i was attracted to women i would want to kiss her so so so bad. i do want to kiss her. not even kiss maybe just sit at her side those OUTFITS DARLING wow. also her vibes matched so well and wonderful, once again, fucks severely.

✰ Sound Desgine: 4/5 i didn't have to use subtitles :3 sometimes the effects of thunder or lighting made certain lines a little hard to hear but hats a personal thing cause im autistic and struggle with words and such, but it wasn't the whole movie and the audio mixing was pretty damn good!!
