mickey/ian + spirit halloween headcanons:

Mickey has never been to one, so Ian makes sure to step on every single animatronic pedal to make them jump out at him…and Mickey certainly threatens violence/squares up with each one every time. And Ian? Pleased with himself the whole time.

Mickey finds the section of masks and immediately goes crazy with it. He’ll put on the scariest, most grotesque one he can find and pop out of every corner ian turns.

Mickey picks up pretty much every single gorey decoration and says “man, we gotta get one of these”. He picks up the headband made to look like a knife, talking about how fun it would be to prank Debbie with it.

He’ll find the ugliest mask or statue he can and make some joke about how it looks like Lip, making only himself chuckle.

Ian will pick up some skimpy red-devil outfit and make eyes at Mickey...to which he promptly receives a "In your dreams, Gallagher" and a middle finger.

They go back in every year since the first time, Ian eventually begging Mickey to get matching costumes for their whole family.

Happy Halloween!

Getting in just under the wire with this little holiday drabble, enjoy! 👻

Please excuse any errors I wrote this while caring for a newborn 🙃

Luke and Julie sit in their living room. Hocus Pocus plays on the tv, a bowl of candy sits between them. This years trick or treaters have long since headed home for the evening.

Luke unwraps a mini Kit Kat bar and holds it out for Julie. She adjusts the sleeping infant in her arms to free a hand and takes the candy from him.

She takes a bite and chews slowly, watching as the Sanderson sisters stir their cauldron on the tv screen before speaking, “A hotdog, Luke? You want to dress our child as the one food item that almost successfully killed you 8 years ago?”

He looks incredibly unbothered by the memory of tainted hot dogs and a 5 day hospital stay as he exclaims, “It’s better than Reggie’s idea of a barbecued rack of ribs! I mean, where would you even find a costume for that??”

Julie rolls her eyes as he hands her another unwrapped candy, “How about we don’t dress her up as any food items. Why not something cute? Like a teddy bear? Or a princess?”

“Something cute, eh? Well I’ve got just the thing,” Luke’s grin turns mischievous as he looks down at their daughter and then back up at Julie, “We’re going to need a teeny-tiny beanie and to cut the arms off a onesie. Do you think they make electric guitars in her size?”

Julie scoffs, feigning offence, “Luke! I thought you were going to say we should dress her up as me!”

Hiiii!!!! I wasn't quite sure what to give you for trick or treat so I hope you like it 🌟👻🎃

"Can it wait, Ma? I have to study for a really big test." Eddie holds his breath, fingers curled around the doorknob, while he waits for the answer. "Fine. That's fine. Just make sure you do it before bed!" "Thanks!" He silently pumps his fist in celebration and closes his bedroom door. He supposes he should feel guilty, because the thing is he doesn't have a really big test. Or even a test. What he's got is a burning desire to watch the meteor shower that's supposed to be visible in the next twenty minutes. He knows he's cutting it close while he opens his backpack, pulling out textbooks and his trapperkeeper, but he needs to make his mom believe his white lie. At least his dad is away on business. Eddie replaces stuffs a small telescope in the bag and slings it over his shoulder. He quietly cracks open his bedroom window and climbs out to the small overhang. From there it's a short leap to the gigantic oak tree. He grips the thick branch, moving each hand a little at a time until he's face to face with the trunk and able to drop to the ground. "Oof!" No matter how many times he does this, hitting the roots and dirt always surprises him a little. He dusts off his jeans and starts to make a run for the field behind the house when a voice stops him. "Sneaking out again, little brother?" Sophia. And she's wearing a shit eating grin when he turns around. "Meteor shower tonight. Cover for me if Ma tries to go in my room before I get back?" He looks at her, full of hope and a trust that can only be forged between siblings. "Obviously." She rolls her eyes dramatically in that way that only teenage girls can pull off. "You can pay me back on Friday night for a party I may or may not be attending." Sophia winks before turning to jog towards their front door. Eddie doesn't hesitate to continue his trek. He's only got a few minutes to find the perfect spot and set up. When he thinks he's far enough away from the light, he pulls the telescope from his bag and sets up the tripod. The lens is adjusted for optimal focus and aimed at the correct part of the sky. Now all he has to do is wait.
