oh good, I was afraid that wasn't going to read properly and people would just be like "what is this supposed to be". :') but yeah! I like to think Eric was pretty fond of Neige as a kid! single dad sees orphan child approximately the same age as his own son and goes "hmm. okay, you guys are going to be friends now." (this did not go as well as he'd hoped.)

(also I do love how it's kind of a running joke that everyone loves Neige except for Vil, who's standing over in the corner and just seething with furious irrational hatred. someday maybe he'll find someone who doesn't think Neige is the best thing since cinnamon rolls.)

I’m just gonna say this, the main reason people don’t like Damian Wayne as a character is the same reason people didn’t like Jason Todd back in the 80s

People don’t like either of them because their favorite Robin (Tim Drake and Dick Grayson) got replaced by them.

Damian and Jason are both really interesting and complex character, objectively more complex than both Tim and Dick, but some people (cough, obnoxious Tim fans, cough, and Dick fans who over sexualize him, cough) don’t see that and just want their little blorbos to never grow into their own character apart from Batman.

Thinking about how Diavolo’s feelings transcend time and how in the Nightbringer UR+ card Demon Lord’s Castle Tour this conversation happens.

When asked, “Do you wish to see your father?”

Diavolo responds:

“I suppose I do . . .” isn’t the typical reaction to how a child would feel about wanting to see their parent. Especially when said parent has essentially been in a coma for a year.

Along with how Diavolo describe his father.

It makes more sense why when you learn in Lesson 56 how Diavolo was treated by him growing up.

Diavolo can tell when others are lying but is unable to understand his father’s intentions.

Diavolo mentions that he lived a very sheltered life growing up. That from a young age his father never allowed him a chance to talk to anyone outside the castle.

His childhood friend was Mephistopheles. A demon literally RAISED to be his friend. Putting a barrier between the two because Mephistopheles would put Diavolo on a pedestal.

The isolating childhood he experienced riddled with his strict father constantly scolding him.

Despite everything MC is so important to him he wants to see his father again so we can meet.

#Demons and Humans can’t get married even in the present so it adds an extra layer him wanting to introduce us. #There’s a lot more you could add onto this (please do I’d love to hear other’s thoughts). #Like how Diavolo’s childhood affected him just look at the way he describes himself: #“The truth is I am a child in a way. A child who spends his time alone and never gets to do anything interesting.” #A lot of Diavolo’s poor behavior while not excused comes from his childhood. #How Diavolo admits to using his position to force others to do what he wants. if so tho.... I genuinely love how if Sanji awakens conquerors haki, that it's gonna be like... a plot point. made obvious. but Zoro used his on punk hazard and then again in dressrosa and it's never even focused on and tbh I think it went over a lot of fans heads too, and then he uses it on onigashima and kaido acknowledges it out loud and zoros like idk wtf u mean and that's as much as we get. I love how Zoro is written like that. like you really gotta watch him or else all his development and progress and individuality etc goes straight over your head. Zoro observes everyone and he's so emotionally intelligent and so aware of changes in ppl... you gotta be like that too, to rlly see Zoro.

He's walking around in awe, like, whoa, is that a hand-painted celestial map on the ceiling? Gods, Vlad's so talented. I bet there's nothing he can't do. Oh, a pianoforte! He's musical! Wow, look at all these books. He's so smart. I love how smart he is. I want to fuck his brains out. Oh! Look! A telescope!

You were sitting on Jennifer's pink bed, watching as she twirled in the mirror. She curled her hair and was admiring her new look.

"I could be on the runway for Victoria's Secret, like one of those angel chicks" she said posing.

"Tell me something I don't know" you laugh, and she laughs with you.

The music continued to play filling the otherwise now silent air.

You stared at her, how her body had curves and seemingly in the right places, her nails pristinely manicured and polished. Her healthy hair flowing with a smile so vibrant. She was confident. She was perfect. She was pretty.

"God, I wish I was pretty like you."

She pauses her movements and turns to you before saying, "What? You are, like, crazy fucking pretty, (Y/n/n), what are you talking about?"

"Ugh, you're just saying that because you're my girlfriend" you say playfully tossing a pillow at her.

She caught the pillow before scoffing and tossing it back.

"(Y/n/n), you know I wouldn't say things to you if I didn't mean it, Babe. C'mere." She grabs you by the hand and leads you to the mirror standing beside but a little behind you.

"Your eyes are one of the first things I noticed when I first met you, how unique and pretty they were...especially when they were on me"

You playfully roll your eyes and start to smile.

''And your hairr," she plays with your hair before going on "you pull it off so well you look extra salty". She grins on 'well' and then looks at you directly.

"You know how many people would absolutely kill to have your body?"

You raise your eyebrows and say, "That weird band who got arrested for attempted murder comes to mind."

"Yeah, well, for you, I'd kill those wannabe Green Day rejects."

She hugs you from behind and puts her head on your shoulder before calling you her new nickname for you, "Pretty".
