Seen a few posts where Superman thinks Danny is his clone.

But what if it was Dan instead of Danny?

Dan doesn't look exactly like Superman so the JL think that Batman and Supes DNA got mixed, the proof is in the matching scowl.

And Dan's like "Well, I've got nothing better to do, so why not? Lets mess with this guy."

The second Dan learns about Connor (and Supe's treatment of him.) it becomes personal.

Goes out of his way to ruin Superman's Day.

Looking awesome while saving the day? Nope, his cape gets wrapped around his head and then that picture gets into papers and every social media platform.

About to hand over thug? Mysterious farting noises.

and so, on so forth.

JL: So we just need some blood for a DNA test.

Dan:...Sure.

Later

Dan: Hey Clockwork you mind messing with some test results for me?

Clockwork: Already done.

dan is so funny the way he just… fully holds the belief that he lived with phil in 2010-2011. like in 2010 as he was filming in his dorm he spoke about the closest hospital to where “we live” as if he and phil lived at the same location. and fast forward to 2022 when phil is saying he lived alone in manchester and dan interjects with “but you did not live alone in manchester, [I was there]” like it’s the fact that he was over at phil’s apartment so often that he just views himself as having lived there? and then he’s just publicly volunteering that information to us??

Escaped clone au

You know all those fics where Danny and Damian are twins but everyone first assumes Danny must be a clone? How about an au where Danny is Damian's clone who escaped the League after he was assumed dead. Damian could even have been the one to have "killed" him, back when Danny was a newly created, fully brainwashed clone minion and trying to kill Damian himself.

Danny gets adopted by the Fentons and canon goes on as normal, until Dan. Witnessing what would happen to the world should he turn evil really drove home to Danny how dangerous he is.

Even if he was confident he could be trusted with his absurd amount of power (which he isn't), what if the League of Assassins found out about him? Does he still have programming triggers from his evil assassin clone conditioning?

So, Danny does the responsible thing: he goes to Batman to turn himself in.

Cue Danny showing up on Bruce's doorstep with ghost hunting equipment, intel on the afterlife, and an almost unbelievable backstory. Somehow he still managed to be more well-adjusted than Damian.

Here's how I'm thinking Danny leaving the League went down:

After surviving his wounds but failing his mission, Danny (then an unnamed potential Damian replacement) knew there was no point in returning to the League. As a failure, he was meant to be disposed of. He even thought of simply allowing himself to perish, since that was what the League would do.

But he couldn't help but feel as though that would be a waste of a resource. Surely he could be of more use to the League alive than dead?

That tiny bit of rebellious logic is what caused Danny to go into hiding, only living on based on the off chance he would find opportunities to further the League's goals. Obviously, that mentality didn't last long after being exposed to the real world and meeting one Jazz Fenton.

Being adopted by the Fentons was the best cover Danny could have asked for, since any odd behavior he couldn't hide while he was learning how to be "normal" was totally overshadowed by the sheer bizarre eccentricity of his new parents. He was still the neighborhood weird kid, but even that was a major upgrade from disposable tool, so Danny considered it a win.

i do want to expound on the absolutely groundbreaking levels of respect i have for terroramc adapting book irving (drowning in pussy fuckboy blond) into a cow-eyed brunet youth pastor telling sodomites to just. do watercolor instead. also the dress (!!!) and the homoerotic assisted suicide were and i cannot stress this enough a wholly original aspect of the show. truly inspired. they had a book written by a grown man beefing with greta thunberg, a cast of completely identical men, tobias menzies, and a dream.

You know what is fun? Baby Ghost Jason. You know what could be even more fun? Ghosts are Dragons.

Jason? Aware of none of this.

He was on comms, y’know listening and rolling his eyes at Dickwing, who used his real name, really Dick, he mocks. It’s just a stakeout, nothing new there, honestly boring when he could be blowing something up instead. It should have just been a stakeout.

Yet there’s something suddenly there, something behind him. Something that causes his hair to stand on end and his comms to spark into static like some sort of horror movie. Something, something with clawed hands with corpse-pale skin tipped in black, stained or dead or something else, tilting his head up and up and up as he’s frozen.

“A child, out here? Alone?” a voice crackles, hisses, hums, and purrs, somehow all at once, unnatural in its tone. He can’t move, he needs to move, he has to move, but it’s like the space around him has gone cold and dead, like he’s stuck in the Pits once more as claws hold his head and his vision blurs. “Sleep, child. Rest- we’ll be home soon.”
