NEW ONE PIECE TRAILER LET'S GOOOOO
we got the roger execution scene!!! he looks fantastic, and he did SO well with the speech!
there's an older marine in a suit standing on the execution platform and i'm like 95% sure it's garp???? and if so, i love that they made that decision, hell yeah, it makes SO MUCH SENSE
luffy's little "Mutiny" joke when he asked the news coo to join his crew and it flew away....i found that way funnier than i should have 😂
the scene where luffy paints the first version of their jolly roger!! i loved it SO MUCH especially with the little detail of him having paint splatters on his face 🥺iñaki has impeccable luffy vibes and i can tell i'm gonna adore him in this role
we got to see buggy's devil fruit in action! i'm surprised they didn't lean more into the body horror aspect of it, but i still adore buggy. i wasn't sold on his hair last time, but it looks a lot better in this trailer tbh.
there's a scene where it looks like garp's ship is firing canonballs at the straw hats? which, unless it's a misdirect due to clever editing, that's a bit surprising that we get an altercation so early in the series. though i doubt they'd reveal the relationship between luffy and garp this early on in the series...hopefully
the scene where sanji is fighting kuroobi is really interesting because it looks like it's taking place in the baratie! my best guess is that they're overlapping baratie and arlong park a little? maybe nami spent too long away from arlong park so he sent kuroobi and/or chew to go fetch her back, instead of her voluntarily betraying the straw hats?
on that note, we get our first look at the fishmen, and they look surprisingly decent!! i don't have any complaints about their designs, and i'm a huge fan of arlong especially. no signs of hachi though...🥲
we finally got a sanji voice line, as well as some banter between him and zoro which was hilarious!! looks like they let taz keep his british accent, which i know some people were curious about last time.
the scene of nami sitting next to bellemere's grave 😭😭😭
"you're my captain. from now...until the end" HELLO? I'm gonna be PHYSICALLY ILL. I love him so fucking much, I'm never gonna get over this fucking line. I'm guessing it's probably after the mihawk fight
we got a good look at both mihawk and shanks! they are both, of course, absolutely stunning. Yoru looks really good too
the CGI on luffy's arms when he's fighting against arlong looks a LOT better than what we saw in the previous trailer against alvida!! it's a bit reassuring. i guess that one scene was just weird because of how much they were focusing on it. they probably did it that way because it was the first time we saw luffy really use his power in the series so they wanted to make a big deal of it
the scene where shanks puts the hat on baby luffy...😭😭
maybe i'm a bit late but in the logo, where it has luffy standing in the nose of the jolly roger, i only just realized it's manga luffy and not iñaki 😂
we got a good look at Coby!!!! Morgan looks absolutely flawless, they were definitely the right choice for the role. Also, in the last trailer we got a split second glimpse of Coby when Luffy was punching Alvida and his hair looked pale blonde due to the lighting, which I was a bit sad about. Glad we got to see in this trailer that they did actually keep his hair pink! phenomenal!

i think truly the most absurd parenting scenario we could put sanji in is with Real Pirate King Buggy 🦅🦅🦅🦅
Sanji would really suit that like. commedia dell’arte venetian theatre. Sanji would make a fine Arlecchino or Tartaglia (both lover roles, but Arlecchino or ‘the Harlequin’ is often a trickster character too)
Buggy would unironically be an incredible father tho. like. i am fully confident that there is nothing Buggy doesn’t excell in despite his pathetic soppy wet cat existence. He’s a COMPETENT soppy wet cat.
Sanji growing up as an acrobat in Buggy’s circus and getting doted on by all the crew oh ya know he’d love the dramatic flamboyance of it all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Listen.
Listen, you're cooking. And it smells GREAT! But I think we need to adjust the seasoning a bit. Buggy managed to successfully hide in the East Blue and be forgotten from Roger's crew and all his adversaries. Like Buggy has to be running a network of some sort. He probably has informants in the New World ya know? For sure in the Grand Line.
I don't really fuck with Shuggy ATM(crossguild brain rot) but like also Buggy probably knows about Usopp and Luffy and that's part of why he signed the(forged) adoption papers. Sanji is also probably skilled with all sorts of weapons? His kitchen knives are not weapons but like he has a set of knives that are always hidden on him. He probably shows Usopp a bunch of spices and stuff that are good for bombs and Nami and Robin are confused about exactly how much in universe Shakespeare, albeit Robin is impressed. Luffy just knows but imagine Zoro finds out when the cook, who doesn't fight with his hands just swallows a Marines sword to distract them right before Luffy Gum Gum Pistols them.
Rayleigh talks more about Shanks and Sanji is just looking at his nails and briefly brings up Buggy. And Sanji can't help himself when he says "at least he's not a dead beat, he didn't abandon me" which makes Robin laugh and Luffy and Usopp ask what means and Sanji is like "you both haven't seen the Redhair crew since you were in the single digits, Buggy saw me at Baratie three weeks before you lot wrecked it and he would stop by every couple of weeks normally" And the crew is shook.
Like then Sanji just proudly showing everyone his photo of the Buggy Pirates, him, and Buggy in the adoption office and then again with just Buggy and Sanji and the paper and the jolly Roger. Rayleigh is having heart palpitations as Nami, Luffy, and Zoro scream at how lame his dad is and Sanji is like "oh you guys are the reason he's in Impel Down this makes sense" and Rayleigh is losing it. Shakky is laughing so hard. Rayleigh asks if anyone is planning to get Buggy out of prison and Sanji shrugs and says the lion is in charge now.
And then after the time skip to the forming of the crossguild everyone keeps shitting on. Like imagine Mihawk and Croc walking into Buggy's tent and seeing Black Leg Sanji as a child in full clown get up sitting on his own head in a photo and next to it is the adoption photo. When they ask Buggy about it hes just like "oh yeah, I adopted him at ten. Saw him all the time after he started at Baratie. Unfortunate he's not out of his civilian phase yet." And Croc and Mihawk are reeling. "Then again I think having to relive his trauma in Germa and with Big Mom probably didn't help, oh well. I'll talk to him about it when I see him."
When they see each other is some meeting between the Hats, the Guild and Redhair Pirates Luffy and Usopp are really happy to see their dad's. Sanji is probably being passed around by Buggy's crew and petting Richie who has him pinned to the ground and Crocodile is groaning that the clown's kid did the whole Mr. Prince thing and Shanks is confused because "you didn't tell me you had a brat?"
"well I legally adopted him eleven years ago and when Garp found out he said I was a better dad than you and Roger and Rayleigh so."

"Fairness" One Piece x Saitama reader twelve.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Just a Normal girl looking for an everyday life. At least, if you call sailing across the seas with idiots with useless dreams a simple task, then you might wanna see a doctor. Seriously."
Warnings: Blood, gore, mentions of Luekimia, and heaps amount of blood and strength. It might be a little cursing, but not bad, and maybe some flirting in there, but it's mostly clean.
Other things:
-You didn't get bald due to your powers; you got bald to an extreme illness.
-You part of the straw hat crew, but others are interested in you and your power.
-Everyone that is a male is taller than you.
-Monsters from the OPM world will appear in One Piece, and I'll make some new monsters you will fight.
Enjoy the twelfth chapter everyone!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Man, it's been a while.
Last time we left off, I accepted to join Luffy's crew, and for the past two years, as a captain, he ordered everyone to grow strong, for two years straight.
Including me.
Yep, that's right, he trained his Haki with Rayleigh, and I trained my haki and strength with the Marine hero, Garp.
It's been interesting, as he didn't go as hard as he did with Luffy when he was a kid, but I still worked just as hard.
Every single morning, I start with a prestige workout.
10-kilometer run.
Upper body strength.
Core strength.
Lower body strength.
weight training.
Inner peace activities, Yoga, Stretching, and Balancing.
Then Garp worked on my strategy mindset, along with different defense techniques, attacks, and mind movements with chess, and other Japanese-like games that I wasn't familiar with.
He also taught me different Haki tequniques from himself, and stuff he learned from fighting Roger, who was the last king of the pirates.
At first, I was confused on why he would train a person who would become a pirate, then I realised he knew how important I was to Luffy, and wanted to make me storng so when he comes across me again, he won't hold back his strength, which I wouldn't blame him.
But, things aside, Garp also worked on combat training with me against Koby, who I formed some sort of bond with over the past two years.
The blonde didn't like me because I was a pirate, but I grew on him once the two years were coming to an end.
But, all of the harsh training and sparing, making new friends with some Marines, and people, the two years will soon come to an end, when Tomorrow I meet up with Luffy, and meet my new crew members.
It was a start of a new journey, and Journey of fun, excitement and Adventure, which was something I've been longing for forever.
Oh, and your probably wondering, what about Crocodile, buggy, and the ones who helped me and Luffy at Marineford? Well, let's say I was writing them all letters, and knew that Ivankov was training one of my crewmembers I've yet to meet yet.
All of them are doing quite well, Mister Three Joined buggies crew, while Mister One was working beside Crocodile, as they are trying to rise the ranks, to become something differemt which makes me proud.
Jimbei hasn't written back at all, which is understandable as he is a busy fishman all the time, but it makes me curious on how he is doing.
Luffy has seemed to be doing well, as he wrote back to me all rayleigh has taught him, all the jokes and fun things the two did these past two years, which made me excited to see him more and more.
Ace, however, did some training of his own, which is understandable from the Marineford incident, but he never really told me who trained him.
Either way, I'm glad he's living a fair life right now, as Pop's death is put behind everyone who fought in that war two years ago.
He told me he was doing quite well, finding hobbies to keep him busy, as well as rebuilding the Whitebeard Pirates into something more, which makes me glad his life is taking a turn for the better.
With many thoughts running through my mind, the sunset of this day was showing onto the sea, myself sitting on a grassy hill as the trees and the flowers danced with the sea brease.
You look a little different as well, grown up, as you were still Y/B/T, (Your body type.) but you looked stronger, happier, and more intelegent.
Wigs, the ones you used to wear, you got everything that could cover your bald head out of your life, as you learned that being bald, doesn't mean anything different about a person. You learned hwo to embrace yourself, and your bald head, as it is a symbol of beauty, and it shows a symbol of piece to people, just like Saitama did with his bald head-well, kind of.
As i continued to watch the beauty of the sunset in front of me, I felt a familiar presence behind, as Koby sat in the spot next to me. "It's quite beautiful isn't it?" I nod. "Yeah, I'm sure going ot miss doing this everynight....these past two years have been...." He chuckled. "Hard?" I shook my head with a smile. "No-well, yes, but I've never had to much fun in my entire life....learning new skills, eating different kinds of food that's not from my world, even making new friends." I nudge Koby, as he chuckled. "Never expected this when I was first recruited. Training with a girl who will become apart of a pirate crew who's run by Garps Grandson. Especially a girl from a different world. I say, when a mad man tells me that, I'd think their crazy, but a girl like you, with powers like yours, explaining everything that had happened, how can I not belive it?" I smile more.
"Your lucky I didn't turn on you, 'Admrial.'" He snorted. "Future, Admiral, well, that's still the plan anyway. It just makes me think how far both of us came, and it makes me wonder more how far Luffy proceeded, and how strong he became, guess you'll find out tomorrow, huh?" Sighing, I looked back at the sunset. "Yeah..." Many thoughts ran through my head, as I was quite nervous with meeting his crew, as koby could sense my uneasyness, as his head tilted. "Are you alright, Y/n? You seem to be thinking a lot lately..." I let out another sigh. "Let me ask you a question, before you joined the marines, where you ever nervous?" Koby was silent from my question for a moment, before he ssmiled. "Of course I was, all my life I was scared, but, once Garp trained me, and i've became stronger and knew what being a marine was like overall, all my nerves went away. I knew what my purpose was, to achiev the Marine Admiral title, and I know I can let my nerves get away from my goals." His words struck you in the heart, as you smiled again, your eyes then looking to the ground.
"I see...well, I guess I shouldn't be nervous then huh?" Koby chuckled. "Don't get me wrong, it's ok to be nervous when your entering a new chapter in life, but, trust me when I tell you this, the straw-hat pirates will be the nicest people you ever meet, because I know them too." My eyes widened slightly. "Ah, that's right, you told me you've encountered them a few times." He nodded. "Yes I have, and they are strong too, but now that two years have gone by, I'm curious too see how thye have grown, and how they will think of your strength, I have faith Y/n you'll fit right in, because Luffy asked you to be apart of his crew for a reason." Sighing, Koby was right, as my smily grew a lot more. Luffy didn't just ask me because I was desperate, or on the verge of death, he saw potential in me, he saw my strength physically and mentally, and he sought of it as a perfect fit. Plus he saw my loyalty to him, which a captian needs a loyal crew member in order to survive these treturous seas. "The boys right." Both of us looked to Garp, who held his usual smile, as a cookie was in his hands. Koby's eyes widened with the sight, as he got up. "Sir, are you sure your supposed to be have that?! The doctor said-“
“Bah! Screw what the doctor says; I’m grown up and can have anything I want! Besides, I earned this for training you idiots!” Garp interrupted, laughing while taking a bite of his well-deserved cookie. “Sir, with all due respect, sweets are nice to have oonce in a while, but with how old you are, having too much sugar is not the greatest idea-“ Koby got bonked “I CAN EAT THIS COOKIE IF I WANT TO IS THAT CLEAR?!” “Y-Yer sir!” Giggling from the usual antics, Garp sighed and took the final bite of his cookie while looking at me. “Nerves can be a great obstacle when sailing the seas, but trust me on this: my grandson can take your nerves away in an instant; besides all the training we did, all the battle strategies and studies I’ve shown you both, I have full faith you both will make it in this pirate world. Just remember the important tactics in the future when I’ll be chasing you down, and pray that your God will help you throuth. HAHAHAHA!”
His words made my eyes rolled. "I can achieve anything through Christ who strengthens me, so don't be surprised when I don't hold back." My smirk made him laugh more as he patted my back. "That's the spirit kid! Even if you are a pirate or a marine, a strong will and heart will always be a good power when facing tough opponents; just remember not to gloat about the positive attributes since you always have your crew on your side to back you up. Who am I kidding? I'm a marine, not a pirate. HAHAHAH!" Koby sighed. "I think you had enough cookies.." he took to bag, and Garp paused before slumping, and I giggled more. "Thank you guys…I know I'm going to be ok. I've worked hard for this; now it's time to start a new chapter in my life… I will never be more blessed to be alive right now." Turning to the two, I gave them a huge smile. "Thank you both for the best two years of my life; when we meet again, we won't consider friends or family; we'll be rivals with benefits." Koby nodded, smiling at me. "Right!" Garp put a finger to his chin. "Rivals with Benefits huh? I've never heard that before, but consider me a family Rival. Y/n, keep Luffy in check because he will need much help to get through the seas. Especially now that Ace is saved, just don't do anything reckless, alright? Don't wanna drop you off tomorrow, and something went wrong."
I nodded this time. “Of course, Sir. I’ll do my best.” Garp crossed his arms. “Now, you must know a few things when we arrive tomorrow. One, I will give you a 5-minute head start before sending my marines after you. I will give you coordinates to where Luffy’s ship would be, as Rayleigh told me. Find the ship, don’t get caught, and meet your new crew mates, understand?” I nodded again as he continued. “There will be a high chance the Kuma army will be there two, but nothing you can’t handle. Think smartly, not rashly. Therefore, I have nothing else to teach you; now get some rest; we set sail for Sabaody at dawn.” Me and I nodded again. “Yes, sir!” With that, he left, and Koby looked at me. “Are you going to be ok?” Signing, I smiled, looking at him. “Yeah, actually..”
“I have a feeling I’m going to be more than ok…”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Alright, listen up!” It was the next day, as the marine ship you were on was approaching the destination, as Garp was telling you the plan. I had everything ready, all packed, as my excitement grew more. “Here are the coordinates to Luffy ship; before I give you a five-minute head start, you will run into familiar people, new foes, and some idiot lowlife pirates that boast about themselves. Just focus on getting to the Sunny, with no distractions or errors, understand?” I nodded to Garp. “Yes, sir!” He grinned. “Good, now here is a month's supply of food; since I know how Luffy eats, all of this is needed-“ “DID YOU STEEL THE COOKIES FROM HERE?!” Koby snapped as Garp froze, whipping at the boy. “ONLY ONE LUFFY CAN SURVIVE!!” “YOU DID NOT TAKE ONE SIR YOU TOOK A WHOLE BOX!” “LIKE I SAID, LUFFY WILL SURVIVE NOW. SHUT UP!!” Koby got hit with Garp's fists before handing me the food bag, which I could carry easily. “Now, the coordinates should be easy for you to understand since I wrote the instruction for kindergarteners, so don’t screw up and get lost. Once we dock, immediately hop off the ship, no of that emotional goodbye stuff even though I will miss having a girl to train…” he started to get emotional and turned as Koby approached him. “DON’T CRY THEN!” He snapped as I smiled. “It’s okay; crying isn’t a sign of weakness. I’ll see you both again. The two years was just the beginning.”
Koby smiled at my words as he walked closer to me. "Of course, I'll put up a good fight next time." I smiled at his confidence as he held out a fist, but I ignored it and hugged him, and he froze. His face was red; he was shocked that I was doing this. I was getting emotional when I felt his arms wrap around me. "Be safe. Koby… don't get yourself killed.." I whispered as he hugged me tighter; I could feel his breath on my skin. "Same to you, Y/n.." Pulling away, I wiped my tears before looking to Garp, who was still crying while facing out, as I sighed. "Garp." I knelt to him and smiled. "Thank you for training me and helping me to grow stronger. The techniques you taught me will also come in handy for defense. But sometimes, when good people part ways, it's always good to cry occasionally. But don't worry, I won't think any less of your strength because you are crying. I'll be ok, and keep Luffy safe, I promise." His brows knitted together. "You better; I don't want another brat to worry for when I'm chasing me. Besides, you'll be one hell of a pirate, a strong one at that." I smile. "And it's all thanks to you. Well, I guess I should go, huh? Thank you two again. Be safe!" As my five minutes were starting, I grew excited. I bowed, grabbed my stuff, and hopped off the Marine ship, running straight ahead. As Garp and Koby watched, Bogard walked up to the two and just glanced at Garp. "You're giving her more time, aren't you.." Garp laughed. "Of course I am; she'd be considered lucky since this place is confusing; she should be just fine. EVERYONE GET READY TO PULL TO THE FRONT BAY! WE'LL CUT THEM OFF!!" A bunch of 'Yes sirs' rang through the deck as the ship went out of the dock while you, of course, were looking at the directions as you followed the numbers on the trees.
This place was unique, full of bubbles which is meant for a five year old.
Everything looked plastic, even though it wasn’t, as you took a chance to take in the scenery, grasped the food bag and stuff, and adjusted it on your back.
Many people were here, and it was pretty lively with different people. The more I got closer to town, the more excited I felt.
Continuing to run, I tried my best to avoid many people and not make a big scene, as marines were already around the area, but they were probably not under Garp's command.
Making sure not to be seen, I kept a low profile as my posture was normal, my head was down, and my excitement was high.
It was not just excitement running high through me; it was also nervous because I hadn't seen Luffy in two years, let alone met his whole crew, and I heard rumors that they were just as strong as him.
Garp informed me of their names, as they all sounded unique, and I couldn't wait to meet them.
Roronoa Zoro: The fearsome swordsman.
Nami: Cat Burglar or Navigator
Nico Robin: the famous archeologist.
Chopper: The doctor.
Vinsmoke Sanji: The Cook.
Franky: The Shipwright
Brook: The musician
Usopp: The fearless sniper.
All of their titles seemed unique and different, and it made me even more nervous to meet them, as I didn't know where my strength and title stood against them, but I hope I get along with everyone.
As I kept running and running, I arrived at a green-hilled pasture, as more bubbles from this island were formed, until...I saw him.
That's right. I saw Luffy's big backpack on his back as he was in front of Rayleigh, who had trained him for the past two years.
Behind him were two handsome men: a tall, muscular, green-haired guy with a slash on his left eye and the other male beside him, who was blonde, elegant, and had a black go-tee.
"Huh, those two men must be a part of his crew.." I stated as I continued running that way, but as I was heading to them, the Marines yelled to stop Luffy and the two men as they were about to attack.
My eyes widened, and my teeth gritted as I jumped before the three. When I got close enough, my cloak blew in the wind as my fist went back. "NORMAL SPREAD PUNCH!" I yelled, Slamming my fist on the floor as all the marines that were in front of the three suddenly scattered in a large explosion.
The ground rumbled, and the leftover marines' eyes widened as they couldn't believe how much power suddenly occurred.
Dust arose, the chaos in front of Luffy, and the two men widened their eyes as my Silhouette was shown, making Luffy's lips form a bright smile.
"You're an Idiot, Luffy....for not having your guard up all the time.." I stated, a smile curling on my lips as I was revealed.
The marine's eyes widened more when they saw me, as some of them backed away with fear.
"I-It's Y/n L/N's..! The powerful girl that saved Fire Fist Ace years ago!"
"W-Why is she here?! Rumors said she joined a pirate crew; wait, don't tell me.."
"Stop her from helping the Strawhats escape!!!"
Luffy couldn't stop smiling. "Y/n!!! Is that really you?! Wow!! You look so different! HAHA!" Luffy hugged me, and his laughter brought warmth into my ears as I laughed, too, hugging him back. The blonde Male had hearts in his eyes and was waving his arms. "Wah! A pretty lady!!!" I blushed, flattered by the blonde's comment, as the green-haired male stepped forward, grabbing onto his sword handle. "Luffy, you know this girl?"
Luffy smiled, letting go of me as he began to pat my back repeatedly. "It's Y/n! I forgot you all haven't met her yet! She is a part of our crew!" Both of the men froze, as I smiled nervously, and I waved. "H-Hi...I heard a lot about you both...Garp has told me a lot of information...your Zoro and Sanji right?"
The two's eyes widened as Sanji's eyes turned into hearts, his nose bleeding a little. "She knows my name!!" Zoro stepped forward, a little shocked. "Yeah, those are our names... you said Garp told you information about us..which means you were with the Marines?"
Laughing nervously, I scratched the back of my head. "Well, I wasn't a part of the Marines; I just gotta taste what it was like for the past two years. Garp trained me, actually." Sanji paused his simpering as his and Zoro's eyes widened. "Wait, really, Garp trained you?" Sanji asked. "I'm surprised," Zoro added, then continued. "Being the hero of the Marines, I would expect the least of him to train someone who's part of a pirate crew. Well..it's nice to meet you, Y/n gotta admit, you're strong, but are you worth enough to fight alongside Luffy..?" Zoro's calm question caught me by surprise, but I wasn't hesitant when I firmly nodded my head to him before speaking."Luffy has a strong heart and a great dream. People like him deserve Fairness and to achieve his goals and actions in life. Two years ago, I fought alongside him to Save Ace. I won't stop fighting with him until he becomes pirate King. For the world to know even the lowest of people who are pirates or Marines or even just regular people, all deserve Fairness and to live in a world where they won't be bored but have a sense of fun and adventure." My words struck Zoro somehow, as he could see the determination, loyalty, and Kindness in my eyes. He didn't know who I was or what Luffy had brought to the table, but he knew I was loyal to Luffy, making his lips curl into a small smile as I saw his hand go out to me. "Well then, that settles things...dI like you Y/n.....Welcome to the crew..." My heart fluttered as I looked up at him before smiling, as my hand firmly grasped in his. "Thank you both!"
"You kids better go; I'm sure more Marines will be coming this way." A familiar voice spoke, and we all turned to see Rayleigh as I smiled at him. "Rayleigh!" He smiled down at me calmly, his tall form towering over me. Even though his age had seen better days, his looks never failed him, as he was as handsome as ever. "Hello there, Y/n-san; I must say, Garp trained you well. Did you lose weight?" I smiled more at his question as I nodded. "I did! I've never felt better about myself, and I have your Grandpa to thank for that, Luffy." Luffy laughed, holding his stomach with a smile as Rayleigh chuckled.
"Well, I'm proud of you, Y/n; you look good... perfect. Be who you want to be...don't let anyone else tell you who you are, because if you let them..well.." His hand reached out, gently popping a bubble about to land on my nose as my cheeks rose in color, and his smile continued to show the more he looked at me. "Your life won't be as bright as it is now...you don't want that, do you, Y/n?" My heart continued to beat rapidly; I felt like I was going to explode as my head quickly shook, which made him smile more, his hand going onto my head. "Good girl...because bright people like you deserve fairness, just remember that. I want to keep seeing your Kindness when you rise with Luffy on the Grandline; just don't forget to Visit this Old Geezer occasionally, ok? Can you Promise me that?" Nodding from his question, my eyes met his again. "Of course, I'll visit you, Rayleigh; that is a definite promise, right Luffy?" Luffy nodded also. "Yes! That's right! You are not alone anymore, Rayleigh! Your family to us now!" When Luffy smiled, Rayleigh got emotional as he wiped his eyes. "Family huh? I quite like the sound of that...you all better be careful...the Grandline is even more dangerous than ever, so remember to always keep guard and protect each other...you four better head to the Sunny; I'll take care of the Marines here.." Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and I all nodded with Rayleigh's words, as we turned, and started running, heading to Luffy's ship.
Before the Marines could attack us more, Rayleigh fended them off, serving no match against him.
As the four of us ran, heading in the right direction, Luffy smiled brightly beside me. "We have so much to catch up on!" I nodded to his question. "Indeed we do. Luffy." As Luffy smiled brightly again from my agreement, a large shadow cast over the four of us as we paused to see a Giant bird, which widened my eyes.
But, before we could be hesitant, a familiar voice spoke, and we saw the familiar Doctor, known as Chopper, waving and Yelling to Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy.
"Chopper!" Luffy yelled, smiling more as the bird landed. My eyes sparkled when looking at the Reindeer, as he was so cute when he tackled Luffy into a hug, and Zoro and Sanji, the four of their laughter, warmed my heart.
As Chopper looked at Luffy, he looked at the bird. "Everyone is waiting for you, Luffy, at the Sunny!" Luffy's eyes widened. "Robin, Brook, Nami, Usopp, and Franky are there already?! Well, we can't keep them waiting! Zoro, Sanji, Y/n, let's get on the bird and hurry!"
The three of us nodded, soon getting on the bird, which took off, as Chopper directed it to the right path while it flew high in the sky.
I couldn't help but be in awe with the View of this island, as it was pretty beautiful. It was peaceful, flying so high in the sky as I closed my eyes, enjoying the calm wind hitting my skin. The bird continued to head to the Sunny until Luffy saw his ship in his eyes and smiled again. "There it is! OI! GUYS!! EVERYONE!!" He yelled as I looked down at him, and the other members of his crew smiled more, too, getting up from their spots and running to the edge of the boat, greeting him back with the same amount of kindness.
I noticed some of them crying, and it made my heart warm when the bird got closer.
But, then suddenly, a pool of blood came out of Sanji's nose as he flew off the ship, and my eyes widened with shock as the chopper yelled for him as he fell into the water.
Zoro wasn't bothered to get him, as it was customary for his nose to bleed like this; I was just concerned for Sanji as the bird was close enough to Sunny, allowing me, Luffy, chopper, and Zoro to hop on, as Chopper thanked the bird.
As the bird flew away, Usopp cried for Chopper to stop Sanji's nose from bleeding, as Zoro simply walked past, and I looked amongst the Chaos, not knowing what to do as Luffy was too busy admiring Franky's new form. "Excuse me." A voice spoke as I turned to Robin, who looked at me curiously as her tallness towered over me.
"Are you the new crewmember Rayleigh spoke of?" My posture was fixed as soon as she asked that, and I nodded. "Y-Yes, my name is Y/n; it's nice to meet you." My answer piqued Nami's interest. "Oh, so your Y/n! You helped Luffy save Ace!! I'm Nami! It's nice to meet you!" She offered me her hand, and I smiled and shook it. "It's nice to meet you, Nami. Luffy told me so much about you." My statement made her sigh. "I'm sorry if Luffy has caused you trouble. He's a good captain but can be a handful sometimes." I giggled at her statement. "Ah, not Luffy is fine, he's not a handful I promise-" I paused when a Skeleton, or Brook, approached me as he bowed like a gentleman.
"Hello there, beautiful Lady! My name is Brook! I do have one question, if you don't mind me asking." I smiled up at him. "Ok, sure, go ahead." He coughed in his handkerchief before he leaned down to me more. "May I see your panties?" My face fumed red before Nami suddenly bonked his head instantly. "STOP ASKING TO SEE WOMANS PANTIES! YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE HER UNCOMFORTABLE!" she snapped; I was shocked by the sudden outburst but then snorted when holding my mouth as this situation was quite funny. "Don't mind, Brook." I turned to look up at Franky, who had a smile on his face.
"He asks that question to every woman, so don't feel a bit embarrassed; the name's Franky and I gotta say, when I heard Luffy asked a girl like you to join our crew, I didn't believe you'd be this cute." His compliment made my face flush more as Nami's head whipped to him. "Don't add gas to the fire, Franky!" Franky shrugged. "What? It's the truth. Besides, I don't think she's too bothered by it, right?" His wink made me giggle as I nodded. "You're right about that. Say, Franky, I think you're pretty cool; I knew of a Cyborg once." His eyes widened. "Really? What was he like? Strong, tall, handsome?" Watching him smirk, I smile. "He was all three of that thing; sadly, he died when fighting a monster, but he still lives in my heart!" Franky's facial expression changed slightly. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that; you have my respect, Y/n. He must have been a true good friend." I don't remember Genos, but he seemed to be a good friend of Saitama as I nodded with Frankie's command. "Yeah, he sure was.." I looked around before my eyes landed on Usopp and Chopper chatting with Luffy. "And you two must be Chopper and Usopp, correct?" The two pauses when turning to me, as Usopp nodded confidentially, his lips forming a grip. "That's right! I'm Usopp the Great, The most feared sniper of Luffy's crew!" My eyes sparkled with curiosity as I smiled. "That's so cool! So you shoot guns and stuff?!" He smiled nervously at my comment. "Well, not just guns; I can shoot lots of stuff and also make throwables to aid me in a fight, I know; hold your applause; it's awesome..." I smiled more, impressed with his Skill, as Nami glared at him. "We all know you are just being greedy now.." She growled as Usopp froze suddenly before laughing nervously. "I'm a pirate; what do you expect, Nami-"
"Oi, everyone heads up," Zoro spoke, as suddenly a Cannonball flew by Sunny, almost hitting it as it alerted everyone else.
Usopp and I ran over to the ship railing, looking more serious as we looked towards the Marine ships. "Oh no! When did they get here?!" Usopp asked as I glanced that way, as there were about three Navy ships. "It seems there are three Navy ships that way," I stated, as more Cannon balls barely missed the Sunny as I turned to Luffy. "Luffy, should we get rid of them?" But, before he could answer, more Cannonballs flew, heading straight for the ship this time, as the crew prepared to deflect them until pink-like arrows took them down, which alerted us to look at a familiar ship, Boa Hancock's ship.
Smiling, Robin walked up beside us; her face was blank. "That's Kuja's logo." Nami turned to her, confused. "Kuja?" "They're strong Amazonian pirates led by a pirate empress, Warlord." Robin's words shocked Usopp. "A Warlord?!!" Robin turned to him. "Her name is Boa Hancock. They say anyone who sees her will be attracted by her beauty." Brook stood on the other side of me, looking through the scope, as his face turned to shock, pink hinting at his bony facial structure. "Oh, too bright! She is dazzling!" He almost stumbled backward, as I giggled while Usopp caught the scope, looking as well as his mouth nearly dropped to the floor. "Wow! She must be a goddess!" His words widened Sanji's eyes as he hopped up from the floor, bolting to Usopp as he looked. "Goddess? Goddess! Let me see, let me see, where is she-" He paused when he saw her, turned into stone, and I Usopps eyes widened. "He turned into stone!" We both shouted with shock as Luffy came up behind us. "Oh, that's Hancock and the others!" He spoke as Usopp looked at him, as well as Brook and Sanji.
Boa turned her head to look at the sunny, as she saw me smiling which warmed her heart before she winked at me, which made my cheeks rise in color as Brook almost had a heart attack when he flung back.
"She helped us," Luffy spoke. "Let's set sail now!" he ordered, as Nami questioned if he knew her, as he nodded. "Yeah, I was sent to Maiden Island and I became friends with them. They helped Y/n too in keeping her in their country to recover her injuries." He stated as Usopp looked back at Boa's ship. " So that's the legendary female-only island, right? They definitely live up to their name." I nodded with his question before Sanji came up behind Luffy, a dark aura behind him. "Luffy..you were friends with the pirate empress?! HEY! WERE YOU REALLY TRAINING HARD?!" Sanji asked, tears of remorse coming from his eyes as Luffy smiled nervously at him. "Yes, Sanji, I really did train." Sanji slumped, going on all fours as he was crying more, I was then beside him, patting his back. "It's ok Sanji-kun, at least theirs other empresses out there in the sea..." He sobbed more, and my eyes widened as I felt like I made it worse as Zoro walked past, with a blank face. "Ignore his cries, he's grown more than an Idiot since two years ago." Sanji whipped to his feet. "SHUT UP MOSS HEAD!"
Nami sighed, as she spoke up before the two started fighting again. "Okay, let's get ready to set sail now!"
Everyone agreed, as no more marines were attacking us or stopping us from leaving, as a Marine ship was in my view, I saw Garp, Bogard, and Koby, and I smiled at them; waving. "GARP!! KOBY!!! BOGARD!!! THANK YOU FOR THE BEST TWO YEARS OF MY LIFE!!!" I yelled, catching the straw hat's attention, as Usopp and Chopper's eyes widened with fear when seeing Garp's ship.
But, Luffy told the crew not to attack, as everyone saw the tears brimming on Garp and Koby, while Bogard just smirked, as they stated their goodbyes, as it was an emotional moment.
Tears brimmed my eyes also, as the thousand Sunny continued to pull out of port, The three marines stayed until the Sunny's ship was out of sight. But, as the Sunny was sailing across the sea, a bubble roof was formed from the stuff coating the ship, as me, and everyone else's eyes widened as Nami spoke up again.
"Listen up everyone." She opened a paper. "A coated ship can reduce any kind of pressure. So once the floating bag at the ship's bottom which keeps it on the surface has been removed, it'll be less buoyant and start to sink."
"I see." Luffy, Zoro, and I spoke as Nami smiled. "Pretty easy to understand, right? Anyway, spread the sail now!"
Everyone nodded with the agreement as the straw hats, and I prepared to set sail.
Garp was right; Luffy and his crew weren't so bad, as from that day forward, I had a pretty good feeling about the future...as I will not stop fighting along side Luffy until.....
He becomes king of the pirates...

Pirating OPLA, thoughts
Episode 1
Garp being at Roger's execution is a nice touch
Really like how full Luffy's dinghy is-- crates of fruit, a barrel of fish instead of just one barrel of apples--- all makes sense. All the tiny details removed from manga that are just added onto opla for realism-- like the way the execution stand works, too, with the people cranking the manual lift to get roger up there. It's all very cool and makes the setting feel more piraty than mangapiece.
Our beloved Zoro tried to go to Sixis on a cruise ship. This is a good way to casually mention Zoro earlier (plus that's Ace's first island so it actually lines up on the One Piece map to be around Dawn Island--)
"it's worth more than the rest of our loot put together" a nika mention that can be interpreted as just a devil fruit mention
"You should never let anyone tell you what you can't do. If I did that, I never would have left my village to go find the One Piece." Luffy referencing Garp like this is so funny to me
Unlike mangapiece, Luffy invites Coby along before knowing his dream to become a marine. This makes me sad because now I wish la coby joined the crew
opla Shanks is weirdly more serious than mangapiece Shanks. Not necessarily in a bad way, just different. That's the attitude I'm takign for most of opla anyways.
Adding the Mr 7 and Zoro fight here is actually really cool
Beta Nami outfit aaaaa they moved the pre-orange town ship-stealing scene to serve as her introduction scene and that works so well for her.
I love that they all naturally congregated in Ririka's bar. Everyone congregates and chaos occurs. Really like how they switched things up while never really taking things off course.
"PIRATES SPREAD DISEASE" poster on the wall
Coby sliding under the table once a fight breaks outajslkdjalsijdsakj i love him pls
ADORE the barfight. It's Zoro vs Baroque Works but bite-sized and with everything we love about the most consistently badass member of the crew. Thank you.
Zoro really pulled a reverse on Helmeppo lmao. "Three swords? I only need one" proceeds to get curbed by zero swords
oh! Zoro introduced himself as pirate hunter. that makes him different from mangapiece where he explicitly says at some point that he never called himself that. But it fits the opla characterisation so fair enough.
Luffy popping out of the manhole to yell 'thanks' at Zoro just sends me. Makino taught him well.
Nami being the most independent and capable girlboss up until the second Luffy literally crashes into her life and ruins her plan is actually 100% compliant with the basis of their relationship.
Oh is this the ass naked Helmeppo scene everyone's been yelling abo--- oh it is. ok.
I've never realized how badly I wanted a Nami and Luffy fighting together scene until now. I just realized how little of those we get in Mangapiece. Holy shit.
Romance Dawn trio just has this really satisfying trio cohesion that I can't describe. They're forever my favourite trio in the strawhats and opla does a magnificent job of bringing justice to what the manga couldn't give them with its chapter and page limits, since their only trio time together without being dragged around by handicaps was in the gaimon arc.
Makes me a little sad that Coby's involvement in Shells gets cut down a little, but that's fine I guess, he got plenty of touchup in his introduction scene.
Luffy holding back laughter when he sees Helmeppo's hair. Zoro chuckling because "yeah I might've done that" and Nami just being speechless. They're so stupid i love them
Garp going silent when he hears a straw-hat pirate stole the map to the grand line. I like to think this could imply Roger also stole his map once upon a time, but for now I'm just laughing at Garp internally screeching "that STUPID GRANDSON it's been ONE DAY"

IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED EP 1, SCROLL NOW.
Live action review -
One Piece: Romance Dawn
Episode one of the One piece live action... This is only my opinions and views, if you aren't interested in that then cool but I need somewhere to talk. This will be bullet points.
Introduction with Roger's execution and a narrator? A fantastic choice
Roger's casting is actually spot on though?? Why were people complaining he's great for the role, Roger is in his 50s here are you he's sick of course he's not gonna be a super model but he's still stoic looking and I like it
Scottish Garp I shouldn't expect anything less (if they ever get to Sabaody I hope Kidd and Killer are Scottish too lmao)
I like that you can see who's in the crowd too because for the anime/manga people it's like a lil treat (Dragon I see you stop hiding)
Iñaki is perfect. I don't think anyone else would have suited Luffy more, the more the episode continued the more convinced I became
Line delivery is... It could be improved. It's quite theatrical? Like stage place or musical type acting sometimes. Maybe it's what they were going for I don't know, I don't hate it but it made me pause for a few moments because I get really bad second hand embarrassment
Coby and Luffy moments are great, they're dynamic and it's a lovely relationship they have going and you can tell the actors work well together
Shanks and his crew? Absolutely phenomenal. Peter Gadiot is perfect but the trailer did him dirty. My only complaint is I don't think Benn's casting was the best, sorry to the actor but he just doesn't fit quite like the others.
Baby Luffy... Oh my heart is melting
Zoro's intro and choreography was great, lil hint to Baroque Works if we get a S2 hehehe
Nami slayed as per usual, trust in Emily is at it's peak. She isn't just playing Nami, she is Nami
"No, more is better. More is better". I'm sold.
Zoro lugging around the severed torso of Mr 7.
Again, great bar fight scene. I got some second hand embarrassment again from the line delivery but I recover fast and move on
Morgans is... Yh he's there.
Omg they're looking at the sky together, they're such sweeties I'm kicking my legs
Zoro and Luffy's lil talk is so on brand
Nami absolutely eating up every single one of her scenes yet again
Emily and Iñaki work so well omggg
I DIDN'T NEED TO SEE THAT MF BUTT ASS NAKED PLEASE GIVE ME A WARNING MY GOD.
The courtyard fight scene. The courtyard fight scene. Great direction, it's smooth and really well done.
If I'm repulsed when an antagonist has come onto screen then you know they've done the job right.
Coby slayed.
Jeepers creepers those snail phones make me flinch. Anyway, Garp and Bogard eeeee. I just know the Tiktok Bogard guy is happy.
BUGGY!? THE POSE!? THE BUILD UP AND SUSPENCE!? THE MUSIC!? THE SLUTTY LEGS ON THE CHAIR AND HEAD IN THE PALM!? THE VOICE!?
Honestly, 200/10 casting for him and Cabaji
In my most honest opinion, this episode was good. It wasn't the greatest, there's definitely more to come and it's a lovely scene setter and build up. The cast are great, I have a few comments about how they've been directed to deliver lines because it's honestly not the best.
The CGI even now, where there wasn't much needed, is really promising. My favourites so far? Definitely Shanks, Luffy (both mini and big) and Nami. They honestly made the first episode for me. It's got the fun feel of the show, and for a live action it's quite good. I do agree it's not to everyone's taste, my brother watched one scene and didn't like it but that's because he's a skeptic. I have high hopes, let's just hope incels and chronically online shit wipes don't ruin this for me or others... Don't listen to them, it's worth a watch.

I see a lot of people excusing Garp's "inaction" at Marineford, because he was loyal to the Marines for decades and still refused to act etc etc. But like... He took out Marco. He took out the second strongest fighter on Ace's side. It'd be like if someone took out Zoro during their fight against Kaido's crew. How is that inaction??? He actively aided the Marines up until he decided to take one punch from a weakened Luffy, then sat on his ass and watched as Ace became a donut. The man is a rat, and Dadan should have hit him harder.
Garp gets a lot more forgiveness than most other marines in fandom spaces and I'm really not sure why? I think he's a fantastic character, and people think he's cool, but it rubs me the wrong way when people see HIM as a victim of Ace's execution. Garp is the hero of the marines, a literal walking propaganda piece for them - and in the moment of Ace's death, he picked his job over his family. That, of course, is supposed to be the moral question there for Garp, but feeling sorry for him, or Garp feeling sorry for himself, is something I honestly have to laugh at.
The amount of people who say "There was nothing Garp could do!" when, yes, there was PLENTY Garp could do, he just didn't want to risk his JOB and his TITLE within the marines in order to do it. There were multiple instances Garp had to save Ace, but Garp had this "Well, too bad! You're a pirate, and that's the system!" mindset. But the thing is, Ace was a criminal from BIRTH - he literally didn't choose this. It doesn't matter if Ace CHOSE to be a pirate or a marine, if he EVER got found out for his blood, he'd have been executed, but Garp is too deep in the justice of the marines to seem to understand that nor EVER understand Ace's position.
But instead of Garp saving Ace, instead of the man who allegedly calls Ace his grandson doing anything about it, Whitebeard started a FULL OUT WAR to save Ace. And what did Garp do? He participated on the other side of it, because his job, his title, and his belief of the marine's sense of justice are more important to him.
We are quite literally shown to our faces, as Dadan beats Garp up, that Garp was selfish and wrong for what he did to Ace. Makino even tries to interject because "Imagine what Garp is feeling!" to which Dadan says "Imagine what LUFFY is feeling?! He's hurting more than all of us!" and Dadan beats the ever living shit out of Garp because - she's right! Garp DID let this happen, Garp didn't actively try to stop it, in fact, even worked FOR it, and Dadan is letting Garp know he has no RIGHT to feel sorry for himself for this.
As I've said before, I do like Garp - I think he's a very morally interesting character. But this idea that Garp couldn't DO anything, that Ace CHOSE this path so of course this happened, is bullshit. It's all excuses to feel sorry FOR Garp. I do not feel sorry for him, just like Dadan, I was mad at him. I still am! Current arcs are showing us that, if you ARE on Garp's side, and if he doesn't actually RISK his title, he will do his ALL to save you (talking about Koby). But if you impose a threat to his job and his title, and if you impose a threat to the justice of the marines, Garp will do little, if anything, to help you. Garp barely even raised Ace on Roger's request, that was ALL Dadan, and I'm team Dadan ALL the way cause she was the only one who really embodied what I was feeling towards Garp in that moment.
ANYWAYS, sorry for the rant! That all just came out because I have such heavy feelings about Garp's role in Ace's execution, and I see so many people painting Garp as a victim of that which I don't agree with at all lol. Thanks for the ask anon!

Carry my burdens
(I seem to really enjoy the discovery of Marco as a person from the perspective of other people lmfao) (trigger warning gore)
The first time Ace remembers feeling his soulmate's pain is just after Garp's dumped him with the bandits. It blooms over his cheekbone, feeling like a crack and a shift inside his face, and he flinches hard. He rubs the spot, tears welling up, and then it's gone under a flash of warmth like a rag that was dipped in hot water dragged over the spot.
Dadan huffs and tells him that his soulmate probably got slapped. Ace isn't so sure. Years later, when some adult who hates Roger breaks his cheekbone, he remembers that moment and knows suddenly it wasn't a slap. But it makes him wonder why it disappeared so quickly.
It happens the same way every time. Sometimes sharp, sometimes dull; always hard and fast and bone-breaking, and enough to make Ace flinch and want to cry or scream with it. Ace's tolerance for his own pain grows, but even his own wounds are nothing in comparison to the stuff his soulmate experiences. His only consolation is that his soulmate's pain never lasts longer than a few seconds or a minute at most. Sabo and Luffy timed him, once, when he felt something pierce his chest that sent him to the ground in a hysterical fit. Like a hot lance through his ribs and heart and out his back, he screamed for a solid 45 seconds before it disappeared, once again, under a rush of warmth.
He thought, for a time, that he might hate his soulmate. While it didn't last long, it was always intense and horrifyingly hard. Why was it always like this? What were they doing that they were hurt in such terrible ways? How did they make it go away so quickly?
He thought he'd never have an answer until Whitebeard. Until after he took the mark. Until his first real fight on Pops' crew.
A rival crew from the North Blue challenging for territory. A man with a shotgun, blunt and mean looking. Ace had been only a few feet away and the resulting spray of horrible buckshot went painlessly through his fire.
It did not painlessly pass through Marco. Half of Marco's skull disappeared in a messy riot of giblets, strings of flesh and bits of bone bouncing off the deck. Marco's shoulder and arm and torso were instantly shredded like they'd been fed into a grinder. Pain, so similar and yet unlike anything he'd experienced before, exploded over Ace's side, arm, shoulder, and face.
His scream stopped everything dead in it's tracks. He didn't know he'd collapsed until the pain stopped-the warmth that always came gentling it away. When he could open his eyes again, Marco was a vision of blue wings and a golden beak bathed in red. The man with the shotgun was in pieces and somewhere in the world that man's soulmate learned what happens to people when their soulmate dies.
When the fighting was over, nobody believed him when he insisted he was fine. That was he felt wasn't his own pain, it was fine, he was fire anyway nobody was going to be able to hurt him while he was on the ground.
Marco locked them into his office, looking haunted and tired in a way Ace had never seen him before. He sagged into his chair, rubbed his hands over his face, and said
"I'm sorry-yoi. I never meant to do any of this to you."

One Piece Live Action Thought
I just finished with the live action serie and here is some of my thoughts:
The good:
Wierd characters designs. I love how the kept it and didnt turn it into a joke how wierd people dressed at times. Or changing it to make them look cooler or more normal. Mihawk still has his wierdly shaped facial hair. Merrys has his horns and Kujo has his poop suit.
Handeling of arc. I like how the mixed the arcs together more so it wasnt as spontaneous were they sailed towards. There was a goal for the crew. It kinda felt like how dressrosa- wano was like.
Buggy He was great. Actually pretty scary here. He is still silly and I can see that if they kept him as the comic relief he is like in the original might not have gone as well in live action.
The natrual:
Luffys personality. He is more down to earth in the live action. And wholesome and not as carefree like in the original. He isnt unloveble, I just love the "oh, hes little fucked up actually" feel he has in the original. But seeing a real person act the way original Luffy does could be irritating?
Zoros personality. He has the current personality. I do love it. But Im sure Im not the only one that wished he had his old east blue personality. Where he laugh at Luffys antics and was messing around himself. and then after fighting Mihawk he could have gotten more serious after realising the distans that was between him and the greatest.
The bad:
Garp He went from the good, to natrual, to bad. He was good with the execution. While it was odd why he would be the one to order the execution, I could see it him getting the 'honor' for capturing Gol D Roger. And when he got the call to investigate seashell towns burglary was also nice. Even if it was wierd that Garp would be the one to investigate it when he dont operate in East blue. But I guessed that he was on his way to visit Windmill Village and because he was of high rank and close he was asked to go there. But then he was going to hunt down the strawhats and it just seemed out of the place so Garp ended up on natural for me. But after that the more he was seen the more I disliked him being there. He just didnt seem like Garp to me. Like he was frustrated that Mihawk didnt catch him?? Is this really Garp we talking about? And consider Oda was against adding Garp this early on is proof that its right that he doesnt fit. And with having Garp be introduced as Luffys granpa already and having him do the throwing canon ball scene just made it seem like Netlix had already decided they wont to the entire serie. So they did the cool scenes now so its done.
Mihawks Personality I dislike listening to him. He sounded so snobby. I liked his "Im bored, tired and nothing excites me anymore" personality in the original serie. You never know where he stand on any subject. He is a morally gray character that did think what he felt like at the moment. But in the live action he sounded like he looked down at everyone. And how did he know Luffy was garps grandson?? Wasnt that suppose to be a secret from everyone?!
No Loguetown I was bit dissipointed that there were no Loguetown. Maybe the Garp part took up too much time so they didnt have time with the last island. I just assumed they would make the entire East Blue saga in this season. And have them sailing towards the reverse mountain as the cliffhanger.

Golden Age - Gol D. Roger
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Troll name: Goldee Rodger Blood status: Rust, mutant Gender status: Male Quadrant mates: Rayleigh♦️, Rouge♥️, Garp♠️, Sengoku♣️ Descendants: Hancock, Ace Associations: Roger Pirates
Background:
Roger was born a rust mutant. He has fins and gills (red colored) despite being a rustblood and ability to breathe underswater and swim really well.
He both has strong psionic abilities (rust telekinesis + the Voice of all things) and has superior physical strength like highbloods.
He is also mostly immuned to psychic powers.
He was due for culling in the brooding cavern but Rayleigh smuggled him out. He was entrusted to some sympathetic lusus to raise.
At 8 sweeps (17 years) old Roger went out for adventure.
He started by tracking down the jade who saved him as a grub (Rayleigh) and invited Rayleigh to join him as a pirate.
With his mutant biology, it is never clear how long he would live, so Roger was determined to make the most of his life
The Roger pirates gained much notoriety opposing the government.
They did much typical pirates stuffs of pilaging and murdering, but also sabotaging empire operation and destroying drones
Once they destroyed a brooding cavern that was under the empire's control, freeing the enslaved jadebloods and stopping the culling. That was where they found Shanks in a treasure chest.
They took in young Buggy after on a hunting trip they accidentally killed his abusive lusus.
Roger often wears pink clothes, which is a deliberate intimidation tactic at sea since many cower at the thought of being attacked by a fuchsia. This is further supported thanks to his seadwellers characteristics that allowed him to attack from underwater.
Roger also likes to wear his actual red and colors of his quadrants, mostly Rouge and Rayleigh’s greens, and sometimes Garp’s blue if he wants to taunt the other into a fight.
Not many people know his real blood color.
His crew since they are in close quarters, but otherwise only his quadrants and some of their quadrants.
Also The Condesce because she wants to hunt him dead for piracy and also for mocking her based on information she doesn’t have (knowledge of her unavoidable and eternal servitude under Lord English was also written in the One Piece).
Others only thought he was a fuchsia mutant. The Condesce suppressed this information because she doesn’t want the public to know she was outsmarted by a mere rustblood.
Roger was also wrought by the terminal illness that killed him at 24 sweeps (53 years) old.
Here, the illness is caused by the incompatibility between aspects of his biology, namely the highblood capabilities putting too much strain on his red blood biology. 24 sweeps is also about the maximum lifespan of a typical rustblood.
Similarly, he went out by turning himself in to the government to be publicly executed, and ended up inspiring a new generation of pirates and rebels.

Au idea I was reading about how whitebeard wanted to adopt luffy in the Shanks au headcannon and thought about a switch au where basically luffy trade's places with ace his dad will still be dragon and ace's dad is still Roger he will just be older than Ace and Sabo
That is what I have so far please feel free to add I just love the idea and wanted to share with you
That's actually amazing.
Roger will die 3 years later and Dragon has Luffy 3 years earlier
Luffy will still meet Shanks but he doesn't want to be the pirate king
Ace won't have as many issues and Sabo won't nearly die
Luffy still has the Nika fruit
Continuing with childhood, Luffy gets conquers haki when Ace was supposed to but 3 years Later when Ace is ten he still gets conquers
Because I don't want a 7-year-old with conquers
Luffy gets obversion as a child solely because he's an protective older brother and does everything in his power to stop Garp from being Garp
The entire Smoker thing will happen with Ace and Sabo, Dragon will protect them for being Luffy's brothers
They're switching crews, mostly because I have no idea how to incorporate people like Zoro with this Luffy
Ace wants to be better than his father and how better to do that than be a better king.
Luffy's new crew will be known as that pirate crew that will fight anyone and everyone for literally no reason other than pride and thinking it's fun.
They meet some whitebeards randomly at a bar and kick it off
After that whitebeard wants the crew to join him
Before hand he just thought that they were interesting
Now when teach betrayed the whitebeards Luffy went after him instead
He'll do all the Ace things but I'm saying that he's worth a billion beri because he settled down
Him and teach will fight, he'll lose and get sent to impele down and get sentenced to death for being dragon's son being the whitebeard 2nd division Commander.
At marineford he'll die but dying to Kaido awaked his devil fruit in cannon so I'm saying that that happens here as well.
He'll live
He'll also spend the time skip training his dumbass brothers
Idk if Sabo gets a devil fruit but if he does it's one that gives him psychic powers
The whitebeards watch as for the first the since they met Luffy he has an actual goal and isn't going through life doing what interested him.
I'm am saying this wholeheartedly, Ace and Sabo can kill Kaido when Luffy did.
Ace's devil fruit was useless in the fight but haki was not
With that said, I'm making this an au because it would put me at an even 20, but this is an amazing idea I do hope you do something with it.

One Piece Chapter 1079 - Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
Well we know who the traitor is now
but we also know that Egghead is gonna beget a huge incident pieces are moving but are they taking shape?
Let's find out!
Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Release too!
I guess the formation of Neo-MADS has ended the Germa cover story, which is okay but I'd rather have had more for Reiju. The cover we got today was nice though, poor lion
Sticking with it just for one more thing I hope we get some cover stories about the Wano aftermath, I mean Wano and Zou are still high alert areas given that they house two of four Road Poneglyphs. Be nice to see a bit more development for Yamato and Carrot too, while also getting a bit of feedback on what happened to the remaining Beast Pirates, Big Mom Pirates and how the allies are adjusting to the newly liberated Wano
To the chapter though and we see a more serious York lay out her plans to the Seraphim
She is at least aware that the Gorosei have targeted her as well, but she wants to keep the Stella alive, probably for leverage, as well as the CP agents she's been starving
Also quick clarity that she did stage S-Snake to attack her then free her when out of sight
Still curious however why Lilith wasn't killed after being stoned though?
Also another overly gratuitous ass shot with York this chapter too...
Seems there's a room York doesn't want damaged though, I wonder if it's the secret lab or the paw room
Whichever it is, I would suspect S-Snake is going there to guard it
Egghead's residents are escaping, but a familiar raft-like ship is approaching
The Blackbeard Pirates are coming to Egghead! So of course we're all now worried for Law, however it's worth noting that this may not be Teach's main ship, meaning this could be Devon, Lafitte, Pizzaro, Vasco, Shiryu or Aokiji rolling up, maybe even the tenth Titanic Captain
They're probably after the Seraphim info after Amazon Lily, but this does bode poorly for the Egghead residents given that the Navy is also coming with an Admiral and Gorosei
Also let's not forget Caribou, man who knows about 2 ancient weapons may jump ship to the Blackbeard pirates just to get out - which then endangers Luffy's two territories homing them
Naturally, Oda refuses then to elaborate, it's time for more Elbaf stuff!
Kid is approached by some captains of Shanks' fleet, we got a frog guy, an old guy and then a bratty princess who called Kid a pleb
Kid is disappointed in the lineup, despite Killer's warnings that there are 'big names' there
But Shanks has told them to retreat, he wants to handle this shit himself
The groups of allies seem to be in good spirits about it though, turns out his fleet is 'notoriously weak' which they seem to acknowledge themselves
He's sizing up Kid too, noting not to underestimate him and checking on his health status since Wano
Man he even looked up his wikipedia history
Turns out Blackbeard isn't on his island, this seems like Oda misdirecting us because he could still be fighting Law, but this is an important note since Garp is going to Pirate Island to free Coby, so he may not get much resistance
Kid's not wasting any time though, whipping out his Awakened Magnum Glock (Glock! I said Glock! Get your head outta the gutter!)
Shanks has futuresight confirmed, as he sees the damage Kid is about to do and jumps into action
HO SHIT HE USED DIVINE DEPARTURE!
He used the move Roger did on Oden! And it obliterated the big gun and caught a ton of Kid's crew in the backlash, in both damage and Conqueror's Haki
Shanks just one-shotted Kid and got Killer for extra
Kid's crew of course know they're outmatched, so they hand over their Poneglyph rubbings without question
Shanks may spare them, but Elbaf may not
Dorry and Brogy set up an Hakoku on the coast of Elbaf
Completely bisects the ship, RIP to the Victoria Punk and its badass design
As the Kid pirates are sent into the drink, the Narrator emulates Sabaody by saying the Kid Pirates were 'completely eradicated'
NOOOOO NOT A BREAK!
Well then...
We knew Shanks was strong but considering how Kid survived longer against Kaido I think the world may've underrated his strength there.
First and foremost, no I don't think Kid and Killer will die, it doesn't seem on brand with Shanks or One Piece to kill off characters this way, being completely defeated however may lead into Kid losing hope and giving up on being a pirate, or lashing out because of how badly defeated he's been again
Glad we at least covered York's plan a bit more, I am intrigued about the room she wants to protect. The arrival of a Blackbeard ship may lead more into why Egghead is such a shocking incident. My gut tells me it's Aokiji, because he is linked to Ohara, but I also think Vasco and Devon may want to redeem themselves, it's worth reminding too that Robin will be a target of theirs regardless of whether Pudding awakens her powers or not, plus Vasco and Pizarro are the only two BB pirates whose powers are completely unknown to us, so they have more to offer in terms of conflict. I am putting my chips down on Caribou sailing off with them too, though I wouldn't put it past Oda to add more fire to the pot: the Revolutionary Army was made as a response to Ohara so they may jump into action there, plus we know nothing about what the Cross Guild intends to to, surely they will need to collect Poneglyph rubbings in some way too.
But to recap, the moving pieces as we know them are
Straw Hat Pirates, Stussy & CP0: Hunted on Egghead's Labophase by Seraphim, unaware of York treachery
Vegapunk: Stella trapped, York awaiting next phase, Lilith stoned, Edison KO'd but alive, Atlas with Robin and Chopper, Shaka and Pythagoras dead
Bonney: Processing Kuma's memory paw
Caribou: Unknown but not wanting to be on Egghead
Sentomaru: On Egghead floor recovering from injury, ordered Mark 3s to ensure Vegapunk's escape, civilians being escorted
Garp, Helmeppo & others: Going to Fullalead (revealed to not have Blackbeard present) to rescue Coby
Heart Pirates: last seen fighting Blackbeard, Doc Q, Van Augur & Jesus Burgess on a ship that had Pudding as prisoner
Kid Pirates: Obliterated by Shanks, Dory and Broggy off the coast of Elbaf
Kizaru: Escorting a Gorosei (Saturn) with a fleet of several Navy branches en route to Egghead
Marco: Implored by Buckin to save Weevil from Green Bull
Kuma: Scaling the Red Line, reason unknown
Revolutionary Army: Last seen on Kambakka Kingdom, thoroughly confused
Vivi: With Wapol on Morgans' airship
And more is likely due to unfold, jeez louise Oda is cooking.

I finally got to sit down and finish episode one, and i've got some thoughts!!
I think that introducing garp as a big player right from the get go is a really great idea. His presence at the execution made sense, and his dynamic with roger did well to help establish both of their characterisations
Roger's actor did a phenomenal job with the eerie laugh and his complete irreverance in the face of his own death. I love how he delivered the wealth fame power speech!
It was a bit surprising to me that they showed roger actually getting killed, but honestly i'm in total approval of this direction they're taking with the live action. I really like the more brutal approach, especially because oda's refusal to kill anyone outside of flashbacks pre-marineford is one of the biggest complaints i tend to hear from people. Seeing zoro dragging around the top half mr 7's corpse was so jarring, but it was a good choice
Ilia's perfrmance as alvida was absolutely amazing. I like that they changed her catchphrase from the most beautiful woman on the seas to the most powerful
Overall, i really like the different transitions between plot points, and how this episode set things up in future arcs. All the different things that go on in shells town feel so much more better interconnected than they did in the manga. I'll go into this more in another post, but like one example of what i'm talking about is how the reason zoro allowed himself to be tied to the post was because morgan threatened that if he didn't agree to it, he wouldn't be able to collect any more bounties from any marine bases. It also gives zoro mire of a reason to join luffy - he knows that at this point there's no eay he can continue being a bounty hunter now that morgan has it out for him. So how else is he going to meet other strong swordsmen? By joining a pirate crew of course.
The shanks flashback was awesome! His dynamic with luffy was really endearing, and again i do like that they didn't have higuma attack shanks. That's one thing that never really made sense to me in the manga - i get thst yoy don't have to solve everything with violence, but there's no reason for shanks not to have fought back against someone who was attacking him, even if he did know they couldn't possibly hurt him
Also on shanks' flashback - the scene where he found out luffy had eaten the devil fruit was AMAZING. What a fantastic idea to have little luffy framed in sunlight! And the utter heartbreak on shanks' face as he realizes that there's no way luffy will ever be able to have a normal life now...
Of course, we gotta mention the snippet of Binks' Sake we heard in the scene where shanks is stitching up luffy's cut. I recognized it instantly and it made me really emotional. Love all these little easter eggs they have for long time fans of the series. In addition to this there was alsp the cavendish, foxy, and bellamy wanted posters which we knew about from the trailer
Speaking of wanted posters - what a COOL way to introduce the other pirates!
Morgan going on his monologue about capturing kuro is SO funny know what's gonna happen on a few episodes. Oda played it a lot more subtle in the manga but i like that they came right out and said it here.
And while we're talking about foreshadowing, it was a fantastic idea to include the mr 7 fight in this season! I really hope we get a season 2, just sp we can get the payoff for this great setup.
I'm a little sad that we didn't get to see the luffy and koby hug that was shown in the behind the scenes video (i think that was the one?). I really hope that wasn't cut because i loved that little scene. Maybe it'll happen later in the season?
Buggy's introduction at the end of the episode was SO good. I loved his whole vibe, with him lounging so confidently in his chair, his creepy laugh, everything. I'm excited to see the next episode! They better not have cut chouchou out 😭

Mihawk and his three sons in the Golden verse taking the time between his jobs and all their chores to teach the boys haki and fighting and educating them to the best of his abilities. Luffy struggles with everything book related because it's boring, Dad. It's not like haki or fighting where he has to pay attention or he might get hurt by someone but it's also fun so it's easy to pay attention. Ace also finds it boring because why do they need this stuff if he and Luffy are going to be pirates. Mihawk tells them both it's important because the best pirates know how to split their treasure amongst their crews and can read the logs their navigators make. Mihawk is surprised at how emotionally intelligent Luffy is for being so young, and says that's something all good captains have as well.
When Luffy asks why he doesn't have a crew Mihawk chuckles and says his goal was to never be a pirate, it was just the easiest way to accomplish his goal of becoming the world's greatest swordsman. Ace asks if his dad ever knew this stuff and Mihawk says he did. He's not lying either, Roger may have been incredibly impulsive but he was the king of the pirates for a reason.
Ace and Luffy are so used to sleeping together in a hut in the jungle their room has two beds that are sizable because he thinks they may just climb into each other's beds. No, usually Sanji wakes him up when he climbs into his bed first, sometimes it's Luffy, rarely ever Ace who only comes when his nightmares are extreme. Mihawk wakes most mornings to three extra bodies in his bed. Most of the time he can pry himself from the pile of children that have somehow heeped on him but some mornings Mihawk does not and lets himself sleep longer. Sanji and Luffy are relatively the same size until Sanji is about twelve, thirteen when the food finally sticks to him and he almost matches Ace in height for a while.
Garp compliments Mihawk on his raising of the boys, saying they'll be good Marines when the time is right. Mihawk doesn't argue with him, just cocks a brow at the elder. They talk about Garp's failures as a parent, an honest talk they weren't expecting to have but a welcome one. When Ace shows Garp his fruit he blinks and sighs and Luffy tells Garp that when he told Mihawk he ran so fast it was really fun.
They take a few photos together when Luffy discovers a snail camera. The others are all very candid shots of his sons or him and one or two of them doing something mundane or Mihawk looking shocked or appalled at one of them, usually Luffy, doing something that only children raised in a jungle can think of. Mihawk took it to his room one night and somehow woke up under a pile of teenagers and took a proto selfie with the poor snail who he later fed a delicious salad as both thanks and penance.
It's his favorite photo though. Sanji has his head on Mihawk's bicep and a leg hooked with his, Ace's head is on Sanji's stomach but his body crosses Mihawk's legs and Luffy has his head tucked under Mihawk's chin and is somehow on all three of them. Mihawk does not understand how a sixteen, fifteen, and thirteen year old can all weigh that much but Mihawk is raising two Ds who were in a jungle and a kid who wants to be a cook and will feed them pretty much whenever they ask.
Zoro and Perona finding out during their stay on Kuraigana. Perona yelling that the rubber jerk is his kid and Zoro asking how the fuck Luffy, the cook, and Ace are his kids when they look nothing alike. Mihawk watching them have meltdowns over his kids while he drinks wine. Mihawk simply says adoption is a wonderful thing which makes Perona and Zoro scream.

One Piece 1096 Spoilers!
... Things I liked this week!
GOOD cover page, love seeing Zoro in goofy predicaments again
This entire GV situation is horrific to a degree that feels asinine to describe... but calling the people being hunted "rabbits" genuinely makes my stomach turn
Who are the "children"... are they other Holy Knights, or CDs we'll meet in the future?
Oh hi Kong! you will never be able to wash the blood from your hands!
I love that Garp didn't give a shit until he heard Roger was going to be there. That's so yaoi!
I *entirely* forgot that this is where Kaido got his fruit.
oh Ginny, such a fateful endeavour...
I fucking love Kuma and Ivankov so much more with this flashback...
I'm probably off the mark but that flag of Rocks'... does he have the Mero Mero no Mi?? This feels stupid but that skull *looks* like its flaming... it could be the Yami Yami but then that'd surely be more obvious... idk!
THE
ROCKS
FUCKING
PIRATES
ARE IN THE HOUSE!!!!!!
god I got shivers when I beheld this page... the utter hype on display!
so aside from the usual suspects we can see Captain John and Shiki, as well as Gloriosa!! I had no idea she was in this crew but waow!! Bad bitchery all round!!
and two other shadowy figures who get closeup panels... who could they be...?
"Today's the final fight, I assume"... "That's the idea!!" ngl those "Rocks wasn't the villain" speculations are gaining ground...
Like it was be beautifully bleak if, when this concentrated effort to destroy the Celestial Dragons in one fell swoop failed and Rocks was defeated, THIS was what made Big Mom and Kaido into the monsters they'd become. I can't help but wonder how this influenced Whitebeard afterwards too...
as my OP Bestie said, Roger looks so much Shanks minus moustache and captain's hat that it's a little discombobulating lmao
the skull dude and baddie behind Figarland look really cool... we likely won't see them again but I like these little incidental character designs.
BOGART! the years have been kind to him I must say
jfc, Ivankov was THIS close to being a big blue dragon... lucky for him I guess. the fruit he did eventually get is way more his style hehe
how the hell did they escape if fucking SATURN and possibly other Gorosei were there?? not to mention the 3 way wam bam going on down below?? I don't know that we'll ever see all of what happened here (the important stuff anyway) but MAN I hope we do somehow
hell, Gloriosa is still alive last I heard, she can spill the beans! or Stussy! or Shiki even if he's in canon limbo!
man the sky above God Valley is gonna look like Swiss cheese with all of the haki splitting going on below
KUMA HAS BECOME CATHOLIC
This boy saved 500 people with a power he only just obtained... I need to see who's responsible for giving him the name 'Tyrant' bc i am going to redden his arse for besmirching my boy Kuma's name!!!!!!
so, is this church dedicated to the worship of Nika? we've not really seen religion outside of Skypeia... how intriguing...
I think it's safe to say Ginny will eventually be the mother of Bonney hehe... she and kid Kuma are really cute together... I guess next chapter, we see how she dies :'''D yippee....
goddddddddd what a tantalising chapter... as many new questions as answers... and more next week!! I'm going to be devastated and I can't wait!!
Until next week friends! 💪❌

I'm watching one piece. I'm on episode 512. Major spoilers for the marinefort arc so if you don't want that spoiled don't read.
I have made a literal blog post blogging about my feelings when it comes to one piece. If you wish to read an essay of how emotional I get about one piece and how much it makes me cry written by a tired, high, queer guy... Then this is the post for you.
Okay. I have been incredibly emotional watching this show. It has the perfect ebb and flow with the major arcs. They build stories up so well. I could talk about this for hours. I sobbed watching the enies lobby arc. I think about Robins I WANT TO LIVE! Fucking constantly. At least once a day. I kinda want it tattooed but I don't know if I want the manga panel or just the words. And then also maybe that's a weird thing to tattoo. Anyway. She's my absolute favourite anime "girl" (quotes cuz she's a woman and it feels weird calling her a girl but this feels fedora-y i hate this). Robins just so cool and I wanna sit and hear about the lands history from her and I want her to tell me about all the theories that the archeology world has going.
But anyway I've been watching this marinefort arc and I had spoiled Aces death ahead of time for myself. So I was really struggling because I was really anxious to see it? Not because I was particularly attached to Ace, but because I'm very protective of Luffy and that's his brother so of course I care like he's my own brother. (I feel like I'm not making sense, I am high and also I have adhd lol)
But I didn't cry for Ace's death somehow. I think I was just so... Not shocked but like stunned? And also so angry that they worked so hard to get to him and Ace just had to stand his ground and I can even respect that but then the double whammy of he ultimately died to protect Luffy. And I just couldn't process that at the time. So I didn't cry. But the whole mini arc after that, the kid one? I was crying left and right at every single thing ace said. I wanted to punch Garp cuz he's an idiot. I wanted to punch Garp more for punching literal children. But mostly I cried because you learn about ace standing up to danger even when that's not the best option and you find out Roger did that too. And it turns out that ace has done it before, also to protect Luffy. Like bro Luffy is Ace's world man, like that's his baby brother and Ace is the fuckin best big bro ever. Made me miss being a kid with my brother when we used to wrestle and roughhouse all the time and have play fights and stuff. My brother is 10 years older than me, so it wasn't much of a fight ever but I remember having a blast. We don't talk anymore and that really sucks, but shit happened and I don't think the relationship will be quite the same unless he gets some therapy or a divorce or both. Anyway. Maybe that's why Ace's death is hitting me so weird, it's like too relatable?
Anyway. I've been off and on crying because of all the crew members finding out about the war and immediately trying to get the fuck to sabaody even if it kills em and I just was like oh my god everyone cares so much. Oh my god and when Jinbe was tryna get Luffy to snap out of it so he'd stop hurting himself and he was like don't you have something worth living for?? And Luffy is remembering his crew one by one I was like "Your crew! 😭" "I've missed our crew too! 😭😭" Bro I really wanna be a pirate on luffys ship. I have no idea what I'd do, I'm not superhuman smart or strong or have some sort of gimmick... None of my SpIns are useful in battle or could be adapted to be useful in battle lol. I'd have to eat a devil fruit for sure cuz there's no way I'd accidentally stumbled ass backwards into haki how I am now. Anyway. Crying.
The whole reason I made this post. I thought I was good. I thought surely, this is gonna be a time when I don't cry. They're finally telling us the full meaning behind what luffys message was and giving us a better look at the photo of Luffy. Cool. Ooo, crocodile. Oh shit? The new gay lovers are going to the new world? With what crew?
Awwww oh my goodness. Everyones home towns... Oh my god Dadan! DADAN. "REST IN PEACE YOU BRAT!" had me HICCUP CRYING. IT STARTED WITH A HICCUP TOO. I had to pause and do a reality check when you're like too deep in the media ya know? Cuz I was like holy fuckin shit get ahold of yourself man. And then I realized that this show feels like free therapy with how much I fuckin cry. And then I was like I gotta ramble about this so here we are.
