💗affection (how affectionate are they? how do they show affection?):

affection (in it's traditional sense) comes hard to zoro. he doesn't really know how to go about it to be very honest. to him affection is sarcasm and acts of services ("acts of service" include calling you mid in 5 languages (joke), making fun of your exercise form and the way you sometimes drool in your sleep, offering you sake etc.). but as time passes by and you both start getting more comfortable with each other, he gets on board with it. every time you both are spending time alone, he holds onto you one way or the other. don't expect him to call you sugarcakes or something because he won't but he will let you know before drifting off to sleep that you mean the world to him. i dont think hes a huge pda guy but if he's super drunk then he cannot possibly keep his hands off of you, its quite weird for the crew to see him so openly affectionate (cue sanji gagging).

💗best friend:

what would they be like as a best friend? how would the friendship start? he's lowkey the bestest of best friends. he has the energy of "idk what you're doing but ig do it anyways cause i know how to fight" an opinion on everything but he doesn't have the time or energy to say anything (between his sleeping and training). doesn't mean he's any less nonchalant, no, he's just super opinionated for some reason. so, when you're sitting next to him on the deck on those late nights, asking him absurd questions, best believe he will deliver peak (nonchalant) commentary. especially after the two years when he's back from living with perona!!! HE IS A CERTIFIED FASHION KING. "zoro," you nudge him and he hums in response, "i was thinking of getting nami that silver bracelet for her birthday, should i?" "i mean i wouldn't give that debt collecting witch anything but-" he winces lightly when you punch him in the arm, "-but. i think silver will look look washed out against his complexion. gold seems better" "you think?"

💗cuddles (do they like to cuddle? how would they cuddle?):

at the start, he thinks cuddles are lowkey dumb (and like he probably has gone years without them), so, he puts up this weird drama like "uh no i dont wanna do it" ofc he's lying. cause you're so soft and you smell so good and his hands are literally shaking trying not to hold you against him. after a while, he will unironically announce to you that he is the little spoon tonight and you need to suck it up. (lowkey gives the best cuddles because he literally envelopes you whole till you have to physically push him away) he wants to cuddle but you're DYING. YOU JUST KNOW YOU ARE. because this man is a heat radiating hot heating device heater. he is like a portable sauna. he needs to give you some space but he wont.

💗domestic (how are they at cooking and cleaning?):

cooking? cleaning? you should be grateful that he's showering everyday ever since you started dating him. he knows some basic cooking and cleaning skills (cause he did survive on his own for a good few years) but he doesn't know them in a socially acceptable manner. he just caught a fish, burnt it and ate it cause ✨proteins✨ okay? it's not like he does it on purpose, it's just that he's too focused on training and getting better and you have a chef so, he doesn't have to bother too much about it. but if you both were living together, then i think he will obviously learn them cause he doesn't want you to be the only responsible one cleaning after his messes. and he actually has kinda started liking cooking cause it's relaxing (he's also good at chopping up veggies and stuff so you both can cook together). the only part of cooking he hates is when sanji starts giving him tips cause like genuinely, sanji mind your own fucking business okay he'd learn pasta himself. tldr; the first time you teach him these things, he makes a mess and almost burns down your house but afterwards, you can rely on him to get the things done semi-nicely.

💗ending:

if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it? i think if zoro had to breakup with someone it will probably be over focusing on his dreams of being the best swordsman or if you cheated on him or broke his trust. i don't think he will pursue a relationship with someone if he didn't see it lasting, so, he won't break-up for petty reasons (nor do i think he will ever cheat). i also think he's a practical man. he won't try to sugarcoat or make you false promises. he sure as fuck won't tell you that you both can "still be friends" or some shit (i mean unless you're in the same crew then it kinda goes without saying). he'll probably ask you to come have a chat with him. sit you down and tell you directly and exactly why he is doing it. and he absolutely won't let you have any residual doubts if you "weren't enough" for him or so. just because he has to make this decision doesn't mean he doesn't love or respect you. so, even tho he won't ask you to be friends, if you ever need someone to rely on, he will be there for you. bottom line, he will still be a friend to you (though prepare to ignore each other for a long time after the breakup cause obviously it hurts and you might punch him)

💗fiance(e):

how do they feel about commitment? seeing as his character is super ride or die, he definitely doesn't have a problem recognizing how much you mean to him. but he is pretty emotionally constipated, so, he will take an eternity to actually accept how much you mean to him in a non-friendly manner. how quick would they want to get married? settling down??? no. he's not settling down. not until he's the best swordsman atleast. marriage is lowkey scary to him cause he didn't grow up with healthily functioning relationships to look upto but once he started dating you, he could see it potentially being a "forever" sort of a thing. he's probably not gonna say that out loud tho, thats a topic reserved only for wayward day-dreams or super drunken nights. so, as for the marriage thing he'd want to take his time. he would probably choose to achieve his own goals (and support you to reach yours) and then, think about settling down.

💗gentle (how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?):

physically: zoro is acutely aware of his super-human strength but it still comes as a shocker to him to see how fragile, almost dainty you are in compare to him. simple things like comparing hand sizes or how large his t-shirt looks on you when you wear it to sleep genuinely leave him awestruck (and slightly lovesick). so, he makes it his number one priority to always be gentle to you, as if he's scared that you're on the cusp of breaking. and he treats you as such always. (unless you ask with tear-lidden eyes and trembling lips how badly you want him to demolish you because then, maybe he is ready to comply) emotionally: like almost everything else, gentle words come hard to him at the start. all he has known is tough love. so, understanding that making fun of you when you're having your weekly breakdown was the wrong choice took him a while. he's not like emotionally stunted but he still doesn't trust his choice of words to comfort you. rather, he lets the way he holds you against him and pets your head when you sob against his chest do the talking. but if you go out of your way to teach him what he should probably say when you're sad then he might have some luck with it. until then, enjoy the cuddles.

💗hugs:

do they like hugs? after starting to date you, this man realized he loves hugs. and he loves giving hugs. but he's incredibly selective and thus far the only two (2) candidates have been allowed to pass through his tedious selection process. that being you and chopper (both of you are in a binding contract so you cant tell anyone about it either). well, luffy too if you count how clingy he can get 👍🏼 how often do they do it? he does hug you atleast once a day even if it as subtle as holding you from the back, resting his head on your shoulder. what are their hugs like? his hugs are genuinely bear hugs. okay. like he will engulf you and you will stand back and allow it to happen. he doesn't really hold on too long tho, so usually you gotta pull him back towards yourself and hug him tighter when you want it to last longer. pulling him towards yourself usually ends with him smiling and pressing a chaste kiss on your temple as his hands snake around you yet again.

💗"I love you" (how fast do they say the L-word?):

i think he says it fairly sooner than you anticipate. like however long you think he will take, it takes significantly lesser time. this is because (as i said), he probably spent a long time in denial and then in pining, so, naturally by the time you got together, he was sure of his feelings for you. anyways, one of my first fics on this blog was of how zoro probably said "i love you" to you when he was drunk and forgot about it when he woke up the next day. i still stand by that. i think it was a genuine, drunken confession but when you shyly confronted him about it, he just replied, "yeah, i meant that. i love you." his words were nonchalant but you could notice the dusted pink of his cheeks when he admits it and then his unsure gaze as he looks over your face and then the ground. (truth is, he only acted nonchalant. internally he is ready to jump off the ship incase you didn't say it back. thank god you said it back.)

💗jealousy (how jealous do they get? what do they do when they’re jealous?):

omg this man is simultaneously the most secure and the most jealous whore in this world. does he know you're not gonna cheat on him and ignore practically any man throwing himself on you? yeah, he knows that. but does he also want to cut off all those guys' heads if they even look at you? kinda, yes. i think he gets really shy to admit he's jealous. like he'd blame his irritable temper on the weather or the fact that he got less sleep last night. but you did notice how he clenched his jaw when a random guy in the market had been ogling you. and so, you tease him relentlessly. "zoro," you laugh, poking him in the chest accusingly, "are you sure? i think there might be something else going on" "like what?" he huffs, "i just got less sleep last night." "babe are you like jealous?" "no-" "you totally are" "stop saying that" "jealoussss" as to how does he deal with it? he fucks you. quick 'n easy. (im so sorry if youre a minor and reading this, in that case he pillow fights you to death.)

💗kisses (what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss you? where do they like to be kissed?):

what are their kisses like: after a long day, he always unwinds with you. so, his kisses are usually slow. he relishes in the way your lips feels against his, the way your cheeks feel like under his palm and the way you smile at him when you pull away. there's no haste because he has you right there and you both know you're not going anywhere. but on those nights he's pent up, anger and frustration strewn across his veins, he chooses to kiss you till he forgets just what he was angry about. his kiss-bitten lips are hot against yours, his hand roughly kneading your waist as he pours his anger into your desperate kisses. where does he like to kiss you: in public, his favourite spots are definitely your cheek or your temple as they are relatively tame pda tactics but still gets the point across. he gets to show his affection towards you without making a huge show for it. he also loves kissing on your shoulder as he rests his head on your shoulder and holds onto you. he can feel your pulse under his dull, soft kisses and heard your breathy hums and moans.

💗ittle ones (how are they around children?):

well, i hate kids. so, im gonna be biased. okay i don't hate kids but i hate toddlers. fucking devil spawns. i truly believe they will sacrifice us all for the beginning of the dark ages. anyways, zoro's not great with kids in theory. but somehow, when he interacts with kids he does end up somehow being a good (annoyed) dad figure (remember when he fathered three kids? cause i do)

💗mornings (how are mornings spent with them?):

morning with this green-haired ass start with you pushing his heavy arm off of you. you mumble that you're hot, trying to turn away from him and into the cool sheet. but it's no use because he just traps you against him yet again. zoro definitely doesn't give morning person vibes so i believe you are up before he is. you run you fingers softly against his scalp, bringing down your drumming fingers to his bare shoulders. you press an innocent kiss to his forehead and smile when he leans into your faint touches. when he finally wakes up, he looks up at you through sleepy eyes. he greets you with a tired "morning" before closing his eyes and draping himself you again. "zoro" you whisper half-heartedly, "everyone else is up, come on, we should get up too" he mumbles into your skin, "they weren't the ones keeping a watch last night, were they? come on, 10 more mins." "zo-" "please" he looks up at you, flashing you a soft smile, "10 mins." "10 mins only, okay? then we get up" (well, 10? more like 2 mins. luffy started yelling about breakfast and tried to eat before the food was served. and so, sanji (naturally) kicked him to near-death, so, you both had to wake up)

💗night (how are nights spent with them?):

walking out of the shower, you dry yourself off before cladding yourself in your pajamas. your limbs feel tired, body devoid of any and all energy as you climb into your bed to relax. sometimes you read, other times you just stare at the ceilings and think about stuff (we've all been there). zoro usually slips into the room silently, closing the door behind him. he plops down next to you and you curl up against him. sometimes, you both exchange small talk, if something fun happened while the other person wasn't around or gossip you heard from nami and ussop. but most days, you both simply enjoy the silence in each other's company till you're ready to fall asleep. every once in a while, he slips into the shower with you. (keeping this kids friendly) he gently washes your scalp and you rest your bare back against his chest as you ease yourself into the warm water. you return the favor by giving him a back massage. after this youre both so tired that you immediately pass the fuck out.

💗open:

when would they start revealing things about themselves: i feel like he'd know a lot about you before you find out anything important about him. he wears his loyalty and his dreams on his arms, but you don't find out why his dreams are so important or why he is so fidgety around tashigi until you're a good few days into dating. other small things about him are revealed to you thru his actions as he never mentions them, so, be prepared to be a persistent observer. do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly: he always reveals himself in little ways, never revealing too much. not because he doesn't trust you but because he's never had to talk about anything like this out loud. but anytime he does end up telling you something, it ends up being a heart to heart conversation. also, since he does get very drunk very often canonically, i don't think he's the type to slip up and tell things only cause he's not in the right headspace. so i imagine he only tells you things sober and in solitude, further cementing his trust in you.

💗patience (how easily angered are they?):

in moments of actual anger, as a swordsman, zoro is pretty good while handling his emotions. he knows how to differentiate between irrational feelings and actual solutions needed to get to the bottom of something. so, even when he gets mad he wouldn't necessarily act on it unless and until it is truly something that makes him tick. and things that make him tick includes people talking/doing something wrong to you or anyone in the crew, in that case he's going god mode. that being said, he will get easily irritated if someone is just joking around in the crew (especially sanji). he's incredibly patient with you tho, so, don't even worry about it and just accept him dumb antics for what they are.

💗quizzes:

how much would they remember about you? i see yall sleeping on my man and i hate it. yes, hes kind of an idiot and not the best with memory but if it's anything about you or your relationship?? best believe he knows everything like the back of his hand. but he only claims that kind of power when it comes to you cause he will not really bother to remember other stuff if its not important. do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything? even though he wouldn't outright keep saying he remembers, he will often mention it in passing. like if you bring up someone while recounting a story to him, he will probably remember the last time you mentioned that guy. that being said, his memory is still kinda ass. so, he sometimes mixes things up if they aren't that relevant to the plot. so forgive him okay? hes trying

💗remember:

what is their favorite moment in your relationship? i def feel like zoro prefers the mundane moments with you over any extravagant things. living on sea is insane, it's one thing after the other so knowing he has you to himself even for a few hours and in those hours, he gets to do nothing but love you truly means a lot to him. he isn't a cook by any means but this one time, when the rest of the crew had gotten off at a new island to restock and had only left you and him to keep guard, you had suggested you wanted to bake a cake. "i don't know how to cook" he mumbled softly, trying to convince you otherwise, "i can only do some cutting, slashing yk" "you dont even have to do anything!! just sit there and look pretty, i can do the baking." he eventually caved in. but now the memory of you making batter while he sat on the counter, talking to you is etched onto his every nerve. there had been a little bit of flour on your eyebrow and he used his thumb to clean it away before pulling you towards him and kissing you hard. you looked up at him, "i love you" "i love you too"

💗security:

how protective are they? i feel like zoro isn't as territorially protective as one would assume. like i said in the best friend section, he is more a laid-back "i know how to kill and get rid of the body, do whatever you want" kind of a vibe. that doesn't mean that he isn't gonna be on the verge of pulling out his swords the second someone even utters a word against you (but usually his dirty looks get the job done before he even pulls out the swords) how would they protect you? slash slash, stab stab and cocky remarks at the opponent (sometimes pure, unfiltered rage) how would they like to be protected? he's the roronoa zoro, he doesn't need physical protection. that being said, he wouldn't admit it out loud but just because he doesn't need you to pull out a gun to save him doesn't mean it doesn't give him pesky, little butterflies in his stomach whenever you defend him with your words. even if its something as small as calling out someone else's jokes that were targeted at him (and were just straight up offensive). or getting into actual verbal altercations (it happened once when you were drunk)

💗try:

how much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks? not a lot, tbh. look hes tired, you're tired, just cuddle and sleep okay? that being said he does put decent amount of efforts to surprise you every once in a while. he doesn't put on an extravagant show, so, mostly his surprises are just kinda lowkey and sweet. so on your anniversary, maybe he'd finally get the stick out of his ass and accept nami's idea of booking you a table somewhere expensive. but the memorable part isn't that, the memorable part is him asking (almost) shyly if you just wanna walk around town after dinner while he holds your hand and you bitch about your crew (in a loving manner).

💗ugly:

what would be some bad habits of theirs? omg obviously the drinking!!! i know he has high tolerance and shit but bro your liver's practically CRYING RN. please introduce yourself to some healthier coping mechanisms other than drinking and going stabby-stab. i also do think he's egoistic (it lessens with time) but its still a pain in the start

💗vanity:

how concerned are they with their looks? this man does not give two fucks about his looks, like legit couldn't care less. he does know he looks decent tho (i mean casting mackenyu was a choice, i see you oda sensei). but ever since dating you, he has been putting in little efforts. i think partially cause you bully him into having a skincare routine and showering daily and partially cause he just wants to be a pretty boyfriend to his favourite girl.

💗whole:

would they feel incomplete without you? yes and no. this is conflicting cause on one hand, ofcourse your absence will be equivalent to having daggers through his heart. but also, he seems like the guy who hyper-focuses on themselves after a breakup. i don't think he'd feel "incomplete" without you if you both ever broke up cause however dumb he is, he knows sometimes things don't work out and that's that. besides, even if you have to go, he still have people (the crew) to love and care for. but he would feel that glaring absence and it'll take a way heavier toll than anyone anticipated (cue him blasting heavy metal in his room and face-timing perona drunk and (almost) crying. perona suggested she takes care of you which made him actually cry cause perona dont be fucking mean)

💗xtra (a random headcanon for them):

zoro is so good at doing eye makeup specifically. i mean like because of all the sword-training and all, he has really good hand-eye coordination and very precise movements. so, like if you asked him to do your liner and give him specific-ish directions for how you want him to do it, he will 100% ace it. he doesn't really do well in other departments but he can learn (if you can make him learn thru that attitude of his) also, i theorize that he's ticklish but in the randomest fucking places. one time you lovingly ran your hand through his hair, bringing it playfully down to his nape and he fuckING GIGGLED?? another time you offered him a leg-massage cause he seemed to have pulled a muscle and you were working on his calf, trying to help him out and he yelped cause it tickled???? hello what do we do with this info now?

💗yuck:

what are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner? he wouldn't like judgmental people or people who are very uptight (cause although his jokes could be hit/miss, he doesn't wanna hear a fucking lecture). also dont be disrespectful to him/his friends. and also, i think he would have a thing against people who are too nosy (pre-dating mostly), like if he wanted to tell you something he would other than those basic things, he's chill.

💗zzz:

he's asleep before you can say "good night" because he's a simple man who needs to sleep 10 hours a day (minimum) see he isn't going off ruining lives, he's not fucking things up for someone else, he's just taking a nap. its like the least horrible thing he can do, let him nap. i do think he should get checked for some vitamin deficiency tho caue uh, just in case. that being said, you go to sleep now. i would too. goodnight!

Featuring: Price, Soap, Ghost, Konig, Keegan, Gaz (in that order under the cut)

Price:

Wife. You both met on a dating app when the Captain was feeling lonely. Poor man got so anamored what was supposed to be one date and a fuck turned into one date, two days, four dates then fucking, then well yk. He kept you under deep protection, the boys never really learned about you but Price sends you photos of them all the time, referring to them jokingly as his sons. You’ll meet them eventually, but only when Price knows Graves and Sheppard aren’t a problem anymore.

Soap :

Fiance. After a couple years and a lot of confidence talks by Gaz, he built up the courage. He knew you’d say yes, everyone knew. Everyone knew the night you came to the bar to pick Soap up when he was blackout drunk and didnt kill him when he vomited all over your car’s dash. Ghost knew of you first to snatch up Soap’s phone to call. He was gruff and to the point about it but he felt sorry seeing Johnny cry over missing you but not wanting to leave the team during a celebration for another successful mission. Price made you promise him he’d be allowed to walk Soap down the aisle since it was, as he said, “clear who wears the pants in this relationship.”

Ghost:

Situationship. He has too many attachment issues to be super stable and he knows it, especially with his line of work. You dont here from him for months at a time after goodbye dates, but when he comes back he’s basically living out of your apartment because it just feels better than living on base. He crashes on the couch because he doesnt want to join you in bed to make you uncomfortable or steal your bed by accident. He kicks and flops in his sleep like a fish.

Konig:

Wife. He couldn’t have put the ring on your hand faster out of fear of makimg you uncomfortable. After the second date he knew he wanted to marry you. But he waited a year to ask, it was painful for him. He asked the two of you elope, promised a ‘real’ wedding with a big white dress and anything you could ask for when the world was safer or his job slowed down. He has large enemies so he mostly keeps you as on the downlow as he can. Everyone knows not to mess with the Colonel's Wife.

Keegan:

Fiance. He promised you when you both graduated he’d marry you, lost contact not long after, reconnected a bit later, and he put a ring on you- promising he wouldn't lose you again. You’ve been engaged for a couple years but you want to be financially stable enough to do the dream wedding you both have planned on a Pinterest mood board. You’ve been his best friend since forever and met in a math class when he didn’t quite understand algebra. He says, “im not a math person,” quite often to this day.

Gaz:

Girlfriend. You met at a bar during his training way back while a friend was working as a bartender, they let you bust his ‘fake’ ID just to talk to him. He comes to see you every time he can now, cozying up in your bed and telling you the happy and fun moments he has with the boys on missions. You play Its Raining Men and he jokingly acts like he’s having flashbacks as a running gag.

bookstore au! your best friend/co-worker alex has been distant towards you recently

you sighed, tossing your jacket on as you made your way to the front door. alex marched ahead of you, eager to get to his car. he already seemed annoyed enough that you and him had been the ones to close tonight. alex was your best friend but recently he’d been so distant, so cold towards you and you had no idea why, but it made your heart hurt.

the whole day, it seemed like he was avoiding you. earlier in the day, whilst you were arranging a pile of new books on the shelves, you caught his eye from across the store, smiling warmly at him, hoping to relieve some of the tension and just wishing everything would go back to normal. instead, he completely ignored you, eyes cold and hesitant as he looked away. he’d been slowly distancing himself the whole week and you’d had enough.

you missed laughing together all day, working on cute little displays for new books, and taking lunch at the same time so you two could explore new cafe’s in town. you just wanted your best friend back. and it hurt.

furrowing your eyebrows, you quickly locked the front door of the bookstore, turning around to catch up to alex.

the crisp autumn air bit at your cheeks and nose, turning them a rosy pink color. the night sky was an intimidating shade of dark blue on this particular night. not a star in sight.

catching up to alex, who was still looking straight ahead and walking at the same pace, you shoved your hands into your pockets. “is everything okay?” you missed him so badly, praying that he would just tell you what was wrong. instead, he turned around, his eyes cold as he gave you an insincere smile. “yep.” he muttered, still looking at you.

you gazed back at him unconvinced. hurt, your eyes glazed with tears as you gave him a smile and nodded. he looked back at you, regret flooding into his features. you turned to walk away, accepting that you may have just lost your best friend.

“wait!” alex exclaimed, running after you and gently grabbing your arm. you turned around, sniffling as a tear rolled down your face. alex looked into your eyes with an intensity and sincerity that made your heart flutter.

he quickly embraced you in a hug, wrapping his arms tightly around you and burying the side of his face in your hair. surprised, you hugged him back. “im sorry. i didn’t mean to make you cry.” he muttered. you tried to pull away a bit but he just hugged you tighter. “i- i don’t know what i did.” you sniffled, voice trembling.

“i know i know. you didn’t do anything hon i’m sorry.” you sighed at the comforting feel of him holding you, relieved but still confused. “then why have you been so cold towards me? i miss you alex. i just want my best friend back.” you stammered, brows furrowed, his grip on you still tight as your head rested on his shoulder.

“because i’m in love with you.” alex replied. your heart skipped a beat and your stomach swirled at his words. he’d said it in such a sweet, calm manner that made your heart melt. you were speechless.

alex pulled away slightly, cupping your face in his hands and gently wiping a tear away with his thumb. “its just, it’s hard wanting to kiss you every time i see you knowing i can’t. knowing we’re just friends. i was terrified of ruining our friendship, but then i almost did anyways.” he scoffed. “i’m so sorry, i never meant to hurt you. i was just stubborn. and jealous.”

you looked up at him with soft glittery eyes, lost for words. alex continued. “i- i’m sorry, i just thought i’d tell you how i felt. if you dont feel the same you can walk away right now and i wont even-“ “alex.” you cut him off. the boy looked down at you, confused as you smiled at him.

“i love you too.”

Bernie x reader

Bernie trudged his way into your shared apartment. Tonight was not one of his nights at all.

The sound of the door opening quickly caught your attention as it was still too early for bernie to be home.

"Oh, welcom-" you tried greeting him, but he just plopped down to the couch and dragged himself closer to you, still laying face down.

You were shocked with this behaviour coming from bernie since usually he would be very bubbly and excited to tell you about what happened at the club today.

"Hey... what happened?" You talked to bernie softly as you take off his cap and play with his hair since you know that eases or relaxes him.

Bernie did not like feeling this way. He was supposed to be cheery and fun, not boring and quiet, bernie was not used to feeling like this at all, and it frustrated him.

You were shocked and worried when you felt droplets of tears on your lap, you quickly grabbed bernie's face to look at you, and there you confirmed that he was crying, tear marks all over his pretty face.

"Hey hey hey, what's wrong babe?" You asked him in a worried tone, wiping his tears.

Bernie just looked at you with his tear shined eyes in silence because for some reason, he couldn't voice out his feelings to you, even though he knew you would never judge him for feeling this way.

Seeing your worry filled eyes looking at him just made bernie tear up again, the way your eyes were looking at him with nothing but eagerness to make everything right for him, what did he do to deserve you?

Sensing that bernie may not be ready to talk to about it, so you just let him burry his head into your chest and cry his heart out.

Bernie clutched your shirt as if you were gonna disappear if he ever let go of you.

The feeling of your warmth against him, his nose being filled up with nothing but your scent, your hand continuing to stroke his head in attempt to calm him down, there were the only thing that were keeping him sane, you were the only one still keeping him connected to the world.

This was your first time seeing bernie in this kind of state, you didn't know what to do and felt overwhelmed but still you'll do anything in to make bernie feel better, there is little to none that you woudnt do for bernie.

"Hey, how about we take a bath?" You coax him.

A warm bath with you sounded nice to bernie, so he nodded softly against you. You smiled at the response bernie made. You began preparing the bath while still having bernie clinging on to you.

After preparing the bath with all of bernie's favourites, from his favourite scenetd candles to his favourite bath oil, you slowly removed his clothes and let him get into the tub first, then you took off your own clothes and joined him.

In the bathe, bernie once again sat on top of you, and buried his face in your shoulders as he felt the tears pooling in his eyes again, seeking solace and security in your warmth, he clutched onto you again, hugging for his dear life. You felt the hot tear droplets in your shoulders once more and just comforted bernie again.

While comforting bernie, he finally opened up on why he was crying.

"I hate feeling like this baby, im so sorry you ahve to see me like this, I don't feel normal, I feel down, I feel exhausted, I don't feel like myself and I hate it, I feel uncomfortable in my own skin-" bernie coudnt finish his rant as his sobs got a better of him.

"Hey shh it's okay, it's okay to feel like that bern, you dont have to say sorry, you did nothing wrong, its not wrong to feel this way babe, it's okay not to be in the mood every once in a while, it's okay to feel burnt out, and it's definitely okay and normal to feel like this, you're person too babe, a person can be exhausted from time to time, all of us has our breaking point, you don't always need be obligated to be the life of party every time it's just okay to be quiet and boring, like me" you affirmed him, Bernie did not say anything else and just nodded while softly sniffing.

The both of you just spended more cuddling with each other, and you showering bernie with words of affirmation.

You got off the bath first and dried yourself then prepared bernie warm clothes, you dried him off and clothed him, the both of of you just did this in a comfortable silence and only talked in soft, quite tones to each other.

While drying bernie's hair, he broke the silence and asked, "What did I do to deserve you?"

You looked down at bernie, and you saw how his eyes were just filled with pure admiration and sincerity when he asked that.

You kneeled down to bernie's level and looked into his eyes, making sure that he saw the love you were feeling for him through your eyes.

"Oh, bernie, if only you could yourself through myself, you wouldn't question why you deserve me. You deserve so much more, my love." You confessed, softly stroking his cheek and giving him a smile.

"You... you are the only thing that I will ever love, need, want, hope, and yearn for." Bernie confessed.

Your smile only widened with his words, and so you kissed bernie with all the emotions you could ever offer, and bernie kissed back with just same passion that you have.

As soon your lips met bernie's, everything did not matter other than you, bernie did not need to have everything else than you.

HIII CERSEI GUESS WHOS BACK (YOUR FELLOW WOTG FAN) WITH MY THOUGHTS ON COTG:

It is such a funny book, my fav jokes being the 'shrek, fiona, donkey' joke and an underrated classic in my mind, the scene where percy is like "There was screaming, crying and running in circles, and that was ✨just me✨" when talking about blanche's story (its so brutally honest and funny in a vulnerable way, which I will expand later on with the vulnerable part of it). It had so many iconic moments

It was a very low stakes, slow plot. You can tell Rick wrote it for the experience of reading our fav characters again (adding on to the fact that rick was made to write it by disney as additional marketing for the show, you can tell the plot wasnt thought of much), and ive seen people get mad over it, id love to know what you think!

This is a bit of a touchy topic. I've seen the people on the internet calling percabeth abusive with the constant name calling and the physical ??violence?? ( i obviously dont agree, but thats another topic), but something I've observed that everything that anti percabeths pointed out was toned down in the book?? Another post confirms that the majority of seaweed brains in the book was from percys pov and not annabeth actually saying it (like when hes looking at her expression and saying things like 'she looked like she was trying to say,....') and also when it comes to physical 'violence' (it feels so wrong to say bc i cant find another word lolol), the only things i found while rereading were 'lightly pinched my arm' and 'nudged me with her toe' which is wayyyy more toned down than ricks usual 'swatting my arm' or 'punching me' or 'judoflipped me'

One thing I admire so much about this book is the way he's written the characters vulnerability. percys way more open when he talks about crying whereas in the books its brushed over a lot, which is something the lovely @demigods-posts pointed out. annabeth tearing up when sally compliments her on something small like a cupcake, grover scared of percy and annabeth leaving him, and ofc percy. i saw someone interpret the river god scene as a ptsd induced panic attack, and i admire how rick has written it with so much angst, but still kept it light for the tone of the books.

another thing i love is how the characters dont revolve around percy as a main character (which is probably something rick learned while writing the tv show). annabeth has hobbies of her own, she's in her dream school, she is a busy woman and good for her. grover regularly goes to camp, and has his own conflicts with his gf and stuff. sally and paul are on their own arc with the baby on the way.

the fluff needs a special mention. every moment is so cute and sweet, there are way too many instances, especially with grover and percy which there was a severe lack of in hoo. them turning to seven year olds, percy and annabeths daily night iris message routine, the domesticity of the jacksons family

Since you mentioned her, I LOVED Blanche. Iris is one of my favourite goddesses, so it was great seeing her. And I loved watching a god actually be ignored by their teenage child for once instead of the other way around. Blanche being a propel rebel with the monochrome was golden. (also, pink hummingbirds? lol)

It is obvious there wasn't much in terms of an actual plot with real structure, but it was fun and light-hearted and it does set the foundation for something in the future. Not all quests need to be high stakes, all-hands-on-deck, the world is coming undone. I liked watching the trio have semi normal lives (meeting up for smoothies after school) instead of constantly being on hero mode.

I genuinely had no clue people were upset about Percabeth's interaction in this. But seriously, violence? Did those people forget Annabeth judo-flipped Percy in New Rome, or was it okay then because it was a grand romantic gesture? How is punching someone in the arm to tell them they are being an idiot (provided you don't turn them black and blue of course) abuse? Percy and Annabeth are in a relationship, obviously they are going to be tactile with each other. Not to mention, people often nudge each other in real life and nobody shouts abuse then. I am rambling now but honestly this is the first I've heard of this and I have opinions.

I know Rick wrote the PG version, but can we talk about Zeus literally objectifying Ganymede at brunch and nobody but Hera (and Percy silently) batting an eye? Honestly, I am not a hardcore Zeus hater (although he is an a**hole) but the way Rick writes him he has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I officially volunteer to be Hera's divorce attorney.

I really liked the idea of Annabeth having a secret fan club and having dinner with Sally, Percy and Paul every night. That was excellent.

I am already brainstorming theories about what the third book is going to be. Does it matter that WOTG isn't even out yet? Absolutely not. I kind of want it to be about Athena because her interactions with Percy are always 10/10, but that probably won't happen.

It was the next day and i was woken up by someone shaking me.

Loak: y/n wake up come on we are late!

y/n:What? Loak shut up i wanna sleep.

Loak:No time to sleep you agreed to come with me Spider and Kiri so get your as up now.

I looked at him.Right now i remember he wanted us to go explore the forest and i said i will come with him.I mean its not like i have anything else to do so i thought it would be fun.

y/n:Okay okay im comming.

Loak:You better.

y/n:Is Neteyam ganna come?

Loak:He is going with mom and dad hunt.You know like everytime.

He said as he started to walk out of the tent.I guess i forgot about the hunting.I looked around the tent and Spider was not in it.I guess i really am late hm.

I walked out of the tent with some fruit in my hand.As i walked out i saw Kiri , Spider and Loak standing next to each other.

Spider:Morning sis someone was sleepy from last night.

Said Spider with an angry look.

Kiri:Spider.

She hissed at him.

Spider: Whatever can we just go?

Loak:Yes lets go.

Tuk: Wait up i wanna go with you!

Yelled Tuk as she ran to us.

y/n:Tuk.

I said with a smile on my face.

Loak:Tuk you cant come with us.

Tuk:But i wanna go!

Kiri:Loak let her come with us.

Said Kiri as Loak hissed a little.

Tuk:I will tell mom if you dont let me come.

Loak:Fine you can come.But dont do anything stupid.

Tuk:Yay.

Replied Tuk as she started to jump around.

Spider:Lets get going.

We all started to leave and in some minutes we were already walking on the vines.I must say when i first steped on them some years ago i was scared.I just looked down and felt fear.But now im not so scared.I mean im still careful but im having fun.

Kiri,Spider, Loak and I were all yelling out of happiness.

Kiri:Wuhu!

Loak:Bro!

Kiri:Go monkey boy!

Yelled Kiri as we were all jumping.

Tuk:Guys wait for me!

I could hear Tuk yell behind me.I stoped and looked back at her.

y/n:Come on Tuk you dont want me to be the first one there do you?

I said with a small smirk.

Tuk:I will win.

She said as she was now infront of me.

y/n:Hey wait up!

Now it was me who was last.

It did not take us a long time to get on the ground and start to run around the forest.Spider was first right next to him was Loak behind him me and just a little bit behind were Tuk and Kiri.

y/n:Im starting to get tired.

I yelled so that Loak and Spider could hear me.

Spider:Come on y/n your lucky you dont need a mask.Now come.

I roled my eyes.True i dont need one but i still need the mask every now and then if i get really tired.

y/n:Fine fine.

Loak:Tuk come on.

Tuk:Okay okay.

Spider:Bro why did you bring her?

Asked Spider as we all stoped.

Loak:She is such a cry baby«Im telling mom if you dont let me come«

Kiri:Dont pick on her.

Said Kiri as we all started to walk onec again.

We were walking for some time until we came to a destroyed helicopter gunship that was cowered by vines.

Loak:Come on guys.

Tuk:Are there any dead bodys up there?

Asked Tuk with curiosity in her voice.

Loak:No i cant see any.

Spider:Hey where did Kiri go?

y/n:Im not sure.

I replied as Loak was still loking at the helicopter gunship.

Spider:I will go look for her.

Said Spider as he walked away.

y/n:Hey Loak come down hire i dont want you to get hurt.

Loak:Calm down im fine.

Replied Loak as he gived me a reassuring smile.

y/n:Loak come on i dont like this.

Loak:Ok ok im comming.

He replied slowly comming to me and Tuk.

A few minutes later we were walking as we were now looking for Kiri and Spider.

y/n:Kiri!

Loak:Kiri,Spider!

Said Loak a little louder.

y/n:Hire you two are.

I said as i saw Kiri and Spider sitting on grass.

Tuk:Kiri we have to get back

Said Tuk as Kiri and Spider walked to us.We were making our way back home as Loak saw something on the ground. Footprints.

Kiri:What is it?

Asked Kiri annoyance in her voice.

Loak:That is way to big for a human.

Said Loak as we were all now looking at the footprints

Spider:Avatars?

Loak:Maybe,but they for sure arent ours.

Replied Loak as him and Spider started to follow the footprints.

Kiri:What are you doing?

Loak:SHHH im tracking.

Replied Loak as we all started to follow Loak.We were walking for about 1 minute as we saw some avatars walking around.

y/n:We are never soposed to come hire.Jake is going to ground you.

Loak:Shh can you stop.

Kiri:For life.

Loak:Bro you got to look at this,lets go

Loak told Spider as they started to go closer to the avatars.

y/n:Spider get back hire you skxawng.

Spider:shh its all ok.

I was left with Kiri and Tuk.Kiri was looking at the two as Tuk was now hugging me.Poor thing she is scared.I tryied my best to make feel better by hugging her back but i dont think it worked.Soon Loak and Spider came back as Loak told us he will call Jake, to tell him about the avatars.

Loak:Devil dog, this is Eagle eye,over.

Jake:Eagle eye send your traffic.

Loak:I got my eyes on some guys they look like avatars but they arent ours,there is about 6 of them over.

Jake:What is your pos over?

Asked Jake worry in his voice.

Loak:Um we are at the old shag.

Jake:Who is we?

Asked Jake im not sure if i could hear worry or anger in his voice.

Loak:Me,Spider,Kiri…y/n and Tuk

Jake:…Son you listening to me very clearly. Retreat as fast as you can and dont make a sound.Got it?

Asked Jake now i could hear worry in his voice and that made me even more scared.

Loak:Got it we are moving out.

Loak told Jake as we started to go back.

Kiri:I told you.

Neteyam pov:

I was on my ikran flying next to dad and behind us was mom.The hunt was pretty good today , i even got something for y/n.She does not usually go out of the camp so i like to bring her some things i find pretty for her.

Loak:Devil dog, this is Eagle eye,over.

I heard Loaks voice.Why is he calling in?

Jake:Eagle eye send your traffic.

Loak:I got my eyes on some guys they look like avatars but they arent ours,there is about 6 of them over.

I look over at dad when i heard that.Where is this idiot.

Jake:What is your pos over?

Loak:Um we are at the old shag

We?Who did he bring with him.

Loak:Me,Spider,Kiri…y/n and Tuk.

The moment i heard her name my heart stoped.I thought she was at home helping grandma.But she is out there with some avatars.Eywa please dont let anything happen.

Jake:…Son you listening to me very clearly. Retreat as fast as you can and dont make a sound.Got it?Get the hell out of there.Move, copy?

Loak:Yes sir, moving out.

Loak if something happens to her i promes to Eywa your dead.

Neteyam:Dad i know a quick way!

I said as dad and mom followed me.

Y/n pov.

y/n:Spider im scared

I said as Spider looked back at me with a confused look on his face.I rarely said that to him so rarely in fact that when ever i did tell him that he knows im for reall.

Spider:Hey dont worry little baby we are going to be ok.

Kiri:Your going to be in so much trouble.

Loak:Kiri stop.

Spider:Guys come on

Tuk:Its almost eclipse come on.

Said Tuk and just as she said that i could hear her scream.As i looked at her i could see one of the avatars grabbed her.

Kiri:TUK!

Kiri yelled,as Spider and Loak pointed theyer bows at the avatars.

Avatar 1:Put it down!Put it down or i will shoot you!

y/n:Put it down Spider.

I said as Spider looked at me and did as i said.Just as he did that the avatars ran to us and grabbed our arms.

Tuk:Y/n!

y/n:Be calm,calm.

I said in a calm voice,as much as i was panicking i had to calm down Tuk as much as i could.Just then 2 more man came to us.

Avatar:What have we hire?

Asked one of the 2 man as he looked at all of us and then at Loak.

Avatar 2:Hey colonel check it out 5 fingers,we have a half-breed.

Avatar:Show me your fingers

Said the man that i now assumed was the leader as he walked to Loak.Loak looked at him and showed him the middle finger.God your stupid Loak i just hoped its not ganna make the man angry.

Avatar:Heh youre his arent you?

Asked the man as Loak hissed at him.

Avatar:Youre his all right.

Said the man with a smile on his face as he grabbed Loaks braid.

Avatar:Where is he?

Loak:Sorry i dont speak English…..to buttholes.

Avatar:Where is your father!?

Asked the man now anger in his voice as he pulled Loaks braid even tighter.That made Loak hiss even more.

Avatar:Really? You wanna play it this way?

Said the man as he pulled out a knife.

Kiri:Stop!

Yelled Kiri as the man pulled the knife closser to Loak.

y/n:Leave him alone!

I yealled at the mad with anger in my voice..As i said that the man pushed Loak to the ground as he walked to me.The man looked at me with a confused face.He probably never saw a human with the navi.

Loak:y/n! No!Stop!

Spider:Hey HEY DONT TOUCH HER!

Loak:Please dont hurt her!

Said Loak as the man looked at Spider.

Avatar:What are your names kids?

Asked the man looking at me and Spider.

Spider:Spider and y/n…..Socorro.

Avatar:Miles?

Spider:Nobody calls me that.

Avatar:Well ill be damned.Well i figured they sented you two back to Earth.

Said the man.Im not sure if i could hear sadness in his voice.

Spider:They cant put babys in cryo dipshit.

Now i was starting to understand who this man was.My father.Oh how i hated to call that monster my father.But it was true.

The man was looking at Spider for a little longer then got up and signed to the man behinde Spider to grab him again.

Quaritch:Iron sky, blue one ,actual.

He said as he started to talk to someone telling them he has some prisoners.Im guessing they are us.

Kiri:Let us go

Said Kiri as they started to pull us back to the shag.As we came back the avatars pushed us down to the ground as they started to tie us.I was thrown to the ground next to Loak.

I could see the leader and another man watching something but i could not see what it was.We were there for some time,we could not talk but Spider still did his best to give me reassuring looks.

Neteyam pov.

We got there pretty fast and just as i was about to follow dad he turned around and looked at me.

Jake:No no you stay hire with the ikrans.

Neteyam:But dad im a warrior like you. Im supposed to fight.

Neytiri:Neteyam.

Neteyam:She is there.If something happenes to her i will never forgive myself.

Jake:Im not ganna say it again.You stay hire.And about y/n she will be safe dont worry.Do you understand?

Neteyam:Yes sir.

I said as they both left.I cant just stay hire.What if they get hurt?What if she gets hurt.I looked at my ikran , turned around and started to go after them.

Y/n pov.

Soon it was dark and they all pulled us back up and we were now waiting for who ever the leader was talking to some time back.That is who THEY were waiting for,we were waiting for Jake and Neytiri.It started to rain as we were now standing in darknes,the only light were the flowers around us.

Woman:Blue one,stand by ready.We are 3 minutes out.

I could hear a womens voice come out of the thing on the leaders neck.

Quaritch:Heads up,3 minutes.

I was trying to think about what we will do,if the back up will come before Neytiri and Jake , as i heard a sound.It sounded like an animal but i know it was not an animal.It was Neytiri.Her call that only we know.And there it is again.As the sound was heared again me,Tuk,Kiri,Loak and Spider all looked around.Now we all knew who it was.And again third time.I was standing still waiting for my time to bite the hand that was holding me.Just as i was thinking that the man holding Kiri and Spider was shot.

Quaritch:CONTACT REAR!

Yelled Quaritch as they started to shot in the direction the arrow was shot from.

Neytiri:Loak!

Yelled a voice.It was Neytiri.That made Loak pulled one of smoke bombs from the avatar that was next to Loak and made me and Tuk bite the hand from the avatar that was holding us.

Tuk:Loak!

Loak:Tuk,y/n come on.Go,go,go!

He said as we started to run but i could feel someone pull me back.It was one of the avatars and he was grabing my hair.I hissed but he did not let go.Just then the guy fell to the ground and as i looked at him i could see an arrow in his face.That arrow i know it.It was Neteyams.But how?I looked around and saw a dark figure not so far away with a bow in his hands.Neteyam.I thought as a smile came to my face.

Neteyam pov.

I was running for some time until i got to the scene.By that time dad and mom have already made their move.I pulled out my bow and looked around to see if anyone needs help or if i could do anything.I looked around and saw Loak , Tuk and y/n as they all started to run away from the avatars

Loak:Tuk,y/n come on.Go,go,go!

Loak yelled.Y/n was the last one and i kept my eyes on her.But just then i heard her yell.One of the man was holding her back by her hair.That was the moment the only thing i saw was red.I puled back my bow and shot the man.I did not know if i was soposed to do that or if dad would be mad, but i did not care.I could see y/n look back at the man in confusion.She stared at him and then a my bow for a little and then start to look around.She looked at me (tho i think she did not saw me clearly) and as she laid her pretty eyes on me i saw a small smile on her face and i as well felt one on my own face.

Y/n pov.

Loak:Y/n! Come come!

Yelled Loak as he pulled me and we all started to run again.We were runing for not much of time when out of nowhere Jake and Nateyam jumped out.That scared me and made me scream but as soon as i saw it was them the fear went away.

Tuk:Dad!

Jake:You hurt?

He asked me as he looked me up and down looking for any wounds.

y/n:No im fine

Jake:Tuk you hurt?

Tuk:Daddy!

Cried out Tuk as she went to hug him.That was it we were saved and that made me let out my tears that i was holding for some time now.Neteyam came to me and again asked if i was alright.

Neteyam:You hurt?Did that guy hurt you?

y/n:No im im fine.

I said as i hugged him.He got to my level and huged me back.

Neteyam:Hey it ok Kxetse.

y/m:Thank you.

Neteyam:Do not thank im just happy your safe.

After some time we ended the hug as he was looking in my eyes.We could see the helicopter as it took of flying.Just then Neytiri and Kiri cam out of some bushes.

Tuk:Mom!

Neytiri:Tuk

Said Neytiri as she hugged Tuk.Jake pulled Loak me and Nateyam into a hug as well.

Jake:Its ok.We are all ok.

Neytiri:Oh thank you great mother.Thank you.

y/n:Where is Spider?

I asked with tears still in my eyes.Kiri looked at me with tears in her eyes as well.

Kiri:They took him.They took him

y/n:What!

I yelled looking at her.

y/n:What do you mean they took him?

I was crying again as my voice broke some times as i asked that.Kiri was crying as well and did not say anything.I could feel a hand on my shoulder but i just moved back.

y/n:How could you just let them take him!M.. my …my brother…They took my brother!

I screamed.Im pretty sure the whole forest heard my broken and hurt voice.

Jake:Okay.Its okay baby girl.He is a tough kid.All right.Shhh shh.

Said Jake as he hugged me.I struggled and moved around wanting the hug to end but i did not have any energy left so in the end i just stood there.

Jake:He is going to be okay.We are all ganna be okay.

Continued Jake as i started to cry again.

Loak:Hey hey dont cry.You know that he can kick their ass right?

Loak said trying his best to make me smile as Jake leted me go.I did not reply with anything.I was just looking at the ground as the rain was now heavyer then before.I felt a hand on my shoulder again but this time i did not do anything to make it go away.Then there was another hand on my other shoulder.And then the hands hugged me from behind and someone rested their head on my shoulder.

Neteyam:He is gonna be safe.Trust me…….You do trust me do you not?

I looked at his face and nodded.

Neteyam:Good good.

(Something you might not understand is that part when Spider said that y/n does not need a mask.She still is human but as i mentioned in the first part she had an accident when she was a kid.She had to pass through the eye of Eywa.And she did.But when she woke up there were changes.One of them being that she can breath without a mask.But if she gets really tired or does not gave any enery she will need the mask.One of the changes is that she is pretty much like Kiri.She has a connection with Eywa tho its not as strong as Kiris.)
