i just remembered that i can in fact post Old Art so here is an album cover project from last semester
Details below!
This was the second project of my Illustration Intensive I class last semester, and we had to either design or redesign an album cover, so I chose The Mechanisms
During the project I took a 4-hour detour trying to translate the Red Signal chant into norse runes, aka I threw it through a translator and tried (emphasis on tried) via wikipedia to fix any Weirdness despite knowing next to nothing about runes so its probably. Incredibly wrong lol

The fandom would be so much better if everyone realized that Batman's kids are just like that. None of them are normal! This is what they were doing before/directly after meeting Bruce:
Dick wanted to kill Anthony Zucco and avenge he parents death.
Jason uncovered a crime front in the troubled youth school he was sent to.
Tim stalked Batman, Nightwing AND the Teen Titans.
Stephanie created a whole vigilante persona to mess with her dad.
Damian and Cass are trained assassin children that can get anywhere.
Duke joined and lead the 'we are Robin movement' along with being a vigilante before he was Signal.
Bruce doesn't control them, he has tried to stop them, they don't listen. They aren't vigilantes because Bruce forced them to, I'm pretty sure they would have done that without his help, they're chaos incarnate!

Damian Wayne stuck in a time loop.
It resets when someone dies, and since Damian is the youngest, it doesn’t matter how rocky his relationship is with the bat-siblings, each and everyone one of them sacrifices themselves for him.
And Damian is pissed off because he doesn’t understand why.
Grayson is obvious, he has made it clear that he feels affection for Damian and has made the most effort into integrating him into the family. Of course he would die for his little brother. And at first, Damian believes he finds this outcome to be the least acceptable.
There is also his Father, again, a logical expression of love. Damian can understand why his Father would die for him, even if he doesn’t want him to. Even if, in the first few loops, he wishes that anyone else would die instead. At least it’s a type of parental relationship he can understand in the abstract, even if it surprises him to see its true about himself. That even though he has several older brothers and is unsure of his place by his Father’s side, the man would do anything to protect him. It reminds him of his Mother, even though he’s sure if she were here she’d find a way for the both of them to live.
Brown is the first one to surprise him. They had worked together when Grayson was Batman and he recognized her competence, but he thought that’s all it was. A working relationship between professionals. A mutal, if grudging respect. He is shocked when she dies, how he had no clue she would go that far for him. How he refuses to let it happen again.
If Brown was a surprise, Cain was a shock. Damian thought of her as nigh invincible, unable to be touched. It was clear she was the best of all of them, that she had seen the hit miles ahead of him, had maybe even seen him brace for it. But she had chosen to let herself go down. He feels every bit his age as he begins to wonder if he’s even more powerless to stop this than he thought if his most competent sister chose to let herself fall.
Thomas was confusing. He was new, newer than Damian and not quite sure of himself. They rarely saw each other aside from school due to the mismatch in schedules. Thomas gave him a wide berth, respecting Damian’s space in a way his other siblings failed to do or intentionally disregarded. Damian didn’t think much of him. Couldn’t understand how Thomas hadn’t even paused, had taken the hit as if it was an unquestionable law of the universe. As if they were really brothers and not strangers. It was a sentiment Damian didn’t know how to return.
Todd was the worst. He had seen him, briefly, before he had come to Gotham from the league. His Mother spoke of him rarely, but with pride. He was skilled, if untamed. He avoided the manor and his brothers and their Father. The only one he usually sought was Pennyworth. That is why Todd was the worst. Because he avoided all of them. Because this family had already allowed him to die before and he had come back wrong. A painful reminder that their family has failed. And he fought so hard to remind them all of that failure, every way he chose to keep fighting to live, to prioritize his own life over their Father’s morality. Only to throw it away for Damian. To force him to watch how his brother’s second death shattered their Father and Pennyworth and Grayson in a way that Damian didn’t think they’d survive a second time.
Drake is incomprehensible. Antithetical. A cosmic error. Impossible. There is no love between them, no grudging respect, nothing. Damian can’t stand to look at the person who he feels is a disgrace to the costume Damian now wears. He is the one who dies for Damian the most. The one he can’t possibly understand. The brother he has the least time to question, who gives him the least answers as to his motivations. Who will both die for Damian and refuse to utter a word to him in the same loop. It is madness. Damian needs to prove himself above this embarrassment, and yet Drake chooses to be beneath him. To die for him. It is in spite of Damian’s skill that Drake dies, and Damian hates him for it.

Wrong Ticket
Danny bought a plane ticket to travel to Goshen, Indiana to visit his father's family. Apparently his aunt was very excited to meet him, and Jazz was excited to send him away from the lab after his accident.
She was worried that she would have to spend a few days scouting colleges, and Danny would be left home unguarded (she wouldn't make that mistake twice, her parents didn't count as good guards and Danny would be too bored since he was on school holidays), so the invitation from their uncles was like a miracle fallen from heaven.
Unfortunately for Danny, his family didn't check the ticket after purchasing it, and therefore they didn't notice the error where "Goshen, Indiana" was changed to "Gotham, New Jersey," so when the airline called his flight, Danny didn't notice his destination. He practically fell asleep a few seconds after entering the plane.
Danny wished he had been paying attention when a few hours later he found himself stranded on the streets of Gotham with nothing but his luggage and a little money. Though that last seemed more of a risk than a benefit if he took into account the way they watched him as he passed.
As if that wasn't enough, it seemed that something strange was starting to happen to him, there were moments where his backpack would slip from his grip, almost as if he was walking through it, and others where he felt invisible. This did not go unnoticed by the denizens of Gotham, who were assessing him with clear interest.
Red Hood, who had noticed the guy (possibly meta) stumbling into his territory, sighed and offered him a temporary place to stay. Danny, who just met the strange guy in the red helmet, was relieved to have temporary lodging, though he would probably look for another place the next day. Just in case.

Maybe Franziska and Edgeworth just get blood from foods with blood in them like meats. Or they just eat a lot of iron.
Tumblr media
I’m sticking with the trend of Adventure Time vamp lore and saying that they can drink the colour red for food, although blood is more filling (which they could get from animals or perhaps there’s artificial blood too)
When Franziska and Miles were kids, she would sometimes be a little punk and drain his clothes of colour to mess with him
I’ve been cracking up at the discussion that erupted surrounding vampire lore on my blog, in the replies, the reblog tags, and in my inbox
It’s so funny to me but also it’s like 😨😨😨 I don’t know THAT much about vampires-

I feel like this is how Cullen wanting to be trained under Alfred would go over with the batfamily:
Cullen: Hey guys, I need to tell you something.
Tim: Cullen we already know you're gay and we're fully supportive.
Cullen: Uh, thanks but this isn't about that, I want to more useful in the batfamily.
Jason: Oh no, please tell me you're not going to become a vigilante, we have enough of those as is.
Duke: Cullen's going to become a vigilante?! Since when?!
Harper: No no no, this cannot be happening, my baby brother is not going down that road!
Cullen: Guys! I'm not going to become a vigilante! I want to stay back at the manor and help Alfred!
Jason: Wait, if I'm hearing this right, you want to help Alfred?
Cullen: Yes, I've seen the amount of work that he does just so that you guys can all focus on cases and missions. So I want to take some of the load off of him.
Alfred: My dear boy, I appreciate you wanting to help me but this is a lot, are certain?
Cullen: Yes.
Jason: whistles
Jason: It's one thing to be trained by Batman, but another thing entirely to be trained by Alfred.
Steph: snorts
Steph: Good luck with that.
Damian: I admire you Row 2, to volunteer to take on an immense burden, unlike the rest of these ingrates.
Cullen: Uh, why is everyone acting like this?
Alfred: sighs
Alfred: You'll figure out soon enough my lad.

Hey. Fanfic writers. (DC writers too, we know y’all get half your information from the internet)
Ace is younger than Bart. He’s a child. He’s a black boy, not a man. Duke is younger than Tim. He’s a child. He’s a black boy, not a man.
This is important because of how many black children are killed with the justification being that their murderers thought they were adults.

I'm writing an essay about Batman, the batfam, and their similarities to cults, if you even care...
But seriously, it's like 4 pages so far and I only got through behavior in the BITE Model, soooo
Please give me examples of any toxic or manipulative or just down right ick Batman (or Batman in general, that can tie in too) behavior, with proof preferably. I know there's a lot of it, and so do you.
