Original Sin Review

YO! Here's what I thought of Original Sin, past Monday's episode. It's a little late because I had to RECOVER FROM IT and just rewatch it a few times and enjoy it.

There's things I liked of course and some things I didn't like so let's dive in shall we!

Things I liked:

- Malec! These Malec scenes we got in 3x12 were so, so SO important and refreshing to see. From their morning scene in the loft, to the training scene, to them surrendering to their feelings and having sex in the institute and the after glow scene to their exploring scene. All of it was so important and well acted out. I am.in love with their love and seeing them so playful and teasing with each other but also flirty is so refreshing, I can keep repeating it. Also them having sex in a place where Alec in the beginning of their relationship was shy to be seen with him (2x05) to him being so confident in himself to take his boyfriend to his room. It's so important to see a healthy m/m relationship having sex but my all time favorite scene has got to be after Alec told Magnus to slow down and try to live more in the here and now. Matt and Harry were wonderful this episode and they're really growing along with Alec, Magnus and the Malec relationship.

- Jonathan is SUCH an interesting character to me and I love how Luke portrays him. I am really invested in him as the villian and hope it just gets better throughout the season.

- Sizzy! I think Simon and Izzy going on the hunt for Cain together had some really sweet moments, to them going to the seelie court. They are an adorable duo and they really care for each other. I hope we see more of them like this before they dive in a relationship.

Things I didn't like:

- The Clace reunion. Now before everyone comes at me, let me explain. The directions that were giving for this scene was SO WEIRD. Also the fact that Isaiah and Matt were edited in made the scene look even more weird. It didn't do anything good. Also... for a reunion after thinking your girlfriend might've been dead I found it kinda... emotionless? It was sweet but it didn't really make me feel anything else.

- Simon drinking Izzy's blood; I see what they were trying to do here but still... It made me cringe a bit. When Izzy cut her hand and let the blood drip in Simon's mouth I didn't have a problem with it because that way she wouldn't get any venom. I know Simon was super selfless and didn't want to bite her and that even in the sneak peek of 3x13 felt super guilty, I don't blame him at all nor do I blame Izzy. I do, however, blame the writers for coming up with this. It made me a little uncomfortable is all.

- So... that Saia scene at the end of 3x11 WAS a break up??? I am so confused.

The dark look in Alec’s eyes was all the warning Magnus got before he was pushed up against the wooden column behind him and being kissed like his life depended on it.

A smutty expansion to the training scene between Magnus and Alec during the episode 'Original Sin' because it was just too delicious to pass by and I need to practise writing smut somehow... ;)

The dark look in Alec’s eyes was all the warning Magnus got before he was pushed up against the wooden column behind him and being kissed like his life depended on it.

The spark of lust that had been present during their sparring grew into an inferno as Alec’s mouth met his, their tongues clashing as they fought a different type of battle. The heat of Alec’s mouth and the hard muscle of his body pressing against him was intoxicating and Magnus couldn’t get enough of it, arching into the feeling as he pulled Alec impossibly closer with a tight knuckled grip on the back of his t-shirt.

As the kiss deepened Magnus’ hands started to wander, tugging at the clothing that was hiding the masterpiece of Alec’s body. “Bedroom, now.” He ordered and Magnus shivered at the commanding tone, eagerly following his shadowhunter out of the training room, enjoying the view he would soon be seeing naked.

“You have provided quite a distraction, my dear.” Magnus pointedly looked over the naked flesh on display, paying particular attention to the trail of hair that lead down to what was most assuredly Alec’s rather impressive erection.

“I want them off.” Alec growled.

“Then why don’t you come over here and help me?” Magnus quipped, raising his eyebrows challengingly and letting out a laugh when Alec all but pounced on him in the haste to remove his clothing. His shirt was nearly ripped from his body, followed quickly by his pants and underwear that Alec pulled off in one go, discarding them messily to the floor.

“But you look so adorable when your jealous.” Magnus teased and Alec let out a growl, shifting until he was pinning Magnus down.

“There you see, adorable.” Magnus laughed when Alec’s nose wrinkled at being called ‘adorable’ but soon his mouth was being occupied in other, rather important activities and Magnus only had enough thought to wonder, not for the first time, how he had gotten so lucky.
