Another thing that haunts me about this entire thing is that Amanda wasn’t just funny like her coworkers, or funny like other Disney and Nickelodeon actresses. Amanda Bynes was funny like Carol Burnett. Funny like Lucille Ball. She was effervescent and classic. Her comedic sensibilities were deeply intelligent. She had *it*. And she should have grown into one of the best actresses of our generation. But *something* happened and derailed it all. Even if she’s not the same, I truly hope she’s well and happy. I want nothing but the best for her, even if it’s a quiet and private life. I adored her back then and always will.

Listening to Drake Bells father, Joe, talk about how he just got bad vibes from Brian Peck and knew he was bad and was eyeing up his son just has me fucked up. Him saying he hasn’t been same since he found out what had happened to his son and him just breaking down into tears.

Drake not knowing how to explain or talk about what really happened in front of cameras. There was a moment there, where you can see alot of emotion is on his face, like he just is coming to reality that he is actually telling other people what happened.

The thing that bothers me abt posts about quiet on set is that I see a lot of “let’s kill dan schneider” and idk how to put this but that’s not the point quiet on set was making. The point was that this was systemic. And that a lot of people while not outright evil were complacent in what was going on or victims themselves. Remove Dan Schneider great. But what happens when another tv asshole comes in? Where are the laws and regulations to make sure that never happens again? We need to not just be angry for the victims but be wary.
